At the last minute my boss gifted me a glow facial Thursday evening. The moment I stepped into the spa I was met with soothing smells and a relaxing atmosphere. Lana helped me pick the cutest earrings from the boutique (my boss had called and told her to have me pick out something special). The glow facial literally left my skin glowing. Hayley has magical hands and is so knowledgeable about products-recommending specific ingredients for some of my problem areas. I can’t wait to come back and have another magical and amazing experience at Basalt!

I visited Basalt after my husband gifted me a massage and facial for my birthday, and I had to make sure I called out the incredible staff, and experience they gave! I have to start with the atmosphere at the spa, it was welcoming, smelled incredible, and just gave you a wave of relaxation as soon as you walked up the steps. The massage I had with Reilly was nothing short of perfect, she was so fun and had me laughing the whole time, while simultaneously giving an incredible massage. She also gave me some tips on how to fix my posture while studying, and create less tension, overall leaving me relaxed and confident! The facial I had with Erin was so relaxing, and left my face refreshed, hydrated, and actually glowing. After the facial, she took the time to recommend products that would leave similar effects, but with long-lasting results. Both of these gals were so kind, I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about them, and I can't wait to visit again soon!

We went here for our bachelorette event and it was the most spectacular idea my fiancée and I ever had. We booked Don’t Worry, Be Happy which was definitely appropriately named since we came in exhausted and left with such a positive outlook. My facial therapist asked me about my preferences, and made sure not to over exfoliate for our big day. And it felt so nice. Everyone was so kind and helpful, treating us to the most relaxing and rejuvenating experience, just before our wedding that evening. Thank you for the most wonderful bridal experience!

I received the Brighten facial with Hayley today, it was great. So much thought and care is put into this facility. I enjoyed the facial protocol and stones. The whole place smells of eucalyptus and I felt spoiled b/c of how many eucalyptus smelling hot towels she used on me.

Basalt is the best. I came in a few months ago needing some help, my skin Had changed with all the life stress and was just not my best. I had chatted with Erin on the first visit discussing my plan to do this facial monthly, hoping to book time with her where we would assess what needs help with each visit. Erin is the absolute best. After these last few months my skin has totally calmed down. She tailors every visit to what I need and it's a wonderful experience. I've even fallen asleep while getting a facial here. Amazing. If you need a skin pick me up, book Erin!

I went to Basalt for a birthday massage and facial and they blew me out of the water with the quality, attention to detail, and tender care infused in every step of the experience. Let me tell you, Kelly has the hands and vibe of a goddess. She is strong, gentle, and nurturing all at the same time with her magically soft hands! I have been having some really stressful weeks and I know she could sense it—the massage I received from her was so intentional, I could feel her focus and love with every motion. Jessica also gave me the most rejuvenating facial afterward that involved wonderfully relaxing face, scalp, arm, and leg massages. The products she used are the absolute tops, and she really knew how to take care of my skin and leave me glowing, all the while providing helpful feedback in my skincare routine and a free sample of product when I left! I can’t wait to come back again to experience the joys and heated massage tables of Basalt. If you’re on the fence, just do it. You won’t regret treating yourself!

Just had my first massage from Kelli and it was amazing! I have been traveling for the past couple of weeks and was in need of a good massage to release a ton of tightening. My Fiancée booked me for a Rejuvenating Facial because he wanted me to feel pampered and knows I hate massages—although there was some feet and shoulder rubbing I actually enjoyed myself a lot. Erin was great and respectful of me and was good at answering my questions and making me feel comfortable when it was quite apparent that I had no idea what to expect since its my first time getting any spa treatment done and all the products were vegan. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and way my skin felt/glowed and look forward to going to visit Erin/the Basalt team again soon.

Really beautiful inside. Love the ambiance, and they have a cute little store inside with skin care items, and energy healing items & vibes. Very modern look and feel. The only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because if you purchase a spa package rather than an individual service, you have to book out your appointment further out as opposed to purchasing a stand alone service, because they have wait until all the people to perform each service in your package are their on the same day. I had to book out my session over a month out.

Basalt was such an amazing experience! I don't think I've ever felt so relaxed coming out of a massage. The spa was clean, professional, and the staff very nice. I wasn't pressured to schedule another appointment (though I'll be going back), buy products, or anything else. I worked with Eden and she was incredible! I loved her personality! She was perky, kind, bubbly, and otherwise very charming. Definitely recommend going with her! Loved my experience here!

I received a gift card to Basalt for my birthday and booked the Rejuvenate facial. It was LIFE CHANGING. Dramatic, I know, but I've never had an experience like it - both massage and facial. Hayley was so kind, informative, and impressively perceptive during the treatment - she answered all my questions but didn't chatter endlessly. I think I even fell asleep at the end. For other sensitive skin folks, I did not react to any of their products but they were moderately fragranced (essential oil). Best of all in my mind was Basalt's customer service - a holiday chocolate upon exit, a free lotion sample, and a thank-you card in the mail. I'll be going back to Hayley for sure! This spa is not only beautifully designed and incredibly relaxing, but the staff is wonderful. Kelly was my massage therapist and she was absolutely wonderful. I was gifted a detox treatment from a friend and it was such a great experience. Kelly was warm and kind and made me feel cared for. I can’t say enough good things about my facial experience with Erin at Basalt! She has transformed my skin! She’s incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely cares and listens to your skin issues and wants to treat them with a facial specialized just for you all while keeping an incredibly relaxing environment. She is just the nicest person and truly is amazing at what she does. I’ve had some adult acne issues and since coming to Erin and using the products she’s recommended to me, I’ve seen a major difference in my skin’s texture, brightness and acne is gone. I have left 2 separate messages with my name and number about wanting to book multiple treatments for my wife and I and never received a call back. I was forced to book else where, where they answer the phones or the very least respond to a message.

I rarely write reviews but today is an exception. I went in for my first facial in years and it was the best I’ve ever had. Jessica took all the best parts of those facials and combined them into one. I got the Purify facial with the revive add-on. She explained things as she went and even changed course on what she was doing as she inspected my skin. It was all tailored and wonderful. I left with the clearest face I’ve had ever really. I can’t recommend Basalt enough. I drove all the way up from Provo and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back again!

First time to Basalt, I loved the boutique feel and environment as soon as you walked up the stairs it was such a calming space. I had a brightening facial with Erin, she is wonderful! From the minute I walked into the spa, I knew I was going to have a wonderful experience! The decor was beautiful and the soothing fragrance told me I was in for a treat! I had the glow massage with Kelsey and it was hands down the best massage I have ever received in my life. I am a former triathlete and runner. I have had countless massages over the years and none have measured up to my treatment from Kelsey! She smoothed out all the knots in my muscles and made my body feel like a million bucks! Today I had my first every facial purify treatment and didn't know what to expect. When you walk in Basalt itself definitely has the "high-end" feel to it in terms of atmosphere and great staff. But what prompted this review was the amazing purify facial treatment with Master Esthetician Erin M. I highly recommend you try and book her. Since this was my first treatment and I have some skin issues I really lucked out to have her because not only is she kind but she is incredibly knowledgeable and well-studied in all aspects of skin care. I was curious to learn some of the root issues of my skin problems, and simply learned things about my skin that I just didn't know before and that I had some habits that were bad for my skin. The service itself was fantastic and was everything you'd expect from a high-end spa, and the service is just so so good (it's way places like this are differentiated in the marketplace). My skin felt and looked so much better after one purify facial. But Erin went above and beyond and laid out a detailed 'skin fitness plan' with recommendations and products and instructions on how to take control and achieve and maintain healthy skin. I regret not finding out about this place / Erin M sooner, I think it could have prevented skin issues/damage but I am so happy that I had this treatment with her and she used her skills and knowledge to create a tailor-made plan for me. THANK YOU ERIN M!!!!

My wife and I had different massages done and both left in a transient state of relaxed. We went to dinner and spent the whole time talking about how amazing the experience was. I have had plenty of massages that left me less tense and not feeling like I had wasted time or money. Basalt provided an experience that I cannot wait to treat my wife and I to again. We left in such a rejuvenated state emotionally I’m not sure it is something that could have a price tag associated with it. To merely recommend Basalt and our therapists Amie and Steven would be the insult of the century. You absolutely must check them out and I am positive you will not regret it!

I am from out of town & while visiting, my sister treated me to a facial and massage at Basalt. Basalt is genuinely wellness & healing centered. The ambiance is so welcoming from the tea, the serene environment, and caring customer service. The massage I received from Jasmine was the best I've had in my life. She is kind, pleasant, and has an amazing intuitive touch. The facial Amber gave me was awesome and my skin felt refreshed. I will visit Basalt on my future visits to Salt Lake. I love this place!

I received a gift card for the Glow facial for an anniversary and ended up using it on my birthday. It was my first time at this spa and I was treated like royalty. The women running Basalt are so kind and genuine - I'll definitely be returning! As an esthetician myself, I love going in to a treatment that is very thorough and relaxing. The treatment I received was exactly that! The only thing that could have been better was warming up some of the products (with the steamer) so that they are warm once on the skin - some products were ice cold and that was a little surprising. Overall it was a really great experience. Thank you, Basalt!

Your experience starts when you open the door with the aromatic environment. My husband and I had the hot stone 75 min massage and it was the best ever! Our therapists Annie and Diane were fabulous. Truly wonderful experience. This spa is so well kept and modern. It feels so fresh, and welcoming. The receptionist was very inviting, and accommodating. I had a relax massage with therapist Kelsey. She gave me one of the best massages I have every had...honestly! She massaged muscles that I didn't even know existed. She was also very thorough and methodical; I felt like butter by the end. I also had a fantastic glow facial by therapist Kelly. She listened to my every concern and restored my faith in my aging skin. She has a wonderful touch, that relaxes the mind, body, and soul. Basalt Day Spa is no joke! I recently went in for my second facial with Alyssa and she did a fantastic job. I've had facials from different spas all over the world and the facials at Basalt are one of the best I've ever had. The facility is fabulous and they have so many fun products that are fantastic for gift giving or just to get for your beautiful self. Don't walk but run to this spa you will not regret it! Oh and also the pricing is amazing. A 60 minute facial at the Montage Deer Valley spa ranges from $235-$250 compared to the 75 minute facials ranging from $100-$125. I'm in love!!

I can’t recommend basalt enough! I’ve been going here for about 2 years now. When I started, I was about to go on accutane because of terrible adult acne. Through the facials and personalized skin regimens at basalt, I’ve finally been able to manage my acne without intense medications. Erin has been a saving grace - she is so knowledgeable and always has personalized recommendations for me. I go in for the purify facial, but she caters it towards what my skin is in need of. It’s been so nice having someone on my side who can help guide me through the barrage of acne treatments and help me find things that actually work. Now I feel like I can’t go without that! In addition to the skin care, their facials are the most relaxing thing you could do. Everyone deserves one of these. They use steam, hot towels, aromatherapy, foot and shoulder massages, hot stones, and relaxing music with their facials. It has become my happy place 😌✨

My husband bought me the To The Moon And Back package for my birthday and I was a little intimidated, it's a higher caliber of pampering than I've had before. I purchased the "Don't Worry Be Happy" package for my birthday on 1/16. It started with a fabulous Relax massage by Jasmine and I'm telling you, my best massage yet! I love that they use hot stones with every treatment. I didn't want to get off the table for my next service it was so awesome. My next service was a Glow facial with Amber. Again, I was treated to hot stones and even massage on my face, neck, head, arms, feet, hands and legs. Seriously so lovely and my skin looked awesome afterward. Both services were great with energy movement which I love. They have such a great flow to both services. I can't wait to book again!

I have been having regularly scheduled facials with Erin and I probably don't look 20 years younger, but I sure do feel it! She has angels on the tips of her fingers that seem to know right where your face/shoulders/feet need the extra attention. If I could give 10 stars I would for Basalt but mostly for Erin!

I had been traveling all week and was in need of a recharge. My first visit to Basalt will definitely not be my last! You can tell they take pampering to a whole new level from the moment you walk in. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and amazing at what they do. I was actually accidentally drooling during my massage it was so good. I did their Holiday special and my cranberry peppermint facial was just as festive as it was rejuvenating. I also loved that they have a mini boutique filled with mostly local products. Definitely go here for your next day of pampering!

Amazing spa! It has a very high-end feel that is unique for Utah. It is spotlessly clean, tastefully appointed, and truly a relaxing and healing atmosphere. The boutique also carries an impressive selection of unique local products at reasonable prices. I was lucky to receive a Keep Calm & Carry On gift certificate, so I got to go in for an exfoliating treatment, massage, and facial. All of them were so well done. Steven and Annette were great, and made me feel comfortable and welcome. I was very happy with the products they used on me - smelled great, and made a big difference on my skin. I've had good spa treatments before, but what I loved most about Basalt is all the small touches they incorporated into my day. The massage table they use has a little shelf beneath the face rest, and they placed scented basalt stones on it, which added a lovely aromatherapy component to the treatments. I had a brief wait between my massage and facial, and was treated to chocolates and a warm lavender neck wrap. Heaven! (I loved the neck wrap so much that I bought myself one from the boutique- highly recommend.) My facial took place on a table that allowed me to recline, rather than lay all the way down, and it was so much more comfortable and enjoyable. And, to my surprise, I got a postcard today, thanking me for my visit! These ladies know how to run a spa - they are killing it. I will be back as soon as I possibly can. My one small critique is parking isn't easy. Pretty crowded area and if there is dedicated spa parking, it wasn't marked, and was full anyway. Not enough to even take half a star off though - definitely a 5 star experience.

Exceptional!! I’ve had lots of mediocre massages and then…. I had Heather as my therapist for a birthday treat to myself in December. It was incredible!! There were multiple warm towels and hot stones and more warm towels. The pricing is reasonable, the facility is beautiful, clean, quiet and tranquil. Also I noticed they allow plenty of time to turn over the room in between appointments so you’re not feeling rush to get dressed and get out of the room. That detail right there is very important to the entire experience. Don’t rush me out of my bliss state! I’ll be a regular for sure!
