I had the Southern Chicken Sandwich. Let’s just say that the cole slaw by itself was worth everything. It was full of flavor, robust, the right consistency. The sandwich definitely is delicious. Memorable. The fries were nice and hot, freshly made. Also, support local! Won’t regret it!

I first decided to eat the chocolate cake and it's the best vegan dessert you can get anywhere in Tampa! The texture was amazing almost like a fudge and even after you eat it the sweetness doesn't leave you sick but instead filled up. I also had the Cali Ranch Burger and everything from the sprouts to avocado was the right amount and the perfect texture and freshness! Super friendly place as well and can't wait to come again to try more things!

The food was absolutely delicious! And the owner was very sweet and helpful! I got the buffalo chicken sandwich, and tried the carrot cake cupcake and the veggie empanada. Every item was so good! I’m from out of town, but hope to be a returning customer!

My friend and I went here after apartment shopping and the service was amazing! I’m guessing she was the owner , she was extremely kind and friendly. She recommended items for us since it was our first time, the food came out quick and it tasted delicious! We both got the same thing and we will be coming back :)

I had the pleasure of eating from here while at a veg festival and I was so impressed! Prices were good and the food was super flavorful and filling. I got an empanada, a sea moss and coconut milk drink, and a cheesy chili cornbread dish with vegan sour cream. So happy to see more delicious vegan food come up here in Florida, especially small businesses. Excited to visit the actual location next time I’m in Tampa!

Absolutely delicious!!! I ordered off of Uber eats and the order I received had much more than planned - so I called the restaurant to let them know/ask just to make sure it was from them. They verified it was and that everything was pure vegan and to enjoy my order as well as apologizing for the mix up. I had the food and it was beyond superb! The spicy vegan chicken Sammy was the best one I’ve had yet! Order from them immediately! The vegan options are delicious and the service is superb. 10/10 recommend!

great food and service ! there's one person running the entire business which is pretty impressive first time getting food from here today and it was so good i almost questioned whether it was actually vegan or not ! the picture shows a bacon and cheese burger which is on their facebook menu, there's a little table by the food truck you can eat at after placing your order on the phone or online, she'll come down and give you your food

I have been going here about 1-2 times a week for a couple months to get the wings and I can firmly say they are the best wings I've ever had. The woman who runs this place is wonderful as well. She recently changed up the ranch recipe and while I thought the old ranch was good, this one is even better. Also, the prices for the wings are the cheapest vegan lunch I can get in Tampa. Really cannot say enough good things about this place!

I got the curry vegetable empanada and the vegan meat empanada and they were both sooooo good!!! I should have ordered two of each. Also the carrot cupcake was amazing, carrot cake has always been my favorite and it’s hard to find vegan, this one was top notch

This place blew me away. It’s been a long time that a vegan place has impressed me like this. I ordered the OG burger with cheese and bacon, Chicken sandwich and the chocolate cake. The burger… was… perfect. The cheese tasted house-made and the patty was seasoned so well. The owner was so patience and kind- answered my many questions and calls. Please do yourself a favor and call in an order. You won’t be disappointed 🤍

I am a true carnivore but they have me wanting to go vegan. My wife is vegan and we were visiting family in Tampa and ; she needed to eat. That spicy “chicken” sandwich was unreal. That by far was the best sandwich I ever tasted. The fries were hot and tasty, no ketchup needed. I was so happy she could not eat all of it; I finished it off for her. The young man I talked to gave me tips on using tofu and it was a pleasure talking with him. Customer was great and very friendly. Definitely gained two new customers when we come back to Tampa. Really wanted to support this black owned business. Was surprised and disappointed with the amount of food you get and the cost. $60 tab including drinks for two people and cake, we were still hungry. The lady (owner I assume) was real sweet though. Food was just mediocre. Cake was moist and satisfying, drinks were overpriced and the size of a Capri-sun but really good. Honestly there's better local spots that are a lot tastier with more food and a fraction of these prices.

For the price that every other vegan spot is charging for just the sandwich or burger alone....this meal came with a side of fries HALLELUJAH!!! I got the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and it was pretty dang on good it came with mayo, lettuce, onion pickles and tomato freshly cooked along with seasoned fries that were delicious as well. The service was great and friendly as well will definitely be back 👍🏼

The Lemon Pepper wings are our favorite! This last time they weren’t very saucy like they usually are but still yummy. We order from Twisted Vegan at least once a month and it’s always delicious. I love their chocolate cake too!

I ordered the mild wings! Super yummy and I love that they look like traditional chicken wings. Enjoyed that I could get the side of fries cooked in the air fryer (instead of deep fried). The woman that helped me was super friendly. *They’re on the 2nd story of the shopping center, so don’t miss them.

I’ve been vegan for quite a few years, and I’ll tell you this is by far the best vegan burger I’ve EVER had! Better than impossible, beyond, etc. The lemon pepper wings are great too, but the burger is the bread winner in my opinion. can’t go wrong, awesome fries too

I am not vegan, but came here with my sister who is. OMG!!!!!! The food is amazing. The service was amazing. James helped us and he was awesome. The burger! The burger! The burger!!!!!!!!!!! This was the BEST burger I ever had in my life. I literally thought is was beef. The texture, the taste, everything about this burger is amazing. We also shared vegan lemon pepper wings, chicken sandwich, empanadas, HOT FRESH fries with a delicious cucumber lemonade. 10 out 10 I do recommend. Definitely coming back tomorrow for another burger and lemonade.

Took one bite and had to take out my phone to write this review. I got the OG Chicken Sandwich and it is so fresh. It is everything I could ever want in a chicken sandwich just without the meat. I’m newly vegan and this place will be my go to. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

I stopped at The Twisted Vegan booth at Veg Fest and got the wings, mac n cheeze and veggie option. It was sooo good. My daughter had a few bites of my meal, and then decided to get one of her own. The price was great, the food was delicious, and it was filling. Plus, the folks there were friendly to boot. I will definitely go here again.

The lemon pepper wings are where it's at and why we keep coming back! Might need to try the burger and chicken sandwiches from what I see in other reviews. Fries were not salty, but i dont mind because some people cant do salt so i just added some at home, no big deal. The owner Shay is very cool, hardworking and is managing the whole business herself, give her some credit! If you have never run a small business, you have no idea what its like to be under that stress while trying to please everyone and turn a profit to pay the rent for your commercial kitchen. We think she's doing a fantastic job and appreciate her sense of urgency and pride in her work. The carrot cake cupcake is good in my opinion. Its big and well iced. The first time I had it I was blown away, but this time the icing was a little too sweet for me. Next time I'll go for the chocolate cupcake that Im dying to try. The carrot cake was still tasty and my boyfriend and I shared it and decided if you swirl it around in your mouth it balances out nicely! The fact that it's nut-free is great for my BFF who's allergic to nuts and she loves the sweeter icing! All around, her food is good and I fed 2 people for less than 30 bucks. That's a great deal. Good, friendly service and good hot vegan food from a hardworking woman owned business... yes please! We will be back again and again!! Keep up the good work Twisted Vegan!

Where do I start!!! I'm on a 21 day plant based fast. I'm so glad Google showed me this spot!! I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. Omg!!!! It was delicious! The right amount of spicy. The chicken was flavorful. The fries were delicious! I didn't even need ketchup!! If I could get vegan food like this, I would be vegan forever. Kudos to the owners!!!!

I’m not going to rate anything less than 5 stars this time because I know mistakes happen but the quality is slowly declining. I ordered the Dirty South Chicken Sandwich only to get home to no cold slaw and semi-warm fries. This is the second time the fries were not fresh. I was seriously disappointed because I know the food is usually good and I tipped a bad order.

Stopped by with my wife for the first time today. Got the OG Not So Chicken for her and the mushroom swiss burger for me, both with fries and drinks, a fruit punch for me (forgot the name) and a cucumber lemonade (sooooooo good) for her. I will say that this is probably the MOST well seasoned vegan I have ever had in my life and the drinks were on point, KUDOS!!!! We also got an empanada snuck in there, thank y'all, also very tasty. Everything was hot and fresh also! The reason for the 4 stars, chicken is probably best immediately after the hand off, that's just a thing with vegan chicken patties we've noticed as they cool, no shade. The burger had a LOT of mayo on it, that's the worst of it. With that being said, we'll be back and we hope to see you expand one day!

Here in Tampa on business,My first time checking out the twisted vegan order the vegan burger with all the fixings etc, talked with the sista that owed the place very helpful answered all my questions was very professional (key thing) and was patient, I must say since I’ve been working here in Tampa I’ve been to a few spots and so far this one tops the them all, and I love supporting businesses. When I’m in Tampa this will be my new go to spot, if you’re ever in the Tampa area check the sista out trust me you won’t be disappointed big up twisted vegan!!! ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿

1 they only do takeout, and it's a business complex on the 2nd floor 2 you can't go in to order, gotta do it online or on the phone 3 the lemon pepper wings are delicious! Fries are crispy and well seasoned too. 4 the dirty south chikn burger was rather bland, and no where close to what the photos looked like it looked like a dollar menu burger. Pretty upset with that for the price.

WOW! I loved this meal. I got the basic og burger which came with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw is the best I have ever had. Meal size was generous. "Ranch" dressing could be called "twisted sauce" as it didn't taste ranchy. It is unique. Workspace is sketchy/bizarre and made me apprehensive but I couldn't ignore the reviews. Owner is inspiring. 4 star on service due to disposables. I recommend...ditch the plastic bags, Styrofoam and plastic ware. Ditch the extra condiments in plastic. Sell reusable forks or encourage people to own a mess kit. VEGAN and eco conscious life goes beyond the meal itself. Try a multi grain bun. See you soon.

Zaxby's chicken sandwich but vegan!! I'm actually in love & excited to order again! Hubby & I got OG chicken sandwich and OG Buffalo chicken Sandwich & Black pepper lemon wings with a yummy juice! 11/10 this is a hidden Gem that needs to blow up! They are on the send level, 2nd to last studio!! Thank you for making the food with love!!

Omg! This take out only restaurant serves the best vegan burgers I’ve ever tasted! Normally I don’t enjoy black bean burgers but the texture of the Twisted cheese burger is just like Impossible or Beyond meat burgers and even better because the twisted cheese burger doesn’t have that slight after taste that has to hide behind onions as would the impossible or beyond meat patties. Can’t wait to return to try their vegan chicken and their deserts. Btw, one taste of their small coleslaw will show you their attention to detail. Wow! Ps: someone should convince them to put a larger sign out front. Had a little trouble locating them (2nd floor of chamberlain square bldg.)

I went in with no expectation and became enlighten. The wings had a great taste and texture. I had an opportunity to try the empanadas, chicken sandwich which will be my go to and the sea moss drink was amazing. The service, and flavor profile fit really well. I didn't feel like I needed to say that it was vegan food. It was just good food that happened to be vegan. I will definitely be returning.

This was my first time here and it was fantastic. I had a mushroom, onion and Swiss burger. The patty was seriously the best I've ever tasted. The lemon pepper wings were good, a bit strong for my taste but the ranch was on point and helped tamp it down just the right amount. The sugar cane bones are a great touch and make them look just like chicken wings. The drinks are fantastic too. I had the Cucumber lemonade and tried my GFs fruit punch. Both were super flavorful and refreshing. I'm certain I will be back many times in the future.

This is the new spot for vegan! Not only are the hours better for anyone who doesn't get off work prior to 5, the food is flavorful. There is no skimping on the toppings and the food is colorful and some of the best I've had. Many places have tried to create a spicy buffalo chicken sandwich but not like what I found here. A crisp crunch, generous sauce, pickles, and great texture. I will be coming here again. The pickup process was easy and the menu online has accurate photos of what to expect. The packaging was nicely done and overall the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the food. I'm so obsessed! Worth a drive if you are from out of town.

Whether you’re a vegan or not, I’d recommend this place to anyone who likes food and likes to support a small business. I ordered the BBQ wings and the Not chicken sandwich. My order was made quickly even though there were a few orders ahead of mine. First time having vegan wings and I was not disappointed. Not only was the food beyond good, the service was also great. The owner runs the whole show and she does a great job at it.

This is my second visit just like the first time the food was amazing. My favorite of the first visit was the Cole slaw it was off the chain, l got the chicken sandwich can't say enough about it but the cole slaw worked for me. It is always great when traveling to each cities definitely when is time to eat…well I found a vegan restaurant and I’m was not a 100% vegan until I found The Twisted Vegan highly recommended . Wow! Blown away. Highly recommend. Everything was incredible. Okay first off, the customer service is spot on! This woman has passion and love serving vegan food to others. Really shows a lot of heart. Second, I ordered the Cali-ranch burger, vegan meat empanada and the wings/fries. The food is amazing. Not one thing I don’t like!! First time here too!! Third, con is the pricing from the menu to charge on the card. Wings plus fries are $7 on menu and charged $9. Which is okay, I feel it’s worth it. But just a little hiccup in the menu pricing. I MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND checking his place out!! Love it!!

There's no dine-in option, not wheelchair accessible, and the menu (at the time of posting this) is a QR code that leads to a broken Facebook link. We had to stand out front, call in on one phone, and look at the menu off of Uber Eats on another phone to place our order. It took about 45 mins from when we ordered it to when it was ready. Besides that though the food was wonderful and the price was great. Definitely going back but I'm going to just order delivery next time.

This restaurant popped up in my Uber Eats while at work last night. I am always looking to try new vegan spots so I ordered their mushroom burger. I took two bites and called the restaurant to make sure all the ingredients were vegan. That was the best vegan burger I have ever had. Every bite was tasty and the flavors blended together so nice. I will be going back to the restaurant to try some of their other dishes. This might definitely be my new spot.

This is by far my favorite vegan spot in the Tampa area . They have the most amazing wings . The BBQ sauce is dank , the hot wings are a must and by far my favorite thing on the menu is the lemon pepper wings . This is a black and family owned business so not only do you get fire food but sole good karma too booth. the person who runs it is an amazing mom and cook.....

wowowowowow. I've been vegan for 4.5 years and pride myself a great cook. I cannot make vegan chicken sandwiches like this. They're amazing. the breading is less texture than I was hoping for from the photos, but that's to be expected at any food service. I had the OG chicken sandwich, and my roommate had the buffalo chicken sandwich, and we shared the buffalo hot wings. All of these items were phenomenal. the wings are made of jackfruit to give them a real wing texture even with a little "bone" in the center to simulate a real wing. The chicken sandwiches I believe are made from soy protein which I believe was the best choice for this dish, but really the seasoning and breading is what makes them stand out from the rest of vegan restaurants and commercial products out there. Eating here really felt like "food mom used to make" and I recommend it to vegan and non-vegan folk alike

I’m always on the hunt for vegan spots and Twisted Vegan didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed the mushroom burger. It gave me a small panic because it tasted so good I wonder if it was truly vegan. Oh and the cakes chocolate and carrot were legit one one the best I’ve tasted from locally spots ( IYKYK). They were beyond most.

Let me just say that 1. I’m not vegan…AT ALL and 2. I never leave reviews but I HAVE to tell people about this place. The OG Buffalo Chicken Sandwich? Amazing. If I didn’t know it was vegan beforehand, it would’ve fooled me. Fries? Perfectly cooked & salted. And don’t get me started on the carrot cake cupcake…… like a child…no crumb was left behind. I’m now contemplating on going vegan entirely bc of how good this food was. I’ll be a very frequent & returning customer for sure!

Food was great. Love that she has different flavors for her chicken wings we had the lemon pepper and og mild. Husband, loved the og twisted bacon and cheese burger. Her carrot cake was devine. This is the spot to be. She is practically the only place to find vegan options in this area after the hours of 7pm. She obviously has love for the late night vegans. I believe her hours is from 10 or 11pm. Will go back. Oh I almost forgot her home made juices are great I had the Caribbean fruit punch made from sorrel. It's Tuesday and I am craving this food. Can't wait to visit again! Did not take any pictures as I was hungry.

I found this place accidentally and I’m so glad that I did. I just got the regular OG twisted burger and omg. It was soooooo good. This is one of the best burgers that I’ve ever had in general. Not vegan or vegetarian burgers, just burgers. I would’nt have been able to tell the difference to a regular burger. It just tasted like an amazingly seasoned beef burger. Highly recommended I would 100% come here again.
