With the Palm Harbor Craft Festival just outside and a noon time crowd it was very busy but things moved very fast. The food was great, the ambiance jolly and boisterous. The girl seating everyone had eternal patience and a ready smile. Our server George must moonlight as a comedian. I liked the diverse menu and the food coming out of the kitchen looked awesome. Best idea I saw was the food when ready was carried hot and pronto by kid runners, no waiting for a busy server. Great place to eat and drink, nice outdoor hangout to pass the time. Highly recommend.

I chose the Thirsty Marlin because I read they were pet friendly, they treated my pups like their own pets and even brought them a bowl of water! Now to the food and drinks, I ordered a rum bucket! Yum! For an appetizer I picked the fried green tomatoes, amazing and garnished with blue cheese crumbles , scallions and tomatoes they were delicious! I had the shrimp tacos which also were incredible, they came with a side of black beans and rice. George was my server and he took great care of me! Everything I ordered was delicious, I would definitely come back to try some of the other dishes ! I wish I had ordered dessert! Next time 😉

It is a nice local restaurant that had both indoor and covered outdoor seating. If you go during the summer, make sure to wear mosquito repellent as the outdoor area will have a few bugs roaming around which is normal. As a fellow reviewer stated, with inflation alot of dishes range between $15 - $25. Tip is not included. Our total came out to $68 for a appetizer and 2 main dishes. We had tuna slices as our appetizer. I am not remembering the exact name of the app but the tuna itself was delicious. The red sauce under was spicy and was not my favorite. I have to say, I don't enjoy tuna in a can so I was surprised when it came out looking like real fish and it was fresh. I never thought about it before really lol. It was $17.99 at the time I went in July 2022. We also had Jambalaya which I will say was amazing. I am allergic to shrimp so I had them replace the shrimp with chicken strips. So delicious with the sausage it came with as well. It cost us $24.99 at the time. My partner had a lobster quesadilla which he did not enjoy and I didn't really care for a quesadilla at the moment so I didn't try any. He stated it was sweet for some reason and didn't finish it. Make sure to ask the waitress beforehand how some foods are since they don't know how you will react to certain foods or if you will enjoy the taste. I believe this was in the $17 - $20s range as well. Since there weren't many individuals in the restaurant, I'll say about 20-30 all around the entire restaurant, we were in and out between 45 to 1hr and 25 mins. Not too long. There were more individuals at the bar than anything else. Besides us, there were 2 other tables outside preoccupied. Most individuals were inside.

Exciting food options. Nice and cool inside with an outside bar and tables. Definitely a great spot to stop for good food and drinks. All prices have gone up by hand written stickers. Also 3% transport surprise charge on the receipt. How sad to price gouge your paying customers with no notice. Not cool.

Everything was so good! Ashley was a great server and we enjoyed our time on the back patio near the TIKI BAR!!!! You can tell they have live music from time to time since, there is a stage 😎. Lots of fans to stir the air and almost every table outside has cover or an umbrella to shield from the sun or rain. We will definitely return again when we are in this area!

Huge restaurant with many different rooms , some small and private some large and open to the outside . Always live music here at night and weekends. The food is delicious and service alot of fun . Can’t wait to go Back

Thirsty Marlin has amazingly delicious food! We eat there often and have never had a bad meal. Service is always prompt and friendly. They have great live bands and the tiki bar outback is my go to spot for a happy hour drink. It’s the kind of place that the bartenders and patrons become friends. There’s always a good time around the tiki bar and service is always top notch! It’s where the locals go!

Spectacular food. Stopped by for the first time. Wife had the portabella sandwich and I had the rodeo burger. Both were great. Fresh ingredients. Onion straws on the burger were plentiful and we'll seasoned. Excited to go back and try different items. Salmon wrap was well seasoned and plenty of salmon. Fish and chips had a tasty batter and fresh fish. Plenty of food on the plate. 2.26.22 - tried the poke nachos. Amazing. 100% worth the price. Huge portion, qualify ahi.

Quaint, mom and pop joint for everything seafood! Service was great and food was delicious! We had the Bahama Mama conch fritters, the Pressed Cuban Sandwich and a piece of their key lime pie 💚 The beer was cold and the Goombay Smash was quite tasty 😋 Perfect place for a quick bite!

Had a casual client event here. We had the perfect spot just off the bar for our small group. Had a great time. The tuna nachos are to die for! Our server, George, was kind and on the ball! Excellent service and atmosphere!!

Tried this place for the first time today. I was amazed. The food was phenomenal and the service was impeccable. Nelson went above and beyond to make sure my wife and kids were happy. I ordered the Jambalaya but after a bit Nelson came back and profusely apologized for the inconvenience. It held our lunch up a little bit but I ordered the Blackened Bacon Wrapped Scallops and it was amazing. Nelson gave the kids free dessert for our troubles. The owner Al came and asked how our meal was and we had to admit that this was one of, if not THE best dining experiences we have had since the pandemic. We will return. Often.

Looked on reviews and decide to have dinner on 08/24/22. We arrived at 5 pm and immediately were seated Waiters were Kory and Koty with one being trained and first day on the job. Ordered the onion rings as a appetizer it arrived I five minutes cooked fresh and hot and were excellent. We ordered the fish and chips fries and slaw. Also ordered 8 shrimp (jumbo size ) fries and corn. Food arrive before we could finish the onion rings and everything was fantastic. Also my wife had a strawberry daiquiri I would rate this 5 stars and we are going back.

One of the all-time greatest spots to eat in Palm Harbor. When people say that Palm Harbor has the best restaurants, this is the first place that flashes to mind. Makes me miss days with my grandparents here 20 years ago when I was a kid. Been back in my adulthood and it's just as awesome as ever. Huge hearts in these owners to keep the quality up after all this time.

Been going forever. Nice to see old town Palm Harbor growing and vibrant. Probably could use a refresh here to keep up. Food not as good as remembered. Burger overcooked, grouper on dry side. But always thought great. May have been just. SAT thing.

Service was excellent and food with minor adjustments would make this 5 star. The seafood stuffed jalepenos were simply perfect. It would be even better if as an option they did them pan seared and topped with some carmelozed onions with the sauce on the side, versus breaded and fried. But still, the jalepenos were excellent as they were and get 5 stars. The grilled jerk chicken was also fresh, cooked perfect, and flavorful. 5 star there as well. The blackened fish sandwich was all around fresh too. Where things fell short and really should not have is with the side items. The slaw would have been better if apple cider vinegar based and made in house. Andrew fries were a disappointment add they need to be fresh cut in house to give the perfect dining experience. Overall great food and excellent quality with a good flavor profile, depending on the item. A few minor fixes and this establishment would be a strong 5 star experience.

We had the fried green tomatoes, and lobster bisque, and I had shrimp tacos and hubby had the French dip with onions and mushrooms... I enjoyed all of it... he is pickier than I am. The food came out hot and fresh.. cooked well. His French dip was not as flavorful but nowadays we all have to watch how we salt and pepper. I was 😊 happy with mine!

Great time to grab some happy hour drinks and some great seafood. Food was delicious and bloody mary was the best I've ever had. Live music in the afternoon with an outdoor tiki bar. A must visit if you are in the Palm Harbor area.

This is one of our go-to places. Never disappointing. From dinners to sandwiches this place rocks. My wife loves the battered shrimp, the fish is great, and the ribs are out of this world as well. And while you are there be sure to try the rum punch bucket. A delicious combination of fruit juices and flavored rums. Live music nightly. And while there is no official dance floor you can usually find room to do a twinkle or two. Daily specials from all you can eat crab to lobster to unlimited shrimp. A definite must stop if you are in the area.

Stopped in for some Happy Hour drinks and an appetizer. Tried something that is so crazy the Bartender asked are you sure? But not crazy in a bad way.....crazy delicious. Like a guilty pleasure. Pulled pork onion ring nachos. That's right instead of tortilla chips its onion rings. Soooo good. The nachos were loaded with pulled pork and cheese all the flavors worked perfectly. Bartender was friendly and professional.

Being a tourist in the area I rely on recommendations, or on reviews through online searches. I usually prefer to go to restaurants where the locals go and that are not chains. So with all the above criteria that’s how I decided to go to this restaurant. It’s located in an unique area in Palm Harbor, where there are several restaurants adjacent to each other. They all have that Islands/Keys look, including this one, which is a fun ambience. There is outdoor and indoor seating, and today they had live music outside. I elected not to sit outside because there is a smoking there. The service is friendly and attentive. The menu is interesting, with items that you don’t see often, like cracked conch. There is also a board with the specials of the day. My husband have not had cracked conch in 25 years, so he was excited to see it on the menu, which he ordered. It was more in thicker strips than the thin layers that he’s used to. Also, the batter was thicker not allowing you to truly taste the conch. I ordered the Grouper Atlantis as I read rave reviews about it. It was a well made dish, with lots of seafood topping the tender grouper: shrimp, crab and sea scallops. However it is not my style of fish preparation. For my taste it was too rich because of the thick Hollandaise sauce and added to that a layer of melted Parmesan cheese. It will be a finer dish if the Hollandaise sauce was thinner and more lemony to balance out the fish and seafood, plus without the cheese. I read the dish description before I ordered it, however I thought it would be more the way I just described it, so that’s why I decided to order it.

Fried Grouper Sandwich was crispy, yet firm and flaky delicious Grouper, fresh onion slice, lettuce, juicy tomato on a fresh onion roll, accompanied by crunchy sweet slaw, and green beans w/sliced carrots dusted w/cheese. Folks, this is heaven on a Sandwich. Thirsty Marlin is located in the heart of Palm Harbor. Sit inside, sit under the trees, or in the tikki bar backyard w/live music. Multiple bars. Delicious Sushi Rolls!

Both my wife and I had the fried shrimp. They were way, way too salty and the breading was so crunchy I thought I was eating the tails of the shrimp. The cole slaw and fries were good but the preparation of the shrimp ruined the dinner for the both of us. For $21.99 each it was not worth it. Tell your chef to lighten up on the salt and crispy breading. Normally I do not leave reviews but this was bad enough that I will think twice before eating here again.

Had a great dinner and service at Thirsty Marlin. Started with the green bean appetizer then sushi and coconut shrimp-best coconut shrimp ever! We sat on the back patio and had great service by Ashton, he knew the menu and the specials, which were many, and he was very attentive even though he had many tables. Thanks Thirsty!

As a local Realtor and new transplant, our weekends have been spent exploring the area and finding fun spots to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed my sushi here. Ryan recommend the Hawaiian Roll (picture attached) and I also ordered the Palm Harbor Roll in honor of our new hometown. A definite place to relax, enjoy live music and good food.

Went here for dinner and we had the Lobster quesadilla & Buffalo quesadilla. You definitely get your money's worth! They didn't skimp on anything! It was the most stuffed quesadillas we've ever had. They were both delicious. My only complaint was the waitress reached over my plate 4 times and touched my food once in doing so. It was completely unnecessary as there were only 2 of us at a 5 seat table.

I really liked the garlic butter and cheese on the veggies. Got the grilled scallops and they were alright, a bit over cooked with a rubbery texture and not too much flavor. Potato was nice. Kind of expensive for the quality of food.

Food was excellent, prices were reasonable. Entertainment was great. The only problem was that once our waitress took our order, we never saw her again until we went searching for her! We were in the patio area, and evidently they saddled her with a table of 20 people in the indoor area! We had to keep stopping busboys to ask for condiments,etc. When we asked for our check, she came out and apologized and explained what had happened. Shame on management not making sure that her other tables were covered! This was a Birthday dinner that was dampened by the lack of attention of our table of 3.

Very disappointed about where this place has dropped to. Food was mediocre and the atmosphere was terrible with staff shouting to each other and slamming trays right next to our table. No wonder it was empty.

We went to Thirsty Marlin this week and had an awesome time. The Atlantis was out of this world - grouper, shrimp and crab. Wow!! We also had the jerk chicken but I can't say I was a huge fan. The flavors were good, I'm just not a big jerk seasoning fan. Our waiter was Kameron and he was awesome. He was really helpful in choosing or meals and was a lot of fun.

Went with my wife on a busy Saturday night. It appeared as though they might have been a bit shorthanded but the crew was hopping. Our waiter was “Cameron” (sp?) and he was personable and moved with a sense of purpose. It looked like he was handling several tables besides ours and didn’t look like he ever wrote anything down !! Food was excellent; service was excellent; and live music was excellent.

Great food, and plenty of it. My fiance and I went there for dinner on the recommendation of a friend. When I first walked in, I was overwhelmed by an odor that I can only describe as rancid beer. I think the problem is in the rug at the front door. After we were seated I went to the ladies room and was once again overwhelmed by the odor of sewer gases backing up into the room. I'm asking myself whether I want to eat in this place, but decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Coconut shrimp and ribs were excellent: ribs were tender and fell off the bone, the coconut shrimp was a generous portion and served with a great pina colada sauce. I love coleslaw, so I ordered it as a side and was greatly impressed. I highly recommend Thirsty Marlin, and will definitely return. I hope they will address their odor problems.

Always a great meal with casual atmosphere We have been here on several occasions at various times and its always great service, fantastic food and drinks. The fish is always fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque is the best in town. Everything I have ever ordered has been delicious.

Long time staple in Palm Harbor Florida and for good reason. The food and drinks!! The Conch fritters are smallish but very good. We also tried the Fried Green tomatoes. Not the best but still crunchy and tasty. The fish tacos were just about perfect! Blackened Mahi done crispy and spicy. Shredded cabbage, guacamole, diced tomatoes and a creamy taco sauce and just enough shredded cheese to complete three fabulous tacos. Of course the frozen strawberry daiquiri were potent and delicious. Friendly staff and very attentive. NICE lunch.

I planned a 90th birthday celebration at The Thirsty Marlin this past weekend for my Dad and it far-exceeded my expectations! All of the wait staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and efficient. Big shout-outs to Nicole and Michael who were WONDERFUL with the 24 people that filled the room. The food was fabulous, served hot and the portions were huge! I highly recommend the Thirty Marlin for your special occasion party or just a nice meal out as you won't be disappointed. Thank you Cinda for accommodating us to ensure the evening went so smoothly. Thirsty Marlin offers mostly typical bar food, but better than average and with generous portions. The service was rather informal but pretty good, especially considering the number of people in our party. The atmosphere was definitely noisy, even though the band had not started to play, in spite of having been setting up for over two hours.

Had a wonderful time with friends on a Friday night! The band, Rhythm Express, was great! Laid-back atmosphere with a small town vibe is what this place offers, along with a wide selection of libations and food. I had the poke bowl and my husband had some tuna tataki and sushi. Delicious! Hubby was also happy to have Reef Donkey on draft, so all in all, it was a good night.

We had been to Thirsty Marlin years ago and it was great. This time, terrible. Long wait to get waited on, long wait in between appetizers. lunch, getting our bill. Very disappointing. Brought family there from out of town for mother's day. Oh, and they weren't too crowded, So the poor service we can't blame on that.

I’m surprised that I have not reviewed this restaurant yet. We have enjoyed their seafood many times over the years. The coconut shrimp (which I had tonight) is one of my favorites. Husband usually has the fried shrimp (very good), but opted for the cheese burger tonight (3/2/22). Justin was our server, and he was excellent. He took our order after giving us time to peruse the new menu. He was quick to deliver our drinks, and the entrées came out hot. We were one of several tables for him, and he did his best taking care of us. The burger was delicious, according to my husband, as were the fries and slaw. But the onion bun was not good. He chose not to eat it. When he mentioned it to the manager on our way our, she apologized. Said supply issues mean that they must take what they can get. It was noisy tonight, so when we talked, we were straining our voices. Music got louder when we left. Outside areas for eating looked good, but they were not quieter. It was disappointing to us for it to be loud and busy on a Wednesday night. But we know it was good for the owners and servers.

I loved this place, they have a great location, live music , great service and the food used to be amazing… but the last couple of times the food hasn’t been as good as it used to be. I’m happy it’s thriving, serving the community and generating jobs but you can’t let the quality of the food slip.

Overall we had a good experience here. We did wait about 15 min from being seated to someone coming over to us. Kole was our server and did a good job! Food was good and fast, Drinks we’re good but took a bit. Wish they had a drink menu at every table along with condiments. What a great place the food was awesome, Jacob is a waiter there he is so kind and considerate, he wasn't our waiter but he talked to us what a nice guy. The margaritas to die for I had both the slim and the $5 house they're both good. We went there on Sunday they have Dollar oysters and $2 oysters unbelievable great I had chicken wings they were the best, everything there was remarkable the service the bartender the food it was an amazing afternoon. Kaylee our waitress he was the best, she took unbelievable care of us she made our afternoon. I can't thank her enough and everybody there that made our day wonderful. I went back to Thirsty Marlin tonight to speak with the manager and to get my credit card. I didn't realize until today that I didn't get back. He was very understanding, gave me a nice gift certificate but no credit card found. Cancelled, now I get to wait for another one and change all my bill payers. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT... THIRSTY MARLIN... you may have eaten at this establishment or not. It is located at Florida Ave. in Palm Harbor. I met a few girls there last night for Happy Hour and dinner. Happy Hour? I'm not a real drinker or even a fake one, really. I ordered a shot of tequila. Austin, our great and very personable (dimpled) waiter asked me what brand. I told him his choice. I then ordered coconut shrimp for $21.xx. He told me it came with 2 sides and pointed where the side items were. I asked him if he could make my order 2 of the sweet potato fries that were on the list. He told me not a problem. The shot came in a low ball or old fashioned glass, not a shot glass. I took 3 SWALLOWS of this "shot" after the 1st gulp I expected a burn .. mmmm I'd have to say-NOPE, NOTHING. IT WAS WATER!!! Got my dinner. Excellent service and food was out of this world. I ordered another shot, thinking I'll give them the benefit of... Another "shot glass" and NUTTIN BUT WATER. I told Austin about it. Got my bill for the 6 coconut shrimp and 2 sides of sweet potato fries, diet coke and 2 shots. Came to $46. The shots, $8/piece, "are not included in Happy Hour" WHA? (wish I would have known to ask that, duh) I asked server Austin if he talked to his manager "oh the reason it tasted like water is that it was served cold. (Cold tequila?) Ok fine. That's $16 off of a $46 bill. ($30 for the non-mathers out there) Soo then find out that the sweet potato fries must be extra. NO WHERE did it say that on the menu or did Austin tell me. So I spent about $57 on ___. But had a great time with friends. I'm saving you the time and $. We have great seafood restaurants here but my advice is to go elsewhere. I know times are tough now a days. I'm chalking it up to LESSON LEARNED. This has been brought to you by one unhappy customer.

We went out Cinco de mayo, but the place next door was on a 2 hour wait, so we thought let's try the Thirsty Marlin, this place must have tacos. We ordered shrimp and Mahi Mahi tacos. The food wasn't my taste. My chicken tasted like fish the only thing I ate was the fries. And even though I took off the lettuce and tomatoes and onions I did not know that there was mushrooms. I hate mushrooms so when I bit into my sandwich I spit it back out. The service was great she noticed something was wrong and she copped my meal. She did ask if she can redo it I said no I don't want it because I didn't want to stay there it was crowded no 6 feet apart and no mask the guy behind us was literally loud and I have anxiety so we left. Our waitresses very nice and friendly. But I don't think we'll be coming back. If you like seafood this is the place to go. You like music this is The place To go They have live music outside on the patio. If you like alcohol will they have a bar so this is your place to go. Everything was okay beside my food and my son didn't want to eat his food and the annoying customer that was seated in back of us. But my other son and my husband they enjoyed it.

I was here last night to celebrate Easter with my girlfriend & her family & this place was really cool. Loved the live music (the band they had was called Whiskey Throttle & they killed it) The crowd was cool & friendly as well as the servers. It was a fun time & the food was great. The prices were very reasonable. I got a big bowl of Lobster bisque for 5$ & a large serving of the sweet potatoes for only $3.50. It was an all around nice experience. I will definitely return again, when I go back to the area!

This place is awesome. We first sat inside to eat, but we decided we wanted to sit outside because it was very nice out and a nice breeze. The food was awesome. Bacon wrapped blackened scallops with a thai chili sauce brushed on and was it ever go delicious. I had fried corn on the cob and sweet potatoes fries. My finace' had Calamari, and a bowl of Lobster bisque soup. Beg plates and a lot of food. Definitely priced right!!! Loved it and we will be going back again real soon!!! We had a moms meet up of 30 women , we were turned away from so many places because they didn’t want a party that big , thirsty marlin accepted us , no deposit , had the tables set for us at our arrival time ! Our waitress , my god what a rockstar !!! She separated checks , kept track of everything , was so attentive did not miss a beat , they were patient while we waited for our party , so welcoming . This establishment exceeded everything , all the women agreed , this is the place we will continue to hold our moms dinners because the food , environment and staff were AMAZING !!! I am impressed , I will make sure all of Pinellas county knows how amazing this place is ! Beyond impressed ! The menu selection is HUGE the food quality is amazing and most of all thank you to the staff , above and beyond !!! Excellent food and service. The best onion rings in Florida. Shrimp tacos with 3 shrimp in both tacos. Chicken beans and rice was a generous portion. I ordered the blackened prime rib, and baked potato. It was delicious. The meat was tender,and juicy. Potato was fully cooked, and the peel was washed Also had the conch fritter appetizer. Batter was delicious the conch was sparse. For dessert I had the key lime pie. It was made the way it should be made. Tart and thick yum!!! Drinks are good and you can smoke out on the covered patio where there is live music. Wasn’t our first choice for lunch but glad this was the alternative. Lunch for four, cool setup, great vibe and great service (Becky). Ordered some beers and a couple of Bloody Mary’s which were excellent. Had the Scorned Woman Buffalo shrimp as an appetizer, outstanding! Then split the Ribeye sandwich with onion rings, again excellent. A most enjoyable experience. Food and service were two thumbs up. Definitely recommend giving the Marlin a look.

Two recommendations: the Wonton-Poke Tuna Nachos are to die for. Enough for a table of four. Because of the size of the nachos, we shared an entrée and added another appetizer. Can't say enough about the Grouper Atlantis. A different seafood taste in every bite! That entrée was coupled to the Seafood Stuffed Bacon (wrapped) Jalapeños. Great service. For appetizer had best fried clams I've had since I was a kid some 40 years ago. Had bacon wrapped scallops (9) for dinner served on pilaf with two sides. Onion rings were great. This is a tough review to write and understand. First it is a cool local bar hangout with a lot of charisma and personality. We went on a Monday nite for the all you can eat crab which was 4 stars. Beyond that the group I was with that ordered off the menu truly did not like their food. The service is slow as all servers are long timers and older people who play up to their snow bird customers with big pensions in scantily clad outfits. The outfits get zero stars. If you're looking for tasty crab then yes but beyond that avoid this establishment at all costs.

Key West like atmosphere, love the back patio. We happened to hit a great special our last time there - all you can eat Shrimp for $19.95 - it was so yummy. The grilled version had a very pleasing wood smoked flavor. Our waiter was very attentive and had no problem bringing us continuous plates of shrimp. Wonderful experience!

Food is always average -- drinks are generally okay -- it is quite simply a neighborhood place that has gotten way-long in the tooth. That is okay with attention to detail... but it's been lost here. That said, they do bring in decent musical talent, have a great outdoor seating area. So it is a good asset to Palm Harbor -- it just feels like the owners don't pay much attention to it anymore... it just runs and makes them money. I guess that is okay. $2 sushi night is a great idea -- but can't quite bump it to 4 stars. Sorry.

Menu may be a bit pricey but the food is always great quality and tasty. Went to see the rocking Whiskey Throttle. Bands play in a mostly covered outside area with plenty of air circulation so you can enjoy great live tunage in a safe and secure enviorment.

A huge shout out to george our server, and the mangager alex( gosh I seriously hope I got the names correct). They bent over backwards to give my hubby a crableg surprise, I can't thank them enough. Great atmosphere, food was AMAZING! I had the blackened grouper, and the rest of the family had the American traditions. Don't pass this place up its delicious!

Good food, but while the service itself is adequate, they probably need more staff. Went for their Monday night all you can eat snow crabs, and they tasted great. Took a while to come out at first, but they kept on coming once we got the initial order. We sat outside, don't do that if you don't wanna breathe in smoke in a relatively enclosed outdoor area. Was very loud and crowded, but probably not without good reason seeing as the food was cheaper and tasty.

The hogfish dinner was a little dry, but we weren't sure if it was because it was blackened or not. The raw oysters were fresh.

Fantastic. Looks small and fancy but there is a huge back area that is covered and also has a nice covered bar. Has great happy hour, music, bartenders (thanks Eric!), pricing, and their wings smelled amazing. Live less than a mile away and cant wait to come back! Really good food, I got the lobster quesadillas and my girlfriend got the calamari. Staff was friendly, and the bill was cheaper than I would have expected for such great food. There is indoor/outdoor seating, and a stage set up outside (I'm assuming for live performances). Overall, a great place to go if you want really good food that won't break the bank.

Stopped In for lunch with a co worker who's a regular. He kept talking the place up. Normally things never live up to the hype. This place though definitely did. I got the grouper sandwich. Wow was it big and tastey. Went with the upgrade to onion rings and even they were some of the best I've had. My friend got the prime rib quesadilla. I kid you not that thing had an entire 20oz Prime rib on it. He only ate half and told me to take the other half home and try It later. I did and it was fantastic even reheated. I will be recommending this place to friends and going back soon.

This place is very popular, the food and service is good, they have a stage for live music, a mix of indoor and outdoor areas if you need somewhere quiet to chat, or you can go into the main area and get into the middle of the action. It is more restaurant than bar. Saw the most excellent Griz Trio there playing some great bluesy music, but not so loud that you couldn't converse.

My friends and I went to Thirsty Marlin on Sunday. We asked to be seated outside because of how nice the weather was. Our waiter Tyler was so professional and personable. I had the grouper Reuben, and it was fantastic. My martini was made perfectly, and our table inside was quiet enough to enjoy conversation while still having the chance to hear the live music outside. Plus, we had outstanding service from the nicest server ever, Kayla. She gave my parents, our family friend, and myself a fantastic evening, and she even joined in the fun when we wouldn't let our friend pay for dinner and when my parents said we should have matching hair tie scarves. I'm definitely asking for Kayla the next time I come in.

Also, different specials on different days of the week. If parking spots are taken in front of the restaurant, there are ample parking lots around and within half a block walking distance.

I wasn't expecting much so to be honest I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the all-you-can-eat shrimp to try out some of the different options they have. I decided to go with the blackened which was just as expected and the jerk seasoned which had a nice bite to it. My wife went with the fried grouper cheeks. She was pleasantly surprised at the nice proportion of batter to fish. It's the type of place my parents would enjoy. A casual beach vibe with alcohol and music.

I have been to pretty much all the upscale restaurants and local Hotspots but just recently made it to Thirsty Marlin and you know it's good when no matter what you got it was better than pretty much anywhere. Everyrime I tasted something I couldn't help but to take a mental note that it was better to me and my family anyway. So needless to say we are going to be regulars. Even as busy as it was there last night he did a great job of taking care of us. You got a good one there. Will definitely be back.

We stumbled upon the Thirsty Marlin because it was the only place that would accept my fur-baby and didn't have an hour wait time. We were all pleasantly surprised by how awesome everything was! Our friend ordered the run punch which was served in a bucket! :) We sat on the front patio which was nice, but before we left, I walked inside to look around (yes, I am a tourist from VA) and had no idea how large it was. The next time we are in town, we will definitely go back.

Food is good, however you never know who’s sitting at your bar or table. Lastnight I had to listen as the bartender “Derek” talked bad about my family. After about 5 minutes of letting him rant and dragging someone’s name through the dirt he said “I hope she dies next, she deserves it.” The best part is this girl is the daughter of mike flowers and his own employee was talking bad about her in HIS restaurant, aloud for the entire outside porch to hear. Will come back for dinner considering how close we live and how good the food is, but will gladly walk out if this individual is working.

This place has been here a long time food is good service ok. old Palm harbor has a few options so maybe try drinks and appetizers and see what you think . smoked fish spread is great . I don't eat a lot of hard core sushi but they have all kinds including California rolls and other non sushi sushi . and I see that they have Dailey specials.

I've been many times over the years and never left disappointed. Even on extremely busy nights, the food is fresh and tasty - definitely try the mahi mahi or grouper! The restaurant is laid out in a way that satisfies the desire for several kinds of venues - easy- going beach ambience (without the actual beach), cozy sit down restaurant, and outside bar for eating, socializing and enjoying the atmosphere.

Great food. Great service, except server didn't check and refill water glasses. Scallops are our favorite, but I had grouper topped with crabmeat, shrimp and scallops and, of course, hollandaise. Calamari appetizer also great.

We were at TM Friday night and had the Bubbling Shrimp, usually it is great but this night it was so salty we pushed it away but ate the shrimp anyway. Then as we sat there having drinks the bartender turned the AC down after our first bartender had turned it up as she was cold too. We said something to the bartender and she stated that she was comfortable! So with this in mind we finished our drinks and went to Peggy O's across the street. Disappointing dinner and evening.

Very casual!! Almost like a laid back Key West atmosphere. Food is great and service was excellent too. WE were seated immediately and our waitress was helpful the menu items . We will return !!

I come down to the Tampa area every year from Toronto for vacation. Four years ago I was introduced to the Thirsty Marlin and have made it an annual tradition ever since. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is perfect, and the service is always fast and courteous. I highly recommend the Thai Chicken Wrap with a draft on the side.

Wednesday night's the Thirsty Marlins "reservations are a must" night. Good food and good dancing music for the older crowd, even though some younger people seemed to be enjoying it as much as we did. Two thumbs up!

I got the all you can eat crab legs, they were slightly over cooked but still delicious and they reordered them at perfect timing everytime. The fries were really good too, i definitely recommend.

I was skeptical at first cause of the price but the portions were DUMMY BIG. Great service and everything tasted awesome from the sushi, to the scallops, to the fried green beans. I literally couldnt stop until i was in pain. I'll be sad to head back to Louisville after eating their food. 10/10
