I was in the area and came in for dinner. Food was excellent. They have all the Italian classics you would want and dishes can be ordered individually or family style. The pictures I took are of individual portions, which are generous! Cesar salad was fresh and well dressed. Chicken parm was delicious. Cannolis were perfect. Staff was very friendly. Overall a great value. Our table did not order this, but I saw many other tables order the NY strip steak, which was very large and came sliced. The steak seems to be a very popular dish and looked delicious.

Went here for a Birthday party in the upstairs room. Wait staff is great. Very attentive. Cocktail was ok but I think most people here get a half carafe of wine . Pretty good. I had the Shrimp FRA Diavolo with fettuccine. Very tasty and brought leftovers home. There's complimentary bread with butter or oil . They are wheelchair friendly. And when you bring out the Birthday cake the waitstaff plays Happy Birthday to You by Stevie Wonder. Friendly place. Good for parties. Old school menu. They have a parking lot.

Hubby's sister wanted to take us out to her favorite restaurant. She insisted we meet her here for lunch. Was pleasantly surprised. The outside does not look like much. It just looks like a local pizza joint. The upstairs is the sit down area and it was packed! There's a 3rd level that has tables and a full bar. Alot of groups of different sizes. 2 Birthday celebration happened while we were there. :) We were a party of 6 and placed reservations ahead of time so we were seated immediately. The hostess was friendly and helpful. The waiter was friendly, helpful and patient. She and her hubby had their favorite meals that were no longer on the menu but they accommodated us, the Filet of Sole and Flank Steak. Cheesy Garlic Bread that everyone loved. Antipasto was good but becareful it's on a cutting board so no edges to prevent spills and the oil dripped on my blouse when they came to put it down on the table. (Dolop of Shampoo and a little rub, it came right out!) Spaghetti with meat sauce, Plain Steak and Steak with Mushrooms and Onion were the family order. The basics ;) Hubby and I are more daring with food. We had Pasta Fagioli and Lentil Soup. We thought it would be a cup or small bowl but we got 2 large bowl of soup which would have been a meal in itself hehe. Both were good. The specials of the day included Pork Shank and Black Seabass. Pork Shank was so tender you don't need a knife. Seabass was amazing! Definitely recommend it! It's been a week and I'm still remembering it 🤤

Just went again tonight. Order the gnocchi bolognese again! Went again last week! The gnocchi bolognese was amazing. Carlo's never disappoints. The food is delicious and the desserts even better! We tried a new dessert....it was really good. Our waitress was great as well.

Cute place, definitely a great date spot... Dim. Lightning very nice, the free bread was non stop! Food was amazing, I went with 9 people and everyone loved their meals, everything came out fast and hot and service was very friendly and attentive. Loved it, decent pricing, definitely can't wait to go back and try different things! Yum!

New review I gave them a 5 before but i don’t know if they are under new management but as of lately their food has not been what I was use to. Their grandma pizza has been horrible and I ordered calamari and it was rubbery. Baked clams was good still. It was one of my favorites but yeah major decline

We had a delicious dinner at Carlo’s Restaurant in Yonkers Norm was our waiter and he was not only gracious and professional but he recognized one of our friends and described him as the best high school music teacher he ever had! We were blown away by their family style chopped salad and everything we ate was exceptional. I had the citrus seasoned sesame salmon that was so good that I begged Norm to try to get the recipe from the chef! It’s a very casual restaurant with exceptional food at affordable prices. I was pleased to have our table surrounded by plexiglass! We felt safe and socially distanced while we celebrated our fantastic dinner.

Good food at a moderate price. I suggest a reservation. For more comfortable seating. First levels seating is tight to uncomfortable. They have lots of patrons so the earlier the better.

Yesterday, I ordered out for my folks and The food was absolutely delicious and worth the wait. Chicken Scarpielllo, Linguini & Clams, were hands down the best! Nice side of Garlic Bread with Mozzarella and potato croquettes. What a feast for a reasonable price! The new chef Giovanni is very polite, professional and aims to please your appetite. Believe it or not but their burger is amazing but tonight they cooked it super well done and killed it for me. Furthermore since I can't leave another review, my girlfriend and I have been ordering here for many years because yes the food is great however they keep messing my dinner up by either over cooking burgers or making me wait 15 minutes after I placed an order 35 minutes prior and still waited 15 minutes longer while they ran around in confusion, meanwhile my order was ready the entire time. This is now 3 times thats happens in a little over a month. Don't bite off more than you can chew guys. Thanks for killing another dinner for me. Save your free meal I don't want it.

The food here is always great but the service downstairs is the worst service I've ever experienced at a pizza place. Delivery was a disappointment as well - took two hours to get my order. I will keep coming here just because the food is always good but the staff are bozos!!! EDIT - I came here again the other day and the food was still excellent but unfortunately the service is still awful

So after Covid started haven't been able to go out with my son he's 13 and this is his favorite place so finally we went on a date and he was very happy, he said at Carlos Restaurant they have taken all the measurements and precocious to be covid safe from the moment you walk in plus Christie is an Amazing waitress there she knows him since he was little he feels like home here and the food is amazing we always end up taking home. Love this place ❤

Just a great family style restaurant I had the chicken Francesa sauce was excellent and the chicken was very tender. Could have been crispier with the breading but still good. The fried barrata was excellent with many contrasting flavors. You get creamy flavors from the pesto sauce acidity from the tomatoes, and sweet flavor from the peppers it's plated very well sad that I didn't take photo. I highly recommend eating upstairs due to how much traffic down stairs gets. Overall a really good Italian style restaurant and their pizzeria is my local choice.

I moved here recently, and I didn't really know what all the good places around me were. I'm so glad I noticed this place on Google maps. Already had great reviews, so I knew I wasn't taking much of a risk. Awesome pizza here (the pic is their Carlo's combo, I think that's the name). Their pizza is the only thing I've had so far, but if its taste is any indication, I'm sure they make everything really well. You won't regret getting food here.

I went to Carlos twice over the past few days and the food is good, wouldn't say it's great. It's small and cozy inside. Great bread for the table. House red wines are better than expected. Some issues we had were that they served us water in plastic cups and one of the cups was cracked and leaking - really weird that the person who brought them over didn't realize that - ended up with a big puddle on the table after we realized where the water was coming from. They took our order and got one person's completely wrong. By the time they brought the right dish out everyone else had finished eating and we just took it to go. Not cool. It's worth a try but don't think I'll be a regular. They do have delicious NY cheesecake though - I'll order that to go!

The first time the food arrived cold, I ordered yesterday May 19 22 and asked them to please send it hot. Again Food cold spoke to Nick ,Peter never called back. Too bad.

It is very difficult to impress me when it comes to Italian food. Im Sicilian, and I cook quite well, and I have been around many, many restaurants! Carlos Restaurant first impressed me while I was at a catered event. I quickly asked where the food was from. Now, I came in person and it was exactly what I was expecting. I hate spending money on food and coming home hungry or disappointed. Carlos restaurant made me feel very satisfied to say the least. Food is if quality, and the Tiramisu was homemade and outstanding! Great dessert menu. The only negative thing was that the tables were a little small, but not a deal breaker whatsoever.

I really enjoyed the meal that I got from this restaurant. They were a little mixed up in getting me my food but it was no big deal. The portions are huge, the food is delicious and the prices are fair. One minor complaint, it was particularly hot in the restaurant as you're getting the heat from the kitchen. But otherwise everything was great.

We LOVE Carlo’s!! The flavors and quality are amazing!! You can’t make this up. Fresh, hot and like homemade. If we’ve ordered ten times during the pandemic, our food was good on one occasion. Every other time has been amazing. Our bellies and tastebuds thank you. You’re going to spend a little more here but it’s worth it. Yesterday’s order was for two individual-sized dishes and a salad. Classic Italian cuisine good size portions

This place is very nice. A lot of good variety on the menu for true Italian dishes. The meals are mostly family style, although they recently added individual. The service is very knowledgeable and courteous. They are always very friendly. The establishment is divided into two areas, an upstairs newer, more modern seating arrangement, and the older, original seating area you see upon entry. Neither one is bad, its just a bit more comfortable upstairs. The small mall area its located at provides plenty of parking and easily accessible. The price is not bad at all. You will definitely leave here satisfied and without regret.

Love this restaurant! Went there once just to try it out, and have become addicted to their food. The price is very fair. Inexpensive, but not cheap. Their food doesn't give me gas like most other restaurants (sorry, but this is important to me). You'll spend about the same to maybe less than in Olive Garden, but much higher quality and better tasting food, IMO.

Went for a family party and as always Carlos Restaurant delivers some of the best food in Yonkers. Been going there since the 70's and well keep going. Our waiter was on top of things. He usually take care of us when we go there for family functions. Keep up the great work. My only complaint was it was too cold upstairs.

This is a moderately priced, very good, Italian restaurant. The food is classic Italian, nothing exotic, but consistently good. Great pizza too. I love eggplant parmesan and order it here often and it's excellent.The bread was excellent. The meatballs were delicious and they were gigantic the link weenie and clam's was off the hook.

I’ve heard great things about Carlos’ but my recent delivery experience was mediocre. I ordered a grandma pizza, mozzarella sticks and wings. The pizza wasn’t bad, but everything was cold so it wasn’t as enjoyable. The soda I ordered was forgotten, but the delivery driver was very nice and did go back to get it. I would certainly order food from here again but definitely dine in and I’d order something different.

This place is no doubt well-known to locals, and deservedly slow. For those just passing through it's in an awkward location and a little hard to find, but worth the effort. Their spaghetti carbonara is one of the best renditions of the dish I have ever had.

Carlo's offers VERY reasonably priced weekday lunch specials as well as both individual portions and ample Family Style portions (I saw a few dishes which looked as though they could easily feed 3-4 hungry diners). As for ambiance, it's not a romantic date night restaurant because, that's simply not what it is. It's a local, family friendly, delicious Italian restaurant with spot on food! The moment my friend and I sat down for lunch a large basket of hot crusty bread magically appeared on our table. Be forewarned, it would be easy to make a meal on their bread alone. My friend and I decided we'd get the Chicken Parmigiana and Filet of Sole Almandine and an order of sautéed Spinach to share. I requested spaghetti with garlic & oil and my friend had the linguini with tomato sauce. The waiter informed the kitchen that we were sharing our entrees and while we expected that we'd split them up at the table, when our food arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see that the kitchen had done it for us. The Chicken Parmigiana was some of the best I've had in years. A large thinly pounded cutlet, fried but not greasy, topped with their fresh tomato sauce and real mozzarella (not pre grated). The Filet of Sole was beautifully crusted with slivered almonds and came with julienned vegetables which were not overcooked. It was was simple, clean tasting, and delicious. The spaghetti with garlic and oil was loaded with perfectly sautéed garlic and the linguini with tomato sauce was tasty (house red sauce used on pasta and parmigiana dishes). What made us both happy was that the pasta was al dente. Even the spinach with garlic and oil didn't disappoint. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu and each had coffee, both of which were good. We will be going back next week and I think we'll try their pizza since we saw the waiter bring one to a table near us and it looked on point!

I want to thank Karla and the food crew at the pizzeria section at Carlo's for creating a hit for my goddaughter's baby shower.The 12 ft Italian hero was on point...all the special requests that I made were taken care of and accomplished.Everyone of those hungry guests at the shower party were pleased with the hero.You all are "HEROES" to me... you didn't disappoint !!!! I have ordered from the catering menu and ordered meals here many times and every time it 's been De-LISH !!!! Keep up the great and friendly service. Thank u all again !!!!!

Although I haven't been to Carlos Ina while it didn't surprise me at all that everything was up to par . I've been going there for over 25 yrs and never had anything bad. The food is great and has been consistent for a long time . The portions are large you will take some home . FYI they have plexiglass between tables I felt pretty safe

Just had a slice of pizza. It is as good as ever. I have been eating here since the late 1970s. Family owned and a fine place for eating good Italian Food. You can cater food from here, have a party or just enjoy pizza, pasta, wedges, chicken, veal, chops, salads, soups and desserts. The staff is friendly. Same location with decent parking. They are legendary in Yonkers, just across from RHS. Small bathrooms. Gets busy. Nice rooms for events. Carlos has been around for over 6 decades. You cannot find many places like this. Quality and fair prices too!.

Nice neighborhood pizzeria. I haven't been in the upstairs dining area, but I found the lower floor quite pleasant. I found the pizza to be quite good, but the mozzarella sticks were awful. I found the breading to be soggy and simply horrid in taste. I would definitely return for another slice, but I wouldn't go anywhere near those mozzarella sticks.

So I literally just ordered food from Carlos for the first time off of DoorDash for my entire family and the DoorDash driver decided to forget half of my order (driver was supposed to be female but a man under the influence showed up instead). The owner of Carlos’ had one of his drivers personally deliver the rest of our order to remedy the entire situation. Nothing better than a local restaurant that goes above and beyond for their customers. First time ordering food from them and I can’t imagine going anywhere else now. Not to mention, the food is amazing 🙌🏽

I had a dear friend from out of town, I asked him what would he love to try, he said Italian food! I had a perfect place, Carlo's because the food is sensational, and due to the Pandemic all booths and sitting arrangements are up to date with guidelines on Covid-19. I was extremely comfortable to sit with my guest and eat dinner. A delicious place I highly recommend, best part staff are bilingual 🥰

Tried Carlo's after a strong recommendation from coworker. Their food does not disappoint. Great portion, flavor, nice people. Service a little slow but worth the wait. I had their chicken parm which was out of this world. Not a place to take a date, but great food.

The food was great overall, but I was short 20 cents for an extra item that I ordered, and instead of saying it’s all good, It’s only $.20, no one will get rich off it, I had to walk all the way back outside to my car, in the rain, just to get a meaningless $.20. Maybe kind of meaningless to post this, but little thing like that go a long way for a repeated customer. Just saying.....

A local recommended this to us and we loved it. We got a chicken parmigiana sandwich and a lasagna for a roadtrip (weird, I know). It was a lot of food! It fed 2 of us for 2 separate meals and we still have food leftover! We are not light eaters either. We will be back.

Pretty great food, but not all the staff are approachable. One of the people who take orders when you come to get pizza needs a serious attitude adjustment. Service can take a while because since it's a popular spot lots of orders go through this place. Pizza is served downstairs while elegant dining is provided upstairs.

Food is ok. My best advice is to order to go. Waitress prefers be on the cellphone or joking around with coworkers and manager. We waited for long time to get the check. Drinks were not delivered. Busboy and hostess definitely do the work for her.

So happy that one of their specials was the seared scallops with a primavera rissoto which they let me change out for spaghetti (recently had a bad experience at a different restaurant). Loved their arugula salad with walnuts, cranberries and gorgonzola cheese and that bread! Yummy! Love Carlos

This is an awesome old school Italian restaurant. Think of it as a step between Arthur Avenue and a more modern Italian restaurant. The portions are huge here so go in expecting that. Food is very good and service is pretty quick. Overall a great place to go for dinner.

We arrived early last Sunday without a reservation. Our welcoming was gracious, and we were led to a choice table next to the windows overlooking the Hudson River. I've lived in lower Westchester for 20+ years and never heard of Carlo's until my neighbors told me about it. The food and service were great. The baked clams we're fresh, with just a bit of crispness on the top. Calamari was also freshly prepared and cooked perfectly. Steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Carlo's is a hidden gem in Yonkers. I'd eat here again.

Maybe the food when you eat IN the restaurant is OK, but I ordered delivery. It was a Sunday evening around 730PM and I ordered a meatball parm sandwich and mozzarella sticks. The order took well over an hour and I literally live a half mile down the road. The mozzarella sticks were cold and the meatball sandwich had zero flavor whatsoever and the meat itself was very dry and didn't seem to have any spices, breadcrumbs, or anything added to it to actually make it a meatball. More like someone just made some chop meat into a ball and baked it and over cooked it. I'm not saying I will never go back, but my first experience was not the most pleasant. *edit* since my initial review I decided to give the restaurant a second chance and have been back a few times to dine in. The few times I went I was more than satisfied. The waitresses have always been very polite and the food was served quickly. So far everything I've had in the restaurant was phenomenal. From the chicken parm to the chicken valdastano, the baked clams, and the shrimp parmesan. Everything was perfect and there are big portions that are served with a side of pasta. You will not leave hungry. I am adding another star since the food is so tasty. I live down the street so I see myself being back often.

The delivery service has improved! My husband and I considers Carlos as the place we love to hate. The food is excellent and delivery used to take forever. but the past few times we’ve ordered, we’ve been pleasantly surprised. Tonight we ordered chicken parm and the website said it would be 60-90 minutes.. they were here in 30! The past few deliveries have arrived earlier than expected too. I’ve had a few of their chicken dishes- Marsala, parm & francese and it has always been delicious- we always get croquettes or linguine with oil and garlic as the side. Penne ala vodka is amazing. The sautéed veggies such as broccoli, rabe and spinach is also tasty and not drowning in oil. Not a huge fan of their pizza but it’s not bad. We’ve dined here before too and it gets very packed and worth the wait. Always pleased with the food, portions are great, prices are great and most of all I’m happy delivery is so much faster.

Carlo’s has a pizzeria on their bottom level and a cozy casual restaurant on the street level. The portions are large, so get ready to take things home 🍝 the lasagne was deliciously baked and swam in a bowl of marinara (red-sauce) the cheese was quality. The meatball “side” were the size of small cars! The mixture of meats was perfect. The bread served to the table was soft, hot and seasoned like garlic bread. Very pleased and will definitely go back to try other dishes.

I live in Staten island where there are an abundance of Italian joints.. Not one of them compare to Carlos. Took two hours to get over the G.W. to get there but I was on a mission. Was there last night with my family and I must say that the food was delicious as usual. They moved us to a larger table. Even went out of their way to cook the steak half medium half well done. Management went above and beyond for us. Everything was just perfect. Every visit to Carlos is better then the previous one.

Carlos restaurant by far is the best Italian restaurant in my opinion and Yonkers. I have been going there for over 40 years pretty much once a week and the food is so delicious you will be surprised you might have to wait a little bit cuz they do get busy at times but the wait is worth it. And the waitresses and waiters are very good especially Stephanie she usually works downstairs and she is one of the few waitresses or waiters I have ever seen that can take multiple orders from people at a table I seen her take 10 to 14 people's orders at the same time and not mess up any of it so if you're there and you get Stephanie tell her that stan recommended her as your waitress and you will see what I am talking about how nice she is and she does not write nothing down and she does not get anything wrong. And the owner is Pete a very loving owner who is always there which is unusual because the owners are usually not at the places when you go but Pete loves this place and he takes care of is customers if there is a problem they will take care of it in a timely fashion usually there's not any problem but you never know. I hope everybody will enjoy Carlos restaurant like I have for the past 40 years. Thank you for listening to me about Carla's restaurant and I hope you enjoy your meal the next time you go.

Had an issue with our Uber delivery partner mixing up our orders for another’s. I tried to speak with the delivery partner who stated this was not his fault and placed blame on the restaurant. He then told me to take it up with the restaurant and Uber and stopped answering phone calls. Upon calling the restaurant they very promptly made the situation right and delivered the food themselves without requiring me to fuss through the app. Excellent customer service on part of Carlos and the food was delicious !

Carlo’s Restaurant Is just what it should be, a solid old school red sauce joint. Carlo’s has been one of my go to places in the area for several years. Though the dining room is recently refreshed, the best parts of this place remain the same. The welcomes are warm, and the service is fairly brisk, even at peak times. If you’ve eaten in any Italian place before you know what to expect before you even open the menu, and all the traditional favorites are there. Still, having sampled around it a bit I’ve yet to be disappointed. I’m a fan of the shrimp fra diavolo, and the penne ala vodka, but my favorite is still the Chicken Picatta, which is nicely balanced, with just the right amount of lemony tang, and complimented by the tasty potato croquette, crisp on the outside, and creamy on the inside. They’re so good I wish more places had them on offer. Around back Carlo’s shares a pretty good sized lot with several business along the same stretch of Tuckahoe Road so parking is never a problem. Dinnertime can get quite crowded here on weekends, so expect a wait, and likely an uncomfortable one. There isn’t a bar or separate waiting area, so you will spend your time standing over the diners closest to the doors. Instead of being bored, think of it as the perfect time to scope out the food, and find your perfect choice. Don’t be a victim of entree envy!

OMG I was google "ing" places back in Bronxville and Yonkers New York, where I grew up. I graduated from Roosevelt High School, as Kathleen Shepherd, in 1978! I was looking for any pictures of the places I that I used to go. I can't believe that Carlos Pizza place is still there, over 30 years later! I am sure it is still a major hang out place for the kids at lunch and when ever. Back in the 70's ? $1 for reg and $1.25 for sicilian slice. Also suprised that the skating rink is still there! I still rave about "NY" pizza being the best and how more was sold by the "slice" than by the "pie". 3 boys from Italy, was THE BEST, just over the line, by the "el" in the Bronx. Out here in Ca, Costco actually makes it pretty close when you buy a plain cheese slice or pie pre-cooked, but the uncooked is NOT the same, it is square, but by no means a "sicilian" and barely fits in the oven!
