Very delicious breakfast for under 6$. Came out quick, food was super hot and fresh. The potato's "home fries" were not your typical breakfast side, these potatoes were soft and seasoned to perfection with tiny bits of crispy onion. The two textures were amazing together. Eggs came out amazing, usually when you get fried eggs and ask for over medium, you get eggs that are way too runny. But these were cooked just right, no runny whites and some of the yolk cooked but some still runny. Sausage was crispy and very tasty, went very well with the rest of the food. Last but not least the Cuban toast was excellent, toasted and very soft, warm and full of butter. My mom's omelette was full of veggies, and meat, and looked very yummy. I would definitely recommend coming here to get some breakfast or lunch 💕 authentic and great prices.

Not much to say here, 5 star Spanish restaurant, if you are looking for that type of Spanish food where it's like mom/abuela made it, this it. Not a commercial over the top spot. It's very humble family type vibe. Really good for a Spanish lunch fix or take home dinner fix. Not a sit down for a date type place, there's other higher scale ones for that vibe. Definitely worth the $9 or so you will spend on your meal for sure! 5 stars easy though, better than any Spanish restaurant on this level.

Excellent food. I have been coming to this restaurant for few years and I have seen how they keep this restaurant so clean it’s amazing. I recommend this place everyday. Staff treat you with the most respect. Love my Latin culture. Always which them continuous success. The BEST place in Tampa and maybe the only great place to eat safely. Other restaurants should follow their lead.

This place is truly a hidden gem. I've had their breakfast.. it's amazing. The cubans... amazing. Today I tried the beef stew & arroz con gandulez... I'm speechless. I ate my food so fast and forgot to take a picture.. the ladies are extremely friendly even if you don't speak Spanish. The prices are probably the most affordable for this type of food. The pernil was perfectly seasoned. I'm saying it now... this is the best Latin food you will find in Tampa. THE BEST.

Food was a bit on the cooler side, but still warm enough that it didn't need to be reheated. It was also kinda pricey for the portion size. Where they won me over was the taste, their carne guisa was flavorful and soft. They also offered a side of buttered bread with meals. Guy at the register was quick, friendly and polite. I gave them only 3 stars because it was 11am and that food should've been a bit warmer. I would go again if in the area.

Small place with great food. It's cafeteria style and they dish up good-sized portions for you. I had their wonderful Spanish beef stew today. Big chunks of tender beef, potatoes and carrots and great stew gravy. With yellow rice and black beans, it was great comfort food. Friendly folks serving real good food at fair prices.

Rice w/Pork(smaller portion of rice)with Black beans 9.25 ... Yuca in Medium size container 2.25 ... this one gets me>Mojo small size container 2.50(more expensive then the Yuca) .... I use to get charged 1.50 for Mojo and I do understand the increase on everything but not 2.50 for mojo .... and Cuban bread I use to get 2 pieces cut in half, today I got 1 piece cut in half. Even if prices have gone up, portions should stay the same, not increase prices and serve smaller portions. But I must say food is still delicious. Is Mambo under new management?

I've been coming here for years. The staff here have practically watched my children grow up. The food is amazing as always. Fantastic food made by amazing and such sweet people. We love them all. Today we went in and it was not as busy and they were all so happy and were really fast at getting our boxes together. I promise you'd not be disappointed if you stop by and eat there!

We have been returning here for over 15 years. Quick and easy. Saturday Brunch. Not too busy. Clean. Masks required. Social distancing recommended. No outside seating. Bilingual. Friendly service. First time in and I love it! This is a cafeteria style place where you can see all the delicious food laid out. Take your pick. I have chicken with rice and beans and it did not disappoint. I'll definitely be back. The price is super reasonable as well as I had a massive meal for under 10 bucks.

A respectable menu, friendly (slightly disorganized) service and a Cuban sandwich with quality ingredients, but not enough of them to balance the bread. They also charged extra for lettuce and tomato but we didn't know that when we ordered. We stopped in for a quick bite and the wait was close to 15 minutes for a single takeaway sandwich. We were late for our next appointment. The atmosphere was cozy but the location is a bit awkward. It wasn't that busy, but the crowd was nicely diverse and you could tell who the regulars were. The food was fresh but took a long time to prepare and the sandwich was very bread heavy. It was also kind of bland. They could do with better systems to improve ordering and cook times but the family-run vibe was pleasant.

Great Spanish food at very low prices. The people are very nice, and the food is all juicy and flavorful. My favorite is the roast pork, mainly because they have the pig right there and they literally will cut you off a piece of the super crispy skin if you ask them. Don't leave without getting a cafe con leche. It's not super fancy, and served cafeteria-style, but that's what gives you that hidden gem feel. Love it.

The ABSOLUTE BEST, hands down, puerco asada in the Tampa Bay area. Service is good (better if you speak Spanish, but they are not rude or dismissive if you don't), and if you become a regular, they will remember you. I've been patronizing this business for around 4 years, and we go through fluctuations where we will eat there every week and sometimes multiple weekends a month, or we'll eat there once a month or every other month. As soon as I walk in, they know exactly what I want and they're very nice and welcoming. The only negatives I would say are that they don't have an online presence and they occasionally run out of things. If you want the crispy skin, you have to show up early. I know if I wait til noon, there's a strong chance there won't be any.

I go by here everytime I'm close by and sometime we go way out of our way to get here, it's really that good. Always have the same thing; pulled pork and beans/rice. Most of the time once I'm done with my meal I grab an entire meal to go, that's just how good it is. Love this place! Now it's 2020 I still can't get over how much I love this food. Thank you for all you do Mombos Cafe! Still the best!

This is hands down the best Spanish food experience in the entire world. You will never find a better restaurant even if you go to the edges of the entire galaxy. Whether you come to Mambos for breakfast or lunch, you will not be disappointed. The food is delicious and very affordable. I would recommend the BEC (bacon, egg and cheese), it’s a great breakfast sandwich. The staff is super friendly and inviting. If you’re nearby and hungry, stop by Mambos!!! (Trust me, you won’t regret it.)

The food is good but the lady seem a bit stingy with the meat esp if you are paying for $7-$8 plate u should have enough meat that constitutes the rice. So, its really not worth it regarding how much meat they give you for the price.

The establishment is pretty run down. It's definitely the epitome of a hole in the wall. The prices are really good, but I wasn't at all impressed with the food. To be fair, I decided to try the Cuban sandwich, at a Spanish restaraunt. Maybe if I'd gone with something more traditional it would have been good. They had a fair amount of customers coming and going. I just didn't like the pork on the sandwich. It was kind of dry and pretty tasteless, but the bread and the rest of it were good.

They have a nice variety of Spanish food. Pork, chicken, beef & an usually three different types of rice & beans. They also have daily Mofongo. This is a fast service dinning, so if your in a hurry and want to eat a quick lunch this is an ideal place. This is not a fancy dinning experience by all means so no reservations needed. I eat lunch at this place once every 2 months.

I stop here for a Cuban espresso and to my surprise they already had lunch menu open at 9:45am,which made me really happy so I order the pollo al orno with yellow rice and garbanzo soup to-go. When got a hair cut and 3 hrs later the food is still delicious chicken is really soft the rice has just the right seasoning and I'm just so satisfied I had to give them 5 stars🙌🏽🙌🏽 good job guys and keep this flavors going🤤🤤🤤

It’s not the best Spanish restaurant I’ve been to. The food is just okay. I went around 2 and they were out of plantains. It was disappointing but I had yuka instead. The yuka was okay but just don’t expect much. The portions are large though.

Mambos cafe is my favoriet lunch spot. Every time i am on that side of town i eat there and the staff know me when i walk in. sometimes i can be intimidated to eat at Spanish restaurants because i dont speak Spanish fluently; but the staff here are all completely bilingual; so dont let that stop you from having an amazing authentic Spanish meal. They aro closed for dinner though (hoping that will change?)
