For the first time since our son was born in 2019 we went to Valley Fair Mall as a family. Between working a bunch and paying off debt and managing life after the worst of the Covid pandemic, we needed this moment. Peeking into the shops, talking to people, the little train ride ($4 per person, which was worth it because the happiness my son felt was priceless to me), and the delicious food at the Cafe Fair food court made the experience pleasant! My wife and I enjoyed Asian/Chinese food from Han Bowls while my son wanted simpler from Hotdog-on-a-Stick. We got my son a new bike at JB Toys while we all enjoyed some sweets from the Candy Barrel. I think next time we visit we want to try the Animal Wranglers if my son is old enough to ride with me or his mom. Or maybe the All-Star Bowling & Entertainment. There's so much to enjoy especially if you're one of those people like myself that doesn't get out much. There's something for everyone here.

Great mall. Expensive - crowded during the holidays. You can find a lot of things. When a log of people around the parking is not enough. Need to find place to park. Huge mall expect to walk a lot to find your store. Recommend this mall

I couldn't recognize more than half of the brands they had here. Some stores didn't even have a brand, it just looked like a thrift shop. The mall itself has an old vibe.

I have so many mixed feelings about this place. Like cool movie theater but bring 60 bucks for 2 people. Cool stores but the same 3 people own most of the stores in this mall and it shows. Like the Asian-style gift stores are awesome but do we need 6 of them?

It's been a few years since I've been and it's changed in many ways. The outside of the mall has been updated extensively and features more of the bigger name stores while the inside of the mall has gone relatively unchanged and comprises of mostly small businesses which is awesome! A third of the mall has been renovated into a bowling establishment. Didn't have a chance to check it out.

The place is usually really busy. Still the workers are really helpful. I am always buying shirts, shoes, house hold items that are name brand here at Ross the name brand items are cheaper here then most all other stores. I recommend Ross stores for all your purchases this holiday shopping.

I love a lot of the stores they have at this mall. They have an Asian gift shop that's way cool to check out. Then the Lego store is the best for kids. I also love the food court and the big restaurants they have. Cheesecake Factory is always a win for everyone since the menu is the size of a cookbook!

It is a great shopping center, it has a bit of everything and you can get good prices. It also has several options for children to have fun, a variety of food, movies and bowling, but the most surprising and amazing are the trips on the train without tracks inside the mall. It was a great experience!!! Super recommended !!!

It keeps getting nicer and bigger. These days I only go to the outer restaurants and sometimes stores. Miss the Cinemark Dollar theater and it’s arcade. Saw half or more of the movies I’ve seen in the theater there. But the bowling alley they put there looks spacious and nice. The parking lot carnival and classic car shows are neat.

I love that malls aren't crowded anymore. Keep supporting everything you hate by throwing your plastic digital currency, into your digital palm to face vice, I'll go there and explore my local shops more. ********'it's a good place with many smaller mom and pops shops so you are really supporting the little guys when you come here. One of the places I go is Ryan's Jewelry and it's a tiny little place but they offer lifetime batteries and always there to help put a watch band on etc....

Went to In-N-Out Burger there. Ordered a cheeseburger with extra lettuce, extra tomato, a french fry and large size Sprite. Easy on the ice which I was corrected immediately by the order taker that they don't serve Sprite but they have seven up which I love as well. I love their french fries, hamburgers

The Valley Fair Mall is actually big and fun. Love shopping there cause you have so many ideas and so many different types of stores you can go in and explore what’s new and make so many different kinds of decisions of what to buy or not buy lol. As I was saying it’s big and fun. They have clothing stores, show stores, phone stores, and even a lots of food places you can sit and enjoy a good meal, only to take a break from walking around the big mall lol. Anyways that’s it! Walked around, did some window shopping, inside where it was warm. Temp outside was 18, without a wind-chill factor that made it feel more like 3° f. LOVED Pretzel Maker! We got pretzel bites without salt, no waiting for them to cook. Freshly made and Natcho cheese and a smoothie. Mmmm...good!!!

Great shopping for all. Great "food court" with lots of choices. Mega Plex Theater accessible from inside and outside tomorrow. If you want it or if you need it I bet you'll find it here! The only thing that I know that that was missing was any kind of pharmacy. Maybe most malls don't have pharmacies I'm not sure. Shop here thumbs up! One last note there's a Red Robin Burger joint in the mall an In and Out Burger joint outside the mall. So if you got a craving their there too!!

Oh if these walls could talk. The first time I visited Valley Fair Mall I was in a hurry. This time I set aside several hours to explore the mall. I had memories flood in as the first business I opened was in a regional shopping center. I could see and feel years of experiences. I saw many one of a kind stores. I read the mall’s reviews. I took my time and tried to visualize the many changes this mall has gone through. It started to pull me in. You need to spend a few hours here if you are a bit older and want to revive some old memories. I will return again. I will strike up conversations looking for owners to share stories with. I am beginning to love ❤️ this place.

Our company had a party here on Sunday. It was a great time! Full bar, bowling, bocce ball, axe throwing, foosball, shuffle board, pool table and outdoor yard games in the locked off outdoor area! I did not hear any negative feedback at work today. Personally, I had a blast! Thank you Pins & Ales

Surprisingly, for location...this mall has a lot to offer in potential. Many great stores surrounding the central mall. The mall itself is very warm and inviting, however, the stores aren't your typical Utah mall stores. Some off name companies occupy these halls. Could be to meet the needs of the lower income area comparative to other mall locations or simply because this location has been forgotten about. Either way, I really enjoyed this spot.

Nice stop. Lots of sales going on right now. Very little traffic in store. Stopped at Ryan’s Custom Jewelry for a replacement watch battery. Oscar was a gem, all pun intended. Gentleman with his approach and very knowledgeable. It took fifteen minutes tops for him to do his thing. Used that time to get a delicious mint chocolate chip milkshake from Dairy Queen. Very clean place. I had to check out the bowling alley also. They have it all. Definitely coming back.

I only went to Hobby Lobby, didn't go into the mall area. The parking lot entrance is weird, narrow and strange. There was too much snow left in the walking areas. I didn't see evidence of ice melt.

I haven't thoroughly been to the mall, but from the places I have visited, it's alright. The Wingers there took 2 hours to get us our food, and one person got their food brought out with the checks. The bowling alley there was pretty fun tho, they had the option to add or subtract points on the fly, so we started betting points on other players. I'd have to explore more to give a fully accurate review, but from what I've seen, it's not too bad

Valley fair mall has definitely fallen from grace but they never go down without a fight. All stars is great and Arcade Galactic is always a gem. Their food court is sure to have something for everyone.

Nicely remodeled mall on the west side of the Salt Lake valley. The mall is currently receiving new stores, anchor stores, and event spaces (like the new all star lanes) which is nice because it shows positive investment.

Although VALLEY FAIR MALL is needed due to loss of COTTONWOOD MALL + fashion place having a VERY small selection, I stopped by Hobby Lobby/V.F. NICE helpful employees with lots of variety though ironically very few models.

This is a sad mall, not a lot of light at night, also there are not a lot of nice stores, but if you are Latin you should find some things that you need, like Mexican Soccer Jerseys or clothes for XV años or Primera Comunión

Recently attended the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Valley Fair Mall. From what I understand the show and event was produced by a third party company that does most of the other holiday events for Valley Fair Mall. We brought our entire extending family (60+ people) to this event as we have been looking for new Christmas traditions and it did not disappoint! The show was fun, topical yet family friendly, and unique. It started a little late and had a couple technical difficulties, and we were bummed that we couldn't find the Hot Cocoa vendor, but my family did get a picture with Santa, The Grinch, and the rest of the actors from the show! There was also a firework show at the end that was one of the best I have ever seen! Overall, it was a very positive and fun event that left my family with memories for a lifetime! I hope this is something that VFM brings back every year because we would love to make it an official tradition! We will definitely be back to see what they do for Halloween! Highly recommend!

Alicia has always been working at the all star arcade when I’ve gone with my friends. Last night, at my bachelor party, she even fixed a laser tag gun for us so all of us could play together, and made sure all of the equipment was functional. Disappointed to see the Popcorn Cottage forced out. My kids loved getting popcorn from there. Before this place was meh at best when I was young. As I've gotten older it's been better. Better restaurants, some less shopping places but most people like myself shop online now. There are 2 bowling alleys, one for families and another that's also a bar. There's also an arcade, and laser tag. This is a fun place to go to

Finally a new Panda Express closer to me, the other two was farther away and the lines were forever. this one definitely needed to be open. so you can pass right by those old Burger stands and head over there. The food's great and quick and the price is awesome you'll love this place and tell them buzz sent you.

I'm not a mall shopper but I had time to kill in the area, so I went there to walk around. Found some nice stores that I will shop at in the future. The mall itself was clean and looked good. Lots of vacancies. I think the sign for Bed Bath and Beyond sould be taken down. I saw it from the road and intended to shop there until I'd discovered it was permanently closed.

It's a very serviceable mall, but certainly a lesser tier one than many of the other big shopping malls around the valley. They have a lot of cool little gift shops and niche stores for a wide variety of interests. The whole place feels much more clean and polished these days since the remodeling. But there is a bit of a problem with the kiosks set up around the mall; most of them were selling obviously bootleged products.

Nice clean mall with a good variety of stores. However some of the stores are not in the main mall so walking outside is needed therefore avoid snowy and rainy days or come prepared to fight the elements if you visit any of those retailers. Also very nicely decorated at Christmas. pre-Covid they also offered a safe indoor trick or treating experience from store to store , complete with pictures with ghouls and goblins hired by the mall (very professional costumes)and a stage with entertainment.

Valley fair is a very fun place to visit! They have a bunch of nice stores, not the cheapest prices but they are reasonable. Me and my daughter go on the weekends, and head over to the delicious food court! They have all types of delicious foods. I recommend this place as a fun family day place!

It was a very odd experience. It was one of the very few times I've taken to go out and visit around the city since covid started. I went out on a Monday as well, but it was a nice experience with how quiet it was, there was hand sanitizer at every entrance of every store as well as the entrance to the entire mall. Did a little shopping to support the shops, then went to the movies!

Good employees. Good diversity of stores, and merchandise sold. Great atmosphere. You can tell that an extremely careful (and I imagine costly) effort has been made to improve the mall from what it was. The only downfall this mall has is the large areas with no stores, but only long sections of wall. Great place though. I would recommend Valley Fair Mall in general. Mostly because of the aforementioned atmosphere that, to me, feels so welcoming and cheerful.

I have loved this place since I was a kid and it has only gotten better with age. There is a neat splash pad. Outdoors that is open in the summer time that my kids love!!! Excellent remodeling with newer stores. It is a great place to hang out with friends or family. Love this place especially since they put in this cute new train ride that takes the kids(for a small fee) a trip around the mall.

The actual mall is pretty run down inside. The outside is newer and a bit nicer. They took the “dollar movies” away (sad face) but Megaplex makes up for it and I’m sure brings lots of traffic. There are a few nice stores inside.

No matter what rain, snow or shine you can always be able to find everything you want if not more here at the Valley Fair Mall. If you can't find anything then at least you can have fun by bowling or playing arcade games along with getting a bite to eat

Hobby lobby carries the most awesome kikfit shoes ever. They have solid souls and leather toes but just like ballet slippers so they don't hurt your feet but you can wear them anywhere

So many incredible improvements. The restaurants outside are great, the stores inside have greatly improved and the addition of the Mega Plex Theater & All Star Lane's has really changed Valley Fair for the better. It's a great mall now.

This mall has changed a lot over the years construction wise and there are more stores around it than there ever was. On the outside parking sucks at the front, but there is always parking at the back of the mall near food court side “All Star” side. Food court food is average. Stores inside are “ok”. There a few mom and pop shops I like to go to, to support and buy from. You’ll find basics but definitely not very ritzy inside, it’s more average inside. Atmosphere is chill, family oriented, kids everywhere. Fashion Place Mall is fancier than Valley Fair. I like this mall because it’s sentimental to me and I have a lot of fun memories there while I was growing up as a kid. So sentimental value makes it a 4 star. But outsiders and first timers would probably see it as a 3.

They have a good selection of stores and food options. I like the layout which enables me to walk some laps when the weather outside it bad. Their food court is good. I am glad that they are adding some more shops. Their parking is great. This is a good place to meet people.

Not many stores to choose from the addition of all star entertainment is okay but the store variety is not so big the food court was good I love Osaka Japan restaurant it’s just ok the bathrooms are in a long hallway could’ve been much better location.

why we came here so long ago for some Christmas stuff and they seem to have everything we were looking for! The parking was great there were lots of trees overhead for the hot sun and most of the people in the stores we're pretty kind, everything was clean and upscale. I've got to say fashion place it's still number one as far as malls are concerned though :-)

We come to Valley Fair occasionally for Movies. The movie theater is fantastic. The mall itself is okay. Several of the stores are gimmicky and disorganized. A few are chain stores. We never shop here but will occasionally will shop at the store outside of the mall. I've heard the crime rate is high in this area but we've never seen anything or had anything bad or even remotely sketchy happen.

I have been to this mall many many times since my childhood. I can tell you from experience, this mall has improved considerably since the 90s. The only thing in which there has been no improvement is their Dollar theater. But you get what you pay for there I suppose. With the inclusion of a Megaplex theater, I am a little surprised they still have a dollar theater. Despite this you really do get an upscale shopping experience

The mall has done better since they’ve began to invest in the overall landscape of the facility. Store selection is ok and food court is nothing special. There are plenty of restaurants though. They could really work on maintaining their new facilities as this is lacking a lot of the time.

I took my daughter here to see Santa and they had reindeer and a huge Christmas tree that my daughter loved!i love all the stores outside of this mall too. Rue 21,the Sweet Tooth Fairy (even tho it's no longer there), the megaplex is my favorite place to watch movies, and bath and body works. I definitely like going to this mall now that the cleaned it up and put a better selection of stores.

This mall was renovated a few years back and it is now really nice. The fountain outside is fun for the kids to play in on hot days and the winter Christmas display is amazing. The new theater is awesome. It's typically less crowded than Fashion Place.

There's a little bit of everything, this mall has a variety of stores to shop for sweet 15 dresses or special events. Great chinese food, so many to choose from. Nice clean and modern facility. My kids loved riding the carousel, the lady attending the carousel was so kind.

The new updates in this mall are great. They have awesome places to eat. The stores are appropriate for this area. They have two movie theaters each one good in there own way. The only fault is the parking lot. Its like a maze of tiny rows that wind in and out of stores. There is just a lot of work to actually get to where your going.

It's a decent mall that is reflective of the decent city in which it resides. It's home to really great movie theaters and a couple of high-end cosmetic outlets. Other than that it's contains the usual compliment of retail shops, jewelry stores, clothing, etc. A couple of empty lots hurts the mall-scape a little, but overall a good place to shop.

I grew up going to Valley Fair Mall, so it has a special affinity to me. Its really made some drastic changes recently, some good, some not so good. The new entertainment area there fabulous! I miss the old movie theater though, worked there when I was a teenager. Great times there! I go to this mall every year for my birthday because my late mom would take me there for my birthday December 21) as a kid/teen, so it's always been a part of my birthday and holidays every year. There's a pins and ale on the east side of this mall that has an arcade, bumper cars, laser tag, and vr gaming that the kids and I enjoyed. There's also lots of shops, food, and even massage tables and chairs. Kind of cool mall, the fountain area is really nice looking as well, I even remember pre pandemic seeing the children playing in the water.

The mall isn't bad - I'm just not a fan of the location and it's not really close to home. Lately, we've only gone here to the Megaplex Theater for convenient movie showtimes, when they're not playing in The District location. Parking is ample and free all around the mall. There are also several restaurants in the area.

This mall is so bad. They are trying to make things better but 75% of the stores look and feel like glorified flee markets. Currently half of the food court is shut down because of construction. Hopefully as they keep making improvements, it becomes a place someone might actually want to visit. However I think the real problem is the stores that are currently leasing.

I love the big theater, and the food court area. The front area with the fountain/water pad area is nice. Lots of restaurants to choose from outside, too. Sadly no more dollar theater is no longer there, nor the carousel. Those were great. There is a regular movie theater still. Train ride inside 👍 & little animals you can ride around on. Kids thru adults can ride on both the train & animals.

You have to give Valley Fair Mall credit for staying busy during a time when most shopping malls are closing their doors. Between the shops in the actual mall, and the myriad businesses in the buildings surrounding it, there are a lot of shopping options. However, that success is one of the reasons I avoid it: there are towns that are smaller than the Valley Fair parking lot, and if you enter on the opposite side of where you actually want to park, it can take forever to drive around, especially if the mall is busy. Even if you're in basically the right place, passing through all the stop signs and intersections can be kind of harrowing as people come speeding in off the street, impatient and aggressive because they've been waiting at a red light while multiple Trax trains passed by. The other reason I avoid VF Mall is because of the roving gangs. They don't usually bother bystanders, but in an effort to combat them, VF has hired lots of security, and the WVC police maintain a constant, heavy presence. I wouldn't say I've ever felt unsafe there, but considering that one can go to Fashion Place Mall and shop somewhere that doesn't feel like a bad 90s South Central LA movie, I don't find much cause to visit VF. Judging my the enormous amount of people there most days though, I don't think it's in any danger of going out of business any time soon.

I went into Victoria secret and was helped by a friendly, approachable, and respectful sales associate in the fitting room named Nicky. She took the time to fit me for the right bra. Personally for me I do not frequent this place. It is poorly lit and the outside is litered with liquor bottles and beer cans. The inside could use some improvements as far as modernization and general upgrades. It appears that the owner has given up. The shops inside are hit and miss on quality as well as far as cleanliness, up keep, and providing quality customer service. I think this mall has great potential but at the current state of it, it falls short of my expectations as a family mall and a place I would want to take my kids, I will stick to Fashion Place, City Creek or Gateway. They are much more family friendly, up to date and welcoming.

Only thing really open at noon is the arcade, the nerd shop, Ross, and a shoe store. Security and some employees ignore the posted guidelines while what few patrons were there were following them. It was pretty quiet and parking was easy though, any other time of the year its a madhouse to get a spot.

I grew up going to this mall so my review may be biased. I remember this mall before it was remodeled and before there we tracks on 2700 w. This mall has came quite a long way. They have some cool shops like the popcorn one and the VR place. They also have a big arcade which used to be a very small arcade. The food court is ok. I wish they had a hot topic and Spencer's but I don't think that will happen.

They have a great discount theater there we (my family and I) go to quite frequently. Their theater is very well maintained, comfortable seats and the favorite movies we're looking for as soon as they've been released from the big ticket theatres for only a couple of dollars...a fraction of the new release prices. Used to be a ratty mall years ago but has been renovated & is nice now. The renovation also greatly improved road access to the mall. Costco next door & LOTS of very good places to eat in the outdoor plaza of the mall. Food court inside the mall is also decent. They're turning it into a entertainment destination with the movie theater, bowling, and other 'Dave & Bustors' type fun. Close to the freeway so quick to get to.

The Nerd Store, Game Grid and Game Peddler are the best stores there and 90% of the reason I even go there. It's usually filled with little punk ass WVC teenagers so it can really only be half decent anyway, but the food is good and the theater is nice plus there's the dollar theater which although it's messy and kinda gross it's something to do and West Valley seriously lacks stuff to do. I miss Hollywood Connection.

I would have given 5 stars, the only reason thatI only gave 3, is because this place needs to loosen up a little bit on their "no open carry" rules and instead of having their security stop and talk about open carrying not being allowed. Take advantage of the opportunity to have that person be on the malls side to prevent incidents that have been happening everywhere. Everyone should stop refusing this stuff. To much bad has happened to refuse law abiding citizens from carrying however they choose. For protection against those who do mean harm.

I love this mall. The renovations are fabulous, and it has all the best stores. The arcade is in a bigger area, the Nerd Store is awesome, they have a VR station now, and Game Peddler is great for classic finds. Not many malls offer 2 movie theaters, and how many have trax right out front. I love it there, although I do miss BC Surf and Sport.

This place has upgraded a lot since i was a kid wish they still had a miss fields cookies but it's ok. They have train rides a movie theater a gnc and the new bowling alley and arcade seems pretty legit. Also great place for shopping for pretty much anything since everything is so close.

This place has come a long way in the recent years. I personally don't think it's as nice as Southtowne or Fashion Place but it is getting alot better. They do have your mainstream stores which is nice but they do some oddball ones that aren't necessarily the greatest. Their movie theater they now attached to it is really nice too. Special offers on movie tickets sometime if you book through some specific application. My kid love to ride the train running inside the mall. Special decoration during Christmas is special mention as it’s awesome, specially musical light with some interval.

They are really trying to clean the mall up and bring in new stores. Macy's one of the anchor stores left about two years ago and now West Valley City is finally getting a Hobby Lobby in its place! The dollar theatre has been gone now for about a year and in its place is going to be a super nice bowling alley called Pins and Ales. Not to mention on the outside facing West is an Old Navy that is under construction and nearing completion. Super excited for all the changes that are taking place.

There is a ton of shopping to be done at this location. There is a huge arcade with laser tag, retailers galore. The downside to this spot is that, while it looks like it's all connected, many of the stores only have access from outside the main building, not from the main walking areas inside the mall. There, are, however, several satellite buildings with more stores in them, so it's not a total drag, just don't expect to walk right into a store just because it's attached to the main building, you may have to go outside and look for it's entrance.

Valley fair mall is a pretty good place to shop, they have a strong number of shops and good price ranges. I love that Ulta is there but sad that Maurice's it's not. I also love that Costco is so near and some really nice restaurants like Olive garden and Wingers. The splash pad is really great out front, the kids enjoy it immensely, and in the winter I LOVE the great Christmas tree and music with lights display! My biggest complaint is parking, the stalls are VERY TIGHT, but overall it can be a fun experience!

This old, out if tune mall has been around for quite some time. With most of the nice stores pulling out to Utahs nicer malls, Valley Fair has been left with the weird stores with not much to offer. Their semi new movie theater is nice and well kept, and they now have bowling as well. The restaurants out front always have good options. Don't forget there is a Costco Wholesale here too!

Went shopping for shoes for grandkids. The cashier at payless was super friendly. She enrolled us in the birthday club. My daughter decided to treat me to a hair cut and style at L.A. cuts. We then headed to the nail salon by the entrance and my girl treated me to my first time of getting nails done. Then my friend called and we met up at Red Robin. Perfect ending to good day. Good eats...with good peeps😎 a simple trip turned into an all day affair. With good times great friends, and memories for a life time. Thank you

Recently updated the building and stores, and grounds up to date Amenities services and public areas, great areas for families to hang out side during the summer fountains for the kids to play in and new movie theater with jumbo screen. Unfortunately located in a rougher area so it attracts some not so savory characters and ruins the family friendly activities. Plus a couple of stores inside mall are v owned and operated by some carny types scam artists that sale garbage Products. So in closing I would recommend going to a different mall if at all possible and even driving an extra 15 minutes to another a different mall if you don't mind driving a little bit out of your way, If your just needing to get a certain item and can just run in real quick and run out. But I would not recommend making a day out of it. Good luck and happy shopping.

It's West Valley, enough said. The mall itself is alright, there's plenty of stuff there even if it feels more like a warehouse inside. There is however plenty of reason for there to be a West Valley Police office inside, and it's unfortunately not uncommon to see police escorting whole families out for fighting or other crimes. The only reason I'd give it a full 3 stars is for nostalgia and some of the better shops that do what they can for the location. Other than that, it's a cheap location with everything that comes with that classification.

The movie theater at Valley Fair Mall is probably the best movie experience you can have in Salt Lake County,.. truly,.. it's very nice with the latest in movie experience tech. There's even a little train ride for the kiddies to ride. The Mall is kept very clean, smells good... The reason for only 4 stars is because there's a couple of stores I'd like to see there but are not. (Like a Nordstroms, iPhone)

However that is no longer the case they have completely done a 180 now the mall is well lit and attracting higher quality shops. The newish megaplex is also a Major upgrade.

This mall is ok. If we just rated it based on the arcade with 10 pinball machines I would give it 5 stars. Its like a relic from the 1980s and 1990s that is persisting into 2020. Maybe im just old but the gimics used there are simply outdated ans obnoxious. Add covid19 into the mix and I dont need to be there. The all stars bowling there is pretty pathetic as far as fun centers go. Seriously go to the Sandy Fun Center for a way better time. If there is a store there you like 👍. The Asian Gift Store is 5 stars as well as the Nerd Store. Otherwise this mall is pretty sad.

On the one hand, it's a completely different place with all the stuff out front and the fancy new theater. Many people may disagree with me, but I think this place has its charm. As a Turkish citizen who admires Mexican culture, just to share the space with Mexican Americans as a good experience for me. But many shops are also original, as well as cheap movie theater. But the food court is terrible, the food there made me sick. Eat in one of the places outside of the mall.

This mall has a little bit of a weird vibe. It's not very well lit, and a lot of the shops feel disorganized and dirty, almost pawn-shop-ish. You could get a few fun pieces here for really specific things (wigs, big prom dresses, and soccer paraphernalia), but it's not very fun to wander.

This mall actually smells exactly what u picture a mall smelling like. So the whole mall experience is created right down to the very smell that u picture a mall smelling like. I went and saw a movie at the theater there and i paid just as much for the popcorn and soda as I did the luxury seat in the theater. So I suggest u smuggle ur own goodies in if ur going. Also , the movie started at least a half hour later than the time said but as far as theaters go, this was by far the best one I've been to.

Has a good selection of stores. The entrance to bed bath and beyond is on the OUTSIDE of the mall, which makes it very inconvinient for anyone carrying a little one in a carrier walking inside the mall. Overall not too bad. Also, if you want to purchase something at Sephora here, plan on not finding it in stock.

The mall isn't that great as far as stores go, but they do have pretty good restaurants to choose from. The megaplex theater is awesome and the water fountain/splash pad is really fun and free for the kids on a hot day!

This mall doesn't have a lot to offer right now. The food court is mostly Asian Food, with Mexican and Italian restaurants too. There are a decent selection of restaurants outside. They are asking a bowling center that will not be ready until next year.

This Hobby Lobby at the Valley Fair Mall is the second largest out of 900 others. They opened at a perfect time of year (September) when all of the Halloween and Christmas seasonal items are on 40 or 50 percent discounts. They everything. The florals are awesome. This mall has improved over the years. The best store here is the Nerd Store in my opinion, which continues to grow! They have Ross attached and the Child's Place as well as Rue21 in the same lot. The Cafe Rio here is the worst Cafe Rio in Utah. Also, Parking usually sucks.

Doesn't get much traffic as it use to. The stores surrounding the mall get more visitors. Hopefully with the bowling alley and other attractions, the traffic will pick up. Not as upscale as Fashion Place Mall or South Towne Mall but it's getting there. Ross, Ulta and Red Robin's are the most popular to visit.

Sense the remodel the mall has really changed and updated a lot of it's looks not stuffed to the gills like fashion place but very well rounded and easy to navigate and with the outdoor shopping district surrounding it you are pretty much sure to find what you need while you are there. But since the revamp a few years ago, the addition of the Megaplex Theaters, and all the new stores that have gone up in what was a massive parking lot, it's become a more attractive shopping center with higher quality stores outside.

Several stores are closed because of Covid. The mall itself has signs up warning to take precautions such as 6 ft apart from other patrons & wear masks, & yet some of the benches are back to back which does not maintain these safety guidelines. Over 1/2 the patrons were not wearing masks & often did not maintain the 6 ft distancing. Even security patrols were not wearing masks. Most store employees were wearing the masks. & no where did I see hand sanitizer except a few select stores that were doing this them selves.

I used to work at this mall about fifteen years ago, and it was the dumpiest mall I’ve seen. We recently visited and I was blown away by how nice it looked and how it’s grown. They have everything you could look for, plus some pretty amazing restaurants around it.

Very updated. Very clean and spacious. There are lots of stores in the mall and out. The parking for the stores and restaurants outside are a little spread out so don't be surprised if you must walk for a bit. Very safe and well lit.

I've gotta say that VF has come a long way after being remodeled. It's actually a nice and family-friendly place. From shopping to dining, and a new movie theatre too! Maybe not as new but it's a nice addition.

I would much rather go to this mall for the mall or the movies than to the mall downtown because parking is much easier to find and they don't charge for parking. The area has a higher percentage of Hispanics so don't be alarmed when you feel like you are in Mexico. If you have not been to this mall give it a try you might just have a fun and interesting time.

I was there on a Monday night, there was no one there. I might have been the only person in the whole mall. I thought maybe the zombies finally attacked and I was the last one to find out. Turns out staying home on Mondays is like a Utah thing. There should be signs for us out of towners ...the movie theater was good. They had a menu bigger than burger king.

I have been going to Valley Fair Mall for over 20 years. I have seen it turn into a decent Mall. I miss the Keyhole, but ya gotta grow. The mall is a good place for kids and young adults to spend the day and enjoy themselves.

Dope place to chill at. Really like the stores, and for the most part, good service. Foot Locker sucked. The employer was arrogant and seemed very sure about what he was saying to me as though I was ignorant to the access of the internet. Anyway, the variety is what is expected. More for women, and even then, felt restricted to a select few of stores, and even fewer products. Food court is not that great either. No selection on types of food. Just 3 types spread out.

Valley Fair Mall gets a three-star because after doing major remodeling they raised the rent on the shops and a lot of the shops had to close down. Therefore the mall was like a ghost town for about six months. Maybe by now they've got more stores in there. They did add a movie theater with 3D which is out of my price range to ever go. They did at the time still have the dollar theater though. I have not been there at the mall for almost a year now. I will go back when I'm in the area!

Valley Fair Mall is a great place for kids! They have a full size carousel, and coin operated rides, a kid sized train, and electric go kart animals for rent. They host a number of kid events and most of the stores are kid friendly. Hammond Toys and Hobby and The Game Peddler will ensure a young person will find all they need.

This mall is definitely a unique shopping experience. It's surviving where other malls are failing by appealing to the large immigrant population of West Valley. There are a lot of small stores with a Hispanic or Asian target market. I really love the small Chinese snack stand called Asian Apps. The two theaters here are nice—the Megaplex for opening nights or IMAX quality movies, and the smaller dollar fifty theater for when you need a cheap night out. Love the Nerd Store as well. Definitely an interesting slice of the West Valley population.

Since the advent of the tech boom of the 2010s and the death of mall culture, places like this have had to endure however they can. The outlying buildings are the usual staples, eateries and brand stores, but inside is a truly fascinating emulsion of import stores, tchotchkey havens and, mysteriously, a Dillard's. Reminds me of the off-street tourist-traps in bigger cities where you buy the knock offs. If you're into dead malls, you might like to take a look

For a little known mall, it's actually a pretty cool place. I've enjoyed going there many times, they have a few nice theaters there, it's an experience I don't mind repeating from time to time. Its definitely worth going at least once.

This mall underwent a transformation which resulted in a very nice shopping center. Built in the early 70s it became a bit dated and lost some stores. It still lacks an anchor after Macy's went out but I like JCPenney and there aren't a lot of those left around here so I go primarily for that store. Parking on that end is plentiful but access into the mall is a bit restricted due to the freeway to the east, highway to the north, and Trax light rail line to the west, but that also means good access by car or UTA. There are several eating places surrounding the mall and food inside. It's casual mall style shopping.

This is Valley fair mall. It is a great place to kill time for me and my daughter and maybe grab some sweets 🍬. But if you haven’t been to this mall it is designed for a specific ethnic group. Mostly latino. They do have some typical mall stores like radio shack type stores, shoe stores, food court and such. But if you need your soccer ⚽️ gear, ostrich boots, big dresses for that #13 party then this is the mall you want to shop.

The mall has had some renovations but still has some empty stores and feels a bit dated. The teen presence is sometimes an issue as they form large groups in the center of the mall. This area of the city is prone to gang activity. Several stores have outdoor entrances so you don't actually have to enter the mall to shop there.

They have a nice large movie complex including an IMAX, good ice cream, and several shops. It may be worth traveling in from surrounding towns. We did travel in so we could watch a movie in Spanish which is rarely offered at most theaters. There is also a nice outdoor area too.

Valley Fair Mall has really made some awesome improvements! It is really nice mall to frequent. The mall extends clear to 2700 west now. Before it ended at the core of the mall area and the rest was just an open parking lot. Now there are nice eatery’s, like sushi monster, Olive Garden, TGI Friday’s, Cup bop, Zupas and much much more! They have music playing out doors. There’s even a splash pad. There are many shops in the actual mall to help suit your needs. Megaplex movies is awesome & there’s even Costco nearby!

Everyone went to the movies. The Nut cracker. It was so much fun. However mom left her purse. So panicking we called asking if they had found it. Yes they did and when I went to pick it up they made sure it was the right people picking up the purse. That was a nice feeling. Yet DO NOT attempt to ride the big carousel in the food court! 3.00 per VERY-short ride, and if your child won't even get on an animal to ride... 🖕 no refunds, suck it sucker. That's what you get for hoping this getto mall gave a flying fart about you, your kid's, and a good time here. It's all about US getting paid to sit around and offer no help. Yup, that includes the lady at the, "help desk" who had no power to help, and promptly returned to her book Thank you however for the DECENT shoppers who were kind enough to show some grace to their fellow shoppers around them.

Once a run down, older mall with lots of vacancies, Valley Fair Mall is now the pride of West Valley City. Lots of fun mall stores anchored by JC Penney and a huge multiplex theater. Wonderful food court with independent purveyors alongside the usual food court chains. Some of the best Mexican street style tacos and delicious salsas I've ever had and I've been around! Easy on and off the freeway make Valley Fair an easy option from downtown or the south valley. Check it out!

Never underestimate this local mall (most of the stores inside are locally owned). I always found something unique in this mall. Beside being local, it also has megaplex and IMAX, dollar movie, and a lot of chained restaurants outside the mall. So it's great for enjoying indoor and outdoor walking.

Mall floor feels like you're walking barefoot on bricks. I have diabetic neuropathy in my feet and that floor isn't inviting or welcoming to a diabetic at all!!! I'd recommend that any and all diabetics stay away from this mall until they make the floor disabled people friendly!!!

Years ago this was a laughably run-down mall. The last several years it's made massive improvements. The parking lot is still a nightmare to navigate properly (most drivers ignore the lines at this point) but it's a work in progress. Here's to hoping it'll keep improving.

We go often for the dollar movies. The mall itself is rather hit or miss. Anchor stores closed, but great restaurants available. The clientele is a younger crowd, we are senior citizens, and with recent shootings at valley fair mall it makes me nervous

I love the selection of restaurants at this mall and there are a few really good things about it I like, but there is also a ton of vacancy. I have heard that a majority of the stores that were here have gone out of business and I know that to be true of Macys which used to be here. I know they are now opening a Macys up at Fashion Place Mall though so that's a good thing and not far away. As far as stores I personally shop at, I wouldn't come here for much except JCPenneys and Bed Bath and Beyond. I shop at H&M, Forever 21, and some others that they don't have here, hence why it's not my favorite. The food options aren't bad though.

Not too busy. Customer service is ok. Ate at Rice Village and wish I never looked that way lol. Tasted like it was left out over night and warmed up, some of the chicken pieces were hard as a rock, no taste to anything. Had some of my husband's food from Greek Kabob and it was amazing!
