Highly recommend. We were craving tamales and they didn’t disappoint. Had the green (chicken) and the red (pork) as well as corn (sweet plain). The Pozole had mint and pork soup and the Beef soup with two short ribs was highly recommended by a family member. Tons of sauces and accompaniments. Everything was absolutely delicious. Recommend takeout only as the place is small. Parking is tricky but their is parking lot one minute away and two spots right in front.

Awesome awesome tacos! Small restaurant (about 16 seats total)... But a MUST TRY if you like Mexican. Not in a great part of town... I used to live around there a while back...But worth the visit.

Mexicana. Tacos, burrito, and Quesadilla with chicken for us. No frills. A bit beat up inside. We went for the food. We will return. We did take out. They are very friendly. They give sauces generously. My burrito Pastor was spot on. My son didnt talk or play on his phone until he was done with his four tacos which were on the larger size as strret/truck tacos go. The fresh salad with my burrito and with the Q-dilla were fresh and had huge pieces of guac. I say this would be a go-to spot for take out, not date night, especially when the thought of fast burgers turns is a turn off. Fresh is better, right? BTW, the platas tipicas on the menus and tables looked great too.

Although it's a small local spot, it delivers the same excellent quality of food as high rated restaurants — a historical structure of yonkers since the 1990s. I have been coming here since I was a local, and even after moving, I still hit this spot up. Amazing food.1

We ordered delivery here. The food wasn't bad but the problem comes from its location. On the same block, there are way better choices for Mexican food, which doesn't really make this place stand out. Especially with food that lacks flavor or character of its own

One of my favorite places for a mexican feast. I love the enchiladas and tacos from this place, they are well preapared and have rich flavor. Also sauces are very well done, they carry the traditional authentical mexican flavors. Thumbs up!

The signs say best tacos in town and they’re not lying. The steak taco is literally the best taco I’ve ever had. Now the reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the burritos were so greasy that they fell apart, not sure that that’s about. Will only order the tacos from here.

Stopped here out of sheer curiosity and left absolutely impressed. Food was delicious, and while I'm not the perfect person to comment on authenticity, it tasted like true authentic Mexican food in my opinion, and everything was made with such love. Only drawback is that the dining area is super small, but that's fine, you don't come here for a top dining experience. You come here for amazing food.

Had many very pleasant experiences here in the past two decades and a half. If you love a small quaint environment, terrific food, and excellent service, this is the place for authentic mexican cuisine. Only drawback it is very tiny, and hard to get in sometimes (very packed). This is definitely the place to be, it is best to take the food out. Parking is a problem here at times.

So I’ve ordered at many Mexican spots in the area and Westchester and I have never felt like I’ve had to leave a review. This place is a gem and there food is phenomenal. I ordered steak chicken and pork tacos here and they were all delicious as well as the tostadas and quesadillas. The portions are great and I recommend this place to everyone just come here you won’t be disappointed. Only down side is place is small and parking sucks but it’s well worth it.

Great food and relatively nice staff, but the service is so slow for such a small place. I hope they switch to counter service some day. The servers are so slow running food and finishing dishes that it's almost unacceptable in such a small place. We would go more if it was a counter service hole in the wall, or a nicer restaurant with decent service. Currently though, it's a poorly executed combo of both. Can't deny the food is good, but it's getting it that's the problem.

Came with a party of 4. Got sat right away. Server was attentive & nice. He got our order correct . Food didn't take long at all. It was fresh & delicious! The tacos and quesadilla are amazing ! Best Mexican place in all of Yonkers. Sure beats the taco truck in South Broadway, and it's of significantly better quality than the fancier-looking place further up the road. If you've got the time and the urge for a nice Mexican meal, consider this place. Only concern is getting a table.

My wife and I tried this place a few nights ago. The tacos are tasty. We tried the tacos de lengua, carnitas, steak & cheese, marinated pork with lemon sauce, and the shrimp. They were all good, but the marinated pork with lemon sauce was our personal favorite

So I ended up in Yonkers Ny for the first time and ended up stumbling upon this place. Loved how quaint and cozy it was. Since I do not eat meat. They made sure I had no meat in my food. Everything I bought was delicious..the fresh cilantro in the guacamole was even more appealing. Sercice was done with a smile and so polite to my questions. Die to me having never been there before.. I will def visit this place again. I have meat setting friends and this would be a cool place to have a bite.. or grab food to bring hom for sure..

Omg do my family and I love coming here for amazing Mexican food!. I tried almost everything on the menu, and was not disappointed. The place is not fancy and is way small, so if you are the too prissy type, you probably won't feel comfortable. I like the family ambience and the friendly service. this resturant blows my mind everytime i eat from there. they are so good to the fresh handmade tortillas to the crunchy chicken and steak. the service is so well managed(unbelieveable how good it is). vegtables are always fresh. just everything is just a god sent gift. :)

Arguably the best tacos in all of Westchester. While the space inside may be small, the servings are huge. This is one of those places you have to bring friends who are visiting the area. Be warned that parking is fairly limited.

The nachos mexicano are to die for this is a great late night spot. I also love their flan. Everything I've eaten here has been on point everytime. The staff is very friendly and, the tacos are excellent. The dining area is a little small and, can become packed very fast. So tp go is normally a great option if around luch or dinner time. They are open from 1 to two am.

I have been going here since I was a kid. It might look like a hole in the wall but it's my go to spot for Mexican food. It's pretty small and they only have tables. You will find a small parking lot in front and as a bonus I believe there open until 2am

In the midst of a sketchy neighborhood, you can rely on authentic Mexican food here. Everything here is made fresh and quick. I ordered 3 tostadas (beef, pork, chicken) and each one was so damn good I barely had time to stop and look at which one I was eating. Before i knew it, I was looking at the bottom of a sad aluminum container. I couldn't fit enough taco into my mouth. The tacos here are really good and really cheap, much better than any chipotle or fast food Texmex joint.

Tasty food. Just like in mexico. Fajitas were very good, so were the tacos al pastor. Layout is confusing, you'll think you walked into the back of the place, there's no cashier station or greeting area, you just walk in, find the waitress, order from the picture menu on the wall and sit down to eat. They have a "fixin's bar" right under the pictures that has all the usual stuff, cilantro, onions, peppers, sauces, etc. It can get crowded really quickly since the place is so small, but if you get there and can find a seat, its a good meal.

Hole in the wall Mexican eatery. Best plantains you will have in your life. Yes, they even outdo others in PLANTAINS, the most ubiquitous Mexican food beside 'the avocado.' The Burrito Poblano comes in their mole sauce...it is a CHOCOLATE BURRITO. All the tacos are fantastic. Try the tongue/lengua. Everything here is perfected. The End.

Food is great, oldest taqueria in Yonkers. My favorites are the tacos arabes, a marinated pork taco on a flour tortilla with a chipotle sauce, or my kids favorites, the tacos dorados, which are kind of like giant taquitos cut in half. They have lots of different types of tacos on traditional Mexican style corn tortillas but I highly recommend eating those at the restaurant as they do not hold up well in transit. Be sure to wash it down with some horchata or mexican coke (better than American Coke by far.)

This highest flavor-to-dollar ratio taco place in Westchester features a wide variety of really authentic Mexican offerings, all of them great. Tacos, of course, but also pozole, sopa de res, pechuga de pollo, fried whole fish, incredible sopa de mariscos, real nachos, quesadillas, and on and on. Incredible. Right around the corner from their incredible sister restaurant Pollo Al Carbon (check it out!), this is a Yonkers and Westchester landmark.
