Headquarters is a great place to find all sorts of things! I purchased pepper spray and a pocketknife, and the staff was incredible helpful explaining the pros and cons of the different types available. My husband also purchased a silicone ring as a replacement wedding band, which was an unexpected find. Ultimately, I highly recommend checking this place out whether you're in the market for military goods or a few self-defense items. 10/10, would shop again!

Headquarters Military Surplus has been my go to for a variety of supplies. I spent twenty-five years in Law Enforcement, including being on the SWAT (ERT) team, camping, hiking, managing a farm and currently doing construction work. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.

I love this place. The staff is always welcoming. The helped us with a big paintball purchase years ago and have kept my business. Lots of BDU clothes, some second hand. Staff is knowledgeable on the vast assortment of available wares. Definitely one of THE BEST army surplus stores in the Tampa area.

Outstanding Customer Service! Wonderful variety and quality! If you have a question, Mike is the Man! He answered several technical questions with sensible, well researched information. I don’t know about the negative reviews. My experience was fantastic. I thought the prices were reasonable considering the variety of sizes and sheer number of items in stock. You will always pay a little more to get it TODAY and go. Many items were actually cheaper than online. As far as the professional yet friendly nature of the staff, I couldn’t have felt more welcome and at home! I will return many times in the future! If you are in Tampa, make the trip and check out this gem. You will not be disappointed!

Grate place , grate people !! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Bought the USSF ka bar there today . none of the other knife retailers i deal with had one, some hadn't even heard of them. So for one of a kind items and tactical gear Headquarters is the place to go

First time visiting this place in all it was great.Thay have almost anything you could want fairly priced.I ended up leaving empty handed though,It seemed there was plenty of smalls and x-large and up in there t-shirts but I had hard time finding larges.There is so much freight it almost feels cramped needs more space

March 5th 2015 - This store is excellent in all aspects. 1) Great variety & quality product 2) Reasonable prices (spot on. exactly what I expected to pay) 3) Service was perfect (They listened and lead me straight to the product I needed.They even held the door open for me!) I'm a bit suss about the old reviews that were providing poor feedback. Too many consistent wording/phrases were repeated in multiple reviews which leads me to think it's a competitor with a mean spirit. Old reviews are worth nothing anyway. Please visit the store and decide for yourself. You will thank yourself for it! I will definitely be a return-customer.

This place has not changed in the last 20 something years. It was our go to place when my oldest son was in to paintball in the late 90s, and my youngest son and I stopped by recently. The employees are friendly, and the store is well stocked.

If you are looking for military equipment these folks have them. I went in looking for compass and other small things for my road trip and they had what I was looking for. Excellent customer service. The employee at the front counter helped me out and answered all my questions. This will be my go to place for survival needs. I recommend this place. Thanks

I went in to return a pair of work boots (that cost $130) my husband purchased b/c they were one size too big. He bought them in the middle of June, but with our hectic schedules I was unable to make my way back up to the store until 2months after (almost 3 months b/c it was August 30th & he got them the 1st wk of June) he purchased them. When I walked inside I was immediately greeted by two lovely ladies(which you never get anymore) who were eager, & ready to help me. I explained the problem and they exchanged the boots right away. She even got the ones I needed for me so I didn't have to roam around endlessly in a store that I was unfamiliar with. I was so relieved when she said "Its no problem" b/c I was scared that I had waited too long for an exchange, and we were going to be in the hole $129. Especially b/c he really needed new work boots ASAP, and they are not cheap! I was in and out of the store in less than 15 minutes (the reason it took that long was because I was looking around, she had the new boots for me within seconds) and I have to say that I am 110% impressed with their customer service. It's nice to know that people still understand how hard it is to get all of your errands finished when all you do is work 24/7. I would/& will definitely recommend this business to people that I know. And once I tell my husband about my experience here today I know that he will do the same.

Awesome Military Surplus & More! My daughter Grace and I stopped by today to pick up Civil Air Patrol uniform items we couldn't find anywhere else locally, and not only did we find everything we were looking for, but we ended up getting a few extra items since the pricing on t-shirts and belts was more than acceptable (even cheaper than eBay!!!). Mike was the CS rep who helped us and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and help guide us to the items we needed. I have ZERO doubt we will be returning to HQ Military Surplus the next time we need military gear (and even cast iron cooking pots & pans too!). #TGBATG

I've been a long time customer and have always had a wonderful experience. My son Remington has always loved the military and enjoys collecting authentic items. He is 12 and asked SANTA for a helmet. Replicas are a great gift for a 12 year old but he's not any 12 year old. He loves his country and has his heart set on serving our country. Kevin overheard me discussing my wish for my son with Mike and came out of a side room with an authentic helmet for me to purchase. What they did for my son today I will forever be grateful for. This is a great Army Navy store and the people that work there are very helpful. They mostly have new stock. The store is a good size but it's not huge, it's well-organized and they have a huge number of items in stock.

Well I'm not too sure what all those bad reviewers were talking about I was up there today for the first time I got there 10 minutes before opening time and they went ahead and let people in early and the lady help me as soon as I walk through the door answered every question I had I was picking up items for my son and they told me if it didn't fit to bring it back as long as it had the tag still along with the receipt exchanging it or returning it would be no problem it looked like a pretty good size selection of stuff to me and the prices weren't bad at all I gotta web belt, camo face paint, woodland camo boonie hat, woodland camo BDU jacket and 1 woodland camo field pants for $94.11 after taxes
