Absolutely phenomenal. Seems to be a hidden gem! Went here for my birthday, I am a Chicagoan and we have tons of great restaurants so I have been super selective of the places I’ve gone in Tampa so far. The reviews did not disappoint on Watervue- not only was the view fantastic, every single thing we ordered was perfect. The current charcuterie board was seriously the best I’ve ever had. Everything from the crab fried rice, mashed potatoes, Mexican street corn was phenomenal. Our entrees continued this trend and my salmon with picked onions on a bed of risotto was to die for. We ended our meal with a salted Carmel cheesecake which was not too salty or sweet. Excellent experience, our waiter was exceptional as well and the locals were super friendly too! 20/10 experience.

The food was delicious. We had the Lobster Ravioli and the Seafood Combo. Scallops were perfect cooked however the lobster in the combo left a bit to be desired. The portions are good serving but not quite worth the price but the food was super tasty and made for a great experience.

This place is the bomb. Service is top notch. They have a very good collection of beer on draft. The one i tried was excellent and delicious. The Rockefeller oysters are put off this world but disappointed they didn't give me more :) The blackened mahi is tender. Tasty. Flavorful. Juicy. Fries are hot. Location is right on the bay with the view of boats and downtown. Prices are considered cheap for the area and the service and the quality. Highly highly recommended.

For friday evening we booked the reservation at Watervüe Grill. Watervüe Grill is a beautiful restaurant with an amazing decor and water-views. They have their own bar and offers seafood for lunch and dinner. When we entered the restaurant at the register we were seated on the table and greeted by our server Faith with menus and water. After exploring the menu we decided to order Sangria for the drink, Red Chill Rubbed Corvina, Butter Braised Potatoes and Shrimp & Grits. The service was also good and first I got my drink i.e. Sangria which was home made. Soon we got our food too. The shrimp and grits was good in taste with shrimp perfectly blackened. The fish and potatoes was also good. The seafood was good. The portions were good but not quite worth the price. A great experience with the waterfront views.

This is a hidden gem in Tampa. Food was delicious. From the hostest all the way to the kitchen the service was impeccable. Long time we haven't received this type of service. Their manager Melanie, is very sweet as all her staff. They are helpful and accommodating to their customers. We went here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary surprise getaway. I had the creamy jazmin rice, asparagus, and the salmon. OMG! As soon as tasted my food it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth. I had never experienced this before. My husband had the NY strip which was done and cooked on point. Just as he had requested. It was juicy, not dry, and the flavor 😋. Everything that we tasted was delicious and delightful. Hats off 👏 to them for making our day special and they didn't know until after we had finish our food. Thank you for the dessert. The Coconut pie did not dissapoint.

Kudos to the chef on this one. Last night my husband and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary and had hoped for a memorable meal.to celebrate. We were in for a treat! Not only did we experience the most amazing food ever, but everything from the gracious service to the cocktails was right on point. I had the scallops which many restaurants overcook. Tender, and sweet, they were seared to perfection and served with rice and smoky bits of pork belly. The sauce was amazing and lent just the right extra flavor notes. My husband had the swordfish and raved with every bite, Again, the fish was cooked perfectly and not overdone. I’m not a fan of swordfish, but the bite I tasted was delicious. We took our time and truly enjoyed this most delightful evening on all counts. Thank you for making our special evening even more memorable. Excellent job!

The ambiance and the location are fantastic! The food was really good but could have been better. The Salmon entree was delicious! The sauces with the charcuterie board were also unique and delightful. I recommend this over its closest competitor, Jackson’s any day! Happy hour drinks are a great price.

We stopped by before 5 pm (Dinner time). The good news was it was Happy Hour. The bartender, KJ gave us a couple samples of their craft beer. He took the time to explain all of the flavors. I tried the 3 daughters beach blond ale. Very good. My wife had the Shellfish Combo (recommended by KJ). She said the Corn Risotto was great! I ordered The Good Death flatbread. This, without a doubt is the best pie I've had since I left Jersey. Nice thin crust and good taste. What a pleasant surprise this place was!

This was my first time visiting Tampa and we found our way to Watervue Grill. It was absolutely delicious! Faith was our waitress and she was fantastic! If you find your way to Tampa and want a great meal by the water, meander over to Watervue Grill and enjoy.

The restaurant was incredibly clean and very well laid out. It’s not a big space like a full-size restaurant, but they do a great job of making it feel spaced out like you’re not on top of someone else at their table. The view is beautiful, the staff was amazing. Our server did a great job, we did not feel like we were waiting very long for our food which was great considering we had a party of 10. I ordered the filet mignon, the risotto was not bad, but the corn that is in it definitely took over the taste. The filet mignon had an aged garlic butter sauce on it. All in all I did not feel like it was anything special, none of the flavors from the steak or the butter really popped or made any impact. For a $37 meal it was underwhelming

This restaurant was superb! We randomly picked something close to our hotels downtown and I tell you what a great choice! Good food, good service, wonderful hospitality, lovely atmosphere, definitely recommend. Thank you, we all enjoyed our visit.

Service was amazing. We booked a party of around 14 and had another six show up. The staff was able to accommodate the additional guests with zero problems. It reminded me of the scene in Goodfellas where the service staff brought a table and place settings from nowhere!

Great meal....Appetizers were great... Highly recommend flatbread pizza and the calamari! Scalloped potatoes with cauliflower were special. Service was accommodating and could make suggestions that were spot on. Change your sauce... sure no big deal. Great view and vibe!

The drinks were fantastic and well balanced. We even got to sample both the margaritas. We had the Lotus. The spicy one was great too but not my taste tonight. Ok, so last time we were here they ran out of the scallops.In fairness to them we came very late. This time we were the first in the door and we got our scallops. It was worth the wait. We started with drinks, of course, then an appetizer of mussels which were not the best, but they weren't the worst we've ever had. The high point was definitely the mussels over a bed of pasta with a seasoned egg yolk. What an amazing flavor profile. This was one of the most unique scallop dishes we've ever had. We'll definitely be back.

This is officially my new go-to for a lovely dinner! After drooling over their Instagram for weeks, I finally managed to make my way there with friends for a fun Friday night dinner! (Btw, if you aren't following them on Instagram, you really should be) I did make reservations, not sure how busy they get on Fridays. Going early means there isn't a crowd, the crowd picked up closer to 7ish. We walked from Sparkman, so not sure how the parking is, they are on Harbour Island. The restaurant is super clean and bright. It's also, uncluttered and super cute! Our server was amazing. She was super attentive, made sure our waters were kept full (they leave a carafe of water on the table) We started with apps and a lovely bottle of wine. The wine list is brief and has some lovely wines on it, including a Tempranillo. The food is AMAZING! Everything is fresh. The server said there are no freezers. The menu is seasonal and changes. So pay attention. We ordered the calamari and mussels. YUM!! The two apps were plenty to share among 4 people. For dinner, we ordered an assortment of fish and red meat. Everything was scrumptious. Every single dish was perfectly seasoned, prepared and paired with perfect sauces and seasonings. We got all the veggies on the side so we could share. Best idea ever. Serving sizes where well-proportioned. I had the lobster tail and steak. Not overly priced and cooked wonderfully. I like my steak a rare-medium and it was a little more done than I like, that's fine, it's hard to get a little rare without going full rare. I know, that if I sent it back it would have been redone. I chose not to send it back so I could enjoy my meal with my friends and frankly it was delicious. We skipped dessert and I was a little bummed about it, they looked super good but we were super full. The prices are reasonable and not overly expensive. Totally worth it for the service you get and the fresh food!! I can't wait to go back!

The place is beautiful. Right on the water over looking the canal between Harbor Island and Channel Side. The food was good and the drinks were strong, but for the price I have to wonder how they stay in business? If it wasn’t that me and my friends make a considerable living we couldn’t afford $100 per person for a late lunch. However we were there for hours and ate and drank a lot. I subtracted a star for the price being so elitist, but the food and drinks were good.

I love this place, I came in around 6:30 it was pretty busy but the hostess was extremely friendly and respectful. We loved her. I came in with my teenager kids and my husband; my boys kept talking about how friendly the hostess was with us. 30 minutes after we got our food.. the crab cake and oysters and we all loved it. The filet mignon was on point and the fun guy was AMAZING. The staff was extremely friendly! My server was really patient with us. I will be definitely come back! I hope to see everyone again!

We came here for the 1st time on our vacation with our 9 year old son. For lunch and we were blown away with our waiter and was even able to make lemonade for my 9 year old even though it wasn't on the menu. Our food came out very fast and it was great! Even our son said this was the best place he has been for lunch! Great job guys and I hope you all get a raise for doing your job 100% the whole time we were here! We will be back!

When you’re in Tampa, you can garuntee you’ll find three dishes on the menus, Snapper, Grouper and Mahi-mahi. You might find tuna and salmon. But those are the most you’ll find. It’s a breath of fresh air to have something so central with such a variety of fish! It’s amazing! The Sword fish was to die for, the sweet potatoes compliment it amazing. We had a corvina which I have to say is my new favorite fish ever! The sides were beautiful and don’t even get me started on the flatbreads! I could eat 12 by myself with how d licitud they are! And wow! The size of them is about the size of a small pizza anywhere! And it’s not unreasonably priced by any means! I cannot wait to go back and I will recommend this to anyone who asks me where to get seafood in Tampa! Gotta go to Watervue

Nice location overlooking water- limited street parking but public parking garage nearby. Dining available inside or outside. Staff helpful and friendly. We tried a delicious caprese appetizer and ordered one Caesar salad with blackened salmon and the Arugula Salad with grilled salmon- both salads were wonderful and the fish flavored/cooked to perfection.

Absolutely fabulous food, excellent service, and incredible views. The happy hour specials are a steal. I loved the fish spread and pimento cheese appetizers. Gage, our bartender was so attentive and had great drink recommendations and great conversation. This restaurant is just what the island needed! I cant wait to go back!

Visited this place because I saw a few good reviews. Imma tell you go at your own risk. The waitress was absolutely wonderful however, the food was lacking and room temp. The drinks were good! The crab pattie (not cake) was no way close to jumbo lump. The waitress talked it up claiming it was not filler which it was. Coming from Maryland I can say don’t waste I your time if you are looking for the lump. The chops were ok

This is a must go to restaurant if you are in Tampa. Service was amazing, the cocktails were made to perfection and the food is exquisite. I tried the seasons changing cocktail and it made my taste buds do the happy dance. For the appetizer the grilled octopus salad was the perfect start. The shell combo was an excellent choice for the main course.

The "Good Death" flatbread was out of this world and the fresh catch of the day was some of the best fish I've ever had. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! I had my wedding here over Labor Day Weekend and everything down to the last detail was perfection. The food is incredible- my guests were so impressed- as is the ambiance. Top notch service from a staff that will bend over backwards for its patrons. Cannot recommend Watervue Grille enough- for a special event or for a delicious meal!

My husband and I wanted seafood tonight. We looked at the reviews and thought we’d give it a try. So glad we did. We ordered drinks. A gin and tonic and a Pinot Grigio. The gin and tonic came out PINK! But oh yeah. A strawberry purée. He LOVED it! My husband ordered the seafood combo and it was fresh and delicious l. I ordered the goat cheese and sun-dried tomato salmon. OMG. Best ever! Gooooo!

OMG, have dinner here. We were visiting Tampa for the weekend and wanted some good seafood and came across Watervue grill. From the moment we walked in Kim was wonderful, offering us the full happy hour menu as well as her suggestions for our meal. She was 100% on and we loved everything. Definitely try the bacon wrapped shrimp, the grouper and the scallops. You will be thrilled that you did!!

This is a terrific spot. For couples (on a first date or their 50th anniversary), for small groups of friends or family, or for larger gatherings and receptions, I’m in love with their menu, the drinks, but especially the service. It’s wonderful to find a spot where you can just lean in, speak to your preferences, and let the service and the kitchen catch you as you gently descend in to food bliss.

Was very surprised that on Saturday morning I was able to use yelp reservation and plug in a reservation for 5 since after reading past reviews I was attracted to try the restaurant. Nonetheless, my wife and friends walked into a nearly empty restaurant at 6:45 p.m. Our server was a spirited young lady by the name of Amanda who was very knowledgeable on the menu items and attentive to our needs. By the time the meal was over the restaurant was nearly full and still Amanda did well to keep up as well as other support staff stepping in to make sure we were taken care of. We ordered the fried calamari and smoked fish spread which were delish and ample for the table. I would have maybe ordered the baked 3 cheese macaroni to sample with the appetizers also which we later found out was very tasty as one of our guests ordered it as a side. Otherwise, most of the choices of the entrees were scrumptious. Steaks and grilled swordfish were the choices. One entree was the red chili gulf grouper which was a very small portion in relation to the other entrees for $29. Very tasty but for a larger appetite not. Otherwise, no complaints as the entire staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a loft style feel with beautiful views into downtown Tampa and an easy walk from Waterstreet, riverwalk and the hubbub.

Excellent food! Great service by Amanda! What an experience. We had the smoked fish dip the pimento dip, toast, shrimp and grits, crab cake Benedict, and the yellowtail snapper sandwich. We wouldn't chang a thing about any of the dishes. The andouille sausage was a nice snappy sausage surprise in the shrimp and grits! Our mouths are very happy!

The staff was very friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. The venue is right off the water with a beautiful fountain out front. The place is not on the water. So do not be mislead by the name. It is across the street from the water. The atmosphere was clean. The hostess was beyond nice and accommodating. The server, hmm here is where our experience took a turn. We had a large party, so we understand we are going to be a challenge for even the most skilled server. We started our journey by being told how we are going to order and how our checks are going to work. We were told about the water and how it was filtered 5 different ways. Then we were introduced to the happy hour specials where we were told all of the starters were half priced. Wellllllll almost all, there were exceptions. We were wanting bar drinks but they filled the waters and said they would come back for drink orders. The server eventually took our bar drink orders and our party started arriving. When the majority showed up she decided to introduce us to the place and tell us she was an expert with the menu and everything was made fresh yadda yadda. She started talking through every dish on the menu, then couldn't remember what the sides were, but wait she's an expert. It is a very nice place the food was average at best, the portions were extremely small for the prices charged. I wish them well, but we will not return.

Highly recommend. While I can't speak to the food, the woman Ula was a huge help to me. I requested to send champagne to my friends who were celebrating and dining at Watervue & being an out of towner, I'm wasn't quite sure how it would go. However, Ula exceeded ALL my expectations and went over and above to make my request a special experience for my friends. Thank you, Ula!

Great happy hour deals, but food quality-wise, you're getting what you pay for. I'd have given them another star if their vessel for their various chip dips weren't saltines, or were clearly a homemade saltine variety even. I get they're trying to match the mood by using saltines, but it just comes across as cheap. I'd much rather go across the street to Cafe Dufrain.

OMG! Sooo good! A little fancy and a little pricey, but fresh and from scratch. Get there early in the night or they may run out of the fresh catch! Lots of great seafood options and their happy hour has great deals! Overlooks channelside and the arena.

We made reservations for a Friday night for our family and it didn't disappoint! When many other venues were booked, there was still room here. They are kid friendly with a kids menu containing many activities. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. The keyime pie was very sweet so the caramel cheesecake was more to our liking. The staff was amazing and so friendly! I highly recommend! We were seated by the window and enjoyed a beautiful view while we dined.
