Love the atmosphere. Clean and a relaxing vibe. Service was excellent. Food fresh and flavorful. The soup had a terrific flavor profile and was well balanced. The rolls were stuffed nicely and made for a good appetizer. The Curry and Pad Thai also both came out fresh and flavorful. All the food exhibited the flavors and textures you expect from the selections. When in downtown Tampa desiring a taste of Asian food, this is a choice you can have on your short list.

Clean and busy for lunch on a Friday but seated immediately. Nice atmosphere. Crab Rangoon were cold inside but fried, made for an odd combination. Ordered the Garlic & Black Pepper beef. It was okay. Not really spicy and topped with A LOT of garlic which overwhelmed the dish. Rice tasted sticky and not really fresh but appreciated the presentation. Not the best. Not the worst. If you’re about the look and ambience great, if you seek flavor and heat seek elsewhere.

A dimly lit but beautiful place. Teamed within Asian/Thai influence. On site personnel are courteous and kind. Spring rolls could be a little bit less dry, But the soup was awesome. Both the main dishes were good in terms of portion size as well as taste. No parking on site but is available on the street. A beautiful atmosphere. Prices are well worth it. Highly recommended.

I took the "pad drunken noodle with tofu" and a large sake. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, in the heart of Tampa. The food was served quickly and delicious; very flavorful,. The portions were adequate; and perfectly balanced between spicy and tasty. We had an absolutely great time and good service there. Will definitely come back!

I went there tonight for the first time, and had the best curry I've ever eaten. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, the waitstaff couldn't have been nicer, the decor was beautiful, and it's in a great location (right next to the historic Tampa Theatre). I'll definitely be back every time I'm in the area! [Pictured is the Panang Curry with tofu--delicious!]

Cozy, opulent interior, excellent service and lots of tasty vegan options. There is a small outside seating area that appears to be dog-friendly. Highly recommended for upscale Thai food that is reasonably priced.

Came to Tampa a day early prior to our cruise. Was looking for a different place for dinner. Came upon Si-am a few blocks from hotel. Excellent service and even better food. The Tom Yum soup was fabulous as was to spicy duck dish.

I ordered takeout Crab Rangoon and a Beef fried rice for dinner. The service was fast and friendly from the phone call to pickup which only took about 10 minutes. The ambiance in the restaurant was very nice, it also appeared to be clean and well kept. Unfortunately the food could have been better. The Crab Rangoons were yellow inside almost like scrambled eggs; The flavor wasn’t bad but they were a bit odd and not traditional. The Beef fried rice I give a 2 out of 5 basically because the rice was gooey and not not fresh. The steak honestly tasted like the Wok may have been burned or scorched. I wouldn’t mind going back to give them a second try since this was only my first time.

Sizzling Duck Panang Curry Staff is extremely polite but the food even outweighs that! Very clean tasting, vegetables still crunchy and very fresh! Lunch is very busy so we came for an early dinner and it was worth it 100 times over!

Wow! Just…wow! Honestly I should stop here with my review but I’ll keep going to do this place justice. Came here on a whim with friends on a Thursday night. First, let me be clear, while the drink menu is average, the food MORE than made up for it and was amazing! I’ve had a lot of mediocre Thai food in the US but this place is on a whole other level type of good! Extremely flavorful and fulfilling! Well prepared with fresh and quality ingredients. Our table had the following appetizers: Si-am Sampler, Tom Kha (DELICIOUS!! Coconut-lemon grass-veggies-mushrooms!), Tom Yum, Chicken Rice Soup. Then for entrees we had spicy green curry, pad see-ew, basil friend rice (refreshing!), shrimp & scallop basil, pad thai noodles, and lastly grilled red pork plate. The flavors danced on all of our tongues. You will enjoy it. You will be back. You heard what I said. Wow!

This is a fantastic Thai food restaurant that we discovered on a Monday evening. There were four of us and we started with fried veggie spring rolls and crab rangoon. Both came out quickly and were perfectly fried and had excellent taste. Then the main entrees came and were equally as tasty. I tried the standard Pad Thai with shrimp and broccoli added in. The flavor was very traditional to what I had back in Thailand in the early 2000s. It was easily one of the best Pad Thai plates I've ever had. My partner had cashew veggie stir fry with shrimp and rice. It was her second time at a Thai restaurant, and she loved it. Taste and heat were spot on. This is also a gorgeous restaurant with beautiful appointment and decorations, making the complete dining experience a real pleasure. My only regret is that I don't live in the area to be able to dine here more often! Sawatdii Kraap!

It has been too long since I've been to a comparable Thai restaurant. The decor is fine enough for a special occasion or group dinner designed to impress. The sake was EXCELLENT (with a wide selection), and the food? Oh, my goodness! I'm only disappointed that I couldn't eat more! This was my first time here, but I'll be coming back again and again to feed my Thai addiction. And, if you're lucky enough to meet the owner, he is a great guy, too. Highly recommended!

Love this place! Second time around the center of Tampa where we decided to, again, go to Si-Am since we loved the food there the last time and the decor is absolutely captivating! We had two AMAZING soups and shared a very tasteful Pan Thai. Thank you for an amazing meal guys! Will be back soon....

This Restaurant has to be one of the best Thai mixed restaurants we have had the pleasure dinning in. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We ordered many dishes knowing we were going to take alot to our hotel for late night snacking . A gem like this we are going to make a regular stop when we are in Tampa .

We found Si-am on via a "near me" search. The pictures of the restaurant, the menu, and the reviews were enough for us to give them a try. After dining there we can easily say "we will be back!. The ambiance was warm. The staff was very friendly and efficient. It wasn't too busy at the time. The food was excellent. My wife and son had the Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. I had the beef curry dish (4 star hot). We were all very pleased. We followed or meal with Thai donuts and some delicious mango ice cream. All together a great experience!

I really enjoyed eating here, it felt like an authentic place. I was also happy that they had a gluten-free menu (they also have vegan but I don't need that). Overall everything was great. I would, and have recommended this place to others.

I am writing this in response to the review by Vanessa Borges criticizing owner Stephen. In the years I lived in Tampa this restaurant was my favorite. This was in no small part due to Stephen, who is a third- generation restaurateur, and it shows. He works hard and his wife works hard. They deserve their success. Highly recommended.

I had the Panang Curry, seen below. It was very slightly spicy and tasted good, like coconut milk. Could’ve done with more colorful vegetables but still good. Dad had the Basil Shrimp Fried Rice and it tasted good. He loved it. A little too oily for me, but good. The Thai style chicken fried rice (or something forget what it’s called) is not my fave, I prefer the Basil Fried Rice. The Pad Thai is way too sweet.

Excellent dining experience, perfect afternoon outing in Downtown. Located just a couple blocks from the river walk, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I had the chef special fish and salad. Thai Iced team and a Singha!

Absolutely amazing food and service!! We went as a group and they served us the most delicious appetizers. The main course was several different plates of drunken noodles, fish, chicken fried rice, and more. The dessert was a egg banana mix, fried, with a raspberry topping, and coconut ice cream! Thai food was good and you can choose your own spice level which I liked! The dishes weren’t the cleanest, glass cups were spotty and utensils were sticky so I didn’t appreciate that part but aesthetically pleasing.

Very enjoyable. I got the Tofu and it was really firm and had a great texture. I tried it with the Amazing Peanut sauce. Very tasty. Friend got the Pad Kee Mow and he said it was great. Most meals come with a soup and spring roll.

I get take out from here at least twice a week. Great food but extremely small portions. I have even started getting extra vegetables added to my meal because the portion size is too small. Adding the extra vegetables makes no difference. I hate that I'm spending $10-$12 on a meal for something that isn't enough to fill up an adult. I LOVE the food so I would highly suggest going here because it seems the dine in portions are larger.

the food was AMAZING! I went there with my new boss and the service was quick and easy and since I'm a vegetarian they substituted the meat with extra veggies. We got there before lunch was served so make sure you do so because the lunch crowd was out the door. If you like really spicy I suggest ordering the hot. I got the medium and I definitely could have gone for more fire!

This is a must try!!!! We went as a party of six. All dishes were flavorful and delicious. One of our party said the Tom Ka soup was the best she has ever had. Not only was the flavors on point but cooked great as well. My shrimp could not have been cooked more perfectly! Staff was attentive but not hovering. Great experience!

Oh my goodness, this place is amazing! We got crispy duck with green curry plus spring rolls and krab rangoon. Everything about it was great, there was just enough spice and the flavors were perfect. The eggplant, green beans, and bamboo shoots all tasted so good together.

This place is on point! I’ve ordered five or six times in the past few weeks on Ubereats. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious. I’m addicted to their fried rice with duck. I usually get that with fried spring rolls and one of their soups. Today I tried the Si-am sampler and it was equally yummy. Their food is pretty quick and always fresh. I also like their attention to detail went bagging the orders to make sure everything is in there and they also package items for delivery drivers so that nothing can be tampered with. I will continue to be a loyal customer!

Great food, great service! The pineapple fried rice, Thai chili fish, and the curry krab rangoons are our go to's. Take out is seamless and quick and they inform you when the order is ready so you don't have to guess!

I ordered through the restaurants online pickup website tonight and had a small problem with my order when I picked it up. The manager went above and beyond to rectify the issue. The restaurant was slammed when I picked up my order, but everyone was hustling to provide top notch service. It’s easy to make mistakes when busy, so I wasn’t that frustrated. It was just great to see that this business is willing to go above and beyond to make things right when mistakes do happen. Their food is also fantastic, so we will definitely continue making this our top choice for Thai :).

8:32 Saturday night we walked in. They close at 9pm. They didn’t want to seat us because last seating is 8:30. I refused to be told no and said your hours show you’re open and I just paid to park. Food is absolutely amazing,but service is very much non existent.After we ordered our drinks and food the waitress never came back once to check in on us. We had appetizers as well and when the main course came out,the empty dishes of the appetizers were just left in the table. There was no refills on the water and we had to flag down a server to order a second round of drinks. My order iod dessert was completely forgotten so they only brought my husband's out who had ordered his dessert a few minutes after I had ordered mine,yet nobody knew about my order. As previously stated the food is great too bad the service isn't matching!

Was there earlier with my husband. This restaurant was phenomenal with excellent service. We ordered the panang curry and green curry for lunch as our entree and it came with complimentary soup and egg roll also had the fried tofu. All were delicious. If you're looking for great authentic thai food with a beautiful ambiance this is a must try.

Si-am is a very good Thai restaurant in downtown Tampa. I have never had a negative experience or a bad meal. Today I the Chicken Cashew Stir Fry, a decent sized serving of chicken, veggies, cashews in a delicious sauce served alongside a half cup or so of fluffy white rice in the shape of a heart. Plate presence is excellent. The meal comes with a spring roll and rice soup. The service is friendly and pretty quick, even during a downtown lunchtime. Only complaints regarded temperature. The soup was slightly less than lukewarm, and the restaurant itself was freezing. I shivered may way through and was happy to get outside to thaw out. Great lunch... but bring a jacket.

Excellent service and the food was FANTASTIC. We had a party of ten walk in and they adapted perfectly to our needs. The Pad Thai chicken is among my favorites. A little hotter than average, so be aware. I love spicy food and the medium was on the heavier side of perfect for me. On the other hand, my father-in-law got the hot and loved it. Heat is annoyingly subjective, I suppose. Anyway, it was a fantastic experience.

Half the portion size but twice the price. The food was good but just not what I expected with the high cost. I was very disappointed in the portion size. And the Crab Fried rice is not nearly as good as at otther Thai Restaurant in the Tampa area, no lump pieces of real crab meat, I was extremely disappointed. I would say, give them a try but try some of the other Thai restaurants locally as well.

The food here is SO good!! First discovered it four years ago on a layover and it has become a required stop every time my husband and I are in the Tampa area. HIGHLY recommend!! Every dish we’ve tried has been delicious, and mango sticky rice is a new fave after trying it here!

Great food, came out quickly, bottled sake was served at the table on ice, and refilled promptly. Service was very accommodating and attentive. Excellent place for a date night, great vegan options, the mango sticky rice dessert was an excellent light finale to the spicy and hearty meal.

We ate lunch and on this occasion it happened to be extremely crowded, despite this we were seated quickly. I ordered the chicken pad Thai, Thai hot.The entree q came with a mini egg roll and broth soup. Both were tasty but served lukewarm . My entree was a adequate lunch portion and had good flavor but could have had larger pieces of chicken, they were for the most part grounded chicken. Good flavor though. Service was quick, friendly courteous and professional all at a reasonable price and nice ambiance.

We eat here usually once a week or so and the food is always good. I didn't think I liked Thai food until my co-workers convinced me to eat here. I usually get the pepper steak or the garlic pepper stir fry with no spice. Both have a really nice flavor. I also really like their chicken fried rice. Their entrees come with a chicken and rice soup and a mini spring roll. I've also ordered the crab Rangoon and hate when I have to share it! If you're going at lunch, get there early, because they tend to get very busy around noon. The servers are nice and do a good job.

Great Thai spot tucked away next to the Tampa theatre. Inside is really nice, great decor. They had a lot to offer on the menu. I ordered the crispy duck. For you all that love heat, they have different levels of heat, all the way to Thai hot. I'm not big on heat so I got mine mild. The duck came out sizzling and the armoa was heavenly. It tasted just as good. Will definitely be back!

I eat here at least once a week for lunch, and have done so for several years. You know it must be good if the monks are eating here. Great food, excellent service! If I was to say anything critical, it would be that their prices have gone up recently, but it seems like everyone downtown is raising prices for their lunch menus. That and the spicing isn't consistent. One day "medium" will be "meh" and the next time it will be hot. That being said, they do a great job and the food is always excellent. I highly recommend!

Best fusion Thai in Tampa. Their duck is always flavorful and crispy. They have a crab fried rice that is to die for and their Thai tea is worth every penny. The decor is so very serene and the staff has great input for new folx. All in all, great restaurant!

We love going to see the owner Steve! His food is amazing yet his service is over the top excellent! It is the perfect place to go before going to the Historic Tampa Theater. On our last visit, he sat down with us to tell us about the history of Tampa. That purple drink is his creation of Butterfly Tea which is AMAZING!

This review is long overdue, as I've been going to lunch at Si-am for years, almost every week. The food is great, the staff is very nice, and they're usually pretty quick during lunch. My favorites are the chicken massaman curry, chicken fried rice, steamed dumplings, and crab rangoon.

Pricing is similar or slightly higher then others but proportionally smaller dish is a definite disappointment. Friendly staff, tasty Thai food. Pretty good menu though I wish I could have gotten papaya salad. One thing - the seat backs in the booths are quite loose. My friend moves as he talks and suddenly we found ourselves bouncing around because a man in the booth behind us was upset with the slight movement and decided to push back repeatedly/dramatically. Had he acted like an adult it probably would have been a non-issue.

I read the reviews before going here because it's been several years since I've eaten here and I couldn't remember what the food taste like. I ordered the dinner Panang chicken entree and paid $10.95 for 1cup of white rice and about 2/3cup of the panang chicken. Which to me seemed really small. Before I ordered I asked if the dinner comes with an egg or spring roll and was told no. So I ordered 1 portion of the chicken rolls (which weren't good)and got 3 for $4.95. So for 17.95 I got rice, chicken and 3 rolls. The panang chicken was good but not the very best I've ever had. The best thai food I have ever had was in Orlando and you get 4 rolls, salad and an entre for $14 dollars and the portions are very big. The restaurant itself was clean, the people were nice and the food came out very hot and fast.

We just arrived in Tampa and had a hankering for Thai cuisine. Si-am was close to our hotel so we decide to check it out. They have a great assortment of beers (Singha, Kirin, and some specialty local brew). I had the red that was very tasty. We started with fried calamari, and spring rolls (both veggie and chicken). These were all basic. The calamari was underwhelming - only the rings and battered in a way that made them look like onion rings. My favorite calamari are the little squid like calamari and there were none to be found sadly. I ordered the Massaman Curry and the Drunken Noodles. They gave us an option of heat; light, medium, hot and Thai hot. We picked light noodles and medium Curry. The Curry definitely had a kick that I appreciated but I don't think I'd want to experience Thai hot hah I might not make it through. I tried the Thai Iced Tea that was incredibly tasty but it generally always is (I'm a huge fan). The server was very attentive and while he took the time to split our bills without asking he did jumble up some items on wrong checks so we venmo-ed each other which was odd. Overall, if you want solid Thai cuisine, I recommend Si-am.

The food was superb. The service was very disappointing- we stopped for dinner before a show with some out of town friends and everything was extremely slow. Our food was plopped down on the table by an apparently impatient and rushed “food runner” an four friend had to stand up to grab silverware from another table since our table had none. We only saw our waitress when we finally had to flag her down to get the check and our friend never got his beverage. When he addressed that with her, and he said he didn’t want it anymore because we were leaving for a pressing curtain time - she asked if he wanted the beverage off the check ???? 🤷‍♂️ 😂 the question was so absurd we just laughed it out. Hope to try again and give them another chance to step up the service to meet, at the very least, basic restaurant service expectations and this give the the full five star review to match their food.

Great Thai food . You can usually go here when any event is downtown and they can get you in and out quick. Everything is very good and the service is amazing . Pad-thai PAD-Se-ew Pineapple Fried rice and all the curry dishes are made perfect.

Came for dinner with my mother and sister, BEST Pad Thai and Red Curry I’ve had in my entire LIFE!!! Absolutely recommend to anyone craving thai in the area, delicious food with great service and a beautiful, cozy ambiance.

this place is amazing! i brought my girlfriend here for valentine’s day and we both loved it. we started with the chicken satay, it was AMAZING. so well seasoned and both of the dipping sauces were great. i got the massaman curry and she got the green curry, both were absolutely delicious. for desert we got the mango sticky rice and wow, it has to be a new favorite thing of mine. decorations inside were really great and our server was very kind!! it’s a little pricy for my college student budget, but i’d say it’s well worth it!!
