We visited this restaurant on a whim because we were in the area and it was an excellent choice. We didn’t have high expectations, so we were pleasantly surprised by the great service and delicious food. We ordered a French onion soup to start and it was hot and flavorful. This place is also known for its prime rib, so we ordered the queen size, which came with two sides. The prime rib was so juicy and tender, and it was sizeable. While the place was busy for a Saturday evening, our service (Tiffani) was still excellent. We will definitely be back again!

Excellent place, excellent people, excellent food! My wife is a big fan of French onion soup and this got her 👍. I had the crab soup in a bread bowl and the Jesse's special. It was amazing! Delicious soup and filling! I had to get a to go box for what I couldn't finish of the Special. And then I hear about bananas foster when there's no room left. We will be back.

It's always nice to find a place that has a sense of nostalgia, a throw back to a time when the cares of the world didn't seem so...well, bad. Jesse's has that slightly old school steakhouse vibe. Dim the lights, no noisy bustle of the serving crew "yee-hawing" around the joint. Couple of TV's and the omnipresent aquarium set that last century vibe perfectly. We've been here a few times, but just seemed to never get around to writing the review. This trip was to celebrate by birthday from last week. Luckily for me, one of the daily specials was a 12 ounce cut of Prime Rib. I like mine medium rare, and that is exactly what I got. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and accompanied by the Au-jus on plate with sauteed mushrooms and horseradish sauce that is light and doesn't over power the meat. Of course, a prime rib meal has to have a Caesar, a baked tater, and fresh bread, in my opinion. I remember (from many years ago) go to these types of steak places and always getting an old school Manhattan on the rocks versus the traditional, albeit classier, straight up version. Jesse's happy hour special is a two-for-one on all cocktails. You can have that served as a "double" option, which I did. Colleen opted for the Icelandic Cod, blackened. Nice size serving and green beans for her side. Fish was cooked to 100% perfection. The blackening spice was maybe a bit too light, and did leave each bite just a little bland. Service has always been spot on and friendly, and Sam was without exception today. The lady (I assume the manager) who had to address the cantankerous, and just plain rude, elderly man about his seating preference and his flippant comments about how much money he was going to spend, handled the situation perfectly and peace was quickly restored. Great place and great meals.

Local steakhouse serving the community for more than 40 years and counting. Service is very friendly and the atmosphere is what you expect from a local steakhouse. Their best selling dish and most famous menu dish is the prime rib. Their prime rib sizes are queen and king cut. The queen cut is bigger than you expect, the quality of their cut is better than any fancy steakhouse.

We were told 30 minutes for the wait but it was only 20. We got the chili and split it, was really good. We got a filet mignon and prime rib...sooo good! Waitress was great and the food came out in a timely manner. Had a wonderful view. We're from PA and when we come back we'll definitely stop in again.

The BEST Steak in all of Florida I swear. The portions are huge, and they provide you many sides with the meal. My Mom has been going here for years with our family, and now it's my new tradition as well. <3 Can't wait to go back!

This place was recommended. It appears to be a local family run restaurant. The service was awesome, friendly, and timely. It was busy but not crowded. The charbroiled Prime Rib is a definite must have and the Blackened Cod was flavorful and perfectly cooked and the sauce drizzled on top was a perfect match.

This place is always excellent! I have been here about 6 times over the years because I don't live very close. If you know anyone looking for a great local place for prime rib Jesse's is the place. I had family in from Chicago and Tucson so along with them we took our 101 year old Aunt. They all loved the food and service. We either had prime rib or the cod, very delicious. I tried the charbroil prime rib for the first time and it took did not disappoint. Here's a tip if you go get there before 5p or you will wait for a table for 30 to 45 minutes. They also have a happy hour with 2 for 1. The bartender who was working the little bar was a hoot. Our Aunt loved him. Our waitress was spot on, we had 7 of us and we never wanted for anything and she was very busy. Jesse's is definitely my go to place in the Brandon area.

It was pretty good. Will definitely have to go back again to try some more of the menu. I had the crab bisque which was phenomenal. So much flavor and meat in it. Top notch. But I got the steak Oscar and it was definitely over cooked and dry for a medium rare more like medium well . But the sauce cheese and asparagus were great. Crispy fries on the side too. My mother got the filet mignon. Done perfect. However the fried shrimp added on were very bland and disappointing. But will be back for sure!

We visit regularly and are treated like we are so important to them. We encountered a difficult set of guest that cussed out children (employees of Jessie’s). I was so heartbroken. These children handled as best as they could. I’m a mom and as someone who is a momma, your heart breaks for them. I hugged each girl. Because that is what you do when your babies are hurting. They may not have been mine, but my feelings for what they had endure was so unfair and tore me up inside for them. The manager handled it with fitness and professionalism. I know one of them was brand new and the other one was just a little older. That place is great to eat at and enjoy but these guests (who have anger issues) should say away from family restaurants. It was Sunday. A day of worship and a day of rest. The next time you go out, please remember your host, hostess, waitress and waiters. Please remember to thank them for the hard work they do. We always do our best to be understanding when situations arise. We love Jessie’s. We did not like the way the atmosphere changed due to the language and threats to beat up a child. We’ve been going there since I was pregnant (20 years ago). These kids that go out and get jobs are not lazy. They are hard working. Thank you Jessie’s for being so kind to us your costumers, for giving these wonderful kids a great start in the workforce. We support you!

I have seen this place many times when passing by, but never thought much about it. But I read a review and decided to try it. It's a little pricey for me, so I've only gone for the lunch specials. The $15 prime rib lunch special is the bomb! Very tender and juicy. You get mushrooms and horseradish sauce and a choice of 1 side to include a baked potato even during the day. Prime rib is very flavorful and juicy. The only negative I have to say is that the service is not great. They are nice enough, but, they don't tell you about the drink specials and both times I've been there, they DO NOT come back for refills or to see if you want another cocktail. They have 2 for 1 well drink's, but don't tell you that at all. The atmosphere reminds me of a dark German bar. Overall, I do recommend for a good prime rib. Just ignore the lacking service.

Jesse's is a local staple restaurant that offers consistent quality food and service. Their prime rib "au jou" is fantastic every time I get it representing the pinnacle of a tender steak. Staff always greets me kindly and makes sure I feel at home. Lunch prices are phenomenal and I'll likely come by more often as a result. Dinner prices are competitive to other restaurants but for the quality of food it's definitely worth it. Highly recommend visiting this historic establishment!

This is our first experience at this Yelp find and wow! This is really a nice place. Had we not read reviews prior, we might have just driven by. The building on the outside a pretty dated but the service is great and the food is really really good. We ordered crab stuffed mushrooms $10.50 as appetizer, and entrees were Coconut Shrimp with a side of fries $19.95, Chicken Santa Barbara $$17.50 (grilled chicken with Greek seasoning, onions, bell pepper, mushrooms and Swiss cheese and a side of green beans) & the Jesse’s Special $13.50 (bunless chargrilled burger with mushrooms, bacon, grilled onions all under shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes and ranch dressing). The crab stuffed mushrooms were nice with small mushrooms but a healthy portion of crab in each. The coconut shrimp were excellent and probably the best I’ve had. They were lightly breaded and heavy on the coconut. The chicken was flavorful and tasty. Our server was Bill and he was friendly and perfectly attentive. This is well worth coming back fir and we recommend it. I seldom give 5 stars.

Even though Jesse’s has been a Brandon staple for years, it has been quite a while since we have dined here. After waiting a short while, we were seated and our server was Raj. He was the absolute best! Excellent service, very friendly, and helpful with the menu. The steaks were of course delicious, as was everything else. Can’t believe it’s been so long since we’ve been here, but we will definitely be back soon!

Truly a gem of a place. Good prices, nice family ambiance, & very very tasty & delicious food. Not disappointing at all. I had the 8 ounce filet mignon meal, my wife had the shrimp dinner, & friends had the fish plate & king size prime rib. We tasted each other's plate & all were amazing. Sam was our waiter & he was terrific. I asked him to let the cooks know that they did a fantastic job. This is your place to go to discover great food. We will definitely go back again.

I enjoyed my salad but will likely do take out if I return. Seated at 6:35 food arrived at 8:05. Drinks sat empty for a very long time. Another table complained & the manager said our server was new. Absolutely shouldn't have been by himself on a Friday night then. It was unfair to the new server who obviously needed more shadow time & guests looking for a nice dining experience.

Jesse’s has been one of my favorites since the first time I went. But the last time I went, I had such an incredible server! Her name on the receipt is Lisa Ann. Unlike most servers these days who play this game of drop and run, she took the few seconds it takes to make sure everything was correct and to my liking. And she came back periodically to make sure I was ok. She was personable which is something I never see anymore from servers and has a good sense of humor. I wish there were more like her. She’s a gem!

Been eating here for three years. Best prime rib in the area. Also, the homemade soups are delicious! Can't beat the prime rib special for $20 Servers are all pleasant and very attentive. Can get crowded early.

It was ok? Things had a lot of good flavor. HOWEVER…. French onion soup was extremely salty, Broccoli was over cooked, green beans were cold, and the seafood sauce on the Long Beach Cod was just the crab bisque poured over the grilled fish, which if you ask me is just extremely lazy. I know this because I ordered the crab bisque. Wife enjoyed the prime rib. Giving this a 3 star to more accurately reflect the quality and the potential.

The parking lot is usually full. When I went it was also. I was told there'd be a 15 - 20 minute wait for a table. I was offered to wait in the bar area where I went as suggested. The bartender was busy and wasn't able to serve me before a table was avaliable; around 10 minutes. I was taken by the hostess to a table for 2 at the farthest south west corner and given a menu. A polite waiter came after around 10 minutes at the table. I ordered sussinctly. He brought the water and Crown & Coke fairly quickly. My "date" arrived and ordered nachos. The nice salad came soon after. I was glad the loud patrons seated nearby were leaving. The fried fish meal was presented just before finishing my salad with generous portions prepared and presented as ordered. The nachos were huge; enough for a to go box. The waiter checked several times and was tipped appropriately. We went outside for a cigarette with cocktails as they closed. Had a wonderful time after closing on a bench. A good experience over all despite tolleranle delays. Yes - if you're not rushed try Jessie's !

Four stars because our server was incredibly sweet but the food alone is mayyyybe three stars. I hadn’t been here in a few years & was disappointed with the quality of the food. Thank god our waitress brought salt & pepper to the table because daaaamn that steak needed it. It was an ok steak overall. I didn’t get a picture of the baked crab soup, but that was what I was looking forward to most, only to be let down. Not much flavor to it & not at all what I remembered. SOOO DELICIOUS! This place is amazing and all the recommendations I have received to go to Jesse's have all been warranted. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was nice, and most of all the food was DELICIOUS! I had the Delmonico, medium rare, mmm mmm mmm so good! The filet mignon was also pretty good, but the Steak Oscar was not one we fancied, nor was the bernaise sauce. Most importantly, the baked potato is TO DIE FOR! BEST. BAKED. POTATO. I. HAVE. EVER. HAD. That being said, oh would we come back here again, many many many times and will keep coming back here after we have gone from this wonderful earth. Jesse's is such a gem and a place I recommend to everyone and their children, their grandchildren, their great grandchildren, their great great grandchildren, and so on.

We went as a group and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the prime rib and my wife the blackened salmon delicious. The others had a couple of different steaks I can not remember but they all loved the food. The bread is too good, bad for keto. No real vegan things just real food. This is a restaurant I will be going back to. It gets busy so plan accordingly.

This place serves the best old school prime rib I've had in a long while. Had it medium rare and came out as asked. The French onion soup was also on point. It has a nice crispy layer of Swiss, as God intended. We had excellent table service, thank you Pam, and it was a pleasant experience. We ate there for lunch but I've been here for dinner. Way more crowded for dinner and parking can get...interesting. Advise sooner as opposed to later for dinner.

Waitress was very nice. The Jessie special was good once cooked properly. If you order it be prepared for a ridiculous amount of lettuce on top the burger. There was a ton on mine. I was told the owner wanted it served that way. I found that hard to believe. Seriously, can't exaggerate how much lettuce. Chicken Santa Barbara was very good.

I've been in Brandon a while and I was goaded into going here. " you live in Brandon and you've never been to Jesse's? You need to go to Jesse's. Go to Jesse's.... Fine! I'm glad I did. Smaller restaurant, but it didn't feel cramped. Friendly service. I got the Prime rib, and it was really good. It came with a salad and a fully loaded baked potato. My daughter got the burger. She's a very picky eater, and said she really enjoyed it, not words I here from her often. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, and I ordered a little extra Au Jus and it really set it off. I will definently be back. They do have an early bird special, so if you are so inclined, get there early.

I've driven past this place plenty of times and never stopped in. I now complete regret every time I did that. The prime rib was the best I've had in this town and the service was the kind you wish every place had. Top notch from start to finish. The only issue I found was parking but with a place as good as this you have to expect that.

Very pleased. Sat right away and waiter, Raj, was so attentive. Great with recommendations as it was out first time here. Started with the crab stuffed mushrooms. Usually you get a huge mushroom with small amount of crab stuffing in top, not here. Tiny mushroom topped with huge amount of loaded crab, very yummy. I got my prime rib per his suggestion and was not disappointed. Super flavorful and tender. Husb for salmon with dill sauce, also amazing. Sadly, no room for dessert. We will be back.

Great Food! The staff is kind, courteous and professional. My pickup order was inadvertently taken by another customer prior to my arrival. The bartender and manager apologized for the mishap, which was no fault of their own. Another order was prepared and in no time I was on my way home to enjoy a delicious meal with my wife. Arived not know what to expect but my friend insisted I try this place. I was informed of beer selection and choose a local craft beer and then was told about the Sunday special of prime rib. We got our beers and food fast and had several conversations with wait staff and management thruout our experience. I highly recomend this small joint to anyone looking to have a nice high quality meal, this place is pricey but worth ever cent. Clientele was mostly older people and families but this place would make a great date night for any foodie! I will be back and with a bigger stomach and a bigger wallet!

I wasn't really impressed. The service was excellent, but the steak was very salty & the baked potato was very dry. Given all of the hype, I'd call it a disappointment. The waitress seemed surprised when we told her the steak was too salty, so maybe it was a fluke. I don't plan on going back to find out. It's not worth the prices they charge.

If you are searching for a juicy,meaty,pink,melt in your mouth prime rib...Jesse's!!!!! I can't really recommend anything else here as I can't talk myself into not getting the prime rib. The fries are crispy and clam chowder is THICK ...been here thousands of times...never disappointed 😁come hungry!

Loved the service. Very good appetizers of fried calamari and Buffalo shrimp. Filet mignon was perfectly prepared, nice baked potato. But the green beans were cold and after one bite I had to stop.

7-14-22, family celebration of life for our Mom/Wife. This was her favorite place to eat. Our meal was fantastic as always. Our Mom was there in spirit and we felt her presence. They brought us out a warm brownie sundae for 6. Mush appreciated and totally unexpected. Thank you for the wonderful service My second time eating here and it was amazing. The Prime Rib was so delicious. Great wait staff as well. They even brought my Uncle an ice cream sundae for his birthday. I prefer my horseradish hotter but that's just me. Next time I'm in town I will be back for another wonderful meal. Indiana needs a good ace like this one.

Third time dinning there. The food is always amazing. I start off with the delicious appetizers of crab cakes and calamari; followed by the filet mignon with butterfly shrimps. When with friends. The decor is dated like a 70's supper club. My friends had the prime rib and said it was great. I had the fish and chips. The flavor was good and the fish was fried perfectly but it came with one piece of fish that was 4" X 4". Should have had two that size. Would eat there again but not the fish!

I was told that they had a decent prime rib and that's what I found. The prime rib was soft and had plenty of au jus. It was also bland and unmemorable. There were a few mushrooms that tasted as if they were either from a can or a jar and a rather poor dish of mashed potatoes on the side. They offer you a choice of sides and I chose mashed potatoes as i favor eating it with beef. Avoid it. The gravy on it is probably made from some powder and the potatoes themselves were somehow both texture-free and lumpy. The staff was attentive, the tables were clean, and the other customers no louder than any diner you would find.

Solid prime rib but a rushed dining experience. My dad was halfway through his dinner salad when the main course came and he is not a slow eater. No observation was made of that. 2 top tables are small and jammed together. I could barely scoot my chair 3 inches out to get out of my seat without interfering with the guests in the 2 seat table behind me. Server was ok. I just wanted our meal experience to be not as rushed and more comfortable. Maybe resetting the table arrangement and paying more attention to the times between salad and main course would help.

Just got back from dinner here with the family. And OMG this place was incredible! It was a Friday night, so it was fairly busy and the wait was about 30-40 mins. But it was well worth it because the food was outstanding! I highly recommend a soup, the french onion soup and the crab soup was phenomenal. Personally, I got the 6oz Filet Mignon, which was cooked to perfection and definitely one of the best steaks I've ever had! All in all, my whole family loved their meals, the service was good and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming! Definitely gonna be coming back for seconds!!

We were in the Tampa area and in the mood for Prime Rib. Jesse's had the best prime rib we have had in a long time and the prices were affordable in comparison to other places. Love Jesse’s the food is amazing. I ordered a variety of items. Prime Rib, Steak, Salmon, Calamari, Crab stuff mushrooms. But, the best part is the service. The staff are so friendly. Not bad but not great. Old 80s type steak house. It was probably really great 30+ years ago, but restaurants have moved on much since then. Staff was nice, prime rib was good, but you can tell by the much older clientele that it is not for those looking for that little extra at dinner. Nice homey comfy setting, friendly and attentive staff, and delicious food! My nephew and I had the 16oz Delmonico which was super tender and flavorful. Highly recommended. My sister had the queen cut of prime rib, which also very good. Our loaded baked potatoes were freshly cooked and very tasty. The only negative thing I can say about this place is about the draft beer selection, which had only 3 or 4 domestics that I don't care for, other than that if you're in the area and want a delicious steak dinner but don't feel like dressing up than this is the place for you. It's a bit pricey but the casual atmosphere is welcoming after a day on the water.

Today we treated our granddaughter to lunch celebrating her 25th birthday at the restaurant of her choice. She chose Jesse's Steak and Seafood based on Google reviews (we all like to try new places). The place has a 60s style nightclub vibe. Very clean, wonderful food and excellent service. Hubby, granddaughter's fiance, and I ordered the 12 oz prime rib. It was cooked perfectly, very tender and delicious (FYI...it's on special every Sunday). Granddaughter ordered the coconut shrimp that had several large butterfly shrimp on the plate. Desserts were awesome (key lime pie with raspberry sauce and a chocolate brownie sundae). Michael was a fun as well as superb waiter! We'll definitely go back again!

This is one of those reviews that I don't wanna write because I think I won't be able to get a table in the future. Nothing fancy, but they do a great business. Did a lunch special on Prime Rib. Absolutely wonderful. The Au Jus was flavorful and served with Au Jus cooked mushrooms. Very good, great portion for lunch. However, the margaritas on the rocks here are reasonable and absolutely excellent. Highly recommend you get one if you like margaritas. Seriously, top of the game on margaritas.

Great place to dine and have a great conversation. Waiting time in between appetizers and the entrees was good without rush. Steaks are worth the price and cooked to perfection. Our salad was fresh, crispy, and had the right amount of dressing. Although the deco is outdated I have never seen a restaurant as clean as this one, no dust whatsoever. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The only down side we encountered was the bread; I also found the calamari to be a bit rubbery otherwise it would be 5 stars.

We had a good experience overall. If I had the option of giving a half star the rating would have been 3.5. The decor is very old school. Which isn’t to bad but needs a little upgrade. The seats especially!!! The cushions are so worn out that you fill like you are sitting on the wood. The food was good but a little pricey. The steak was good but there was no seasoning. Just charbroiled. Not that that is a negative but I can do that at home. $23 for a 10oz steak with no seasoning that I can make at home and have the same flavor is just basic. Set your steak apart. Use a rub if you charbroil, something that says this is yours. I would go back again. I want to try other items that they have especially the snow crb legs. Thank you for your service.

First of let me make it clear all the steaks were perfect..they know what they are doing there for sure. The let downs were the other things...the bread was just this side of stale..not toasted, stale. All the sides we ordered were cold. But since we went for their steaks we really didn't complain. Bill our server was attentive to our needs. I know everywhere is hit by the difficulty of hiring people, so it was nice to have a great steak with great service...

So, I think Jesse's has been here since Brandon was first founded. I don't know of anyone that doesn't love Jesse's. The prime rib is the absolute best I've ever had! The wife loves the Jesse's special. It's an old building with lots of charm. Once you go you'll want to return. The place is an institution and a really great steak. Last time we were there our party talked for an hour past the time we finished our dinner and no one bothered us or asked us to give up the table. It's was just a great experience all around. Decent food. Ordered the 16oz Delmonico, came with sauteed mushrooms (6 sauteed button mushrooms to be exact) and 2 sides. Subbed soup for a cup of their crab bisque, yeah don't do that. Only $1 upcharge but it wasn't worth it. Baked sweet potato dressed with cinnamon sugar and butter, looked perfectly delicious. Definitely had enough food to fill me up and take some home but the steak, I think they may have used a pinch of salt (if that) but it was just missing on the flavor profile. Ordered it cooked medium, it was cooked perfectly, but again just wanted more in terms of flavor. It was a decent meal, but I won't be going back for steak. Great service, nice laid back ambiance.

Think of a family owned Texas Roadhouse, but obviously smaller and with friendlier service. It does has been busy everything we have gone regardless of the day. My girlfriend and her parents got the coconut shrimp meals and the shrimp are so big that you have to cut them with a knife and fork! I Didnt care for the crab soup, it was cold and very thick and bland, also I couldnt find any crab in the soup. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Five stars is fair I think. Jesse's is very cool. Its not too big in there so frequently you can't get in because they are so busy, but when you can, I recommend the special! This is our favorite place to go on Sunday. Their prime rib is outstanding. Always cooked to order. I get mine charbroiled on the outside and medium rare on the inside. The only thing I've ever ordered here is Prime Rib. I had somehow never had a hunk of Prime Rib charbroiled and I friggin love it! It gives it a much deeper taste and a better texture. Their horseradish sauce is a little weak but so is everyone else's. Good loaded aked potato and a nice house or Cesar salad. Service has been great every time. Early bird and Sunday nights the Queen cut is only $20. Gets busy and can be a little wait - no reservations.

From the outside it looks like a hamburger joint, but inside it is great. It's relaxed dining with fantastic food. We started with the soup - both kinds were delicious. The salad was average. The main courses were wonderful! The Queen-size prime rib was 12 oz, filled the plate and was about 1" thick. My fish with peppers, onions and Swiss cheese was perfect. We don't eat dessert, but were too full anyway. Our server Bill was attentive, but not so and he gave great advice on the food. We will definitely repeat!!

The restaurant is open for inhouse dining and provides sufficient space for social distancing between customers and staff. The prime rib is one of our favorite meals. The crab dinner is another popular menu choice. It comes with a pound and a half of clusters that can be shared by two people. The crab soup is another good menu choice. All meals were cooked to order and served fresh. Table service is always good and servers routinely check on guests to ensure a great dining experience. The restaurant offers early bird specials between 4 and 6 pm Monday through Saturday and a prime rib special on Sundays. They also offer 2 for 1 drink specials. If you are in Brandon, the food options, price, quality and service make Jesse's a great location to visit.

What a great local place! Service was excellent, food was the same (excellent). We had escargot, crabmeat stuffed mushrooms (as mentioned before small mushrooms but stuffed with abundant amount of crabmeat) and calamari, everything was delicious. Oh 2 for 1 drinks (martinis)! Main course was Delmonico steaks cooked to perfection and crabmeat stuffed cod also very good. Highly recommend Jess's!

I have lived in the area and never visited Jessie's before. We have been missing one of the best restaurants in Brandon. And the service was top notch! Raj kept us entertained and was an amazing waiter. We had the escargot, crab cakes, french onion soup, 6 oz filet and 12 oz del Monaco. All of it... every single bite was delectable and more than met our expectations. Can't believe we let Raj talk us into Key Lime Pie. Delicious! No regrets. Well, there is one regret and that is that we haven't been a regular patron of Jessie's for many, many years.

Ordered the delmonico, asked for no onions and the steak to be medium well. Steak comes out and its got a lot of pink, looks mid-rare in my opinion, also forgot I asked for no mushrooms. Streak gets re-done and again they put mushrooms on the plate, even the server seemed confused. Steak was too darkly seared so had a burnt taste not yo mention not seasoned at all. If it wasn't for the exceptional friendly service this would have gotten 1 star.

Steak was quality and flavorful My big issue was the mashed potato and gravy.... Gravy was not the quality I was expecting .... No better than a brown gravy packet instant gravy The texture of the potatoes was poor almost dry consistency....needed milk or sour cream whipped In for lighter fluffier ..they reminded me of Morrison's cafeteria instant mashed . Certainly did not live up to quality expected for the price. Overall disappointed but willing to try them again when I can eat in to give them a second shot......

Was in the area visiting some friends and wanted a steak. I went in to sit at the bar by myself and was greeted immediately by Carolyn. She explained they were known for their prime rib and it would melt in mouth so I figured mine as well go with a king cut. Everyone swears by Jesse's prime rib so I took my girl friend for our anniversary. To be honest the service wasn't great, we are much younger than the average patron so the other guests were staring and making comments under thier breathe. The waitress seemed to agree with them. First time in my life I felt guilty for being young and successful. The pricing was double what you get at longhorn and to be honest I wasn't impressed at all with the quality of the food. I will try this place again to verify it just wasn't an off day or bad crowd. Don't think the price will get better but maybe the quality and service will.

What a great discovery this place was... we were having some work done on our car next door, and the amazing smell of steak was too much to resist! Jesse's had a killer lunch menu, 2-for-1 drinks and on Saturdays they offer delicious $4 sangria. Interior is steakhouse-dark-wood meets home-cooked-comfort. Can't wait to come back for the fried cod we saw ordered at the table next to us - it looked so good we finally had to apologize to our neighbors for staring at their food! Service was on point and Tammy was kind, fun, and she stayed on top of everything we ordered. Well worth the trip from South Tampa any day.

The Restaurant was busy, that's always a good thing. Our waiter was terrific, but to be honest, I wasn't to impressed with the food. I had the prime rib Auju and it was a bit underwhelming, in that it wasn't very flavorful. My son had a burger and his bun was a bit dry. Would I go back, problem not. Me and my husband are foodies and we eat all over. We love to try new places. We hardly ever eat the same place consistently but this is one of our favorites and we have gone here many times. I was pleasantly surprised have good the food was and cheap. When we first rolled up I'm like where are you taking me? I thought he's taking me to some hobunk ponderosa or something. The outside decor does not match the inside quality of the food. The French onion soup has a nice crunchy nest in the cheese. It's like they put little cheese crisp in with the cheese and it makes it wonderful. The broth is flavorful as well. It's the best french onion soup we've ever eaten. We've eaten at a lot of high-end five-star restaurants too. It beats Berns out and many others. The potato skins are the best we ever had. They were fresh and had a nice Chris to it the bacon stayed crispy and had the right amount of cheese on it was just heaven. It even warmed up well the next day. Now to the star of the show. The prime rib is possibly one of the best I've ever had. I've had some others that are just as good but what makes this prime rib better is to have the Char-Broil on it. And they don't overcook it even with that. It's wonderful. I've had it with and without and they're both good but the Char-Broil is the best. I get mine with a sweet potato and it was heaven as well. We have taken friends of ours and put the word out on have good this is and everybody's loved it. In fact we are heading there tonight with a couple of friends from our exotic car group.

I had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, a light beer draft, and cod with a crab cream sauce, a baked sweet potato, and a Caesar salad, served with a loaf of bread to share. We had a large group for two birthday parties last night and started in the bar while we waited for everyone. The bartender service was absolutely spot-on, and the drinks tasted great. That set the tone for a wonderful evening and they didn't rush us into our table when it was ready because we were all enjoying our drinks. When we went to the table our server was very courteous and attentive, nobody had to ask for anything the whole time, and the food was spectacular. We all commented that we wished we got that quality of food and service everywhere that you go, and that we would all be back! The prices were right, and the food quality was very good. This place is a hidden gem. I stopped by today and had the prime rib. It was simply delicious. The building is small but the flavor is tremendous. Hot bread and butter served with a house salad with ranch dressing. You could tell the dressing was made fresh with only the best ingredients. My prime rib came with mashed potatoes and gravy , button mushrooms and horseradish sauce and aujus. My steak was beautifully served seared with grill marks from the open wood fire with a taste to match.

Today is my second time at Jesse's, they had difficulty making my prime rib ,charbroiled it kept coming out well done on the third try I gave up on charbroiled. The steak was a little fatty but it was a very large portion It gave you something to do with your knife as the steak is basically melt-in-your-mouth soft ,it is one of the better steak places I've been to quite a while. We found this local gem just this past weekend and couldn't believe that we lived around the corner from it for over 6yrs without even knowing. We thought we would sneak in for an early dinner Saturday before the crowd hit and it was absolutely jam packed. We were a family of 4 and it seemed to seat parties of 2 and 4 rather quickly (we waited 15 minutes), the larger parties of 6 and over may of had to wait a bit longer. The food and service was fantastic and the atmosphere is so cozy with antique decor that brought my husband and I back to our youth. Definitely going back!

OH MY DAMN! I have been a fan of Jesse's ever since I moved to Florida back in '06. The prime rib is exquisite. Honestly, I can't think of another word that's appropriate enough. My wife and I went there last week and split a med. rare 22oz Delmonico and the guys at the table next to ours couldn't quit commenting on how delicious it looked. And it was every bit as delicious as they imagined. Outside of the food, I really love Jesse's because it's a small, quaint, intimate, spot. I can have conversation with my wife and not have to talk over the large party on the other side of the room like at the Big Chain steakhouses. Plus it's a locally owned small business. It's not just a building put there by some corporation. The owners live here, work here, and have been here for the past few decades.

This one of a kind place is consistent in their service, value, and quality of their food and beverages. The fish and chips from the early bird menu is one of my favorites, along with the mahi, which I get blackened, and the char-grilled prime rib is a great choice, too. The French onion soup is a must have, and the add-on crab legs are always steamed perfectly. I'm a beer guy, but the sangria is AMAZING. Don't forget to try the flan for dessert.

Overall my experience was pretty good. The service was pretty fast. Being seated took maybe 5-10 minutes on a weeknight around 6:30pm. We started out the crab cakes. Don’t do it. It was literally ONE slither of crab meat and the rest was ALL breading. When I mentioned it to the server he gladly took it back and removed from the bill. Also I’ll note they have a 2 for 1 drink special but theres nothing special about them, about as much alcohol in the drinks as crab meat in the crab cakes LOL! They have amazing steaks. They alone are worth a return trip. Every server I noticed seemed to be on the ball and attentive to their guest. So, great place for a steak, don’t expect to get tipsy on the drinks and by all means, unless you want to eat what essentially is a hush puppy, stay away from the “crab cakes”.

I've been coming here since the 90s & nothing has changed except for the big fish tanks are not there anymore. The food is better than ever bcuz the same guy who cooks the food is still there. What will they do without him?! Service is awesome, especially if u sit with the nice lady tending the bar. I always look foward to a juicy steak & a drink or 2 when someone says "How about Jesse's?". Highly recommended!

Local family owned restaurant offers nice variety of favorite foods. Had the Santa Barbara Greek Chicken breast. Generous portion covered with sautéed mushrooms, green peppers & Greek spices. Delicious. First visit ever. Won't be the last. Definitely a local favorite. Arrived for early dinner before 6 p.m. Was busy early and busier when we departed. The Key Lime pie was great. Will be going back regularly.

Made our first trip to Jesse's on 10/12/18 based on reviews and recommendations. We were not disappointed. House wine (Pino Noir) was excellent and for $5/glass during happy hour, a real steal. French Onion soup...superb. Prime rib.....some of the best I've ever had. Service (by Carolynn) was top notch. Even the little loaf of bread served with the meal was really good. Atmosphere is subdued and pleasant, but a little dated..... but who cares when the food/service are this good. Prices are very reasonable. We've added it to our list of our "go to" spots and will recommend it to our friends. Good job, Jesse's !!

We had dinner here on 10/17 with 2 other couples. Raj was our server. We had not met him before but were truly satisfied with the service and 'personality' that came with him taking care of us for the evening. Some of our 'dinner mates' can be quite the character at times but Raj could hold up to them! He had a quick wit, was very attentive, accurate and very friendly. I will ask for him next time we go there. The meal was wonderful as always. Never been disappointed at Jesse's!

Flashback warning: If you were dining out in the seventies, you might have trouble recalling which decade you’re in. This is a classic “steak-n-seafood” place with an expansive menu. The dishes are as smooth and comfortable as the golden oldies playing in the background. The prices are a tad high, but they rarely miss on flavour or preparation. Don’t expect inventive or inspired dishes; just accept that some food is timeless when done well, and Jesse’s will reliably deliver it.

3 strikes and you're out!! Been going to Jesse's since the 80's a Brandon staple❤️, unfortunately the two times prior to today both within the last 2 months were subpar,had to send the Delmonico's back both times, one undercooked,the next time it was basically fat and grissle, today when I went 1/3 of the steak was fat and grissle,a Delmonico and baked potato with a tea should not be 35$ in the middle of the afternoon,this has nothing to do with ownership, management,or service,just tired of it, time for a new place for a steak😟

First time here and went in with 9 other bikers. My first thought was I went through a time machine to 1980 based on the look inside. I was not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. Raj was our server and he was training someone. His personality was great. He was fun the whole time and told us the young lady would be following him to make sure he does his job right and keep him on track which instantly lightened the mood and got us laughing and smiling. I was cautious ordering a burger as I didn’t know anything about the place others all ordered steaks or seafood dinners. All food came out together, hot and properly prepared as if we were in a super high end establishment. Everyone in the group commented on the food quality. If you are looking for someplace for great food and service and want to avoid the big chain places this is a winner. I will certainly be back. The only minor issue is it was a little cramped for our party size. The establishment is very big so it felt like close quarters at times. But food quality and service from friendly staff made up for it totally.

I've lived in the Brandon area since the 80's, but have never made my way to Jesse's. Shame on me. Went for the first time yesterday and can see why they have survived all these years when many restaurants don't last a year. The service was excellent, the Prime Rib was delicious and it just had a welcoming and unpretentious feeling to the place. Will be back.

Have been going to Jessie’s for twenty plus years and ever trip is worth it! Prime Rib like it should be done. Beef and straight horse radish! Not only local family spot but also where our out of town guests request to dine. Being Midwesterners they know beef and to the last person they say Jessie’s is where they want to eat prime rib! But don’t be fooled, other menu items are well worth trying, meeting all tastes. Bottom line ‘Prime Rib’!

A great local restaurant in Brandon. Prime rib is on special, and they have wonderful menu options including steak, chicken and seafood. Service is always good, food comes out as ordered an is hot and fresh. My only issue is their bearnaise needs more tarragon.

We've been to Jesse's several times always for the prime rib special recommended by a neighbor. The wait staff are polite, and attentive but not overwhelming. The prime rib is tender served with mushrooms, a horseradish sauce and au jus. Salad, bread, and potatoes are portioned well. The price is amazing and more than makes up for this simple restaurant. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Jessie's has been around a long time, while national chains in our area have come and gone. There Prime Rib is outstanding, especially if you go on Sunday. I have had better steaks in the Tampa area, but they are still good, just not outstanding, like their Prime Rib is. The salad was fresh, but they still insist on putting Croutons in my Salad, even when asked not to (they break my fillings). But they have always been cheerful about re making my Salad, and the baked potatoes were always good. If you have never had Jessie's Prime Rib, you owe it to yourself to try it.

Food was excellent had prime rib! As far as the atmosphere I give it a F! The music was so loud we ask the manager to turn it down, not only the 4 at our table but there were other people asking the same. The music was on a radio station that was just awful and loud we couldn’t hear ea. Other talk, when we asked the manager she said the owner expected the radio to be played and she wasn’t allowed to turn it down. We were treated poorly. Not professional at all. Very disappointed in that respect. I hope the owner see’s this not good business. We visit this Resturant often today is 1/3/18 we were there at 6 pm. You should know who your manager was at that time. She’s bad for business. Will leave if this happens again in a sad way as the food is great!

Driving in it said "Voted best steakhouse" - after ordering the Jesse burger, the first bite took me back to my childhood and the flavor of a truly charcoal grilled burger! Also tasted the prime rib which was tender and flavorful...you could cut it with a butter knife! Excellent quality of meat and fresh! I'm a believer and will be coming back.

It took an unreasonable amount of time to eat. We ordered and than had to wait over 45 mins to get our food. The waitress said it was due to the medium well steak we had ordered. However when we got the food , the medium well steak was basically still bloody. It wasn't even medium ,more so rare. Our table was disappointed bc we had read great reviews about this place.
