To anyone who’s been suffering with any type of chronic pain for years look no further. I’m grateful to have been recommended Proper balance to help me with the chronic pain in my upper back. For years (over 7 years!) I’ve dealt with intense pain in my shoulder, neck, and lower back due to years of competitive sports, weight training, and chronic stress. I’ve been to many specialist, seen a variety of chiropractors, but all failed in helping me. Proper balance is definitely a needle in the hay stack. Dr.Knox and her team are amazing humans. They are extremely knowledgeable and incredible at understanding what the body needs to heal. I was hesitant in the beginning, but after a few weeks I’m shocked in the relief I’ve experienced. If you stick to their plan, take their advise, and do the work, you will see amazing results.

I love Dr. Knox and Proper Balance! I have been a patient of Dr. Knox since around 2008. They have always been there for me. I suffered from migraines, and they fixed it! I have not had a single migraine after I started seeing Dr. Knox and got adjusted. My pregnancy was a nightmare. Dr. Knox made sure that I did not not have any head-, back- and neckaches. So much better than taking Tylenol! I frequently feel that I am 70 when I am on my way to see Dr. Knox and leave Proper Balance feeling that I am 20. I occasionally have headaches and/or can't focus. I also do something crazy (yoga? 😁) and pull some muscle in my neck or back. One adjustment (and occasionally, a massage), and it all goes away. Massages are the best, and they truly help. This place is awesome!

I have my life back thanks to proper balance . I am not exaggerating when I say the pain and exhaustion I was dealing with before treatment was nearly all consuming. All I could manage was going to work and going home, and I was miserable all day at work because of back spasms, in addition to all over soreness , frequent headaches, and more symptoms that were what I’d become accustomed to for quite some time. I was functioning at about 20-30%. When I went to visit Dr. Knox a few months ago, on the verge of tears because of my suffering , she was kind and understanding . She reviewed my anatomical issues with me based on my X-rays and and came up with a plan that included in-office adjustments a few times a week for a few months , and very manageable exercises to do at home. Today was the last visit of my treatment plan and I reported 100% recovery!!! Dr. Knox and her team REALLY know what they are doing. They are careful and tender with their patients . They customize treatment. They were so patient with me, at times being in a fog from exhaustion in the beginning of my treatment plan. Everyone who works at Proper Balance is kind, courteous, and professional. There is a calm vibe, and at visits everything just sort of flows in an optimal way. Even though my treatment plan is over and I have completely recovered , I will continue to do the exercises and maintenance visits Dr. Knox prescribed because I know I can and should entrust her with my health. I plan to make maintenance adjustments at Proper Balance part of a healthy future for me for the rest of my life. If you’re suffering - do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Knox and her team at Proper Balance. You’ll need to practice a little patience , and follow the treatment plan , because this isn’t a “quick fix”, it’s a holistic approach to real healing. If you do, you won’t regret it!!

I took my mom, who had severe lower back pain as well as neck pain going on for the past 3 years or so. Dr. Knox and her team helped my mom with relieving the pain and gave her a great treatment even though we were short on time (she visited me from India and had to travel back). Dr. Knox and her team are amazing. I walked in with back pain and the intention to correct my posture. Dr. Knox was incredibly thorough with the exam (X-rays, explanations, computer animations etc.). After that, she developed a treatment plan tailored towards my specific needs. It always feels like you are her only patient, and she truly cares about your wellbeing and your progress. Steve is great to work with, he explained how to use all the equipment based on your needs, supervises your workout, and pushes you when you need it. Sam is incredibly knowledgeable and it is always very interesting to hear his assessments and analysis after the treatments. It has not only been a pleasure and it will continue to be a pleasure to work with everyone there, but it has also drastically reduced my backpain and corrected my posture noticeably. Been coming here consistently for about a year for massage therapy sessions. Sam has genuinely made a significant impact to how I go about my daily life. I engage in heavy lifting and intense exercise 6-7 days a week, and before had numerous back and neck problems as well as occasional injuries. Sam has helped in addressing all of the issues that I previously had and have had throughout the past year, and really goes above and beyond just the massage service. He's provided fantastic information and solutions to the concerns I've expressed and really acts as a consultant in addition to just providing the massage. He conveys his actions clearly during the sessions and checks in afterwards to make sure everything got resolved, and provides a plan of action in the next session if it's a persistent problem. Definitely looking forward to continuing massage therapy sessions here!

Dr. Knox and the rest of the team truly helped me. I have had chronic migraines and reoccurring lower back pain for the past 8 years, so I have had experience with chiropractic care before coming to Dr. Knox. She truly got to the root of my ailments and used a combination of chiropractic adjustment, physical therapy, and some new therapies such as Shockwave and needlepoint injections (similar to acupuncture) to help with my pain and to help my body return to better functionality. I am genuinely amazed at how much I improved with their help. I used to waste half of my day whenever I had migraines (which grew in frequency with rain, stress, or PMS) because it hurt so bad that I'd lose eyesight, almost faint, and had extreme nausea. I dreaded rainy days thinking I could not do everything I wanted to achieve. However, now I haven't had a migraine for more than a month and I feel more in control of my life. Dr.Knox and the staff at Proper Balance is truly amazing. I came in with extremely low back pain on top of C3 incomplete spinal cord injury where it was hard for me to move. After two adjustments of the PulStar and a couple treatments of PRF I start gaining movement and my lower extremities. Amazing facility! I've been attending this location for several weeks. Everyone is super friendly and very knowledgeable!! I had elbow pain (tennis-golfers elbow) from golfing throughout the years (20). Thanks to the amazing SHOCKWAVE therapy, I'm able to play 36 holes again pain FREE!! It has definitely improved my distance and my overall game. I'm also a huge fan of PRP therapy! It helped me tremendously after my major knee surgery (Torn Quad tendon) in 2005. After years of struggling with pain and range of motion, I can finally squat down pain FREE and increase my range of motion tremendously! I HIGHLY recommend this place.

I came into Proper Balance for the first time for an RF micro needling facial with PRP (vampire facial) to treat some acne scars, uneven skin tone, aging, and under eye bags. I have to say after two weeks my skin is glowing and my eye bags are so much better. I highly recommend Anna the physician assistant, she was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I also did the PRP cream that you take home and it is amazing! I have been dealing with a left wrist pain since July after I felt when I had COVID. I had a TFCC tear of a tendon and a bruised bone in my wrist . I had a cast for 4 weeks and nothing took the pain away after 6 months. When I found this place and the PRP treatment with wave shocks, I was excited to see the results . A week after the first plasma injection and wave shock my pain improved dramatically. If I have to give a percentage of improvement I will say 60%-70% + after a week. I’m very happy and pleased with the PRP treatment and wished I knew about this place before . I’m planning to do my knee now since I have an old injury and love to work out and want to be pain free. I had a really painful back injury, but with the help and care from the doctors and staff at Proper Balance. I was feeling much better after about just a month. My experience has been great. From the moment I walk in, Janelle the receptionist is super helpful and friendly. My PT is always supervised by either Doctor B or Steven. They make sure my form is correct and getting to the areas that need it the most. Which is really important. With my therapy I chose trigger shots with nurse practitioner Nina. She is the best! I cannot recommend proper balance enough! The staff here is exceptional, the service multi faceted, and the results speak for themselves. I'm a very active person. I've had injuries nagging me for a few years now and had almost given up on returning to my former level of activity after many poor experiences with doctors, physical therapists, and other chiropractors. The staff are trained professionals (PAs rather than estheticians) who are highly skilled and knowledgeable about the treatments they offer. This is the only place in the city that offers PRF rather than PRP micro needling facials, and the only place offering RF facials with PRF. They are always adapting to new and advanced technologies and the most up to date trends in skincare, but without any of the snake oil (and excessive cost) you might find in a day spa. Outstanding service and care throughout my entire treatment plan. I went to Dr. Knox with multiple sprains to my right ankle, that I had never properly dealt with. After undergoing all of the necessary tests, my treatment plan was devised to get my ankle back to full function. I drove quite a ways because I had purchased a groupon for microneedling with prf. Once I saw I was in a sports med place I ended up (thanks to a cancellation) also having shockwave and prf to an injury I sustained a long time ago that was flaring up. The staff on site are medically trained and very very kind and warm. I have been to various aestheticians and in the last year, this was the most warm yet "normal" staff I have met. They have your best interests in mind- medically, pocketbook considerations, and aesthetics. I highly recommend them and will be returning both as an athlete and an aging woman.

The first time we saw Dr. Cox was for my then 4 year old daughter. My daughter had suddenly begun limping and complaining that her leg hurt. We took her to her pediatrician who ordered x rays but ultimately didn’t find anything wrong. Very frustrating. A friend of mine had recommended Dr Cox so we decided to give her a shot. Dr Cox was so friendly and so patient with my very resistant, uncooperative child. Very tight and stiff body is loose, thanks to Nina’s magic & Carlos massages. I have been a client of Proper Balance for over 10 years to deal with chronic neck issues. Sometimes my neck gets so that it is painful to move left or right. Dr. Knox has always been able to treat my neck so that I am back to normal with just a few visits. I absolutely love the Pulstar device she uses for doing adjustments!! Dr. Knox and the Proper Balance Healthcare staff CHANGED MY LIFE! I came to Dr. Knox in early September after seeking treatment else where that just wasn’t working. I had been experiencing pain in my neck and back at 10+ levels most of the summer. After taking X-rays, I was surprised to learn that I had scoliosis and a reverse curvature in neck. Looking at the x-rays of my neck and back next to x-rays of what they should look like was beyond scary. Dr. Knox was right there with me, even through the tears, to reassure me that things would get better. She laid out a wellness plan for me which included other things then just the traditional adjustments, i.e. shockwave, trigger point injections and physical therapy. Being very scared and uncomfortable of manual adjustments, the pulstar machine Dr. Knox uses on me is perfect, a machine that aligns without cracking or popping. At the beginning of all this I was in agony and crying from pain most days. I can now say that is a thing of the past and I owe it all to Dr. Knox and her team! My goal at the beginning of all this was to be functioning at a normal level by my birthday. My birthday is Saturday and I can confidently say that my goal has been far more than achieved! I can't stop talking about this place! I discovered them through Groupon for a 90 minute prenatal massage ( I'm 7 months pregnant) and let me tell you Carey took me to a different world! She was so great and got all my aches and pains out! Also after my massage I spoke to Christina one of the many chiropractors there and she aligned me and put me on a plan to help me get straightened out and get my best self ready to deliver in November. I now come here weekly to get re-alligned and mostly everything is covered through insurance. I can't reccomend this place enough. My masseuse was very kind but did put a little too much pressure resulting in my muscles being severely sore the next day after the massage. 48 hours later my muscles are much less sore but i can still tell.
