It was very good in almost all major areas . Came here for Valentines day and they didn’t disappoint me ! The place was decent but honestly could be better considering the prices they offer but to me that is the least important. Now lets talk food , it was good 8/10 (very good ) but it didn’t impress me specially at the 20$ or more per plate. I was expecting more but nonetheless still worth it in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and nice and attentive :D I have nothing to complain about it really , they treat their customers right! Overall I would recommend this place if you like Italian food and don’t mind spending a buck . I went with my girl and we paid an average of 30$ per person for the meals.

Awesome home made Italian flavor in a casual atmosphere. Corner location is excellent. The veal was one of a kind . Service was on point as well. Last time was June(I live in Miami) Visited again in Sept: Got the seafood pasta. It was over the top. Very fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. Then watermelon mozzarella with vinegret was also quite impressive. Definitely my top Italian destination.

Outstanding service at a wholesome restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you are at someone’s home. And the staff with their cheerful friendly attitude help you stay with that warm feeling. Regarding the food, it’s delicious. This was our second visit so we recommend the Mussels, the eggplant rolatini, the chicken bow tie pasta. They have a wide selection of nice wines and cocktails. Overall a hearty experience and we can hardly wait for our future visits.

First time at this restaurant last night and we loved everything about it. From the lovely service we received by the friendly staff the moment we walked through the door, to the delicious appetizers, main course, all through to the dessert! (Not to mention great drinks!!) We felt at home being here and so welcome. Highly recommend. You will not leave disappointed. Thank you Nuno for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! 😊

We live nearby and have been driving past DeCosta’s for years. We finally stopped in with friends for dinner. So glad we did! We all loved the food and the service could not be better. The owner gave special attention to all diners. We look forward to going back and highly recommend!

Despite the current atmosphere as of this writing, this place made us feel safe and comfortable with their 50% capacity and proper health guidelinrs. Staff were very attentive to our requests and wait time was very short. Food is amazing especially with their seafood. Serving size is nothing to scoff at as well. A great experience even with the restrictions. Hope to come again soon.

I was recommended this restaurant by Yonkers Honda where is located next door. I went there for lunch during off-peak time and found out it was very nice and cozy with quiet ambience. I ordered traditional version of Spaghetti Carbonara which is “off-the-menu” and special. The owner said he can make an either traditional one (creamy) or non-traditional one (non creamy), so I chose the first one. It was so delicious and excellent with a lot of pieces of onion and Canadian bacon. The service is also pleasant and comfortable with low key which I like. And especially it is note-worthy that the owner’s son was serving in everything and he did quite a good job. It’s very cool to see. If you are around Yonkers neighborhood and love Italian foods, this is the one you should go. Highly recommend this simply fabulous local Italian restaurant!

I love this place. It's not too small but it's cozey. The food is excellent. I love to order the shrimp oreganta or the chicken ala Nona dish. The staff is attentive and friendly. It has parking and is right off the exit to the cross county parkway.

Excellent service, familiar ambiance, yet appropriate for a little romance. I've been to this restaurant a few times, and I've always come out satisfied. I have even ran into friends here, because is just the kind of place where you will for sure go back. Food is good, prices are fair, the tiramisu is to die for. Friendly bartender excellent service delicious food. Had the mussels in white wine and garlic, they were tender and sweet. Had the Burrata it came with sundried tomatoes, prosciutto and a port wine reduction. Also had the chicken franchise with vegetables and potato croquette. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. Plenty of off street parking.

I've been going to DeCosta's for years. Not on a regular weekly basis, but often enough. I wish reviewers could give quarter or half stars because I believe DeCosta's is between four and five stars. We have had parties of up to 14 people at the restaurant which was handled well by the wait staff and the kitchen. It isn't that big so a large group or two will limit walk in seating. I suggest a reservation. The food is always good. If you're someone that orders the same meal everywhere you might not say it's the best you ever had. But it's good. The portions are good. The cost per dish are competitive. The wait staff are usually friendly, polite, and attentive. There is a bar that you can sit at to enjoy a meal or just a drink. They provide a good beer and wine selection as well as mixed drinks. And like I said, if you have the same drink everywhere you go you might not say theirs is the best, but it's good. A complete desert menu give you a variety to choose from, all very good. And while it may not have that five star ambiance and can be noise depending on the time or day, it is a solid restaurant year after year. A good choice for dinning out.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The service was great! Everyone was very attentive. The food was very delicious. The Eggplant Pisa appetizer was amazing! I also enjoyed the atmosphere. You can tell it's family run. The restaurant wasn't too crowded for a Saturday night, but I noticed a lot of take out orders. The meals did take a long time to come out. I wasn't in a rush, so that didn't bother me too much.

The food is always good whether you go the restaurant or order for delivery. Many times when we have ordered, they have added extra salads or deserts - very generous with their customers. Must try this place. Been passing by it for years but never stopped in. Thoroughly enjoyed the clams oreganata and Veal Nonna style. Fresh and excellently prepared. Seating is nicely distances so that even inside you feel comfy and safe. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

Food was very good, except pasta fazool was watery and had no taste. I had had it on my previous visit there and it was very good. For $9 for a small bowl it certainly wasn't worth it. My only disappointment. The service is phenomenal and the waitress is very attentive. Everything from the bread to the meatballs and vegetables was great.

Really good family style Italian restaurant. My go to place in Yonkers to eat with friends. Has a nice neighborhood vibe. Better than average red tablecloth type food at reasonable prices and a nice wine list. Friendly service. Not necessarily a destination place, but is you want a good comfortable place to eat with friends and you are in the area you cannot go wrong here. Always a good experience and a nice meal.

What a great find. I was looking for a restaurant in the area near my mothers assisted living home. The eggplant fritters were so flavorful and light I must go back for more. Fish and chips were superb. The chips were freshly fried thinly cut potatoes and the fish was delicate and crispy. The cheese ravioli was like my Italian grandmother made. Now I must go back.

Maybe it's because o love in an area dominated by Italian food. Maybe it's because I drive a long way to get here. But either way I found the food to be unimpressive. The service was good and quick which I would expect considering how empty it was. I had a little bit of terrible finding the entrance because I used Google and it's on a triangularly shaped corner lot. I wouldn't tell anyone to not go to this place but if you're a lover of Italian food you might be disappointed.

Food is great, service is awesome. This is a very family friendly restaurant and will gladly get pasta and butter...raviolis ...juice etc to little ones quickly. At the same time we can have a nice night out kid free and have it be cozy and romantic. It's casual and the specials are always a good pick as well as having old reliables. Good wine list, tartufo, gelato and a bread pudding that rocks.

Molto delizioso! Decosta's has excellent authentic Italian food, not like the fake stuff you get at Olive Garden and other chain restaurants. The food is phenomenal and the service is always extraordinary. I love seafood and usually get a fish special. My husband loves the shrimp parmigiana. These dishes are consistently delicious and always fresh. I would have to say that this is the best restaurant in Yonkers for fresh fish and seafood dishes. I would not pay attention to any bad reviews. Those who give bad reviews for this restaurant are obviously accustomed to low standards where you get a lot of food but it's not good food. The food portions are just right and always delicious and reasonably priced. If you want a deal here try the pasta night specials every Wednesday. They are inexpensive and well worth it. DeCosta's is especially great for parties of up to 30 in the party room and catering off the premises. My family, friends and myself are always very pleased with the delicious food, service of the staff and the owners Nuno and Pedro who always come to your table to make sure you're satisfied every time you are there. Nuno and Pedro are very pleasant gentleman and are always so accommodating to all guests. Come here and enjoy authentic Italian food just a short drive from Empire City down Yonkers Avenue, and close to the Cross County Mall. They have free parking on the premises. Check it out. I only leave reviews when places were outstanding. DeCostas became my favorite Italian restaurant by far after just two visits. You Everything comes out perfect. Love the calamari, eggplant rollintini, and chicken parm. Absolutely delicious I suggest this place to everyone. I’m Italian and very picky when it comes to Italian food that isn’t cooked by me. The sauce is phenomenal and the service is too.

Even when you’re not here you’re family. Found out about something that I wanted to celebrate at the last minute. Called up near the dinner rush to reserve a table and they did it with no problem. Pedro and his team are top notch. The Best Italian food in Yonkers, NY! Entire staff is extremely friendly, well trained, excellent at the service they provide and the food is made to order NEVER reheated. Wether it's dinner for two, couples or you want to impress for a party or celebration this is the place to go. It takes you back to when you were sitting around the table with family enjoying the home cooked meals. Desserts are very good as well so save room for it! Entire menu is delicious and can't go wrong with anything on it. Only problem you will have is to decide as to what you want to eat. If anyone doesn't enjoy themselves or food here should go back to those fake Italian Places with unlimited breadsticks and salad and stay there! FYI... Prego Sauce is NOT Italian nor eaten in Italy.

My aunt, uncle and I had a wonderful meal here tonight. It was their anniversary and I wanted a casual but tasty restaurant to celebrate. I am visiting from Florida; I found DeCosta's online since I'm not that familiar with Yonkers. Based on the high ratings, I decided we should give it a shot. It was very easy to reserve a table with OpenTable. As soon as I walked in, I knew I made a good choice. The young hostess (Brianna?, Breanna?) was very friendly. I told her how I found the restaurant and about the anniversary. The menu has great options. Each of us enjoyed our meals. We split the tiramisu which was beautifully presented and delicious. As the hostess left for the night, she stopped by our table to wish us goodnight and my relatives a happy anniversary. We closed out the restaurant but the staff were all friendly and we didn't feel rushed. A very nice young man named Nick waited patiently for us to get in our cars before closing the parking lot. If you want delicious Italian food in a cozy, friendly atmosphere with great customer service, you shoud give this plce a try. I will definitely be back.

It was mother's day so I made my appt for a special dinner. 1st time appt using 'Open Table'. So before attending that day I did call & confirm. It works! The host quickly found my name & party too. Always wanted to try D'costas glad I did. Table for 2x was quickly seated. But I we were alittle cramped they placed us right near staff grab all the utensils & table wear. There were other tables but I didn't make it a thing. Even though we were there early enough. I didn't know what to expect as a first-timer. Water decanter was brought to our table immediately. And were asked if we are interested in drinks. We ordered Cesar salad & beef barley soup. Cesar salad was unimpressive & the beef barley was very tasty. Apps ordered were Eggplant Rollitini & Clams Casino. Both were very delicious & compliments were made. Entrees were Chicken Parmigiana & Brazil lobster tail 6 oz. Again both were very good. 2x huge chicken breast fillets & sauce was great! My lobster tail & veggies was tasty also. Although I should've ordered it grilled & not steamed. For dessert, gelato coffee & chocolate ice cream. Each person recv'd 2 huge scoops in large ramekin. We splurge! Cappuccino to close things out & check pls! Total was $141- for 2x ppl at a really decent restaurant environment. The staff was really pleasant, seemed happy to oblige all patrons & even knew some by first names. It's what you want from a place this cozy. Not just one server/waiter helped us we had a combination of staff. Which is fine w/me & truly shows efficiency w/management of staff. They also all seemed to get along & work cohesively. We will be back real soon, muy delicioso! One for the books indeed!

Anniversary Celebration My family had dinner at this restaurant today. Besides our usual appetizers we ordered the lump crab dip. It was delicious! I ordered Capellini with Crab Meat & Shrimp. I don't usually order capellini at any restaurant. I asked the waiter if the chef will cook it al dente. He assured me that he will. I'm not a fan of red sauce on any type of fish. When it was served I immediately had a negative thought to myself. Was I mistaken. The sauce complemented the dish. It did not overpower the crab and shrimp. This dish was bursting with flavor. We all loved our choices. The service was the best, the waiter was pleasant and friendly. I want to thank him for serving the capellini al dente. Highly recommend. My compliments to the chef!

EP Rollantini pretty good. Chicken Scarp fair with sauce disappointing. Veal Alla Nonna excellent and sauce terrific. Asked waiter for mixture of sweet and hot peppers with veal dish and it was perfect, to my taste. Very nice friendly service but a little slow even though not very crowded.

This is my favorite restaurant. I have gone there for the past few years on Christmas Eve for our family celebration and the food and service are always excellent. A coworker of mine is constantly raving about the food here so when “date” night with the hubby came up we decided to try it. We did not make reservations and although they were jamming when we got there, we sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks before we were seated. The service in this place is by far one of the best I have every experienced. They were attentive without being overbearing. When we asked for suggestion on their wine selection, they were very knowledgeable. We ordered clams oreganto and pumpkin polenta, which were both delicious. For dinner, my husband order grouper, which he noted, was fresh and delicious. I ordered their famous chicken Nona that my coworker is raving about and boy I have to say this is now my absolute favorite chicken dish. For dessert, we had their homemade crème Brule and again were not disappointed. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we will definitely be repeat customers. The food and service were on point so we could not ask for anything more. Oh, I guess being reasonably priced was also an added reward!

DeCosta's is basic Italian - dependable. It's not a place you would drive a distance to go to but it is the kind of place you are really happy to have in your backyard. Esp in this section of Yonkers where the pickings are slim. It's a good option for a comfortable low key date night with your relationship partner. Stick to the standards -Get the Eggplant Lasagna (the best dish on the menu!)

I went here on Christmas Eve. The place was busy, lots of locals you could tell. I ordered lamb. It was cooked perfect and that's too me is very important. Wine by the glass went very well. Must try out again

I have driven by this restaurant for such a long time.I actually thought it was a diner type of restaurant never had any idea it was an Italian restaurant.anyways a friend of mine suggested it,I have to say I was very hesitant about going I’m a very picky foodie.from the moment we walked in and sat down it felt right.excellent service.we had the tuna ceviche delicious and the cod fish very fresh and very delicious.this place is a hidden gem definitely coming back.I have eaten in so many (supposedly)great Italian restaurants but this place tops them very delicious and it felt and tasted very close to a home cooked meal.

Frigatoni Polognese was very good and filling. My sister wasn't that hungry and ordered chicken off of the kids menu which was less than expected. The pasta is homemade and delicious. The meat sauce added a lot of flavor to my Frigatoni.
