I was told the staff at Robert's were great in helping customers to pick out shoes for walking & running. They were right!! I happened to be in the area & made a spur of moment stop to see if they could help me find better walking shoes & they did! They have you walk in the store to see how your foot lands & how your arch is, they get a correct size, ask questions to find out where the shoes will be used & what problems you've had. I got a great pair of shoes that just happened to be on sale. Thanks to Phil @ Robert's shoes!! 😎

Visiting from out of town it was nice to find a local store dedicated to running, walking and posture. Just what I needed to enjoy some light trail running while here. The staff greeted me as I walked in and my dedicated helper, Alex, was very helpful, informative and genuine, Id recommend this store to anyone looking to get a good hometown face-to-face experience when searching for the right shoe without wasting any time.

Both locations for Roberts are great! All the employees are knowledgeable and helpful, and really willing to work with you to find a product you’ll be happy with. My SA was so patient today, letting me try on multiple different shoes and different sizes. They also price competitively with larger retailers.

I've never heard of a better shop for runners anywhere. They can actually analyze your gait and recommend the best shoes for you. Besides running shoes they sell running clothes, including in-house produced T-shirts. They also sell hydration systems, nutrition for really long hauls, etc. The staff, besides being so knowledgeable and friendly, are also dedicated runners themselves. It's so awesome to have a hidden treasure like this in Charleston WV!

Purchased a pair of running shoes for my son. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The staff recommended a shoe after watching him walk and looking at how he stood. Then measured his feet and then brought out recommended shoes for him to try. Could not have asked for any better customer service than what we received, very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend to anyone with kids running cross country or track.

These folks work with you to get the shoes sized correctly and suited for your intended use. For some reason Google Maps & GPS will direct you to the wrong side of Pennsylvania Avenue but, at least, it was the correct block. The store has on-premises parking so that was convenient on their busy street. I think you'll like the attention you're likely to receive at Robert's.

Outstanding running store !! Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They don't rush from one customer to the next. I had to wait but when it was my turn I had their full attention. I felt that the prices were excellent as well. The only thing I didn't like was the small store size.

Hard to add to the positive comments already left here about this running shop. The staff is friendly, truly knowledgeable and helpful. I'm currently training for my first marathon later this fall and having some knee problems as my milage is increasing. They looked at what I'm currently running in, my gait, and my foot structure and made some good recommendations. Firstly they measured my feet and I found out that I was using too small a shoe which the young man who was helping me said is quite common. I tried on several different pairs of shoes through an organized process before settling on a pair which I believe will help me reach my goals. My next run is in a couple of days and I can't wait to see how they work out.

Ive only been in roberts a couple times mainly in high school during xc and track but stopped in today for a new pair of shoes and had a great experience. Very professional staff i was greeted the second i walked through the door had my perfect shoe size measured, tried several recommended shoes and walked out with a good deal within 10 mins of being there. Very good store highly recommend.

This was our first time shopping here, and we truly have been missing out! I needed a good pair of walking shoes, so we stopped in to see what they had. Dan greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. He talked with me about my needs, observed me standing/walking, and measured my feet. He was patient as I tried on different pairs and explained how each would benefits my needs. He was simply amazing! I walked out with the perfect pair!
