Went to the Porch after it was suggested by a friend. It was a great experience. What REALLY stood out for me was the service. EVERY staff member was friendly and courteous. This quality seems to be slipping from so many establishments in these days. The food was great, and so were the cocktails. Do yourself a favor, and try the “Wise Guy” (pictured) from the cocktail menu. WILL return to the porch. Enjoy!

The price may be on the higher end, but I think it is warranted with the portions and quality. This restaurant has spectaculars views all around to be enjoyed while eating very fresh seafood. The service was a bit slow but overall we had a very pleasant experience.

First time visiting today. Beautiful location. Classy atmosphere. The seafood was absolutely phenomenal. Shrimp damn near half the size of my hand, crab cakes with plenty of meat, lamb chops were divine. A+ restaurant!

We visited the last week of November. The atmosphere was nice. If you want to have a view of the bay, nighttime might not be the best time to go. The restaurant has a bar where you can wait while you get seated. You will have to pay the bar bill before you can go and sit at a table if you order drinks. The bills are separate. Once seated I ordered some oysters as an appetizer, and they were pretty fresh. As the main course I had some Gumbo that was accompanied by fish (forgot what fish it was) and rice. The gumbo was really good (spicy), the fish was tender and juicy, the rice was not fully cooked. It was a bit hard. I still ate it anyway. My wife ordered penne pasta with chicken (don't remember the exact name). It was good. All in all, I would eat here again.

The food was cooked to perfection. The location is awesome, beautiful sunsets over the water. The staff was on top of their game, knowledgeable about the menu, and the preparation of the food. Ensure you make a reservation unless you want to wait (it's worth the wait). It is an awesome place to get fresh seafood prepared very well. Highly recommend, and will go back. Cameron works the bar with skill.

Took my girlfriend and her dad here for her birthday. The ambiance is amazing. Even in waiting we got to take in some of the surrounding houses and speak with the local "sailors," so I was hooked based on the atmosphere alone. However, the staff was amazing and helped me surprise my girlfriend with roses. I got so many points off that. Thank you staff! And they were very curteous answering any questions we had, and we had plenty. The food was amazing. The Buffalo Chicken Flatbread was tangy and sweet and the French Dip was loaded. I don't eat Crab, but I tried the bread with seasalt they serve with it and I was totally content just eating that! I left with a full stomach. Can't say that for every restaurant. I will definitely be going back here. Too good in every aspect not to.

I loved them when they opened and still love them today. Their Golden Hour in the warmer months is unrivaled in food, views, and atmosphere. The chicken flatbread, porch roll, and bread pudding were all delicious but the true star was our server Kacie. She’s amazing!

Not only is there a great water view, but I absolutely LOVE open kitchens. All the food our table got was perfectly cooked. We all shared and it was delicious. Service was on point as well. Kudos. I will be coming back here

I am from Japan and I truly enjoyed the sushi. I ate the Porch roll The fish is very soft and fresh. The sauce was not strong and very delicious! It was happy hour and the price was good! I am very satisfied and would like to visit again.

What an great lunch! I got a cup of crab soup (best ever, no sherry taste and plenty of old bay) and the claw. The sauce with the crab legs was heavenly. My husband got the lunch special of sirloin and eggs and left very satisfied but not overly full.

Fantastic view and atmosphere. We had an assortment of the Sushi rolls, each one was top notch. Meg our waitress was very attentive to my wife and myself answered each question and took requests with such confidence. Will definitely come again

Magnificent dining experience with a breath-taking view. Started with refreshing orange vodka, perked up an appetite with shrimp scampi. Enchanted by the delish lamb rack and mignon, perfectly coupled with El Enemigo, Malbec. Leaving no room for desserts! Jake, the resto manager is friendly. Perhaps a minor issue for them to resolve - the flies. They are stealing our dining time, having to shoo them away frequently. 😂 Bet it must be the good food that attracted them to the indoor.

Everything was great besides the shrimp. Went on the weekend so only the appetizers were available. Definitely will be going again during the week so I can try the main entrées.

LarderRoom...The Porch. The "Orange Crush, Fried Founder BLT, fresh caught Mahi over rice with spinach and a jalapeño glaze! Come on! Oh and the appetizer was bruschetta with crab, feta and a hazelnut drizzle. Don't sleep on the view!!! Amazing staff. A+ experience! Will be back!

The Porch is always a great experience. The staff is wonderful, the cocktails always evolving and so are the dishes. The Claw and the Lamb are wonderful additions this season. The sunset views are also beautiful 😍

We arrived a smidge late in the evening, got sat at the bar as the table wait was 45 minutes. We had a wonderful view of the kitchen and bar area. We watched sushi being made and beer being poured. The atmosphere was relaxed; allowing conversations to be just above hushed tones. The windows allowed views of the sunset, water and water traffic. Our waitress was attentive and jovial. We absolutely enjoyed our visit.

Amazing dinner tonight! We chose several different appetizers and enjoyed all of them! We were able to get a seat at the bar luckily, their tables were on a hour wait, but we enjoyed the view of the kitchen action and the bartender was very friendly! Looking forward to our next visit!

I originally Gave 4 stars only because as a Marylander at heart, it’s hard to make the crab cakes taste like home. But the truth is, there are other fabulous items that make up for the crab cakes holding up to Maryland par.

Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff! We had tuna tacos, she crab soup, salmon sushi roll, and scallops with risotto. All so fresh and tasted great! Had a wonderful time celebrating my fiancés birthday, will definitely be coming back!

I was a little disappointed! Such a beautiful place! Awesome location with a great atmosphere! Our server however was terrible. Has to ask for drink refills twice. Some of our guests was never even offered a drink. We felt unwelcome is what it boiled down to. Food was mediocre. My shrimp scampi was half cooked pasta was scampi dressing on top. Pasta was like a ball half cooked! Really disappointed honestly! Quite expensive for rushed poor quality made food!

Very good food and drinks. Downed a few orange crushes and raspberry mojitos which were incredible. Also enjoyed the pan seared salmon. The scallops were absolutely amazing with the risotto. They were cooked perfectly with very good flavor. The view was fantastic as well.

Yum! Visited a few weeks ago with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary and we loved it. Everything was fabulous. We still waited 40 minutes for a table for two on a Monday evening, but there is a nice bar and there is plenty of seating outside on the porch. We had a great table with a beautiful water view once sat and our waitress was on point. We ordered the crab dip and tuna tacos to start and they were both delicious. I loved the simplistic ahi tacos with just avocado, ahi, jalapeño and a fire sauce drizzle on a crispy wonton-like shell. Noms. Perfect. I chose the Pungo strawberry salad and crab cakes for dinner served with a veggie succotash. The crab cakes were excellent and loaded with crab. My boyfriend chose the scallops with veggie risotto and they were also excellent. Loved his risotto. For dessert - creme brûlée and key lime. Both good but the key lime was the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot! Ambiance is excellent. A view like no other and a beautiful restaurant without a bad seat in the house. Love love loved it.

For those that like to be near the water and enjoy food near the water, this is a choice establishment. The Porch is located at the end of a pier running along the center of the intercostal waterway and the restaurant outside seating is surrounded by the waterway. I would justify price the meals on location more than quality. Some of the meals have tasted a bit salty. In my opinion, amount of salt content should be left up to the patron at the table. Hope to say This was only my first two visits and that this will change in future visits. The atmosphere is otherwise, inviting and enjoyable.

My wife and I played hooky from work to come by for their happy hour and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great and food was spot on. Shrimp scampi flatbread was delicious and the oysters were super fresh. I think my mouth creamed itself.

Nice place to visit with beautiful water view and sunsets. Been here twice to eat and loved it. The appetizer selections are great. Last night we had the spicy tuna poke tacos and they were great. We shared the flounder and the scallops for dinner - also delicious. It took an hour to be seated but we expected a wait and we like to watch the boats. Our waitress was super nice and service was prompt and friendly. Recommend it if you are in the area.

My family and I visited The Porch and it was a 5 star experience! We sat in the covered porch area. The vibe was awesome! We actually felt like we were out of town. We loved the music. We loved watching the boats go by. Our waitress, Mia, was great! Our food was outstanding! My son had the lump crab sushi roll. He loved it. All of my kids had the kids marinara and they loved it. My husband had the ahi tuna tacos. He loved them! He also had the lamp chops and loved them! We shared the Michelob shrimp and they were so good. I had the crab dip and it was awesome. I also had the soy bourbon filet. Loved it! The sauce was delicious! I am very picky when it comes to my like for food. We will definitely be returning soon!

If you're looking for the best Margarita, then you're in luck, this place has it. Guaranteed a good meal and great service. It gets busy though so you might have to wait a little, but it's worth it.

Very nice spot with a nice view on Lynnhaven inlet from the outdoor terrace. Food is ok, nothing fancy even though the price tag suggests otherwise, I guess you pay for the view! Staff is competent but gets overwhelmed during pick hours (at that time I believe the recruitment issues are to blame, not the staff) so just get patient. Speaking of patience, this is something the management doesn't have, so the restaurant implements very strick rules on reservation (arrive right on time or lose your res!), 2 hours max on table etc. It seems tough and may not be compatible with what you consider a romantic dinner if you have to check your watch out or if you get rushed out at some point. The restaurant is surfing on it's good reputation and is taking advantage of it, but remember that there is plenty of alternative option to enjoy a good dinner on Lynnhaven, most with a similar or better value when it comes to food. To sum up: 5 stars for the view, 1 star for the patronizing sign and rules, and 3 stars for the ratio 'food quality/price tag'.

We went to dinner to celebrate my sisters birthday and I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Every single thing we ordered was 10/10, from wine to appetizers to dinner entrees. My sister has quite a few dietary restrictions and our awesome server Barney did everything he could to accommodate her. Highly recommend The Porch!!

Great place for happy hour! $5 crushes $3 drafts $5 wells With some reduced prices for some appetizers. We had their California roll, salmon roll, shrimp and a cup of their she crab soup. This was an amazing dining experience. The food and atmosphere were phenomenal. We had the lamb and their burger! Both were absolutely delicious!! The weather allowed us to dine al fresco and enjoy the stunning views of the sunset. Update: We've been back multiple times and have been blown away by the service & food. The Porch on Long Creek has a great social media following and they are actively posting photos of yummy looking dishes and of the views from the restuarant. I have eaten her twice. My first experience was in June of 2020. The wait was long but the food and views were worth the wait. August 2021, came here for dinner on a Friday night. There was no wait. The restaurant was pretty crowded. At this time they weren't do reservations but I hear they started doing reservations after August 2021. The restaurant is huge, lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Great views of the bay. Especially during sunset. This place has all of the beach chic vibes. If I recall correctly, they have more than one bar and even an outdoor mini bar. Parking kind of sucks. The restaurant shares parking lot with other businesses and for those who are parking their boats near by. So you may end up parking far. This place should really consider doing valet parking. Staff members are all so pleasant, sweet and attentive. Our service was great. Our drinks were so delicious. We ordered a lot of food between appetizers, mini dishes and entrees. We were so full. However, we weren't as impressed with our food that night. We will be back though. This place has one of the best views and vibes in Virginia Beach.

The signage could be better directing customers to the location. Food and drink was good. Im picky about my she crab soup and usually determine if i like the place based on this. Although the wait for a table was very long (1 hour, but was estimated at 45-60 min). BUT table service by Avery, food cooked perfectly, tasted awesome and was out in a very timely fashion made up for the wait. Highly recommended and I will return again. Of note, table reservations must be made one day in advance (no same day). Otherwise, walk-in with at least and hour ahead of when you want to eat. All persons in your party must be present to be seated.

Too often these days 5-star reviews are given simply because a business minimally did what they were expected to do. The Porch needs a 6th star because they create an experience that goes beyond what is simply expected. The food, the servers, the management, and the view all come together to create a relaxed vibe and an exceptional experience. Our table of three shared a sizeable appetizer of Tempura Rock Shrimp that was delicious, along with a couple of perfect Old Fashioneds. The Flounder BLT (served with a large filet) was excellent. One of us paired the Southern Caesar Salad with the Cali-Virginia Roll as a meal that made for a tasty combination. And the French Dip Au Jus was fantastic. It seems as if most restaurants these day use yesterday's leftover prime rib to make today's overcooked French Dip, but not The Porch. It was freshly roasted and shaved to perfection to make a tender, juicy, and delicious sandwich. Hands down, this was the best restaurant experience we've enjoyed in quite some time. I hope you will as well.

Great location, great service , great atmosphere but ultimately it's very mid. The food is REALLY expensive for what it is. 40$ and I got 4 scallops that were very alright. They make it sound super nice but it's just alright. Like the crab cake sandwich had a Martins bun. That's alright but if I'm paying 20$ for a sandwich I expect at least something a little nicer than grocery store hamburger bun.

This place is awesome, the food is delicious, the view is spectacular, the music/vibe is fantastic. Super frustrating part is trying to make reservations….. you cannot book ‘same day’ reservations (like if you call at 11am for an evening reservation at 7pm), and even when you call a few days in advance, they will say ‘we are no longer taking reservations for that day but you’re more than welcome to walk in’ - even if you explain it’s for an anniversary or special event for two people. The abrupt shortness of their customer service is super weird and does not match the high level this restaurant has on everything else :(

Really happy we found this place while boating. Great food and drinks and the staff is really nice. It can get really busy on the weekend so I recommend getting there early. The only reason it’s not 5 starts is because both time I’ve went they couldn’t make the drinks I wanted because they were out of something. They also don’t allow dogs in their outdoor patio.

By far the best food I have had since I’ve moved to Virginia. For an hour wait, it seems like nothing. The bar is top notch and the scenery while you wait is amazing. Barney was our server and was outstanding. He suggested a few of the specials they were having and we are glad we took his advice. The scallops? Awesome. Crab cakes? Awesome. Sushi? Awesome. We were blown away that we have not eaten here yet, but now it’s definitely going to be a very often visit.

Give him a raise. He has potential to be poached because of how amazing he is!!! Please consider live acoustic music on slow days, mid week, outside. I could not say enough about this restaurant, its absolutely amazing!!!!!! Every single time I go, The food is DELICIOUS, the waitress is usually super friendly. They can get very busy which means your waitress is running trying to get things for all her tables, but that's not an issue for me. You have to be patient, and its so worth it. The Crème brûlée is my favorite! I could eat 5 of them. I honestly have recommended this place to a lot of people and never have had anyone say they did not love it. The jumbo crab cake delicious and the cali-virginia rolls are so good too, the salmon is so good. Listen just go! See for yourself.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Virginia Beach. We took my in-laws out for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday and they are still talking about this place 4 days later. The brussel sprouts were a favorite appetizer and everyone agreed it was the best salmon we've ever had. If you want a nice place for a family dinner or cocktails on the water, look no further. The food was great!! I went here with a friend for the first time last night And we shared crab dip, cali-Virginia Roll and Tuna Poke Tacos and all of it was amazing! Also.. finished off with vanilla bean crème Brûlée which was one of the best I’ve ever had. The only reason for the 4 stars was waitress seemed a little annoyed when I asked for another cocktail because my Dirty Martini was not my fav that I ordered. I told her I would gladly pay for it and order another drink. She seemed a bit annoyed but did offer to have the Martini fixed to my liking. It was really good once returned to me! This one little flaw of a not so fav waitress will not keep me from returning! Loved the food and great views!! I will be back!!

Love this place! Rachel is a fantastic manager. She is well-versed in there wine and champagne list as well as management of the overall operations. This is a Great Restaurant. They have fantastic views. While they are super busy, This is a location where you want to be! The sushi at stake, plus the regular menus are absolutely magnificent. This location offers a great view of the creek into the Lynnhaven River. Staff is friendly, the atmosphere pleasant, and the booth we sat in was comfortable. There was lots of outside and inside seating. The craft cocktails were very smooth, and the entrees were delicious. We had the scallops on a bed of risotto and it was all wonderfully cooked, the scallops were buttery and the risotto creamy. We'll definitely be back again.

Fantastic food. Nice craft cocktails. Very reasonable prices for wine (and have half price bottles on Thursday night. Their amazing happy hour is back (during the week only, i think). They do a great job with spacing the tables and I've seen them disinfecting between guests. They have lots of outdoor seating too (with heaters).

First off, our server Gabriella was amazing. The food was very good and came out pretty quickly, but spaced out enough it wasn't piling up on the table. We ordered the tempura shrimp and she crab soup to start and then i got the filet and hubs got the crab cake sandwich. We also sat outside, since it wasn't too hot. We went right around opening and were able to be seated right away.

I ordered the seared scallops in a sauce (very light) with orzo, zucchini, artichokes and asparagus (all my favorites) - a little pricey, but WORTH EVERY BITE!!! Beautiful waterfront ambiance and my dinner of roasted Salmon, Mashed Potatoes, and grilled Asparagus was delicious although pretty pedestrian. Our server was sweet and attentive which was very nice after the brutal hour and a half wait. The restaurant opens at 4pm so we got there at 5pm and didn't get seated until 6:30pm. We were starved by then! The menu is pretty pricey and limited. I think the Sushi feels out of place on an otherwise American menu and I was surprised to find they only offer 2 desserts which were Creme Brulee and Key Lime Pie. I had the Creme Brulee which was delicious as well but the menu is definitely missing that Chocolate selection. There is a 2hr dining limit on outside seating so dont plan to linger which is fair. There were more tables opening up by the time we left so its best to probably come right at 4pm or wait til after 7:30pm if you want to enjoy dining on the deck without a long wait. Overall, I would go back, mainly for the beautiful waterview especially if I could avoid the long wait.

Amazing Amazing Amazing! Kali was super sweet and attentive. The sushi was incredible 🤤 we ordered filet mignon and salmon for our main courses and I would give them 10/10. From beginning to end (we even got to see the sunset over the water), the experience is one I would come back to relive all over again. Ps: Reservations are a plus. Also, be kind to the staff! If there are signs stating 2 hr seating limit preferred because of Covid and capacity restrictions and you want to start issues because you are entitled- you need to check yourself. Don’t be selfish and take away from someone else getting to get out and have dinner because wait times are outrageous due to people staying 3+ hours

So good! For only being recently open, we were greeted at the door and given options to sit outside/inside/bar. The view is beautiful and the bar area has a big fan and nice ambience to keep you cool. Bartenders were super attentive and we got drinks right away. Food was delicious and decently priced. Will definitely be back! Also, don’t listen to the cranky 3 star review... the music is not that loud and you get a classy beach vibe here, not sure why someone didn’t like it.

This is a beautiful renovation of the former One Fish, Two Fish and an excellent venue to enjoy cocktails and lite seafood right on the water. The staff is friendly and provided great service although the wait for outdoor deck seating can be long, but while you wait there is plenty of bar & seat yourself options to get a cocktail & appetizers. And you can definitely fill you wait time checking out the details of the decor or listening to the really good upbeat music!!! There's a good selection of drinks and are well priced for the quality of service and awesome location. We enjoyed the calamari app and the crab cake sandwich and a seared scallops. All of our meals were excellent but the menu selection is limited which is okay with me so that what's prepared is really good. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Porch and we plan to visit here frequently. Highly Recommended!

OK to start it's not South Beach Miami. The club music was loud and took away from the relaxing and majestic views of Long Creek. The food was good, definitely the drinks are Bay Local influenced. The beer choices were all of the usual suspects and a few craft beers but nothing to write home about. Parking was good and a shuttle is provided if you find yourself parked a half mile away. This could be a really great spot, but really was not as relaxing as expected. Maybe the music should get louder as the night gets later. There are great sectionals and seating areas for small groups. The service was very good. And again the food was a good value. I will be back for another visit. I hope the music is more relaxing and something more creative rather than the thump of South Beach Club music and something more original than Jimmy Buffet. Cheers!

Service was okay, but the place is new so surely this will improve. Take a minute to stand at the fence along the back of the outdoor dining area and see how many stingrays and fish you can spot in the water!

Love this place! The Poke Tacos and scallop entree are my favorite dishes on the menu. If you can get a seat outside, it is a lovely view and a nice breeze. The wait to get seated can be a while, so plan accordingly. If you come before or around 5pm, the wait is very minimal and you can get seating outside.

This was our first visit to The Porch and we will be back for certain. We had reservations for 4:30 to see the sunset. The view even in winter did not disappoint. From the hostesses who greeted us to Esteban R whose professional wait service was not to be rivaled, we were royally treated. Our highest compliments to the bartender who created the Porch Punch and Mead Makers 10. We can recommend both these cocktails. For dinner I had the poke tacos and Chefs roll while my husband devoured the flounder BLT. Yum, yum, yum. Excellent choices! We finally completed our wonderful culinary experience with creme brûlée and the Hard Kona Coffee after dinner cocktail. I felt like I had returned to Hawaii. Thank you to the staff of The Porch On Long Creek for an amazing dinner. We will be back

They got our large party in quickly, but took almost 30 minutes to get our drink orders and give us menus. Another almost 20 mins for waters and cocktails, then another 15 to order appetizers at the same time we ordered our dinner. The food DID come out hot and in order. Lamb chops were ordered medium; could have used a little more spice/flavor, but overall the dish was good! The scalloped potatoes were delicious! Did not see our server much, but he was kind enough to bring our baby some bread to nosh on while we waited for our meals. Would have liked to have tried the calamari, but were told that the catch had not been good lately (as in, ill-inducing), so they were not serving it at the moment. (Thank you for not allowing us to order it--MUCH appreciated, but you should probably take it off/reprint the paper menu!) The pepperoni and sausage flat bread we ended up ordering was mouthwatering! That said, the French dip was also delish. We didn't want it to end! Lastly, we asked to order dessert. There were only 3 options and we wanted to order 2 of them. One was key lime pie (update: ate at home and was scrumptious!)-- and the other was a vanilla bean créme brûlée. We wanted to order the desserts to-go, as we had our 9mo old with us and had now been here 2 1/2 hours. I was pretty disappointed when our server told us they would not do the créme to-go. Since it is made in a ramekin, it can apparently only be eaten in-house. We said we didn't mind if it was to be brought out and we would box it or if it was broken down, out of the ramekin, and were told it wasn't possible. Just disappointing. Never heard anything like that before. Odd. All this said, I would give 3 1/2 stars, but 4 I think is pushing it. Very limited menu, and my husband cannot have seafood, so I believe he had about a handful of options in total, between appetizers and entrees. Definitely recommend the french dip and the flatbread, but I probably won't go back for anything but drinks on the deck and maybe an appetizer--or to actually be able to taste the créme! The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. Beautiful views! I will definitely give them that!

There was limited seating when we arrived because their point of sale system was only working in the bar areas. They also were out of a number of things on the menu, including some liquors, which felt like strike two. Classy spot ,nice spot to enjoy on the water .The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the price of the entrees with the amount you were given.i am a big eater to an extent, 230 pound 6'0 tall lol my family enjoyed there food I ordered scallops there were cooked correctly and they were real scallops but lacked in seasoning .
