Atmosphere? It's a takeout restaurant. Food? Always magnificent; moist and tender oxtail. Jerk chicken and pork not too much jerk (spiced right). Brown stewed chicken. Classic! It is damned expensive, so it would not be my every day stop. Still, fantastic food.

The food in this location is so delicious. It is fresh and you get the feeling of eating homemade food when you eat from here. The jerk chicken is soaked in flavor and super tender. The staff is so nurturing and homey. I absolutely love visiting this location so if you are in the area it is highly recommended.

Prices went up probably due to Covid. I had the stew peas but it was too salty, meat tough and the rice hard. High blood pressure customers should avoid this dish. Usually, they are very good but yesterday's meal was disappointing.

The food we ordered was for a student gathering. I was at first confused by the size I was told the order would be for the price, but the pan size that were delivered were more what I had envisioned. The staff and students raved about the oxtail. The beef patties were spicy for some, but overall very good. The size of the 3 pans (oxtail, rice w/beans, and beef patties) ordered were great for the 15 people who came to eat. The delivery was close to the time requested due to the large campus we were on. The delivery man was kind enough to carry the food inside and bypass those who wanted the food to go into their rooms (that's how good the food smelled!). Overall the students were happy which made the experience well worth it!

I think that Jamaica Kitchen has the BEST homemade beef patties in Yonkers - hands down. I do have to point out as many others did, the service itself is hit or miss. The first time I walked in, I was helped by someone who seemed like he didn't want to be bothered - bad attitude/energy and he also gave me the wrong amount of change (owed me like $1.50). But, I did go today and I was helped by a friendly gentleman and will certainly be back.

I give 3 stars for the flavors, tastes, and authenticity of selections. The food once received, is delicious. I would give the whole 5 stars if they were a kind and attentive business, but they are quite careless when it comes to packaging, hospitality and preparation. However, I wasn't able to give these 3 stars until my 3rd delivery order because first time order was completely wrong and no utensils and napkins, 2nd order was missing items i obviously paid for (never got them) and again, no utensils and napkins, 3rd order, had to cancel because they did not have anything left on menu of what I ordered, and actually on all of these orders, I received a call to be advised that items I ordered were listed on menu, but they ran out. ALL 3 TIMES. I had to choose fast and hope I would like; fortunately, I did.. I guess that says something about the food and flavor but, preparation is everything, especially if you know your volume of clientele. I will continue to enjoy this place, and keep pushing for better hospitality and preparation. Spread Love yall.

On a scale of 1-10 Food 7 Service 7 Delivery 4 Let me warn you...you will not get the plate you want (gravy on rice, adequate amount of meat) unless you go to the store. The delivery is slow, plate stingy and it costs two dollars extra for the delivery.

The Jamaican kitchen was a pleasant experience. This restaurant is a small takeout, The capacity is two tables to sit. Their cuisine is Jamaican and South American. From my experience the staff is friendly and courteous and the environment is clean and cozy. The cost is mediocre or not too expensive not too cheap I rate this place five-star because of all the properties explained example the cleanliness the taste of the food and the friendly service that I received. The Jamaican kitchen is located North main Street in Yonkers New York.

Ackee and salt fish is good (not salty which is a plus because I get to add a little more salt on my own). Delivery is fast depending on where you live. The lady is spoke to on the phone was really nice (shocker lol). I haven’t tried anything else from them which is why I had to give them 4 stars.

I've been dining here for many years now and I must admit that they have improved in both the quality of the food and the appearance of the restaurant. It is one of my favourite spots to eat, especially because of their thursday stew peas offering.

Hello. I'm from out of town. I googled Jamaican restaurant near me and your establishment came up. My family order the typical Jamaican dishes for dinner ie; oxtail, curry goat and stew peas with rice. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Everything was excellent, the meats were flavorful and succulent with just the right amount of seasoning. The service was outstanding, "unfortunately I did not get the name of the young man that served us". Looking forward to more dinners while in the area. Thank you very much. Denzil Simmonds
