Excellent food and fun atmosphere! If you want to catch the game, ANY game, this is where you want to be. TV's literally everywhere. Tons of different food options and lots of beverage choices. We started with Gator Bites and Boudin Balls. We couldn't believe the portion size and they both tasted great, and enough to take some home. The Gator was tender and juicy with a slightly spicy batter. Our main course, I got the chicken tenders, beautiful crisp, beyond tender and incredibly juicy. My husband ordered the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese. It was a mouth watering sandwich! The bread, crisp and golden with slices of bacon exposed; sandwiches stacked on top of one another. The waffle fries perfectly crisp. Our waitress was fantastic! Very attentive, friendly and had helpful suggestions. The only downside I could say is this: do not come here for a quiet, intimate meal or in any way looking to have a conversation with the members of your party. The ceilings are high, it is a bar/bar atmosphere and it is LOUD. None of these things are a negative if you know what to expect. The restaurant is clean, spacious, well staffed and as I said before FULL of televisions. This is where you want to watch the game, with friends, with new friends, come make new friends. Great new addition to Midtown.

The staff is wonderful! Flooded on opening weekend and every one of them was spot on. The drinks were AMAZING. Appetizer & entree portions and flavor incredible. The Krispy Kreme bread pudding was everything I was hoping it would be. I really can not emphasize how great the staff was everyone we interacted with was just great.

We had a fabulous visit today. Our waitress Miranda was the best ever, very attentive, pleasant, and represents how to take care of customers. The flavored lemonade needs a little work (more lemons and sugar). The food was awesome. We had Duck & andouille gumbo, Buffalo Chicken w/fried hard egg sandwich & waffle fries, hangover burger w/sunny-side up egg, bacon and hushpuppies (they were light and airy) .

Came for lunch! Loved it! Got the cali wrap and the fried chicken sandwich! The French does were great and seasoned well. The wrap tasted amazing and had good flavor!!!Great atmosphere, servers were nice and manager came to check on us! We were in and out in 45 min! Would love to come back and grab drinks!!

Just visited this sports bar during a VIP access only event 6/17/22 because the grand opening isn’t until 6/20/22 next Monday. I have to admit the food was pretty good. They have more than just burgers and wings on the menu. They have quite a bit of seafood and seafood pasta. They have a gumbo that sounded good but I got the blackened shrimp with a crawfish sauce that had chunks of crawfish. My dish could have used more sauce, it was a bit dry, but otherwise good. The staff was friendly, but you could tell they were new (again not officially open yet), they forgot some things, but our table had two waitresses so that helped smooth things over. They had greeters opening the door for you as you entered or left. Overall I would recommend this place since they have some seriously good food and drink options. One thing I found weird was they have like 8 one person bathrooms but they mark some as Men’s and some as Women’s. Why not just mark them all as unisex so that anyone can go into any of them. My son had an emergency and had to wait for one of the men’s bathrooms to open when there were other women’s bathrooms available. Just a thought.

This place is very nice. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The service is amazing and the food is even better. We had sliders for our appetizer, the burger sliders were juicy, fresh and made with real ground beef. For the main course I had the Louisiana seafood combo with jumbo shrimp catfish, hush puppies, fries and crawfish etouffee. Absolutely delicious 😋 we also ordered the Cajun Ribeye steak and mashed potatoes. The steak was a really good cut of beef. Juicy and tender. There wasn't much Cajun seasoning or flavor on it but it was good. The potatoes were thick and creamy. Our experience was superb. The restaurant also has space for large groups which is a plus. My cousins and I were starving on our trip through the Indie market and one of them found this place with Cajun food. We really had no expectations but it blew our minds how good and flavorful everything was! Everyone got different dishes. I got the Bayou pasta and it was delicious. I just thought the shrimp was salty but I love the portion and the spice. They didn't skimp on the shrimp and I loved the crawfish on the pasta. Wasn't overcooked. The artichoke dip was yummy! And the chips had a crunch! Not stale either! The beignets were heaven. Hot and the layers were outstanding. I had a taste of the bread pudding and it was decadent with a creamy texture. Not dense. Our server was very nice and checked up on us often. The place is clean and big. A lot of tvs for any sports to catch up on. The bathrooms are single and should be unisex but appreciated. There's even some crane games too! The food was worth it and would definitely go back for more!

Great sports bar in midtown. It's a large place with plenty of TVs all around plus outdoor patio seating. Service was great, attentive and helpful. Food was solid, I had a burger and it was good nothing extraordinary, but tasty and filling. Overall I'll be back for more games for sure.

I went last week with a few friends and colleagues. It’s a really nice setup with outdoor seating, tables, and a big bar area. It is extremely noisy. Extremely noisy. I found we often need to lean in to hear one another speak and had to raise our voices to be heard. If that doesn’t appeal to you, you’ll want to avoid. I recall thinking toward the end of our dinner that I can’t wait for the dinner to be over so I can get to my car for some quiet. They have a nice selection of food and drinks. Prices are fine. The staff is friendly and attentive despite the large crowds.

Sooo Walk On's was a random pick for us but a good one. They have PLENTY of TV's here if you are coming to watch sports. The inside is very loud so we sat outside. The staff was very helpful with giving their favorite menu picks. If you are looking for an after work or sports hangout, this is a good place. I could see myself coming back. What was ordered: BBQ Pulled Pork / Lemon Butter Chicken BBQ Pulled Pork = cleaned the plate Lemon Butter Chicken = the mash potatoes paired well

Met some friends on Sunday for some football, food and drinks. We had a great table with views of all the games.....which is huge for us fan duelers. Our waitress was new.... it was her second day and she was attentive and friendly and did a great job. We ordered the boneless wings, scholarship burger and the boudin balls. We all shared and everything tasted fantastic. The boudin balls were our absolute favorite. We tried some great cocktails too. The Tiki rumball and Moonshine swirl passed with A plus'. Wish we had one of these places closer! We would likely make visiting a more frequent football tradition. Tons of tvs. Tons of indoor seating. Outdoor tables available as well. Walk up window for drinks for those waiting.

Both my husband and I had fish. Me Salmon . Him reddish. Both tasted good. But both were a tad bit over cooked. The red beans and rice were the best we ever had. We had Krispy Kreme bread pudding. It was so good. Lots of TV's nice family sports bar. Will go back to try something else

Midtown Tampa is a brand new mixed development that has many great restaurants and Walk Ons is definitely one of them. We went on a Sunday during football season and there were many screens and fans. There was a great vibe. Our server was friendly and attentive. All of our food came out quickly and was delicious. I would highly recommend Walk Ons and we will definitely be back.

One of the better burgers we've had in a while but OMG the blackened chicken sandwich was awesome. Was worried about prices but after the plate was set in front of me that concern disappeared. The beignets were ok but not Cafe du Monde lol. It was a little loud but it is a sports bar and it was a Saturday afternoon during college football season so it was kind of expected. We will go back for sure.

Pretty large interior with outdoor seating. Cajun influenced menu which is refreshing! Plenty of TVs and had a live game playing on the PA system great for local team games. Chicken sandwiches and salads come with two 8 oz breasts!

First off I want to give a huge shoutout to our server Ashlyn! She was amazing with a great attitude and awesome recommendations. We had drinks, an appetizer, meals & a kids meal. Everything was delicious and well presented. I didn’t take any pics which I regret but everything looked and tasted great. My favorite drink was the spicy skinny margarita. Very tasty and refreshing with just the right amount of heat. The bayou pasta was yummy along with everything else. We had the bang, bang shrimp, catfish po boi with onion rings, catfish atchflaya and kids pasta. All of it was on point, flavorful and huge. Definitely recommend stopping by. You will not be disappointed.

First time going to this establishment and it was amazing! My niece and I were highly impressed with the service and the food was delicious! Not only were we seated right away on a very busy night, but we had at least 3 waitresses come check on us. Some places you can’t barely even get your own assigned waitress/ waiter to check on you-we had 3! Prices a reasonable. Food was delicious-hot and fresh! The sandwich we ordered had 2 large chicken breast on it, so we requested a to go box for the extra chicken breast and the waitress that was not assigned to our table was kind enough to bring us extra buns as well! All I can say is, I’m so glad I finally cashed in a gift card I had for the place! Definitely returning again!

probably a busy weekend, Sunday football ⚽️, food took longer and cold by the time it was served. bayou pasta was dry, had to ask for extra sauce on the side. cajun ribeye was too salty. but the cajun cuban and catfish poboys were both good including thr crawfish etouffee if you're craving for that new orleans cuisine.

Newest entry to the Midtown entertainment complex on Cypress. Impressive selection of draft beer and cocktails.. try the spicy margarita. Over 35 TVs for sports! Southern cuisine offered includes gumbo, etoffee, shrimp and grits, wings, and some special quesadillas. Try the BBQ pork sandwich! Bring a sweatshirt.. very drafty inside. Easiest parking is on the 6th floor of the garage.. the elevator is super fast

Sports bar feel For sure. Service is great. Drinks were good and on happy hour. Waitresses are kind and attentive. The alligator Buffalo tacos were hot lol, but very flavorful. Dip in ranch or blue cheese and it's even more tasty. Lol served with lightly salted fresh baked nachos/cheese. The seasoned fries were soo good, especially after dipping them in my nacho cheese lol Hubby shrimp were also tasty. Not too much to say on those because I'm allergic to shrimp lol Would definitely revisit. Happy Eating

Food came out very fast and the drinks were delicious. My server was a sweetheart, very kind, sweet and attentive. Food was also fairly well done although the seasoning of it can definitely be improved. I had the pasta Alfredo with chicken, the chicken was seasoned great but the sauce was not the best I've had. I will definitely return to try more items on the menu and see what this staff has to offer.

My wife, Kathy, and I had a phenomenal lunch at Walk-On’s in Tampa’s Midtown earlier today. From the very beginning, we sensed the enthusiasm of the staff; it was clear that they “aimed to please.” One of the proprietors, Billy, explained that they hire based upon attitude and provide good training, and it was evident that all of the staff (and, in particular, our waitress, Kathryn/Katie) had the “right stuff.” Honestly, we were expecting simple “pub grub,” but the menu was extensive, the food was well-prepared and delicious and the portions were bountiful. My Boom Boom Shrimp appetizer was yummy, and Kathy’s Tuna Tahini Salad was a masterpiece and could’ve been a meal in itself. My scrumptious blackened catfish was paired with both sautéed and fried crawfish, and the side of hush puppies was light and flavorful. Kathy’s Ribeye Po’Boy was huge, and the steak was moist, tender and tasty. We finished with a light Krispy Kreme bread pudding dessert that capped the meal off perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return (perhaps, to enjoy an upcoming Lightning or Gator game). This “Walk-On” will clearly earn a scholarship as a “first stringer.”

Tried Walk Ons for a date night, and it didnt disappoint. Nestled in a brand new shopping area, this place is the perfect couples outing. As for Walk-ons, it opened June 28th, but shows no signs that its staff is new. All the staff was very attentive and professional. On a non game day saturday night, it not crowded and we were seated immediately. Large local beer selection as well as import and standard beer all on tap! There is a walk up bar window outside. We tried the Cheese Fries that came free when you download their app. It was not just some canned nacho cheese fries on waffle fries. This was a mixture of cheese as well as peppercinies. The fries were perfectly fried and cheese melted. It was a great starter and perfectly priced for what you would get if you were to just pay for it. For our dinner, I had the voodoo shrimp and Grits, and my wife had the Steak Sirloin Po'boy. The Voodoo Shrimp and Grits was pretty good, although a far cry from what I would normally expect in New Orleans. This was a corn based grits, a little thicker than I was accustom to, but very flavorful. The shrimp was wrapped in baccon and fried to a light crisp with a sweet and spicy sauce. All in all this was a great mixture of what I love and something new. Portion wise it was spot on. For the Steak Po'boy, it was full of smokey flavor with a hint of bayou flavor. Served with a side of waffle fries and spicy ranch dipping sauce this is a game day must. Four dessert we had to have the beignets. This New Orleans delight is a must have, and is very well done. Light powdery sugar atop some sunny drizzled beignets is a great way to end. All in all between the staffs great service and the food that is made to order, no reheated I was reall impressed with the place. While still a sports restaurant, you can still get away and enjoy a private, and delicious dinner.

Decided to try this place when searching for a sports bar to grab a couple drinks while watching the games with some friends. We are from Orlando so we’re not too familiar with the area but wanted an overall nice, fun atmosphere. We decided to sit at the bar and as soon as we did, the bartender Michelle welcomed us and immediately made us feel as if we were at our hometown bar after we told her we were visiting the area. Her service and attentiveness along with the rest of the team allowed us to enjoy our time while having some great food as well! We definitely know our designated sports bar for when we do come back to the area. Overall great service and a multitude of options for a good bite and great sports night atmosphere!

First timer at this restaurant. I definitely will not order grill shrimp salad again. It had soggy lettuce. We sent back appetizer boom boom shrimp. 1st cocktail had to be made over. Chicken wrap was okay, fries over salty. Staff was 5 stars Mgr & server! Maybe some other menu type foods are what to order there. I really like the Midtown atmosphere and other places that I have been to there.

We went to Walk-On's for the first time and it definitely met our expectations! The food was really great and the service was even better. Our bar tender Mei did a wonderful job. All of the staff are extremely nice and attentive. The food is delicious and flavorful. To be a Louisiana inspired restaurant I think they did well. For my starter got the the Devils on Horseback Shrimp and have to say it was my favorite. It was fried to perfection and had an an explosion of flavor in each bite. That alone was so filling that I barely had room for my entree (shrimp and grits).

It has always been good experience whenever we’re at Walk-on. This place is spacious with so many good TVs that you can watch from any seat or angle you desire. We were there for dinner and they have good sound on for Sunday night football. Staffs are friendly and attentive. I would recommend getting the platter to share that comes with a cup of gumbo, fish, shrimp and waffle fries. Here you’ll find delicious Louisiana flavors and styles food that set them apart from the common items at almost every bar in Tampa Bay. To sum it up, great vibe, food, service and we’ll definitely will be back.

Walk on was the perfect place to start my first day out in tampa. My server Riley provided outstanding service and was very helpful when it came to choosing my meal. She was very kind and very attentive. I had an appetizer, entree, and dessert and it was just so perfect. I came from Houston, Texas today and just couldn’t choose where to eat but this was definitely a place I would recommend to anyone. Best bar food I’ve had so far!! Will definitely be back soon :)

My wife and I have been there twice, once by ourselves and once with a couple that lives near us. The first time we went, we sat down very quickly and the service was exceptional. I believe we were there on a sunday, the day after the Dolphins took on the Buccaneers and preseason a couple weeks ago. Server was very attentive. The second time we tried it out was a Saturday evening with our neighbors we were seated very quickly but there was a large group (50+) in the outdoor patio area and they were extremely loud. Due to the acoustics, we could barely talk to one another at the same table without yelling which probably was going on at every other table in the house so it just seemed very very loud and I am not talking about the television volume I am talking about the sound of everyone talking loud so they could hear one another. The food was good but the service was not what it was the first time and when you have to flag your server down and beg for a refill, I'm not a fan of that. Regarding management, never saw them and if they were there, they did not greet our table. I am a member of their Club as well as I purchased gift cards and the server brought the gift cards back to me saying one is used up and the other one isn't but I don't know one from the other and handed me both cards. I know it's not that big a deal but it is something that is noticed by me who was in the service industry a few years ago. Parking is free and a short walk to the restaurant. My wife and I will visit this location again but I can say that I enjoyed the location in North Tampa much more than I enjoyed this location.

We came in for dinner and ending up sitting at the bar because it was full. Emily was our bartender and she went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. The food was excellent and she never let our drinks get halfway empty. She was very fun to talk to and great at what she does! Definitely will be going back and requesting her!

Have had lunch and dinner here. The gator nuggets are fantastic. Fried pickles are plentiful but quite greasy. The Alfredo and fried shrimp dish was weird with the fried shrimp. The crawfish two ways was so good. Service was great. Two bathrooms had nothing to dry your hands with during lunch.

Visted for dinner tonight the atmosphere is great a really fun place to get together with friends. The food was amazing as were the drinks. This was my first time here and the food was really good. I had the Louisiana Platter and the jumbo shrimp was amazing. Joshua the kitchen manager was amazing! After bringing me out 1 shrimp that had fallen in the kitchen (which I had no idea), he continued to check on us. Promote him to store manager please.....he's great.

Great Great Great atmosphere. It was crowded like I like it. But, the people that had to seat you wasn't on top of seating. There were open tables, not many but 3 I know for sure and they didn't have them filled. Tables were open over 40 minutes. People kept asking if they can sit there because it was empty. They were just talking and playing around. I stood there the whole time which is how I know. They just want to make sure whoever is in front is taking their job seriously. But definitely go there. Food is bland but atmosphere great.

The table waitress was another 5 minutes before she got to us .. disappointing as it seemed the bar people got most of the service. The appetizer was really good . The shrimp Po-boy was bland not enough of the mayo.. and only a little half the bun in small amount of butte, the onion rings were WAY too spicy ... The pasta with sausage had way too much liquid smoke on it ..and it was bland like no spices at all ... We can say we have tried it. But will. It be back . But seemed like a happening place thanks for the good football though

The food was one of the best I have had in a while! I had the Bayou Pasta with crawfish cream sauce and fried shrimp. I’m not a fried shrimp fan, but this shrimp was flavorful and very tender. Most fried shrimp is usually tough, but this shrimp melted in my mouth. My husband had Lemon Butter Grilled Chicken with corn grits and he is still raving about it. His son had the catfish and of course I had to steal one. It was very tender and delicious with just enough batter!

We're a bunch of whimps when it comes to spicy food. None of it was too spicy. I had the cajudillas and red beans and rice. Both were very tasty and decent portions. We has 2 kids with us and they liked their food and the experience. Great place to go walking around while waiting for the hostess to text you to let you know your table is ready. Lots of convenient parking in the garage attached to the restaurant. Outdoor seating if you want to bring your fur kid. Highly recommended for anyone.

Great place to watch the game. The food is consistent at every location we've been to. We started with the Boudin ball appetizer. I recommend these, boudin and rice mixed fried balls, very good. For my entree, I had the jumbo fried shrimp, nicely done, breaded and fried just right. A nice golden brown and not greasy at all. It came with waffle fries, those were pretty good as well. I also had a blackberry moonshine swirl with it, it was ok, I recommend Strawberry, blackberry just didn't have enough flavor. Overall a great visit, staff was fast and friendly and the food was tasty and hot.

My friend and I visit this location often and we keep coming back for three reasons. First, the food is excellent. We’ve had about 10-12 different items on the menu and enjoyed every one of them. Their selection of side items is also a plus and we love the hush puppies. Second, we have peace of mind that we can come here on a Saturday night to watch college football and not deal with any UFC/MMA events and the awful crowd they attract. This location has made it clear that no UFC/MMA will be shown on any TV’s for any reason. We absolutely love that decision and I’m sure the staff does too, because UFC/MMA fans tip worse than visitors from England or Green Bay. Finally, we appreciate the hospitality at the bar from Amanda. She always remembers our names and is attentive to our drink and food orders. As a matter of fact, the only time we did not receive good service at this location was when Amanda was not working that night. Emma wasn’t working that night either, as we like her as well. Therefore, a previous review by someone named Amber McFarland cannot be taken seriously. McFarland is a one-star customer and may be attempting to receive something free just like a vagabond lurking outside Wawa a block down the road. We look forward to watching college football, more delicious food and wonderful service from Amanda and Emma at Walk-On’s in the coming months.

Not great, not terrible. Let me first say my food was to-go so I cannot speak on the atmosphere of the place, only the food. It was the white girl Karen equivalent of Cajun food. Nar a spice to be found captain! It wasn't bad, (except for the blasphemous things they tried to pass of as beignets). The roux in the gumbo tasted like it came from a jar and was very thin. The cheese sticks are HUGE and tasty but the breading is pretty bland and just kind of there to hold the cheese in. It adds no flavor to the food. However, the artichoke dip was on another level of yummy. It was spicy and thick and creamy and everything I've ever wanted a spinach artichoke dip to be. We got a few other things as well and they were what you'd expect from a sports bar, not terrible but nothing to write home about. We will be trying a few more things at a later date but so far, it's just regular bland bar food for the most part. If you had any expectations on getting good cajun food, look elsewhere.

Went here after seeing them on FOX 13 news. They were on a wait (but not too long) the food was excellent along with the service. My only complaint would be is out of all of the TV’s in the place they didn’t have the Tampa Bay Rays game on (their own home team) but they had the Tennessee football game on like 5 TV’s. When we ask if they could put the Rays game on they said something about their satellite couldn’t pick the game up or something to that effect.

Where do I begin? It's Friday night, the lunch rush has begun to die, and the rush shift has started to pick up. My husband and I, married for 16 years, decided to take on the new local Walk-ons bistreux; me being the Louisiana Connoisseur, I was excited to taste the beautiful options they offered. Picture this; you enter a restaurant in midtown, and when you walk through the door, the aroma of the food strikes your nose. Could it be? Duck and andouille Gumbo? The smell of catfish with waffle fries paired perfectly with a side of hush puppies triggers a mouthwatering, stomach-growling feeling throughout your body like a caged lion who hasn't eaten in days. My husband and I made our way to the host stand and were greeted by two beautiful hostesses that kindly sat us in the outstanding and hot blonde Jenna. She was quick with our waters with lemon and was very helpful in explaining the items on the menu in complete depth. She persuaded me to the chicken avocado sandwich but in a wrap. MY GOD, how my mouth melted when taking my first bite was heavenly. The entree paired very well with sweet fries and a diet coke. To end our wonderful experience, we tried the banana pudding made entirely from crispy cream donuts and the hot and fresh beignets. I will say we will be back for more!! Jade the General Manager loved our company and even offered us a coupon to use next time for a free app, walk-ons is not just a restaurant it's a home.

I’ve been eating at Walk On’s for years since they first opened in Louisiana. This new location in Midtown is top notch and everything I’d expect from the true experience I’ve grown to love. The food was incredible, true to its Cajun roots, the staff was super friendly, including our server Valerie. So nice to have a new alternative to the other great hot spots in Tampa! Our first time going to the master planned Midtown community was better than expected. This corner sports bar and restaurant was very well planned and thought out. It has inside, outside and half-in/half-out seating. The cool air conditioning is so nice that is cools the outside sidewalk areas with the doors and walls seemingly non-existent. The huge number of TV's throughout offer many options for sports viewing. Now the best part: the service was outstanding. We did not have to wait for any part of our relaxing dinner. Drinks, waters, appetizers and food were each brought out appropriately. My warm turkey sandwich was delicious. I could only eat half because it was so big. Hubby's pulled pork BBQ sandwich was the best he's ever had anywhere. They come with waffle fries which were warm and tasty. Like every other new restaurant in Midtown, the prices are not low, but it is worth it for the location, ambiance, service and food. There is plenty of free covered parking.

This was my first dining experience at Walk-Ons. Had the opportunity to meet the owner and Nicole T. was our server. The staff was very welcoming as I walked in the door. The menu choices provided variety since I don't eat seafood. The boudin balls were tasty and the consistency was great! The cajundillas was an interesting twist to a quesidilla and will definitely order it again. The red beans and rice was delicious. As you can tell I left with a full belly and will be back soon.

I absolutely loved my 1st experience at Walk Ons! My server Lissette was sweet and super personable and suggested me to try their Bayou Pasta, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely going to come back with a few friends. Being a Tampa native one can be a bit weary of these new spots popping up but I really hope Walk Ons does well and can stay around for a while. Walk-On's is interesting. The staff are very kind and they offer great service. I sat at the bar and never lacked for service. Some of the food is outstanding. The fish tacos are above average and the catfish with shrimp is large and unbelievable! There are many beer choices and many tv screens which show sporting events. The crowd is young and fun. Plenty of parking. The gumbo is awful but everything else I have tried is good or above.
