I ordered two Salad Bars and they were excellent. So many choices and it was very fresh. Exactly what I expected and hoped for. Also enjoyed a cup of tortilla soup. It was flavorful and well seasoned. Not over salted and quite hearty. It was great. As far as atmosphere, the staff seemed a little sullen and the ice cream was soupy. Overall I'd return, I felt full with nutrients when i left!

I was feeling hungry on Friday evening so I searched around me and decided to order from Jason's Deli through Grub-hub. For the order I ordered Spinach Veggie Wrap with multigrain bread, Italian Pasta Salad and Mac & Cheese. I got my order delivered in 30-35 minutes. The veggie wrap was tasty and delicious. The salad along with mac & cheese were also nice.

This was my first time at Jason’s Deli and it was amazing! We ordered a hot pastrami. turkey Rueben, and a side salad. The salad bar could easily be a meal! Love this place!

First time here and the potato and ruben were amazing! Cashier was super friendly and welcoming. Over all food was great, the Mac and cheese was a little starchy but they exchanged it for me with no problem. Definitely will be back.

This place was just Okay as for the food & service as well as the prices a bit high for the quality. Some of the food was very good and some we just set to the side such as a rotten strawberry in the fruit cup which had the bad side facing down. We had to get our own silverware and had to ask that they make coffee. The bathrooms were not as clean as they should be. I cannot recommend this location.

Been working on the road this week and found this Deli in Jacksonville and Tampa. Service is awesome, food is great. Highlight for me is the self serve salad bar that is clean with all the fixings.

Always get a good meal at Jason's Deli. The California Club is my go to. When you get fruit as a side item, it comes with a yogurt to dip in, which is a nice touch. Normally the free ice cream is the coup de grace, but the machine was down... Maybe they get it from the same place as Mickey Ds.

So this review is nor on the food, but rather the condition of the bathroom and ice cream machine. The ice cream machine is always broken down. No ice cream today. But it's the ladies bathroom that is really the problem. Where did the bathroom stall door go? It's completely missing from the handicap stall. ♿️ The paper towel dispenser has been broken all year. It rarely looks as if anyone checks on it for cleanliness. Jason's Deli, these are tell tell signs of other things going bad.

This is not an upscale eatery! The decor is standard and the tables are too close together! Now, the salad bar is to die for!! It has about 25-35 options and GOOD options. 3 different lettuces, every veggie you'd normally see, hummus, taziki, hard boiled eggs, bacon, seeds, seeds with walnuts and dried fruits, bread, crackers and about 6 different salad dressings. It is reasonably priced. For two salad bars, it is just over $25. Give it a try, and you will not be disappointed!

I love Jason’s Deli and have been to various locations in several states. This one is a little far from my home, but I decided to make the 20 minute each way trip for takeout since we hadn’t been to one in a year. This was the worst Jason’s Deli I’ve ever been to. It seemed low lit, there were only two other parties there and I saw no employees willing to help guests (at around 7:15pm on Sunday 10/30). I saw two people that seemed like employees but they wouldn’t make eye contact and walked further toward the back when I attempted to approach them. I was only trying to pickup my food and didn’t see their pickup area (which I later found, after standing waiting for over 5 minutes), but another person behind me was trying to order. On top of this, the free soft serve machine was not operational! That’s one of the best things about Jason’s Deli. I only gave 3 stars because our food was exactly what we remembered from other locations, but this place needs to hire more (and/or better) staff and should always make good on the free soft serve, especially during normal dinner times! Very disappointing and we won’t return!

As sandwich shops go it was average. The food was good, a little more meat would have been nice. They told us that there is an all you can eat ice cream machine, but the quality is get what you pay for. Ok for a quick meal but don't take a date.

I used to frequent Jason's Deli in Denver every time I was out there for work, so I was thrilled to find one here in FL. But, would it be just as good? I ordered the Reuben, and I'm pleased to say it was piled just add high, with just as tender of meat, perfect!! Staff was friendly, restaurant was clean, I'm pleased to say it was just as good as the Denver shop.

Good selection of sandwiches. The cashiers are friendly and the restaurant is clean. I never tried the salad bar, but all of their soups and sandwiches are quite good. It can get busy at lunch time. The dining room seats about 100-people though. If you are in a hurry- order online or through their mobile app. You can't go wrong here.

Second time I have been here in this place that’s the fantastic! The salad bar was wonderful full of variety. The sandwiches are feeling it doesn’t make you feel all “Ugh”. Everyone is on point doing their job and it just makes it run so smooth. Clean the music’s not too loud people are spaced out well and it was easy to get into and out of.

I wasn't super impressed. The service of the lady taking our order was really rude. My son asked a question and she was rude and didn't answer so I had him look up the menu online and look at things on there since she was very unhelpful. My sister in law said she was rude to her as well so I guess it wasn't just us. The food was meh. I ordered two things and I wish I would have just gotten a salad since those are hard to mess up.

I like that it's so close to USF and it's in a good location overall. I noticed that the taste of the food really varies depending on which Jason's deli you go to. The ice cream was top notch. Their system for taking orders is peculiar but it was fast service. I've only been to Tampa on a select few occasions and each time, this is where I've gone to get a bite to eat. It will likely continue to stay this way. It gets busy around lunch time! It's a popular place! Fair warning.

VEGAN approved! Seriously, if you're a Vegan, go straight for the salad bar. They have all the necessary salad bar items including some fun options like a salad topper that consists of dried fruit, nuts and seeds. Lots of good veggies including the option to have a base of spinach, romaine or spring mix. The Bell peppers were amazing. Very sweet and crunchy. Very easy to get your GBOMBS and rainbow for the day without improvising Wheelchair friendly, very accessible, including booths to pull up to, and tables with center-mounted legs. Salad bar is also easily accessible via wheelchair. I can't speak for the sandwiches, but my husband got the Reuban and thought that despite being on the smaller side, it was very delicious. My roommate got the taco salad, and again thought it was on the small side, but definitely enjoyed it. I highly recommend Jason's Deli for a nice casual dining experience.

I Love Jason's Deli. The food is really good! Love my giant baked potatoes. Staff really kind, I eat there at least once a week. I would give them 5 🌟 but they are consistently forgetting an item, when packing the food. I have run into this issue when I use Uber and when I walk in for takeout. Please check your order you order and the experience is perfect!

I still don't like the one trip through salad bar policy. How here is the compromise I worked out in my mind. I will get carry out Including a trip through the salad bar. I won't eat in as long as this policy is in force. I will eat my meal elsewhere. If you choose to reinstate the multiple trip option for no one will be happier than I am. We ordered the food and the confirmation indicated a 12:30 to 1 delivery time. The food did not arrive and at 1:05 I called. They explained that my order was dropped off already. I don ‘t know to whom. They made a new order and it arrived at 1:40. That food was cold. They did not credit the 10 dollar delivery fee. This is my first disappointing experience in ten years of ordering from there. Sad to see things change.

Never been before and was craving a baked potato for lunch and decided to also get a sandwich. Well.. the baked potatoe was huge biggest I've ever seen and yummy. We recently decided to go to Jason’s deli after a long stretch of COVID that settled in. It was good to get back there again, the food was good as usual their chocolate ice cream was yummy but I was very disappointed when I realized they changed their menu and they no longer had the tuna melt sandwich. I was so looking forward to that but I found something else but it wasn’t the same, but I have to be honest the restaurant itself was so cold that my husband had to walk outside to warm up, my daughter went to get her jacket from the car and I put my sweater on and even with that it was so uncomfortably cold in there. I tried to tell a worker there but honestly I don’t think she understood a word I said. I’m in favor of hiring people that are qualified for the job but when they don’t understand what your saying that’s a whole other ballpark. We might go back again but if it’s as cold as it was yesterday we will not stay and the only reason we did stay was because my family got the salad bar. If your ok with freezing temps in a restaurant then you’ll be ok but this family was not and it’s a shame because their food is still very good.

A large chain type deli. We got there near closing. A large Reuben sandwich was probably not the best choice for a last meal before surgery but they are one of my favorite sandwiches. I should have gotten the smaller one. I prefer well lit dinning rooms and this one was a little bit dark. The sweet iced tea was old tasting so I dumped it out. The free soft serve was appreciated but it was a little melty right out of the machine.

Love this restaurant not just for the food but for the great service. Very clean and all of the staff is extremely accommodating. Went there tonight all of the food we had was made exactly the way we wanted it. Jon the manager took our order and even made suggestions that made the food even more palatable he checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The complimentary ice cream afterward made the night even more sweeter. Great crew with smiles all around. Highly recommend this place. Come hungry and leave satisfied..what more can you ask for 😌

Absolutely love coming to this place customer service has always been top notch and the quality of food keeps bringing me back. I give it four stars because I feel the Tampa Bay area needs a few more of these locations as this one always seems busy. If you go during lunch hours be prepared to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes to place your order it's well worth it though.

Went today and it didn't look busy. The person taking our order was great at explaining we could make our own sandwich too! But then we waited 30 minutes for our food (it was to-go) and then a sandwich was made wrong and it took another 15 minutes for it to be re-made. Got home (less than 10 minutes away), and the sandwiches are okay...but there's a bunch of shrimp shells and something slimy in the seafood gumbo and it doesn't sit well. 4/5 for service but a 1/5 for food quality.

Wasn't up to par compared to other locations. They were slow and maybe there was lack of experience or training because they were not busy. Had to change order because of lack of stock and taking to long. Everying had to be microwaved... which is not how they used to do things at all.

The food was fantastic however it wasn't what I ordered. On January 10 2022 deli # 237 at 5:17 name Leon I ordered 2 Reubens 1Pastrami 1 Cornbeef. Along with a steak Poboy. I got 2 Cornbeef Reubens. I wanted 1 Pastrami 1 Cornbeef. It says it on the ticket. However when I'm starving coming home from the hospital I didn't want to drive back for the proper order. The food is very good and a good variety. The salad bar is not bad as far as salad bars go. Prices aren't that great but I like it better that Panera Bread. Down side is that this place is very noisy when busy. They do take out, just call ahead and avoid the noise during lunch and dinner hours. Popular with the after church crowd as well.

It took forever to get our food though there was no one else in there. They did have some carryout but not enough to wait half an hr for a Reuben and Caesar salad. Salad bar is back and nice, a bit pricey for one trip but was fresh.

I happened to be in Tampa visiting some friends last week and they raved about Jasons Deli--I was like, whats that.. Oh my gosh-- AMAZING is what it is!! We visited and me being a newbie and unsure, the manager, I think John was his name (may of spelled it wrong) he made some recommendations and it was outstanding. He came to visit our table, to make sure all was good. I just want this company to know, that although the entire staff was great-- I could really tell this young man, genuinely cared and wanted to make sure we all had an amazing experience. Staff, especially like John, are a rarity now it seems.. So be sure to let him know newbies like myself, TRULY APPRECIATE his guidance and genuine effort to ensure his customers have nothing short of an outstanding visit!! KUDOS TO YOU SIR!! Next time I'm in Tampa, I will most definitely be back!!

I hadn't been to Jason's deli since before covid, so I was sad to find out that they had gotten rid of the salad bar. Or at least that's what I was told on the phone when I called. SO I was delighted when I got there and found out that they still offer a salad bar, just made by the employees. They give you a form to fill out with all the different things you want and they brought me out a gigantic, beautiful, delicious salad. I really enjoyed getting back to eating at Jason's deli after so long away. We had young kids and old folks with us for a meal, and everybody really enjoyed what we had. And how can you go wrong with free soft serve for dessert? Thank you Jason's deli

First time here, restaurant was very clean as was the washrooms. Very well laid out, open kitchen, and long front counter with lots of condiments. Well stocked salad bar to the side. My wife and I both has the pastrami on rye, plain. The only way to have a deli sandwich. We both commented that the meat had just the right amount of fat to make it oh so tender, melt in your mouth. Would have liked one more ounce of meat. The staff was friendly and service was very timely. No complaints and we recommend this restaurant. If you've followed my reviews you know I am looking for that perfect pastrami sandwich. This was close.

Every time I come to this location I receive tremendous service, high quality food, and fast preparation. Their Ham and Salami Muffaletta is to die for. Easily the best I have found in Tampa. I know, I was surprised as well. Whoever is running the place does a tremendous job of training the staff and everything about this location is excellent.

Marlin delivered our catering order this week. When there was a small issue, he went out of his way to bring back a missing soda, even though I told him not to worry. He even provided a larger size for the inconvenience and made sure to arrive before the meeting started. He was extremely polite and professional, ensuring our order was complete. One of my favorite sandwich shops in Tampa. Can be a little pricey, but it's better than a pizza. Best muffuletta I've had outside of New Orleans. Highly recommend it.

I LOVE Jason's! We were so tired of fast food and chain restaurants when our kitchen was being renovated. I really missed veggies. My husband suggested Jason's for their salad bar. It did not disappoint! There are so many options and the mini gingerbread muffins are so delicious. They also have a great menu of different sandwiches. Free soft serve ice cream is a nice touch, too.

Pretty good food, which a good sized menu and large open seating area. Definitely can't ignore the free ice cream offered for all patrons. Pretty good for kids and adults alike, but it gets crowded during lunch hours very quickly, and seating can be a problem if your in the later showing, so time it well. Parking is Adequate, but sometimes a small hike. Definitely a a place to keep coming for the ago on, quick meal that can satisfy cravings

Can't judge this Jason's vs. others but I'm sure they are the best. Staff was friendly, though shy and impersonal compared to other staff I've encountered. I would come back if getting gas at this highway exit :)

Will not be ordering from this location again, food was good, but they charged me the wrong amount, adding to my bill after I chose not to pay a tip on a pickup order. I called and spoke to them on Thursday afternoon and was told they would be in touch after researching the claim. I have not heard from anyone and the incorrect charge is still on my account. Follow up, the location finally contacted me the following week to let me know there was a computer issue calculating tax. Problem resolved.

I'll start this review by saying that, especially in an establishment this busy, mistakes do happen. We ordered our food and sat patiently as everyone around us received their food. After 30 mins I approached the counter frustrated. My frustration was first met with confusion and then a flurry of apologies. Our small soups were upgraded to bowls and brought immediately out. We were given complimentary cookies. Our sandwiches soon followed served by the manager who was sincerely apologetic. Our transaction was voided and our meal was free. The mistake was corrected far above and beyond expectations, I will definitely return to this Jason's.

I started ordering from here when the pandemic first started.Their food is always amazing my go to item is the bbq brisket stuffed baked potato or the salami and ham muffalata.Using door dash or uber eats this place can be a little on the expensive side especially when you think to yourself I'm paying $10.00-$12.00 for a baked potato but I promise you won't be disappointed it's big enough to take a breather and come back at a different time to eat the 2nd half if you so choose to. Oh did I forget to mention that they are very generous with the bbq beef brisket that is piled on top with shredded cheddar cheese and I think jalapeno slices optional. Enjoy guys

Can't go wrong with the potatoes here at all. I like the cheese and bacon one. The sandwiches could use a bit more meat though, and you gotta watch what you get from the salad bar. One of my friends found a rotted tomato. Can't beat free ice cream though, and the dining room attendants were doing an awesome job for a busy lunch.

I have been thinking about deli for a couple weeks, so when I cruised by Jason's I pulled in. I did not realize until I came here to post that it is a chain, so I was surprised at the chain feeling of the place. I ordered a turkey Reuben & was unhappy to see that I was served processed turkey. The restaurant promotes its "natural" ingredients, so I wasn't expecting pre-masticated meat. The pumpernickel was very bland & pale. On the plus side, they serve a fruit salad as a side & the fruit was ripe, yummy & the portion was nice. The employees were are very friendly & helpful.

A great place to get a muffuletta in Tampa. Not the same as Central Grocery but still darn good. I love the free ice cream that comes with your meal. It always allows me to print my head to allow for dessert and then I can have as many comes as I want until I feel perfectly satisfied! Wonderful!

We had a great experience here. My vegetarian wife and me (the carnivore) both agree that this is one of the restaurants we miss most about living overseas. Great build your own salads. My wife raves about the chocolate and banana puddings... Idk why but she tells people all over Europe that "Jason's deli has the best pudding" no joke... Lol! I find that hilarious. But we both thoroughly enjoy the salads and casual all you can eat atmosphere.

If you've never been to Jason's deli, it's a soup and sandwich deli. This location has a weekday lunch rush, so beware. There may be lines and tables may not get wiped right away. For vegetarians, i suggest the caprese sandwich. The soup and sandwich combo is a nice deal. This location also has free soft serve ice cream.

Jason's has been around for a while serving up soup salad and out of this world sandwiches. It's casual, affordable but a little loud but they have complimentary ice cream that makes up for the noise The wife, child, and myself walked through the door about 1:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. Decided to sit down and read the menu. Well, it was just after the lunch crowd and half of the available tables hadn't been cleaned. We wipe one down and began reading the menu. I have been eating here since 2006 when I was a car salesman. They sold me on a group catering event that was used at the dealership after I brought them in. I highly recommend to anyone who loves pasta, salad (bar too), and sandwhiches with unique twists that even have customer influences from across our beloved nation. We ordered a Beefeater sandwich, that came with au jus for dipping and baked chips, a half chicken sandwich with chips along with a one-time trip to the salad bar and one unlimited salad bar. The Beefeater sandwich was large. The half chicken sandwich was tasty and cooked to order. The salad bar featured a good variety of items was clean and well-stocked. The restaurant offers free frozen yogurt for dessert.

Excellent, fresh and tasty food! We stopped again at Jason's after our VA Hospital trip today and it was just as satisfying as it has been every other time we've been. This time I had the lighter portion of the Big Chef Salad which consists of ham, turkey, asiago cheese, cheddar cheese, hard-boiled egg, grape tomatoes and greens. They also would have included kalamata (?) olives but I asked them not to do so. It was fabulous! Super fresh and crisp and just the right size! I ate all the way down to the bowl! Hubster had one of the house specials - the Pot Roast Sandwich - and he brought half home to eat later. It was a good sized, thick portion of warmed tender beef pot roast with provolone cheese melted on it with chipotle aioli (?) on a New Orleans French Bread roll which was about 6-8 inches long. It came along with his choice of chips and he went with plain ruffled; OK, I admit, I stole 1 and 1/2 chips just for fun and a taste...lol... If you have to go to USF in Tampa or the James Haley VA Hospital and have transportation, just turn right from the hospital on Bruce B Downs, then Right onto Fowler and Jason's is on the right just around the corner - and they offer you free vanilla ice cream when you're done!

Overpriced sandwiches, salads and wraps. Tastes good, but not worth the money. Save some dough by making a sandwich at home. I will say that the chicken salad on the croissant was super tasty. It has pineapple and almonds in it which takes it up a notch. Lunch for 2, which consisted of a corned beef sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich with 2 fountain drinks ran over $22.

Amazingly fresh sandwiches with plenty of options. There are actually more cheese choices than are listed on the menu, if you take a look at the sandwiches they have. Many of their sandwiches are on actual bread slices, which you may not want... Just ask for one of the more roll types, as they have a couple. Broccoli cheese soup is amazing. Probably a little better than Panera bread. Free soft serve ice cream when you dine in!!

This place has high quality, healthy foods at inexpensive prices. They have a great selection of paleo and vegetarian options, a fantastic salad bar, and huge sandwiches piled high with meats for those needing a heartier fare. Free ice cream with entre makes it very popular with my little ones!

Also, the USF discount should really be every day considering they are a majority of your business, but after reading other reviews I'm assuming the owner is a penny pincher.

With a location that is conveniently located near the USF Tampa campus, Jason's Deli on Fowler is my favorite place to go after school or before work. The employees deliver outstanding service and the food is excellent. Their menu has many options to choose from, so I recommend visiting their website and reading it before you go to the establishment. Also, because the deli is a popular lunch spot, it can become very busy during the lunch hours (12 p.m.-2 p.m.). Be sure to plan your trip accordingly.

Polite staff, but it's not quite up to par. Seems like they got something wrong at everyone's table, even our own. We got the wrong pasta, but we ate it anyways. There appears to be a lack of cleaning and maintenance. This place isn't anywhere near as good the other Jason's Delis we've been to (all in Texas). I don't know if their filtration system needs better maintenance, or if there is one at all, but the water tastes HORRIBLE. A lttle bit of effort could go a long way.
