Our experience with AJ and Tim from Skillful Home was amazing. In February, we were looking for a spa that'd offer a bunch of specifics and had settled on trying out Bullfrog. Hunting around, we came across Skillful Home as a dealer and made an appointment to check things out. It was great - they privately ran through a bunch of factors with us and clearly knew the ins and outs of each option. They recommended we come back for a "wet test" of an Bullfrog A8L that they have in a private room, and we did that the following week. They were very accommodating, allowing us to have the room to ourselves without any kind of salesy pitches at all - throughout, they were very good about letting us reach our own choices without pressure (which is the opposite of some other places we'd visited). We purchased a Bullfrog A8 with them in February. AJ and Tim communicated timelines clearly, kept in touch during the order process, and included several features that normally would've been upcharges to make sure we'd have a great experience with our new tub. Their delivery guys came right on time the morning of delivery and worked around a challenging hill and set of hedges to get the tub installed. Despite it raining during delivery, they did an excellent job taking their time positioning the system and giving us a full rundown of how to fill, do initial treatment, etc. I'd highly recommend Skillful Home for purchasing a spa. They have great products, a fantastic shopping experience, consistent communication, generous pricing, and ultimately an all-around solid experience for a big purchase.

Just received my new Bullfrog Spas R7L from Skillful Home Recreation this morning. I have been researching these tubs for a few years and was so excited when Skillful became the only authorized dealer in Maine. Dealing with AJ, Tim and Tiffany was an absolute pleasure. They are so very knowledgeable about these spas and were very helpful every step of the way. Delivery and set up was a breeze and I was up and running within an hour or so. Please do yourselves a favor and go in for a test soak. These hot tubs so much more customizable, configurable and energy efficient than anything else out there. Thank you to everyone at Skillful Home Recreation for making my hot tub experience awesome!!

Truly a wonderful buying experience. I came in looking for an upgrade to my pool cute, and I came out with exactly what I wanted. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I was able to test out many cues on their fantastic table until I found the one that fit me. They have a large price range, all the way from house cues to some really fantastic Predators. Their selection of tables, balls, accessories, and (oddly enough) how time was all fantastic. I'll definitely be shopping here again!

From the start Tim and AJ were very helpful and knowledgeable. I love the fact it was a no pressure sales experience. Very relaxed, low key. A real pleasure. The install crew Tony, Joe and Ian are the best. They bent over backwards to get our new J400 installed in a very challenging location. I hate to admit this, but I am not the easiest customer to please, but the guys at Skillful Home Recreation made me a raving fan. We spent our money with the right local company. They made us feel like we got a good deal and they backed it up with excellent install service and customer service. Jacuzzi is a well known quality brand that is sold and serviced by one of the best companies I have done business with period. Thanks to everyone at Skillful This is not a paid endorsement.

We recently purchased a Bullfrog Spa from Skillful Home, and it was the best decision we could make. After months of looking at hot tubs and visiting several stores, we felt deflated. There just didn't seem to be any affordable options, and we always felt badgered by the sales reps. When we walked into Skillful, however, we were welcomed by friendly faces and a wonderful sense of calm. We toured their hot tub options and after receiving ZERO pressure from the associates, we asked them to tell us a little bit about the Bullfrog line. Tiffany was amazing and brought us around to every model, explaining the benefits of each as well as the differences in price point. We were particularly impressed by Bullfrog's a la carte jet package (including the fact that the jets are interchangeable - so cool!). We went home that day feeling knowledgeable about Bullfrog and confident it was the top choice for us. We went back into the store a week later, at which time Skillful arranged for us to test a hot tub. They brought us to a private back room, had us try out different jet packs, gave us free wine, and left us to soak. What a great experience! We've tested hot tubs at other stores, where we had to do so in front of other customers, and the sales reps hovered over us the entire time (we never truly got to relax). Our experience at Skillful was so easygoing, and we never felt pressured. We went back a few days later and finalized the purchase. The hot tub arrived in four weeks, and Skillful delivered it themselves. It was such an easy process! After everything was set up, Skillful made sure to contact us asking how everything was going. Their communication is stellar. We have reached out to them a few times asking about chemicals, draining the tub, etc. They typically respond in less than a few hours. When one of the clips on our cover broke, we visited the store and Skillful gave us a new clip on the spot - for free. Their customer service really sealed the deal for us, and we know we're in good hands for the rest of our hot tubbing days. If you're looking to buy a top-of-the-line hot tub from a friendly and dependable business, Skillful is the place for you. We are so grateful to Tiffany, AJ and the rest of the Skillful team for providing exceptional service and being there every step of the way. Thank you!

When we bought our Jacuzzi tub through Skillful Home Recreation we really appreciated the very knowledgable staff and extensive showroom. We weren't sure what size tub and what features we wanted when we went into the showroom. While in the showroom, we were able to look at the many tubs on display and most importantly, try out a tub in a private room! It helped us to determine what seating arrangement and jets we really wanted in our own tub. The staff helped us through the decision process and was very supportive during the installation at our home. We had a Skillful employee with us during the installation and initial filling of the tub, helping us to start the chemicals and get the water balanced. Now my family uses the tub 5-6 nights a week. It is a wonderful place for us to catch up and talk to each other without technology getting in the way. Thank you Skillful for a wonderful experience purchasing the tub and for a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable place to be with my family.

GREAT SERVICE!!! Tony (at the store) was very helpful and accommodating when helping me schedule pick up, delivery and setup of a pool table I bought used from a friend. Joe and Nick drove to NH to pick up the table and drove back to Maine to set up. They kept in communication and arrived as planned. Joe and Nick were very courteous and took great pride in their work. They were very careful not to damage walls, floors or table during set up. They were efficient with their work and finished in time to surprise my 14 yr old boys for their birthday. Thanks for a great experience! I would definitely recommend Skillful vending for any of your home entertainment needs. I will be returning to the store to re-tip some cue sticks and to purchase other accessories for my new Billiard Room!

We bought a bull frog hot tub from the Skillful team. The whole crew was awesome. AJ the owner, Tim and the delivery guys were so helpful. I can't recomend these folks enough. I love my hot tub. It's exactly what I was looking for. I was able to try one out at their showroom. It was so helpful. With the bullfrog you can customize it so much it's good to check them out in person. Bottom line buy a bullfrog and get it from Skillful.

Skillful is the most fun store in town. AJ and the whole team were very patient and helpful clearly wanting us to get the right spa, right parts and a perfect and carefree installation. They went the extra mile when we had challenges with our electrician and when they came out to fix a small flaw in the cover lifter (which has been great since) We haven't been through the first winter yet, but Bullfrog was by far our first choice of the various models we tried from different stores. It has less plumbing, more power and way more flexibility than the competitions. Definitely wet test this model so you can try all the jet packs and get the ones you want. Try them on different seats too because they are easy to swap and feel different in seats that have different heights. They have the best in everything for your game room. I'll probably be going back for a foosball table soon.

Awesome experience. We purchased a used pool table and it was exactly as described... flawless condition. The installers were on-time, professional and personable. We purchased a pool table, poker table and chairs, and dart board from Skillful Home Recreation for our Lodge rental property nearly 10 years ago. The quality of the products was excellent as was Skillful's responsiveness to our order, delivery, and installation. The products have held up extremely well, despite being subjected to regular rentals of the property over those 10 years. Skillful's service after the fact has also been impeccable. We've recently had them resurface both the pool and poker tables which was done quickly and professionally. We will continue to use Skillful for all our recreational products needs and are thrilled to see that when they recently relocated to a new, larger, and more convenient store location, they've expanded their product offerings and are now also southern Maine's exclusive Jacuzzi(r) hot tub dealer.

Our non-profit organization bought a used pool table that might as well have been new. We got a great deal and great service. Skillful Home Recreation delivered the table and put it together for us. I would urge anyone who is looking for any kind of recreation tables/games to check this place out. We loved it.

I had purchased a new pool table from a different company in central Maine a few years ago and was very dissatisfied with the install. Had them back twice to fix the table and they simply did nothing. I reached out to Skillful home recreation to see if they could help. They completely disassembled my table and rebuilt it from the floor up. I have learned a lot about pool tables in the past few years and I can attest to the fact that these guys are top notch! Today was the first day since I bought my table a few years ago that I felt proud about my table. The difference in play and performance is unbelievable. If you want a quality job from a stand up team these are the people to call. I wish I would've called them sooner!

After extensive research on hot tub brands, I am SO GLAD I went with the Bullfrog. I LOVE MY TUB!!!! I use it every day. Why Bullfrog? 1. More energy efficient 2. I got to spend time in the demo tub and try out all 15+ jet configurations and pick out the ones I loved the most. YES, you can pick out whatever jet combinations suit your needs! 3. The jetpacks are hot swappable so I can move my favorite pack to the lounger and swap them around to the different seats based on height of the seat (I am short so its important for me to be able to sit in the seat and not drown or have to sit on bent legs). Plus if I get bored with a set of jets, I can just buy more and swap them around. 4. The Skillful Home Recreation team was super helpful and extremely patient with my million questions.

We purchased a spa after careful consultation with AJ in the showroom. He took all the time to answer all our ( stupid) questions. Even during the pandemic, the level of service and communication was excellent. Though the manufacturer experienced an expected slight delay due to COVID 19, AJ's team was ready to go for a professional and courteous installation/demonstration the day it showed up. 5 stars!

Last year we bought an outdoor ping pong table from Skillful, the delivery,service and quality was first rate. I am considering buying a hot tub (Jacuzzi ), so far the response and attention from AJ, owner/manager has confirmed that I will be purchasing it from Skillful.

These guys are the best! The owner himself goes above and beyond to make sure you're happy with your purchase. I'm a new hot tub owner and the breaker my hot tub is on started randomly tripping. I incorrectly assumed something was wrong with the hot tub and reached out to Skillful Home Recreation for help. AJ, the owner, personally came out the next day to resolve the issue. Turns out the expensive "professional" electrician I hired to do the electrical got sloppy and stripped the set screw that holds the neutral wire in place behind the panel on the breaker. If AJ hadn't found this I would've had to cough up probably $500 to get the electrician to come back out to fix his screw up. AJ didn't charge me a dime! We also bought a playset from him that my daughter absolutely loves. I highly recommend Skillful Home Recreation, best products and customer service available.
