So yummy that I had to have a big bite before taking a picture. One of my favorite places for thin crust pizza in Tampa Bay Area. I would highly encourage to get your pizza by the pie if you could. It comes out quickly and extra tasty. Pizza by the slice is still good if you’re looking to sample a variety of flavors.

WOW...Best pizza I've had in a long time! Fir The crust was perfect, the sauce flavorful and not too much and the toppings were fresh. Especially enjoyed the REAL Italian sausage that was on it. There's something for everyone on the menu. It was quite busy when we arrived. Ordered 3 pizzas for our group and they were ready much faster than anticipated. Be warned... that 20" pizza is bigger that the box looks hanging up there on the wall... not that I'm complaining! This was our first time here....DEFINITELY won't be our last

Delicious pizza! We got the gluten free one and it was amazing! I love how they aren’t cheap with the toppings and make sure that each of the slices have good amounts on them. I also love that they have an extra crispy option! Will definitely be back very soon!

Had pretty high expectations for a NY Pizza place and I was not disappointed! I had to try the classic cheese first so I got 2 huge slices and was stuffed! So good, might just be the best I've had. Greasy but in a good way, the crust had amazing flavor as well. Very easy ordering process too. Can't wait to go back to try something different.

This is the spot for thin crust pizzas just like in NYC. They are fast efficient and never skip on taste. For as busy as they are I've never struggled to secure a seat. Best part is the hot garlic wings 😍🤤 I don't eat pizza anywhere else when I'm in town.

For the Friday night dinner we were looking for a pizza place and we decided to have pizza from Eddie & Sam's NY Pizza. We ordered Cheese pizza and veggie pizza online through their website. The order was ready in 20 minutes and we picked the order from the counter. The pizza were hot and delicious. One of the best cheese pizza we had in Tampa. The best cheese pizza in Tampa. Wow, the New York pizza has made its way to Tampa and it is alive and well. This restaurant goes above and beyond, actually importing water from New York, which is then used in the dough. The pizza selection is enormous, and ordering by the slice allows you to choose a good variety. The store has some digital kiosks that you can use to order pizza, or you can walk up to the window of pizzas and order there. Slices are very reasonable for the size at around $4.25 each. The pizza itself is fantastic. Excellent quality cheese, and slices are fresh and soft, yet sturdy enough with the New York fold to eat it. The Buffalo chicken pizza is loaded with fresh chicken and a tangy Buffalo sauce. The chicken bacon ranch has thick slices of bacon and a delicious homemade ranch base that gives a little acidic bite to the rich meats and cheese. The white pizza is excellent with a creamy Alfredo-like sauce but loaded with a ton of garlic flavor. Their monster 28” pizzas are served in a comically huge box. This box would not fit through a normal door frame. It is insanely big.

STOP! Seriously stop reading and decide that you are going to get some REAL NY PIZZA from Eddie and Sam's. My family and I were visiting Tampa and were lucky to find the shop. You go in an order by the slice or the pie, we ordered a 20" pie and it was ready lickety split. The kids learned "the fold" and everyone was a fan of the awesome crust. Seriously, the three of us finished a 20" it was so good. So now you have read to hear why are you not calling or heading to Eddie and Sam's? Hit that thumbs up 👍 if you agree with me.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I was born and raised in Brooklyn. I have lived in Florida for 22 years now and have had numerous pizzas claiming authenticity. I have some that were good and some that were pretty close to the real thing. Today for the first time in decades I have had the actual real thing!!! This pizza is amazing and is EXACTLY what I remember eating for 30 years

We looooved the pizza here. Even my Jersey born, super picky pizza lover approved. Great sauce flavor, generous toppings, and a perfectly crisped dough w/o being burned. My only complaint is that we live 3-4 hrs away in S. Florida. Will surely try to stop in here again anytime we're in the area.

Seemed like legit NYC pizza. They had a very up-to-date self-ordering station. You punched in what you wanted on the computer and paid right there as well. It was very convenient. Pizza was pretty good and very much felt like I was eating a slice in NY.

Love Eddie and Sam's. I moved away from Tampa years ago and still, their Chicken Parm slice is in my top 3 best pizzas of all time. A lot of seating for a slice shop and easy to walk to the riverfront park afterwards.

Awesome pizza! New York style, thin crust, nice and greasy. Perfectly fulfills the craving. There’s seating inside with all of the toppings already at the table. They do need to work on refilling those jars regularly (especially the Parmesan), but we managed. There are many different sizes of pizza, from two people sharing a 14in to too big to fit through the door.

Ordered Eddie & Sams off Ubereats on 11/2. Pizza was a little better than okay but not as good as some of the other pizza places in town. I prefer NY NY pizza or Westshore Pizza over it. Just not as tasty.

We are visiting from out of town and decided to give this place a try, and we were so pleased! It’s in a great location. We were able to walk from our hotel (only a 6 minute walk). Once we arrived, we ordered a lasagna pizza and wings. Both were delicious! Not a compliant, but I will say that it was somewhat confusing after ordering. We were unsure what side to stand on in order to receive our food. There were many people in the restaurant during this time, but it was still very fast! We will definitely be back when we’re in town again. Thank you for the great experience and full bellies!!

The pizza was great. The wait time was great. It’s in a cool part of the city relatively close to the River Walk. I would have given it 5 stars but when our food was ready the guy took my buzzer and basically chucked the pizza at me without saying anything. I know it’s a small thing but the small things set decent businesses apart from great businesses. All in all, it’s great food at a great price.

My wife ordered a slice of pizza with mushrooms and black olives. Rather than actually cooking the toppings, they just threw them on a cheese slice, threw it in the oven for 30 seconds, and served it to us. The mushrooms and olives were barely warm. I got a slice of cheese pizza and it was good.

Don’t even get me started with how good this place is. Staff is always great, and the food is darn good. I used to pick up Uber here often when I delivered and finally went and got myself pizza here after someone canceled and I got their pizza. Boy was it good. I try to get a pizza from here as often as once every 2 weeks to a month. There isn’t a whole lot of seating inside and they have a little outside seating too depending on your time of arrival but you can eat pizza anywhere. I strongly recommend getting a slice or a whole pie here!

From NY, we are very particular about pizza. We heard this place was one of the best so we tried it while visiting Tampa. We opted for the gluten free crust (love them for that!) and it was the best pizza either of us ever had by a landslide! Absolutely fantastic! We will definitely be back!

One of the best pizza spots in the entire Tampa Bay, however, the place itself is not very clean. I have been a customer since 2018 and every time we come to dine in, I have to find an employee to ask them to wipe the table after previous customers so we can sit down and eat there. Variety of pizzas is impressive and you are also able to make your own if you choose to do so. The line moves pretty quickly and the employees behind the register are very efficient. Again, the only reason I am giving this place 4 stars is the lack of cleaningness in both bathroom and dining room.

Best pizza in Florida! Coming from Jersey it is hard to find some good NY style pizza in Florida but I was pleasantly surprised! For those that don't know, these guys get the water they use for their pizza shipped from NY and that makes a big difference in taste and texture. My only complaint is their practice of giving small pizza boxes when you order slices. I was dining in and I got 3 slices served in two pretty good quality pizza boxes. It just seems like a waste to me but that's a small gripe. Don't pass this place up it's great!

Best local pizza that is closest to NY/NJ style pizza! Ordered the 28" pizza which is huge but awesome taste, not oily, great consistent taste and flavor throughout. We did order mushrooms, which was very light on mushrooms for a $5 add-on-only negative. Other than that, we'll be back.

Amazing food, made me feel like I was actually back in New York when I stepped inside. The Sicilian slice isn't quite what I was expecting, but was still very good. The regular pie slices are 100% spot on though! Will definitely be returning when I'm in the area.

NEW YORKER HERE! Y’all were not lying about this place. I went twice in one week, first got a pie of the gluten free crust cheese pizza (I ordered through text, really wanted it half cheese/half whatever the basil garlic or something flavor you offer) and they said they would do it. When I received the pie, it was only cheese. But whatever, it was still delicious! I did get a really bad stomachache after but I’m mildly lactose and gluten intolerant — and tried to finish a whole pie alone. I went back yesterday with my gluten digestive aid and Lactaid for a cheese and pepperoni slice. Waiting less than 5 minutes for a perfectly heated slice of New York pizza. *Random side-note but the cardboard boxes are a huge waste. You can go NY style and put the slices in a paper bag, or somehow find a creative way to recycle the boxes. We didn’t have the option in the kiosk to say it was ‘for here’ and ended up piling yet another cardboard box in your garbage can.

Standard pizza is very greasy. Sauce is good. Crust is good. But expect to go through alot of napkins getting that grease off. If you fold it, watch for the stream. I would 100% recommend the Sicilian slices. The bread soaks the grease and they are fantastic!

Best pizza I have had. Will definitely go back. Very busy and not alot of seating so I would plan for take out. once you get the order in they are quick to get it out! Finding parking that's free is also difficult if not impossible.

I have to be Gluten free and this pizza hands down is the best I’ve ever had and I’ve never gotten sick. Which as a person living with celiac disease is a big deal. I order at least 2-3 times a month. Perfect crust, and fresh ingredients what else can I ask for! The best!!

First time here. Had high hopes. Pizza was overbaked, crust was like trisquit cracker crisp instead of crisp yet foldable NYC crust. To me, good pizza crust also is a little salty and tasty. This crust had no taste. Could use more sauce too. Maybe in part due to over baking. Might try again if can't find another NYC style pie here in S. Tampa.

The pizza certainly is up there with the best, based on my taste preferences. No huge excess oil, base was thin and crispy, toppings tasted fresh and sumptuous. Then comes the service, took me about 15-20 mins from order to box being placed in my hands, Thursday evening 7.30pm prime time, not bad at all. To sit there and watch the E&S N.Y pizza team at work was fascinating, in that time they easily served 50+ people. Made the time fly by watching the impressive display, of the staff replicating an well oiled machine. Definitely looking forward to going back and havimg another pizza there again in the future.

I’ve never seen a pizza this size with price like this before. The dough is not sweet like many chain pizza restaurant. The sauce is great. The staff was great and fast. You can enjoy NY-style pizza with very cheap price. Try once if you’re in Tampa and don’t want to be regret after leaving

Pizza was outstanding for a decent price. You go there for the pizza not the experience lol the place is decently dirty. We sat in the outside seating which was quite the experience as we were badgered by homeless and teens smoking weed.

Man!!!! Listen to this. The pizza was amazing. I had buffalo chicken(very spicy), the lasagna pizza which was my favorite, cheese, and BBQ chicken and bacon. The food was great and the service as well. The location, you’ll have to pay for parking or search for hours for a decent spot. Prices are reasonable. One or two slices will do the job i promise. I can say i wish the pizza was a little more hot. Didn’t seem to have that fresh out of the oven feel when i got them. BEST PIZZA IN TAMPA. Hands down.

So good! We were visiting from Texas and decided to grab a slice on our way out of town. Glad we did, it was delicious! Wish we would have eaten here earlier in our trip because I could have tried all the other slices they had. I only had room for 1 slice, the white with spinach. It was wonderful! Wide variety of pizzas, quick and organized service despite the volume of customers. I ordered a Bianca, a Hawaiian, they had generous amount of topping, the sauce was just enough to create some contrast. They were worth the price. You can sit in or outdoor the choice is yours.

This is our go to pizza place. It is ALWAYS busy and that should tell you something. They have the closest N.Y. style pizza in Tampa. You can easily fold the huge slices just like when in N.Y. They have a variety of pizza's and sale by the slice as well. Have been here several times and have never had a bad slice or pizza. Yummy😋

Tough to pin this down but ended up giving it 3 stars as there was lots of good and lots of bad. First, the good: It's a unique place with lots of character, lots of options, some tasty combinations flavour wise (we had buffalo chicken pizza and the supreme), we received our food quickly, and it was good value. On the down side, we didn't have great service. The fellow we ordered from had his headphones in and took our order but didn't explain where we had to pay. Then, when we tried to fill up our fountain drinks and both machines were out of pepsi, the staff member we informed looks annoyed - like we were inconveniencing her. I said the pizza flavours were good, but the slices we ordered had crispy crusts. I always finish my crusts on all kinds of pizza, but couldn't eat these as they were hard, crunch, and not too tasty. Lastly, the garbage! We ordered 5 slices total and they gave them to us in 5 boxes instead of using paper plates. Boxes & garbage were piled up outside the restaurant litering the streets etc. Restaurant should take responsibility for the outside garbage as well and reconsider the amount of waste that they are generating!

Crusty and delish! Just the right amount of grease and cheese...yumm. Recommend classic cheese or pepperoni, very much NY pizza! Lots of individual slices to choose from and a Tampa FAV...very busy! Gargantuan pizza boxes were also rolling out of there...we were told each box holds 28‐32 pieces per box!😮 Definitely will return when visiting Tampa again😊

Went to visit to this pizzeria because being a Brooklyn guy, I was obligated to. I chosed a regular thin crust slice. At first sight, it looked like a NYC slice. But when I picked it up, it was extremely greasy and had a major flop to it. And as of the taste, it was ok, not great. Most of the taste came from the grease and nothing else.

Really busy pizza shop. Lots of by the slice choices that are so numerous I could not even count them all. Even with a line of customers it only took maybe 7 minutes to order and get my order. They do not sell alcohol. Outdoor dinning as well as indoor Sunni g to choose from. Slices are a reasonable price for the size.

This is our preferred pizza place in Tampa. Haven't found a NY style pizza place in Tampa that comes close to the real thing. I was born in NY and YES it's the water...unless you have that NY water you can only come close genuine tasting NY pizza. I typically get 2 cheese and the hubs gets a cheese and a meat lover's. We've also had the white and sicilian pizza otherwise known as Neapolitan pizza (its square, almost like a deep dish but better). Anything we've had has been tasty, well made, and actually reasonably priced. And yes, they sell by the slice. Service is always good, it's always clean, and the attached gelato place is convenient and offers even more space. More great things: There are around 3 or 4 TVs that play various sports channels and the Coke Freestyle machines are great. Plus the water is free and taste great. If you're in the area and craving lunch or a late night pizza, I definitely recommend this place. We actually drive from Lutz even if we're not in the area and make a day out of it by walking the Riverwalk after or heading to the aquarium (we have passes). Note: kids like it too; I see parents with their kids here all the time. I also bought my 7 and 8 year old nieces and they really liked it. One slice is pretty big so you may have to cut it in two for little kids though.

So the pizza is good. Not the best I’ve ever had but definitely really good. Seems to me like theres a little too much seasoning in the sauce. Its fairly priced as well and they have a wide variety of pizzas. Just sucks that it is in downtown where it’s miserable to park.

Place was great lines were long but they still got us out of there with our way to big 28 inch pizza. Pizza was great no complaints at all. The service was amazing. Drunk customer was annoying complaining about waiting for her pizza for an hour and the employee owned her by showing the lady her recipt with the time of order and the time it was now and she had only been waiting 15 minutes. Awesome job got a show with great food. We will definitely be back but I'll tell you what it won't be for the 28 inch, not unless we got another family with us. Great job yall.

This is the best pizza shop in town in my book. So many different pizzas to choose from. This is the only pizza shop that has a 28 inch pizza if you can eat it. The slices are all so big and very tasty. I've been going here for years and this place stays busy and why not when the slices are always fresh. Recently the owner Mike who is a friend of mine just renovated the place to make it easier for customers to get there food quicker. He takes care of his employees which on turn produces dynamite food and service. If you want great pizza and atmosphere of big city life then come on down to Eddie And Sam's. It says a lot that any time you eat here it’s always packed, yet service is always very quick. The ONLY issue I can find with Eddie and Sams is the amount of grease. It’s a little more than I’m comfortable with, but that could just be my personal preference. If you hold the slice up, the grease never stops. The taste is exceptional though!

This pizza was not even the largest size. Went with some family and everyone’s appetite was satisfied. Pizza, great! Staff, great! Environment.. if you’ve ever been to a little pizza shop in New York, that’s what it felt like however much less crowded of course. Eddie and Sams have ALL TYPES OF PIZZA. I personally like pizza with broccoli 🥦 (am I the only one?) and they have more than one broc options. Yum! If you’re downtown Tampa and casually taking a stroll, stop by Eddie and Sams for a slice or the whole pie! They are located right by Curtis Hixon. Hard to miss. Enjoy!

SPOT ON! I heard that Eddie And Sam's was among the best pizza joints in Tampa so today as I was driving through the city, i stopped by Eddie And Sam's for a slice of cheese pie... And what a slice it was! Although the crust is a little on the pale side for my taste, the perfect blend of New York water, Italian tomatoes and cheese made for an awesome slice of cheese pizza. Parking is a bit tricky being that Eddie And Sam's is located smack downtown Tampa. Needless to say we'll be back to Eddie And Sam's when we're looking for top notch pizza downtown Tampa. This pizza is huge! I included the 13 inch MacBook for reference. The box barely fit through doorways. I have to say I was very impressed with the pizza. Delicious. The toppings to cheese to sauce ratio was really good an pretty consistent through such a large pizza. This would be a party pleaser. Warning this box will not fit in human sized fridges but well worth it. One star down bc the garlic knots were a bit plain on the inside. The impromptu garlic bread on the right was delicious. Overall great experience would whole heartedly recommend.

I was skeptical on New York Style pizza in Florida, but this placed was very tasty. Parking can be a bit difficult but definitely worth the trouble. I really liked the self-order kiosk, it made things go super quick. They offer a good variety of pizza by the slice - I really enjoyed their white pizza and pepperoni. I did takeout and it traveled very well. The small boxes were flimsy so just make sure to hold from the bottom. They were well staffed for a Sunday early evening and very friendly. They were quick to check on my order when they saw me standing and waiting. Pretty sure I was in & out within 10 minutes.

I'm not quite sure if they still bring the water from NY to make their pizza but this place used to be my favorite pizza place around but it doesn't seem the same as it was before the Covid shut-downs in 2020. It's still good pizza but the last few times I've been, the pizza toppings were very light. And, given their prices compared to other privately-owned pizza places, I think you can find pizza that's just as good at a more reasonable price. If you're in the area, they're worth trying but I honestly, and sadly, won't go out of my way to get pizza from there anymore.

Only been here twice, but both times it was great! Big NY style slices of pizza. Lots of great varieties to choose from. You can get little sides of parm, red pepper flakes, and marinara to go with it. The little extra touches are nice. It was super busy the first time I went but they still got everyone through the line efficiently, they know what they're doing! They have some tables outside to sit at or you can walk across the street and sit by the river looking across at Univ of Tampa. Delicious pizza and fair price. You should definitely check them out!

The pizza was really good. Service was good, though you do order from a kiosk. That was really a great feature. Easy to order. I would give it 5 stars had it not been for the cleanliness. The back dining room was messy full of boxes and supplies. The bathroom was needs cleaning and the front dining area needs some serious TLC. The trios and walls are dirty. Overall, the pizza was great but the dining experience was bad. I felt a little dirty and made me wonder if they’re not taking care of the dining room, are they taking care of the food prep area. I hope they fix that soon.

The pizza is amazing! It was busy but the service was quick. If you are craving some good NY style pizza this is the place to go however parking is a bit much. There is a parking lot right across the street from the restaurant but it was $15 dollars. There is parking you can pay for along the street but it was busy so I couldn't find a spot. Please be aware there is car patrol walking around checking license plates and making sure you aren't illegally parked. I saw several tickets being issued in the 20-30 mins I sat outside eating my pizza.

Best pizza in the Tampa Bay metro area and in my opinion, it's not even close. There's a few other good pizzerias in this area(Toby's Little Italy in St Pete/Pizza Haven in Brandon are 2 other good places that come to mind) but most are just average or not really good. Eddie and Sam's is on a different level than anything else I've had around here!

Walked here after waiting over 45 minutes at a Mediterranean restaurant down the street. Glad I did because the pizza and wings were delicious. Probably the best NY style pizza I've had. The wings were just as delicious, great flavor and nice and crispy skin. My only gripe is that if you are a perfectionist the artwork will drive you nuts because it seems whoever put them up didn't spend too much time making sure they're all level or hung straight, lol.

Eddie and Sam's has changed over the last 10 years. The place is busy and full of staff. The pie is ok. For me, the crust was too crispy and dry. The toppings were thin and not nearly enough sauce or cheese. What was once the place for pizza in Tampa is no more. Goodbye old friend, I will always remember what we had.

First of all I love pizza like I love my mother so I take every bite crucial to this review. Pizza was a solid 6/10 which is somewhere between good - and could be better - but not the worst I've had. I get it they use NY water but that shouldn't solemnly be the secret to a successful pizza recipe.. The crust was crunchy but had no flavor. The sauce also was missing that pizza flavor that usually accompanies dank pizza rivals found in other pizza famous places. Last but not least the one thing I will say that's on a positive note is the various selections of toppings at this pizza place is good to see. Not many other pizza places which are famous for superb flavor have many selections so I give my hat too them for this! Overall definitely not a bad pizza and enjoyable but ive had muuuuuch better and not a pizza that'll make me remember the place nor does it have that "wow" factor. PS. The line to ordering can be messy and hard to tell where the line begins. Also employees should monitor the drinks more.. I ordered orchata and it was empty. Took 15 mins for them to replace it which by the time they did so i was already done with my slices 🙃 PSS The other room had a motorcycle in it and was unorganized and just felt like a garage and not a welcoming experience for being in such a prolific spot in downtown Tampa.

Forget all the rest of the "NY Style Pizza" places you've seen in the bay area. THIS is what New York pizza looks & tastes like. Ordered a few times and the orders have always been ready on time despite the many orders they have to fulfill. The only negative is attempting to phone in an order. The phone number is useless as it sends you into an endless loop.

Owner Tom is from the NYC metro area and brought that wonder crust thin crust pizza to Tampa since 1998. Gianormous slices, pizza is very authentically delicious. Very good pizza! This was my first time here. My son brought my husband and I here. It was a very busy place even though it was after a typical lunch period. My only complaint was the small eat in area. We found a table outside but many people had to take theirs to go because there was no seating available. If you're a recently transplanted or visiting Northeasterner, this is the most viable pizza in the downtown area. Not quite to the level of coal-fired New Haven Pizza but definitely on par with "pretty good" New York pizza. I mean this as a complement, there are entire states without a pizza that rises to this level. The huge size is a hilarious novelty but doesn't cook as evenly- get the middle size for the best out of this pizza. Also, not a lot of convenient pickup street parking spots, plan accordingly.

It is truly the best pizza I have ever had outside of the New York metropolitan area! Ok so just stopped here today. Im from NY and am usually skeptical about people who claim NY pizza. However this was it. I mean it was like thin crust NY pizza, but thats what it taste like. The pizza itself was a job well done. The crust tasted like home to me, and they used the good topping such as the old world style pepperoni. The cheese wasnt quite right for NY style, was kinda stringy unlike the stuff they use in NYC but it was good either way. The anticipation of consuming evry last delicious hot bite of salty spicy pepperoni and grease filled goodness, had me biting into before it could even cool. There service was spot on as well, the staff were helpfull and friendly and the it was fast service, so remember to drop a lil something in the tip jar for these good folks. I gave it 4 stars but i wish i could rate it 4.5 stars cause it is what the place deserves. If u find yourself downtown tampa, grab urself a slice and soda you will not regret it.

Not impressed! Their cheese slices are some of the worst in Tampa recently..super dry like cardboard for at least the past two times I have been here. If you order from here, do not order plain cheese..get something different with toppings. The chicken parm pizza was interesting at least, but it is scary if you cannot get the plain pizza right. So weird since they have so many loyal fans. I also tried medium garlic wings on my last visit...a little pricey, but they went SUPER heavy on the garlic. I didn't mind it, but it would choke a vampire for sure! In the end, I would rather go to Ybor and eat at NYC for a slice...larger, cheaper, and the quality is consistent. I would still eat here, but it is just not amazing, to me, like everyone raves about.

Clean, fast service. Ordered 4 slices for my husband and I. I ordered 1 slice of white and 1 slice of tomato and basil both had fresh ingredients not greasy and not hard. The tomatoes were the perfect consistency and not mushy at all. Loved every bite! Hubby got 1 slice of BBQ and lasagna. I kno he loved it because he barely said a word! Refillable drinks from a machine dispenser and plenty of space to sit. First time there but def won't be my last.

Used to be closest thing to NY pizza you could get for Tampa, but has become very inconsistent, getting stingy with toppings, price is getting ridiculous, always overcooked lately, and you can only get the 20 inch, if you go down in size they have not quite learned how to adjust the dough as it is a totally different pizza, too thick for NY style. Still better than what most people in FL call pizza but for $22 bucks you might be happier saving $14 and get dominos lol

This was my first visit to this lively pizzeria here in the heart of downtown Tampa's business district. This restaurant has multiple dining rooms with plenty of seating. They offer a large selection of pizzas to choose from, all by the slice during the busy lunch hour. The atmosphere is both pleasant and lively and the staff is very helpful. Prices are about average and the food is excellent. Definitely worth a visit when stopping for lunch. Update: A recent visit did not disappoint. The pizza continues to please and I tried the lasagna pizza today and it was fantastic!

Eddie and Sam’s being a small pizza place it sure can be busy. I went with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly busy for going at 3:00 P.M. Eddie and Sam’s does Pizza mainly of multiple sizes and the average wait on a given day is at most 5 minutes for food. I had a single slice as did my friend but everything was finished in under 5 minutes. I would definitely go back to Eddie and Sam’s N.Y Pizza if I was staying downtown again.

The cheese was perfectly melted, the crust was paper thin and the sauce was there to marry it all together. Had the pineapple agua fresca and it was delicious. This IS the best pizza in Tampa!

I was a little put off by the volume of people going thru but can't be mad at a place being popular however when the case that's storing all the pre-made pizzas is being cleaned with spray while the pizzas are in the case that's just poor management. I've been buying by the slice at lunch and their new conveyor oven they use for reheating single slices crisps the crust to the point that it's brittle. Pizza was NY Style which is why we went. Delicious! Quick, courteous service. Price is right. We sat outside however and we were approached 3x by people asking for money or help. I understand the issues we are facing however I had a 5 year old with me and it was 7 30 PM. Was not the bar crowd. Was the dinner crowd. So. Not sure I would return to eat there again.

Pizza was delicious and Huge! We ordered 2 of the 28" pizzas for 8 people and customized it however we wanted (highly recommend the eggplant one). But be careful, as these pizzas are very BIG. Chicken wings were great as well. We had so much leftover pizza and so we shared a few plates with homeless people nearby.

Haven't been here in a few years. Took my wife and kids here also met my sister here. It was all their first time and loved it. Very good pizza. I can't wait to come back with them.

Great pizza! I'm from New Jersey and I love Jersey and New York pizza! So far out of any one down here in 12 years they have to be the closest to the real thing. Still not exactly the same but the best you can find down here! They import their water from New York state which definatly helps the taste of the pizza dough. I live an hour away and any time I am near here I have to stop for pizza. It looks like an upscale New York City pizzeria inside and out. Place is clean and looks new. They offer order in and take out along with lunch specials. Great place to try if you want to get as close to New York pizza by just living in Florida!

Their pizza is amazing! Susan or Suzy rather is amazing. She is truly one of a kind. She is patient, quick, professional and courteous. Let's not forget friendly. We were told when we 1st moved down here that we should try them. Unfortunately took us almost a year before we could get there. Once we did though, we were hooked! Since they are almost always so busy and packed, we have been ordering online and have it ready when we get there! So, not so bad having to deal with the packed store. But, they are packed because they are just that good! Lol. We are from NY, and NY is known for their pizza - this is better than most of the pizza shops in NY! This is a personal testimony.

My favorite pizza restaurant period. A must stop whenever I'm in Tampa or St. Pete. It's not too far off the interstate and you can get in and out pretty quick. The only pain is having to find a parking spot downtown but try the lot in front of the Catholic Cathedral and walk it. You can't go wrong here, different flavor slices for everyone's tastes. My favorite is their buffalo chicken slice.

Delicious, delicious pizza. What makes it so good is they import their water from Brooklyn. We could not believe how much of a difference it makes in the dough. They have a great selection of different pizza and they put a lot of toppings on each. The atmosphere is just OK here, nothing special nothing fancy. You don't need that with how good this pizza is. I really like the Coke machine. If one of the newer machines. The parking across the street charges a flat fee of $15. So you my want to find street parking.

Ordered the 14 inch lasagna and 14 inch supreme. When ordering a full pizza it takes roughly 25 minutes, but they make it fresh to order. The pizzas are New York style, large slices and a well cooked crust. The lasagna pizza is my favorite of the two, with creamy ricotta cheese, seasoned meat, sauce and mozzarella. One thing that let me down somewhat was the sauce itself. The pizza as a whole is great, but the sauce needed something more. I felt that the sauce needed seasoning or more time to mature to make it more robust. Other than that one part, the pizzas were delicious and I would gladly go again!

Great New York style pizza. Great crust with a good balance of crispness and chew. Cheese was quality and the sauce and crust had good flavor as well as the toppings. Service was quick and all the employees were friendly. They use water from New york according to them to make the dough. I would highly recommend this place.

Pizza was pretty awesome! 4 of us all had the same opinion. 2 of our friends have eaten pizza in NY and said it's by far the closest so far. We all bought by the slice. So many delicious options to choose from. For being downtown Tampa, I expected to pay nearly double for what they offer. Price is quite fair for what you get! Would definitely recommend and certainly return!

Pizza is amazing! My only dislike is the Tiramisu cake- it was like pudding. It's served in a small, plastic bowl. Not even close to being Tiramisu. I think management should consider taking it off the menu. Outside of that- food is really good.

Great pizza and great service. Its downtown, so the parking sucks. If you go during lunch time, its gets pretty nuts, but it's worth it. I remember going there in the early two thousands and it has really changed since then. Bigger, cleaner, and more space to sit and enjoy your pizza. Definitely recommend the place.

Love Eddie and Sam's! Used to come here often with the kids on the way to bolt's games pre-pandemic. So wonderful to finally get back out on this beautiful Saturday and enjoy some amazing pizza!!

We were there when the All-State music students (band, orchestra, and chorus) were all let out for dinner. At first, we were concerned about the line that went out the door, but after reassurances from other patrons, many of whom were associated with All-State, the line did go quickly. We might have waited a total of 20 minutes once we were inside to when we ordered. The pizza was delicious, especially the Sicilian and the buffalo chicken pizzas. Very reasonably priced. It is definitely worth subsequent visits.

Pizza is always great, service is speedy if not a bit gruff but that adds to the ":charm". They churn through serious amounts of customers and pizza. Great pizza option if you go with several people as everyone can just pick and choose what kind of slices they want-they seriously have 20-30 different choices at any given time. Despite long lines never seem to have wait all that long to order and get your food.

First time here. Pizza was very good. Had the buffalo chicken, cheese, and a supreme slice. Got wings as well which were good. Will definitely be back with the family to try them again.

EASILY the best pizza I have ever had. They’re always packed for lunch but the line moves super fast. I walk a mile each way for this pizza, past other pizza shops. That’s how good it is. Their spinach and ricotta slices are my favorite! I cannot say enough good things about Eddie and Sams!

So I have been coming her for the past 4 years and while it started out great I used to drive 30 minutes to come here the quality has fallen big time the past 6 months. The crust now is so thin its difficult to do the iconic fold. Sauce and Cheese is now so sparring its lost most flavor. I will try it again when I'm downtown but its not worth any special trips now to go and grab a couple slices.

For some reason we always find that the pizza shops in downtown anywhere are the best. Eddie and Sam's is no exception. My wife and I always try something different because the selection is huge. This time my wife ordered the white and Sicilian pizza. The white had a nice garlic taste with big dollop of ricotta. The Sicilian had a nice crunch on all the edges. I chose the Brooklyn and the meat lovers. The Brooklyn was chicken and bacon. The meat lovers was my favorite. It was loaded with sausage, ham, pepperoni and meatballs. It was a pretty hefty slice. We also ordered one cheese slice because it's a tradition. Would highly recommend Eddie and Sam's to anyone.

Easy to see why this is a busting place. Many varieties of good pizza by the slice or whole, a few other Italian entree menu items, served inexpensively and quickly in a deli style line...downtown in a big city. It's not as good, though, as pizza made to order, say like Mellow Mushroom.

I've had pizza all over the U.S. and none are as good as Eddie and Sam's for the price. There's a reason this place manages 4.7 stars across 1800 reviews. It really is that great. You might have slightly better tasting pizza elsewhere (slightly) but it will be way more expensive. A huge slice of buffalo chicken and a garlic knot? $3.50. Can't beat that and it tastes AMAZING.

Normally excellent pizza. This one time the taste was off. However, the staff can be a bit friendlier. The New York attitudes can be dropped. In Florida you treat others nice and are respectful. If I want NYC attitude I'll go back home. Note: no one was disrespectful. Just the cold unfriendly vibe from the staff behind the counter.

Eddie and Sam’s is my favorite pizza place in all of Tampa. One night, I was with my dog and couldn’t find parking anywhere nearby and I didn’t feel safe to leave the car running blocks from Eddie’s, so I brought him with. I called my order ahead, the cashier said she could help me out and it wasn’t an issue at all. She was so kind and definitely the reason I’m writing this review. They do a great job with their customer service and it seems to me to be a great job from the top down.

The best pizza in Tampa and surrounding areas.Just had it for the first time and wow wish we lived nearby to have it weekly ! Definitely will be visiting again. Priced right and the bathrooms were immaculate went there after a run wasn't expecting that. Had the BBQ Chicken pizza and hubby had brooklyn bridge pizza.

I love this place. I am a born and raised jersey guy and know good New York style pizza when I taste it. I am in love with this place and it’s the only pizza place downtown I will order from. Highly recommended! They also offer a huge 28’ pie. Enjoy!

Hands down the best Pizza in Tampa. Served in a traditional NY pizza shop fashion. Tons of fresh options and large hot slices. If you haven't tried it yet, it's worth the trip. Parking kind of sucks though, but that's no reflection on the fantastic food served here.

Here are a few things I liked about Eddie's. First, it feels like a local pizza joint. Second, they have some BIG pizza slices. I had one and my friend had 2. Third, it was a casual place to eat. You could eat outside or chill inside. My guy recommended it so we are here and caught up with each other. So I feel this is a good place to spend with family and friends, eat good pizza and still have conversation and a good time. The pizza was a little greasy, but the actually taste of it was really good. I enjoyed my slice!
