Reviews of Samaria Cafe

If you are in the area and don't stop here, you are missing out!!! We walked here from our hotel and it was a great walk to an even better destination. We were greeted outside where we sat down, I entered and the host gave me menus and told us someone would be with us shortly. Our server which I wish I could remember his name was top notch, so present and happy. Once we ordered it took (in all seriousness) maybe 8 minutes to get our food. Fastest food service for freshly made fantastic food in all my life. The potatoes were scorching and sandwiches the same! Yummy! I order the Cuban and haven't had one equivalent to what this place offers since I lived down in south FL. My husband ordered the Ruben and it must have been good bc I didn't even get a taste before it was gone. We will be back next time we are in town!

Shaded outside seating was nice for a quick brunch. Avocado omelette was good with lots of cheddar cheese and a good deal of veggies. Seems like a solid brunch spot with lots of options for breakfast or lunch. I’d be interested to try one of the Eggs Benedict dishes if I stopped by again.

My friends and I went on a busy day (Gasparilla) and even with all that, the service was excellent. The hostess told us it was a 30 minute wait and it was exactly that so definite loved the efficiency. Waitress was super nice and friendly. The restaurant was busy but still we got our food in a timely manner as well as our coffee. It was amazing. Overall loved the food and love the service. The price for the food is also fair. Definitely recommend.

Amazing breakfast spot in downtown Tampa. The crepes are yummy and large. The bakery items are made fresh daily & mouth watering. Must try the French press coffee. All I can say is WOW
Dennis Phillippy
Very nice breakfast with outdoor seating. I had the grand slam and my wife had the avacado omelette. My breakfast was cooked as ordered and tasted good. My wifes omelette was fluffy and very tasty. One thing that I really appreciated was that they warmed the syrup before they brought it so my pancakes didn’t get cold from pouring cold syrup on them.

For Saturday morning breakfast we decided to have breakfast at Samaria Café. For breakfast we ordered Mango Smoothie, Strawberry Smoothie, Country Benedict, Avocado Omelet and French Toast. First our smoothie's came and the smoothie's were good in taste and amazing. We didn't had to wait much for our food as service was quick. The food was good. We still believed food can be made more delicious but it was a good food experience.
Michelle Tuetken
Great location. Wide-variety of food options, including healthy choices. My Crepe was delicious. My husband's eggs & hash browns were cold, unfortunately. The coffee was delicious. The restaurant wasn't as clean as what we prefer, but tolerable. We received nice-sized portions. Our server was excellent. A friendly cafe.
Gilbert Chin
Nice American style diner. Good selection of food available and staff is friendly
Russell Allen
Staff was very nice and fast. I highly recommend the Country Eggs Benedict with hash browns...so delicious! "The crepes and French toast were delicious" as well says the family.
Franklin Bacon
Nice location cute little greasy spoon. The eggs were not close to over medium, non eat able for me. The country fried steak was great along with the gravy and hashbrowns. Server was great she was training a very polite younger man. She did fail to ask how our food was.
Steve Risenmay
The food was great. I love a good Reuben sandwich and the flavor was amazing. Their fries are battered and crispy. I would recommend eating here. I told my wife I want to go back for a snack after dinner because that Reuben tasted so good. The service here is great. They have indoor and outdoor tables.
Rozzè Avecilla
Denna was amazing we where very happy with her service, love her smile, her understanding that we where on a hurry and she got our food fast. Food was delicious, flavor was awesome texture good, the temperature of the food it was just right and I even had leftovers, you should try next time that you are in the area. We have a Volleyball tournament at Tampa Convention Center so we decided to walk around and find a local restaurant and this is a must. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did
Aldo Garcia
Great breakfast, homie diner feel. The western breakfast crepe is a go to for me, moving forward
Mike Milonas
This place was phenomenal! The food was delicious and the staff was amazing! They were able to handle a large group of cheerleaders and parents and everything was flawless. We’ll definitely be back!
Mitch Lesowski
Frozen tasting country fried steak, very mid everything else. 3 starts because of great coffee.
Coming from a breakfast lover—I’d go somewhere else if I were you. Nice waitstaff
Erin Jones
Samaria never disappoints! Generous, delicious food at a reasonable price. Delicious Florentine Benedict, always fresh fruit bowl & a whole pot of coffee for the table! Whenever I'm in Tampa we go for breakfast!
Harold Gallup
Great menu selection.
Service was good as it was very busy this morning.
Good cafe vibe!
Everyone of group enjoyed what they had and very good portion size!!
Erick Wood
First place I was able to review in Downtown Tampa. So I also decided to try a a Gyro and an European Frappe for the first time. It was good and fresh, combined with the patio seating during the afternoon made for a relaxing lunch break!
Zach Detwiler
What a great place to get breakfast!
Been there twice now, the last two times we visited Tampa, and it's definitely better than any chain restaurant. Good food, great city diner feel, and it's in a good location downtown. You won't be disappointed!
Michelle Francois
Delicious!!! I walked in and was immediately greeted. My server, Terry, reviewed the seating chart and sat me in a booth to ensure social distance rules were applied. The restaurant had a decent amount of tables and there was no visible grouping separate parties. There is also outdoor (sidewalk) seating available. I ordered the Country Benedict and swapped out the sausage gravy for hollandaise which made it delish. A great Benedict alternative. The service was good, my food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Terry was very attentive and checked to see if everything was ok after the food came out. A plus for coffee lovers, no waiting for refills to be brought around, a small carafe Is brought to your table, refill as much as you like.

Having moved to Tampa, I found it very hard to find an authentic cafe or breakfast spot that hit all the right check marks as much as I did with Samaria. From the lovely crew, to the authentic French inspired menu items, Samaria rocks. Samaria is a cafe that I will continue to come to because of how much it feels like home.
Derek Salka
The pancakes are amazing. Great coffee! The wait staff are really prompt, courteous and attentive. If give 6 stars if I could.
Léane Muller
Amazing food! I highly recommend getting the crepes. It’s also a really cute spot in Tampa. Owner and staff were really nice.
Leila Alieva
Our server Dana was super, she helped us with the menu and was amazing.
The food was fine, but not the best of the best. It's ok.
Lynn Williams
The food was delicious!!! Our server, Drew, was also very informative and attentive to our needs. We will be back again.
Carrie Ciccolella
Really wish they would open a restaurant in Charleston, SC. Gluten free options and a large menu. The waitress was very hospitable even though they closed in 30 minutes.
Lucas Kerr
Came for the French options such as crepes or croque monsieur sandwhich. Good food. Atmosphere feels diner like but otherwise good service.
loryne muller
The food was really good and the server was really nice. One of the best breakfast place in Tampa, the Ratatouille was delicious.
Stuber Velasquez
The food and service was excellent. They have a great menu selection. The meal arrived very quickly and it was hot and fresh! It was a great place to meet up with family and friends.
Handl House
This place is ALWAYS awesome! When I’m in the downtown Tampa area, I always stop here. Friendly folks and great food at reasonable prices.
Jay Rodriguez
Delicious food. Staff are very courteous, and I've seen this place get PACKED for lunch. The breakfast portions seem priced right for the area, and they're deceptively large. The home fries are evenly coated in "spicy fries" spices. It's a quick walk from the convention center, too!
Eos S
Busy but didn't wait too long for line and when seated food not also long to wait after we order. Great place, food and service.
Myk McGrane
Food was perfect. Fast, made to order and real flavor, very wholesome on your pallet, nothing lazy, nothing frozen. The host cares, is fast, responsive and he's super polite.
Calvin Nissley
Service and vibe was great. My breakfast crepe and other items were sub par… definitely have had better tasting. Still decent place to visit
juan cuevas
This place is amazing very busy but fast and friendly service. Clean good family environment and the food is just the best I’ve ever had.
Lynne B
This is a lovely family owned restaurant that we stumbled upon just looking for some breakfast. So glad we ate here as we just had wonderful conversations with the owner and waitress. The food was fabulous! I took a picture of the fruit that came with my meal because it was so delightful to have something besides just melons in a fruit dish! This had bananas, strawberries, blueberries, apples, and yes, some melons. If I lived in Tampa, I would be here all the time.
Jacqi M.
Delicious food, big portions, and excellent service. I had the lox bagel and my partner had the gyro omelet. Both were great! And the side of fruit was so fresh!
Ron Padilla
Breakfast was great, they had outside tables as well so we took advantage of the 70 degree sunny day and sat outside!
Ana Espina
Ate a bagel with cream cheese and the cream cheese was spoiled i almost threw up. The bacon tasted spoiled too. The “hot” chocolate I received was cold. The fruit was old as well. I expected more from this place considering the price but was sadly disappointed. Customer service was not great either, but the owner seems really nice. I hope they can improve because it has potential.
Madina Bahretdinova (MIACCOUNTING)
We are very picky when it comes to breakfast! We like salmon eggs Benedict, avocado toast, great coffee and we were afraid we wouldn’t find a place that has all that in Tampa. But this place is truly amazing! Delicious food! Definitely best breakfast in Tampa and the location is very nice! Friendly staff) definitely recommend!
Pierre Suranto
Nice cafe style atmosphere, friendly service, speedy and food tasted great! Pricing is very reasonable as well, would definitely recommend, lived up to the reviews.
Henry Young
Terrific breakfast this time shared with former member of American Ballet Theater and one of America's foremost dance photographer's Rosalie O'Connor.
HKO 95
Loved this place. I sat outside and had a great light breakfast.
Service was very good too.
James Galluzzo
Fantastic breakfast. This place was recommended by our hotel and we walked about 4 blocks to this place. Coffee is the best we've had. Crispy bacon, Challah French Toast and the Samaria Frittata was unreal. Highly recommended.
Ms Kim
We love coming here for the hot chocolate! They make it very gourmet looking... We love the atmosphere, we love the waitresses, the new owners are as friendly as you could ask for and they remember you next time you come in. My honest opinion is the food is a little bland.. Use of some more salt and pepper or other seasonings would be helpful but overall the food is made good. We've never had bad service here so I am sorry for anyone who has.
It's just a good spot to go to if your wanting a good plate and your near the downtown Tampa area... We like to walk to Curtis Hixon Park afterwards... makes for a nice weekend routine!!
annalise jones
Best restaurant ever!! Highly recommend, owners are so nice and food is excellent and authentic!
Jasser Alharbi
A cool place to have breakfast in Downtown Tampa. I had Florentine Benedict and was good. The waiter was friendly and helpful.
Salena Tully
Had an amazing brunch there this morning! I love that you can order breakfast or lunch all day. I had lunch at 9 am :) Try the vegetable panini. It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! The server was amazing, too! We will back next time we are in town!
Lisa P
Excellent eggs, large portion of ham, toast was thick, home fries seasoned very well, and coffee was not weak! Great deal, great quality, service and outdoor seating was nice. Server Drew… was cool:)
Omar Navarro
What a wonderful light and refreshing meal, an Oasis in this tropical paradise. I felt like I was back in Greece!
G Michael
Great food and service! Cute local cafe, large menu, attentive wait staff, good portion sizes, and a friendly atmosphere. Owner/manager takes pride in restaurant and offerings and it shows!
Adonis Pointer
Downtown diner feel. Friendly staff. Cafeteria style seating. Decent food. Nothing fancy but good standard fare. Parking is average for downtown.
David Bonsey
Your Average Greek american diner restaurant for breakfast and lunch no appetizers or lacking more appetizer options bathrooms and back hallway needed cleaning food was good I had mushroom eggs benedict omelette and the Grand Slam
Jason Grant
The omelette was huge! I'm not sure how many eggs tmis in this thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a half dozen. Hash browns were really good. I saw someone one the street with these hash browns and that's what drew me in. While I would give it an A for quantity, I didn't think it was all that flavorful. The eggs were cooked separately from the rest of the omelette filling and just rolled together. Could have used a little more seasoning in the actually omelette. I prefer not to add salt and pepper after its already cooked.
Tamika Potter
Quiet happy atmosphere with delicious food an excellent service.. I tried eggs benedict for the first time. Southern style Benedict and it was delicious
SR Emison
This place is a hidden gem! No photos of the food because it looked so good we ate it without even thinking of stopping for a photo. My omelette was huge, home fries were seasoned perfectly - no need for sauce - and my son loved his pancakes with fresh strawberries. Neighbors had a huge burger cooked well done and a fresh salad. The entire staff was friendly and welcomed us to the restaurant. Next time you go for a walk on the Riverwalk, stop here!
Mallory Hatfield
Our party of 3 had a nice and leisurely Saturday breakfast followed by “second breakfast”. We started with delicious coffee, croque monsier (grilled ham and cheese sandwich and comes with hash browns), crepe la Provençal (filled with ratatouille and comes w/ home fries), avocado toast with home fries. Other than the hash browns which was lackluster and not seasoned well, everything was deliri. Our “second” was crepe du sud (filled with the most delicious chestnut crepe and sliced almonds): HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!, crepe de Helene (filled with poached pears, drizzled with chocolate and topped with vanilla ice cream: RECOMMEND!! and lastly crepe de pomme (filled with apples), not so crazy about this one. Apples taste like it came from a can for apple pie, too soft/over cooked. Our waitress gave us prompt friendly service. Highly Recommend all try Samaria Cafe under the management of a delightful Frenchwoman from Menton!!!
Bryant Perez
Great food and friendly people! The bathroom wasn't in the greatest condition, but I can see why this is one of the top rated places in Tampa! Will be coming back on next trjp
Kesha Barnes
At here 2x's while in Tampa. Awesome Mom & Pop restaurant. Service was great!
Emily K Peck
I am not local, but I’d had such a great experience a few years ago, I had to find it again, & not disappointed! It’s got that classic diner feel but very clean & well taken care of. Friendly staff, our server Terry was fantastic, & the food was great!
Brian Burkett
Great place for breakfast. We both had the Italian omelette. It was massive. Our server was really running since it was busy, but didn't ever go more than a few minutes without checking on us. Great service.
Amanda Tabb
Nice little place food was great staff was very friendly.
Don Pratt
I drive from Ocala to eat here. Be ready for the best possible version of your favorite foods! Close your eyes and randomly pick an item off the menu and you will be gleaming with satisfaction as you are even compelled to eat what you pick out of your teeth! And the staff makes you feel special.... I don't understand how a lot of reviews say "I love their ___" , and "their ___ is AMAZING"... And yet leave 3 or 4 stars?? I'm telling you, if you are anywhere near here, you have the best experience waiting for you. Great food! Great service!
Charlie Garcia
I recommend Samaria cafe 100%. The atmosphere was great as well as the employees. If you're in the downtown Tampa area you should try this restaurant.
Jalissa Rivera
We had the avocado omelette and the country Benedict this morning. They give excellent sized portions for breakfast so you definitely won't leave here hungry. Coffee is also delicious and pricing is about $10 to $15 per person.
Devin Kloss
Best. Place. Ever. Our server Lia was outstanding and so was the food!
Cedric Ulad
Lunch was lovely! Staff member Lia made it much more love-able !
Zenia Young
I came with my daughter and her family for the first time to Tampa, we were looking for a decent place to eat near the River walk, and Google give the option of Samaria Cafe, we order gyros and two chicken sandwiches, both were spectacularly delicious! I fully recommend this place and for sure next time I’m around I’ll come back! The Manager came around to check on us and our waitress was really nice!
Cigdem Alkan
great breakfast
The most important meal for me breakfast. That’s why i am so picky to find places. I searched in google and I saw the reviews. And I came to try breakfast here . It was amazing taste . Fresh squeezed orange juice , veggies omelette and hash browns. Everything is here awesome. I was so full I couldn’t try their pancake . Absolutely I will come soon and try new things . Thank you for great service !
Nikita Salgado
Really good food and very nice staff. Omelette was kinda bland for my taste, but meal was hot home fries and bread was delicious
Pia West
Our server, Terry, was amazing. Very accommodating, very polite. He made our dining experience great. The food was great and very filling.
Melissa Diaz
The food was great and the service was outstanding!
The server let us know that he wanted to get our order in quickly because there was a party of 20 about to order and he wanted to get us entered first. The woman working was so great with our kids. She brought them coloring papers and little toys and even chatted with them for a bit. We will definitely go back!
Kiko Antonio
Benedict's are amazing especially the California. Sometimes can be a bit busy but that's downtown. Good food good service great environment give it a try
Shaema Imam
Food tasty . Very large servings. Mango slushie was really nice. French toast. One eggs Benedict dish enough for 2 people. Outdoor seating was nice but not much space for pedestrians to walk through between tables.
Pepsi mola
Lovely people, tasteful food and fresh fruits at a reasonable price. Small bad note, some beanch are ripped.
Marshall Davis
A bit higher prices than I expected but overall a good breakfast. I'd skip the grits, they were a little watery, and any coffee other than simple cups. The mocha was pretty much diner coffee with chocolate syrup barely mixed in.
Orion Maier
Non pretentious brunch place with good prices, great portions, and rock solid food.
Fe Malay
Hilarious staff, delicious food, great coffee. Will be back many more times. I recommend the quiche
Momo Momo
Loved it the food was so good and so was the service definitely coming back
Albert Emery
I came in here for breakfast a couple of years ago. I thought that the omelet that I ordered was very filling and flavorful.
The place was also clean and the service was attentive and prompt. From what I researched, this is one of the better breakfast restaurants in Downtown Tampa.
Overall, this is a great breakfast place right in the center of the downtown.
Macarena Rose
Took ONE hour to get our meal!!
For three at 10:30 am we ordered, received our food at 11:30. Yet other sat down after us and paid their bill - before we got our food. The owner came out when it came time to pay our bill, apologized and did not let us pay. I truly wish the server had stayed on top of our order to find out what the issue was, as we were going to pay for food. When I finally got my food, I got an avocado omelette; which I did not order.
So I never got to eat my breakfast anyway as I sent it back because I don't like avocado in my omelette. The other two people in our party said the food was good though. I never was brought my multi grain bread- so I ate my friends toast. Not sure we would drive from New Port Richey to try this place again -
James Wolf
Wonderful food, even more wonderful service. Eating breakfast in the city outside is another kind of bliss for a city person

Small Business, Amazing Flavor!!
I online ordered a Gyro Wrap with fries To-Go. I had arrived early and inquired about my order, and Terry, the manager, was very welcoming and pleasant to speak with while I sat at the counter, old fashioned style, and waited for my order to be ready.
The Food: Delicious!! I had not had the gyro wrap prior to today, but it had great flavor, just thr right amount of each ingredient, and everything was mixed in within the wrap itself (so you don't get a bite of just lettuce or just meat). I am usually very skeptical about ordering fries to go, because even in a short walk back to your office, they get soggy quick. Not fries from Samaria!!!! They were very crispy and hot when I sat to enjoy my lunch.
Thank you, Samaria Cafe, for a delicious lunch 😀
Sean Beeg
Nice place. Would love to go back for lunch one day.
They have actual Italian Sausage, and the fruit is very fresh.
Extra emphasis on cleaning which is appreciated!
Bacon was not the best, over cooked.
Bagel and toast were fresh.
Eggs, hash browns and potatoes were also very good.
Larry Shane
Fantastic breakfast!
Winston Lightbody
Amazing food and I will for sure come back!
Jessica Sweatland
I ordered to-go breakfast. And while normally I’ve been very satisfied with this Cafe, today I wasn’t. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and for $12.99, I was VERY disappointed. I opened the box when I got home to find one biscuit with a small scoop of gravy on top. For that price, I was expecting something I wasn’t going to be able to finish. Additionally, there were maybe 4 pieces of sausage in the gravy. It tasted good but for that price, I would have expected more. I’m pretty disappointed and won’t be ordering that ever again.
Room Design In a Box
That crepe was really good. It was their special of the day. The potatoes weren't bad, very well seasoned, so I liked that. Coffee was good. I would go back and try a new special. Good service here!
Kesha Follins
That was the best breakfast I've had in a long time, with reasonable price. I waitress was bomb I will highly recommend
Laurie Bear (Lauriebear)
I ordered the mushroom benedict and it was delicious. Egg poached perfectly, right amount of sauce and a crispy English muffin.
OJ was amazing!!!
We sat outside and brought our dog, place is very dog friendly BTW love that. They brought her a bowl of water and just enjoyed the bruch.
Robert Gonzalez
Had breakfast there with a friend and the food was very good and service was friendly and fast.
Gabbi Pacatte
Good selection on coffee drinks. Love the flamingo floaters they put the ice coffees in. So cute!
Craig Sears
Cant say enough good things about this place. Everything I've ever had has been great. Highly recommend the Country Benedict and the Home Fries! In fact anything with the Home Fries, they're superb. The proprietors each take an exceptional approach to customer service and this restaurant is everything you could ask for!
Feda Abu-Mallouh
We arrived to a busy restaurant (which means great things), greeted by the hostess who said it would be a half hour wait. That was ok with us, but she said she didn't need our name because she would remember the order. There was a couple a few places behind us, and she came out later and tried to seat them first. The couple had mentioned that we were actually next, and that's when she decided to take us in.
The food was good, and the service was quick. Not a fan of their iced coffee drinks. I ordered an iced white chocolate mocha, and it just tasted like a plain iced coffee (you have to ask for whip cream if you want it to look like the picture in their menu).
Overall it was a good experience.
Shy Yohey
O M G..first time trying this place and I’m in love. I ordered the country style Benedict..so rich, true southern comfort! It was so good. I had DoorDash order, food arrived still hot only downfall was the dasher didn’t bring my cafe mocha.
Paul Casebolt
Great service and great food! Three people in our party and all the food looked and smelled delicious. The Monte Cristo was outstanding. I tried a bite of my wife's Krab benedict and the hollandaise is well made. Our friend with us ordered an omelet and it was HUGE! If you have 2 light eaters in your group it could easily be shared.
It's downtown, so you're looking at street parking.
This is a little far from our house, but can definitely see this being a "we have company in town let's go someplace local" kind of place. We'll be back!
Greg Dee
We ate at this downtown gem following one of the Gasparilla races in downtown Tampa. We chose this place over First Watch next door b/c of outdoor seating. We were so glad we did because the food was much better!
Nice & extensive menu. The breakfast items we ordered were all hearty portions so make sure you come hungry. The house home-fries were especially tasty & unique. I also had the fresh squeezed orange juice which delivered amazing flavor. I did not get to step inside the actual dining room as our entire experience was on the outside tables but I would highly recommend this place over First Watch. Even the owner came up & spoke to us! He made the whole experience feel like we were eating at his house. Very nice!
Sebastian Rios
Delicious! Food is well priced.
Sy Sandhu
Came here for brunch. Overall a nice location and good outdoor seating. I ordered some kind of grand slam that has eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The bacon I would definitely pass on, pancakes were good I mean how could you mess up those and eggs were a bit bland but I was starving so I didn’t care. They had so many unique sounding combinations but I wanted to try a standard breakfast to see how they would do it and meh; I wasn’t wowed. We sat outside Bc I didn’t feel comfortable sitting inside. Our server was the best and had no complaints about service; she was tentative and struck up a nice conversation. She told me a bit about the history of this place which was nice to learn about. So, Would I come here again? If I was in the area and starving but I wouldn’t come out of my way; Oxford Exchange is much better.

Staying at hotel nearby found you google search walking distance but got lost .Nice lady Veronica working downtown helped me find Samira cafe on 502 N Tampa st..Pleasantly surprised waffles ,french toast, sausage, bacon ,eggs hot tasty fresh . All condiments and utinsels included as we are in hotel room. The newly hired server that took my order was friendly she was and not afraid to ask for help with my inquiries. The kids are 100 % cant wait for breakfast tomorrow. Thank you for helping start our day off right. Outdoor seating available love that option
Sr Beautiful
Food was good and it did not disappoint, there plenty of options to choose from I would recommend it, the service was okay not bad or anything just weird. I ask if there were any dairy free options for my latte and was told no, I asked if they had almond milk and they said yes...hmmmm okay, then my wife was asking basic questions about certain menu items and our waiter really had no idea how to answer certain questions on there menu so we had to Google it lol overall I would go again.

Great food! wonderful staff! You can find the artist on Instagram. @artist_esh

Went in for lunch today. Service was expected diner service. No problems, just a tad slow. Food was okay. Ordered soup and 1/2 sandwich. French onion soup was almost good, but was COVERED in garlic salt which overwhelmed the soup. The BLT was a good, basic BLT. Two slices of (thin) bacon, decent bread, great mayo, and fresh LT. Last thought though is the restaurant feels a little dirty. Ive worked in many restaurants and there’s really now excuse when it comes to the areas that patrons see (bustle entry rug, wipe windowsills, inside creases of booths and corners of tables, etc.- they are covered in crumbs, dead bugs, dust). I’d give it another shot because it seems like it used to be a great downtown diner spot but hopefully ownership/management takes this review as a friendly reminder to remember the little things.
Jessica Claudio
Good food at a great price. Nice location. Friendly staff. If I am in the area again I would definitely go. Good/healthy portions, lots of options, indoor and outdoor eating. Only downside is that it could use a bit more air circulation. But overall YUMMY!
Kayla Jones
We loved this cafe! The whole staff worked together beautifully to make it an enjoyable experience. Our waiter, Terry was kind and efficient!
Abel Garcia
Very good breakfast. We recommended
RJ Edwards
I don't usually write reviews, however, I was surprised by my experience, which warrants one. The food here was surprisingly good, great even. The staff was attentive and engaged. I couldn't find a single thing I would change about my experience. I will be back.
tfobiz1
The owner was a nice woman who was great to talk to. Erica was our waitress and super awesome! I live in Colorado and if I lived here this restaurant would be my hangout! The food was great and a lot for the price! Thank you Samaria Cafe!
Ashley Caggiano
Really great staff and the food was incredibly filling and delicious. Waiter told us the omelette would serve two and we should have believed him! The eggs Benedict were some of the best I've ever had. The menu had lots of vegetarian options as well which was a big plus for me.
Lauren Neifert
Great service! So friendly :) the owner was out there working hard and welcoming/seating customers. We loved seeing that hard work. The breakfast food was amazing. The fresh fruit plate was a large serving that 2 of us split and it was fresh and delicious. I would go back every day if I lived in Tampa
Chris Fs
Such a lovely experience eating here. Great traditional Greek Frappe's made " with love " by the owner.
We had to stop at the Greek consulate next door and happened across this nice restaurant. Great Gyros and the owners truly made us feel at home!
If ever in Tampa in the mood for a diner with a home cooking feel this is your spot.
AJ
Excellent tasting food, portions, and service with a Greek influence. We were warmly welcomed once inside and got our dining experience started with pleasant conversation with what seemed to be the owner. Left very satisfied and would be back again!

Good atmosphere for comfort food. Owner is a sweetheart and came to say hi to us. Found syrup very light in flavor couldn't be Grade A and French toast is not a dish I'd repeat. My kid loved the egg sandwich.
Phil L
Clean little diner good service prices very fair quality is good.
Had the classic breakfast tasty and fresh and a jug of coffee. Which is nice
TeeJay Smith
Cleaned and assorted menus. Location is in downtown Tampa with heavy traffic sometimes.
Joseph Murray
This place has great food that's hot and with fresh ingredients from what I could tell the vegatables were frozen previously and made my egg a little wet but I loved my meal and the staff is very friendly and it's a really neat place to look at from the inside and out. Overall I enjoyed this place and so did my friends. This place exceeded my expectations and i would absolutely come back and/or recommend this place to others. Thanks for reading my review hope it makes your visit better for you and yours!

The only reason why I am giving four stars is because of Dalia. We waited 25 mins to get seated and another 10 mins for us to get Dalia after we complained that Andrew failed to acknowledge our party, and another server saying Andrew is aware he needs to serve your table. The food was ok
Heather Harris
The food is amazing. I had a gyro omelette, so very yummy. Very friendly and efficient staff. My sister has food allergies and they were able to provide her with a delicious omelette as well. Will definitely recommend!!!
Michael Lemons
Nice cafe, friendly staff seated me quickly at the beginning of the lunch rush. Around noon. I ordered the spinach and mushroom quiche which was nice and warm. Very filling. Had to take my fruit and half a banana muffin with me. I'll certainly eat there again next time I have jury duty. Thanks guys, great lunch!
Shelby Pogany
My boyfriend liked his French toast but he wishes it came with whip but in the cafe's defense we didn't ask if they had any in the kitchen either. I like everything about my eggs benedict but that fact that I tasted something...sour? or lemony? couldn't put my finger on it but whatever it was it was too much. I ordered a side of sausage for $5, they gave me one link, not satisfactory to my eyes but it was delicious. I guess I'm giving 3 stars cause the food was ok and so was the staff.
Alyce Singh
Great diner for breakfast and lunch. My favorites are the Benedict’s and paninis. Salads are huge too(chicken is my favorite add on, always fresh and flavorful)
Daryl Lucas
Have eaten here 3 times. Food is classic diner/greasy spoon. Omelets are huge but could be better. Sausage really greasy. Eggs excellent. Service is good. My order today was wrong (eggs over easy instead of hard). Coffee is above-average.
Rachel Fischer
This restaurant is not only fast, friendly, and affordable. I have never had a bad meal here or bad service. The owner and his wife are so sweet and treat everyone like family. The servers and the owners are very attentive and caring. I’m sad that we can’t come more often because we live far now. But as a pregnant women I will tell you this is one of my cravings! I wish this restaurant and the owners much success always! Thank you we will be back soon.
Emmy Bee
Lots of great choices for food it was hard to pick just one!!! The staff was very friendly and attentive even when it was a very busy morning. Next time i visit tampa id love to come back here !
Richard Kumpfer
Staff was friendly and very helpful. There were a bunch of breakfast and lunch options. All which look very delectable. There's even fresh squeezed orange juice! The food that we got was excellent! Would definitely recommend stopping by.
Nikita Hernandez
Best omelette I've ever had! So incredibly fresh and delicious. My partner got the monte Cristo and although it wasn't fried it was perfect. The break was toasted to perfection. I'm very surprised at the price for the amount of food that you get
Lauren Clements
Decent breakfast food and a whole carafe of coffee! No more waiting for refills. I would love to go back for their lunch sometime. I wish I could take our waiter, Terry, home with us. He was just lovely.
Mara Mandell
Really enjoy this place. Frequently have lunch with friends here when downtown. The staff is fantastic; most often Tara is our wait person and she is the BEST! The owner always makes sure everything is ok every time as well (not just us).
I am a vegetarian and no problem finding something delicious here even though I typically get the veggie quiche with fruit. Highly recommend
Alexis LaFauci
Staff was incredibly friendly, fast service, great breakfast, open early!
Carmine Giattino
Great staff, great food, great service. I recommend the Frittata!
robert banuelas
Inexpensive and nice prime area.
Arlie DuBois
Not sure how someone could give this place a bad review... The food was delicious, the service was fast and the staff was very nice. My daughter met me here for breakfast and it's our new Sunday breakfast spot!
Dy'mannd Smith
Please don't let anything deter u from going here! Not only was the staff courteous but the food and its presentation were truly the best I've ever encountered.
It does smell a bit raw inside but being by the ocean may result in baked up sewer lines. Surely did not interfere with the taste or quality of the food or service
Robin McFadden
Lox & Bagel special was great! I was a little hesitant to order it but I’m glad I did. Yum! We also had Eggs Benedict which were pretty good too! Owner was so sweet and kind, great personality, really takes pride in what he does!
26sjacob
Fantastic quick accurate service. Good diner food. Breakfast is really good, great portion sizes. Have been on a few visits and it is consistently very good. Not fancy but where the locals go.
scott wuest
Had a really good Sunday brunch at Samaria Cafe.
My wife had a quiche that she said was very good with fruit (she asked for no melon and it came with no melon) and a choice of muffin that she saved for later in the day.
I had the Country Benedict. The biscuit was fresh topped with a very good sausage patty, poached eggs (the only drawback to the meal as they were not runny and this may be on me for not specifying) and sausage gravy. The waitress apologized for the light hash browns but I found them to be cooked through and tasty.
Service was friendly and reasonably efficient. There was a chain breakfast place a couple of doors down that was packed and this place is significantly better than the chain and no wait.
I would go back again (and plan on it) while in town.
Margee Nutting
Best gyro I’ve had in a very long time. And my kids approved the pressed cuban sandwiches. The french fries were crispy and excellent- not your usual frozen junk. The service was a tad slow, which wouldn’t deter me from coming back but it did prevent me from giving 5 stars.
Olivia Brown
Amazing!!!! First time eating from here through (door dash)and everything was FRESH and great. The fruit salad is so fresh you can taste the melon it was just in and the banana peel it just came out of... it’s lovely to be able to eat fresh fruit and not syrup soaked fruit. This place is a go to for sure!! Thank you for the great food
Lisa Hill
Great breakfast and service. We stopped in for breakfast on a week day after experiencing a very busy Saturday a few weeks before. The food on both occasions was very good. We were greeted by a gentleman who I believe is the owner. He was pleasant and very easy to talk to. He thanked everyone for visiting as they entered and left the establishment. The gyro omlette and country benedict were delicious and our waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable and I would recommend a visit if in downtown Tampa.
Renee Abercrombie
What a delightful gyro! I had the original with pita the first trip, now I really enjoy it in a spinach wrap and grilled. So authentic and tasty! Lovely family atmosphere. A great place for lunch downtown.
Tyler Perkins
Every time I have been which is more than ten times I have been warmly welcomed by the owners. The wait staff has always been very kind. That food is amazing and the portions are large which is great and the prices are better than first watch. The food tastes better, there is more food and the price is better than any comparable restaurant. I don't understand why the line for first watch is an hour next door while this place has open tables.
Toni Holm
Wonderful restaurant with a broad menu of dishes with a touch of Greek style. The nicest staff ever and quick service despite a crazy day of customers. Had a fabulous breakfast with a group of diverse eaters and everyone was happy!
Linda B
Opa! You won't find Saganaki but the Greek fare served at this comfortable cafe works for me. The chicken lemon soup is appropriately lemony and the gyro meat is flavorful and not dry. They have a number of Greek comfort foods on the menu as well as traditional American diner fare. Breakfast is great too! Love the Eggs Benedict.
UPDATE 11/21/20: Kudos to Terry! He is happy and friendly on top of being a great server. I look forward to seeing him as much as the delicious food.
Christopher Hedge
Get the chicken pesto! Best I’ve ever had. Good service clean restaurant
Mario DePedro
Crystal was an amazing server. Fantastic energy great service despite a busy morning and being understaffed. Give her a raise and pay all your staff more because they deserve it
Jay Doe
Just had lunch @ Samaria for the very first time. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich w/ fries (to go). I had to wait a bit, but was told my sandwich was freshly made, so I didn't mind the wait. Besides, it was later in the afternoon and seemed slow, so there was a server and a Downtown Tour Guide (one of the guys in the yellow shirts we all see downtown) having a discussion that kept me entertained. Not one or 2, but 3 staff members said good-bye and have a nice day, as I was leaving. A little courtesy goes a long way :-) NOW, on to the food...the only bad thing about the sandwich was that I ate it so fast, it was gone too quick. It was perfectly seasoned grilled chicken on a Kaiser bun. The side of fries are not your average fries, they're seasoned and almost breaded textured. Delicious. I am definitely going back. The meal was about $2-3 overpriced (in my opinion), but I think all the food downtown is a little overpriced. I was satisfied and it is worth it to go back again. I was VERY surprised by some of the reviews I just read because it was absolutely not a negative experience. And, if you look at my reviews for other businesses, you'll see it is rare that I write and brag about good service. My experience was so good, that I just had to leave a 5-star review. Thanks, Samaria Café.
Ana Arapouf
It is an incredible breakfast cafe in Tampa. We love the fact it is being run by the family that cares about providing the best experience to their customers. The food is another important aspect of Samaria Cafe. Coffe is exceptional, omelets and scrambled eggs are one of the best items on the menu. You should try their gyro omelet!
Jeffrey Kessock
This is where you go when you need a hug from your mother, but she's not available. The owners love their customers and dedicate every day to your next meal. Everything is amazing here. Breakfast all day too. You can't get a bad dish. Seriously. It's just the right recipe.
Tina
Great location downtown. Open early. Food was delicious. We walked in at 6am and the owner treated us like family and was happy to serve us. Could talk to the owner all day, great guy! Our breakfast was wonderful and arrived fast. Clean restaurant. We will be back when in town. Thank you.
Ross Thomson
Had breakfast. Very serviceable for that. The only complaint would be margarine on my toast, but otherwise omelette and coffee were decent. Service was good.
Jeannette DeCorpo
🗽Samari Cafe edifies the excellence of ethnic cuisine and family-owned hospitality!
As a guest to their restaurant, I was warmly greeted at the door and my seasoned server Dana (from Chicago) provided outstanding down-to-earth service with such kindness and professional skill (no rushing me to turn her table like down the street at over-priced 1st Watch Restaurant with very ill-mannered servers).
In these trying times, please TREAT YOURSELF to this authentically-ethnic SAMARIA CAFE! 🗽
Paul Miller
I love this place downtown Tampa! The staff are always friendly, prompt and courteous. It is clean, the food is delicious; try the Greek Salad w/potato salad for a delicious quick lunch! Breakfast, I usually get one of the fabulous omelets they make. The prices are very good too.
Christopher Hallissey
Samaria Cafe has the best eggs Benedict in Tampa hands down. I've been coming here for five years and it never disappoints. Our favorite server, Katie, always goes above and beyond to provide exceptional service. I will be back soon!
T B
Stumbled across this restaurant and the breakfast was good. I loved that we sat outside and ate, will definitely return when in Tampa again
Jesse J.
Had the steak and eggs. Service and coffee were good but the steak was kind of bland. Didn't seem to be seasoned at all. Nice place to hang out though. Owner/manager is super friendly.
JOST RULES
Great place. Had breakfast here. Food was fresh and didn't have to wait too long. My server Terry was excellent. He made my visit very enjoyable. Will come to this place again I recommend it.
Carlie Shaughnessy
Good prices. Nice small shop family owned feel. Great food! Home fries are seasoned wonderfully and the staff was very friendly. Stayed at “a loft” hotel down the road and it was in good walking distance. Highly recommend!
R S
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Big menu and big portions. The frittata is huge and full of veggies, meat and cheese. BLT was loaded with bacon. The owner was out talking to guests and a great guy. Will be our new place in downtown Tampa.
gary yamnitz
Consistently great food and great service!! My all time favorite is their bacon omelette. They serve your coffee in a decanter so you can have all the fresh coffee you want. As Mikey would say try it you will like it!
Debby Romero
Great food and the staff was amazing the only thing online the breakfast I ordered was $12.99 but paid $17.89 tax should have been about $0.97
Amy Junco
Random find when we wanted breakfast at lunch time in Tampa. Flourtine Eggs Benedict was delicious. The fruit cup is worth the extra charge as it is large and filled with bananas, melon, apples, strawberries and grapes. Fresh squeezed OJ is a nice touch and it's really good! The service was good, quick and the owner was friendly. Didn't have dessert this time, but they looked really yummy.
Christine W
So good! We were there on St Pat’s and it was busy as sin but totally worth the wait. Our server was great, the food was delicious, our smoothie and chai lattes were awesome. They give so much food that we felt terrible for wasting it because we couldn’t finish. We will definitely be back!
Chef Chrissie Lapidow
Oh my... Breakfast was delicious!!!! Friendly, family-owned restaurant - reminded us a lot of home (NJ/NY). They had no problem customizing our orders, providing healthier options, and the portions were quite generous. Absolutely loved this place!!
Johnathan Fuentes
Best baklava ever. As soon as you cut into it the juice comes out
Vivian Ireene Pierce
I had a problem with the lack of customer appreciation with the manager. I asked about the bill. She was rude and sarcastic to me about the charges. And even stated that she did not care if I ever came back.
Yes, I was extremely surprised with such a horrible attitude. Considering I have worked in a few restraints in my youth.
I wanted a side of French toast. instead of being educated by my waitress that there are no sides of anything or substations at this restaurant. I was charged 3 meals for barely anything. And the food was not that great to feel satisfied for what we had to pay.
I just wish my sugar haddn't dropped and we could have chose a better place, or had more time to look over the menu. I was about to pass out. our server dropped the ball by not letting me know how the pricing works. Then the manger was just one of the rudest people I have ever to come in contact with.
Denielle Ortiz
Found this gem with my friends on a trip to Tampa and we are so glad we found it. The food was delicious and the customer service was above and beyond expectations. The owner and all of the employees made sure that we were happy with everything and engaged us in conversation making us feel welcome and relaxed. I would go here again and I definitely recommend it.
Jennifer Hall
Under new ownership, things look a little different here but the food and service are great as always! The salads are large and fresh, and the fries are my absolute favorite in Tampa. I am picky about fries.
Dannielle German
I've been to several eateries in downtown and this is by far one of those stand out places. The service is fantastic, the food us delicious and it's a great spot to enjoy a meal. Will definitely be back again and again.
Christine Carstens
Ate lunch here yesterday; my husband and I split a Cuban sandwich (with yummy sweet potato fries) and a Greek salad (with a tasty dressing). Attentive staff, great food. Something for everyone on the menu--looks like breakfast is offered all day. Convenient down town location, within easy walk from Riverwalk/Straz Center.
Jamie Gallagher
This place was great!! We stumbled upon it while walking around downtown and decided to give it a shot and I was not disappointed! The menu had a lot of options and something for everyone. I got the philly with a side of chicken noodle soup and it was sooo delicious and filling. I will definitely be coming back anytime I’m in the area and highly recommend!!!
Michael Killoran
Great breakfast, staff very nice, service was great! Very reasonable and lots of food! Definitely will go there again!
Melanie Stewart
Servers are very friendly and we were seated quickly. Waited awhile for our food but it was Sunday afternoon and they were busy. Definitely worth the wait, no complaints. Highly recommend for breakfast!
Jenesa Vivas
Stopped in for breakfast during an overnight trip to Tampa. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was great! Place was family friendly. Nice, casual spot. Definitely would return!
Rachel Trav!s
I enjoyed the food, and the waiter provided excellent advice, and offered me an additional option to the maple syrup they generally serve along side their sweet potato wedges, (the side to my sandwich, as provided by my picture.) which was honey. I enjoyed them both, but perhaps you should go their and try those two different options out yourself, to decide. There are lots of various items on their menu to suit another's taste, or preference, while being in a quaint atmosphere, with employee's that are hospitable to their guests. The Samaria Cafe does close earlier than a late night restaurant, but the restaurant, Samaria Cafe, would be a great place for breakfast, lunch, brunch, or an earlier dinner; if you prefer to have dinner prior to 7:00pm-8:00pm in the evening. The Samaria Cafe also had amazing iced, salted caramel coffee, I indulged in myself; I know it is a little odd to have paired an iced coffee up with the sandwich I provided a photograph of, prior to consuming the delicious food in front of me, on the plate in which I was served my food, but it was fabulous tasting to me, either way.
Marlon Edwards
Samaria feels like a small town diner; the staff is personable and courteous.
I like the concept of being able to order breakfast all day. The omelettes and eggs Benedict are good/tasty and the servings are large.
I will definetely go back to sample some of the wraps, etc.
Marilyn Wattman-Feldman
By the time we reached Samaria Cafe, we were starving. We found it after leaving another location that was busy. noisy and did not offer weekday table service. From start to finish, we realized we had made the right decision to eat at this family owned restaurant. We were immediately asked if we wanted coffee. I liked that there were flavored coffee creamers available including Irish cream and French vaniella. I looked over the menu which had plenty of breakfast / brunch items to select. I chose the Eggs Benedict Florentine (without the Canadian bacon) and had a side of fresh fruit. The side item was larger than expected with fresh pineapple, cantaloupe, grapes, strawberries and banana. I shared this with my husband. My entree was prefectly prepared. He had a more traditional breakfast consisting of two scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. He enjoyed his meal, too. Our service was outstanding. Terry offered up options for us to consider and aswered every question we had. Another employee quickly provided us with an item we requested. As we neared the completion of our meal, a third member of the staff stopped by the table to ask us if we were enjoying our dining experience. I tried to find out if he was the owner, however, he had already moved onto another table to say hello. As we paid our bill, I told the hostess how pleased we were with our entire experience at Samaria Cafe. I would definitely return to the cafe the next time I visit Tampa.
Brandon Cathey
Been here more than two dozen times over the last several years. I love the breakfasts, I love the sandwiches, I love the salads. Fantastic value, fantastic quality. I've never once had a bad experience.
Pamela Schilling
Delicious breakfast! Amazing quiche and huge omelettes. Owner was very nice and appreciate the extra care he gave us. Will definitely go again when in Tampa.
T Kilmer
Haven't had a benedict that good since The Bakers Cafe in Chucktown. Great place, great atmosphere and a caring owner. Owner was out for a meet n greet and to check to ensure we were satisfied. Fantastic ! A must visit if you want a satisfying meal at a satisfying price. I will be back. Thank you !
Incredible !
Dreamer5009
I had an amazing meal at Samaria Cafe. I couldn't decide if I wanted to eat breakfast or lunch, and so asked the waitress if it would be possible to make an omelette-burger. They certainly delivered and it was delicious. I highly recommend this excellent restaurant!
carlos rodriguez
Great breakfast and great service!
Robert Meszaros
Lunch. A well priced, good quality, adequate quantity, and waitressed lunch. I'm returning every time I'm working downtown. I was very full and I had to sit at the counter, but I'm happy to get away from the lunch buffet, search for a clean seat $13 lunches. Now I can sit down, order, relax and eat.
Caitlin Kozel
Great food, great service. We had breakfast omelettes and they were delicious with good portions. Would love to come back and try lunch or dinner.
Mike Sussen
There are times I wish I lived closer to Tampa so I could come to Samaria Cafe more often. The food is perfect every time I am here, their prices are great, and the staff are very friendly and always so welcoming. Easily beats places like First watch any day.
debra bartolomey
Wonderful wait staff, great food. Cute decor
RG 33x
Everything was good, even the toast was better than average. I recommend the omelettes, big fluffy eggs stuffed full with whatever filling you choose. You definitely will not walk away hungry.
Rachel Worley
Great breakfast and service. Also, thank you for keeping us dry during the thunderstorm. Go Bolts ⚡️
Gary Webb
Love this place. I ordered burnt toast and eggs with runny yokes, not runny whites. Both were cooked to perfection! Fresh squeezed orange juice. I will defiantly be back!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone!
Paul Dlouhy
We found this awesome cafe and stopped in for breakfast. The service was very friendly and on point. The fruit was fresh and the omelet was lite and fluffy.
Mae Crooks
We decided to try this spot for a late breakfast. It was just ok. They were busy so the food was not hot when it reached the table. It was kind bland. This would not be my 1st or 2nd choice while in town.
Troy White
Good food and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Mandy Peters
This was a wonderful little hometown restaurant. We got the country Benedict which was wonderful but the home fries that came with it were AMAZING. Our waitress Tara was also amazing and very bubbly.
kristin fox
We stopped in for lunch while downtown and loved it. The food was hot and delicious and was ready fast. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
Pam Jones
We were in Tampa a day ahead of a cruise and stopped here for lunch with a family of 8. They set a table for all of us right away. Food was great and the owners were both friendly and stopped to chat with us.
Richard Osterude
Benedict egg and hash browns were delicious
Kathleen Schiop
Owner is very genial and welcoming. The breakfast was prepared just how I ordered it, and my server was very friendly as well. I have eaten here before, and when I'm downtown, will always head here for breakfast.
Bruce Pina
Staff was very friendly and food was very good! Coffee was great as well. The best breakfast place we have come across while in Tampa.
Krystal Turner
Food was great! Staff was so welcoming and the service was also great. This is a family friendly restaurant, the staff was very accommodating to us and our kiddos. Would recommend!!
Paige
This is our home away from home 💙 we absolutely love the owners and staff. Theyre super nice and welcoming. My husband, son and I frequent here often and get the country fried steak and eggs. Its delicious everytime! ☺ …
Ashley Shahan
In town from Missouri City, TX for our College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving 2017 Reunion, and stopped in to Samaria Cafe for a bite to eat. Our waitress was Tara and she gave FANTASTIC service. The food was DELISH! Hummus platter and gyro omelette was worth visiting again next time we're in Tampa! Great job Samaria Cafe!!
Jay
We were heading to First Watch, but walked by this place and decided to try it instead. Very glad we did. The service was great and the food was very fresh and wonderful. Huge slices of avacado and tomatoes in my omlette. Highly recommend.
D.Louise
Food was good and nice portions. My only complaint is the smell of a sour mop- I noticed once I went inside. (They provide a small outside eating area). Typically, that turns me away fast!
Misty Browne
Food was pretty expensive for the amount. Server was great. They do not seperate their shellfish from frying with other foods so if you have a shellfish allergy, beware.
j s
Their Benidicts are always good and the coffee is some of the best I have tasted. The service is outstanding and the owner is frequently the one greeting people as they enter. I have eaten here over 10 times and never had an issue.
DiMarie Lord
Ordered through Uber eats and the food was delicious! My boyfriend got the Philly sandwich and said it was fantastic and not soggy. I got an avocado omelette. It was great
Lindsey Carrick
Friendly staff at this local spot. Food was delicious with crispy fries and freshly made sandwiches. Large menu and breakfast served all day. Prices are pretty reasonable. Good tasting iced coffee.
Andrea Ferguson
Great family owned business. Excellent service and friendly staff. Had a great meal. And the restaurant is flamingo themed, which is obviously awesome.
Stephanie Ewell
I love Samaria cafe! By far the BEST thing I've had on thier menu is the Samaria salad. The other items are good, but NOTHING compares with that salad! I go with my coworkers a lot and we always have very friendly service, and the lady who owns it always finds us a seat quickly. Love, love, love this place.
Lucas Miller
Wonderful breakfast place! --we chanced upon Samaria Cafe while on the waitlist for First Watch (2 doors up) and are so pleased we did! What a great place! I had the Florentine-Benedict with fresh tomato and it was just right; my kids raved about the "fluffy omelettes!" --this is now my 11yr old's favorite breakfast place, so we will be back for sure. I just wish the owner would open a similar place in South Tampa, maybe around the corner of Westshore and El Prado... we'd be in every weekend for sure!
Mike Philley
I was in town on business and tired of over-priced coffee and breakfast everywhere else downtown. I was pleasantly surprised! Great food and service in a casual atmosphere. Highly recommended!
B Fuller
Food wasn't good at all. Bacon was extra crispy and pancakes taste like cake batter. The omelets aren't even omelets!! There eggs with vegetables on top. I would only recommend getig something small.
Jordan Hobbs
Service Service Service! The service was 2nd to none. The sidewalk seating is a nice touch and the food was incredible! French toast and turkey sausage were my favorites!
Connie Krapek
Great friendly place! Family friendly as well! I've only had breakfast there, but everything was good! It's nice and clean also.
Mike Carr
All day breakfast with a delicious eggs Benedict. Home fries are seasoned well but a bit mushy for my liking. Super friendly staff.
Michele A
One of Tampa's best breakfast places. The challah bread
french toast is absolutely delicious. The omelettes are big as are most of the portions. The servers are exceptionally friendly and attentive!
Yari Martir
Food was great and at a reasonable price... Love this place. Don't miss out and stop in to this location. Gyros and the Western Omelets on point at this establishment
George Maynard
Easily the best breakfast anywhere near the convention center. The staff was friendly, food was great, and portions we're generous. I had four breakfasts there during my six day stay!
Landria Pewitt
Absolutely amazing place! Staff is extremely nice and friendly and love to carry on conversation! The food is FANTASTIC and the portions are huge. You definitely get what you pay for!
Leah Fifield
Best Gyros I've had in a long long time. Wish their tzatziki was a bit more chunky though although it had great flavor. Very friendly service.
ken rabach
Great local Cafe for breakfast and lunch. Service is normally excellent. Food is always tasty. Not a chain. Husband wife owned and my managed
Russell Hicks
Excellent food. Tasted great. Service was impeccable!!! Friendly staff. Clean place to eat. Definitely go there if you are in town.
KJ Tucker
When the owner learned I needed gluten free, she stopped by to explain my frittatta was cooked in a separate pan. Excellent dish, great service, nice to see a family restaurant thriving.
Brandon Fouts
If this place had higher prices my rating would've been 1 star. McDonald's is better. I've had better salads from Wawa.
Julie Nelson
Casual and quick, Samaria offers downtown diners a wide variety of well cooked, large portioned meals. You will appreciate the energetic hospitality... the owner personally welcomed us. Service was good and I'm still thinking about that omellette...so large I could only eat half of it! Another visit brought a eggs benedict with homemade, from scratch hollandaise sauce, a rarity in the time of just add water 'sauces'.
Gabriella Martinez
I wish I could give it 10 stars! The place is AMAZING!!!! There were so many DELICIOUS options to choose from! I COULDN'T DECIDE WHAT TO EAT! The staff there were amazing as well! DEFINITELY will be coming back but with MORE people this time!
Christopher Ellis
Wonderful food and attentive service. I always enjoy being greeted by the owner of a business. Keep doing things the right way and enjoy continuing success. We will be back.
Tracey Roberts
Amazing gyro and potato salad....and I'm finicky about potato salad. Great staff too!!!
Shevaun Sullivan
Delicious food!! Friendly staff. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great breakfast!! Just sad we found it on our last day in Tampa.
Masaki Studios
Friendly staff! BUT!! ..... even better food!
Stephanie Johnson
Service was great. I had biscuits and gravy and would recommend it. Nice little home feel restaurant.
Jesse Harvey
Had eggs, ham and hash browns. Cooked as we ordered them and they tasted great. Service was polite and prompt.
Freddy Matthews
I love that they give you the whole coffee pot. They use fresh ingredients in all of their breakfast items and it is family owned. Definitely recommend out of all of the downtown breakfast locations.
Katie Erhardt
My fiancé and I had an amazing lunch here! The hollandaise sauce was perfect and my bravo sandwich was very tasty! 11/10 would recommend to anyone around!
Vincent Spano
Good good and relatively inexpensive at least for breakfast. I had the Grand slam which was good.
Derek Crager
Fatata. Good meal. Gnats though.
Kimberly VanBibber
Really good food! Huge portions! This place was great! The owner even came by to see how we were doing; it's a great place.
James Fiori
My wife and I come here atleast once a week with our son. Ever since he was only a few months old and now he's 2. Food is great, staff is friendly, will definitely be coming here until we physically can't move anymore.
Zheby Garcia
Awesome customer service and better food, we had crepes and beneddicts and they were delicious. Definitely be back.
Shaun
The food was really good and our waitress, Caitlyn, was amazing. Definitely reccomended for a casual bite. Might be my new go to when we're in the area.
Julia Struk
Came here while visiting Tampa. The staff was super nice and you have the option of whether to sit inside or outside. The food was phenomenal as well and super filling!
Hannah Williamson
Amazing food and great atmosphere. Our server was a little rushed and seemed to be rushing us through our meal but aside from that amazing service.
Sasha S
Very nice, inviting people and atmosphere. Fast and attentive service. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty! Will definitely return next time we visit Tampa.
Mandell Crump
They were accommodating and friendly! Food was pretty good. I will revisit
A Snyder
Excellent food and portions! Erica was a super sweet server. Definitely recommend if you like down home food and excellent coffee and service.
bdollar78
Service was fast and friendly. Prices were reasonable and portions were huge. Food could have used a little more seasoning but overall a good experience.
Bobbie Smith
I have been to Samaria on more than six occasions and less than a dozen. I have yet to have a bad dining experience. Whether I stay or get it to go, the food is always delicious. My favorite is the Country Benedict - but sometimes I get the benedict sauce instead of the country gravy as advertised. Don't get me wrong, the benedict sauce is amazing - but just a little too rich for first thing in the morning! Of sandwiches, their Monte Cristo is pretty darned good! Just make sure to order a side of the raspberry sauce to spread on your sandwich.

Not as great as I was expecting for a restaurant like this. I came here for lunch with a co-worker and got a chicken sandwich. It really wasn't anything special. The fries were good though. Service was ok.
