Definitely enjoyed our stop here. We’ve been here for a year and finally wanted to try it out. We came at 10pm and the quality and service were great, even for the time. The ambience and food quality were just great for the price and it’s an obvious choice for locals. Right across the street from the raceway casino and it offers parking.

Took my family here for brunch. Really nice and clean. The food was fresh and delicious. The waffles was light and fluffy. The sausage was well cook and the eggs were yummy. Great environment for all ages. My kids love the kids menu. The service was excellent!!!

I went with my younger sister after both of us had gotten off of work and all of the staff were absolutely wonderful. The food was absolute *chef's kiss* and we had great conversation with our waitress. She checked in on us just enough to keep our drinks full and courses coming and have a couple laughs with us as well. Absolutely going to be coming again soon.!

First time here & i could see this place was good beacuse it was packed. Overall, Food was great, loved that they gave my child an activity while waiting for food but some things could have been better. The water tasted like tap water & our server wouldn’t check up on us so when it was time for the check, i didn’t want to yell for the waiter & i just wished she would’ve been more attentive.

Made a quick pit-stop here and was not disappointed! The food was classic diner food and delicious. The service was so great, I didn’t get her name, butt server was incredible! So kind and attentive with helping me find some vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. I really appreciated it :)

I would give it five stars cause I always come here but after today the owners daughter (blonde straight hair with the glasses at the register) is extremely rude to customers and even her own employees. Lots of attitude for no reason. Otherwise, amazing food and amazing employees (waiters, waitresses and other staff).

Decent service. Food was very home style. Delicious and not fatty/greasy. We had the pork sovalaki with greek salad where i really appreciate the stuffed grape leaves that complimented the meat. We also tried the Irish burger where the 1st taste was a true experience. The burger tasted like it was a combo of meats which was great! And once again nothing was greasy. The fries were crunchy and perfect. The slaw tho.... ugh oh man. Sucks its one of my favorite compliments to a burger. The overall experience was great. We decided to drop in after a trip to the Bronx from NJ. Due to the ratings online. I gave 4/5 for the poor slaw and the desert options were all stale looking. Unfortunately we wil be heading out to a local dessert spot near home. I will tho stop by again for more Irish favs from this location. See ya soon!

Met up with friends at this diner. Loved it. They have jukeboxes at the table. Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I had an amazing shrimp and scallop salad. I will be going back.

I can't say much about this place because all I've had every time I come is "breakfast options" are they are always really really good. Service is always on point, the management is very attentive, friendly, polite and the waiters and waitresses are too!!! Portions are huge, I never finish my plates without my boyfriend's. I have to emphasize that their coffee is one of the best diner's coffees you'll find. I have been to other diners and their coffee tastes like dark sock's water but theirs tastes like homemade, delicious, fresh coffee and that's one of the things that matter the most to me when coming to a diner, GOOD COFFEE!!!!!!!!! I don't understand the other bad reviews, never have had a bad experience here, never had tasted bad food here, never experienced a bad vibe, love love love this place!!!

Great Diner, probably a landmark for the amount of times it has been around Yonkers. Great diner food and a very nice staff and management. As you can see walking steps to the Empire Casino. Why pay $30 bucks for s burger when you can have one across the street at the Raceway diner. “Believe me the casino will take enough of your money!

The atmosphere is nice and cozy. The staff are professional, and caring. Breakfast is quite tasty, salads fresh but dinner specials were surprisingly off beat. If you can't cook at home you might fair better to have one of their great burgers and some fries.

Very expensive, not enough waiters.. burgers were good tho ,*edit* I picked the burgers because it was the least expensive, everything else raised an eyebrow, I usually eat in a spot called galaxy diner in the bronx around 204th Street, so I'm used to seeing prices way lower, but I do understand the need for price adjusting for COL in your area and the size of your restaurant and crew retention. The waiters were great when they served us but unfortunately I had to constantly look for them since they seemed to disappear for extended amount of times when I needed additions to our food such as the desert, or the bill. When I sat down I did notice the seats had rips on it and holes, which is fine, I did not expect a 5 star luxury restuarant. It gave character to the place if anything. The food was good as I said but the price and unitentive waiters which is not there fault, I felt they needed more waiters at the time of my visit. I've changed my star rating for 3 to 4 because I'm actually impressed that management cares about the reviews and commented to defend there establishment, which I respect.

It was swell for a 1st time experience. (Out of the 15 years I been in town, I finally pay the place a visit). The table radio player works great but the song selection could have been better. I loved how they had some good artists available but they also had a large share of bad artists including the controversial R.Kelly & the awful Lady G! (Poker Face, Edge of Glory & Alexander being her top 3 worst songs ever!). The Food & Service was great but just 1 visit hardly scratches the surface. It's Taste in movies were fine 2 (tonight's movie Special was 1968's Planet of the Apes!).

I love the food and service at this place. It was my second time being there and the service is always nice and positive. The food is just as good as the chicken fingers took me back to my childhood and the burger was fire-grilled to perfection. I have no negatives that u can think of so far but great place for family and friends. Either for a quick bite or even for a nice moment with loved ones.

Excellent stop! Greeted and seated instantly into a nice booth by a window-place was spotless as well. Menu is classic diner fare (plus a whole lot more!). Food came out hot, quick and fresh! Had my first ever chocolate "egg cream" drink - which has neither egg or cream, lol! This is an old school stop, and it needs to be one of yours! Go and enjoy!

A pretty nice place, a small diner. I enjoyed the food, but sadly I didn’t feel rushed. Staff kept on coming over to the table to see if I was done eating, and they cleared away preach as soon as they were empty. I understand there was a line, it just felt like their goal was more fast food than sit down restaurant. I will go back, but hopefully during a slower time.

My wife and I were really surprised by the service and food quality, especially after a long late evening at Empire Casino. It was well past 2am, and we were greeted and sat down immediately. Menus and drinks in less than 5 minutes, very friendly wait staff. The food was way better than we expected, and it was plentiful, we needed take out bags. We would definitely come here again.

We’ve done take out more than eat it, but both options were delicious. I love me a good breakfast so when we first moved, my mission was to find my diner breakfast go-to and I think I found it! I’m a big eggs, bacon, home fries type of gal. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have hashbrowns :( but the home fries made up for it. When we ordered takeout, we had bacon, egg and cheese in heros- they were pretty good. I think our experience has been a solid 4/5.

This diner is fantastic! The food was delish and the service was excellent. I had two pancakes, scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage, and 2 cups of decaf coffee with cream. My husband had the same but with eggs over easy and 2 cups of regular coffee. We also shared homefries. The portions were large so we had to take most of it to go. We could have shared one order. Diner food is usually decent and nothing to brag about but Raceway Diner is on another level. Everything was well-prepared and just so good. Our waitress was super attentive and very friendly. Great experience!

We came to the diner after visiting Empire Casino across the street. The sign outside stated the restaurant was voted "best diner 12 years in a row" and we can truthfully say it is the best diner ever! The service was excellent. Food was delicious. Our waitress Norma was great, Bill made the world's best Pina Coladas and gave the twins (Mom and Aunt) a delicious birthday dessert. Outstanding customer service. We highly recommend this diner to everyone!

This is my main restaurant for omelettes. Love the home style with onions and jalapeños. I call place the order and it normally ready in about 10-15 minutes. Not as busy as it was before Covid. I love the omelette and hope nothing but the best for the business.

I discounted a star because, the person who was cleaning, then served our utensils and napkins with their bare hands which I never saw him go to the rest room and wash. He could've worn gloves. Some of the servers has bad attitude and really should not be serving people. I made sure someone else serveed me. I do not want someone with bad attitude caring my food. Other than that, the food is very good and management seem accommodating. 4 stars for now but if they check some of their staff's attitude 5 stars would be appropriate.

Visiting from capital region, we stopped in at 9 pm with a very hungry and soaking wet teen after his soccer match in the pouring rain at nearby Tibbetts Park. Host and waiter were gracious and brought hot coffee right away. Breakfast after 9 pm is just what we needed. Generous and tasty portion were perfect to fill us up for the 2.5 hour ride back upstate. When next in Yonkers, will be sure to stop by again. Oh, I almost forgot. I ordered a piece of the bread pudding to go. It, too, is outstanding!

As soon as I came in I was welcomed as if I was a member of their family. My child was also greeted and treated like a princess. The service was amazing and the food was really good. Food quality is spotty, but I'm generally there pretty late (this visit we arrived at 10 pm with a group of 9) so it's understandable. Service is okay, our server was cheerful but had to reminded about a couple of things.

I've eaten here more than you could ever imagine and the experience is always good. Sometime the pancakes are okay, sometimes they're fricken amazing. Same goes for all meals, thing is, they're never bad. Plus, unlike the other diner down the street, I've never once got sick from their food.

I live on Long Island but am originally from Yonkers. The last time I ate at this diner was sometime in the '80's. I don't remember how it was way back then but I was certainly impressed with service and attention I received, Food quality was very good. I met Bill, the manager on duty and thanked him for a great experience.

Food, service, and cleanliness was very good. It was very busy. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated and the wait for the food was pretty good. Wonderfully friendly staff, and way better than average diner fare. My breakfast partner and I were left alone for nearly 2 hours as we talked, only being interrupted to be asked if we wanted more coffee! I had tea, but was given a fresh cup and a fresh tea bag. Loss leader I know, but that was very nice!

The waiter was Was friendly but didn't give adequate time to look at menu. I ordered a turkey burger and I enjoyed it. Food here is good. Atmosphere is okay. Not all staff were friendly. The hostess gretted me and I asked for takeout and she pointed me in the right direction. The restaurant had only very few people. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, it had taken me a long time for my order but she was patient. After my order was taken, the food was ready in less than 15 minutes. And after I had finished paying, the hostess and I were talking about finding mechanics/car repairs are few and far between. Well to say the least the same can be said also for restaurants as well because of the people who work behind the scenes and how they treat others. And in this restaurant, they have done their job wisely and attentively.

I stayed at a Hotel around the Corner, for 7 weeks for Work. I ate here often. Very consistent quality. Food Quality has always been really good. Even the NY Strip, and Steak and Eggs is as good as any Fine Italian Restaurant. Definitely a quality Juicy Steak, with the Checkered Grill Marks. Chicken Parm is as good as any fine Italian Restaurant. Breakfast always Stellar. The Staff has been really welcoming, and made me feel like Family at times. Always have a really good experience.

Haven’t been here in a while came a couple days ago. The food they make here is pretty good. One of the diners that don’t burn the bacon and the pancakes are fluffy lol. I’d stay away from the pastries and stuff they buy from the outside. Ordered a blueberry muffin and got a corn muffin with one blueberry on the bottom lol.

I am a bit disappointed because I feel the quality in food has gone down, but at least the staff always remains friendly and attentive. I have passed by this diner hundreds of times going back to when Empire Casino was Yonkers Raceway but never stopped in to eat until this year. I've always admired the nostalgic neon & bulb sign and am glad that the food matched up with the ambiance of the diner. The fried calamari I had was perfectly breaded and lightly seasoned. The service was swift and polite and the owner/manager made sure to ask us how everything was and we exchanged small talk while paying at the front register. Small details like this keep customers. Their desserts looks AMAZING... gotta go back to get a slice of the chocolate cream pie!

It's alright, but one problem is you dont have many choices in the area. Supposedly the diner down the hill headed towards Kimball ave is better....
