Lots of hidden gems here. If you have a favorite rod you need and it's discontinued, there's a chance R&R might have it. I live across town but I love stopping in when I can't find stuff. Very large selection of Shimano, Okuma and Daiwa rods and reels you'll never find at major retailers.

Wonderful costumer service. The cashier lady and Anthony were great! I am happy to support local businesses. Yes it’s a bit on the pricier side (not by much) than most retail chain stores but you know what I much rather support local businesses than give my money to big corporations. You can find everything you need here to fish all year round.

Very friendly and helpful older gentleman behind the counter. Told us a couple good fishing spots and showed us how to catch them. Just stopped in to get some spawn sacks for salmon but from briefly looking around they had a wide selection of anything you could need. Will stop by next time I’m in the area.

Phenomenal selection for Big Lake fishing. Roger has never steered me wrong. I’ve bought many rods, reels and other tackle to set my boat up for the big lake. It’s not cheap, but I’m still using stuff he sold me 20 years ago and I fish the lake a lot!

Didn't expect to come into a nice and well organized shop. First time there and I have been living in Milwaukee my whole life. They have a variety of different items. Did not disappoint me at all. Being a bass fishermen this place has potential! I would love to see more high end items of JDM (megabass, jackals, teckels and so on) being sold here since JDM bass fishing items are limited around the area. In the next few months, hoping to see some icast winnder lures here such as the berkly gillie.This place is nicely thought out and again, high potential local store!

Nice store, when I can get to it. The hours are not good, they open after I get to work and close before I'm done so I end up spending my money elsewhere. I would go more often if they ran on fishermen hours.

The best bait shop in down south Milwaukee. It has a lot of different kinds of baits to choose from. The best thing are the old school baits that I found which is awesome. The store owner is very knowledgeable but seems rude at times when you need help or asking a question. Overall it's a good place to stop by even if you just wanna check it out. Great shop - massive inventory of rods, reels, tackle and everything else one could need for fishing. The prices are right in line with what I saw online at elsewhere for the rod and reel I was looking for. They were very helpful to a totally clueless newbie like myself. They even have a machine that loaded line onto the reel that I bought as well! This also seems to be the place a lot of serious fishermen go, based on the impressive rigs I saw in the parking lot.

This place has everything and more importantly the owner and employees are very nice and extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of fishing. They offer tips and specific lures and tackle for every type and species of fish you want. Love this place

This is the best place for fishing gear, fishing advice, and fishing stories. Everything is clearly labeled for the type of fishing you're doing or the type of fish you want to catch. Prices are more than fair and if you're lucky, the owner will share some wisdom with you. Word to the wise, do not ask for a telescopic pole! They spun the new line on my reel and gave me few tips for adjusting it. If you don't know, now you know. Any amateur, serious, or pro fisherman will fit in here.

After visiting a few other local shops and being sold undersufficient gear for lake Michigan McKinley pier fishing . I went to this shop on the advice of other locals. The fellow there showed me what the shop uses and when I told him my experience and abilities he showed me top of line ,median and basic. He set me up with a great rod and reel put the proper line on it and explained the lures they use allong the lake . I happened into a few store after that. And was pleasantly surprised to see the Sam Shakespeare rod was 15$ more at Walmart and they didn't carry the same level of reel I purchased there. Also the net I bought at a north side fish shop was well under qualified for the large fish I was going for .R&R lady recommended a telescoping frabill net .which was fairly priced and although I have yet to catch my own big fish I had the net on hand to help land a fellow fisherman a large king one night.he was great full I had the net. Remember if you avoid the local shop because one item is a dollar more.You will never get the personal service and info from the box store or franchise.

Overpriced owner can be a douche and is always trying to get you to buy worthless items you can use cause he says that's what people are catching them on you get to spot n it's the same old time honored things that are catching them. But it's one of the only bait stores left in Milwaukee n I believe it will be one of the last.

I don't know how many people feel this way but ever since I was a kid coming in his store he made me feel uncomfortable because I suspect he thought I was trying to steal some of his tackle but I never did and I never would. When all my tackle was stolen out of my garage when I was 15 , I bought thousands of dollars worth of his stuff to replenish my tackle. It's a damn shame gander mountain closed. 😢 I would rather spend the extra money on gas to get to cabelas than buy from someone who thinks I'm stealing his stuff.

This place has it all tons of every kind of bait imaginable lots of pole and reels and tons of lines. Only drawback is all reels are in a case or behind a counter and you have to ask to try out each one. They don't have oxide inserts for line guides and don't do any rod repair
