Reviews of Times Square
Antonio Perez Coss
This is definitely the hearth and would of the city!
If you are in New York, you have to go to Times Square, no doubts about it 😍
This is the place that concentrates one of the world most famous advertising spots, ads and news!
The feeling of just walking in this area is amazing and it’s free 😂
This place has been the background and stage of many movies, famous events, concerts, etc. There are plenty of options for shopping, eating and drinking. There are many theaters and attractions just concentrated in these few blocks.
Last but not least, if you are in New York in late December you should consider attend to the most famous New Year’s Eve celebration… obviously in Times Square! 👍

Had a great time here at Times Square, I am happy that there is a big Police presence here so that nobody gets way out of line. FYI… don’t go to Times Square if you cannot stand being around a lot of people. This place gets busy even on a weekday/ weeknight.!! Fun times though, highly recommended if you’ve never been here.

I loved going to Time Square at night. It was really nice and everyone was doing their own thing, lots of people there but there were no issues or trouble. There are lots of cool stores to shop at, lots of eateries even off the main streets. There were people out there Performing and so much to see and do. Everyone was happy and the vibe was good.
I do highly recommend going to Time Square at night!!! The lights and screens on the buildings are so colorful and huge, it's a sight to see!!!
Rob Strotman
My first visit to Times square and it was bustling, busy, full of people, and I must have heard no less than 10 different languages being spoken within a three block radius. Everyone was happy, and a good place, the street performers were entertaining, the general vibe was just one of happiness. I think people really sincerely just happy to be out again without their masks.

What can I say is times square. There's a lot to offer here so whatever your flavor is whatever you're looking for you find it down here. Now of course there's always going to be that one just looking for something that's not there but I would say 99.9% of people who will find it. As you can see from the pictures as there's a lot there but also a lot of family stuff but there's a lot of adult things so be careful what you see. From the silent trailer it's all of you thank you.
J
Even though the locals might tell you to stay away, don't listen to that. Times Square is a must visit and the most iconic place in New York City. Be prepared for big crowds so keep an eye on your belongings, but most of all: look up. Take a seat on the famous red steps and take it all in. It's amazing!
Oriane Boudinot
Not my first time here, but always fun! An overwhelming experience in a good way to walk around times square, always big screen tvs with so many colors, live music, street performers, and lots of touristy things to buy. Definitely worth at minimum a walk through to see it, or even hang around to enjoy people watching and all the movements and characters around!
Broken Syntax
the billboard screens here at time squere are absolutely phenomenal. 100% would reccommend for any tourist. #1 New York Times Best Selling, Grammy Award Winning Location. Nominee for Best Tourist Destination in the World at the Oscars(was beaten by the entire state of Alabama).
Collette Steward
I had a wonderful time, I always heard New Yorkers are extremely rude.. maybe since it was Time Square and there were a lot of tourists but everyone was friendly. Ran into one extremely rude waitress at Carlo's after waiting 30 minutes for 3 small cheesecakes to be boxed up but for the most part it was a wonderful trip.
Tz Y
There not too many places that you can go to that looks like time Square. It practically have everything. Food, lights, entertainment.. the list goes on. If you're ever in New York stop by and enjoy the scenery.
Juhi Pac
A definite must-do for tourists; it is iconic for a reason. The square is essentially a big outdoor mall, surrounded by major retailers like Sephora, M&M world, Forever 21, Line Friends, Disney, etc with countless TV billboards on the buildings. There are food vendors all around. It is surprisingly kept relatively clean. The lights make it very exciting especially at night
Chris
Times Square is a wild and unique place. It's a must visit location to see the sights and sounds at night.
It's always packed though so just be prepared for a larger crowd in an already very busy city.
Shilpitha
It's one of the iconic locations. You can find a lot of people here. It's a very good place to walk around and enjoy the night city life. You can also find people performing some shows and it will be fun to watch it.
Terrell Long
It was an Awesome experience. If you don't like crowds then this is not the place for you. Everything is Bright and lit up like its still daytime...lol! Vendors and Food Trucks everywhere... Loved it... You will as well!!
Monika Zieborak (GDANSKinNYC)
The iconic place of New York City. Always crowded always glittering of thousand lights and advertising screens. Outstanding athmosphere and real heart of this city. You must visit this place even if you are in NYC only for a while.
Scott Mathers
Mental! So unbelievably busy at night, but what a place.
Awe-inspiring, over the top, crazy, wow!
You absolutely have to go to Times Square when you visit New York. Oh, and get a slice from Joe's Pizza!
Indika Chandrasiri
This place is amazing at night. It's like living in a dream. There are lots of great food trucks around as well. A must visit place if you are traveling in New York City.
Lee Loo
A Beautiful sights and sounds despite the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple !
The moment I arrived , In my head I can’t stopped singing “ I wanna be a part of it, NEW YORK, New York!😊
Noise ! Lights ! Traffic ! Crowds ! Music! Naked girls whose only private parts are covered with a sorta tape out there in the cold for pictures, some only body paint ! Batman, Spider-Man , Pikachu! Picture with them and pay them . 😊
People from all over the world , all walks of life ! speaks different languages flocked here . A very well diverse crowd . A dream come true for most.
Food trucks are everywhere too. Shopping places , restaurants, also, fake designers bags are being sold along the side walk. This surprised me !!!
Anyway, fun to be in NYC .
Fusions of different cuisines .
Majid Khan
Nice place to visit, last time I visited alone and day time and this time I visited with my family, wow kids like the big and giant screens. Also some people are doing fun activities, dance 🕺 and other activities. Nearby street on 52 and 53rd street we had Gyro food which is very delicious 🤤 everyone love the food and Also we spent around hour or More there to enjoy the beautiful memories y night time.
Jorge Riva Portocarrero
It is always a dream to visit Time Square NYC. This is such an iconic place that I am sure many people around the world dream about visiting at least once. I am just grateful to live 3 hours away and have the opportunity to visit the NYC every two to three years. Get prepared for long walks, wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Plan your visit according to ensure a rewarding experience.
Nsi Okosi
This was epic! Met so many, shared with so many and received so much! Been here a couple of times, but this time was very special being accompanied by my kids. They made the entire experience worth the trip! Find time and visit Time Square. 7 or S bus from Grand Central 2 stops over and you are there!
Go see NYC!
Okosi, Syracuse
Richard Wiles
What a place! Huge electronic billboards and street artists who let you take a picture and then take your money. TBH there weren't that many wacky things going on, but met the naked cowboy which rounded off our holiday nicely.
laquita dandridge
Time Square was beautiful. It was my first time there but will be back very soon. It was very bright with TV screen that shows different advertisements. It also includes lots of shopping stores.
Eng K
A must-go place while visiting to New York, cause there are so many giant huge visionaries signboard and multiple of lights and people, noises and cars.... also lot of policemen stand-by around the area..... also there are lots of theaters and Broadway shows around the area.... but still just be cautious while passing the crowds!! Enjoy the stay in NYC
Sally Mitchell
We went here several times on our visit to the city, which I would highly recommend! Once was quite early morning & although you could see more, visiting again at busier times & seeing the crowds & bustle of the Square really adds to the experience.
Rob Macdonald
When visiting New York City, Times Square is a must at night. Be prepared, this is absolutely crazy busy on a slow night. We walked the strip a few times, saw some street shows, funny characters looking to take pictures with you for a fee (not sure I would suggest that).
There was plenty of police presence and they were very friendly and helpful. You have to wander in some stores and check out the sites.
In my opinion, the subway is the cheapest and easiest way to get into the area.
Joey Gibson
Super fun. Place to visit, slightly dirty, I would strongly suggest ignoring the characters that are dressed up like Mickey, Mario, etc. They are a huge scam. You will have five of them rush over and they all expected tip. Also ignore the men trying to give you a CD. Half the time those CDs are blank, they then will attempt to call you racist if you do not take their CD. Go, and just enjoy the sights and sounds of Time Square. Enjoy the people watching, it's the best.
Ratna Payel80
One of my all time Favorite place in NEw York City. Whenever I felt lost walking on the streets looking at other peoples happiness gave me different prospective in life.
I used to go to school in Times Square, bring back memories every time I am there. But it’s never boring to be in Times Square ♥️
D
This is always full of sights to see including the Broadway installment we got to check out on our most recent trip.
There is a lot of folks here trying to put pocket or scam you so tourists be alert is my best advice but otherwise, enjoy yourselves and take lots of pictures!
Mark Hiscock
Times Square is a symbol of the commercialization of our society.
Everywhere you look is business, from the screens up high showing you ads, to the shops littering the area, to the vendors on the street peddling their knock-off wares, and the entrepreneurial people selling memories in the forms of photos etc.
The screens provide amazing light at night for beauty photos, and some of the folks selling photos streetside really know how to take advantage of this.
It's an amazing area to visit, but it is definately a "been there done that" experience
Vijay Raghavan
Wonderful experience in the iconic place! Despite the chill weather, the place was buzzing with activity. Giant size live screens, vibrant colours around and cartoon characters entertaining the kids, there were so many photo ops. Very sad that we missed Maestro Ilayaraja on the giant screens by just a day😔 …
Gisse Rodz.
Love the experience. Lots of lights, buildings, artists doing their "shows" and places to eat. A lot of diversity enjoying with others. If you are a people person and would like to take some good pictures this is your Go.
Marc Bains
I mean common, it's Times Square. You can't go wrong. Lively as ever. Bright lights, vibrant atmosphere, and ecentric people. A must visit when in Manhattan.
Demetrios Mina (Jimmy Mina)
Wow! Times Square Ny City! So many Memories! I was in Times Square On New Years a few times! Just Crazy! Was in Manhattan Shopping 🛍 Just recently And all I can say is go to Ny City and just shop in Times Square! Shops everywhere! Restaurants Everywhere! I love the Pizza and just eating from the Food stands on the street. Love ❤️ the Atmosphere! No place like it in the world! Just Amazing!

Time Square! My favorite place in New York City! It’s always crowded; however, if you come here at 3-5 am. There’s not too many people and you can take pictures at places you like. I’ve been here about 8 times. I’ve been here at night, at midnight, after the New year celebrations (around 3 am) I’ve drive my car in here at midnight and wait for the sunset. It was just amazing! 10/10⭐️
Bee Hill
Time Square is always electric. It’s not the big animated screens that make it so as much as the people. I never saw anyone in a bad mood there. I hear so many different languages being spoken every few steps. Everyone has their cell phones out snapping pictures. There are plenty of street shows and costume characters. Bring some cash if you want to pose with them or tip them. Maybe you’ll get lucky and see someone famous. Stay in the crosswalks and obey the crossing signals. During these Covid times bring your vaccination card with you. You’ll need it to have a sit down meal.
Hari Swaroop
Amazing place. NY's most popular tourist attractions. This place during the night is filled with bright lights and skyscrapers with digital billboards, it is very impressive to watch. The place always has huge crowds and tourists. It is the heart of Manhattan.
Lynette Smith-Maxie
I had one of the best times of my life at Times Square. I will most definitely be going back. The food is good, the different department stores, seeing people of different nationalities. I can't wait to go back there are so many things to see in Times Square you can't see them all in one day. I would most definitely recommend Times Square.
sky Craft
Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment center, and neighborhood in Midtown Manhattan, New York. It is formed by the junction of Broadway, Seventh Avenue and 42nd Street
Overall a great experience, though be prepared to spend a bunch of money and see some. crazy stuff happen
Shah Md Nasiruddin
Times square has the vibe of enchanting beauty always. People never get bored when come to this place. This place symbolizes " the city never sleeps". You find restaurants, shopping center, museums, theaters everything around this area. This is a jem for New York City!!
Jan Michaelis
We walked through Times Square late in the evening. There were people everywhere. There were fantastically large video billboards. It was an amazing sight for the eyes.
Md. Saleh Akram Bhuiyan
I dont know why the hell people go there. But it feels great seeing a busy road. That's all.

To get best phone pics, best timing is sunset time, when the sky keeps some light. Otherwise, great energy spot around the clock.

Ok - so everyone should absolutely experience NYC as a right of passage if nothing else. But, it's just not for me. Dirty, stinks, homeless everywhere, people puking right beside you. But, I am not a city girl and I know that. I'm used to my space and not so many people. It's an experience to be sure, just one best in small doses in my personal opinion.
Alessio Zuccotti
There are no words to describe Times Square. It is simply fascinating. You are dazzled by the light of LEDs both during the day and at night. It is definitely worth a visit to spend time admiring the billboards. If you're lucky you'll find a place either on chairs with tables (a bit dirty) or on the steps.
Lola C
NYC is a place we all should visit. Great restaurants, Broadway shows, spectacular architecture, museums and so much more. Most people walk to get around but there are cabs, subways, buses and Ubers. Now that the holiday is around the corner, check out the Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center, go see the Rockettes at the Radio City Music Hall, the beautiful holiday store displays, St Patrick Cathedral or just try some street food. Go ahead and plan your trip & enjoy this beautiful city that has so much to offer.
Q Nader
The most wonderful place in NYC people who work there are so nice and friendly, there is a lot of activities to do and the best places to take a memories photos without being worried about your camera quality,
Özkan Özkoldaş
It's a magical place. It is mesmerizing and captivating. You can spend hours just sitting there and staring lights. You don't want to leave that place. I loved every second of it.
Colin Erskine
What a crowded s*** show of people all over the place. Definitely made sure to have my valuables hidden away, and unfortunately a few places were closed. I wish they were open but also people were kind of rude and that really wasn't the New York experience I was hoping for.
Christopher Andrés Núñez
Where can you find Elmo, Batman, Boba Fett, the Naked Cowboy, Optimus Prime, Dora the Explorer, Rocket Raccoon, a DeLorean, Mario and Luigi, and get a taco, a churro, a frap from Starbies and maybe drop in to see Mrs. Doubtfire, those dudes in “Hamilton” or Simba from “The Lion King”?
You guessed it. Nowhere else besides Times Square, baby.
I’ve never been to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. but I’ve always wanted to try Jenny’s Surf and Turf. Maybe in 2022.
Jim Wagner
What's there to say? It's the melting pot of New York City. We visited, we viewed, we shopped, we were tourists. If you've never been here I recommend it highly. It's definitely worth seeing once.
Abu Hasan
Amazing Place where 24 hours are same! Thousands visitors around the glove enjoying there! Great experience
Altaf Haque
Times Square is one of New York City's most popular tourist attractions, as it's the epicenter for all things media and a famous New Year's Eve venue. A stroll through the area—with its bright lights and skyscrapers plastered with digital billboards—is pretty impressive
Shae J
Such a beautiful place to see. You must go at night to get the full NYC experience with all of the bright lights. Many shops and restaurants along the way. If you have kids there’s a M&M world to visit.
abdulrahman alhusaini
Amazing place in the heart of Manhattan you should not visit NY without passing thru time square area
Cindy Backman
Time square is such a busy place. It's especially fun to see durng the holidays when there are extra gift shops set up and there are added lights and decorations. Tons of people were out even though it was really cold.
Str8 Country
Plenty to do, food everywhere, all types of floral aromas (🎄🚬)in the air & entertainment. Parking sux usually $40-50 before midnight to get close. Defiantly a must! …
Namrata Sengupta
Times Square is full of life each time I visit this place. The big hoardings, flashing brand videos and advertorial invite you to see them for sure. I enjoy exploring the place and shopping too on this belt.
Mike F
A very interesting place to visit, from the noise, people, shows and restaurants. Although I don't think I'll ever feel I'll need to return for a second visit. :)
Dana Bernacki
This was my 1st time visiting Time Square and it was definitely an experience. Loved people watching! There are so many unique characters. Every store you could think of is there so its great for shopping. Just watch out cause seems like everyone has their own hustle.
S Kemp
Times Square is all you expect it to be. Busy, bustling and ballsy!!!
Loved every minute felt safe and actually chatted to many other visitors. It was amazing.
The only thing that let it down on this visit were the "weed" vans which park and sell their goods. This seems to invite some unsavoury customers???
Meenakshi Darak
Crowded as expected but it was such a great place!
All soughts of places to dance, dine in, shop etc., are close by so if you can walk around easily for 2-5 miles wouldn't suggest to move around here in cars.
Just walk in the city and enjoy the lights🤩🌆
Suresh Jayaraman
This place has its charm with the crowd! Exellent Atmosphere if you are a crowd loving one. There is something happening all the time. Those huge advertisement boards are amazing to watch.
This place is electric and you Will never get board if you are a crowd loving person. ❤️
There is no time-bound in Time Square. You get great vibes only and you will have great time!
A must visit if you are in NYC.!
Mahal143
When in NYC gotta go to TimeSquare. We went on Sunday so not too many people. Subway is easily accessible. Naked Cowboy was still there!
Rd Baron
Amazing site to see, since I'm not from an area like this. The buildings were massive, and beautiful. Going to the top of the Empire State Building was an amazing experience that everyone should see. Taking the Sub-train was a fun experience.
Definitely a place worth seeing.. Go and get the full experience! It's worth it!
Chetan Rao
This is the Heart of New York.....Every evening the entire place is lit with digital boards and lot of people come to see the displays...Awesome place to be after 7pm.
Rab Tanjim
They quote New York as “The City Never Sleeps”. This can be understood in real if someone visits Times Square. Maybe the shops are closed but yet they are well lit and there are people on the street every now and then.
Liliana varela
As busy as it gets! Always. This is a timeless spot in the City that never sleeps! So much fun so much to see such a melting pot. You’ll never know if its noon or midnight here! Loved it
Jose Varghese
Times Square still got the charm!!!! It’s a must visit in the evening, screens get better every year. Have some great shopping options for all budgets. You will not be disappointed spending an hour around the square.
Larbi Mouedden
Yes, it is a tourist trap, yes it is crowded and not for everyone. But Times Square is such an iconic part of New York. No visit to NYC should be without a stop at times square.
We always stay in the heart of times square Everytime we visit NYC. It is a central location, no shortage of food, shopping or entertainment options. it is also safe thanks to the omnipresence of NYPD 24/7.
Norbert De Freitas
My favourite place in New York city to be at any time of the year, summer winter, spring or fall. It's the intersection of the world, you can see people of every ethnicity, class and creed converged into one space. Truly a culture shock Everytime. Bright lights dominates the streets day and especially at night. Food and from the vendors is good. Be entertained by costumed characters that can be found everywhere in time's square Manhattan. Such a great place I love it!
Chansopheak Tum
Such a tourist location but always great! If you love the big city and bright lights and are in NYC then Times Square is a must. Was extremely clean when I was there last weekend of Sept.
Rasheed Bennett
Time square is beautiful! A lot of walking is required and I would advise to carry water although you can pretty much by food and drink every 300 feet with all the stores and food trucks around. You will find alot of seats in certain places as well. Definitely a beautiful experience and you will no doubt have a good time if you visit.
Powerful Organics
The kids and I have such an amazing time at the tree lighting ceremony in Times Square. The place was so lit up with people from all cultures and places. It’s sooooo much things to do and experience with all proper protocols implemented. We had such a great time eating street food, watching the street performers had us all laughing.Times is really the heart of New York City and I am so happy to have my kids experience the same joy that was once felt my me as a kids growing up in the Big Apple. We was so blown away by being featured on FOX NEWS, wow in a New York minute our lives change. I can’t wait to go back and take the kids ice skating. Overall we can say “WE LOVE NEW YORK”
Shaniece Perkins
First time at Times Square. It was definitely alot of people here. It was very hot as well. Had a great time!
J Wood
Very impressive with advertisements all over the place. Cool stores! Interesting people to see, at times incredibly busy depending on day/time.
Ravneet Toor
Times Square defines new York city. The magnitude of this place can only be realized in person. A must to do when in NYC
Chris
Epic! Definitely all that was expected and more. Covid is ending and the crowds testify. Only thing is that there were loads of people. Felt a bit unsafe. But totally Epic!
Deb bhattacharya
Beware of scams. If u click photos with spiderman costumed people etc then you'd have to pay. People will try to hand over DVDs to you and then ask you for money. So you gotta be careful about various scams that are prevalent in times Square. But overall it's a very touristy place and a must visit. Don't forget to go to hard Rock cafe and Krispy creme donuts!
Rajesh Thiyagarajan
Highly regarded tourist place in New York. 24/7 people will be around. Early morning the gallery is closed for cleaning. Large Public gathering is very common.
Malia Witherspoon
This place doesnt sleep for sure. It doesnt matter what time of the day or night that you are there, it's always busy. Hence it's the city that never sleeps
KJ Southall
What can I say? It's Times Square. The first time you come it's disorienting, there's no other place like it in the world. It's so full of light and life and music. Then each other time to come it's just amazing. Watch out for your wallet though, and have dinner common sense. But see the spectacle, there's nothing else like it on earth..
Rujuta Mhaskar
Amazing place to experience what man made beauty looks like. A proper commercial centre with variety of brands around. Loved the Disney store that's there. Place is always crowded . People wait to see the time mapped on the square. Fantastic experience.
Nicole's Fun and Learning Family Child Care
NYC was definitely lit!!! Great experience staying at a Hotel for a few days in Time Square, walking around in Time Square, at Central Park, and Brooklyn Bridge. I've been there plenty of times for day trips. 3 weeks ago and yesterday was my first time experiences the night life.
It rained two times I was there and it was no fun! :-(
I must mentioned about the changes that occurred over the last few weeks since last my visit. When I was there on yesterday most places are now checking vaccination cards and temp checks. Must wear a mask as well. None of that was happening just 21/2 weeks ago.
I was going to Madame Tussauds and they are checking vaccination cards. :-(
I could get in but not the person I was with so I end up not visited the museum. 😭
infinite gaming
I'm not sure you know this but - it's wicked busy!!! LoL at first I didn't understand why there are bleachers in the middle of the square. We visited 3 days before the parade so are they there 24/7 or just for the holiday? Anyways it is an experience, like a heard of antelope in the African plains, a sea of heads bobbing back n forth. All sizes, shapes, ethnicity's and colors on a walkabout with an organized but yet chaotic beat. Crossed off my bucketlist now ✔️
Fatma Nurshuma Shalawat
Times Square is very crowded, so please expect to spend more time to get a nice moment for your photo 😍 …
Jamie Macbrien
This was my first time here amd it was beautiful in a different kind of way. Lots going on even at midnight.
Justin Daniels
Time Square is a must see while in NYC. There is something for everyone and plenty of places to eat or get a drink.
The street performers make the walk well worth it and interact with the crowd. The atmosphere is like no other on this side of the country and always enjoy heading out while I am in town.
Kevin Titley
Once in a lifetime time experience. Everyone must go visit once. Shamas deli. Joe's pizza. Highly recommend
HelpsLab Social
A place on the planet that is always full of crowds.. one can find street food stalls nearby to have a taste of new york foods
There is a famous chain of krispy Kreme doughnuts here
Jeff Hung-Yen Lin
Too many tourists, no much good food there. Unless you go for broadway show, or specific plan there, don't go. Watch out for your personal belongings when you go there too.
Donna Behan-Flores
There is so much to see in NYC and times Square is one of the places to see if your a first time tourist but don't waste all your time there, don't be afraid to use the subway and see the rest of the City. Use Google maps and you can use the subway easily. Eat at Tony's, chicken Alfredo while your there. Stay at Luma hotel, nice and affordable, easy access to everything. They staff is amazing and makes the stay the best.
Karen Liu
Lots and lots of people, many nice stores to stroll into for air conditioning, extremely lively spot in Manhattan

Times Square is an iconic destination that you must visit while in NYC. Lots of lights everywhere, plenty of places to shop and eat. Its beautiful especially at night when everything is lit
Chris Raggio
Too much peddling They all seem to have their hand out Give the tourist a Bit of Room Don't give you enough time to breathe they're always pushing something in front of you asking you for money Other than that Nice place to visit
chris gilmore
Fantastic place. Very vibrant and also very crowded. Lots to see and also do
amit shah
One must visit the most happening place in New York specially evenings to late night lots of excitement shopping and full of lights

Sensory Overload! Non stop sights, sounds & smells. A great place to people watch, eat & shop. An overall positive experience.
Be aware while walking & beware when walking by the specified location for Costumed Characters. Some of them will grab you & attempt to pull you into their area as you pass by! Elsa was particularly grabby. Alarming!

One of my favorite places in New York it’s always lit here . Popular place to hangout even better during the holidays my favorite time of the year it’s always bright here even at 12 midnight it also have great places to go eat at and so much to do here. They recently brought a big Ferris wheel to time square who’s is very popular at this point it’s only gonna be here for a few so I suggest you enjoy or come and visit it before it’s gone. It’s only $20 and worth it if it’s you first time in New York I assure you that you won’t be disappointed if your ever in New York this is your #1 place to come
sugandhi seth dilawari
Best time to go in evening when it's lit up. There are shopping areas, food places, Music and fun stuff all packed in one place
Rich Tea
Not the place to be if you don’t like crowds. It is packed with street performers and other things. Best at night but the screens are on 24/7
Tommy Taylor
Times Square has changed a lot it seems since my last visit 20 years ago. Crowded but easy to get around. Costume characters and guys with large snakes walking around.
Lots of kids around but never saw the Singing Cowboy.
Daniela Logroño
This place is a must for everyone, you have to see it at least once. I lucked out because I went during the pandemic so the place was pretty much empty, which is a rare find. Great for taking pictures and you can go pretty much at any time of the day.
Sahra Kirk
Times Sq: Awesome; unique; quirky (and busy). Evenings are MUCH better as the lights and adverts pop out! You have to go!
M&M world is brill.
Dino Rodriguez
There's really not much to say about Times Square: It's crowded, loud, bright but still very dirty, overly priced merchandise and restaurants, did we say it was crowded? Tourist from all over the world con he here to see the lights and feel the New York vibe but it can be short lived... Then it'll be time to move on.
BRIAN MANDEL
TIME SQUARE What an experience there's alot to see and do. We parked at the hotel parking garage and went everywhere via foot or cab. There's also bikes, bike taxi service and the subway. Although Times Square is amazing this place will test your patience. Almost everything or anything you do will have a long wait and everywhere is overcrowded. Even with that I had the time of my life. It definitely takes more than a week if you want to check out everything New York has to offer.
Alden
I have been to Times Square before but when I visit it is always like a new experience.
Suzy Chun
This review is about safety and cleanliness of Time Square. There are NYPD cops on almost every corner of the blocks which I felt safe as a first time tourist in NYC. However, at night time, street sellers sell a lot of bad stuffs. The streets are mostly dirty and smelly. Too many homelesses and pee and throw-up smell. Overall, it was fun experience, lots of tourist and lots of things to see and eat. Broadway show is a must!
Andrew Wainhouse
Enjoying the sites, sounds and smells of times Square.
Interesting place, somewhere as a tourist I had to visit.
Ata Louka
My experience at the times square is that i have never experienced yet something like that.
This is the times square whatever you write is not enough
Just a small note the food trucks and the pretzels are just very commercial and not tasty, the ones i tried at least i know not all of them.
Daun
I love times square whenever I visit..of course its crowded with all the tourists and so much traffic but I expect that since it's one of the world's most popular places to visit.. I always love to see the lights in the city and love times square no matter how many times I visit. ❤
Bas Schilders
Great place but I was expecting more lights. Quite a bit of construction going on on some of the buildings with what looks like more lit up billboards so maybe in 6 months or so there will be more lights. Some of the displays are impressively 3d.
Stanley Jue
The place is very exciting! There's a lot to see! Many places to shop! But the best time to really enjoy it is night time where all the displays and video screens are all lite up. You will spend almost 5 to 6 hours walking up and down and still need at least two days and nights to really get everything in.
Matthew Trimas
Definitely a great experience. Tons of things to look at, to go explore and go do! Got to see some street performances which drew in huge crowds to see it. Saw some musical performances and much more while walking around. Tons of options for food from food trucks, the Hershey store, m&ms store and way more!
Daniel Nguyen
2 stars during the day, 10 stars at night. If you're new to NYC, I'd visit once in the day and that's it. Otherwise, be sure to experience during the evening to really see TS light up the night sky.
Manny Claassens
Time Square is awesome and best visiting at night to see all the neon signs.
Victor Rodriguez
Very high pedestrian traffic at all hours! Tons of places to visit and the views for your insta!
Kandy Thongsongkrid
I Love Times Square and alway enjoy to walk and see people around there. There are many kinds of the activities that people try to make their money, food, stores and see all people take a nice and fancy pictures for their memories and Covid testing. NYPD is there making sure that everyone is safe and now there are beautiful lady officers like the one in the picture. It has more tables and seats around this areas. People walk with and without masks. #ilovenewyork
nipun marhatha
Awsome place to hang around with multi brands. You can all buildings covered with various banners. On weekends you can expect huge crowd with many stunts being performed on the same street. You can try luxury cuisines as well.
Cheikh Ndiaye
Lol I guess Time Square is self explanatory. A great place for tourists to visit though :)
Vaibhav Shukla
Incredible Experience, the street is alive at all times. True representation of one world as people across the world are present here.
Munmun Shah
The most happening place. You get to a variety of people from different countries.
Ana Maria C. S.
Amazing place!!! One cafeteria will be wonderful, there is anyone.
Lochan Acharya
I liked everything with people to lights. Just didn't like that it was crowded to just move. There was some street performance too so check them out as well. You get to see some people dress up as iron man or something like that , take a photo with them. It's one of the good place to visit but not to stay longer.
Asir Faisal
I would recommend going through the day but also at night as the lights are amazing! It's a great tourist attraction, lots going on but also a good variety of shops and restaurants. It's completely different at night time and all lit up it's just fantastic. However, it is extremely busy at one stage we were at a standstill in a crowd as there's so many people! We came across market stalls one day here but think that may be the weekend only. Definitely worth a visit.
Christina Graber
Busy but neat to experience. Great food and street shows and vendors.
CMH
Bright and busy.
This is a place to visit, but I'm not sure what you do when your there
Abdul Malik
No matter what time you come, the vibe here is very amazing , lighting , big screens, tourists, pictures these are all the things you’ll see when you come to time square, I would recommend coming to this place any time after sunset. Is way better than the day time.
Soumen Sikder Shuvo
It is a bustling and vibrant hub of activity, known for its bright lights, billboards, and bustling crowds. The iconic landmark is a must-visit for tourists, offering a unique blend of entertainment, shopping, and dining options. The energy and excitement of the area is unmatched, making it a popular spot for visitors and locals alike. Whether you're watching a Broadway show, grabbing a bite to eat, or simply taking in the sights and sounds, Times Square is an unforgettable experience.
Nico Samneil Salado
It is just so lively, messy and everything you want to feel can be felt here! As they have said, you never have really been to new york if you didn’t stopped by Times Square. Magical on its own busy city way.
Honey Di
Bright billboards and lights at night. Amazing exprience.
Peter P. Journey
It’s the first time in Times Square. Surrounding by the city lights and people around the world. Enjoy the street performers and breezes through the night. This city never sleep.
Shirley Perez Anel
So far I have been in NYC around 5 times and always stay in Manhattan. Times square is without a doubt the #1 choice of things to do in Manhattan. I love walking in the street, seeing the street variety of shows, taking pics, shopping, having a coffee, finding a great restaurant for dinner where I can enjoy the great view... lots of things to do and enjoy during my trips. I have visited this place in multiple seasons, but it is always enjoyable.
Anam Sikander
Best place to live to shop and for crazy people best nite life
Anjanette Stark
What can I say that hasn't already been said? A New York City staple that should not be missed!
Tonya Johnson-Jenkins
Stopped in Times Square and saw so many sites! The lights, the stores, the vendors, the non-stop activity was fantastic to be a part of even if only for a minute. Went through the M&M store and later saw a video with dancers being filmed while in the plaza passing through. So much to see, eat do and take in. Can’t wait to come back to see a show one day.
Annakae Joseph
We enjoyed being there, it's crowded.
jay black
The most happening place on earth! Everything including the best theaters are within a short walking distance.. great restaurants ... People from all over the world it's like Disneyland without a fee.
Chris Hovell
Loved it here. Crazy, wacky people about. Neon light advertising boards everywhere. Police dotted about gives you a sense of safety but it was very busy and there are a few 'sellers' and vagrants dotted about to. Didn't cause us any bother though.
Leela Ragoonath
Breath taking amazing Very nice place to be for Christmas the atmosphere is just plain beautiful
Bright Little Stars English Centre
Stayed in a hotel here for 2 weeks. Very shocking and amazing place. The LED lights are spectacular. Extremely busy at night but from 1am - 11am is really quiet. Nearly no people there at all so you can get great b roll between these times.
11pm-11am nearly everything is closed. 99% of everything is closed. Only the street food is open.
So New York is the city that sleeps. Haha.
Packtraverller
Times Square is truly an experience that can not be put into words. Time Square is constantly changing. It is the ultimate place to people watch, which in itself provides hours of free entertainment. Often, there are actual real entertainment, art exhibits. You may find a cowboy walking around in his underwear carrying a guitar or women walking around top less with body paint on.
It is also a melting pot of people from all around the world 🌎 It is rare that I go into NYC and do not at least walk through Times Square.
Anthony Wills
Love this hotel, good sized rooms, lots of facilities, bar cafe etc, restaurant. Friendly welcome staffed well. Lovely breakfast to suit All tastes. Queue managed well. Excellent position for theatres and shopping.
Jasper Lucas
This was the first time my wife and I visited the Brooks Atkinson Theater, and our experience was positive. We were slightly late for the show, but our entry was quick and hassle-free.
Once we were inside, the ushers were very helpful. An usher on the lower level directed us to the mezzanine, where our seats were licated.
When we got to the mezzanine, the usher there looked at our tickets and instructed us to wait until the music stopped to be seated. When she looked at our tickets, realizing our seats were located in the corner, she told us she was going to try and put us in better seats. After the music stopped, she instructed us to follow her, and she seated us in the center, directly facing the stage! She told us we could stay there unless the people who'd purchased the seats showed up, which they never did. The show was great and, thanks to the usher, so were our seats!
Brian Dietz
Time square was very fun. Always something to look at. Don't get pictures with characters unless you want to pay. Also if the street performers choose you to join them don't do it. Just go and enjoy what is going on around
Bea Eros
Love it, nice spot in the city centre for a walk, ans shopping
ben stubbs
We had a lot of fun lots of cool things to see and do and great stores and restaurants.
Andrea Murphy
To be honest it just a square with steps nothing special as the last time we visited I thought as it was the week before Christmas Times Square would have been decorated as well which was a bit of a leg down. Other than that the shops are quite good round the place and Ray's pizza.
Tiffany Baker
Being a visitor I can honestly say I loved the street vendors. The food I tried was on point and some of the street performers were amazing to watch. The only bad thing I have to say is that some are incredibly pushy. I had a group of people in costume literally take my phone out of my hand and use it to take pictures and then bagged me for tips so I deleted the pictures and walked on. They quickly moved on to another couple that literally looked terrified. Other than that it was interesting.
Monik Jones
Super fun. Alot of people everywhere. Great time walking around and enjoying the sights. Definitely will be returning. Alot of police on site. Felt safe and had a wonderful time
Atha Rose
Great place to visit, there is a lot to see and people from around the world, lots of food choices, if you speak Nee Yorkers will speak back, saw Lion King on Broadway, going back next month to take bus tour around the city, New York New York
GAURAV SAINI
One thing that that you would realize while in New York is that there is a magic in its air which shall leave you moonstruck and completely in awe of the city. Ask any local about the feeling, and you will be reassured about the impact that the big apple has on people. It is expansive and welcomes everyone with open arms. The yellow cabs, the skyscrapers, the swarm of people on the sidewalks and excellent food make you ditch your sleep and hit the streets at once. Frankly, it is impossible to visit every place of NY till you make a lot of such trips back to the city. However, we are listing eight out of the unlimited things that you could do while in the city.
Taking selfies at Times Square
Yes, it sounds very touristy, but the place is etched on our minds with all those innumerable cameo appearances that Times Square made on TV. You shall be greeted with yellow cabs, a large crowd of people, fellow tourists, street performers, large LED billboards to acquaint you well with the city that never sleeps. Recipe for a perfect night adventure!
Discovering Central Park
While in New York, you will indeed be lured by another landmark of the city- 693 acres of green area in the middle of the city with artificial meadows, lake, hillocks, forests and also a castle. You could spend your day relaxing and exploring it on your own or also hire guided tours of the whole park.
A Trip to American Museum of Natural History
Even if you aren’t much into history, you still aren’t going to regret visiting this museum for knowing some exciting details about human culture, the universe, wildlife, dinosaurs, etc. through various exhibitions. The museum is vast and has seven sections. So make sure you have the map to guide you swiftly through the place.
Indulge in gastronomical delights at Michelin Star Restaurants
Foodies are in for a treat of their lives if you try one of the Michelin Star restaurants to have the finest dining experience. If you have the budget, this food is something that you won’t find at traditional fine dining eateries.
Go Kayaking on Hudson River for free
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t done it before, you could add a dash of thrill to your afternoon with some kayaking experience. You could opt for expert lessons if you are interested. And you won’t spend a penny on it.
Barış Okyay
If Times Square is special it is only for advertising boards. That's realy boring place I recommend you to prefer somewhere else
Andrea Capuano
The heart of New York City, with its bright stores, souvenir shops, and billboards, lit up at all hours of the day. Thousands of people flock to this magical place, but it is the most well-known tourist part, so be prepared for huge crowds and lines to even enter the stores. It is, however, a must-see place to fully understand the hustle and bustle of this magical city.
Shannon Severin
Fun but dirty, very smelly. The city needs to power clean the sidewalks here. Lots to see and do though. I felt like there were so many people yet no security( police) which made me feel nervous to be there too.
Id go again but id wear a safe bag
Gippy Meel

An iconic tourist and local favorite. This is the center of all things bright and entertaining. Hundreds of displays and tens of thousands of people in the area gather and past by the central area to see all the latest ad trends. Just as it is in the movies and tv.
Jennylane
If you would like to be in the place where a lot of movies have been filmed, then go. It is a secure place, a lot of tourists and police officers to keep the place safe. It has a nice stairs where you can take a better picture with Times Square in the back.
Ralph Gomez
My 1st time going to Times square with my little family an we loved it! Kids were looking everywhere wanted everything, it was just a blast!
Spent $57 on 3 hotdogs a burger an 3 drinks. Besides that rip-off we will return definitely just in the summertime
Gregory M Simmons CPO
Atmosphere! Lots of typical New Yorkers + Tourists from around the Globe. Great place to hear 50+ different languages and a plethora of dialects, merely by walking around. You can usually witness a “New York hustle” going down !
Beulah Ramprasad
It was a crazy experience to see night life. All sort of talent and beautiful art around the city!
Andre Lima
A lot of people smoking a lot of different stuff around (legal?).
Always busy as usual, and the displays are great at night. Not sure if the kids enjoy that much.
Abhay Rawal
Time Square is a chaos of billboards, tourists, and neon lights. It's like the Vegas Strip had a baby with the circus and they raised it in the middle of Manhattan. The crowds are insane, and the billboards and neon lights are a feast for the eyes but also a migraine waiting to happen. But, if you're in the market for a Times Square-themed t-shirt or a hot dog from a street vendor, this is the place for you. Plus, the people-watching is top-notch, so bring your sunglasses and a sense of humor
Joaquin Pabon
Amazing view. I bought the express ticket, but not necessary at all. There's no such difference between 84ft and 102nd floor.
John Hendrikx
I loved it. The only negative part is the number of construction sites. When reviewing it from a distance it does not invite me to visit some shops. It certainly minimized the fun.
Surrey Cyclist
Busy, hustle, bustle, shopping, tourists, noise, people, activity and entertainment, food and restaurants and crowded. If these appeal then Times Square is for you ...
Gagandeep Singh
I love all the action, the bright lights, billboards, surrounding buildings, marvelous people.. there is an electricity and excitement all around. There are many fun stores all around it, theaters, Broadway etc..you can go shopping, dine out or get some pretty cool souvenirs. I've visited this magnificent place in winters and summers, however the best time to visit is 31st Dec eve.. one of the best place ..I can bet..
Alicia Chhin
Very busy and touristy area. Very cool to see the bright billboards and lights on a day and night. Lots of interesting shops, restaurants, and takeout places found throughout Times Square. You'll find something for everyone. Subway entrance is easily accessible. Careful with your bags and with street performers soliciting tips throughout. Don't take photos or videos if you're not willing to tip them.
Yusuf Ahmed
Amazing to come visit this beauty once in a while. The flashing neon lights look best at night. Lots of people and lots of beautiful sights to see. I totally recommend.
C A W
Amazing place but so so busy. We were crammed in like sardines in a can. Not a place for someone who doesn't like enclosed spaces. Difficult to sight see as your having to watch were you walk due to the amount of people.
alexander valaris
A must stop in the big apple. Can get crowded during the holiday time. Lots of stores and restaurants and the sidewalk has people trying to sell you everything from a c.d. to their kid. Close to Rockefeller center and much more. The paparazzi dog and rabbit statue are cool as well.
Benedek
Hustle and bustle of the Big Apple.
Great to see it, but not much to do here in all honesty, especially on a budget
Leo Solorio
It's Times Square...you have to stop in and stare at the big screens, but take the time to take in the city. Also, this is one of the places where it's ok to be super tourist-like and not be judged by locals. 😉
Just be mindful of others and watch where you stop and stand so you're not in the way of others making their way through.
Roshell
Crowded but the atmosphere was good. Nice place to shop. Better views at night
Farooq Quadri
It was crazy place, very busy just like New Year eve. Very impressive, better than any other big city in USA. Lots of ethnic food places. Halal food small trucks are all over the place.
Lemuel Raz
It is what it is, yes it's a tourist trap, but it is still iconic and must see destination. Stop on the red steps in the center of it all and really take it in for a few minutes. And those few minutes are all you'll need for a lifetime, cuz the fight through the surrounding crowded streets is not worth a second visit unless absolutely necessary.
Ben Straw
We visited New York over the New Years period so it changed daily with the barriers etc running up to NYE. It’s a busy place throughout most of the day and on New Years Eve it becomes totally locked down. Expert tip, if you want to get close to Times Square on New Years Eve, book a restaurant or bar or hotel in Times Square so the police will let you in :) We booked to go to Connley’s and stayed inside until 11.45pm. Although we couldn’t get any closer as the police still stop you, just after midnight they let you in. It’s a fantastic place to visit and certainly one I won’t forgot as lots to see and do. If you go around 5 to 6am in the morning it’s usually not as busy.
Andre Southgate
This place gets a bad rap but to be honest we really liked it. It's bright and garrish but in a good way. We enjoyed it and night and in the day time. Lots of street vendors and flagship stores etc.
David Budhrani (DAVID FASHIONS)
Love this place. Just remember there is a guy who is in Batman costume he loves tips. But when he helps you take photos check before leaving a tip as my all photos came blurry
Anya Levkouskis
Despite being told to avoid it when visiting NYC, I decided to visit and I was not disappointed! You have to see it for yourself. It is very much big bright screens with lots going on around you, but it's cool and something you have to say you've done!
Shona Rollins
Loved it! It was a great place and it truly is the city that never sleeps. You can walk everywhere and the sites are AMAZING. I recommend the Manhattan Bridge tour it’s beautiful at night. A few great places to checkout MadamTussadas and the Broadway shows don’t forget Dave And Buster’s
Deez Nuts
Charging emotions! We are surprised to be in this famous square! You look around and the movement of vehicles and pedestrians is incredible (all day and night). All this energy that the square has is impressive. A huge number of people pass through here every day. From all over the world! Everyone stops here to take photos and videos of the brightest buildings in the world! The whole city is a spectacle. Pleasant, kind and willing people work here, and they are ready to help you.
Jane D.
Not very clean. There is litter, but there's no garbage cans to put trash in. I overall enjoyed Times Square! A beautiful place in the Big Apple!! I went on new years eve, and it was wonderful. For travelers who don't know, you have to have tickets to watch the ball drop/get into the event. We had trouble finding bathrooms because it was very crowded, but that is to be expected. Had a great time at the Square.
Jake Alexander
Great experience being here on New Years. However, I would definitely have a hotel room on Times Square. So you have basic conveniences, like a bathroom.
ChristiAnne Smith
If you enjoy the hustle & bustle of large crowds, noise, and chaos, Time Square is the place for you. Do not pause mid-step for you or risk getting shoulder slammed.
Know where you're going, do not pause, and lean into your destination, and you'll make it out just fine.
aaron 81006
Definitely something to experience. I've always heard that New Yorkers are rude but my experience was the exact opposite.
Everyone was very friendly.
The rats are true tho. They're everywhere.
I haven't figured out the blatant and open sale of knock off bags and Marijuana. They just set it up for you to see and the cops don't seem to mind.
Louise Lyons
Everywhere you look, you notice something different, look again, and there's something new. Huge, impressive, and much better view when the sky is darkening! Hectic, chaotic, and full of life. Just as you would imagine NYC to be!
King
if your a tourist it is the first place you should go, One of the most famous places in NY, It is the heart of the busiest city in the world.
Amazing sights with the massive TV screens, This area looks very nice at night.
great diversity of people.
Gigantic stores.
One of the best places to go for a walk in New York and Central Park cannot be miss.
Unique place in the world.
Paul yates
Lovely sights. Be aware it gets rammed at night. Best time is very early morning. We went every morning about 7 or 8 am.
Judy Talks
It's highly recommended to visit the Times Square on New year day. Second best is , during the night. We visited this place during the day. Still worth it.
Glenn Rowlinson
An absolutely amazing place! It's incredibly busy no matter what time you go, but there's always something going on and the atmosphere is buzzing. Also lots of great shops and restaurants.
Lyndsie Murphy
When I first arrived to the city, the lights and colors of time square were overwhelming. There is a lot going on at once here. This may sound naive, but before visiting nyc I didn’t realize how almost exclusively touristy this part of town is. I mean, it’s all still very cool to see and be around. At night, the scene looks very futuristic. You feel like you’re in a movie set in 2050 or something. Maybe this is obvious for most readers, but there aren’t really local restaurants/bars/shops in Times Square. It’s all chain stuff. Definitely worth seeing and exploring. You are close to so many other cool parts of the city too. Just be careful and don’t go on one of those bike tours... don’t let them talk you into it. I was charged around $60 for about an 8 minute right (misunderstanding, I thought he said he was not going to charge me). I guess that was my naivety and I had to learn the hard way!
Rachana
I still remember my first visit. I was stunned with the vibe, the lights, the crowd. It’s always in an American dream to visit the New York for Times square and it’s skyscrapers.
Always a vibe.
Yes, it is very crowded, be aware of pocket pickers.
There are always new elements added at times square.
When you visit times square do find time for a broadway show.
Careisha Whyte
Great vibe and atmosphere. Very packed with people which means littering. Definitely good for a one time experience but not really interested in going back again.
Miguel Negron
Never a dull moment here! A must do! This where the famous phrase: “Only in New York” comes alive! Great for pictures due to lighting!
Nicolle Trudeau
Ofcourse Time Square is a must if you are in NYC. We ended up not getting there until 1am, but there was still so much life! My favorite part was this incredible street artist. Only $30 per person and takes about 25 minutes for him to draw you.
J Every
How can you really rate Times Square? We were there in March. Cold, wet, rainy, skeet, snow, wind. And still loved it. Thats 5 stars, I guess. Bring lots of money. The food is not cheap.
Paul Buckley
Loud and overwhelming but this should be expected as it is Times Square. Strong 'weed' smell and people openly selling on corners but didn't feel unsafe or anything just not our thing. All the screens are fantastic
Julian A. Wolf
It's as big and shiny as you would expect. Don't go hang out if you don't know what you're doing, and check in advance where you're going if you want to avoid touristy spots.
Buy something random!
Barry Cartlidge
Visited and stayed at a hotel in Times Square. Brilliant vibrant place. Felt safe in the area as there were so many Police patrols on most junctions.
Nate Dondanville
It's a must see if you haven't yet. Wanted to check it out during the holidays and I won't do that again...less space because they are blocking off areas for the ball drop, and sooo many more people than normal.
J Davies
Amazing to see with my own eyes. Surprised by the people in costumes. I did not see the signs of warning, they expect to be paid min $10 for pictures
Lokki Savage
An amazing area to gather & watch performers from all over share their experience with the world😇 there's so many picture opportunity's and shops & all different types of people & things to see, don't just take my word for it, go check out the square yourself, & check out my music!

Times Square is about 2 hours from our home but we go there a few times a year. We love the hustle and bustle of the city. Driving is so much easier than people say. Lots of parking garage within a easy walk to the Square and most are around the same price. We go to the Disney store, M&M, Hershey and always to Rockefeller. Nintendo and FAO Shwartz. Take your time and enjoy the day. No reason to rush around, you'll only go so fast and that's it.
Jess MunZing
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of the lights will inspire you!!!
Yes. The lights WILL INSPIRE YOU!!!
Even when it's jammed packed with people apl around you. The life, hustle and bustle of the city is right here!
Michael Montuori
Reason for four stars. Too many homeless people around. Great experience otherwise. Stores could be a little more helpful for people in need for restroom use. Like pregnant women...
Albert Delgado
It was crazy as usual definitely a must see if you never been there. I am very fortunate to be able to go there anytime. I must say I haven’t been there in about 3 years and it seems like it’s worse with people I mean Jammed packed. Every store with lines wrapped around block very rude people everywhere. I mean would it hurt to say sorry or excuse me??? But again that’s just me. Very cool place to visit if you never been here. One of those things that you can say I was there when you see that small ball drop.. lol

Always a great experience coming here around this time usually, with all the lights and displays in the surrounding areas/blocks. Just a bit grimier than I previously recalled. Very busy and almost chaotic, with the crowds and traffic. Also very very expensive here now...I would go as far as to say ridiculously so! And coming from the UK... we know about expensive! Such a shame, as not sure I'd come back to this part of the States again!
Joseph Olmedo
Had the unfortunate need for tires (pot holes on sunrise hwy) and was lucky to find Lou’s Used Tires! Quick and great service. Will return and recommend!
Meet The Breedloves
Times Square is a phenomenal place. The energy is amazing and the people were helpful. There is food on every corner so be ready to eat.
UJVALA TAWARE
Being an Indian, I am used to seeing roads overflowing with people. I saw them all when I went to Time Square. Very beautiful place. There I got to see amazing ads.
Kuldeep Ghosh
Too crowded with tourists but I think it’s iconic for a reason. As a person, living in city. I don’t go there often but it’s always been a experience visiting Times Square.
A H
really impressive and crowded, but NewYork it's The spot
Caro W
Quite full but amazing to see for the first time.. during New Years many people were waiting for the ball drop, but I have heard it was worth it because there were no fireworks only confetti and time counting down on the screens..
S Brown
Still a good place for tourists, theatres are open, shopping is good, go for the restaurants. I like Carmines. The added pedestrian walkways are a plus as is the reduced street performers.
Anshit Mandloi
Too crowded. It's hyped. Iconic place to definitely visit, but don't have too much expection, it's a billboard jungle. I enjoy some eateries like the juniors cafe on TSQ.
Phillip Houghton
Time square was fab. Hustle and bustle, love it. It was absolutely brilliant. Iconic place. Would love to go back sometime. 👍 …
Tracy Wood
Super safe and clean. Changed a lot from the last time I was there. I know we hear horrible crimes etc about NY. But, we had a great time and did not see any problems throughout the city. ❤️NY
Georgina Swinfen
Great place to just be and soak up the NYC vibe. So much going on, shops, street food with roasted chestnuts, Christmas vendors, restaurants, live entertainment, just be ready to get high on the streets as you walk the weed streets! 🍎🇺🇸🗽💞🌿
D Thompson
Time square is new york city... we had fun, alot to see and do.... police were on almost every corner.... it was semi crowded on a Thursday night, but not uncomfortable... the WORST THING was Marijuana smell, ot almost made me sick..... I loved the subway and train experience... GOOD TIME!
Carla Allen
Lovely experience at the MTV. IT FELT GOOD TO SEE WHAT GOES ON BEHIND THE SCENE ALSO MET SOME WONDERFUL ARTISTS. WE WERE ABLE TO TAKE PICTURES, AND IT WAS AN INTRESTED EXPERIENCE.
Joel Kiess
This is a tourist stop everyone should experience once. It's big, bright, and crowded. Expensive shops, food and pushy people asking for donations and promotions. Once and done!
nam namzz
Went there couple of times. Not a place that I will recommend for new year eve unless you have reservation for the events. Otherwise cool place with a lot of shops and great to experience the night life.
Rajesh Mergu
It's a good place to be and spend time. Very happening place to be and the vide is awesome. No washroom around would suggest to be prepared or drink less liquid.
J M
A lot of hip checking walking through crowds, but still fun and exciting. And absolutely have to give credit to NYPD for being friendly and more than willing to offer assistance
evangeline
First time and was even more than expected. Prefer late nights over days as I'd rather not deal with traffic. Fast pace is nice but the calm is more enjoyable.
Chanchal
Liked the architect of the buildings here, energy this square creates in crowd and gives a chance to people show their artistic side. Big banners and lights all made this place great. If you visit during pandemic must wear mask and try to maintain distance as much as possible.
Horacio Dortona
Iconic Times Square famous for many reasons but primarily to watch the ball drop and welcoming the new year is and I think will always be a singular place with all it activity and bright bill boards that identifies New York City.
María Aurora Castaño Patiño
I love my experience in this place...it's amazing to watch the buildings, lights and shows at the Street. Many tourists enjoying all stores around.
James Butterworth
Iconic location at the heart of New York, as you can imagine it will be very busy, but feel very safe, lots going on around you, something to see in every direction. At the moment there is a small Christmas market, but the prices are very high compared to other markets.
Colleen
What can you say: always a stop worth taking just to people watch! This time we had a small video taken with the rotating light, was only $20.
Jacob Vandenburg
So cool to finally see this place in person! I've seen on so many movies, shows, and the ball drop and it's always looked so awesome! Seeing it in person did not disappoint. Very fascinating and bright!
Andy Dorf
Times square is a cool vibe with so many people, walking around speaking so many different languages. It's just a fun place to be in the city.
Paul MacDonald
Super busy but an essential place to see in NYC
Sasha Reid LilFlower
Am always calm when i go to Manhattan. The lights all around is such a beauty. The city that never sleeps that's what they say. People are always everywhere
Amarbold Batzorig
The most urban place you can see in New York City. See it at night after the holiday rush. The store selection can be hit or miss though as there are better places to shop elsewhere.
T Dawg
Witnessed a robbery within 3 minutes of entering the vicinity of Times Square. Ok food trucks on every block. Tourist traps and overpriced department stores. Overall amazing experience.
Sheena Youngers
Such an incredible place. It’s everything and more you ever imagined New York tourism to be. Very fun experience 🤩. Definitely recommend checking this out. There’s nowhere else quite like it. …
Amanda
Love Times Square! Must see during both the day and night. The night lights are amazing. Be prepared to be shoulder to shoulder with everyone.
Charlie Shaw
This place is unreal , a must on your visit to NYC , so much going off all the time I love it , never disappointed, so much to do and always and street performers, get down there just watch out for pick pockets
Miss Daisy
This place confirms that this city never sleeps. Very colourful at night. And people seem to be in good vibes. Everyone looks happy. I really love this place and could stay here all day and night. A place to be if you’re visiting New York.
Philip Mattson
It's a big city light show.
Tracy Appia
I can't stand that tourist trap but I was playing tour guide and couldn't avoid it. I can see the attraction though. It's exciting to see through the eyes of a visitor I won't lie. I live in Brooklyn and would rather get poked in my eye with a sharp stick than go there for overpriced food and crowds.
Julian Stubbs
It's a tourist trap that one can simply walk through. So no need to spend too much time - get the pics and move on to see the rest of New York City.
Krishan Kumar Aishpunani
Excellent Mind blowing place. full of Skyscraper building all around. one can spend whole day time here without being bored.
Night at Time square is awesome.Hotels, food and shopping outlets & other shop all around can be seen.
lightning and shops will cheers you during night and evening time. never sleep city of country USA
many food restaurants are there, people from all around the world can be seen here. New York has its own charm. its on 7th Avenue.
many subways are there for commute. Tourist buses run time to time and can be available on spot or online. NJ Transits are available connecting New Jersey. I loved enjoying coming from Ramsay New jersey to Penn Station New York. Overall amazing place i visited in Sep 2010.
Lani Nguyen
Amazing. Beautiful. Fantastic. Make you happy to visit this beautiful and interesting place. You will never ever regret.
Melissa Bennett
Staff is disrespectful, you wait 20-30 mins or a coke and ice cream. Most of time the won't ring you up at register thy make you use the things where you order your own foo then if You don't have credit card or don't wntgo uese credit at fast food place you have to stand in line again to pay cash at register then they get an attitude because you are paying cash and no fountain drinks so you have to pay $1.09 for ice then almost $3 for a drink.
Leo E
A classic location in Manhattan, although highly overrated and overcrowded it still is a must visit location for pictures and to experience the New York crowds. Beware of scammers and Costume characters, some are nice, some will try to haggle you for money, just be aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine. Make sure to check out the main Krispy Kreme location and try their Big Apple theme donut 👌
Ross Chester
Dirty, Crowded, lots of loud cars, and bright LED Screens. Exactly what you'd expect! My wife and I loved it, 5 stars!
Inna Skoroda
It is a very active place with a lot of people around all the time! Famous Red stairs are not always open for publicity, but still nice there, a lot of huge screens.
Randy Czarnetzki
An iconic stop that every one needs to visit when in Manhattan. That being said, the constant harassment from tour bus pitchmen is very annoying. Fremont Street in downtown Vegas is a much better experience.
Margarita Rosa
I was on vacation with my family and we had the best time ever, the lights, decorations and all the places we visited were so beautiful, most of the people were nice considering it was a busy time.
Craig Stewart
Crowded and just a pile of big screens really.. it yea ok it's an experience, and even got dragged into one of the groups of street performers show.. so bit of fun..
Shivkumar Umadi
Of course a place to visit when you come to the "city which never sleeps" and this area is the surely the place that doesn't sleep. Amazing place with huge billboards. Loved each second spent here. It was great to see so many people surrounding this area. Good places to eat as well especially at the street carts with the typical Homeland style of foods. Brilliant!!
Rupsi Raitani
I always feel very happy when I visit times square, surrounded by big buildings and big screens. The place is a vibe, so many beautiful stores nearby to checkout.
Biks Videography
This is the highest visited place in Manhattan. It was a pleasant experience that made it a memorable visit with my family. lights were replaced with oversize LCD screens, and they are brighter than ever. There are as many as 500,000 photos taken every year in this area alone. I really like being at Times Square and just watching time fly. I used to stay in Jersey city and TS was a must go place every weekend. There's lots of couples, families, friends, and photographers that were out late at night too. Times Square never fails to deliver. Times Square is big, bright and unforgettable.
Walk to the top of its red steps. It was nice experience just sitting on the stairs and enjoy. I always used to spend 2 hours there and never felt a single moment of boring. It was a nice experience and must go place if you are planning to visit Manhattan.
Ngo Hai Anh
Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment center, and neighborhood in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. Brightly lit by numerous billboards and advertisements, it stretches from West 42nd to West 47th Streets, and is sometimes referred to as "the Crossroads of the World", "the Center of the Universe", "the heart of the Great White Way", and "the heart of the world".
Arnaud D.
Well. That's obviously a great place to visit because of all the lights and screens. But I must admit it tends to lose its magic with time going. Lights and neon signs left, and screens took their place (was 50/50 not long ago). Old mythical shops disappeared for new tasteless ones. Almost everything closes at 7pm during the week, making Times Square a crowdy place with nothing to do.
It's a nice short time for the eyes, but nothing more now.
The time when Virgin Megastore red neon sign was tilting, Sbarro's at the corner, NYC themed McDonald's with yellow neon sign enlighting the street, was something else.
Now it's Sephora, forever21 and some other "american apparel" stores with ugly windows and advertising screens over them. Looks like an outdoor mall to be honest. Times change.
Syeda Fatima
This place is magic!!! Its beautiful, the crowd, the environment, the buildings, the lights it will take u by, Its surreal. If you happen yo visit during the day, stay for some time and do visit during the night. You have to visit times square if you want to see US in a nutshell. Things to keep in mind, ready to walk. If you have kids grab a stroller for each under the age of 4. Have your cameras fully charged. Parking is a key thing here, we were lucky to get a parking in the time square lane. We went during the covid times in Dec. But generally book your parking and send the address to ur phone just not to get lost. Do grab quick bite and restrooms are way too far. Plan for restroom breaks before you enter downtown. Follow this and Thank me later. Its better to have a pair of jacket with hoodie incase its windy.

Brightly lit at all hours by numerous digital billboards and advertisements as well as businesses offering 24/7 service, Times Square is sometimes referred to as "the Crossroads of the World",[2] "the Center of the Universe",[3] "the heart of the Great White Way",[4][5][6] “the Center of the Entertainment Universe”,[7] and "the heart of the world".[8]
One of the world's busiest pedestrian areas,[9] it is also the hub of the Broadway Theater District[10] and a major center of the world's entertainment industry.[11] Times Square is one of the world's most visited tourist attractions, drawing an estimated 50 million visitors annually.[12] Approximately 330,000 people pass through Times Square daily,[13] many of them tourists,[14] while over 460,000 pedestrians walk through Times Square on its busiest days.[8] The Times Square-42nd Street station has consistently ranked as the busiest in the New York City Subway system, transporting more than 200,000 passengers daily.[15]
Formerly known as Longacre Square, Times Square was renamed in 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the then newly erected Times Building, now One Times Square.[16] It is the site of the annual New Year's Eve ball drop, which began on December 31, 1907, and continues to attract over a million visitors to Times Square every year,[17] in addition to a worldwide audience of one billion or more on various digital media platforms.[18]
Times Square, specifically the intersection of Broadway and 42nd Street, is also the eastern terminus of the Lincoln Highway, the first road across the United States for motorized vehicles.

Another destination on the itinerary hit list, this place is fantastic!! Loads of bright screens and hustle and bustle of the city going on around it..........seems smaller than it looks on tv I thought? But none the less worth a visit.
Be aware during peak times there are a lot of people hassling for pics for money all dressed up as Disney or Marvel characters.
Ryan Young
I love the city. Anytime I get the chance to stop I do. It may look the same 90% of the time but OMG. Something with all the tall buildings, the lights, the different ethnic groups everywhere. It brings true peace no matter what.
Nabil Yousef
Times Square is great, it’s worth waiting for 11.57pm one night to experience the Midnight Moment for three minutes, an art exhibition that is different every month.
Hector RJ
Beautiful and exciting place to visit, but it doesn't feel safe. There are too many people around you and not enough police or security. The city is very dirty and overpriced.
Fav Bal
Iconic! I got lucky and visited when it was not packed with people. I was able to climb up the stairs to the top and stay there for a while with enough personal space.
mk kazi
Happening place. Be careful with the characters if u need pic with them. First ask them than click or else they will charge you extra... It happened with me..
Ram Kumar
This place lives up to its name with all the neon lights and glamour. It's also a perfect example for a tourist trap because this place is filled with people 24/7. There are so many shows, restaurants and activities that can be done at Times Square. The vibe of this place is so energetic. Most people are tourists and very friendly so, you can start a conversation with anyone. The chances of finding people from your city is extremely high. There are cops everywhere taking care of the security so, there's no need to be afraid of anything here. It's best to take your own time to explore the area. You don't have to be a photographer to take amazing photos because this place is very photogenic. All you have to do is smile and pose. I'm glad I had the chance to visit this place. I can now check this place off my bucket list.
HARSH OJHA 4-Yr B.Tech. Chemical Engg.
It's a great place. A little crowded though and it gets quite familiar if you visit more than once. Super expensive though.
itsasham90
Google says it has hours! This is NEVER closed. This is the heart beat of this portion of NYC. Visited many many times. Not just for tourists! I could sit on a bench here for days. FYI during the period I was there (during covid) EVERYONE had a mask on, and I have a large family, people would swing way out around you to practice social distance!
tarun goel
Loved the lighting loved the vibes people and the way it is setup. Definitely it is one of the most desired place to go in world. We have many stores around for unique experience and to eat there are numerous places. Times Square have everything for everyone, from kids to adults and tourists to locals. Right now they have globes exhibits on Broadway which are the crowd puller. Then street performance takes your breath away. Awesome and blossom experience for me. Broadway shows are just round the corner along with Madam Tussauds and Ripley's believe or not museum. They have Hershey's world, M&M world and Disney Store for kids and Irish Pub and clubs for Adults just on the times Square. Very well connected with Subway. Pictures attached will also what i have mentioned. Thanks New York City for the warm and exiting experience.
Peace Dove
It was awesome to be there on 4th July Independence Day Celebration. So much to see and so many people from different places coming out to entertain and to take photos. That is the most beautiful place to be for such celebrations. Very big screens for adverts and shows. Bright lights from the screens illuminated the whole area as it was getting dark. Stores are open 24 hours. Families and loved ones with children on sight seeing, even dogs were brought for sightseeing. Eateries booming with life and overwhelmingly crowded. Places for sales of dresses, cosmetics, houses and office wares boomed. Police security officers were everywhere. So many shows went on. It was indeed so sweet to be there. If you like my reviews give me a 👍🏼Thank you.
madhuri Cabrera
It's a huge tourist attraction place and very crowded that if you dont like crowd , you will not like to go again here. This place really beautiful, full with colorful lights and big advertisements screen everywhere. You can find weirdest things here and a lot of entertaining things going around and everything is over priced in this area.
Khalil Issa
It's fun to visit. Lots going on. Tons of shopping. So many lights and overwhelming but must see if you're in nyc
Nicole Babcock
Not as beautiful like in movie lol. If you have to pee enjoy trying to find a bathroom. If you enjoy making 45 for parking enjoy.
The Me Project
It was everything I expected it to be in terms of looks but I have NEVER seen that much people in my life. I felt overwhelmed and excited the whole time. Wanting to explore but wanting to leave in case a stampede broke out lol
iPlan Events
A must see when in NY!! Especially during the Christmas and New Year season!! It’s a staple every time we go to the city!! Be warned there’s a lot of tourist and usually crowded but it’s a great photo opportunity!! Bright lights in the city that never sleeps!!
Laura Depts
I enjoyed every moment of Times Square and seeing the Christmas tree for the first time at the age of 64 what a beautiful evening everything looked so nice
sun ny
It's a digital world. Most happening place in the city. This place is always busy. During covid time can see lot of people here. Best time to visit to avoid people is at mid night
Dimitri Ivanoff
Iconic place but better to be here not around New Year time. Yes the lights are bright, you feel a holiday spirit, all decorations. But it is so crowded, be ready to be pushed, shoved or stepped by. If you can, visit past midnight.
Ishrat Ali
Live place full of lights and lots of shopping only thing that bither is less public rest rooms around time Square some times it's hard with kids.lots of good food.
Özgü Özkul Özyiğit
When you go out from the metro at night time, you will be amazed how bright the street is. Too many billboards, lots of light, a lively street. Restaurants, shops, theaters, everything is there. I don't eat in those restaurants, cause it is always busy and somehow you fill that they don't want you to stay for a long time. And it is overpriced. Good to go and watch people from a window though.
Matías Gagliardone
The most popular place in New York City. A must if you are visiting for the first time but it gets annoyingly crowded all the time. It’s full of restaurants, stores, theaters and plenty of options to enjoy, although sometimes you literally have “to get on a line” just to walk around.
Tirth Patel
It was amazing view at night. We enjoyed view a lot. It is kind of place where all advertisment LED screens are placed all around and that looks amazing. Even many small groups were performing their dances, stunts and all other talents. It was an amazing experience
Leonardo Pirro
This place is to much crowded. There are many giant led screens and many stores. But there is not so much interesting about it.
matthew perella
Awesome tourist spot if you're in town it's a must see. So many people though so prepare yourself for the crowds. Tons of stores to shop at and iconic views. Everyone should see where the ball drops right?! Food wait times are above average here. My recommendation if you want food is walk a couple blocks away from the square and find a smaller place if your tight on time.
Gilberto Gutierrez
New year's in times Square was a great experience. The only negative thing is that NYPD should start letting us in sooner.
Stezin K
Great place! We went there and it rained. Really love the neon lights and stores. Love the vibe of Times Square. In the pandemic it isn't very crowded so I definitely suggest visiting if you are a tourist like me.
Maggy Grasso
If you like me and not from New York City and hate crowds, please check to see if there are any events going on that will create a lot of foot traffic! There was a Christmas-time light show going on the night of December 17th. My kids, husband and I went to go meet a couple people for dinner, and walking there was a bit scary due to the crowd.
I did live to write this, so all's well that ends well, but please take this advice seriously if you don't like crowds.
We did walk around earlier in the day and the next morning, and had a great time - I mean, obviously it's Times Square. Just plan ahead!
Ayoung Jo
Times Square 🇺🇸
Sit somewhere in the street to see the screens and capture how you feel at the moment!!
Amazing place and it will make me miss the New York city so much. Also, the Ride was nice to have explanations on the city, buildings, history and New Yorkers
Oz Hassan
I’m not a city guy, but when it comes to NYC I’m different. One of the must-see places is of course Times SQ!!!
New York! 🎶🎵🎵🎶
These streets will make you feel brand-new
Big lights will inspire you
Let's hear it for New York
New York ...New York!
dan davidson
You have to experience it at least once, then form your own thoughts. I did it once, but a busy crowded is not for me. So who knows your may love it.
Mohamed belfakih
Very famous spot for New Year celebration and also a must visit place in New York. Every New Year’s Eve, more than 1 million people come for New Year’s Celebration and see “the ball drop”. The glowing LED billboards that attract more than 50 million visitors a year, approximately more than 300,000 pedestrians pass through daily.
Gina Marroquín
Times Square was awesome to experience. Lots of people just walking and enjoying the view/scene. Lots of stores and lights. A must see for anyone visiting NYC!
Maria
Cool place to go to get some iconic photos. As expected in a big city there are lots of people trying to scam you, sell you fake goods and or pickpocket you, so you need to be alert. Plenty of shops near by as well as $1 pizza.
Goher Munir
Best time of year to visit time square, low no of people and you can enjoy easily. Have a great photoshoot with yummy foods to enjoy all around the time sqaure. 5/5
Trey Rocwilder
Times Square is still the center of attraction late night in New York City. The lights and ambiance are always right to set the mood on a night on the town. I would recommend stopping at Dallas BBQ for a bite to eat if your around and looking for a satisfying meal worth the money and prepared with covid safety measures taken so you can stay at the restaurant to consume your food, dine in their outside seating area or take your food to go.
KOKI ABE
This is one of my favorite places.
Probably this is one of the biggest power places by humans.
Super exciting and cool!
I wanna go on regular times.
L R
I have never been to Times Square until now. There is so much to see. Great if you like to walk. I had a blast! We went to hard rock for dinner. The food was great and the staff was amazing. Comedy Central had a great show. I want to go back soon. ❤
L. B.
It's Time Square. One of the most iconic places in the world. Bright, fun, wild, touristy, and open at all times.
Kevin Umanzor
Every time I've come here I've always had an awesome time. Whether I bring my family or I come with friends, there's always some good times to be had. All the people, all the lights, the cars, the hustle and bustle of it all make this place one of a kind in the world. I love the seating areas, makes it very family friendly. The shops in Times Square are all fantastic, and they are definitely not over priced, as some would assume. I would definitely recommend anyone to come atleast once in their lifetime. Whether night or daytime it doesn't matter. It's always an enormous amount of action and energy going on. It's definitely never a dull moment.
Kyle King
Incredible. This is all you see on the photos and so much more. The skyline, the street, the ad boards is all so much to take in. Right in the heart of New York all the Broadway shows are nearby along with the large commercial restaurants (hard rock cafe being my favourite!). Also worth noting that the subway station here you can get near enough every line, so get here and go out from there if ever in doubt. Incredible, a must experience!
Hasna U (Anjuman)
Just like in the movies, definitely worth your time and experience. So many stores to shop.😍 Felt surreal. Time square totally confirms that the city never sleeps. There’s so many activities to do.
Definitely coming back this summer. …
Gu Xingshuo/Sherry
Came here many times and saw great improvement in terms of price, taste and quality - would rate this as my top choice for hot pot in the Bay!
My fav is Gong Cai (crunchy and go well with the spicy broth) , Beef Tripes (best i had in years, so tender), Black Sugar Sticky Rice Cake (Hong Tang Ci Pa, also best i had in years, very thinly crispy outside and soft inside), Street Side Beef (don’t know how they did it but it was tender and flavorful), Pig Brain (soft and not too runny) and the Chicken Hua Jiao soup base (so much hua jiao for great price). The meat quality is amazing!
We ended up spending around $50 per person including tax and tips, which is not bad at all for Bay Area.
Arto Korpenfelt
It is bigger square and full of tourist visiting and taking pictures. Some good stores are located here atleast Disney store for kids.
Roey Kahlon
very impressive to watch the LED screens all over the place, you can find some street dancing and artist around the place.. and of course some souvenir shops, snacks, ATM and a great meeting point to meet up with your friends.
sometimes there are some more activities at that area, if you are lucky you could watch a free concert over there... enjoy your time
Faizan Nizami
Come to NYC and not visit the heart of the city should be a crime! Talk about being wide-eyed from the moment you come out from the nearby train or bus stations. Thronged by tourists, performing artists, and the New York famous food trucks, Times Square is right out of a dream. A day isn't enough to soak it all in. There's tons of stores, not to mention the famous Broadway right here. If you're in New York, do yourself a favor and drop by the big screen galore that is Times Square 🌆
Zach Payne
There's few places in the world like Times Square. Pay it a visit. Go to TKTS and see if there are some reasonable seats left to a play.
Yang Vang
It was fun but too crowded for me.

What a night life and people. I have never seen so many people gathered for some fun time. The lights around the place is awesome. I also happened to see people dancing on the floors which was exciting. Definitely one spot everyone should visit.
Makare Barnes
It was so fun visiting Times Square. Always great doing some site seeing and seeing the skyscrapers. The lights in the city were truly beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Will be back in a heartbeat. New York you've been great... hahaha 👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯💯💯💯💯🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 …

I don't have words to describe the Time Square its an heaven see the pictures below you will understand it. Best place on earth 😍😍😍😍
This place is not for people who don't like to hangout in crowd because this place is always crowded even at night. Specially Night is the right time to visit and see the beauty of Time Square 😍
Golden Skull Art
Worth a visit and definitely a must see.
It is insanely loud though, so if you're sensitive, bring earplugs...
Aiman Saeed
It was my first visit to NY times square. I first visited the place in the day light and it was totally a different experience when I saw it during the night time.
Totally mesmerizing view no doubt. The place was lit by lights and every single person was so happy to be there taking photos and what not. What's best about this place is you'll never feel lonely, I was solo traveling and when I visited this place I didn't feel solo at all ^_^
The place vibe was totally cool and unique.

So much excitement and we had so much fun!! Wouldn't advise taking small children at night, simply because it is so busy and crowded.
Derek Schott
Times Square, love or hate? I best describe this place as a grown up Vegas. At 4 in the morning it will seem like daytime. Venture in any direction and you will be faced with architecture that will dazzle the eye. Hit it around the holiday seasons, and see the beauty in modern society- especially at night.
Tommy Cox
It was a really good experience probably will do it again just didn't expect it to be that crowed with traffic think they would have more lanes for as busy of a city as it is lol and people to be that rude but to be expected
Parish Jones
Love Times Square it's a great place to visit a lot of places you can visit and take many pictures. The City that never sleeps. Also at night is the best way to view Times Square..
Ting-Yuan Tu
Things have changed a lot since these pictures taken in Aug 2019. Memories will be memories. Not sure how these people in the pictures doing right now, but I know once upon a time that we all were in the same location for a short period of time. I pray that you all be fine and heathy.
Abhishek Choudhary
Have never seen a happening place in my life such as this one. This just blew me away with its hospitality and energy even at midnight. The huge billboards and the ever-changing adverts.
Not to forget the art show that starts precisely 5 minutes before midnight, when are the billboards just into pieces of digital arts.

It was joyful experiences
In Newyork's travel was almost exciting to me, cause maybe i was the first time in here)
(But Except that someone picked it up while I accidentally left it for a while right in front of the h mart 😔 but i will think of it as a support to some homeless guy)
a ferry for a sight of the statue of the liberty in Alice island on the Hudson river ,
Subway with various lines, from uptown to downtown was what a nice~!!
I'm still Grateful now
If i have a chance to come here again
Next time, i will get to newjersey or Brooklyn.
Many peoples were on the timesquare street
Of course it was a holidays season
the man who cosplayed the Statue of Liberty , mickey and mini mouse looked friendly enough
Thanks for giving me a unforgettable memories on xmas holidays 🗽🎄❄🎅🎁

So beautiful! There's a lot of people but no rudeness and pushing going on. The food trucks are wo delicious and hot. Lots of places to sit and relax. Looking forward to our next visit.

In short, you feel like you're in the very center of the world since you remember all the times, simple or iconic, Times Square comes to your memory on movies, TV etc. It's of course very crowded, with locals and billion tourists, but you cannot visit New York without getting here. So come!
Joseph Dutko
This place is wild, masses of people, going in every direction possible, the lights, sounds, traffic, the world's largest TV and who can forget 'New Years crystal ball waiting patiently for 2019 to arrive. If you've never been there, it is something to see. Enjoy my photos of our walk to Times Square.
JJ Lee13
Very chic and cool place. Lots of big international brand shops. You can see beautiful people strolling coming from all parts of the globe. Lots of transportation and food choices too. Five star hotels are located here as well.
Angela Gonzalez
Even tho i could barely walk through. This place is AMAZING. There's no place like it in the world. The experience is one that i could do over and over again, it's beautiful and the lights are hypnotic. New York had every type of beauty imaginable. For all the craziness, i can check Time Square off my bucket list and feel blessed to have been here! Thanks New York!
Jaber M.
Center of the universe? Probably not, but this place is hugely entertaining! If you had nothing to do but sit and watch people, you will have a blast!
Add to that a collection of the best theaters and shows in the world and some of the best billboard views ever and you will understand what makes this place one of the most popular spots in the world despite online tips to avoid it for being overrated!
Sharon Behnke
Visited with my 13 yr old grandson at his request during a lull in the Corona Virus pandemic, which meant few tourists in town. No lines, no waiting, no crowds; it was amazing! My grandson appreciated the self-guided audio tour while in the museum. He was just a little disappointed he couldn't go up inside the statue because it was closed.

It’s Times Square! It’s super touristy and busy. The people dressed up as characters make me want to punch them in their faces every time they come towards for a creepy hug! Would rather be anywhere else in NYC!
Sarah Hogan
Exactly what you can expect from Times Square! Bright lights, thousands of tourists and countless chain restaurants. Worth going to see at nighttime for the sight, I wouldn’t recommend staying around for too long or eating around there, you can get a much better experience very close by by walk or subway instead!
Snappy Tax
I mean its Times Square. Right. Busy. Bright lights. Even at night it feels like day. Street performers. Food everywhere. From street carts to 5 star dining. Its an experience like nothing else. Dont miss this stop
Niklas
Surely iconic place. If blue light from screens is a thing, this is the place to get the full load of it. Everywhere, lots of people trying to make the best pictures for their Instagram and some weird artists or people wanting to buy stuff from them. In any other country, this sort of light smog would be forbidden. But not here. Still, totally worth a visit and quite fun to have been there.

I really can't believe I was in iconic Times Square which the busiest area in the world and the famous Broadway street. Most of the shops and cafes located in here are opened 24 hrs. It is really shop until you broke, so many things to see and so many things to eat in here.
Whatever Whenever
This place is ver busy and has a lot of street entertainment. There is a lot going on and tons of things to see. This place is great for people watching. There are street vendors selling food and souvenirs and people dressed up in costumes or almost nothing that would like to take a picture with you for usually $5.
Igor Henrique
These streets will make you feel brand new, big lights will inspire you. This place is so unique on earth, I love it everytime I am lucky to come and visit it again.

Fabulous place to be in, really a different experience to see so many ppl from different ethnicity and nationality. Gets really crowded in the weekends..but it's all cool seeing to many ppl just seating and walking around. Lots of restaurants of different cuisines nearby..caught a hop on hop off to see a full view of the new york night.
Justin Keishing
The most popular and remarkable place for the sightseeing in New York City.
Located in the very center of Manhattan and attracts thousands of tourists every day as well as the local people.
Very bright and shiny square because of the many and many live screens working 24 hours.
The most happening place on Earth. I must say specially after Sunset, This place will really shine when there will be dark outside. This place is beyond imagination some different vibes that you can not express in words. You must visit and feel it. Almost everything is here which will make your day very special. You will remember this place lifetime. One of my favourite place for hangout.
Thiago Calazans
I'm biased for talking about Times Square! I love New York and the United States! I've always dreamed of going there and I've been there twice and it's always great to be there!
Raul Anthony (RaulAnthonyPro)
This place is literally buzzing with electricity
& people everywhere!! it’s one of my favorite places to go when I visit New York because it’s so alive and bright and it doesn’t matter you get lost in Time Square and the best time to go is in the evening it’s so dynamic to great place to people watch because there’s a mix up locals and visitors and homeless people and everyone in between it’s really beautiful.
Fredflix 12
Very crowded but famous place to see, especially by night.. But be aware with the street people who offer anything if u don't want to buy.
L Mont
This place was amazing!! All the lights, billboards and things to do. I have never seen anything like it in life before. I loved all the energy and excitement there. I definitely recommend checking out Times Square. I can’t wait to go back and spend more time there.
Phillip Ho
Always a pleasure to be around here. Such a lively place. New york will always have many people roaming the streets whether its in the summer time or in the blistering cold of the winter time. Its a great place for familes to come hang out for the day or the weekend and a popular tourist area
Chandan P
Wow very nice to see during late evening.!!
It’s mesmerising and very attractive.
Great views and never saw this kind of things.
Do visit the place and try sub trains.
You can find all types of people around and it’s very interesting to see all around.
Visit and experience the best!!
Sushant KR
Surrounded by abundance of lights. Some spots are so bright that it feels like daylight.
A very happening and thus constantly crowded place. A must-visit on any short trip itineraries.
Xavier van engelen
Incredible to see at least once in New York. Loads of people. It can be overcrowded at times.
At Midnight, an artistic show takes place over the advertising.

Best place too go. You feel so special when you ended and walk around. I love the lights but they can be strong on someone’s eye if you’re not use too it. I keep forgetting it isn’t day time when I visit at night LOL! Amazing place for friends and family and forgone travelers.

Alot of New Yorkers that reside in city find themselves avoiding Times Square for many reasons but I come here often both during the day but mostly at night. I enjoy the view of the bright billboards, screens, and lights, the different types of people and crowds from all over the world that visit Times Square. The strip is filled retail stores, studios, comedy clubs, restaurants, bars, hotels, Movie theaters, Vendors, Museums and best of all Broadway shows. One can literally spend the whole day within this area and be quite entertained and have plenty of fun, which is my reason for visiting. The sidewalks and walkways do tend to get very busy and crowded, especially during the weekend. There can be a bit of annoyance with street performers, People in costumes charging for photos, and other acts. Police presence is very heavy wothin the area, there are no public restrooms, and prices for various things can be expensive, depending. New yorkers usually refer to Times Square as a tourist trap. I would spend wisely within the area. Have fun and Enjoy. :-)

Let's face it Times Square it's where the excitement happens
There are so many attractions the eye doesn't know where to look first . So many digital billboards , souvenir shops . Eateries etc. Very electric fun atmosphere. That's where the ball is dropped every year bringing in the New Year.
Mahbub Baset
Full of life, jovial, fun-filled..what else. It becomes more attractive and joyful during the evening time. Met with my secondary school friends here after 25 years to make the moments memorable.
Eric Zegarski
Always a fun stop when in NYC. Plenty of familiar brand name shops in the area. I 100 percent recommend making the short trek from the center of Times Square to Midtown Comics.
Joella Ayah
Honestly, Times Square is good for 5 minutes, then I wanted to get out of there. It was hot, jam packed with people and it’s really hard to find a good spot to take a picture 🙄
On a positive note, the street performers are really
Cool
AHMAD FARIT BIN MAZLAN
most happening place on earth. with all those billboards.
careful with tourist trap. dont take anything that is free offered to you. they will later then asked you for tips or donation.
dont take pics with those in costume. its not free and you have to tips them.
it is safe here. police literally every corner, so no need to worry about your safety.
food is everywhere too. every corner there will be halal stalls for muslim
Kinitra Epps
Time Square was great. I haven't been to NYC in years and even during a pandemic it was still worth the visit. Garage Parking ranged from $40-$55 per 2hrs. So plan your time wisely if you are driving.
J.David Hwang
Party every night before the pandemic. Luckily went over there last year. Iron Chef Morimoto NY Restaurant is closed. Don’t know the famous count down at New Year eve will continue this year? Anyway, miss the good old days!
Soula Kontogiannis
This place is unbelievable. We were there in early January 2023 and it was busy. I couldn't imagine what it's like in the warmer months.
Mohamed Ibrahim
I was blessed and fortune to visit Times Square in new year celebration❤️💙😍🌟. New York city, the city that doesn't sleep ❤️😘 best place to visit anytime of a year ❤️😘 Literally, you can find anything you want in there 🌹😘💙 like food, drinks, cafés, restaurants, gift shops, clothes shop etc. Also street show was one of the best things I saw during my stay at NYC
Isabelle Tran
A must go for all tourists - although locals would avoid it. The hype of the crowds, flashing billboards, entertainers in costumes is a sight. However, there are a lot of people wanting to sell you stuff, all in your face. Not for anyone who dislikes crowds.
Chance McNeil
This is a crazy busy place!! Fun to see this iconic part of New York. For little children it's probably not the best place as there are many free expression artists that share a lot of skin/nudity.
Beware of those people posing as Disney characters and trying to make a buck if you take a picture with them. The Singing Cowboy was Awesome and personable. Glad we can visit and spend time there as a Family.
James Laskowski
It's super crowded and reeks of marijuana and full of tourist trap shops but definitely good to walk through once a visit to NYC.
Kryssy Pooh
A must see in NYC!!! We were fortunate to find an affordable hotel walking distance to Times Square. There is A LOT to see here and you will find people from all walks of life. Restaurants, shopping, and street entertainment. We also witnessed a proposal which was so sweet!!
Ms. Chel
One of the most fascinating places in New York for tourists. Be prepared for tourist pricing in restaurants but shopping options are available for everyone. You must see at least once, but will enjoy over and over again!
J G
Time Square was so magical to see for the first time. I loved all the lights and advertisements it is a great experience if you have never been here before. The street performers make it enjoyable to see shows and artists doing paintings and drawings are amazing also. There's great food and shops everywhere and you can go on a tour of the whole city on top of bus which we gotta try out next time and explore the whole city. We must have walked 5 miles that night and loved it.
Tiara W.
Always amazed when I come here... city that never sleeps better slip you an Ambien. (Jay-Z)
Dean A
Always plenty to see and to take in! Symbol of America! A must visit, even if only once in a life time! Walk it, eat some street food, take in the million of lights, and avoid getting hit by the NY taxis!
Lauren Brigman
Always so much fun hanging out, people watching, and shopping in time square. While I’d consider it safe, it is a large, diverse collection of people so it’s good to keep parties together but there isn’t really a time that it clears up so you can really go at any time. We enjoy staying in time square and enjoying the evenings walking the streets and enjoying the crowds.
Martin Steyn
Was a tad underwhelming. It is a must see when in New York but there are much better sites to see. Go, take a few pics and move on to the other sites.
Sakshi Gupta
This is a must visit attraction in New York. One of the busiest place to visit. Lot of people all around, fancy streets crazy lights, pretty cool place. Visit it at night time not at the day time to see the beauty of this place. I visited at day time because I didn't have much time that day but I still liked it. I would be visiting again. It's a crazy place.
alan mckay
The best square in the world 🌎 with all the TV screens etc and feeling safe with a brilliant police force and it wouldn't be right without having a hot dog 😀 love this place …
Priyanka Nimkar
I used to think why is it so over hyped.
But when I was standing there..with those huge commercials screens surrounding me... Woooohhh had goosebumps
Fortunately was not so crowded as it was in October 2021
Must visit if you are in new york
SUBHADYUTI SAHOO
One of the best places to be in if you are in New York City.
The best time to visit Times Square would be after the sunset. The LED screens will come alive, the entire area would be flooded with dazzling lights and you would be mesmerized and overwhelmed just by the sheer ocean of humanity taking part in the revelry even in the middle of a week!
Ricardo Bacalhau
Like in the movies, people and big advertising everywhere. My problem is that is a checking point for a photo and see it in person.
To many people in the streets around and in the square for me. Not that comfortable for me.
After the photo, we went to 5th avenue and walked to feel the vibe, but again….. to many people, until…. We found a bar to relax… whiskey trader ( check out my review)
Lina J
The true experience of being in NYC is visiting this place at night but for a change try a quiet stroll in the morning before the city gets busy
Kelvin Ofula
If New York was a country, Times Square would have been its capital city. It's like time freezes from the moment you step foot into the Times Square surface. Colorful, bright, vibrant, busy, loud and crowded. Everyone visiting New York must surely make time for Times Square. It's not all perfect, it has its downfalls just like many other places, but one thing I promise you, visiting here will be one of your best times in New York. I guess that's why it was called Times Square, for good times sake. I will never forget my time here, it was amazing. One thing to watch out for though is the fact that there are too many people and the roads look like pavements, so when you are still admiring the place while taking pictures, please remember to watch where you are going. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite places in New York City.

Wouldn't spend a great amount of time in Times Square. Although I've been quite a few times now! Great to see it once or twice and experience the lights. Plenty of well known restaurants and big brand stores!
cynthia rodriguez
Lots happening! Great restaurants, good shopping, street entertainment, amazing experience! Loved it! Wish I would have stayed longer. Really nice walking down the street and just listening to all the different languages from everyone all over the world. The only thing I would say is DON’T take a ride with the bicycle buggies. They charge anywhere from 8.99 to 9.99 a MINUTE!!! Really got ripped off. I would rate them a 1 but think they work for themselves and there is no where to leave a review for them. So just Beware!
Richie Pawlowski
Does anything beat Times square? When you think of New York isn't this one of the first places you think of? I've been there three times in the past year and all three times I've soaked it in and spent as much time as possible taking in all the different sites and sounds that times square has to offer. Summertime is especially nice having a few drinks at the outside bar watching the world go by It's very eclectic.
Aron Parker
I'm 39 years old and I have dreamt about visiting Times Square my whole life.... I finally got to make that dream come true with my wife and kids! It truly is an incredible experience that I recommend for everyone!
Mister Jon Channel
The most wanted place to celebrate new year eve on this planet earth. Hundred thousands people or even a million come here to watch ball drop each year, one of them was me in 2012 new year eve. It was fantastic experience that i might have a chance to come here again.
Abraham Mathew
Nice and lively place. Lots of life. Just walk around and window shop. One of the most iconic places of NYC. Usually gets really busy and crowded in the evenings. Lots of people from all around the world come and visit and it gets really noisy at times.
Jen Rafalko
I love the hustle and bustle of Times Square. Especially if the weather is nice. I try to go to the city atleast once a year or so and I try to see a play when I am there too. This last time I went with my sisters to see Phantom of the Opera, stopped by Carlos Bakery and went to lunch at Carmines
Samantha Zinn
Everything you would expect! But I would have to say when you look at Times Square in the TV for NYE it looks large but in person so small. So it seemed. Big of course since it’s in the city but so much fun. We sat and people watched while we sipped in our fresh fruit smoothies made by a smoothie cart. It was my birthday so I was in full tourist mode hahah! Oh! And I met Naked Cowboy!!!
Adeel Fakhar
It is one of the coolest & crowded place in U.S to spend time, walk around, people watch & enjoy yourself. This place is full of life. If you want to see people from all over the world then this is the place probably you are looking for. Beautiful buildings with lot of variety attracts you. It is more attractive place after sunset. Madame tussauds museum is also one of the attraction of this lovely place. I saw a nude women there & this is my only concern about this place otherwise it's highly recommended for families too.
Tushar Suradkar
Although the recommended time is at night, visit the place late evening so that you get best of both the day and night views in the glittering lighting. Be prepared to walk long distances to enjoy the entire area since Times Square is not a single place but an entire neighborhood. Be aware of people in fancy dresses who lure to pose with you since they will ask for money. Simply ignore them and walk away without responding.

Times Square is a magnificent brightly lit place to visit to ooh and ah at the bright area of the concrete jungle.. expect it to be packed with people. I personally enjoy it best at night.
HL RFareham
Busy busy busy. Not quite sure what the fuss is all about. It's just a busy area. But go with it and have touristy overpriced fun. Looks great all lit up at night. Personally I wouldnt take small children. It is very crowded and I'd be concerned for their safety. If you get separated try finding them again. Lots of bars and places to eat. All tourist prices of course
marius masi
The first place visited in New York was Times Square. Amazing, vibrant, crowded and great place and atmosphere. Here you can see and feel the „soul“ of this city. I was here during the day and in the night, but the night is the best. You can see a lot of huge screen with advertising loaded.
Yanina Calderon S.
Time Square, with its lights, stores, food, and tourism. I love just walking around, especially at night!
Jeff Dundas
Fun, crazy place to visit, anf lots to see....don't let the characters force you into paying them for pictures ......
Steven Kreger
Been to Times Square many times theirs musicians trying to sell you their music or demo cd's you got people dressed up as spider man and other characters they have the naked cowgirls and naked cowboy something new I saw they have a ferris wheel there at 48th or 49th street and Broadway looks nice will ride it next time
