Breakfast at IHOP on central avenue. Family breakfast time last week. The staff was friendly and patience. The food was great. The temperature of the food hot, but not too hot. Coffee temperature hot, but not too hot. A great family atmosphere. Great food and good conversation. Highly recommend.

I know this is the house of pancakes but this is a place my family likes very much me not so much. The only breakfast food I eat is the classic NY bacon or sausage egg and cheese . I try to always give places a shot with their steak but wow.... This is not it . I asked for medium rare and got well done super dry and had a dusty texture. The kids and the wife loved their food but that steak hurt my soul. Now I know it's my fault for ordering a steak at IHOP but it's also their fault for having it on the menu. 4 stars only because everyone is nice and the kids and wife enjoyed their food . JS get a burger instead

This IHOP is located in a strip mall, so there's plenty of parking. I was there during the week, so we didn't have to wait to be seated. This has the usual menu. The food came out the way I ordered it, which was a big plus for me. The staff was pleasant. This particular location was decorated for both autumn and Halloween, so that made it feel less 'commercial.' Worth a try.

Tuesday February 21st 2023 12:30 p.m. I like going to IHOP on West 232st Street and Broadway. It looks much better than the past and much. So the pandemic help them clean up the Bathrooms were clean. I had the new vanilla french toast. It did not taste like vanilla at all and, that was very disappointing. The coffee is bland like always And that's where a half and half regular flavoring. The atmosphere is nice and calm. Waitress was very helpful. My brother had a great time there he just loves the place

We were seated right away, which was the good part. The waitress was nice and checked to see if we needed anything but there was a problem with all of our orders. Maybe someone was having a bad day. I am willing to give this location 1 more chance.

Very busy but still received excellent 5 star service. Food was perfectly prepared and very delicious. I like salsa on my omelets and requested extra. Unlike most restaurants my waitress brought me several extra salsa packets, enough for the entire omelet. Only down side to this place is the prices are higher than most IHops.

Overall just a ok experience. Stopped by here for a quick bit . The food was not bad . There was a long wait for food . The server was super busy due to the fact she was the only one working the section. Overall all a ok experience.

Hello folks, let me start by saying that I generally don't bother posting anything other than a five review so this way you know that anything that I'm visiting is worth visiting. Today after running a lot of errands I stopped into IHOP on Central Park Avenue and I found it to be very clean, my server Dessire was exceptional, and most importantly the Chef Giovanni presented my food to me with an Elegance that breakfast should have. it was simple but the plate was clean and it was arranged perfectly and besides that it tasted great. I've seen other reviews on here but I would suggest giving a second shot because it's worth it.

Tiff Star was amazing customer service at its best. Melissa on the other hand was very rude, poor customer service skills and has absolutely no respect or regards for the paying customers allergies. Rudely disregarded us pointing out what we were allergic to , refused to get us a new server/ manager then went to giggle with her coworker about the situation. Tiff Star like the super woman she is came in and saved the day/experience. A plus one customer experience served by Ms. Tiff Star!!!

Our server was in the weeds but she tried. Gave us one wrong item at first and said she would be back with my side of pancakes. Eventually came back with the correct omelet but never got my pancakes. I didn't need them but it would've been nice to have the option.

The food is not that well prepared. You feel rushed the moment u sit down. The food came to us cold / Luke warm waiter got husband order wrong, He didn't want to sent back because we were brought up not too in fear of what they do in the back. Went for my daughter 10th bday. However will say waitress was very nice.

We visited this location for the first time and it was a delight. Our server Caroline at table #92, was just wonderful and made our time extra special. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for spring, making the ambience quite lovely. The staff we encountered were courteous and respectful an overall made this a great experience. The food was actually served hot, which is a rarity at the other locations I've visited. We will definitely be coming back in the near future

We came here with the family as a party of 10 on New Year's Day and we were seated pretty quickly. The waitress who served us very polite and very accommodating with our requests, even though she was also very busy with other tables. Occasionally we had to ask twice for certain things, but that was understandable. There was lots of options to choose from in the menu and all the portion sizes were huge. It was a very satisfying meal.

IHOP breakfasts never fail me. Always consistent. This one is located in a strip mall right off a bus stop. The food was excellent and the waiter was friendly. The actual restaurant was a bit dated especially the decor with the fake flowers. Otherwise the food was great. French toast is always my go to breakfast food and there were so many different types to choose from. The wait time wasn't too long either. I enjoyed it. Would definitely return when I'm in the area.

Food was okay. The waitress did a very good job. The problem was sitting in one area where everyone was. The next problem was waiting to pay for my food, I could have walked out. There was no one by the registers or the front door and it took over 5min for someone to appear.

The food was overall pretty good, although a bit too expensive for what we got. I gave this a three star because there were physical contaminants in our drinks, (Eyelash and a Piece of plastic) not to mention one of the staff members smelling like weed. But overall our server was pretty polite and attentive.

This place it a hit or miss, one day the service can be excellent and on other days it can be the worst service ever. This place is suitable for a small or median size family but not big groups. The restrooms are wheelchair accessible and so is the entrance. If it is busy you might wait 20-45 minutes.

IHOP A true American classic breakfast place! You like delicious sausage, bacon, ham, pancake, potatoes & so much more! You may feel that they take too long. But, no one is pushing you out. While waiting enjoy the coffee with that fresh aroma and great taste! What is special about IHOP is you can have breakfast at lunch or dinner! The server's are always professional and very busy.

Great service at this location. It was an older location, but clean. Food was excellent, we were a large group but served quick. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this location.

I like that they do not have a rug like most IHOP . The omelettes are smaller then the original omelettes from years ago, but it was tasty, cooked just right and fluffy. I like the fresh fruit options well except for strawberry. Staff are usually friendly and attentive, I have gotten some that you can tell are over people lol I get it. This iHOP is clean and usually not packed.

IHop wasn't that crowded and our Double Bluberry Pancakes came out very fast. Problem was not enough help. I had to keep trying to find our Waiter to get the Beverages and some extras for us. Masks were worn by Servers but not asked of patrons nor any Vaccine questions upon entering. Time to pay, had to look for him again. There was loud music playing, annoying, and we found ourselves shouting over it. It was just OK.

Food was great server was great. One thing is The restaurant is very dirty, the doors and windows when you enter are dirty the seats are dirty there was a lot crumbs food and and dirt on the floor even the kids high chair were dirty with dried up food. The tables were sticky it was just very unsanitary. Food was great!!! Over all cleanliness was not up there at all! Needs a deep clean asap!

Waitress was cool. I didn't like that only one section was open at the time, but, beggars can't be choosers. I didn't knock a star off because it could have been a number of things out of management's Control. I cannot get mad at short staffed establishments. Food wise, I had a delicious flavored burger and my fiancé had a breakfast combo. Pancakes were delicious. This is our go to iHop. For sure.

Homey experience. The interior color scheme of this IHOP is a bit monotone, that gives off a dull feeling, but service is good. The servers and staff are mostly friendly and if not just straight faced. During peak hours the service may be a bit slower than liking. Overall a likeable experience.

This IHOP location needs to hire more staff, but food is great. Parents also need to be mindful and considerate of other patrons. Kids screaming and listening to a show loudly on a phone isn't appropriate. The manager should walk around to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Food is always good, but personally the service could’ve been better. There were a few hiccups. I had asked for home fries and got told that they didn’t have any so I settled for French fries then a few moments later a family walks in and when their food arrived, home fries 🙃. I asked for cheesy scrambled eggs, I got just eggs. I didn’t get any extra syrup for my pancakes, the waitress was barely around to even ask for more. So it’s the little things for me. And no it wasn’t busy.

The meal was good. The waitress was decent. The time between checking the table was a little too long. The tables were cleaned but there was food on the floor under several tables. 3.5.

The food was great as usual but at first I received my dish with avocado and the avocado looked dry and cook on my omelette. So I mentioned that to my waitress and she got me fresh avocado without a issue and that's always awesome. Make sure the customer is pleased with their meal and a great tip is bound to follow. I will definitely be coming back here.

They know they get busy on weekends, still it wasn't fun having a 20 min wait. But the time they told us and others was accurate, and our table was relatively clean and spacious when we were seated. The women's restrooms were also clean, men's not so much. Food was good, came out in a timely manner and tasted nice, everything well cooked and hot. But the coffee I ordered was served in a plastic cup due to lack of clean mugs, and our server was slow - had to get up multiple times to ask for the cheque etc.. Could never see her on the floor. (no wonder they have a long wait time - make it hard for people to pay up and leave!)

The food was delicious! The wait was reasonable and the front staff was welcoming and warm. The server was attentive and friendly! However, the restaurant did not appear very clean. The floor needed to be swept and moped. The decoration seem dingy and need an upgrade or a deep clean. I did not like to hear profanity and yelling ( playing around) coming from the kitchen or from staff sitting by the kitchen table. Otherwise, I've been coming to this location a long time and hope they will continue to set standards that will make the experience an enjoyable one.

Overall, the visit was ok. The big steak omelet was good. However, the side order of toast was cold and soft, it did not resemble toast that was fresh out of the toaster. We wanted a strawberry milkshake, but they were out of ice cream, so no milkshake...

The food was good but the service was horrible. She took her time to take care of us. It wasn't even busy. She was supposed to take the drink order first...she didn't. By the time we decided what we wanted we still had to wait about 10 minutes for her to take our orders and our drink order. So the drink order was taken with the food order. I had to keep asking the waitress for refill of my drink and even at that she took forever to bring me the drink. I had to ask her twice. She didn't bring us water either. I asked one of the bus guys to get me water and nothing. When she took our orders I specifically told her no onions or pickles in my sandwich and no salt in my fries.....there were all that stuff I didn't want on there. Thank God I am not allergic to any of the things that I requested not to be put on or in my food. So disappointed because I also requested a good waitstaff. If I go back I will request a manger to sit us. The stars are only for the food.

I just had a the most delicious meal I've ever had. Just ordered a gluten free waffles with eggs and sausage. They were delicious. The waffles taste good with such texture of crunchy exterior and soft interior. The eggs and sausage were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend people to eat at IHOP.

Food was seasoned well. Service was friendly. My only minor complaint was that there were no condiments on our table, and IHOP usually has things like syrup, sugar, salt, pepper, ketchup readily available at the tables already once you're seated.

It's ok. Could be better tho. The food takes too long. If you're really hungry, by the time your food arrives, you're already passed out. Since it's the nearest, I keep visiting, but I always make sure to eat a snack before.

thetrur server Michelle was great and the food was decent. However, we still had to wait even though there were plenty of empty tables. It was like they were bunching everyone in a certain area of the restaurant. When the hostess said our table was ready, it wasn't so I'm not sure why she had us come in only to stand on the side to watch them half way clean the table and seats. The floor under the table was filthy. It was slow so it shouldn't have been looking like that. If it wasn't for the bright cheery service from Michelle I would have given them only one 🌟

I came here with my daughter for the elf on the shelf menu. We visited on a saturday, so it was pretty busy. However it took over 5 minutes for the hostess to come back to the front desk for him to get our name. Once seated took another 15 minutes, before our waitress arrived.The food also took awhile before we got it. I understand we went on a saturday but still service seemed really slow. The food was good however, which is what is most important. However, a word of caution my daughter thought the elf on the shelf junior pancakes were to sweet. I agree, they add whipcream and a syrup that tasted and looked like sweet vanilla frosting. Overall not impressed.

Love coming to this IHOP the closed kitchen is so much better I don't leave smelling like a griddle. The staff is for the most part always polite and honest about their new dishes. They also allow you to tweak your meal to your needs. Will continue to come back for those great crepes!

3 stars for the big IHOP in Central Avenue Yonkers by the Barnes and Noble because this restaurant was like a ghost town once you enter. They had people eating at the tables but the entrance is so gloomy and isolated. Went in and waited 5 minutes before I got up to find a table to sit at. The host was in the bathroom but no one covered for him. The staff seemed very unhappy and it reflects on the restaurant. Sad to see them like that in the morning hours. I wonder what the rest of the day is like?

I have been here 3 times. Food was good. Service was fine. The line to get a table is the big negative on weekends. Clean bathroom. Free parking. Atmosphere is dull. It does not fell like an IHOP. The waiting area is tiny, with a line out the door. Difficult walk to get in if you are older or handicapped. It is worth a try. Kids eat free certain nights, discounts for seniors and refills. It is not well run, management is weak. The place gets busy!! It is IHOP. WE GO ONLY FOR THE PANCAKES. RIGHT? LOL.

Well on that particular day it was great. The new omelette they had on the menu with steak avocado onions.....OMG. Maybe it was the cook because usually the food here is mediocre compared to other locations. It didn't take long for us to be served and we left very happy.

Since most of New York is opened back up you can expect watered down coffee and pancakes smaller than usual. Somewhere in between silver dollar and standard stack. Smedium. The service is still good though.

I go to this IHop often the price is right for quick bite,n they have a wide selection of kids menu nothing Fancy pancakes to no end, deliciouse fries n waffles.very roomy,lots of booths to sit w family..However I went the other day 2hrs before closing n I had the unfortunate exp of my order being mixed up..I had a hair in my food n on the honey mustard dipping sause..I told waitress who messed up my order n gave me a kids meal size instead of a regular size ckn fngrs n fries...Too much to say but My waitress was Very pleasant n correct what she could..Sha Sha the Clown comes during a week day she is So much fun for the kids. Go see her...Just dont go right before closing staff is tired( I dont blame them) n they want to rush the service in cluding the Chef who over cooked the food..

It was my birthday we came in for the $6 95 new IHOP deal on the burgers I got net email earlier in the day from the store too bad they said they wouldn't honor it however they did give us unlimited fries and she gave us bacon on their burgers. The burgers were good

The food is great the servers are on point the two changes were made that does make us a large go their any more the coffee flavor has change and the portion go smaller we stick to a regular dinner from now one ,it understandable it might a financial reason but it not for us any more .

This ihop is amazing best service ever! The manager treats everyone like family. Servers are very attentive and respectful. Food is always fresh & hot. Prices are affordable. This ihop is worth the wait. My husband and I have been coming here for years because of how well we’re treated every time we come. We travel from the Bronx by the yankee stadium, so worth the trip!

I really like I HOP. I also like people. Sometimes I know life is not so kind to us and when we're at work, customer service is so important. I would like to see a smile behind the pain. It won't hurt I promise. I do it every day. The young girl whose smile was upside down was catering to me and my mom. Mom didn't handle it to well, but I knew if I gave that waitress a top anyway, She would have a smile. Little things mean alot. I hope I get a smile the next time. Have a great day.

Great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Food selections are quite varied from super sweet to great healthy choices. The fruit selections could be better and in season, but at least fruit is offered. Overall, very good experience. Just be aware this is a very popular location with wait times that can be long especially on weekends and holidays.

The pancakes are good. Wait for for food after you sit down was 45 minutes. Soda, once you add tax and tip, ends up costing $5. Omelets are way over priced because they need to charge you for the free pancakes. Any Diner would be cheaper and better.

The only reason I visit this particular IHOP is because of my kids. They always want to eat here when we are on Central Avenue. The place is run by young adults. The gentleman who seated us had on tight skinny jeans that were sagging. ugh. The air conditioning is always up to high - we always order hot chocolate to warm up while waiting for our food. they hired a clown for the younger children but the clown had a persistent cough that sounded like she had emphysema. I've only visited in the evening, maybe the service, temp and clown antics are better during the earlier hours. I'll never find out because I'm never going back (unless the kids beg me)

Pancakes have no flavor. And they don’t always open on time. Suppose to open at 7am and 7:30am still were not opened. Waited 30min and no one was there. Besides those negatives the servers are nice and friendly

Been here a few time food has been good the only issue I have had is the long wait times and the crowded waiting area. A few times we have left when they say it's 30 minute wait because from experience it turns out to be longer than that . Service at the table has been good as well.

I have to say I'm not a big ihop fan but I dabble once in a while. I will say my last visit there went quite well. They have a jalapeno omellete thing going on and it was delicious. My server Patricia was very pleasant and made me feel comfortable with conversation. Keep it up Ihop.

The staff is very professional although the food took a little longer to get to our table, our children who are very picky eaters end up eating everything. They also have kids eat free at a certain time, on the main door there's a flyer posted.

The one on Central Ave by party City is really great with food and staff. Have no been in an Ihop since kids were small. Truly enjoyable. You may need to wait to get table but well worth it.

I never had an such an amazing experience at IHOP. My server was great we had a party of six he didn't write down any of the orders and got everything exactly right it was roomy unlike some of the IHOP's when they're tight it's uncomfortable but this one was a great experience

An iHop is an iHop wherever you go. I was here pretty early on a Saturday, 8 ish, and there was no wait. Service was fast. Pancakes were perfect. Warm and fluffy and not crisp like they had been under a heat lamp for awhile like Duke iHops I have been at. Scanned eggs were not so great, but my wife's combo was perfect

Wife and I just love iHop!...the price is right and the food is just fine!. So, whats not to like?... the only problem we have with iHop is that its "fattening!"... So, what did you expect, to eat there and lose weight?...you've gotta be realistic pal!. And, the coffee refills, just keep coming and coming!.. Good for not only breakfast, but for ANY time of the day!.. So, for the money, there's not much better, especially if you like breakfast, lunch or dinner!.. I only hope they NEVER go out of business!...
