Reviews of QC NY SPA
Dani H
The spa is nice, but there’s definitely room for improvement. First of all: the wait when you arrive. Since everybody has to arrive via ferry, there’s literally a boatload of people arriving at the same time, but there was only one person at the check-in to get everyone settled in, take payment, etc. This is something that can be fixed easily if you just add additional staff there every time a ferry arrives. A 30-min wait to begin our spa day was not a great start to the experience.
We also didn’t get a proper rundown about the facilities, and since signage is poor throughout the property, we didn’t even find all of the saunas (stumbled upon a couple by chance while we checked out the bistro!).
The pools and relaxation rooms are very nice, and completely empty in the morning when we arrived. I recommend arriving early (and on a weekday) if you’re looking for tranquility - when we came back outside in the afternoon to relax by the pool, all the loungers were full. I can only imagine how busy weekends get.
As for the bistro - I wish they’d have some smaller snacks on the menu.. I wasn’t hungry enough for any of the $24 meals but would’ve enjoyed a coffee & a croissant or a fruit salad.
Another thing that can be improved easily: more drinking water. After a couple of sauna runs we were in need of some water but couldn’t find any around that area (we eventually found drinking water in the bistro and in one of the relaxation rooms).
I’m listing all the things that can be improved in the hope of someone at QC reading this and make some adjustments, but I also want to say that overall the spa is definitely an enjoyable experience and I’d go back. It’s a great (and quick and easy!) escape from the city & I felt 100% recharged.

One of the best experiences in New York and definitely one of the best spa I’ve ever been to so far! It’s a dream spa with unbeatable views of the city! Price is decent, ferry was included and the amenities are above excellence!! It counts with different saunas, jacuzzis and hydrotherapy! After a few hours in there I was brand new! Can’t recommend it highly enough! There’s no doubt we will come back! : )

Really nice escape from the city - the time we spent here felt like we were on vacation.
Staff was friendly and attentive and the spa was clean and welcoming. We booked a 50 minute couple's massage and had a great experience.
The additional saunas, showers and steam rooms were great. We had an evening appointment and there were only a handful of other guests which meant we could use all the amenities without a wait.
Unfortunately the outdoor pool was closed but I'm hopeful it will be open soon as the view from that area is stunning.

Elite and sophisticated Spa with an outstanding view of Manhattan Skyline. Saunas and Steam rooms were amazing as were drinks and complimentary snacks. Drinks were a bit on the pricey side, but is expected due to inflation and quality of Spa. Overall, great Spa as time seems to melt in this place. The only downside is keeping watch to catch the last Ferry off Governor's Island. Definitely worth the go, but be prepared to spend money. loved it!!!😍

Husband and I had a great time. We could have stayed til 11pm if we wanted. The facilities are clean and the ferry is a breeze to get to. We went on a Sunday at 1230. Try to get there early because the line is usually long then they must process you. The locker rooms have Dyson hair dryers but they don't all work. They have nice showers and they give you a bag which can store your clean towels and robe etc. The pool was great. Heated nicely. The steam room and saunas were great too. All in all great views and experience. But you can drink by the pool. Which sucks

A relaxed oasis in the largest natural harbor in the world. The outdoor pools are the real draw, the inside facilities are nice but not expansive. Food is good but $25+ for a sandwich, it’s easy to spend a ton of money if you’re there for the day. Love that they give you a bag to carry your things around in, pro-tip is to bring a granola bar or two, and a water bottle so you can fill up at the water stations.

Beautiful, well done, clean, relaxing and spectacular views! I had my doubts before coming to QC Spa. But loved this place for a quiet, relaxing NYC get away. $90 for 3 hours was worth it. Pools are great as well and 4 nice saunas. I'll definitely be back!

The reviews were very confusing so I was reluctant to visit this spa. I am so glad I came to see what an amazing place this is for myself. From the moment I arrived, I fell in love. I legit felt like I travelled to another country. A cute getaway vibe was exactly what I needed. I commend this spa for the aromatherapy. It smelled so good!!! Infused water containers were conveniently placed through out the spa and small snacks. The only con was I needed to be there longer but I couldn’t. I came on a holiday so the closing hours were advertised as 6pm with a 7pm ferry but they start wrapping you up at 5:20pm to catch the 6pm ferry so please be aware of that.
Other than that the massage was amazing. I love the robe, towels, and slippers provided. You can get a larger size when requested. It literally gave hotel vibes especially with the relaxation rooms. I also encourage coming here on a non busy day. It was so empty that I felt like I had a private mansion to myself.
I have nothing but great things to say about this spa. Im sad I didn’t give this place a chance sooner but I will definitely be back to spend more money! It is pricey but its also a small vacation away from the city. I think its worth every dime!!!

There is room for improvement, given the very high price.
Overall a pleasant experience, but I have a hard time imagining this would be pleasant with larger crowds.
We visited on a very quiet wintery day and the place was practically empty.
The staff is very nice and helpful, and probably the highlight of the service.
The views are what you expect, spectacular.
The saunas are overall nice, but I can see them getting crowded fast as they are small.
The relaxation rooms are pretty but gimmicky, gluing a chess board to the ceiling doesn't make it an "upside-down" room.
The food is ridiculously expensive, and really nothing special, and since you are literally hostage in an island without any food options, you have no other choice than to pay 24 dollars for a deli wrap and chips. (No drink)
You'll definitely spend more than 4 hours there, specially if crowded, so go straight for the $110 entrance fee. (With tax)
Be sure to add $26 for food as you will have no other option.
If you are in a budget, forget about massages, they are ridiculously expensive, around $100 for 25 minutes.
Also it felt a bit unfair to pay full price given that we had no access to the pools.
Overall, così-così

I knew this spa would be beautiful, but what was such a nice surprise is that is also has a lot of personality! The various saunas and experiences — which, by the way, were many more than I expected — all had themes that made the day fun. I wouldn’t say it has the pure, restful silence vibe of other spas, but I liked that it was a bit interactive and social. The pool alone with its view of the city is tough to beat. I enjoyed a lovely massage as well as some delicious food and drinks and was content to spend several hours there. Will most certainly return!

I had a really lovely experience. Really not sure why this place is getting such hate.
Ambiance: Super relaxing atmosphere with some beautifully designed rooms and aromatics. My friend and I found ourselves alone or with one other group max during our visit. I'd be concerned about potential overcrowding when it's busy since you can stay as long as you want. We took about 4 hours exploring at a leisurely pace.
Rooms: There were a decent number of options! My favorite were the acqua level vichy showers and the infrared room. The pools weren't open when we were there, but I'd imagine that would be a popular spot as well. My one issue is that there were a lot of saunas. They did a good job decorating and theming them differently, but the ratio is probably still too high. I'd like to have seen some other options like a salt pool or jacuzzi or something.
Service: Staff was really really nice. However, I could tell they were stretched thin. We weren't given a tour or run down of the facilities at all, and we really could have benefited from it.
Food: I mean...you're going to a spa in NYC. I would expect the food to be extremely expensive. Maybe my bar is too low, but I was pleasantly surprised by the free veggies, snack, and coffee/tea for a $100 day pass.

Our visit was on a Monday. We took the 10am ferry and were tucked into our Frette robes by 10:30. The spa itself is aromatic - I think the scents are bespoke to QC, but the general essence was something like cedar. There is an aromatic room where you can try on scents like silk, wool, linen … very lovely. All of the hair products smell great too - I started with a rain shower (the showers also have wands) and then headed to the wet saunas for a Vichy bath, a foot bath, wet sauna and a walk through a “cloud” shower. I found the infrared mediation room (which was empty and very serene) and blissed out there. Then on to the Swedish saunas - each set at a different temperature. I think the highest temp was 163. A few of the dry saunas have windows looking over the harbor - kind of unique to be able to see outside during a sauna - I liked it! These spaces had little head rests and timers⏳so it was very comfortable and easy to know when it was time to move on. There is a “library” with plush rocking chairs and a fireplace - I nearly rocked myself to sleep. When it was time for lunch, the options were about what you might expect spa-meal wise: salads yogurts … we ordered the poached salmon salad and our attentive server brought us special Himalayan salt in addition to the tangy dressing. There was a nice selection of vegetables, breads and (Tate’s) cookies (gratis) … along with fruit waters, coffee and tea. Wine was $16 BTG, there was a nice selection, and it was a generous pour. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The whole day was really a complete delight. I’m already planning my next visit.

Basking in a warm pool while enjoying an Aperol Spritz while watching boats navigate NYC harbor only happens in one place.
This is that place.
If you need a day out of the city for a day of R&R QC is the spa for you.
Locker rooms are clean and organized. There are many Saunas but only one steam room. The spa offers a host of other services but my experience was focused on sitting outside and enjoying the sun, pools and water Jets. I may have had a glass of wine or two.

I came here for my birthday and I’m so happy I chose QC. On a weekday, the spa was so relaxing from approximately 10am when I arrived through about 1pm when it started to get busier. I’ll start with the pros, and then move to some areas of improvement:
Pros:
loved all of the different saunas and the description of each. Some of them had scrubs/face masks to apply during your time in there, and each room had their own completely different vibe.
The outdoor sound bath was such a relaxing experience, I could have floated in that pool listening to classical music for hours.
People working there were also incredibly nice and so helpful.
Also, since I went on my birthday they had a little surprise gift waiting for me at the front!
Highly recommend treating yourself to the $4 aperitivo tray at the bistro.
Also important to note, they provide flip flops, endless towns, and a good sized robe.
Areas of improvement:
At first I was so impressed to see dyson hair dryers all throughout the changing room, but half of them were busted/not working. I did let the front staff know but really surprising that this place hasn’t been opened for long and so many of them had issues. On the same topic of the bathroom, there was nowhere to hang my towel physically in the shower with me. If I wanted to hang my towel I would half to walk naked through the other showers to grab it. The curtain for the shower also didn’t fully close so anyone walking by could see in.
I was so excited to try the foot bath station, but every single one of them did not have the pumps working to dispense the product that was supposed to go into the bath.
While laying in the Vichy showers, any time someone else started or ended theirs, it would impact mine to change pressure/temp.
For food, there really aren’t many options that aren’t $24. As I mentioned above, I did get the aperitivo tray, but I also got a salad which just wasn’t necessary.
There really needs to be water offered in more places than just by the bistro and reception. With so many saunas, it really should be offered on each floor/experience.
As mentioned in other reviews, the check in experience can be stressful. With only one person at check in, you can be waiting for about a half hour unless you’re one of the first ones in from the ferry. I’m so thankful I hustled my way over there to beat the rush!
I definitely will be back, but only during a weekday. Really hoping they read their reviews and address some of the issues!

Went for the day on a Thursday for a bachelorette. It’s a gorgeous location and beautifully decorated, but it was BUSY and the place and space was crowded and it’s not designed for crowds like that. People were bumping into each other in the hallways and it was made worse because it got rainy so everyone was forced inside. Even when the rain subsided they wouldn’t let us back out to the pool and surrounding grounds, which was ridiculous as paying patrons, so eventually we didn’t listen and just went to the pool and did our thing and they were forced to go along. The spa and sauna rooms are very cute and boutique like, but get exhausted quick; especially while competing with other people. The pool and views are truly the draw. I’d go again, but not with a big group and only on a weekday, otherwise it’s not worth it as the point is to relax and I found the crowds negated that purpose. Got the 5hr deal but no massage bc I felt it was overpriced.

Such an amazing escape from the city - was the most blissful 3 hours of my life. And the SMELLS… major aromatherapy. Staff walking around was so helpful - special shout-out to Ronaldo for attending to us with such care! I definitely would recommend to go earlier on the weekend, around 12-1 it started to get a lot busier/more talkative, so if you’re looking for a zen experience opt for the morning. Highlights for me were the steam rooms - especially the mint one - and the underwater music pool.

We absolutely loved our experience here at the new QC NY Spa! From start you are greeted by a spectacular view of New York City followed multiple wet and dry saunas. This place is a must for a little R&R from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Jennifer
Definitely such a cute spot and little quick getaway to relax. The place has good amenities. I’d recommend going early on weekdays since the place is on the smaller side and can fill up quick. Food is on the pricier side. Only bad note is the amount of helicopters flying loudly throughout the island so bring headphones
Irish De Marco
View was phenomenal but can’t order anything after 5pm due to short staff :(
No complimentary food as well.
Didn’t have any indication on their website whatsoever smh.
we came to relax, eat some snacks and def drink while enjoying the sunset.
But that didn’t happen :(
So we were starving since we came at 6:30pm til close time smh.
Beware!!!!
the windows some of the bathrooms and showers are slightly open like the mens from outside can see or peek if they want to and you can’t even close it like why?
Didn’t see a single lotion in the women’s locker room but apparently there are in the mens with different scents.
Asked the manager and complained about why there isn’t and we couldn’t order drinks or food he said there is when there isn’t so he can just avoid the situation.
Update: it was 2stars before but now I updated to 4 stars since they gave a complimentary for next visit which was lovely!
However, it doesn’t change the fact that we were starving while we was in there.
Please indicate on the website so we know what to expect.
But complimentary full day spa is better I guess lol.
Lastly I loved all the scented shampoos and etc… they weren’t selling at the gift shop :(

I spent my birthday at QC this past Saturday and was absolutely blown away by the experience! I have been raving about it to everyone that will listen. The spa was clean, smelled amazing, had great amenities, and wasn’t too crowded to enjoy and relax. Seriously already plotting for when I can go back.

Overall a beautiful space and a great escape from the city. The grounds and the pools are beautiful. Service overall is a little slow. For the luxury experience. I waited twenty minutes and a long line to check-in. But worse was the LONG line for a terrible and expensive lunch and cocktail. There is only one slow server behind the counter to make cocktails and serve deli sandwiches for $24. They were also out of half of them. They mean well, but there has to be a better system than this. Please note, all of the pools are heated and warm. For the price, it would be nice to have one cold option on a hot summer day.
Juan Gutierrez
Man, this place is spectacular! $95 for 3 hours there. Plus $4 for the ferry to Governor's Island. But my mood was simply transformed by my visit.
You get there, they check you in, and you are given a locker. Take elevator up to 3rd floor. In your locker there is a bag that has a robe, a towel, flip flops and a plastic bag for your wet bathing suit afterwards.
Now you explore the house. Walk down one flight of stairs towards the Wellness Path - A variety of different rooms - a sauna, a music listening room, a relaxation room, even this quirky upside-down room which is a tribute to the founder.
To begin properly you're should go into the first sauna (no flip flops in saunas), after 5+ minutes of "opening your pores" you step out and take the face scrub situated right outside the sauna. Wipe off with the cold hand towel. Then walk over to the relaxation room. Inside there is a face mask cream. Rub that on your face and chill for another 5+ minutes. (I did not read the signs and did it out of order)
Then keep exploring! Outside is the amazing pool with massage jets and bubbles. One pool plays relaxing music underwater (lay back, float and relax) all with incredible views of lower Manhattan.
Plenty more rooms to discover inside the building. There's a bistro with food and drink. A steam room, foot baths, various themed sauna's, infrared heat rooms and more.
So good, so relaxing, great way to get away from the stress of the city without being too far away. Enjoy!
Paulina Hakimi
Could have been and should have been a real luxury experience, but the attention to detail was not there. Staff behavior does not meet the design and aesthetic. A shame as training the staff is a minimum expense compared to that of building such a beautiful spa. It's enjoyable considering it's proximity to home for New Yorkers, but definitely not up to par with global spas at the same price points.
Mikhail Anderson
The best spa in NYC away from the city. The views alone are enough to enjoy a full day at the spa alone or with friends/ partner. The heated pools are amazing. This time of year is perfect to be able to relax in the pool and not be cold!
QC Spa offers many different rooms to remove the stress from one’s body! My favorite rooms were the rain room and the relaxation room with plush beds. (I actually took a 20 min nap.
It was amazing lol. You should definitely book a stay here if you’re looking to free yourself from the concrete jungle. You will not be sorry.

I love my experience at QC NY SPA, I went there with my family had to take a ferry to get there which was completary after booking for my birthday and so was my entrance. The two other guest had to pay. We enjoyed a day of relaxation with a spectacular backdrop of Manhattan. As we registered we were gretted by this amazing aroma unique to the NySpa. I got complimentary creams it was my birthday gift. We headed to lockerooms and our experience began. All the rooms and delicately decorated there are attendant on each floor ready to help you or offer you water. Overall this is a hidden Oasis in the bustling or NY.
Alyssa Mackinnon
That was *PERFECT*
I wanted to really treat myself for my birthday and this was it! I honestly vlogged the experience ( because it was just so relaxing, so wonderful, so much of what you should look for in a relaxation experience. I spent hours just enjoying every room, every amenity, and all of the views. Truly spectacular to be able to watch the sun set across the new york horizon while you soak in luxurious jets of warm water. Wonderful would be an understatement.

Would I go again, hell yes!! This place is a magnificent oasis. From the wellness rooms, to the garden, to the pool, massage and staff. This spa has so much to offer. My girlfriend's reservation was mistakenly cancelled, and the staff were so accommodating with rebooking it for her so she didn't miss our girls night out. The view from the pool at night is breathtaking. I don't know how to float but there is a section of the pool where if you stick your ears in, you can hear music playing. For the first time, I was floating while listening to the tranquil music being played. I was mad I had to go home lol!! This is money well spent on your well-being!!!
Pim Kang
Great service and beautiful location. However, the spa design is less than impressive. Before QC NY is open, I was a long term fan of SoJo spa on the NJ side. SoJo has a much more seamless design for customer’s experience. For example, SoJo provides phone charging stations for free and anticipates customer’s needs such as small lockers in front of steam rooms and saunas. There’s no such things in QCNY. I had to run down stairs (confusing layout too, by the way) to keep my phone in the locker in the restroom.
Nini C
Overall it was a good mini escape from the city. However it was impossible to get a chair or daybed around the pool, we just used towels and laid on the lawn. Line for food and beverage was about 30 minutes then only to find out they ran out of food…please plan out appropriately for your guests. And no outside food is allowed, try to bring some snacks in atleast.
Lucy Silverman
Pros:
Beautiful views
Outdoor pools are fantastic
Locker rooms are new well equipped (dyson dryers!)
Lots of rooms to handout in
Cons:
Checkin process is very slow and disorganized
Food and beverage also slow and disorganized with strange pricing.
Everyone waits in a line inside. They really should have ppl take orders at the cabanas who wants to wait in a line at a spa. Pricing is really odd too. Charcuterie is $4 and a tuna sandwhich is $26
Tai Gei
Could use a more organized checking in system. My favorite was the heated pool. The place also have these very juicy complimentary apples. Lots of suana rooms, steam room, an aqa floor, Cafe, great city views and so much more.
I can see myself returning for sure.
Xara DuPree
Had such a nice time at this place. It’s pretty busy and a little pricy so just be prepared but overall such a fun experience. I only went for the 3hr period but would recommend booking the full day. 3 hours flew by and I wished I could stay longer.
James A
We had a very nice time, although I've not been to many spas so I have little to compare it to.
There were a few amenities we quite enjoyed:
- The saunas are nice, with a variety of different scents and temperatures.
- The foot bath was a lot of fun.
- The rain tables were even more awesome. I can't believe we were the only ones in there, and I'm surprised they're not the star of the show. You lay on a stone table and really hot water runs down over you like a shower. It's dark and peaceful in the room. Very cool!
- The pools out front were nifty, especially the one that plays classical music you can only hear if you're underwater. I could have spent an hour in that pool if I had the time.
The entry price is fine, I guess, but it's only for three hours. It stacks up fast if you decide to get a massage, or any other services. But if you know that going in, then I guess there's nothing to complain about on that front. Particularly, the dining option was extremely expensive. For drinks, think Manhattan prices +20%. For food, it's more like +50%, with smaller portions. We did not try the food because of the price, and because we spoke to other guests who did not review it well. We were only there for the three hour break visit so it was not a hindrance.
If you wanted to be there longer, I'd recommend the full day ticket. Then you can go in the morning, pop out for food at one of the other governor's island dining options, and come back. You'd probably net out to the same cost as the break visit + food.
If you're on the break visit, turn up early (like, 30 minutes early) because the line to check in was about thirty minutes long and they did not proactively offer any compensation. You don't want to spend a sixth of your allotted time standing in line just to get in the door.
My only other objection was that around the pools there are some biting flies that enjoy hanging out in the grassy areas near the trees and bushes at the Manhattan-ward side of the property. I think it would probably be best just to pave that spot because honestly it's not usable when you're being nibbled on. The fly bites HURT. We moved to chairs further back , which solved the fly problem, but then we were in full sun because there are not enough shaded cabanas. (Also, why not have more shaded cabanas? They can't be THAT expensive.)
All in all, I'd happily go again, but I can't give it my unreserved recommendation.
Davide Bonacina
Truly unique experience.Beautiful Inside or Outside. Dry saunas have windows overlooking the skyline, the gardens and the spantastic pools outside.Either for sauna, massage, a day at the pool, this fits every spot. The aperitivo with the bites is available all hours and definitely a must try.
Hany Rashid
Loved every minute of it. Great experience and a variety of things to explore. The outdoor pool is amazing. I truly enjoyed a lot of the other rooms too, even the relaxation rooms upstairs that weren't saunas (the music room especially). Very relaxing time and very romantic. 5 hours went by there very quickly. And it's a great price point. I didn't get any of the services though so I can't comment on those. Lastly the one thing I would add is a cold room or plunge pool. Everything there is warm to hot only.
Renata Coker
Great experience. Amazing views. Saunas. Steam rooms. Heated pools. Exclusive cosmetics products. I enjoyed my day at the QCNY. Will go again soon.

I can’t imagine a lovelier day spent at a spa with never ending views of NYC… You almost forget you are in NYC! The facility is gorgeous and spotless. It never feels crowded and the service is friendly. Its a gem, well worth a visit !!!!
Shaleena Campbell
This was a very nice experience, and I’ll be back. The facility was clean and not to crowded on a weekday.
the mini charcuterie board was a joke and comprised of things that were not cohesive or tasty. Lol I saw multiple people not eat theirs, including me 🤣. Drinks were also pretty expensive $18 each. I’d eat before arriving to the island honestly.
Alexis Fuller
Absolutely gorgeous! I've been to a bunch of day spas and this has been the best so far. I did the evening guest pass with my partner. My favorite part was the wellness path. Each room is so well curated and intentional, they're like a bunch of different mini experiences that take you somewhere new. The pools were great as well, heated perfectly for the cold weather with the steam giving you a little bit of added privacy. And my food was surprisingly delicious as well for how basic the dish was (chicken salad wrap). Definitely would recommend. I'm taking my mom next time.
Samira López
Honestly, the pools and view are worth spending all day here!!!! I got in free for my birthday 🎂 thank you for my gift!!! I WILL BE BACK!! Hopefully, the restuarant opens soon but they have a mini bistro that hits the spot. Staff was also amazing! …
Miriam Margarita Basilio
I had an excellent time. The staff was very courteous and professional. The spaces were beautiful and very relaxing. I could've done without some of the music in a couple of the rooms. Everything looked clean and towel bins, face masks (free) etc. were replenished. The views were spectacular and the pool was just the right temperature. We spent most of our time there. The little cafe was nice but I wish there had been more fresh offerings, it was a lot of chicken salad sandwiches etc. Be aware that masks are not required and in the afternoon it got extremely crowded so we left early, even though they had kindly given us a free half hour. It was very stressful to be in relatively small sauna rooms for example, that were packed with people. The area by the pool was also full, even though there were many comfortable loungers of various kinds. I know you can't really control this, but I felt like an extra in the filming of an TikTok or Instagram story a couple of times when women were posing for videos repeating the pose many times. Otherwise it was just gorgeous. I wonder how they will adapt when the cold weather though, for me the pool and the surroundings were the top motivations for going.

This is so far the Best spa i have visit in nyc
🗽 decor service cleanliness view pool 🏊♀️ amazing 10/10 my experience was Great I definitely will be back before this weather changes …
Alina Miroshnyk
Best spa for me so far. Everything is new and pretty. It wasn’t overcrowded. Variety of saunas and rest areas.
The views of Manhattan is lovely.
Lots of details that just made it for me: tasty water, aroma smells everywhere, face and body scrub, scented towels, music in every room.
The only disappointment was the food. I had chicken salad and for that price it was really meh. I recommend snack plate for $4.

Let me just start by saying for a new spa I had an amazing experience. Definitely some room for improvements , but for it to not be open a full year I give them credit for doing something different in NYC. Beautiful views, quiet spaces , warm pools! Now I know they are expanding so I can’t wait to see what more they are going to create in the future as I wish there was a bit more to do. As for the food pricing was definitely outrageous for such a limited menu $24 for a small wrap or salad Is mind blowing! Especially with no condiments whatsoever which was so odd. Bar menu was limited as well (should be a full bar) however SERVICE WAS PHENOMENAL but one employee in particular was very helpful, very informative, great energy and personality and can make a damn good margarita! Huge thank you to the bartender Hector who graciously took care of us! One thing is service and quality and he definitely provided so me and my wife will be back someone needs to give that kid a raise! All in all lovely getaway will be back soon for the spring/summer season!! Thank you QC NY for the memories

Amenities are good but considering this place is relatively new, there are a lot of damages to the elevator, walls, ceiling in the steam area moldy and it feels as I was in a janitorial room. The place is not kept as clean as a spa should, today 3 workers passed by a dirty paper cup in the middle of the pool section and no one picked it up. They ran out of trays, ran out of tea.. The list is long. The front desk ladies are lovely but all staff past that point should be trained a lot better.

This place is beautiful, and you can spend a nice day here, lounging by the pools, looking at the skyline and going from sauna to sauna.
But: if you’re familiar with sauna culture, you will not have the experience you expect for the price.
Americans believe for some reason that a sauna can help you lose weight or get rid of toxins. Both are false claims (liver and kidney are supposed to do the latter for you, no matter the temperature!).
What sauna can do is strengthen your immune system. But that is done by going from super hot to super cold.
Now, anyone familiar with this will be perplexed by this place: there is no cold shower in the entire building. In fact, there is no proper shower close to the sauna at all, just Vichy showers that are hot. No cold plunge pool or ice room like Sojo Spa has, but also not even a proper shower you could turn to cold yourself.
You would have to ride the elevator from the sauna in the basement to your changing room for that (3rd floor in my case!). Those are also just lukewarm if you turn to cold, but by the time you arrive there, the intended hot-cold effect that stimulates your immune system would not be there anymore anyway.
Pools are all heated too, which is disappointing as well. They are also very shallow, so no swimming here and no refreshing effect.
I ended up using my cocktail ice cubes for my body :) and that was super nice.
The things I mentioned would be easy to fix: a simple outdoor cold shower would do, cold plunge pool would be heavenly, and maybe iced towels or a huge bucket full of ice.
Until then, you will get the relaxation of a sauna with a view - good enough, but no health benefits whatsoever!

Fantastic getaway including a WONDERFUL massage (ask for Tania!). Hanging out in the warm pool admiring the view on a cold rainy day was heavenly. Lots of fun spaces to explore, very clean and comfortable.
Only complaint is that we wanted to tip after we left, had to run to catch our ferry, and there was no way to do so; their only suggestion was to come back to the island. 🙄.

What an absolute treasure! We visited during the weekday, and thanks to a birthday discount, the cost was a steal for two of us.
There are numerous rooms and saunas to enjoy, as well as a cafe and an outdoor pool.
As someone extremely sensitive to scent, this spa has a signature scent and some scented saunas, but nothing was overwhelming or overpowering.
The staff is friendly, and the building and grounds are fantastic. It doesn't feel like your minutes from Manhattan.
I will definitely visit QC NY the next time I visit NYC!

I went in the evening on v-day which was super busy but the line went fast, and receptionist was very nice. Every room was different which is cool, but I do wish the pools were hotter. The view is great! They give masks and scrubs to use in specific rooms which i loved. Im going back asap

Lovely facilities and view. We waited for 30 minutes to order food at the bistro (this was on a Monday when it wasn’t even crowded). One additional staff member working the counter would have exponentially improved the experience. Even better - for the price, you should hire waitstaff to service the pool area.

The location is great, but there were something that I think could be improved. For one, there are closets throughout that the staff need to access, but the entire time, the doors were slammed shut. It was very disrupting, even in the wellness rooms with the doors closed, you could still hear slamming and shouting between the staff. Maybe some sort of “quiet close” feature on the doors, and a better way for staff to communicate to each other that isn’t as loud. Obviously they have a job to do, but this contributed to a louder environment. There were also several places in the building that just looked very run down. Giant pieces of wallpaper were missing from hallways and elevators for example, and the paint peeling in the aqua level showers, no clean footpath from one treatment to the next down there and most people were not wearing the slippers provided so I wonder if then, it’s an easy way for bacteria to thrive down there. The food was ridiculously over priced, but whatever it’s a day spa overlooking Manhattan. ($25 for a plain muffin?) I wasn’t too hungry so I ordered what seemed like the best light snack option, a tray of “veggies, cheese, bread and meat”. Everything was old. The cheese was like little pebbles. The veggies were dry, and bread stale, everything seemed to have been sitting out for days, so I didn’t even bother finishing it. I would have also appreciated some sort of site map at check in. The place is a maze, and some rooms felt like wasted space. An upside down room? Why? Maybe added services to the massage area like facials in those rooms instead?
Things to be aware of, which of course the spa can’t control, but is good to have a heads up on, is that there are many many wasps outside by the pools so just watch where you step. Also the amount of helicopters that fly closely overhead (I believe because there is a landing pad in lower Manhattan) are so loud, it’s a good idea to bring earbuds to listen to music and tune them out.
Things I loved! My massage therapist was wonderful! She was very friendly and professional and even though it was shorter, it was a great way to start off the day. The views from every room are beautiful! The staff was friendly and they seem to keep the towels and scrubs well stocked. The saunas were really nice and I enjoyed the infrared light room. The pools were also very relaxing. There was plenty of space for everyone to have their own spot which was nice and no shortage of chairs or lounges, some sunny some shaded and in good condition. They are slightly heated which I appreciated. They’re open in the winter as well, so that would be nice to go soak in the warm water in the colder months.

The staff was delightful, hospitable, and professional. The venue is clean and well-managed. The reason for the 4-star rating is because today, September 1st, the guests had to wait in a very long line to order food & drinks at the inside Bistro, due to the absence of a few staff. I'm sure once the new outdoor Bistro along the pool deck is fully renovated, it will improve the restaurant service to make it an excellent establishment.

Came here to celebrate a birthday, pleasantly surprised by the variety of amenities available with the daily pass. Very well designed to make their guests feel as comfy and relaxed as possible (complimentary face masks and the QR code for the ferry were very nice). I will definitely be coming back here again!

I came here over the 4th of July weekend and it was such a nice experience! The staff was so helpful and lovely. I loved trying all the different sauna, steam, and relaxation rooms but the outdoor pools were the best part! It did get a bit crowded at the pools later in the day so if you're planning to spend a lot of time at the pool, probably best to get there early so you can get a lounge chair. I didn't purchase any food or drinks so I can't speak to that but overall a great place and I plan to be back soon!
Laura Deveau
First, the heated pool and massages were both great. However, service falls short of my expectations for a spa at this price range. I went with 5 friends as part of an overnight stay on Governors Island and we all agreed that service was lacking.
The staff checking us in were unpleasant, unhelpful and condescending. Although I was told by both the spa and the nearby Collective Resort that we'd get a 10% discount due to their relationship, the staff refused to give us that discount. They claimed it was because we booked a "package" of the spa entry plus massage. However, they also admitted that it is not possible to purchase a massage without buying the spa entry. So basically we could only get 10% off if we bought something they do not even offer for sale?!?
The staff offered no information on the layout of the place or it's offerings. There is no staff in the locker room & no extra robes or towels...so we went to massages with wet robes after the pool, on a cool Fall day. When showering, towels can't be hung near the shower (which only has a curtain), but remain at the shower room entrance. Many self-treatment areas are shared surfaces and we saw no evidence of a cleaning staff around between uses.
On a positive note, if you enjoy sitting in a heated pool with an amazing view of the city, that part is incredible. FYI, the pool is not really for swimming laps, as it is too warm and crowded. And it's also not a hot tub. Sauna rooms were nice. We didn't use the steam rooms.
I realize my post contains small "first world problems" -- but if you are paying these prices, it's fair to expect better service. I don't plan to go back.
Noni Murphy
Went there with my friends for my birthday! There are a o many options to explore. I need to go again to thoroughly enjoy each room! I went in the winter the pools were heated to 90 degrees. As assumed prices for food and drink are steep, I recommend the veggie wrap!
Amanda Lacson
Delightful, languid day of lingering in the pools and saunas and restful rooms. There’s so much attention to detail, from the wall colors to the glasses holders outside of the saunas. Loved every minute and would love to keep the place to myself, but at the same time highly recommend!
Tere Alquicira
I had a great time, the spa is really amazing, the lockers rooms are small and you have to wait when you arrive but that was not a big issue for me. The music pool is beautiful and the view is mesmerizing. I plan to go back I felt like I was on vacation for days but it was only a few hours, I was extremely relaxed.
Violet Voltage
I rarely review things but this place is SO AMAZING!!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY. It's like a water park for adults with saunas, skin care, and alcohol (if you're into that). When you think you've found everything, you haven't, there's more!
Theres drinking water with different flavors all around the spa (I loved the mint the best), the desk was well staffed on a Saturday, in summer, and we never had to wait to use anything.
There is a second infinity pool!!

I went with my daughters for our birthdays as I share a birthday with one of them. First off let me say I loved the fact they had a promotion if your birthday was within the week of your reservation you were free as long as you came with a paying customer. So since it was three of us we only paid for two ppl. However that was just the icing on the cake lol I have to say this with sincerity it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The place was amazing so peaceful and serene. The view was spectacular I honestly think it’s what makes the experience so beautiful. My favorite amenity was the foot bath you place your feet in a cold puddle then they provide a lotion of some sort to place in your feet to then place in a hot bubbly water it was for me out of this world as I am on my feet for most of the day. They also have steam baths, jet showers vinchy showers and much more. The pool water was warm and just the right temperature with the amazing view that made us just feel so relaxed. However the only the I will say is the food is a bit over priced and very little Choices and only cold food. The drinks were as well pricey and not that great. The staff was so friendly and helpful and very accommodating. I will also say that it was not easy getting in touch with a live person when I tried to call to push my reservation time slot, in there defense though the representative when I finally did get on the phone say that they have only been open for a few months and are working on expanding there staff. But overall I definitely give them a ten out ten and highly recommend it to anyone if for a birthday or anniversary or just to get away from the stress of city life. I definitely will be going back and recommending to close friends and family THANKS QC NY for making my birthday exactly what I wanted peaceful and stress free.

Excellent atmosphere
Great view day and night ( especially)
House keeping could have been better, it's a relatively small spa so trash cans and hampers should never over flow. Bathrooms should always be clean and have toilet tisses and supplies.
The toilet wasn't flushing in one of the two toilets
The dressing rooms were tiny so essentially you were on top of eachother changing
Will come again it was overall nice
Their essential oils were awesome

Intimate spa that offers everything from sauna, pools, infrared, relaxation rooms and foot bath. A great way to enjoy some self care with a view of Manhattan. Summer or Winter you can't go wrong at this place. Worth the money indeed.
Liz Feeser
My advice is to really take your time experiencing the variety of incredible saunas and do not miss the wet rooms downstairs! The pools outside were lovely as well but the indoors spa amenities were the best part of the day.

I went with two friends about two months ago and I can't stop talking about this place. We had soooo much fun, it was incredibly clean and staff was SOOO friendly - specifically **Rachel** made my Birthday one I will never forget. Noticing my birthday on my ID her genuine and kind response made my birthday really special. She really went above and beyond to make our day special.
Overall this experience was AMAZING can't recommend it enough, sure it was a little crowded- but it was peak of summer.. in NYC.. what can you expect. We found our place and had an incredibly relaxing time. THANK YOU AGAIN RACHEL!!

It was a decent experience. I took my best friend here for his bday since he enjoys lavish experiences but I was a bit disappointed by most of it. The saunas are a bit weak, temperature wise, if you want to sweat, you’d have to stay for a decent amount of time to even break a sweat. The only room that I felt I can actually experience some sort of heat was the steam room with eucalyptus, which makes your eyes burns, I get the concept but it’s not it. My friends remarked that it was like a fancy prison except most of the patrons are quite wealthy and speak of their many apartments around the world. Most saunas I expect to be quiet and peaceful, but there was a lot of noise and chatting in the rooms. You can escape and find another warm room to sit in but I wouldn’t call it a sauna. I did find out later that the reason why the rooms aren’t so hot is because they serve alcohol and that could be an issue.
The meals are…sad. For $15-$25 I’m getting a pre-made wrap with some veggie chips. Nothing seems fresh. I wouldn’t waste money on a meal here, and prefer to visit the many restaurants on the island. The free hibiscus tea was a nice touch.
I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you wanted a real sauna experience. It’s more of an Instagram shot, in a heated pool with the city view and an aperol spritz in hand, which was delicious, so I get the hype.
Overall, I’d only come back if I wasn’t paying for it.
Maria Tsororos
I really like a lot of things about this place. Everything is carefully curated. The rooms are fun to explore and the pool is divine.
You do not need to bring anything, besides your sun block and a bikini - they even take care of the locks. I did not see sunscreen (either for sale on site, on another part of the island, or part of the freebies) so make sure you do not forget that!
Getting there was a 5 minute ferry ride but it's not a private boat for the spa. It's a public transit NYC ferry boat and it leaves on time. No signs about QCNY when you get there. Says Slip 7, but it is very confusing so get there early because there are multiple docks. Go to the yellow building. They honor the grace period so don't fret if you miss the assigned timeslot!
What could've made me give it 5 stars? For starters, the lack of customer service/communication prior to arrival. I could never get anyone on the phone, not even to leave a voicemail but they were quick to respond to the google Q&A page which was something. Social Media accounts also don't work. Email listed on website bounces back. Another the place itself is a bit confusing to navigate around. A pamphlet about where to start or what order to do things in would have been nice. I also did think $24 was a bit steep for pre-made sandwiches and frozen items. I would have also liked to see more variety on the menu, like guac & chips would have been nice but maybe I should let that one go since this is an Italian-owned spa, not a Mexican one! LOL. Someone did walk around with a traditional Italian hazelnut/almond cookie but that was also clearly frozen.
The robes would've also been nice to swap out midday as walking around in wet towels/robes gets uncomfortable. Another thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars was lack of availability for lounge chairs/massages. I went on a Wednesday and still had a hard time finding a spot with shade. Only a few chairs have shade and many people were hogging them, leaving towels to claim them but walking away for long periods of time which felt unfair for those of us there for a limited time. And the some of the jets are a bit painful. Left bruises on me. Couldn't turn them off because 1 button sets off multiple seating areas so can't really compromise there but the pool is heated which is nice!
Overall, a nice spa day and I will be back! They did say they will be ending the birthday promo though!

This place is very nice, but honestly, the customer service was very lack luster.
When we arrived, we checked in at the front desk, and the woman pointed us to the changing rooms. My husband and I went to our prospective changing rooms and came out and were confused about where to go from there. Most other spas that I've been to like this that have multiple rooms/saunas someone takes you on a quick tour to make sure you see everything. We got to this room with a guy standing there with a guest book and asked him where do we go? So he explained it makes the most sense to start at the aqua level with the pools and wet saunas and then move up to the second level to the dry saunas. I dont know why they didn't explain that at check-in. The building is older and has a very weird layout, so you could easily miss things. When leaving, they have a nice locker room with tons of dyson hair dryers, which is very nice, but they provide no sort of other products or combs. I was glad I had brought toiletries and hair products with me. For that price point, I was just very surprised to find no hair products. It seemed odd to offer a lot of very expensive hair dryers but privide no hair care items or even theow away combs. Also, the showers are laid out so poorly. They are not private at all and very small. They are curtain closers, which is fine, but the curtain when pulled taught, barely covers the stall. The person next to me kept yanking the curtain to pull it to there side to get more coverage which I had to yank back as to not be completely exposed. Again the pools, saunas and the view are very nice but definitely some things that need to be approved upon.

The spa is a relaxing oasis out in Governor’s island that differentiates itself from other spas like Bathhouse or Aire. The experience was definitely unique, and I would recommend it to others. The staff at the bistro were also very friendly and helpful. However, there is a lot of room for improvement, especially at the price point.
1) The locker rooms are not fully equipped, missing simple items you’d find in an equinox like cutips, shower caps, face wash, spray deodorant, razors… Remember to pack what you need if you come…
2) Towels are not easily available throughout the spa.
3) Water is only available in a couple places. Considering how dehydrating a lot of the saunas/steam room can be, it would be nice to have more easy access.
4) There is no map and little guidance from the reception on recommended path to experience the facilities.
5) Check in can take ~15 minutes. Maybe they can implement a system where folks can submit waivers online pre visit?
Sidenote - be aware in the winter that you may not get to access the pools due to bad weather.

Four stars and not five mainly due to price. My partner and I went the other day for my birthday and used the “Birthday deal” pricing. It’s the only way to make it an attainable option for most people, I won’t lie. Made it $140 for 2 people full day entry. Nice to get the complimentary ferry ride, which is always gorgeous! My partner indulged in the 25min massage for $100 and said it was amazing but probably only worth $75.
With mainly sauna rooms as the primary treatment options it can initially feel limiting and the steam rooms were overwhelming with fragrance (would’ve loved something slightly less potent!). Loved the pools and the views cannot be reached. We loved the Vichy showers, footbathes, cocoon sitting room, outdoor seating pods, infrared beds (mainly to lie down), pools, and mountains staube sauna room. The face sculpting and infrared bench were gimicky as were the water jets. As mentioned the massages could be priced more appropriately.
The food options are limited but the HIDDEN GEM! is the apertivo tray was $4 and was solid food for 2 people seeking a light munch while about. $16 for a glass of wine is a bit bold but also it is on par with much of the city.
The only way I’d return would be with the birthday deal again. It was amazing to check out and unwind for a day. To lock my phone away and forget the world. We had a wonderful experience and if you have a pretty enough penny treat yourself, please.
Julissa Lora
Facility is beautiful, great views of lower Manhattan. Pools are temperature controlled, there are many saunas and themed rooms. Save money for drinks, cofee and water are free. Get the general access, the experience is good for a quick getaway.

I want to start this review by saying that my overall experience was good but not great. I would go back and with a group. I enjoyed the wet rooms, and the saunas on the 2nd floor. The outdoor pool at sunset was a treat. 1) Staff and Service: 50% of the staff I encountered were rude or untrained. This is a luxury spa. Spas and hotels are where hospitality comes from. QC does not demonstrate even a fundamental level of hospitality as indicated by the front desk's behavior. Mike was who we corresponded with via email, and who "helped" us when we arrived. He had an abusive attitude to begin with. When we asked questions he would cut us off and talk over us not answering our questions. It seemed like he was enjoying the sense of authority he had. Really bad first impression. His supervisor was right next to him and she seemed to be fine with way he was speaking to us. Same thing happened again when we were checking out. There is no explanation of how the facilities function, a lack of signage and user experience design. The massage was expensive, overpriced, and average. I did the 50' minutes massage. I would give it a 6/10. It costs 195.00. There is no choice of massages available. I recommend not to waste your time and money on a massage at QC. They're really just average massages. You will get a better massage in your local chinatown spot.
Everyone at both the bistro and Flora cafe were very nice and welcoming. They made the extra effort to make sure we had a warm and inviting experience. This brings me to food and beverages. 2) Food and Beverages: The menu in both the flora cafe and the bistro are the same. Unlike many spas, they have plenty of alcoholic beverages, wine and prosecco, etc. That's nice to have the option to have a glass of wine or alcoholic beverage, however that really is all they have. There are no green juices, no smoothies, no fresh juices at all. Very limited healthy food/ beverage options. Definitely not the detox environment a lot of people look for in spas. 3) Facilities Overall facilities are a 7/10. Well worth the trip for the wet rooms, the dry saunas, the wonderful sunset from the outdoor heated-pools. My friend really enjoyed the pool with the underwater sound experience. It was lovely. The Spa needs to close the ceiling in the wet areas. It truly looks disgusting and subtracts from the overall holistic experience. It's a shame. Maybe even just some paint?
Some kind of enclosure with low recessed lighting would work well and improve the overall sense of value in the experience, maybe stainless steel or aluminum would soften and bounce the light well. The robes are decent and the sandals are cheap. Pockets on the robes would be useful. Also a better system for hanging robes outside of rooms. Someone took my robe (probably accidentally, maybe not) and I was left with a wet robe that someone else was wearing (ew). I *searched* for someone from their team and I was told I needed to go back to the front desk to get a fresh robe. The same woman as earlier (I think the supervisor) told me to go to the laundry room, and I would be provided with a new one for $5.00 which I thought was kind of stupid considering there's absolutely no way to tell one robe from another from the few identical hooks on the walls. I explained this to her and she replaced the robe for free. For comparison, at Equinox they give you unlimited, and direct access to these kinds of items, and in a directly accessible place to locker rooms and wet areas. Locker rooms are ok. Showers are okay (men's room), not great. No gender neutral facilities, forced to subscribe to the binaries, kind of out of touch for NYC in my opinion. What I would suggest there is alternative locker room designed to accommodate queer bodies and promote a sense of privacy and safety. Maybe more individualized changing rooms/ private showers could rectify that. There are cheap soaps and moisturizers in the locker room. No deodorants or hair products. I would go back.

The pictures look like the stock spa pictures you can find when you Google the word, "spa". Thing is, these are the real thing. This place is just simply that beautiful. It's the newest hidden gem in the city.
You:
1. Check in
2. Goto a quiet and fairly empty locker room
3. Change into your swim suit and a robe w/ sandels
4. Check out the Lower Level saunas and steam rooms
5. Hop into the outdoor pools with views of Jersey City and Lower Manhattan.
6. Get some lunch at either the bistro or cafe.
7. Unable to see everything in one day!
8. Ferry back home
9. Sleep

Having this little pocket of escape just across the river from downtown Manhattan is such a treat. There are a number of interesting spa like experiences throughout the complex that makes time fly by. It did get a little crowded in some rooms, and alcohol on the premises, does make for a somewhat rowdy spa experience....it was not relaxing, but it was fun. We had a drink in the lounge with a light aperitivo sampler and took most of our time to enjoy the heated pool.
Róisín Padayachee
Really enjoyed this experience while we were on our honeymoon.
Feel like there could be a nicer dining room however, the elevator was filthy and grubby and basic mopping/sweeping of the pool throughout the day would have been good.
Overall however the views are amazing, the pool and massage experience was great. Jackie was unreal.
Recommend but feel it needs to up it's game a little bit compared to Aire bathsm in Soho.
Thanks guys
David Baker
Catacombs with everyone given identical white bag for your belongings with no name on them. No personal item lockers that I observed. This meant you always worried if your bag would be taken by mistake. At the end of my stay I actually set my bag down while I used my hands and then forgot where I put it. The panic of those moments took away 100% of my relaxation!!! Staff was very helpful. Fernando located the bag!!!

This is a nice spa, but one with room for some improvement. The views are awesome and it’s easy to access via the ferry. The pools are incredibles and the towels and robes are decent (although the robe I was provided had some stains). The saunas and relaxation rooms are nice (esp the Vichy showers!), but the trouble is that it’s very unclear how to get around the spa and what amenities are available. In short, the wayfinding is terrible. I spent over 5 hours there and I’m unsure whether I saw all of the rooms and saunas or not. Also, the food leaves a lot to be desired (and there were very long lines to get any food or drink apart from water).
Where's WeeWoo
really beautiful spot to relax! came on labor day, which made it a bit more expensive than a usual monday, but was very nice to relax and unwind after a long trip/weekend. lots of saunas, hydro baths, vichy showers. there’s instructions for how long to stay and little scrubs as well. bistro is pricey, to be expected but quick. menu labeled gluten free. got the salmon salad. I would do all the saunas, baths, etc first and the aqua room parts last. you have the option to pay through a wristband they connect to your card or apple pay. i picked apple pay but it’s probably easier to just do the wristband, less to tote around.
Danilo Campisi
The place is very cool and I disagree with any bad review. Actually It’s the third best QC terme I visited (after pre saint Didier and Bormio but ahead Milan and Turin). 3 min from the ferry (make sure you get to the closer pier from Manhattan).
PJ Singh
Good place and nice people but I cut my foot in the pool as there are sharp tiles. Kind of ruined the day but the staff was nice to help stop the bleeding. Wish it had been fixed.

The best part about this spa was my Massage with JOHNNY, His hands were magic. An absolutely Adept masseuse, I was extremely tight and left feeling complete.

Had a great time for my birthday. The spa gave my friend and I gifts, the food was good (needed seasoning), but the snacks were enough for us. We loved the pool and the different temperature saunas and water rooms. But what makes us want to come back is the hammock swings in the relaxation wing.
Lisa C
This is a wonderful day trip without having to get into a car. The views are wonderful. Yes, it's expensive, but personally I think the experience is worth it. It is a luxurious splurge. Their website does not reflect just how many rooms they have...I lost count of the saunas! At this point it is still quiet so you will have most rooms to yourself, but as time goes by I would be concerned about crowds. I definitely recommend going as early as possible or at 3 or 4 when the first visitors are done.
Yvelisse Aquino
The best day spa I have visited thus far. Taking a ferry feels like you are truly getting away from the city. Governors Island is beautiful. The spa is a convenient short walk from the ferry. The view from the outdoor pools are IG worthy! It would have been nice/helpful to get a quick synopsis of the amenities available or a pamphlet of some sort. It would have been great if they planned better to have enough food for all guests, as they ran out. Even with the inconveniences, this place was amazing and definitely plan on visiting again.
Jill Krebsbach
Came here today for my birthday. I wanted to beat the rush so came on a weekday. Facilities were not crowded at noon on Monday, which was a plus. I saw maybe 10 people there using the spa during my visit. Outdoor pools are not ready yet which was a bummer but I could still go outside and enjoy the view!!
Spa, dressing rooms, decor was very chic with a NY vibe which I love. Staff was polite and friendly. Spa is a short walk from the ferry which is very convenient.
On the downside, the water temperature was very inconsistent in the Vichy shower tables and the foot spa area. It was either scalding hot or freezing cold. I let the staff know on my check out. Hope they get this sorted out
Carly Pisarri
This place is such a vibe! They should allow drinks by the pool and not allow people to hog the outdoor chairs when they are in the spa. Def gotta regulate that!

I went yesterday to celebrate my Friend’s birthday and although we had a nice time at the pool and enjoyed the view to the city, I believe there is room for improvement.
First, you need to wait for a few minutes in a long line for check in. Then, after we changed our clothes in a crowded changing room, we went to the Bistro to eat something before going to the pool. I was so disappointed with the lack of options and the overpriced sandwiches.
Later, when we ordered some wine, both glasses were dirty and one of them was broken (plastic). The complimentary charcuterie board consisting of old carrots, celery, a few olives, tiny pieces of bread and some meat that even the flies was afraid to come closer. For a place that you expect to spend all day, the type and quality of food they serve was below my expectations.

Overall good experience. Wonderful massage experience. Good restaurant choices and meals are well prepared. A bit crowded on the lower level where most of the saunas and water spas are located. Employees are great. Would go back again on a weekday for less crowded experience and when the outdoor pool is open.
Kiri Blakeley
I wandered in here spontaneously on a Sunday when it was fairly hot out. The pools (there are 5 of them) weren't too crowded yet though the day beds were all taken. It's not cheap, but a day pass ($112) gets you access to ALL the facilities including the 5 pools, the steam rooms, saunas, a foot bath room (which I didn't try), etc. There are 5 pools, long enough for laps, but they are not meant to be usual pools, so the water is warm. There are many jets and water massage loungers in the pools. Get there early if you want less crowds. The views of downtown Manhattan and the E. River are spectacular. The vibe is pretty laid back and the staff are nice though they seem a bit overworked. The drink/food line is long enough that I decided to forego it.
All in all a great place if you want a splurge & to feel like you aren't in the city for awhile.
I hack off a star because the pools were just so darn WARM it wasn't super refreshing.
Giorgia Cedro
Incredible atmosphere, amazing choice of lights, the regenerative mask was AMAZING, they have some wines from Italy that most places can’t offer in NYC and still for a very good price. It’s truly an amazing place and the price is really not high compared to other spas in the city that are just underground and even more expensive.
Talia Cole
The spa is beautiful with plenty to do. The entrance fee gives you access to the pool, and various wellness rooms. You can also pay extra for massage treatments.
Light bites and alcoholic beverages are available to purchase and enjoy around the pool. I had a very relaxing day here.
Renee Gershman
Great place...even better potential. Great day to stay in the city and "vacation". They need to work on the food and drink suitation, then would be 5 stars.
Clayton Benskin
One of the best experience’s I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to get away.
Jennifer Donnolo
Check in took 45 minutes. It was ineffectual & disorganized. Drinks & food are outrageously over priced but that is to be expected. You’re not able to get an extra towel even if yours is soaking wet or misplaced. You may want to bring your own. There is very little shade, not enough lounge chairs, it’s crowded & when the wind blows, the umbrellas dangerously go flying. Hopefully, this place will improve over time. And if you have a gift card, don’t leave it at home or misplace it in your inbox. They can’t retrieve in their electronic system.

So I’ve been at my fair share of spas in NY area, this is a definitely a unique place and in my opinion you get more bang for you buck compared to other spas. If you’re looking for the best massage maybe better off at the high end, but for overall feel and experience for a New York summer day, I give it a A+. I would NOT let these other reviews deter you from at least trying it once. Recommend coming earlier if you do go!
Gina Sattorova
Amazing place to relax but very limited options.
Food & drinks are way overpriced
Rachel Nuwer
QC is a unique, fun way to spend a day in NYC. It would get a five-star rating from me if not for some service problems that others have already written about. These include 1) huge line to get drinks - my husband waiting 45 mins for two aperol spritzes, 2) long line to check in that eats into your reservation time, 3) impossible to get anyone on the phone before/after your appt. The location, however, is fantastic and the facilities are very nice. They should just hire more people to work reception and the bar!
Ayanna Roberts
Very peaceful and clean. The menu could use some tweaking though. Limited options and very pricy. The pool was everything, guess it made up for all of the things that I didn't like much. Over all I'd rate it an 8.
J M
The web site has a lot of kinks and it's a little tough to figure out how to manage your booking. No one answers the telephone. We had a reservation for 6 this weekend and I was a bit nervous based on my inability to communicate with the company. However, once we arrived, everything went very well. It was a beautiful day in a beautiful setting.
Paula Coelho
People complaining about this place must be very very spoiled

Anti-Asian Hate in patrons - The staff members were very empathetic but didn't know how to handle when someone there insinuated I had Covid (hello, bigots!). This was also the first sauna room my mom and I went into too! (The team obviously still doesn't know how to handle bigotry judging by their canned response below..) A pregnant caucasian woman said she and her sister should step out because they didn't want to get Covid. We didn’t let this bother us although I did let the two bigoted sisters know that wasn’t kind and we had reported the incident to the staff. Anyhow, the fact that there are windows to look out of in almost every sauna room is such a treat and the snacks at the bistro are another treat as well. Fruit infused water everywhere. Not that crowded and the bespoke scent in the lobby is a nice touch. Got a bottle of diffuser in their signature NY scent home. There was a set of skincare gift at checkout for us. All good! By the way, the outdoor pool should be open next month, fingers crossed! One suggestion- please put a hot tub indoors or outdoors and a cold plunge please. I know many love to soak and plunge which is invigorating. Thank you QC for being here on Governor’s Island of all places!
Erin R
Amazing experience. Everyone was helpful and so peaceful and relaxing. Cleaning crew was intrusive and better signs/ instructions for the different health line treatments.
Diana Ferreira
This place is okay.
Check in time takes 30 mins-1 hour so take the ferry an hour earlier than when you’re supposed to be here.
A plate of food is $24 and drinks are $20 each - super expensive menus.
Not much amenities and I think it’s too expensive for lack of amenities, but it’s easy to get to.
Only has: 1) alcohol 2) heated outdoor pools 3) five saunas 4) bistro 5) relaxation rooms 6) massages for extra $$$.
Plus you have to pay $4 for the ferry & reserve a ticket.
You can go to Sojo Spa in Edgewater, NJ and get wayyyy more amenities & pay extra for a massage and food for the SAME price as a 5 hour day pass here plus food & 2 drinks.
Don’t think it’s worth it - go to Sojo Spa instead!

It was AMAZING!!! So much to do, super clean, super fun!!!
So they have like 4 floors, 3rd floor is where they do the massages, but I didn't do it so idk about that. 1st and 2nd floor had saunas, cool rooms to relax in with facial scrubs + moisturizer, and also herb infused water. The cocoon room was my fave! The basement floor also had saunas, steam baths, foot bath, hydro shower, and something called a vichy shower. That was super fun! The eucalyptus and fern steam bath smelled like what I imagine Heaven to smell like! They also have a place to eat inside if you get hungry. I didn't get food, but as we passed by, the food I noticed people purchased looked good. Also, I forgot to mention their locker rooms/rest rooms have Dyson blowdryers everywhere! Boujee and I love it lol. The locker rooms had bags to put your wet swimsuit in. Inside the locker they have a bag with a robe, sandals, and a towel. There is extra towels everywhere which I loved bc you don't need to look around to ask. They have two pools... I didn't even get to go to the main pool bc we were having SO much fun at the smaller pool with the hydro jet!!! The pool was warm and it had underwater benches and chairs! It was outlooking the beloved NYC skyline. The view was to die for! This was a bday surprise for me so I don't know the prices of it, but definitely recommend getting the all day pass! Only downside would be that you have to take a ferry there lol, but besides that... 10/10 recommend!!! I can't wait to go again! QC NYC ya'll know wussap!!!

Great option. Sometimes a little salty. Always grab chips and guacamole. Its busy atmosphere
Olivia Haney
We came last weekend and while it was a bit cold- we had a lovely time. The food (sandwich) was soggy but there was a nice complimentary buffet of vegetables, fruits and bread. We decided to come back this weekend and (probably due to the weather being nicer) it was much more crowded. We enjoyed the spa, outdoor pools and even booked a massage.
Word to the wise though- They ran out of food completely by 2pm. Luckily we remembered the soggy sandwiches and ate ahead of time. We did wait in line for 30 minutes to get one drink- I felt awful for the completely overworked single person taking orders/making drinks. They have done away with the “complimentary buffet” and replaced it with a “charcuterie board” (consisting of 3 carrots, 2 pieces of celery, a few olives, 6 tiny pieces of bread) that is free with your alcoholic beverage. We did still enjoy our experience- but it is difficult to enjoy the experience all day with such limited options you have to wait in a very slow moving line for! Make sure you don’t come hungry or maybe sneak some snacks in 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🙏🏻.
We will be back but hope to see some positive changes in the future!
Daria Pe
Love it! Can’t wait to come back!
Crystal Clear
Great experience. They say they close at 1030 but they start pushing you out at 1015. Last shuttle on weekend is at 11 but get their early before it fills up
pam rc
This place is amazing. Get to relax and destress. I just wish they would do something about the outside pooling the rain. It's supposed to be open in the winter how is that going to work.
rennae stubbs
This was THE BEST 4 hours for $100 in NYC
Meghana D Masudi
One of the best getaways in New York.
Andres Cardona
If you want a relaxing time great amenities and top notch customer service this is your place a little bit tricky to get you have to take the ferry to Governors Island but its worth the trip weekdays are a great time to go as you might have the place to yourself
Duvin Roman
It is a very luxurious location. I look forward to my next visit. The different themed rooms were fun. The free snacks were a pleasant surprise. The basement floor is the place to be (the different scented steam rooms)!
Christoph Lamp
Very nice Spa with a beautiful view on Manhatten Downtown. Service was extremely good and complementary snacks get you well through the day. While they have a lot of different saunas, cooling off showers missing. Overall a great experience!
Yuri Fernandes
Very nice experience. Lovely place and drinks
Alessandro Cardito
Big kudos to the staff- everybody was super friendly (something rare in NY) and caring.
The location is awesome and though it gets crowded the place is amazing, with beautiful outdoor pools, saunas and other spa facilities.
Truly recommended!
Ciprian Porutiu
I might have a bias for the original QC terme in Milan (Italy) but the place was unique and the best I. NyC area as far as Spa with outdoor / indoor facilities!
Camila Send
It's awesome! Perfect place to relax.
Michael Gorelik
Excellent day escape from the city for nice views and a large variety of spa niceties; only downside is the overpriced food and drinks
Caroline Tseng
Beautiful space, great pool, fun saunas and steam rooms in the basement (don’t miss it)! Overpriced food tho — hot tip, bring your own snacks :)
Sara Hill
Had such a wonderful experience here! Took the ferry over at 11am and ended up staying till 6pm! Everyone was so kind. From the food to the massages it was a five star experience.
Natalia Medina
I visited QCSPA with my friend yesterday. We booked amenity access between 10a.m. -2p.m. In the confirmation email it was mentioned to arrive 30 min before and we ended up waiting outside for about 40 min. It wasn't a huge inconvenience for us, but I think the email was a bit misleading. Also, we were told we didn't have to leave at 2pm on the dot. Regardless of that, we had a great time at the spa! Everything at that place is a piece of art. All staff were profesional and doing their best to ensure we had a good time. We will definitely come back when the outdoor pool is open.
Salley Coach
Simple & restful getaway from the busy city life. They have complementary snacks and nice variety saunas. Everyroom has differently scents and that give you relaxation. Good for dating ...
Mary Stephens
Meh...too crowded, not enough lounge chairs, I was not impressed. The staff was amazing, no value for what we paid for.
Jeannine Young
BEFORE ARRIVING TO THE SPA, I SPOKE TO AN EMPLOYEE ON THE PHONE SHE WAS INCREDIBLY POLITE. AND KIND, HELPFUL ANSWERING ALL OF QUESTIONS , HER NAME IS MIA. AND WHEN MY FRIENDS AND I ARRIVED SHE WAS A SWEETHEART TO US THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR A BUSINESS LIKE THIS TO HAVE PEOPLE THAT ARE EMPLOYEED TO GREET CUSTOMERS WITH A SMILE AND KINDNESS. THE FACILITY IS BEAUTIFUL, VERY CLEAN, WHICH IS ANOTHER GREAT KEY FACTOR, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ITALIAN INSPIRED SPA ON GOVERNERS ISLAND FOR A DAY TRIP WITH FAMILY ,FRIENDS ,OR A SOLO TRIP FOR RELAXATION, I WILL BE RETURN ING 🥰😊😎💟,THANK YOU AGAIN MIA , AND THE MANAGER AS WELL AMAZING STAFF
Ginger
Over priced and didn't have much to offer. I highly recommend Sojo Spa; time and money well spent, organized, and friendly staff.

What I loved is that the staff was very friendly and no one rushes you out.
barnebarn10
I would highly recommend this spa. Located idyllically on a quit and lovely island which gives you a break from the noisy and hectic city life. The spa is amazing, the facilities are brand new and everything is clean, modern and spacious. There a a lot of different saunas with unique fragrances and looks. There are also two great steam rooms and different sections to relax. The staff is very friendly ans welcoming. Water, tea and coffee are complementary as well as a small buffet.
Nelson Cienfuegos
First time there and it was magical. My girl went all out for my bday. I was spoiled and catered to.

Authentically a Governors Island experience . It felt like an extension of many of the other events and activities that I love. We arrived around 10:30 and stayed until after 4. When the pools are open I can see extending the visit another hour or 2. If it’s your first visit select the unlimited time otherwise you might miss some of the rooms. We started on the 3rd floor for massages before moving down to the floor with the bistro for lunch. Sandwiches and salads (gluten free options), coffee, tea, wine, raw veggies, breads, and cookies. After we circled around the sensory filled rooms - smells, sounds, beds and seating. We finished the day in the wet areas with multiple steam rooms, and saunas. Staff were all friendly and kind. Massage therapists were professional and skilled. I recommend booking a massage as part of your visit.
Roksolana Kuzma

Gorgeous inside and out . Definitely a place you want to treat yourself or get treated to!
Srida Saraogi
I really enjoyed the spa and views. They did a wonderful job of the rooms. My favorite was the underwater music tub. They found a way to relax yourself while utilizing all your senses. The one thing that was extremely frustrating was that they didn’t let me use my credit card that was working, and made me use a different card.
Allison Spitzer
Have visited the New York and chamonix locations and was blown away both times. Couldn’t recommend this more as a post race or general relaxation day :)
Sarah Jaworski
Genuinely had the best time by myself. I will say, prepare yourself for seeing a lot of couples!!!! So clean and customer service was amazing
Sofia Elena
This place is a dream ✨✨✨
Selina Gonzalez
The spa experience was great, with soooo many options/rooms and pools of what to do. Four stars given because it seems to me that a few plunge pools (cold) or cold showers were missing from the experience. Nonetheless a worthwhile time.
Mina Gendy
Great experience.. the scenery is amazing. A bit smaller overall than sojo but i think i has a nice feel overall
Amanda Colvin
This was an amazing experience! I would highly recommend making the trip to QC NY to anyone visiting the city, even for just a day. We went from 4-7pm and had an amazing time as a couple doing everything 100% together because the amenities are all co-ed, which we loved. From steam rooms & saunas, to foot baths & hydro jets, to outdoor pools & enclosed fireplaces…we had the best time here. Only negative note, is that their bistro had very little menu options, especially for a couple who are picky eaters & don’t drink alcohol. But can’t blame them for serving “spa food.” Don’t skip out on this experience if you’re around the area!!
Jade Rodriguez
I never wrote a review before but I couldn’t resist, I rate this spa 1000% it was just Beautiful, the staffs customer service was very professional & the bar tenders were awesome , also the aroma throughout the building was very relaxing, everywhere in the spa was spotless & clean, the drinks was amazing only thing I didn’t understand is why we couldn’t drink poolside 😩

I went for my birthday, as a treat to myself and a surprise for my partner as they had just come back from a trip overseas. The Spa was the perfect treat for the both of us! Getting there was an adventure itself as neither one of us had been to Governor's Island before. It was more popular than expected. I thought that it was going to be crowded as we walked behind a crowd of people who had also arrived there by ferry, but the spa has more than enough space and rooms and pools to accommodate everyone. Staff were helpful, the service was great, the rooms were clean, you get your own locker, robe, towel, and sandals. I only went for 3 hours but will definitely do more next time! Their lunch and snack menu isn't too filling, but it gets you through the day, meals are light, so pre-eat accordingly. It's a spa on an island so it may be a little more pricier than most places for drinks and food. But you totally get the bang for your buck! Views of the city from the outdoor heated pools are amazing especially sunset and the night views of the city are great! Definitely going back when it gets a little warmer!
JOEY RAMOS
Simply Amazing

I enjoyed this spa I will def check back. We didn’t get a couples massage but they were accommodating and did what they could
Anna Avrekh
The outdoor pools are amazing, the views cannot be beat, and everything looks sparkling clean, but I found the place gimmicky yet lacking. There are approximately a million different saunas and steam rooms, with different scents, vibes, and music piping through the speakers, but with their small size and the number of people coming and going, the temperature wasn't staying up. There are showers and more showers and a section dedicated to feet baths (why?), not to mention a bizarre "face training" nook, but the food was truly sad, both in terms of available options and the flavor.
In the end my friends and I had fun and I have no regrets, but I'm not sure it's worth the price tag.
Maria Podestà
QC terme is always a guarantee. The complex is new, elegant, with a studied design. Each sauna has its own particular design. The themed rooms are super special. Snacks (fruit, vegetables, crackers and focaccia!) And drinks (iced tea, hot tea, water) are included in the price. You can buy extra food and cocktails. The water in the pools is warm, I recommend going there when the temperatures are not very high. If you do the daily admission you can stay all day until closing, enjoying an aperitif at sunset with a breathtaking view. In the changing rooms there are extra towels for the shower, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, Dyson hair dryer.
Cindie Chen
Lovely experience spent in here! Nice escape from the city, enjoying sunset, food and sauna rooms! Definitely will come back! Great experience! Beautiful view of Manhattan, beautiful sunset🌇, delicious food, considerate service! Will definitely come back and enjoy the holiday feeling
