Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Ybor City, Tampa. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best seafood meal we had while in Tampa. Highly recommend!

Let's get Into it.... First the onion rings ....super delish! Second the clam basket...father in heaven, I could hurt myself eating this (I didn't though). They class, fries and that pink sauce it is so fantastically amazing. The spicy shrimp slaw I could just sit and eat continuously. My husband had the Florida Steam pot and I was all up in his plate too!!! 😂😂😂 The atmosphere is quaint and the staff is wonderful! This a good chill date night spot!

This is some real good eatin' The fried shrimp are delicious, but the fried oysters are over the top good. It was so good I had to order an extra to go fried oyster combo. Poboy bread could be a bit better considering all the Cuban bread in the area, but the bread they use is more than adequate for a poboy Boiled shrimp had good flavor, but nothing too special with these. They weren't overcooked which seems to happen fairly often, so that's a plus Also, the fries are like extra battered/crispy...real good Beer is nice and cold too Good service. I would be at this spot all the time if I lived nearby

A gem of a place that’s great for a quick lunch(under 30 min visit). The food arrived quickly and on point! Our table mostly ordered either the shrimp or oyster po boy sandwiches. Decent price and delicious! The best part? The waitress was super nice and attentive! Most definitely a repeat for lunch when I’m in the area again.

A great place for casual seafood in Ybor City. Choose from a variety of shrimp dishes, steam pots, platters and po'boys. Nice selection of appetizers as well. The seafood was fresh and tasted great.

Had a late lunch here today. The food was very fresh and hot when they brought it out. Had great flavor. My husband had the fried shrimp and they were delicious. I had the fried tilapia basket it was also very good. Highly recommend

Great selection of Caribbean-inspired seafood dishes and Gulf Coast favorites. Quirky decor and friendly staff. The place was fairly crowded on a Saturday evening, but we got a table right away. Waitstaff seemed a little overwhelmed at times but everything worked out.

Went here for lunch and got the soft shell crab sandwich. It was absolutely phenomenal. It came with fries and a small cup of shrimp slaw. Next time I’m in the area I’m definitely making another stop at this place.

We wanted some fresh grilled fish, close by, without spending a ton. The reviews were solid, and it was right over in Ybor, so we gave it a go. What it lacks is ambiance it has in service, and the food was very good. I had the blackened Mahi, and it was fresh, moist, and flavorful, and cooked well. My wife had the fried oyster basket with potatoes and hush puppies and some (too)spicy cole slaw She said the oysters were moist and delicious, the best she's had in a while. A small selection of beer yielded a couple Modelo dark in the bottle with a frosted mug. The staff was friendly and attentive, overall a nice experience, and we were out of there for just $65. If great seafood at a good price is what you want then I couldn't recommend this place more!

The food, atmosphere and our waiter were great! We received our appetizers (the seafood combo - grouper bites, shredded arinetas, fried cheese cubes and shrimp empanadas) within 5 minutes of ordering. The main course 15 minutes, maybe less. Omg the food was fresh and delishhhhhhh. I had the shrimp monfongo, the hubs had shrimp and grouper with fries. Our waiter was attentive, informative and friendly. Great lunch experience!

Went out with a girlfriend to this establishment. Their seafood is fresh and the quality plus quantity is worth the experience. It wasn't busy the time that we went and I still had enough for takeout.

Wasn't sure at first how the food would be upon first glance. The place is small. No bar. No hostess. No frill place. The oysters I had were best fried oysters I ever had. So tender and Juicy. My husband said his Mahi was cooked perfectly. If you like spicy then you probably will like the spicy shrimp Cole slaw.

That was delicious! Cute little restaurant. Love the decor. The food was really good. If you are in town def a must. Our food was out so fast we couldn't believe it. We had the shrimp po boy and the catfish basket. Everything came with a very tasty dipping sauce. The spicy slaw was very different and very good! Fried green tomatoes were to die for!!!!

Food was great as always. We’ve been coming for quite some time now. There isn’t a thing on the menu that I haven’t enjoyed completely. The spicy coleslaw is epic . It’s got little baby shrimps in it and tastes awesome . From the soft shell crab to the lobster po boys you can’t go wrong. The staff is always very nice and helpful and the place has a great laid back feel to it.

Went to Shrimp & Co. for the first time yesterday. We had scampi and Snow Crab Feast and they did not disappoint at all! In fact, I had to ask for additional rice because it was so good! I know this place is way out of mainstream 7th Ave, but I hope that people will deliberately seek it out. I will definitely be back!

Late lunch after a marathon shopping trip to IKEA in Ybor. A stone's throw from the Columbia Restaurant, we had the place to ourselves. Small but homey with kind of a seafood shanty feel. Sadly, it smelled of cigarette smoke. We ordered a shrimp basket, a shrimp platter and a shrimp Po boy. The PO boy roll was soft and fresh. Shrimp were smaller but fried in a light crispy batter. A pile of hot and crispy fries and a small container of Cole slaw. The basket and platter had red potatoes and hush puppies. The shrimp were delicious but wishing there were more. The young lady server was prompt and attentive.

Stopped on a whim. My wife is not a seafood fan, but she got the chicken platter. It was very good. Lightly battered and not overcooked, and good sized portion. I got the shrimp po' boy. Very good sandwich! The cole slaw was absolutely awesome!! All in all, a great lunch at a new place!

Small place. Food was OK, nothing spectacular. Our waitress kept going back to the kitchen to ask the cook/chef questions and asking if she should charge us $1 extra for dipping sauce.....I'm guessing that she failed to realize the diners in the dining room can hear everything as the wall doesn't go to the ceiling to stop sounds carrying. She was so worried about trying to upcharge that she didn't bring some of the items ordered. Maybe it was just a bad day? There were only 3 other tables filled during our visit.

This place was an absolute joy. The shrimp empanadas were fresh and cooked excellent. Mahi was grilled to perfection and shrimp poboy was great. Upon our second time visiting the quality of the food remains the same!

I used the website to order free delivery and it came faster than expected. In fact it was delivered and outside for about 7mins but still piping hot & delicious. Linguine, chicken blues and a cheeseburger. I’ve eaten at the restaurant many times and ordered through other food delivery services but it was so much cheaper and faster to order directly from them.

We stumbled here by accident because the wait at Columbia was too long. We were greeted by a nice server who sat us down immediately. She took our order and the food came out right away. It was all so delicious! We especially loved the cheese bites and the aranitas. We can’t wait to go back!

Very nice place to eat. The service is great at this place! Very good food love the spicyness they add. The slaw was surprising it had these mini shrimp which was cool. The sauce that comes with it is soooooo good! The crab legs were great. The shrimp poboy was good as well I'll ask to toast the bun the next time though. The burger was not very good the meat. But why order a burger at a shrimp place right? Lol. Definitely recommend this place.

Delightful local seafood restaurant with simple, but nice menu and friendly staff. Service was fast, food was fresh, well prepared, and tasty. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Parking is somewhat challenging, but not the fault of the business.

Okay, the Google pictures were enough to make me curious. When I arrived, I must say the atmosphere was somewhat underwhelming. However, the food and service exceeded expectations. I got the peel & eat shrimp 🍤. It is fresh shrimp with the head on. The shrimp is served in a delicious garlic butter. Not over cooked, and definitely not previously frozen. I also ordered the fried green tomatoes, they were also delicious. My mother in law got the blackened tilapia. It looked and smelled great. Served with vegetables and garlic bread. It was a sizeable portion. She enjoyed her meal. My wife got the shrimp stuffedofongo. We have never heard of this dish. This green plantains based dish was delicious. Also, our waitress Busee was attentive and a delight 😊. She made sure our glasses were full, and checked on us multiple time during our visit. Our order was correct and complete. We traveled from Ft. Myers for a day at the aquarium. Being new-ish to Florida we don't know Tampa that well, but I think we have found a spot that we really like and will come to regularly when we visit Tampa. The parking lot behind would have cost $30-ish 😒. But the street parking was more reasonable as it was pay by the hour. Parking could potentially be a pain in the a$$, but if you can square with that, this is definitely a must do and worth a reasonable amount of hassle.

This was an unbelievably great spot. The waitress Tonya was amazing and friendly and extremely efficient. I had the rock shrimp appetizer and oh my God it was some of the best I’ve ever had. You must try the garlic butter sauce. The seafood is extraordinarily fresh because it comes right from the Port of Tampa daily. The prices are phenomenal as well and you can get meals as low 13 bucks. I had catfish as my main entrée and it was crispy, hot, delicious and fresh. It also came with hush puppies that were great as well as shrimp coleslaw. The shrimp coleslaw was different and best coleslaw I’ve ever eaten. I must mention That the glass of wine pour was phenomenal. Most restaurants try to cheap you and give you a very small portion but they give you a very large glass of wine for only eight bucks. This is definitely a must do in Tampa and I would definitely return. Oh I forgot to mention there is free parking here and make sure that you taste the red potatoes with Parmesan and garlic butter sauce.

This is such a cute place, happy vibe, delicious food and great service! I had the shrimp boy which was delicious and made from freshly breaded shrimp not prefrozen stuff out of a bag. The spicy shrimp slaw is an added pleasant surprise and you can sub red bliss potatoes for fries. Prices are reasonable and they have beer and wine. Definitely will return.

This is a hidden gem in Ybor (Tampa) Florida. The place does not stand out from outside, but it is a nice casual seafood atmosphere with excellent food! The service was great (it helped that we were the only ones there initially). My wife and I ordered a wide variety of items and all were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I will definitely be coming back.

It fast nice service. Have tried order uber eats 2 times and it was unexpectedly cancelled twice in row. This particular time I personally went and ordered to go. Calamari was good but received no aoli sauce. Cesar salad was very different but delightful. The herb potatoes didnt have much flavor. I guess I'll try again at a later time in the day to see if that makes a difference. It's worth another try I think.

Great little restaurant with late hours. Good and very quick service. Ordered the mia pasta with shrimp and hush puppies. Pasta was perfectly sauced and the grilled shrimp were perfectly seasoned. About $50 for two with tip.

OMG. I was so happy after this meal. Since I got to Florida two weeks ago I've been hunting for a burger with shrimp on it and FINALLY! I FOUND IT! The Shrimpa Burger didn't have shrimp on though, it had shrimp in it!! I was in awe.. when my Burger arrived I dressed it with the Spicy Shrimp Slaw and ketchup and mustard and wow, it was an eye opening experience. I was so nervous up to that first bite and I was not disappointed! The burger itself was very tasty and juicy and the perfect size for a hungry man lol. Just thinking about makes me want to go back. I LOVE shrimp and not much needs to be said about the side, they were amazing. They were so big, Fried golden, fresh and so tasty. The best part! I got all this food for only $17! Please! If you love shrimp like I do, go here!

Five stars for me The place is clean. Tables, tablecloth, chairs all were spotless. I'm used to vinyl being sticky but this was not! The gulf shrimp were devained and lightly breaded, not oily. Ditto the mahi. The key lime pie was superb! Loved it! Oh yeah. The service was great as well. Smiling and prompt.

It's our first time here, and I wasn't expecting it to be as delicious as it is. The shrimp was awesome and the soft shell crab sandwich is great! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is the building itself as well as decor is pretty dated and you can hear the kitchen staff in the back. However! I do recommend this place if you're in Your and want some seafood.

For a tiny restaurant, this place seats a suprising amount of people. The food was good, the only issues being that everything was very salty, and my friend and I both love heavily seasoned food. This place is the only place around here that I've seen that has an entire soft shell crab fried and served on a bun!! Absolutely ideal!!! Beyond that, the spicy shrimp slaw was delicious but too wet! Less Mayo or whatever they use would make it 100% better.

Yummy Grouper....Had the calamari to start and grouper sandwiches as main dish..We enjoyed them very much it was perfectly cooked love the spicy coleslaw(placed it on the sandwich it was yummy) the red potatoes with parmesan garlic butter yummyyy....Fries crispy very tasty...I wish that the calamari was a darker cook but it still was good. We enjoyed it I didn't feel over full end of the meal. I recommend it to anyone who wants to come and eat. Great eats.

Excellent, best meal I've had in a while. The blackened and garlic butter gulf shrimp were tender, delectable, seasoned perfectly and super fresh! We all loved the spicy shrimp slaw, so much flavor and a touch of heat. The Caribbean platter was great too. Do yourself a favor and ask for a side of their homemade habareno sauce.

We are from MA and I have to say my family and I had a great experience! Everything was delicious, sea food was fresh, staff are very friendly and attentive. Prices are affordable and loved the decoration theme. We were a party of 7 including 3 children and everyone was very pleased. Thank you for your great service and delicious food! Excellent service! Waiter and host were pleasant and provided quick service and good recommendations on food since this was our first time. The shrimp were spectacular! Came to shrimp and co on a whim and man did it LAND! The menu is so guttural and beautifully executed. We were surprised to find escargot on the menu and weren’t disappointed when it came to our table in a bath or butter and shallots! The peel and eat shrimp are boiled in old bay so they come out hot (order two orders and thank me later). The fun crab dip was the highlight and we dipped everything dippable at the table in it. The perfect amount of crab and cheese! Our server was sweet and hospitable and the food was some of the best comfort food in ybor. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE

Looks can be deceiving, but this little place sure did fill my seafood craving. My table got a blend of different food and it all came out fantastic. Lots of flavor , lots of food to look at , great for dates! I loved this place, seafood is their game and it's great

Was looking for some place to eat after visiting the Florida Aquarium. Had the taste for seafood and google suggested this place. I called to see what the wait time was and Cody answered and said there wasn't a wait at the moment and that he would already setup our tables for my group. We got there and sure enough we had a section for waiting for us. Cody was our server and he made sure that we had everything we needed. Now onto the food. Everything was great. I ordered the two selection of the fried seafood. I was let down a little bit bc I wanted the clam strips but they were out of it so I chose the gulf shrimp and oysters. I got a side of their red potatoes. Get it with the parmesan you will thank me later. We also ordered three appetizers. We got the fried calamari, fried green tomatoes, and the sampler plate(can't think of the name). Again everything was great. The fried green tomatoes stole the show though. I would definitely recommend coming here.

First timers here for lunch today. Shared the Fun Crab Dip, a definite must have starter (a big portion, use any extra to dip fries in!). We had oysters, clam strips, chicken strips and a soft shell crab sandwich. Everything was fabulous including the staff. Didn't catch our servers name, we started with a super efficient male and ended with a super efficient female (my receipt says Nanii). They worked together seamlessly in conjunction with the kitchen to bust out amazing lunches to a literal full house. Way to go, we will definitely be back.

Excellent food!! I ordered the snow crab got 4 nice size clusters, red potatoes, corn on the cob and spicy shrimp slaw (I didn't care for the slaw others loved it). We had the fun crab dip appetizer!! OMG!!! DELICIOUS!! We also had a blackened Mahi Mahi platter that came with 2 sides the fish was fresh and wonderful!! Definatley will be back well worth the money we spent and the hour drive!!!

I thought it was over priced for the skill level of the food received. I had shrimp scampi. It came with a 1/2 cup of yellow rice, 7-8 shrimp in a scampi sauce & 3 fried green tomatoes. I also had a side salad & a pepsi. With the 20% tip my bill was $35 just for me. I left unsatisfied & feeling a little buyers remorse.

You know, I have been having a hard time finding decent food in Tampa, but this place was really good. I had the fried shrimp basket, would definitely order again. My mom ordered the florida steam pot. I didn't really like it because the sauce tasted like Louisiana, but my mom absolutely loved it and slurped everything right up. To top it all off, they have the kindest servers. I can't wait to go back.

After hanging out in the area, wife and I visited this restaurant, mainly for some shrimp. First time visit here for us. The shrimp appetizer was simply great. Messy, because it's peel and eat "BIG" shrimp. Very good. We couldn't finish eating our main meal, so we were offered a to-go box. After paying for the meal, wife and I walked out to walk off the stuff stomachs we had for a couple blocks. We came back to our vehicle after the walk, and our server (Cody) met us to give us our boxed-up food. That we forgot! Cudos for that, on top of being very satisfied. Been coming here for 12 years every time we are in Tampa area. Great peel and eat shrimp and the Fun Crab is amazing. Go for one of the Boils for a feast that will delight your palate for seafood. Great service and if you go on a Friday or Saturday night you will see all kinds of cool classic cars driving around with great setups.

The food is amazing! Pelin and Bugra were the only wait staff because 3 servers are out sick and they were totally on point and just as nice as can be. They checked on us and were attention in spite of how busy the restaurant was. This family duo were amazing, taking orders, clearing tables, keeping the floors clean, bringing out the food. Nephew and I went to three restaurants before coming here and we walked out of them all. I'm so glad the other places were super slow, leading us here. Peline and Bugra are the owners and they have a top notch restaurant you should patronize. Catty corner from the Columbia Restaurant and worth the trip. Get there, get here after reading this review. Great place!

Very pleased with my 'Grouper Basket' for dinner. I really liked the slaw - but some in our group said it was too 'spicy' for them. I like things with a little 'kick.' All loved the potatoes - nice change from fries. Great service. Husband's gulf shrimp platter had smaller shrimp than he preferred, but he said it tasted fine. Casual atmosphere, with close parking. Also easy to walk a couple of blocks to the streetcar line.

There weren't any people in the restaurant when we walked in. As we were eating, a very large party showed up though. Our server was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The shrimp and grouper baskets were delicious. I recommend the red potatoes over the fries. Anyone who has a problem with portion sizes must have quite the appetite. The sweet tea (a popular topic on some of these reviews) was plenty sweet. Our server asked how the sweet tea was. It made us wonder if they've made recent adjustments to the recipe (amount of sugar). TL;DR It's a great little restaurant. I'd recommend it to a friend.

Came here for lunch with a friend today. Interior of the restaurant was clean but it had a "dive vibe." I ordered a Caesar salad and added grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was superb...excellent, in fact. And the portion size was enormous. The Caesar dressing was tasty. My friend ordered a grouper sandwich with sweet potato fries. I think the portion size of the grouper was about 5 ounces, kind of steep for the $22.99 price of that sandwich. That being said, my friend liked the sandwich and sweet potato fries.

Spending a couple nights in Ybor City and I wanted fresh, local seafood. I was steered to this gem of a place. Service was fantastic from the moment I walked in. My server, Faith, was outstanding. She was friendly & attentive without being overbearing. She didn’t hurry me & answered ALL my questions about the menu. I was thrilled with my choice of blackened grouper & fried shrimp (they use a dusting for their batter). This was just what I was looking for. Took a slice of their made in-house key lime pie to go. Ditch the cocktail sauce! This place has very very tasty, lightly breaded and meaty fresh Gulf shrimp. The Mrs enjoyed a perfectly blackened grouper sandwich. Price was reasonable but portions could've been heartier.

After leaving another seafood restaurant in this area for poor food quality & temperature we stumbled across this little gold mine. We ordered a shrimp poboy & a fried oyster poboy (both fried crisp). We received crispy hand battered shrimp (not the frozen buffet style shrimp you get at Golden Coral) & the oysters were fried to perfection as well. They had a pink sauce (slightly spicy) they added on the seafood (had mine put on the side) & a soft warm poboy bread that complemented the shrimp/oysters. Service was great and the food came out in a timely fashion. Our server Savannah was very helpful, friendly and attentive.

Super pleasantly surprised!! Walk in with 8 people. No one in the place at 7:00 on a Thursday. (It was full by the time we left). Small place, very unassuming. There was a young man serving everyone. A party of 13 walked in after us. He was outstanding! Never forgot about us. He kept his wits about him and did an awesome job with everyone. The Chef did come out and help him with drinks. Team work makes the dream work. I had the Caribbean combo and everything on it was YUM! I’m a low key person and I loved this place. Everyone in the party was happy with their food and service. Overall this restaurant is okay. Small place that is poorly decorated. We ordered scallops and fish. The scallops were overcooked. Apparently the cook presses down on the scallops while cooking them. Scallops were flat and rubbery. The fish was blackened and dry. I will say the sweet tea was great! I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for tasty seafood. Many other better options in the Tampa Bay Area.

I would go back but next time will be placing a to go order. The food was great but the waitress was horrible. She was obviously in a bad mood, rushed us, acted annoyed, huffed and puffed under her breath, it was ridiculous, however, the food was really good. I had a big plate of crabs and huge shrimp that were so good you will think about it the next day. It was group of 4, and the booth we were seated in was broken that we were all worried about it breaking while we were sitting. Management needs to spend some money to replace it, and maybe hire some real servers who want and know how to make money. If the service was better, and the seat was not broken and swaying underneath us, it would have been a 5 star experience.

The only negative thing about this place is it's distance from my home. I travel from Lake Wales to eat here. Tonight I came in to eat with a couple of friends and upon arriving, the restaurant seemed inviting. After being seated we were greeted by a waitress who seemed rather unpleasant. We ordered quickly and were ready to eat. The waitress dropped off our food, but never came back to check on us. We sat thinking of whether we wanted to continue eating or not and decided to order another plate. When the waitress cane back, we asked if we could order something and she declined stating the kitchen was closed a half an hour prior to the restaurant actually closing. She followed up with asking if we wanted dessert, but we really just couldn't understand why we couldn't order what we wanted. The food was good, however, the service was mediocre.

Judging by the looks from the outside we were expecting much but went inside anyway. Gave us the escargot on the house since they only had half an order, it was really good however, wish I had a whole order. They were also out of blue crab for the steam pot so they were giving you crab legs instead for 24.00 for the pot. They say they get their food fresh every day from the fish market. The fried shrimp is the best tasting shrimp that I have eaten in a long time. You can taste the difference between this shrimp and what most restaurants in Tampa serve, where the shrimp on your plate is usually imported from Thailand, etc and tasteless. We also had the Calamari appetizer, Soft Shell crab, red potatoes, and plaintains, all of which were delicious. The atmosphere is casual, but nice and the service was great.

I have had this place on my "Want to Go" Google list for months so I finally wandered in. I was greeted and offered a seat as well as something to drink without delay. The sweet tea was ok but it didn't make me wonder when is my next dentist appointment was. Any what is with the lemon slice on top of a glass of sugar water? I ordered the Louisiana Steam Pot and it was just ok. They use a basic off the shelf boil bag that could barely be tasted. The sides didn't have any special flavor to them either. I understand what they are going for here; cater to the bland pallet of the average person. But if any person from Louisiana try's this, they will not be happy that their states name was even printed on the menu. But to their benefit they do offer hot sauce if you want to spice it up, I just didn't know that no hot sauce meant no flavor. They were out of their strawberry desert - sad face. All in all, the staff was nice, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, but the food and missing desert items left me unimpressed. $31.55 out the door just to try it, well at least I tried it. Suggestions: Sweet tea is sweet tea, make the effort because we know what we are asking for. Louisiana steam pot means savory yumminess all over my seafood and sides so lets ensure it is. If an item is on the menu, then lets have it in the kitchen.
