I’ve been going to SOWA medspa for over a year and had always trusted Alex with my treatments. When she had her baby, I was very hesitant to work with someone new but when I met Lauren she made me feel right at home. Aside from her eye for aesthetics, she is so personable and warm. I never feel pressured into doing any treatment and I know I can trust her with an honest opinion about my appearance. I always look forward to my visits and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Loved my experience with Rachel. She’s the best! Takes her time and is super knowledgeable. I went in for a peel but decided to try microneedling and I definitely don’t regret it. I didn’t see a major difference at first but after a week, I def started noticing a visible difference. Once my skin started to heel, I loved my results. I can't recommend SOWA Medspa, and more specifically Lauren Walter, enough! Great location, great services at a super reasonable price, and seriously the best staff. I've been seeing Lauren for close to a year now for botox and recently took a leap of faith to try lip filler. She's AMAZING, I so enjoy going to see her, and she makes everything so natural, just the way I want it! Despite being in the South End and "down town" from where I live I still go to this spa for all my treatments. The parking is not as bad as you'd think as it's on a cross street with a very residential road. I love the nurses here and keep coming back for a few reasons. For one I love that they are all young, partial owners of the business. They all take great pride in what they do. Second, they take an honest, professional approach to their clients. I originally came in with several ideas, most of which are trendy and I probably saw on social media. After discussing what I wanted to achieve during my appointment, the nurse and owner talked me through what that would entail, and the pros and cons. She did not discourage me or make me feel bad, but offered other solutions that would PROLONG my treatments and the aging process. Instead of going ahead and filling my face with fillers as requested, she recommend I work with my body and revive the existing collagen I have. They care more about fixing the underlying problem than putting lipstick on it. That is the 100th reason why I appreciate them at SOWA! After having a new treatment everyone from the coordinator to the nurse/esthetician that performs the procedure is attentive and caring. I have texted them after hours, sometimes weeks after the appointment with questions and receive a prompt response! Love this small women owned business

They were great about giving me enough to be beneficial but not look too “frozen.” I have been getting botox/xeomin for a while and Sowa Med Spa is the best place I’ve gone to!! Great results, reasonable pricing. They were honest about me not needing botox for my crows feet yet, and honesty about what is and isnt needed is always something I look for in a provider!

Staff was nice and courteous(that’s why I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1). I chose this place because it was close and convenient for me. I’m 3 weeks in on my dysport and very unhappy with results on my forehead. I’ve had Botox before and felt heard and those problem areas were taken care of and looked amazing. Unfortunately I didn’t feel heard and there’s no difference on the areas I expressed concern for! I was also told dysport was more expensive usually than Botox which is untrue but I let that slide. I felt more like I was trying to be upsold procedures than listened to. I’m all for hearing about what would be best but my problem areas were not addressed properly. Looks like I’ll have to drive back up north which is inconvenient but at least I know my results will be great.

I went for a consultation before booking an appointment. Unfortunately I had to cancel my appointment for the recommended treatment due to back issues. I thought my skin would be examined well and advise given. Instead I was asked what products I use which is fine as I use several different brands all well known. No advise was given but a hydra facial recommended and the using of the products used by the store. I just feel the use of a magnifying glass and a real examination of my face would have provided a better consultation. I live very close by so if I really felt they could provide me with something I really needed I definitely would be a regular. I am now however going to find somewhere that really consults., you are just not for me

I got the signature facial that included dermaplaning, a deep cleaning tool that lifted all the gunk out of my pores, and I selected the hydrating rose mask to finish it off that smelled great and was really fun to peel off. I also got a B complex shot (great for vegetarians with B vitamin deficiencies), and my very first ever Botox! My forehead and 11s already look smoother without looking like the Bride of Wildenstein! The office is very clean, bright, and relaxing, even waiting for my appointment was pleasant. I’m really looking forward to my next facial and trying out some of her other services!

MICRONEEDLING UPDATE: Let me tell you how patience is everything ! I went on a Friday and came out as if the sun was fighting me lol. My skin was red and burning for the next hours. The second day my skin was red and really bad, I've never seen my skin so dirty. The third day I was so worried about my skin that I contacted Rachel. She asked me to wait at least one week from the treatment. The fourth day, I started to notice some peeling and different pigments in the skin. Then, on the fifth day, not sure how or what happened my skin magically changed. I am telling you I was glowing. No makeup, no filters, nada- 0. I was beginning to glow. So gorgeous! Today it is a week from the treatment and look at this! I def., recommend Rachel she was amazing, sweet and professional. Cant wait for my second appointment.

She makes both your models feel comfortable and you as a trainee feel comfortable as well which is very important. She guided me through everything.
