I’ve dined here many times. Each time is always great. I have even ordered take out and the staff who assisted with my order were extremely pleasant and helpful. Everything I ordered was bagged perfectly even the cookie! I really enjoy the food. My favorite is the lasagna it’s fluffy and delicious. I enjoy how the pasta is house made and the pizza is fresh, you can really taste the difference . The only dish I wasn’t thrilled about is the Mac and cheese but that’s because it was a little runny but it didn’t taste bad. This is me and my boyfriends favorite Italian restaurant

Delicious food. We opted to eat outside because it was a gorgeous summer day with a breeze plus the inside was just too dark with all the light outside. My sister & I discussed how it would have been nice to have music outside similar to inside. My lemon drop was a little bitter & tasted like they used that fake bottled lemon juice but not lacking vodka ;). Our waitress at first seemed annoyed and her energy was off but then about 15 minutes later her energy changed for the better and she was ok. We joked and said to ourselves, did she trade places with her twin because it was like two different people. I can not deal with negative energy when I'm enjoying a good meal and great conversation. They even brought my freshly baked chocolate chip cookie out with a flame to celebrate my birthday. And as a dope way to top off our experience all the staff signed a birthday card and gave it to me. Overall great experience and I will be back.

Veterans Day dinner night out. First time here and the Gnocchi was the anchor of the meal. Light and not pasty, well seasoned sauce. We shared the stuffed meatballs and a cheese board. The selection of wines is enough for any pallate to be satisfied. Actually, we were too stuffed to finish the bottle. Vanilla gelato to share and we are home already. We will go back. Bonnie is the manager and she simply cares about the experience.

At first I wasn’t sure if I was in the right place. Situated in an office building complex, this little gem was delicious. I ordered the clam and linguine and it was fresh and delicious. My husband and mother in law both ordered pizza which looked fantastic. The fresh bread with oil was wonderful and the atmosphere is very cute! Out waitress was attentive and I’d recommend this restaurant for yummy food and a place you can bring your kids.

This restaurant was ok. The “crispy chicken sandwich” was nothing worth having. According to the waiter I had, Rick, this is their version of Chick-Fil-A’s sandwich. They did not hit the mark. I asked to hold the pickles but the kitchen made it with them anyway. The waiter Rick was very friendly and attentive.

Food was delicious but the service was pretty slow. It's a good place for a leisurely meal where you plan to sit and talk and linger over drinks for a long time between courses because that's how the pacing has been both times I've been here. Dinner here has been 2+ hours each time I've been here. If it's intentionally this way and they want you to slow down and enjoy that's cool but you need to warn people. If it's not, then I must've been there on two slow nights. The food is really good though.

This place was amazing from start to finish! The food was delicious, from the bread they bring out in the beginning, to the last bite of dessert!! Everything was seasoned perfectly, not overly salty like a lot of other restaurant's food tends to be. The service was great, Aspen, our waitress, was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant's decor and overall ambiance was warm and welcoming as well. I found my new favorite spot!!

We haven't dined here for a few years because the menu had gotten boring. I checked the menus online before we went there and were surprised the menu seemed to have improved. Everything we ordered was great. Plus we saw other items on the menu we want to try. This restaurant has the potential to be a hidden gem...private off street parking, close to our home in the suburbs, an interesting menu (now). We will go back soon.

Beautiful establishment with a staff that is constantly moving and delightful to boot. We were very well taken care of. I had the meatballs and they were good. They didn't have the calamari which I have to hold against them. I'll change my rating once I get some. Lol

Place is very classy and food is good. Grilled Artichokes are one of a kind appetizers to try here. I ordered tuna as main entree and asked it to be "well done" but it was kind of medium cooked for my taste. Would recommend this for office lunches or dinners.

Capers & Lemons is my go-to spot when someone asks, "What's good in Wilmington?" Each time I leave, I am already mentally planning when I will go back. The entrees are so well prepared, delicious, gorgeous... and the desserts are dangerously good.

Food and service was good. Prices are slightly above average. Very popular spot for a friday night as the place was full and there was quite the waiting time to get a table. Decent (but small) bar area although they have a few tables set up in the "lounge" area that you can squeeze into. Off the beaten path and not in an area you would look for a nice restaurant to be. Worth a stop for some Italian food

Love love love this place. We had 10 members of our family for a holiday dinner. They waitstaff were amazing and the food was very delicious. Top ratings for me. Also, 2 of the 10 were under 3 years old, and the waitstaff were very accommodating.

Fancy restaurant with awesome services. We ordered read board with spicy Pepper, egg drop soup as appetizer. Pasta, Tuna, and Short rib as entree. American style flavor. A little bit salty with sour taste. Good looking dish, healthy made.

I went looking for vegetarian options for lunch & was not disappointed @ Capers & Lemons. The broccoli rabe was so good, it was prepared with lots of garlic, so yum. They also had roasted carrots, so I was full & happy. Great service, great atmosphere, great food!!

Amazing food, attentive servers, pleasing atmosphere, a menu that has something for everyone. My wife and I are vegetarian, and decided to get the baked bnocchi, and damn... It was magical. My father ordered the rigatoni Bolognese and my mother had the shrimp scampi offer angel hair pasta. They loved their meals. At the server's suggestion, we ordered a warm salted chocolate chip cookie a la mode dessert. It was a religious experience. That dessert could bring world peace. Totally worth the drive from Baltimore. I can't wait to go back.

Probably the greatest restaurant experience I have had since moving to Delaware. For an appetizer we had a garlic bread with parmesan and truffle butter which was so delicious I had to savor every bite. Their pappardelle with pork ragú and baby arugula was fresh, tender, and the arugula still had a little bit of a crunch to it. The Romano encrusted chicken was perfectly crispy and still juicy in the center, the tomato cream sauce a perfect compliment. For dessert we had a skillet baked cookie (I forget the name) with fudge, caramel, whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream. Every bite was sweet and heavenly. We asked for a sweet but not TOO sweet wine, and were recommended a reisling, which did not disappoint. Whatever scale you could use, this place gets the top score from us. On top of everything, the service was wonderful. Tip: make a reservation.

This was my first visit to Capers & Lemons and it will not be my last. The food was absolutely delicious. There was a great selection of different options for dinner including seafood, pasta, beef, veal and chicken. There were plenty of choices on the drink menu as well as the dessert menu. I had the braised short rib which was very good and tender. My dinner mate had the salmon. We shared the grilled artichoke and arugula appetizer and the lemon curd and blueberry cheesecake for dessert. Everything was well prepared and tasted fresh. The environment was very cozy. We sat inside but they do have outdoor seating as well. Our server was very proficient and pleasant. The only issue we experienced, was the large group that was seated behind us who was extremely loud making conversation at our table difficult, but that is not in any way the fault of the restaurant.

Been here many times and it has never disappointed. Mostly for lunch during the week but several times for dinner. Their soups are always delicious. Most recently the pasta e fagioli and a cauliflower bisque with crispy mushrooms. Salads are nice - I get them with the tuna, medium rare. For dinner, their pasta dishes are just excellent. You can't go wrong here.

Today I had lunch and found out that chicken and shrimp were fried in the same fryer. Well imagine my disappointment since I have a shellfish allergy. I have no idea if it would cause me to get sick but I did not want to risk it. I enjoy this restaurant but which there was more thought into food preparation for those suffering from food allergies.

Authentic Italian and the best tomato bisque I've had in the area. The lighting is romantic and the service is A+. Our server's name was Teresa and she was phenomenal. They have a really good wine list and some original mixed drinks. We ordered the strawberry mint martini and it was delicious.

Such a great spot! The menu is simple yet tasty featuring very fresh ingredients and pasta. The bar is wonderful for a happy hour spot yeah the dining room is both formal enough for a fancy dinner and Casual enough for a quick bite for lunch

My husband and I just had dinner there. First time eating there. We had reservations at 5:30. Requested a booth..received the booth and great service! Good food, mt husband ate lasagna and I had pasta in a clam sauce 😋..good atmosphere!! Will be back again for date night! …

This place was amazing!! I loved every second of my dining experience. The staff waiting on us were so attentive, the cocktails were sublime and the food was delicious!! I highly recommend the Chicken piccata, it was so zesty and the potatoes wPre perfectly soft. We also ordered the Romano Crusted Chicken - it was amazing. I have absolutely no complaints and I can't wait to come back and sample more of what they offer on their wonderful menu!!

First time there! We had 6:15 reservations and were sat right away. Felicia was or waitress and she was really sweet and answered all of our questions. I like that she asked if we had any food allergies that the chef should be made aware of. The appetizers came out quickly and were amazing. The main meals didn't take long and were also great! I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

Dined outside. Went for lunch. Located in a corporate center so no traffic wizzing by so it was quiet. An absolutely wonderful afternoon. The antipasto was delicious. They have a well appointed wine list. Will definitely go back.

Not that good anymore. I once loved dining at Capers but the quality, and taste of the food has declined. The menu, although updated, is only slightly different than when it first opened. The meals that I enjoyed are gone from the menu. I'm sorry to say that I dont think that Capers is worth the wait or money.

The food was good, the service outstanding, only two things I did not like, and I think they can be improved, the lighting on the tables is very low, you can hardly see what you are eating, the other is the bread that they bring with olive oil, it should be hot and not completely cold. For desserts I recommend tiramisu, it's excellent. Overall i recommend this place.

Excellent brunch, great drinks however the Chef's omelet was too heavy on the mozzarella cheese which hardened as the meal cooled. The sausage is outstanding, as was the eggs benidict!

The food was ok. It was odd that I ordered a dish with capers and it came out with 3 capers total around my salmon. This is not an exaggeration. I asked for more and they charged me for them. The service was slow. The experience was not horrible just underwhelming.

The food was tasty and well prepared. But we were waiting well over an hour for our food. It got to the point where we were threatening to leave, then we got our order, and free desert. We sat out on the open air dining, so not too much worry about covid. It was a nice day, so it was comfortable. If we had to wait in the heat it would have taken much less time to complain. Apparently the eggplant lasagna is excellent but I never found out because it was not offered, something to do with being complicated to prepare and labor shortages industrywide. The place is not cheap so you'd think they could afford to pay their staff enough to attract help.

I've always loved this place, but it's changed. My stuffed meatballs weren't stuffed...just a piece of cheese on top, and were dry and salty. And my grilled artichoke salad barely had any parmesan on it. My friend had the lasagna and said it was terrible. Another friend couldn't eat her "stuffed" meatballs because they were too salty. Our waitress was excellent, but she was extremely busy so we were there a long time. We tipped her well. We made reservations two days ahead for outside, but they sat walkins outside and we ended up inside.

Fantastic find on our drive back to NY from VA. Although it was 7:30 on a Sunday evening the restaurant was really bustling and had good vibes. Our food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. I especially enjoyed the the pappardelle with braised pork ragu. Rather than ground meat which is typically in a ragu there were pieces of pork which were so tasty and tender, it was amazing! And the sauce was delicious too. The cheesecake with really yummy :)

This is mainly a warning. Servers were excellent and attentive. My dining companions were overall satisfied with there food. It was OK. Do not order the Soppressata Pizzette unless you think that suicide wings are bland. Not kidding, I eat Indian food, extra hot and suicide wings, I have a moderate taste for spicy food. The Soppressata Pizzette was so over the top spicy that I had to return it after attempting to pick enough peppers off of it to make it edible. Manager's response was,"That dish is one of my favorites, but I have to tell the kitchen to take it easy on the pickled chilis." To be clear, they offered to replace it (I declined), they took the cost of the offending dish off our bill. I spent the rest of the evening and into the next morning in mild gut discomfort. Not quite what I was looking for.

One of our go to restaurants for years. Just went and sat on the patio by the market. Our waitress Aspen was top notch. Just the right amount of choices on the menu from pasta to main dishes and personal pizza. The flatbread is really good as well. this time I tried the Braciole with parmesan risotto and it was excellent.

Nice place for a date night but be aware! They offer you a salad all non chalante after you place your entree order like most restaurants do when the food comes with a side salad and then charge you $11 for it. Food was good tho

I have been here several times, the salmon has always been excellently prepared, with an amazing spinach and orzo, we like to share an additional side of spinach. I love the way they cook it with garlic. The ravioli is great, the sausage adds so much to the sauce. The lasagna is very good as well. If you can share an entree in order to save room for dessert, that might be a good idea. I love the cheesecake, it is so refreshing with blueberry & lemon sauce. My partner got chocolate gelato (3 or 4 scoops) rich and decadent (too much for one after a full meal, but we ate every bit. Another couple with us got the skillet cookie (definitely share this and order early to allow 20 minutes to prepare) SO worth it.

The calamari was very good. The cannelloni was over seasoned and had too much sauce all over it. The spaghetti and clams was lacking the deep briny clam flavor. The service was not very good. I would not recommend this place and would not go back.

Amazing food and atmosphere! We had to wait a long time to get a table, around 90 minutes after being told 60, but the manager was very apologetic and explained why the wait was so long. The food was absolutely delicious, and the manager very graciously comped out appetizer since we had to wait so long. Everything was so great though that it was well worth the wait, even if we we hadn't gotten a free appetizer! We already plan on going back for lunch tomorrow!

Excellent atmosphere and delicious food. I was a little disappointed by how small my dish was, though. My colleague and I ordered pasta dishes that were the same price, but hers was a reasonable lunch portion and mine was the size of an appetizer. It was absolutely delicious, but I had to buy a snack on my way back to the office.

This restaurant was awesome...the food was well flavored and there was a nice variety. There was a bar area yet you would never know it as the sound from there was not heard within the restaurant. Our server Bill was knowledgeable about the menu items as well as making suggestions in regards to what we might like. This was our first time there an we were celebrating my brothers birthday. A good time was had by all and the manager nick even checked in to make sure our first experience was a good one. It was and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience.

Lunch portions were great! I had a fig flatbread appetizer which was delicious. They also sell wine which turned out to be very good. I had a glass of wine with my lunch pinot nior very good. They give a nice glass of wine 6oz. My husband had rigatoni Bolognese said it was delicious.

The menu items we chose were delicious and the waiter was very attentive to our dining needs and a good conservationist. The atmosphere was modern but very comfortable. Both my spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining inexperience. Because of the atmosphere a causal dress code is more appropriate.

We went for a birthday dinner and our server Larry made sure it was the perfect night. The food was superior and the service impeccable. Grilled Salmon over spinach and Orzo prepared perfectly and tasted delicious. Melted.in your mouth. And the tiramisu and cheesecake ate to die for. 5 out of 5 stars.

Got the wrong pasta dish, but was with friends and didn't want to say anything or hold up their meals. Ate it anyway. Ok, but too oily and made me sick later. Service was good though and I've had other meals there that were good.

Had a great lunch today with 2 friends at Capers and Lemons. We were sat outside at least 15 ft away from other customers. Food was excellent, service was great with our server paying attention to social distancing and wearing her mask properly. I’ve been reluctant to go to restaurants but Capers and Lemons made the experience such a positive one I won’t hesitate to go back. Kudos ❤️

So after months of quarantine we (party of 3) ventured out for an early dinner on my birthday last Wednesday. They are serious about safety. Staff had masks and guests were required to wear them until you got to your table. The menu was available on your phone once you scanned a bar code on the drink menu. We ordered drinks and appetizers of stuffed meatballs and steamed clams and bread all of which were very good. We all had the summer corn agnolotti. The meal was light, fresh and VERY tasty. Service was the usual outstanding. A very nice night out after a long quatantine! Highly recommended.

Great service and good food. The food isn't as authentic as other restaurants but it is very high quality. I'm giving this place 5 stars because the service is so good. Staff is very accommodating and they also are very hospitable. I just wasn't as impressed with the pasta dishes.

A very enjoyable evening, walked in at 6 w/ no reservations so we had a glass of cab and a cheese plate at the bar, which was really good. Service at the bar was great; attentive and fast. Could have ordered our meal if we wished. Our table was ready exactly when they said. Tuna was cooked perfectly, mussels diablo special really good as well. Fresh bread really crunchy. If you dont want to wait, make reservations, otherwise enjoy the bar. Service all around attentive and professional. Fun atmosphere.

First time there. Had lasagna not good. Wife had seafood and pasta. She loved it. I would try it again because the food menu is diverse. Pleasant staff that were there always asking if you needed anything. Big drawback is the bathroom. Dirty. Only one toilet you would not want to use. And one urinal. For a supposedly up scale place it fails. Staff 5 stars. Overall 3 stars. 1 star if you need to use the restroom.

Nice place pleasant environment, good drinks, decent service, and fantastic food. Appetiser portions were a bit small imo, so get many if sharing with a larger group. We had 6 in ours and 3 apps didn't give full table coverage, but the main dishes were fantastic. I had the short ribs and was VERY happy with my selection. As were the others at my table, all left satisfied and happy. All in all a very pleasant evening and will keep it in mind if ever doing dinner down in Delaware again.

As a vegan it's often difficult to find restaurants in the area I can order off the menu with minimal change. Eliminating cheese from the artichoke salad was simple and the pizzette was modified but remained tasteful. Outdoor option was a requisite also and it was a lovely evening with a good friend. I have dined here few times and have also ordered take out for 10-15 people several times. They always seem to get my order right and they have been quick with service. They have couple of really good things on the menu. I particularly like the lasagna.

Good food and great service. Would have gotten 5 stars if there was a changing table in the men's bathroom. Couldn't change my baby's diaper. It's something many establishments are still way behind with the times and very regressive, especially when so many fathers would also like to enjoy nice restaurants with their children. I've been here a few times and the food is very good. It's is certainly an upscale italian restaurant and most folks are dressed business casual. It is right next to a new parking garage so probably not the best location the ambiance. However, once inside, it is nicely decorated. There is a small market that you can shop in so you don't necessarily go just to dine.

Wonderful experience. We had a party of 6 food all came out on time except my side dish of mac and cheese, the manager said that the first one was over cooked and he didn't want to serve it, the one he brought out was a little under cooked for my liking. He took it back apologized and took it off the bill, after paying he brought me out a chocolate cake with ice cream and said sorry again. Very respectful people and amazing service.

After I traveled in circles around the location, I figured it out on my own. Also it was not a direct route. It took me 40 minutes to get there and 10 to get home. I'd hate to think what a mess it would have been if I hadn't been in an area I was pretty familiar with.

Food and service outstanding.... parking not so much! My husband and I decided to celebrate Fat Tuesday at Caper's and Lemon's. When we pulled into the parking lot, there was not one parking space. Drove around the parking lot 4xs, and still none. Drove to parking garage near by hoping that maybe that was an option, it was not. Returned to parking again, driving around twice, and decided to park in a no parking area since I sent my husband in to be seated for dinner. Luckily someone was about to pull out and I grabbed that spot. I did see people doing the same thing, and left the parking area, appearing they would dine somewhere else. I shared my frustrations with the server when I finally sat down at our table. I was told there were two large parties (looked like business) and that must be why. If you've never been to Capers and Lemons, there literally are NO off street parking options, this restaurant is in business center and no open parking lots, just parking garages without public Access. Luckily the meal was outstanding and the Server was excellent!

My husband and I have been there a couple of times and everytime we leave happy! The drinks are great, the appetizers, the entree's are all great. The garlic mussles, shrimp scampi and the braised short ribs are exceptional. Everything is fabulous. Food is good (not foody class, but solid). Biggest issue we had is the lack of a reservation policy. We brought my in laws and called ahead to avoid a wait. After being assured (lied to) that we wouldn't have to wait if we came within 15 minutes, we arrived in ten and we're told to wait for 25. In the lobby, where the only seating are mod cubes. Really, the chef and manager need to treat people better or we won't beback.

I really enjoyed my arugula, beet, carrot, and radicchio salad, but the butternut squash, white bean, chicken, cavatelli, brown butter, arugula dish did not have a lot of flavor (individual aspects were bland) and the dish was under salted. It sounded like a home run as it's a lot of components i love, but that was not the case as nothing in this dish shined. This is the first time I've gotten a dish from he where i felt this way, so I'm going to count it as some sort of error, but i wouldn't personally order this one again based off the fact it may fall flat again and I'm left disappointed.

My family chose Capers and Lemons to celebrate Father's Day this year. Apparently, so did many other families. The crowd didn't stop the wait staff from delivering prompt and professional service. The point deduction was for the food cost compared to food quality. The Fried Calamari was tasty but kinda greasy, the Chicken Piccata was short on flavor, large portion size, though! The Cannelloni was delicious but way over priced. $19 for only 3 small Cannelloni; small like, "How could you possibly consider this an entree?" I would try this location again, but it isn't my first choice.

First time here, and the food was excellent. We started with the fried calamari (romesco sauce, aioli). Calamari was perfectly prepped and cooked. Very tender and flavorful. Then we got some plates to share for our dinner: a soppressata pizza, rapini with cannellini beans, and the pork tortelloni. All were outstanding! Then we tried four desserts: pistachio gelato, tiramisu, spumoni, and carrot cake. All were excellent, although the spumoni was the standout here. Lavazza espresso was on point. Only reason I'm holding back a star was the service. Not that it was that bad, but it wasn't up to par with the atmosphere, quality of food, etc. Our server was painfully slow in bringing every course/drink/ etc. As this was our first trip, I'm not sure if the very slow service is par for course. It would seem not, as the other servers seemed to be on the ball. We will be back to give Capers & Lemons another chance, and I will update on the service at that time.
