Not only is the food great - the staff was spectacular too! Even the chef came out to say hello to us and to ask how the dinner was. Total culinary experience if I might say! It helps that La Terrazza is not a huge place. It makes way for a more intimate setting. The noise is greatly reduced too. Have I discussed about the food? That salmon was to die for!

OUTSTANDING service, EXCEPTIONAL cuisine. Everything was very fresh! The Authentic Italian accents and atmosphere made me feel as though I was in Italy. The tortellini was hand made, you can tell by how yellow the pasta is and how firm it was. Seafood very fresh. The portion sizes are JUST RIGHT, not too much to over fill you, because believe me when I say you won’t want to stop eating this food! Cappuccino’s are delicious as well! Thank you for making my birthday so special and treating me as if I was a celebrity La Terrazza!

Smacking myself that I've never been. Rotating menu of Italian favorites with a very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Parking is not an issue if you know where to look. Reservations via phone are strongly recommended for larger parties, seating is more cozy.

What a wonderful little surprise! There's something special about the Ybor city experience, but this little gem is the cherry on top. The menu is si.ole but exquisite. The staff are authentic, warm, and caring. The ambience is warm and immersive. And the food is fantastic without question. If you are looking for classic European dining in the greater Tampa area, this is a must experience delight!

Fantastic! Met some old friends in Tampa and they suggested LaTerrazza. I had pasta and fresh mushrooms, so delicious! We also shared the antipasto - delicious! Service was great! Attentive and friendly. Had raspberry cheesecake for dessert. DELICIOUS! Go! You won't be disappointed!

Perfecto! 🤌 We are regulars here after having the perfect dining experience over and over again. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh pastas and seafood, Northern Italian cuisine. Honestly, compared to other similar restaurants, La Terrazza is better and more affordable (bonus) than everywhere else we've visited in the area. It is small and quaint and cozy inside and they offer a great wine list, I'd suggest making a reservation. Luigi and crew always make us feel like family and we always leave having had the most wonderful night out.

My husband and I are visiting overnight in Tampa. We just came from having dinner at La Terrazza Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff couldn’t be nicer. The owner Luigi checked on us several times to see how our dinner was. I highly recommend! It was not overpriced either.

The only downfall of this restaurant is that there was only 1 server. He is an Italian man and has a heart of gold! This restaurant is a 10/10. Everyone in our party loved their meal. They even made gluten free noodles for my sister. Highly recommend the vodka sauce.

Small-ish restaurant along the main strip in historic Ybor City. Comfortable setting. The owner greeted us and all the wait staff seemed to take turns helping us throughout the evening. The food and service was outstanding. We had a pesto linguini and a ravioli dish - both were very flavorful and delicious. We also had a nice arugula salad before the pasta which was done very nicely. The house wines were good quality table wines. Definitely will return.

So good! The owner was lovely, honestly so nice and excited to have you. The place is small so make sure you have a reservation because it fills up fast. The whole staff is nice and the youngest server is hilarious. I got the ravioli and it was so so good! The chicken parmigiana was delicious as well. We shared the ricotta cheesecake and all I have to say is try it! Great place overall, we cannot wait to come back and try more dishes!

The only disappointments were the bread (tasteless & old) & butter (rock hard - unspreadable) & the Appetizer - Bruschetta (needed onion & balsamic vinegar). I cannot say enough good things about this special place. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the home made ravioli agnolotti di aragosta e granchio: lobster and crab stuffed with a light cream sauce, topped with shrimp and asparagus. Literally the best ravioli I have ever had. The canolis were amazing also. The staff is the friendliest I've encountered in years. A true, heart warming, family restaurant, they really make you feel right at home. Outstanding service, attentive, kind, and caring. I could not be more pleased with our experience and truly treasure this hidden gem. Ciao!!!

We are glad we temporarily overcame our aversion to visiting Ybor to dine here. What a jewel of a place. Service is top notch and the food was excellent. We arrived just before the dinner rush on a Saturday. I'm glad we had made reservations for the three of us. There is seating for around 44 or so guests. The place was about 30% full when we arrived and maxed out shortly thereafter. We had as appetizers Proscuitto E Formaggio and Bruschetta Rustica. The former was a bullseye in all aspects. However the latter was toasted too much for the bread shattered when eaten causing somewhat of a bigger mess than it is to start with. A warm loaf of sliced bread (wrapped in linen to keep it warm) is served with pats of real butter. This comes automatically to your table. A nice selection of wine either by the glass or by the bottle is available. We opted for the by the glass. We chose Scaloppine Piccata, Spaghetti Ai Fruitti Di Mare and an off menu item of fresh pasta with pesto and Italian sausage. IMHO the seasonings were very good, none were overcooked and all brought to the table steaming hot. Wonderful! For dessert we chose one tiramisu to share. It was moist without being soggy and it was tasty. We prefer more coffee in the flavoring though. So go early for lunch or dinner before the Ybor freak show, bars and bikers go into overdrive and make reservations. You will be glad you dined there.

Their food here in authentic Italian food and it was absolutely delicious! I had the crab and lobster stuffed ravioli and I cannot say enough good things about it. Highly recommend experiencing this place. The restaurant is pretty small , so it's recommended to make a reservation here because it can be really busy on the weekends in this area.

Delicious, quaint, romantic Italian restaurant located on the popular 7th Avenue in Ybor city. This is authentic Italian food. It's a very beautiful place but not too large making it more intimate. It's closed Sunday and Mondays but open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday. They have a great wine list and great variety on their menu. We started with the Caprese salad, I had the Scaloppine alla Ortolana: Veal scaloppine topped with eggplant mozzarella garnish with sweet red pepper, light tomato oregano sauce. It was delicious, the veal was nice and tender, the sauce was creamy but not overpowering. Our server combo (they worked as a team) were wonderful, gave great recommendations for food. You can also bring your own bottle of wine for a small corkage fee. Best to sit by the window and people watch out onto 7th Avenue. This is a great little gem in the heart of Ybor. There's limited street parking but also a pay lot behind the restaurant or the garage is nearby. I'll definitely be back, there are at least 4 more things I want to try on the menu and I was too full to try their dessert this time.

There were four of us we all had something different your wine list is very nice everybody was more than happy with what they had the service was more than excellent the maitre d there was very friendly and very helpful and very Italian the prices were reasonable the thing I liked about at the most it's not a big loud restaurant restaurants reasonably small which makes it very intimate. Authentic and Friendly Italian Food - In addition to Cubans, Italians immigrants came to Ybor City and Terrazza is a throwback to the small Italian restaurant. The antipasto meat & cheese plate was good, especially the olives. The portobella tortellini special was excellent – rich creamy sauce. Tiramisu was more cake-like than the usual milky version, but had very good flavor. The maître d was very friendly and quickly replaced a dish that did not suit my wife – a very generous gesture that will have us coming back. A side benefit: take a table next to the windows – the people and motor vehicle parade watching is great.

Thank you, Luigi, for allowing us the experience of your restaurant. We walked in on a busy Saturday night and Luigi found a place for us to sit by the window. From the house salad to the frutii de mare and the veal scaloppini everything was just wonderful. Homemade with love and care. Our server, Farrah, made us feel at home after a 9 hour drive from Atlanta (traffic was horrendous). Thank you for allowing us such a beautiful dining experience tonight. Truly one of the best hole in the walls I have ever been to, especially outside my comfort zone. A very warm and inviting interior greets you as you enter and although the space is on the small side the chairs and tables are adequately situated so that you do not feel overly cramped or on top of other patrons (keep in mind it is a small location. The decorations definitely give you a feeling of dining in a small Italian village café. The food was superb! I enjoyed my entrée of "Frutti Di Mare" (Seafood pasta) The shrimp, clams, mussels and scallops were all cooked well and tasted fabulous. My wife's entrée ("Melanzane ") was delicious as well. The service was friendly, prompt, courteous and professional. This restaurant has been in Ybor for at least 20 years and I can see why it still flourishes, great Italian food in a fantastic dining atmosphere.

Excellent, authentic Italian in Tampa - a real gem. Local hotspot with very few tables so make sure to get a reservation. Reasonably priced entrees and excellent wine list. The owner treats you like family. Don’t skip the bruschetta and veal Marsala. Great pastas as well.

I took my wife on a date last night to this restaurant. We were very impressed. Our appetizer was bruschetta. It was very good. Next was a side salad. Nice greens! Extremely fresh! Good wine choices. My entree was chicken piccata. I enjoyed the delicate lemon sauce with capers on it. Nicely done. My wife had the linguine with shrimp and scallops in a white wine sauce. Nicely done! Delicate! Not overbearing with butter. For dessert we shared the riccata cheesecake. Wow! Simply delicious 😋. You can tell this establishment takes pride in their food. If you haven't been there - GO! Reservations highly recommended on Saturday evening. You may be turned away without them. Also, this is not an in and out restaurant. You'll be spending some time here if you do all of the courses. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody that enjoys real Italian food.

I can’t gush enough about this gem. The food was delicious, I ordered the chicken parm and my husband had the seafood pasta in red sauce. We never get out and this was the perfect date spot, I loved the atmosphere and the food was worth the visit. Luigi is a BOSS, he waited on us, took calls, brought great wine, and was just an all-around amazing person. I was surprised when the bill came because it was half of what I was expecting. If you need to feel better about everything life throws at you, just make reservations, order some wine and let Luigi take care of you.

I made a reservation and was glad I did. This place is small but the ambiance is wonderful. We sat at a table for 2 in the front window. Dinner was very good and we were not rushed in anyway. The roasted veggie appetizer was presented beautifully and tasted so fresh. We both had pasta and were happy with both of our portions. Dinner with a bottle of wine and tip ran us $150. We've already made reservation for our next dinner and we're taking friends!

One of my favorite Italian restaurants. The people are nice, just like the food. I love the Chicken Livornese (the capers are a big plus sign). The Chef makes different dishes beyond what the menu says. The restaurant is small, quaint, and a nice place to enjoy the company of others. Please try the food if you can! It is definitely worth your stop!

This food was so delicious! The man running things there was a wonderful character! He was so warm and friendly. He was also able to help out with special request such as gluten free, and vegetarian meals. This area nearby was also very interesting to see. The Cuban history was a joy to learn about. We stayed here before our Carnival cruise. It was a convenient location, with the port being very nearby. I will hope to visit this area and especially this restaurant again soon.

This was hands down the most fresh Italian food I have ever had. The vegetables and herbs tasted as if they were hand picked from a garden in the back. The appetizer and main course were mouth watering delicious. When we come back, we will most definitely eat here again. Kudos to these wonderful people. Saturday, 4/21: THE ATMOSPHERE. The young crowded the streets (costumed and drunk) and choked the sidewalks as music blared and motorcycles screamed up and down Seventh Avenue. Just another Saturday night in downtown Ybor City. We were a band of four elders, the oldest will be 101 this June, all of us still somewhat sprightly. But the noise was at times deafening. And to some of us Dunedinites, not used to it, a bit frightening. It was truly reminiscent of Mardi Gras, minus the beads. THE RESTAURANT. It's tiny, with limited tables. Service was most accommodating, comparable to a tiny, local bistro in Italy and in that regard -- it's the real deal -- from owner to staff. The food was excellent! My veal piccata was as tender as it gets (and veal is always the ultimate test for me) with just the right amount of lemon and capers. We had a well proportioned and nicely arranged antipasti appetizer of red peppers, Italian ham, mushrooms, provolone, and more. Others had a plentiful dish of pasta Bolognese which looked scrumptious or the huge lobster dishes. With our first bites there was little talking and lots of eating. THE BILL. For seven of us it was $229 plus tip which included wine in a steady, healthy pour. Extremely reasonable. OVERALL. Had it not been for the continuous, disruptive racket outside, I would've given them five stars. The outdoor accompaniment did cause some of us a precursor to indigestion. Not from the food. That was outstanding.

Incredible food, staff, and experience. My wife and I are relatively new to the area, and haven't had a chance to explore many of the restaurants yet. We decided to check out La Terrazza, and after the experience we had, we will be coming back frequently. We called on a Saturday night to see if it was possible to make a reservation, and the the hostess Kelly was incredibly warm and accommodating, helping us to reserve a table on such a busy night. I can't remember our waitress's name, but she was incredibly friendly and gracious, and we talked to her about she grew up in Naples, Italy and about our lives. The food was incredible, and we loved the cozy space and family feel of the restaurant. Our waitress even brought us a complimentary little small glass of wine at the end of the meal. When we left, Kelly was there to thank us and wish us off, and our waitress gave us a big hug before we left. It's a shame that Olive Garden already adopted the term "When you're here, you're family" a few years ago, because that's the best description I could give to a place like this.

We had an amazing meal and a great time for our friend's birthday yesterday (8/2/18). Our server Sunny was excellent and so was our food! Everyone's service was great - we had a few other servers who assisted our party, but I did not catch their names. I saw the manager/owner closely keeping an eye on everything and laughing along with us. Really lovely atmosphere thanks to the staff and the food was perfect. You can really taste the care that goes into the ngredients and preparation. My pasta was perfectly cooked and the ham was fantastic - thinly sliced, sweet, and perfectly salty. Thank you so much to La Terrazza, looking forward to the next time!

Probably the best restaurant in Ybor City that is if you are looking for real healthy food that taste good. If you are looking for bar food or something regular that comes from a food truck delivery this is not the place for you. Food is fresh and delicious. The restaurant offers gluten free pasta option which is a big plus for me. It is a small place and can get busy but the owners are very friendly and always try to accommodate. La Terrazza is real deal and well worth the price!

We ate in this quaint restaurant last night. The salad was so fresh, yummy bread and the pastas were terrific! My personal favorites were the rusticate penne and the peato. Service was wonderful and the Piedmont wine for about $60 bottle absolutely the perfect compliment to the pastas. We stayed near the convention center and took the trolley over at the valet’s recommendation and we are so glad we did - highly recommend this restaurant!!!

The salad was so fresh, yummy bread and the pastas were terrific! The fruta de mare with spaghetti was spot on. My penne with sweet sausage had as good a red sauce as I have experienced in a long time. We walk in and it's very small. We went on a Saturday night and surprisingly it wasn't full. La Terrazza is a quaint Italian eatery located in the heart of Ybor city. When you walk in you are immediately greeted by the owner who will seat you, make recommendations, take your order, offer dessert, and deliver your bill. His waitstaff usually pours drinks and delivers food to the table. I eat here at least once a month, and I've never had a bad meal. My favorites though are the Caprese to start and either Scaloppine Piccatta and Fiocchetti di Formaggio for dinner. Prices are reasonable and all the pasta is handmade. After reading some of the negative reviews I'd like to point out that one of the highlights of this restaurant is its cozy, intimate vibe. The owner intentionally keeps tables to a minimum in order to give each customer quality, personalized service. My boyfriend and I frequent here so often, the owner knows us by name, and if they're overbooked he'll usually find a way to squeeze us in. Typically though as long as we make a reservation 3-4 days in advance there is no problem ensuring we have a table. For larger parties, I'd make reservations 2 weeks in advance.

Amazing service. Awesome food! The frutti di mare dish was amazing. such flavorful shrimp and scallops and clams! Staff are super friendly and really awesome with our kids. Won't hesitate to come back next time we're in this area. One example, at the table next to us, they had a newborn baby, and they asked if there was a changing table in the restroom. The staff said no, but they then took 2 dining chairs and set them inside the men's room in the open space to serve as a diaper changing spot. Not every day you see staff that will make extra effort so quickly.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here before heading to a concert at the Ritz down the road. The restaurant itself is very small but the food is very authentic. The pasta is all made fresh and house along with the sauces. I opted for the penne vodka which was outstanding and my spouse ordered a seafood pasta dish which he also enjoyed.

Fantastic family owned restaurant in the heart of Ybor. The place is is small, but cozy and inviting. The menu offers an array of classic Italian dishes as well as daily specials. Everything we ordered (veal scallopine, penne alla vodka, antipasto vegetale) was fresh and abundant with flavor. We'll definitely be returning. Given that seating is limited I would recommend making a reservation beforehand.

You can flavor the fresh ingredients & balanced seasonings. My pasta was cooked perfectly al denté. My wife’s thinly sliced veal was beautifully tender & topped with eggplant + mozzarella, with a light tomato sauce. Side of scalloped potato was outstanding in flavor & tenderness. La Terrazza was recommended to us by the bartender at an establishment up the road. She described it as a hidden gem. We took her up on the suggestion and went for dinner. The window plastered with trip advisor awards suggested it was not so hidden as we were led to believe. The restaurant is very very small and we sat in the window nook at a two top next to another two top. It was a good thing we aren't stranger averted, we were practically on top of them! But the waitress was great, making light of our closeness and while we couldn't have a very private conversation we all made it work. My husband ordered the Penne Rustica and I ordered the Fiocchetti de Fromaggio. The prices were very reasonable and both dishes were exceptional. The manager was very attentive as well and we were well attended by the entire staff. I only wish this restaurant were closer to Sarasota, so we could go more often. If we are up in the Tampa area, we will be back.

Almost everything was excellent. Were it not for the brushcetta, I would give 5 stars, but it simply felt incomplete. Perhaps this is due to my American sensibilities, but instead of what I expected, I got some delicious bread with very large chopped tomatoes and some oil drizzled on it. The basil was while leaves. Relatively small (about 10 tables), this restaurant uses their limited menu and gracious service into a "real Italian experience". Let Luigi the Waiter guide you through your experience. The wine list (even by the glass) is excellent. And the food...well..it's "Delicioso"!!!! And just when you thought your were through....of course...cheesecake, cannoli and a great cappucino. Small-ish restaurant along the main strip in historic Ybor City. Comfortable setting. The owner greeted us and all the wait staff seemed to take turns helping us throughout the evening. The food and service was outstanding. We had a pesto linguini and a ravioli dish - both were very flavorful and delicious. We also had a nice arugula salad before the pasta which was done very nicely. The house wines were good quality table wines. Definitely will return.

It's a beautiful restaurant that feels comfortable and homey. I came in with a group of three without a reservation and the owner was kind enough to fit us in. All of the employees were very sweet and the service was excellent. Our group ordered the Antipasto Vegetale, Bruschetta, and Chicken Parmesan, and everything was excellent. We will definitely be back, this time with a reservation, and try more of the entrees.
