The most beautiful mall in Michigan that I’ve visited. This even exceeds the best malls of the 80s & 90s, IMO. It has beautiful architecture and incredibly spacious. I love just walking to see the stores. There’s a good Apple store in this mall as well as a huge 2 story Barnes and Nobles. Just outside is a fantastic movie theater, a very short walking distance as well as a couple restaurants and more. The mall is so alive with stores and people. Plenty of parking is available. I would recommend looking at a directory. There’s a GameStop I almost missed, as it’s down a hall. The food court is also down a hall and could easily be missed. But it is one of the best food courts as it has such a variety of eateries that are open. If you’re in the Grand Rapids area, I really recommend stopping by the mall if you want to shop, browse, eat, see a movie or just walk. Incredible place.

Not any different from other malls. Kept very clean and has the typical variety of stores, restaurants and food court. Has a movie theater as well.. Prices are about the same as other malls. Sales during the holidays, one would think they would be discounted but the prices are not much lower then original. Christmas 🎄 mall decorations were very festive.

I have not been to this mall in over 10 years. It was clean, several stores we're new. There was both high end stores and other more affordably priced stores. They have several shoe stores, women's clothing stores, men's clothing stores oh, several places to eat in the food court and a play area for the children.

This mall was pretty decent for it to be just one level, they had the same amount of stores as River Crossings Mall. I will say this though they did have a movie theater there with Dolby Cinema I wish I had gotten the opportunity to see a movie there but it is what it is I still enjoyed my time at the mall

Nice mall with some good offerings and large spaces to walk around. Starbucks and Jamba Juice in the center. Festive themes. Santa is here! Families enjoying time. A few higher end shops for higher class shoppers. Clean facilities. Good visit.

The best part about this mall for my family is the new giant play place for kids. Food selection is ok, there are a couple good restaurants attached to the mall. BnN is 2 stories. Bathrooms are clean like the whole mall. Overall a nice mall with all the typical mall shops, plus an Apple store.

It is likely me, but malls are hard. I like a few of the stores, but most cater to a certain type of person. It was very clean and custodians and security were easily visible.

This review is for those who have mobility issues. The renovations that the mall has recently done created something really great for those who have a difficult time getting around. On the north side of the mall, near the Von Maur store, is a mall entrance with 10 handicap spots near the door! Once you enter this entrance, there is a very short walk to the wheelchair/mobility scooter corral. This is a big improvement to making Woodland more accessible to everyone. ♿ Accessibility Features: Ramp access = Yes Wheelchair-accessible Entrance = Automatic doors Wheelchair-accessible Parking = Yes Power Chairs Available = Yes

Doesn't have quite as many stores as Rivertown, but it's still pretty good. Their Barnes and Nobles is amazing, you can find pretty much anything in there.

Renovated play-space!!! Such a fun area. It's located in the current food court wing by JCPenney. Accessible early when the main doors open for the AM walkers etc. Great for passing some time with little kiddos before general mall shopping hours.

They made sure that I was okay and if I needed anything. I am glad that they saw and came over to see that I was okay and if they could do anything to help. Nice, clean, large mall. Lots of popular stores, we went to Hollister, H&M, American Eagle, North Face, Lush, Apple, Von Maur, Cheesecake Facyory. Lots of other restaurants and stores with only a few empty.

Woodland Shopping Center is in the perfect location on 28th Street. You have every option of restaurants nearby in case you get hungry (or grab a snack at the newly opened Grand Rapids's first Trader Joe's). The mall has a Starbucks in the center with four wings branching out from there with any shop you can imagine including a movie theater, H & M, and a food court. It's usually clean and the staff are helpful. If you're from an urban center or one of the coasts of the USA, keep in mind two things: 1) Things are cheaper in Michigan so use that to your advantage, and 2) The style in Michigan is a few years behind the rest of the US so keep that in mind as you shop.

Clean large indoor mall. Favorite stores here are Chico's, VonMaur, and J. Jill. There is a great selection of stores that will become your favorites. The mall security was helpful. The parking is easy. Located on corner of a Beltline and main street so traffic was heavy but the mall entrance was easy to enter and well marked. This is an older mall that was remodeled and updated. They did such a great job that it looks all new. You'd never know if I hadn't told you!

Who the hell goes to the mall any more? The pretzels smell awesome, but I can't eat gluten so Aunt Annie's only serves to taunt me with their enticing odors, purveying a for hidden fruit that I will never enjoy. Hot topic is always busy with tweens and creepy 40 year old men.

The best place for a haircut at NYC cuts by the shoe encore is one of the best place I have seen of doing haircuts they just don't give you a slap type haircut like other places do they spend their time on cutting your hair with perfection ....

Woodland mall is a good mall for the atmosphere and the experience, however there are a few downsides. One downside is that I feel that most of the retail employees are underpaid probably because woodland mall charges retailers an arm and a leg just to own a shop here. Another downside is that I feel like woodland mall isn't the best at following COVID protocols. They don't require you to wear a mask, okay, but I doubt they are turning away customers who are physically showing signs of sickness. The two upsides are that woodland mall has a lot to offer including some local items as well. Also the security staff and cleaning staff are very friendly and very helpful with cleaning and security is helpful with answering any of your questions. Overall: come to woodland mall if you want a place to hangout and make new friends.

the mall looked to be clean, with no problems attending. No complaints. I would mall-walk here without issue, if that's what you were looking to do. Otherwise, the one store that I was visiting was accessible, and not issues. Though the only negative - the men's bathroom near one of the entrances was closed for cleaning, though there did not seem to be anyone actively cleaning it. I found another, but it would be nice to keep that maintenance to a confined window and return it to service quickly.

We attended the grand reopening of the Phoenix Cinema, which now has a new Dolby sound system, comfortable reclining, heated seats, and a clean, welcoming ambiance. It also offers great vending choices, including chocolate milk and carbonated, flavored water!

They lost their anchor stores that were not that expensive (only Macy's) remains and then they brought in an upscale shop redesigning a whole wing of the mall when retail is definitely on the decline, I sure hope that it pays out in the long run. Not as clean and clutter free as it once was but they are trying to maximize occupancy as any other retail space. Also there is a rumor that an Amazon Go store might be a new tenant sometime in 2022, that may change things a bit.

It's honestly based on the store. The mall itself isn't too bad as far as outside of the store. It's usually very clean and well kept. The food court is good unless it's the play area. I just feel the play area where kids run around without shoes being next to the food court isn't such a good idea.

Loved the movie prices, the fact that they have recliners that heat up are so unexpected. It was cold out that day. Plus I had a doctor's appointment and could see a movie at 9am.. no place in Holland ever start movie's before noon. I did appreciate the military discount too. Thanks

The food at the cafe is lovely though they seem to run low often. Though the employees seem to be in their own world and it's hard to get their attention. It's really evolved into the best mll in West Michigan. It has a great variety of stores and almost every single shop is occupied. It's clean and well-maintained. I never go to Grandville's mall because Woodland is miles better.

Ranges between upper-middle class expensive and vacant. Mostly is clothing. They do host a large barns and noble store. But a-lot of the furniture/design places are pretty expensive. They do have a nice size food court though

They have very easily accessible bathrooms, and I love the variety of stores they have. The security was out in the mall, interacting with guests and visitors all over, being totally helpful and helping to assist anyone and everyone. My visit was great, definitely recommend shopping here for all of your home needs.

It was easy to get around. The massage chairs were absolutely amazing. There are plenty of stores to shop at. There is a lot to do in the mall. The bathroom was clean and easy to get in and it's handicapped accessible which is nice because I am disabled. Parking was not too bad either.

Great to see the mall so busy. Shoppers everywhere and many with multiple packages. The mall seems to be thriving again after the COVID shutdowns. Now people seem to be happy to be living their lives.

This is not a very big mall, but it has several popular stores. This is why I like to shop at the Woodland Mall, it is not very congested and the clothes selection is good. Only complaint is there is no Finish Line at this mall. It also has several great restaurants surrounding the mall, such as Cheesecake Factory, TGI Fridays just to name a couple, which makes it great and convenient to have lunch or dinner after you are all done shopping.

The Black Rock Grill was so delicious. When I got back to my truck my tire was 100% flat. So I parked in three parking spaces and soon Mall Security, came up to me and I told him my situation. He told me ,'There's security here 24/7 just tell them you already spoke with Muhammad and you will be fine, not fined.' Muhammad thank you so much :)

It’s a good place for time pass. My kids love the newly renovated play area with bigger ones. Somehow my kids the old one they had in the center of the mall with breakfast theme. They are very soft materials and kids always liked it and wanted it to go several times in a month; the new area is good but they don’t ask it any more; may be they’re growing up now and don’t have that much interest now.

Great mall, lots of terrific stores and eating places. Love the improvements and changes they've made. They have a couple really nice play areas for the kids too. Lots of parking but it can get really congested when they're even somewhat busy. Overall, worth the trip!

I needed to go to the bathroom really bad and discovered this place on google maps. I popped in for a quick dump and found these bathrooms to be amazingly clean for a shopping mall. Toilet paper fully stocked as well. Hats of to you Woodland Mall! 5 well deserved stars!

Very well-kept shopping center. The facilities are shockingly clean considering all the traffic this place gets all day, and there are many up-to-date stores here, hinting at the fact that the Woodland Mall is constantly being updated, which is great. While shopping centers might not be as popular a place as they used to be, this one still is popular in this area.

No decent gym shoes for women. Went to three stores. Huge mall but not enough for my taste. I will however go back for a more detailed shopping experience. And if you can't find the apparel that you want you would definitely find the food you want plenty of eateries nearby

Great mall getting better all of the time! In the mall that has been in Grand rapids for so long and took a hit when a mall opened on the other side of town, woodland Mall has fully resurrected its standing as a top mall in West Michigan. Lots of stores, huge bookstore, movie theater, cheesecake factory, so many other great restaurants, so much going on right in the area. It wasn't bad really just had to take 28th Street to get to mall. Due to construction could not get off belt line. Not many people in mall which is good. Was able to get in and out in taking care of errand. Everyone was wearing their masks as instructed and standing at a distance also as required to do all in all nice visit. I wish they included a few more stores that offer extended sizing, but TORRID did just move in. It's really nice that there's a movie theater and several restaurants attached. If you have little kids, the "breakfast food" play area is great.

We looked here for several different items. Though we didn't find what we actually went there for we did get items at other. It is IMHO a nice place to take children if they are going to play. I greatly appreciate the fact that the play area has items the kids can safely play on and there are no obstructions to where they are not in sight of their caregivers.

We love Cheesecake Factory, can’t wait to check out black rock, & have loved the new Von Maur... the play area is amazing & opens early for mall-walkers & moms with no where to go in between dates or appointments;) busy play area during weekends though & traps of new car carts for the kids to beg for. I usually go with a few quarters for the gum ball machine & maybe Starbucks $. If we go early enough the little guy can’t pull clothes off the shelves but he can walk off some energy!!

This mall has everything and is fully stocked with retailers. Many malls nowadays are half-empty. This place is lively and always bustling. My kids love the breakfast themed play area. The 3 anchor stores are going strong. Can't wait until the departed Sears is rebuilt to house the 4th! Anchor store that is already well underway! The food court was an awesome addition as before all food offerings were spread around. Bathrooms are always acceptable and often freshly cleaned. The cleaning staff is friendly and attentive. Expecting mother parking is available. Security is always within sight. A good mall I'm a world of dying malls. I am glad that Woodland changes but never drops in popularity.

Nice, bright, clean mall. It has a good mix of retail shops and even has some of Grand Rapids only locations such as Apple, North Face, & H&M (opening soon). Even on a busy Saturday afternoon there is enough room to navigate the mall and not feel like you're elbow to elbow with other shoppers. Went to try the cheesecake factory wait time was too long. Then went to on the boarder and our seating area went from full tables to empty tables and were cleaned up as we waited 40 minutes without our order as others who came after us were served. Asked for check so we could leave because the waitress said our order was still not filled was maybe sort of forgotten 😯 we were given a bag with our order very quickly when we said we were leaving. We were not charged. Really not sure where things went wrong, this was to be my daughter's birthday lunch.

This mall is showing its age and the times. The parking lot is in disrepair and should be repaved. The mall on the inside is decent, and doesn't look modern, but looks like that have done minor upkeep. There are many stores located inside, and a few new development moving in.

Pretty decent mall. It isn't spectacular but all the necessities are there. There are a number of stores that all generally sell the same things, with some exceptions. Everything was clean which I appreciated. The food options could have been better though, there was nothing really good and definitely not anything healthy. Pizza, multiple pretzel stores, fake "Japanese" that was fried rice and three types of sugary chicken. The food there made the Starbucks look the most appetizing.

I usually always enjoy my trips to woodland mall. This time I was appalled by the condition of the restrooms.Toilet paper all over the floor. Multiple stalls unusable because they are either too dirty or the toilet is plugged. & I tried 3 different restrooms! This is inexcusable. The res tof the mall is very well maintained. A few new stores. Very pleasant as long as you don't have to use the restroom.

I would not go so far as to say this mall is in a woodland, but besides that minor factual error, it is a nice place. Sometimes there is modern art in the hallway, ready for viewing. Stopped at Woodland Mall today on 28th street in Grand Rapids, MI They are doing a lot of construction outside of the Mall, but the inside is very nice. It looked like most of the real estate is taken. The stores I went into, JC Penney was very clean the store had a lot of product and the employees were super friendly. I love to shop, they have a huge variety of store at this location. However my reason for this review is to give Zason Latino taco stand a HUGE shout out. Their sign says “always fresh” & let me tell you they are definitely keeping things fresh! I got the 3 taco option & chose chicken. The pico was delicious! Seriously I ate all 3 tacos in less than 10min (don’t judge me). I don’t live close to this location at all but I’ll be back for this food! CHECK THEM OUT. You will not be disappointed.

My hometown mall for 40+ years. We've been through a lot together. Remodels, the end of 1980s mall clothing stores, Hudson's farewell. I hope they can keep reinventing to remain a mainstay. The bathrooms are poorly located, the parking lot more potholes than not, and it just doesn't feel safe as of late. But the stores are upscale and the outdoor area w restaurants and theaters is a nice touch. Reclaim the security, management, and we'll all be back!

Its an inside air conditioned shopping mall, i prefer this type of mall way more than the new style where everything is outside. I can go outside whenever i want, a shopping mall like this is nice if its raining or cold or super hot out, unless the weather is absolutely perfect this is the way to go.

They have coffee shops plenty of business in there I go to Buckle for my clothes and buckle has cowboy boots made in Mexico ( Corral boots ) are made there in Mexico each pair of boots Is hand made they are in the expensive side but well worth it. If a friend were to the mall with me I can guarantee my friends would not have any problems with finding what he or she wants. The only thing that could be better there is a pharmacy which they don't have at this time. Any out of town people who need clothes or anything you want this mall has it .

The mall has many good stores and was packed today, despite COVID. I was able to find a lot of things I like, specifically at H&M. I found other things I like at stores like American Eagle, Buckle, and Forever 21. Urban Outfitters has cool graphic T-shirts but it is way too expensive. Apple, American Eagle, and Hollister were at capacity most of the day so I couldn’t go into those places, excluding American Eagle. I went back and bought some neat stuff at H&M, American Eagle, and Hollister. (Hollister still had a long line though) I wish the Made in Michigan store and the cinema didn’t close though, those places were really neat. Justice is also pretty much closed at this point, which kind of came out of nowhere. Sears closed too, but was replaced by Von Maur. This mall is anything but dead and a great place to shop!

I like this mall much more than the Rivertown one. It's smaller, but has all the shops I need anyways. The layout is much less confusing and overwhelming. It's always clean and it's never crazy crowed like the Rivertown one. Rivertown has more shops, but shops I don't really go to anyways. Plus Woodland has Lush!!!

Good shopping mall overall. Has most things you'd expect in a shopping mall. Department stores, lots of clothing stores, book store, game store, Starbucks, restaurants, food court, etc. Good indoor space to walk around in while window shopping, play area for kids, and lots of seating for all the non-shoppers. Wouldn't recommend some of the food court vendors. At least I found Lotus Express a disappointment. Choose wisely. Doesn't have a sports equipment store. Movie theater is in a detached building right next to the main building, but it usually doesn't feature the newest movies.

Shopped at JCPenney and found exactly what I wanted in the petite department. Also shoes that had reasonable heels for me who needed a little dressier shoe with a low heel because of bad knees. I had been to 3 other stores with no success. Thank you JC Penney's.

Great shopping center. It has a store for everyone and plenty of options for snacks and drinks. It even has a play area for kids. Great mall overall, makes me wish the one near me was like it and not half of the stores being closed LOL

They need to have recycling, and stop with the styrofoam and plastic use. Encourage environmentally biodegradable products for all of the restaurants, and I wish for the entire state of Michigan. I only had food here once, and the doner I received has never seen a real doner in it’s life. It was disgusting. She served it in styrofoam. I wanted to throw up. Some of the other stores such as Barnes and Noble are fun to sit, read, chat and browse with friends. I don’t care much for corporations and filling landfills with stuff. If you’re resourceful, patient and savvy you can save yourself a lot of money elsewhere. The Apple staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I rather not comment about the rest. Depends on your personal experience and your personality.

This is a mall with traffic from hell, and drivers who are too busy applying makeup or enjoying camouflaged clothing to notice anything beyond their windshield. Personally, I would recommend avoiding this place by all means, but if you enjoy spending money in an attempt to impress high school children, this might be the place for you.

Great deal of variety in the store options, however many are higher pressure sales places (Apple, Brookstone, Lush, Art of Shaving, Teavana). The overall feel of the mall is an air of put-on pretension both by many of the shoppers and the various stores' workers. I would generally avoid leisure shopping in this mall, and would only come here when I need something specific from one of these stores.

Oh my gosh...my girlfriend Mary got us massages at the mall by a wonderful group of Chinese massage therapists..Both ladies were awesome! They were strong and worked on the areas we requested where we had issues..me..shoulders/arm from weeding the garden..my friend her feet..$30 for 1/2 hr and $10 for 15 more minutes..highly recommend!

There's 1 set of bathrooms in the entire mall inconveniently located at the farthest end of the mall - by the food court, and there's usually a wait which forces you to use the family room if available. And of course, consider yourself fortunate if one of the staff in a store understands your dillema. Suggestion for Woodland to add a mini bathroom stop somewhere mid mark in the mall. Unacceptable when you're assisting disabled individuals with heart conditions and small kids potty training who can't quite make it - embarrassing for them.

Not a bad mall. I love Lush and Teavana, which they have. It's also a bonus for some that it's 1 level. Although the Hot Topic here is smaller than Rivertown Crossings it's laid out better and usually better stocked.

Wasn't busy when we arrived, friendly staff, the man working at premier was super friendly, and showed us an amazing product we decided to get, spencers was great, good staff, all round all Tue staff we encountered were super friendly. Definitely will go back again

Woodland Mall represents shopping at its finest for the Grand Rapids metro area. In stores and shops give guess a truly unique shopping experience. A shame that Starbucks got rid of Teavana. Although the loss of Teavana does slightly diminished the shopping experience there, it doesn't diminish it by much. The addition of the cheesecake factory does take the experience up a notch. Going during Christmas time is a great experience, I love the festive decorations inside the mall and of course going to see saint Nick is always a treat. I would highly recommend visiting this mall.

Woodland is usually busy and can be hard to find close parking. Woodland has good stores but they are often disorganized and under staffed. The general mall ambiance leaves the customer ready to leave after just a half hour.

Very congested and difficult to find a parking place Went to tries to eat at The Cheesecake Factory but the 3 hour wait caused us to go to On the Border. Terrible terrible experience........🤨 Our waitress Emily was not cordial, but instead curt, my food was cold and my 2 adult children's orders were both wrong......no apology......no attempt to compensate us.......I was going to not leave a tip but I am hoping my 5% gratuity will let her know how inappropriately she treated us. At this point I will not go back to On The Border at The Woodland Mall........... 🤨

Nice remodel with new additional wing. Von Maur anchor store has a nice upscale feel to it. The Williams Sonoma location is much better than the old, with more space and modern look.

Nice mall. Clearly shows its age. Restrooms need an update. In most towns this would be the place to hang out. But Grand Rapids has River Town Crossings. If Rivertown had an Apple Store I would never go to Woodland which is located in the urban district of town. Traffic on 28th Street is AWFUL. Food Court is weak too.

You know, it's a 50/50 shot on this place. I'll give it four stars, because it's getting better all the time, but it's still an old facility with some sketchy neighbors. PREIT is a manager that's pretty typical of absentee landlords, and has a hard time getting ahead of issues. Maybe with Sears leaving they'll but the money in that's been lacking for the past ten years and it'll be a mall on the level of the nicer ones by Detroit.

This mall doesn't have a ton of interesting places for a man in his mid thirties. Not that many malls do. I enjoyed the board game store, the bookstore, and taking my kid to the video game store.

It's a mall, not much to say about that. Traffic in the area is horrible and it took a good 40 minutes to find parking. I'll typically head to Rivertown instead, by far easier to get in and out of.

Nice mall. Has a decent selection of stores, but lacks higher end retail stores like Nordstroms, Dilliards, or Bloomingdale's. Grand Rapids could use a higher end type of mall like Somerset Collection in Detroit.
