This place is surprising. Unassuming and situated close to a busy road, once inside the pleasant staff and excellent food will make you forget the location and very casual atmosphere. Although we are on the balcony, it felt like we were in Italy at a sidewalk diner. The cocktails were great; we had a Local Nectar and Sicilian Hemingway. The bread and olive oil had meaty pieces of soft garlic and just the right herbs. The food was delicious and appropriately priced for the serving size (also very Italian,) allowing room for an appetizer and desert. The only thing we would add is our pasta puttanesca didn’t have capers. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is my all time favorite for Italian. I could eat the sauce (gravy) all by itself. It is an hour away from where I live and worth going through downtown traffic. The food is outstanding. The restaurant itself is so cool. Bartenders are fantastic. I just love this place. The only negative is the parking situation, but we always manage to get a spot.

I'm a bit at a loss for words about this place so I'm only going to use one - Perfection!! The only picture I was able to take is of the meatball appetizer because once the rest of the food started coming, there was just no time for photography. We dug right in. The meatballs themselves were tender, the sauce was just right. The rest of everything else that we ordered was just excellent. Service is also above and beyond. You can tell the staff is well trained and actually care. I would recommend this place many times over for anyone that appreciated fine Italian food. Give them a try.

I LOVE this spot. So cozy and feels like a neighborhood Italian favorite! Okay now onto the food! They brought out bread and olive oil with some garlic and it was the perfect starter! Then we ordered the burrata because our waitress highly recommended it! OH MY GOODNESS it was HUGE! It was just my boyfriend and I and it was so much food for just us but delicious nonetheless! Then, onto our main courses. I had the gnocchi dish which was sooo creamy and delicious. The gnocchi was super fresh. I did have to add some red paper flakes to the dish but I love spice in all my dishes. My boyfriend ordered the Padellino Kampill. I tried some of his and MAN every bite was full of flavor! We could not finish our meals so we asked for to-go boxes. Even though we were STUFFED we HAD to try the Tiramisu. I mean, what is an Italian meal without a bit of dessert? Now, Tiramisu is my boyfriend's FAVORITE dessert so he's tried many in his time. He LOVED this Tiramisu. You MUST get it. It was so creamy and chocolatey and had a nice strong espresso flavor. We will definitely be returning here and I understand why people have voted Trattoria Pasquale the BEST Italian Restaurant in Tampa!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and it was an amazing experience. I believe our server's name was Julio and he did and amazing job making us feel so welcome. When we got there our table was ready for us with a chalk board sign that said "Happy Anniversary" and a card on our table! We are already impressed and it only got better. Our server came over to congratulate us and make sure we were well informed about the menu options. I have been to restaurant where they are so personal and informational. While waiting for our appetizer they brought us a glass of complementary prosecco since we were celebrating! To start, we ordered the Calamari Fritti and it did not disappoint. It was crispy and very flavorful. I ordered the Padellino Kampill and my husband ordered the Gnocchi Italiana. Both dishes were delicious. The best Italian food we have experienced. For dessert we had Cannoli and again they we some of the best we've ever had. We will definitely be coming back!!!

Don’t ever confuse the outside setup of this place The important things happen inside. Great service, better food and ambiance. The whole experience is great. We had and amazing waiter and waitress all of them inviting to enjoy. Service and Italian cuisine are the #1 priority. I had the Melanesia e parmigiana and was absolutely incredible The Burrata amazing Great wine and the best friends around were helpful to enjoy a great Italian in Tampa.

I've now been here twice in the last 7 days and cannot say enough about the fantastic service. I highly recommend Gina, but all of the wait staff are friendly and go above and beyond to take care of you while you're there. The atmosphere shows pride of ownership and is comfy and simplistically elegant. The food is so good, as is the white sangria! Ihighly recommend their eggplant parmesan.The cannolis make me feel like I'm home in NY! This has become my favorite place to dine in South Tampa. Please get the bruschetta! Excellent! Anthony is such a gracious owner and host!

We had a really nice dinner here celebrating our anniversary. Our server Luigi was very attentive and friendly, the seafood was fresh and perfectly prepared. Pasta was delicious. We would return.

Dinner and service we're superb. We started with the Burata board and mussels. Both delicious. Than we ordered the ravioli with mushrooms and gnocchi. Some of the best food we've had in a while. Also huge shout-out to our waitress Kaitlyn G. Shes the besttt. Knowledgeable, sweet and made sure we had a great dinner.

This restaurant is so beautiful and has such an amazing atmosphere. I enjoyed eating here. My only complaint would be that the menu isn’t very vast, but the food was amazing! I ordered the ravioli and was so impressed. Their drinks are also great. We ordered the burrata appetizer which did not disappoint. The owner also came out at the end to check on us. Very sweet and family oriented!

Wonderful experience. The food was out of this world and service was great as well. Came in for a date night with my boyfriend and it was so awesome. We ordered the calamari for appetizer, boyfriend got the Linguine alle Vongole and the special seafood soup that they had (tomato base with a bunch of fish according to our waiter), and I got the Medaglioni Gigetto. We wanted to order the meatballs appetizer but they ran out, sadly. The calamari was one of the best I’ve ever had my entire life. It was so crispy and tasty. Usually, whenever I ordered calamari at a restaurant, I don’t really care for the marinara sauce because the sauce is too sour for me; but, that’s not the case here. Their marinara sauce was so good I wanted to drink it. The sauce had a perfect balance of sour and sweet! Boyfriend liked both of his main dishes. As for the Medaglioni Gigetto, I highly recommend that dish. It was so good I had to order another one for my mom to try. The risotto in it was so flavorful, I originally thought it was a little salty at first but it got better after 2 bites. The steak was super tender, too. Our waiter was very attentive and had a dry sense of humor. Overall, would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Nice place to eat on West Shore. It’s an unassuming exterior with way too little parking… but once you walk inside you’ll be surprised at how busy it is. The clientele can certainly have an air about them, but there’s typically a nice mix of people inside and the restaurant doesn’t necessarily go out of its way to present itself as fine dining. We have gone 3 different times and have enjoyed the food all 3 times. Drinks are nice as well. The only reason it received 4 stars instead of 5 is the most recent experience was really dampened by a hostess that seemed to be upset over a miscommunication between her and a coworker. Otherwise, nothing I can say except try this place out. Great food. Good service. It’s a very enjoyable date night spot.

We went for Friday night dinner at Trattoria Pasquale. We made the prior reservation for the restaurant so we got seated as soon as we informed the receptionist about our reservation. The ambience was amazing and it is a modern restaurant with modern design. We were greeted by our server Taylor. She came with the water and menu. Since this was our first time we asked her about the popular dishes in the restaurant. From the recommendations we ordered Pollo Nonno Pasquale, Gnocchi Italiana, Caesar Salad. Our server came around five minutes later with Salad, bread and oil. We ordered butter too. We received our order in around 15 minutes. The food was freshly made and it was delicious in taste. We liked Nonno Pasquale and it was an amazing dish. Loved each and every bite of it. It is really an amazing restaurant.

After driving by this restaurant, several times, my boyfriend and I decided to try it. It was the best decision we made for the night. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic, the servers were so kind, and considerate with a smile on their faces. We met the GM and he was so glad to have us there. It really was a family atmosphere! There is nothing negative I can say about our evening. We will definitely be back, and I will definitely be recommending Pasquales!! 10+/10

Excellent place in South Tampa. We ate upstairs in the lounge area, which was very nice. Great liquor selection with many great cocktails. Food was great. The waiter makes sure to get the entire order first to ensure proper timing which is nice. Loved the veal Parm.

Interesting Special Dinner - Italy’s Basilicata region was the featured region for the chef’s menu with optional wine pairings. This southern region is not familiar to most people, so the menu from this region was an interesting change of pace from the usual “northern” versus “southern” Italian fare. Candidly no single dish stood out, but the overall experience was very good. The chef’s enthusiasm and passion for cooking make this an event that is worthwhile repeating.

Ate at restaurant last Friday night. Wonderful experience. Our server, Julio, was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the restaurant, making the experience the best we've ever had. Fantastic customer service and food! One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The owner was in a Santa suit and they gave our 1.5 year old a couple of stuffed animals to play with which he loved. Highly recommend!

They live up the street from there and told us it was their favorite restaurant in South Tampa. Our one visit showed why. My boyfriend and I visited this amazing restaurant for the first time tonight and we left so impressed with the food, people, and atmosphere. Our first time here and it did not disappoint. The meatballs were fantastic (and I'm not usually a meatball person), parmesan risotto was done perfectly. My husband had the Nonno Pasquale and I had chicken parm. Both were delicious. Staff was friendly. It was our anniversary and they even surprised us with dessert. We will definitely be back.

Authentic home-made Italian cuisine with generous portions at affordable price point. Our party of 4 sat in a cozy booth with high back seats for privacy along with our reservation name inscribed in chalk on wall made for a unique presence. Live music, fine dining with friendly and attentive service will definitely keep us as local regulars.

It was our first time dining here. Overall it was a good experience. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Luigi stopped by for a chat as did the manager. Parking can be difficult though. We started at the upstairs’ bar with a cocktail while we waited for our table. The bartender was alone and seemed much more interested in attending to his regulars than taking our order. Eventually he got around to us. I had the beaches drink and it was very good. Downstairs we started with the fried calamari and caprese salad. The calamari was cooked wonderfully, but the breading was a tad salty. The marina sauce was perfect. We ate most of it before I remembered a pic. I was underwhelmed by the caprese salad. The tomatoes were hard and flavorless. I’d skip this next time. We had the gnocchi and eggplant parmigiana for our entrees. I forgot to take pictures because we were enjoying both. And lastly were the cannolis for dessert. Yum! We enjoyed them with a cappuccino. I’m happy we took the time to dine here, but I’m not sure I’d be back. The food was tasty, but there are plenty of restaurants that serve tasty dinners and tad less pricey.

This was the second Big Night event that I attended and I wasn't disappointed. It's a seven course meal based on different regions of Italy. You have no idea what you are eating until after you've ate it. The chef comes out after every 2 plates and tells you what it was and where it originated. Every course was delicious and opens your palate to new flavors and dishes to try.

I made a reservation for four the night before and was able to secure a table on the outside balcony. The service was five stars all the way from the front door to all of the people that contributed to providing a wonderful experience. Besides our main waiter we had several people that brought dishes to the table and they were all very personable and professional. The atmosphere outside was nice included with twinkly lights, I would suggest tablecloths like they had inside just to elevate a little bit more. But this did not take away from how delicious the food was or how great the service was. They had a gentleman inside playing live music it was nice we could hear it outside very clearly and it wasn’t overly loud so we could still enjoy our conversation. It was our first time there and will definitely return.

What a pleasant surprise. Upon arriving in the parking lot of Trattoria Pasquale, I thought I had made a mistake. The inside was so different from the outside.. But once seated, & hearing the menu, I knew we had discovered a jewel. Julio, the waiter was fantastic. The Northern Italian menu was fabulous. One of the two best Italian restaurants that I've visited in USA. Since I've visited Italy many, many times, I think I have a good palate for Italian cuisine. We so enjoyed the evening we spent at this location! The service was exceptional! Everyone working together as a team to make sure we had the best experience ever. The food was delicious and the old fashioned drink was so good! The atmosphere is wonderful and the little touches around the building added to the ambience! We enjoyed viewing the photographs along the stairwell, each a precious memory to the owner, making us feel as if we were a part of the family. The upstairs bar was super cool and the live music a nice touch! We can’t wait to visit again.

Superb. Now, this is Italian food. The tood is NOT the usual American version of Italian food, this is Italian cuisine prepared by a master chef. Trust me, if you were walking down a street in Bologna, and you were lured into a trattoria by the aromas, you would find yourself eating in a place like this. Prices are more than reasonable, service is 5-star. Eat, enjoy. The specials are ALWAYS special.

This place has a nice ambiance. The staff were nice and answered all questions. I had the seafood stew and it was absolutely delicious! We even dipped the bread in the stew, that's how flavorful it was! Would definitely recommend and return. From the bread to desserts, it was great a great experience that me and my partner had on our date.

First time going to big night. Thought the food was ok but extremely overpriced. Menu was $85 per person but we were not told wine was additional $35 per person. For the food served thought the price was excessive. $350.00 for 2 with3 glasses of wine each was overpriced without having expensive or extraordinary items on the menu.

Chef Luigi is amazing! He accommodated our birthday party of 25 and held a special Big Night for us in a private room. Everything was delicious and the wine was flowing. It was a great party and I can’t wait to go back and have another delicious meal there.

If you say it’s Parma Prosciutto, bring me Parma Prosciutto. The appetizer was orrible, olives, artichokes, prosciutto. The main feature of the Parma Prosciutto, it’s to be sweet, the prosciutto in the appetizer was extremely salty, why? The linguini whith claims, was not perfect, but absolutely no bad and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The Nonno Pasquale veal was pretty good. Desserts. The chocolate cake, most likely wasn’t home made, the panna cotta was really tasteless. On the other hand the service was excellent, for first time the server was very, very professional and helpful and the the hostess very pleasant

loved it, really authentic italian. the veal in white wine was delicious and the gniochi gorgonsola was even better. yes there is no wine but that does not take away from the italian cuisine and you can bring your own wine with no charge. I recommend this place for all italian cuisine lovers

From the start an outstanding experience. Reserved through open table and my name was on the table when we arrived. The waiter Nick took extra time to explain the menu, the background of the chef and could answer any question related to the menu. We started with drinks, the Italian Margarita was very refreshing. We ordered appetizers and salad to share. Dressings are all homemade and delicious. For the main course we got the special which was cioppino and just fantastic. We also ordered the mushroom ravioli and the lasagna to share at the table. All were fantastic and authentic northern Italian. I highly recommended you give this restaurant a try.

We had Taylor as our server, fantastic experience. Very knowledgeable and took time to answer questions and seemed really genuine. Heard the other servers explaining questions in depth as well. Highly impressed with food we had. I really liked the different sauces we had on meatballs and pasta. (they do NOT do Alfredo, honestly was scared to ask why.) sausage was on point, and the cheesecake with balsamic was an eye opener. really glad we found this place and will come again, had been looking for a local place to come to and support.

Loved this place. We had meatballs for an appetizer and they we great. They tasted like homemade meatballs. So good. I had the spaghetti and my wife had the linguini, both were delicious. We love trying different Italian restaurants in the area and this is definitely our new favorite! Everything from appetizers to dessert was delicious and the friendly service was great. This was our first time here and it was so nice meeting Chef Luigi and seeing him go around to each table. We really enjoyed the warm atmosphere and the live music added to an already wonderful experience. We can’t wait to go back!

We absolutely LOVED the Big Night experience. This event focused on Calabria which was seafood focused and surprisingly, there was no shellfish. If you are not aware, Luigi, the Chef, creates interesting bites to serve that will represent the geographic focus and will describe the dish after you have eaten. There are also curated wine choices for purchase to complement the dishes. The Big Night room is separate from the main dining area. The service staff was so attentive (thank you, Diego and Aisha). At the end, Luigi comes to sit to discuss your experience. Fabulous! These are available to those who are a part of their email list. But don't wait for only the Big Night, come to enjoy their regular menu. A Gem!!

The food and service here is excellent. My party was celebrating a birthday and our server, Julio was wonderful. I had the caesar salad, fettucine alla bolognese, and the tiramisu. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. We ordered cocktails and each one came out perfect. I'm so glad I picked this place. It was a memorable birthday celebration. I'm excited to come back and try out something else on the menu.

We went to Big Night for my 30th Birthday. My mother absolutely adores this place and is a very loyal patron. She was hell bent on coming to Big Night and I love a gastronomic event so of course I was on board. I loved how they greeted you with an aperol spritzer. That set an awesome tone. Some of the guests ran late and it delayed starting the evening which was slightly disappointing but that is on the guests, I was just really hungry haha. The food was awesome, I loved how there was an explantation every two dishes telling us what we’re eating and how exactly it was prepared. I thought that was really awesome. My favorite dish was actually a stuffed tomato, it was truly excellent. The gnocchi was also memorable and the creamy sauce was delicious. The reason I give it four stars is because it felt like our table was forgotten part of the time. While we were waiting on guests to arrive the table ran out of water and no one came to check on us for at least 35 minutes. I would have ordered a glass of wine or two however no one came to ask if we needed anything. My aunt literally had to flag down a waitress to get us water. Also with one of the courses they forgot to serve us the wine pairing. I totally understand it’s a larger space than they are used to and working out the kinks however it was my golden birthday.. I turned 30 on the 30th and I wanted to feel a little more special and not be forgotten about. If it wasn’t my birthday I would not have be nearly as upset. There’s a ton of potential here and I think it will be great once they get used to the larger space. I will definitely give this place another try. I really loved Chef’s enthusiasm and that he visited with each table. The food was yummy and the atmosphere is nice. Curious to see what is in store for future Big Nights!

Well, where do I start? We went the 1st time at Mother’s Day. Although the menu was limited and not many choices for my liking I must say I went out of my comfort zone and ordered something I’d normally not order. It was veal ravioli and when I tell you it was OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING, there is no exaggeration! The caprese salad was so amazing & fresh! The sangria was so good and sweet! Not bitter one bit! My daughter had meatballs and ordered a second dish bc she loved it so much! My husband loved his as well! We went back on a double date for the 2nd time and ate there with another couple who was head over heels in love w/the food as well! My only complaint is the bread would be much better in my opinion if it was hot and soft! I mean Who is not a sucker for hot bread and butter when they are starving? Other than that I have absolutely no complaints. Everybody is super nice and attentive and we loved our waitress. We are going there this Friday with my family who is flying in from New Jersey and I can’t wait for them to try the food as well. We are actually celebrating a birthday and are super excited to be there while the live band is playing. If you guys are hesitant about making a reservation this is your sign to go ahead and book it because if you don’t you are missing the most authentic and fresh Italian food you will ever eat. Trattoria Pascual has our business as long as that building is still standing and serving! Bravo guys you are doing amazing!!

Every time I'm in town I like to stop by and have a meal here. It is an intimate little space with authentic Italian fare. Their mussels in marinara sauce is outstanding and I have it every time. As my main course, I ordered the mushroom ravioli. It was also nice, loaded with mushrooms. The waitress was attentive even though she was busy with multiple tables and very pleasant. Remember to bring your own bottle of wine because they do not sell alcohol; unlike me, who had the dash out real quick to a wine store on Clark Street and Gandy Boulevard to purchase a bottle.....

The atmosphere is different since they moved to Westshore, but the food is wonderful as always. And the table service might be even better. We named Gina "Miss Adorable" only to find that the young man helping her out was also adorable. The musician playing upstairs tonight was absolutely fantastic. His rendition of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was simply amazing. That's the great reasons to visit Pasquale's. Also, eating outside on their upstairs porch was very pleasant.

Once again a great evening at Trattoria Pasquale. The food was absolutely amazing! Our group chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, lasagne, beef tortellini in cream sauce, gnocchi, sirloin medallions with Risotto, meatballs, calamari, mussels and a veal special. And then there was dessert- the limoncello cake was the best!!! Then the bonus of the night- Luigi singing!!! Can’t wait to go back!!

When you sit in this restaurant you feel a sense of family & pride in their restaurant. The food was so amazing I think my husband and I will be back tomorrow! Don’t expect the food to be out super fast because you can tell your food is fresh made from scratch. It’s also bring your own wine. Simply put, this restaurant exceeds all expectations. I reserved a table and arrived early waiting in the parking lot. An older man with a shirt that read "Needs more salt" gets out of a truck with an Italian flag as his front license plate. My girlfriend and I look at each other and I say "well he must really like Italy". I was about to find out how true this statement is. Once we step inside we are immediately greeted and brought to our table. Our server (Diego?) is extremely pleasant. He was able to answer any questions about the menu, as well as recommend wine. He was attentive throughout the entire dinner, refilling drinks, making sure we were taken care of. The service here makes you feel like you're the president instead of just a customer. The menu was surprisingly diverse for how complicated the flavors were. We tried something from each course (antipasti, primi, secondi, and dolce). The calimari was lightly breaded and seasoned. It was cooked perfectly which allowed it to be slightly chewy instead of mushy and overdone. The marinara was clearly made in house, was served hot, and was so good I had to scoop some with the bread. For primi I shared tortellini emilia and secondi was medaglioni gigetto. The tortellini was perfect and the dish was well balanced and portioned. The sirloin with risotto, well there just aren't enough words to describe this. You eat it, and when you're done you realize you're back on earth after falling from heaven. This may have been the best dish I've ever eaten. Every single bite was perfection. We could not believe a meal this good was possible. This is a casual restaurant with world class execution from every section of the house. Some restaurants hope to simply be successful. This restaurant seeks to recreate the magic of Italy here in Tampa and does so with ease.

The manager was rude telling my friend and I we needed to go sit in the bar if we were just chatting because he needed the table when there were several other available tables. We spent a decent amount of money and I felt it unappreciated. He certainy could have handled the situation a bit more gracefully.

A lot of places use the phrase " family owned". You can meet the owner and their family while you are there, so it is really family owned and operated. They started out in a small little store front and now they run a full size resturant which tells you a lot about their food. It is definitely Italian with a true homemade flavor. Ask them about their "big night" experience.

Had an amazing dinner! The best marinara I have tasted in years. St.Pete/Tampa has very little to choose from for Italian food. You must check them out. Try the calamari with "to die for" marinara. Chef Luigi catered for the Italian Club second annual comedy and music revue and the food was spectacular so I decided to check out his restaurant. I was greeted cordially by the hostess and seated a half hour early from my reservation. My server Ed was very prompt and well versed on the menu selections. The lasagne was out of this world and my girlfriends chicken marsala had great flavor as well. I am always impressed when the owner comes out to chat with customers as Chef Luigi did with everyone in the restaurant. He's a really nice guy! I will go back again and again.

My wife and I went here for the first time recently. It was on a Sunday for what they call their 'Big Night'- where they offer a 7 course menu which isn't revealed until you're presented each dish. Each Big Night is a different menu from a different region of Italy. The chef is obviously passionate about his food, and it shows on the plate and on the palate. A few things to note- they don't have a liquor license, but will cork wine that you bring in. Overall, a great experience and I would go back without hesitation.

They now serve their own alcohol and have an independent location (was in a plaza before). Be aware of corking fees. August 2020 Great place for a romantic dinner. Make reservations. Small, family owned. It's bring your own bottle (byob) of alcohol. They have soda, water, coffee, etc. Entrees are from $14-$22. Side salads were surprisingly not interesting, but the eggplant parmesan and clam pasta were a dream. Felt like I was on clouds with the tiramisu. Light, airy, crispy calamari as an appetizer. Small menu, the way restaurants should have it. Many people in groups were there. Definitely will be back again.

Luigi's restaurant is a great place to lunch or have dinner with friends. The food is excellent. Everything is freshly made. Luigi and his staff are welcoming you as family member the second time you enter the Trattoria. Due to the fact that Luigi does not have a license, you have to bring your own bottle, which is great because normally this is where the bill gets high! It also explains the very gentle bill at the end of the meal. On regular basis, several times a month, Luigi organizes his famous "Big Night", a secret seven courses dinner, focusing on a different region of Italy each time. For $35, there is no excuse for not asking to be added to the invitation list.

Our friendly and knowledgeable and spunky server was "Sunny". If you can enjoy her service, it will add to the experience. Sunny recommended a couple specials of the night and we were not disappointed. We started with a freshly made, oooey, gooey mozzarella caprese salad - a must if you enjoy something new. Our beverages were attentively filled. We enjoyed fresh, warm bread and seasoned olive oil until our salads arrived. Then, the entrees. I enjoyed the freshly prepared Lobster Ravioli - absolutely delicious - so I tried to eat it slowly. My partner had the Parpadelle Tina and it was awesome. Both dishes were savory and delightful. We'll be back. NOTE: You'll need a reservation to be able to sit at one of the only dozen tables, unless you go during the middle of the week. Enjoy!
