After friends are at the St Pete location and highly recommended Dead Bob's, I decided to add it to my "Want to go" list. When I searched, I was happy to find a location a bit closer for us. It's a small location and the inside was packed, so we grabbed a table on the patio. The service was a bit slow to notice us but once they did, they were attentive. The fried pot roast was so good, we are it up before even thinking to get a picture. My better half liked it so much, she got the pot roast dinner, and I chose the Shepherds Pie. Both were fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed ourselves. The only draw back, the blue patio lighting made the food look disgusting when it arrived, but lighting it up with our cell phone flashlight revealed a much tastier looking meal. Lol!

Stopped in for our first time since moving to the area. The place was packed and only a few tables open. Staff was super nice and immediately spotted me and offered to sit at any open table. The waiter came over as soon as I sat down and was quick and attentive. We got the Parm dinner , fried pot roast app, fried pickles app and the onion rings and a few drinks. Everything came out quickly! The Parm dinner was really good as well as the friend pot roast and pickles. We were not super fans of the onion rings but they were not bad. The drinks were cold and quickly brought to us. Parking was our only hiccup after a few rounds in the parking lot and realizing no one was coming out to leave we parked across the street at the bank and kept an eye out for the tow truck 😆. Looking forward to returning and becoming a regular!

Hole-in-the-wall bar with the most FANTASTIC food!! Our first time here and definitely not our last. The place was so packed, walking in was a little intimidating. A crowd chatting just inside the door, drinking and standing around a small table. Pushed past them to see a table waiting to be claimed on the other side of the room. After taking it for our own, we were greeted quickly with a lovely smile, given menus and our drink order was taken. Even though every table was full and the bar was stacked we had amazing service. Never an empty glass and everyone came over to check on us, even the cook! Smiling, friendly faces that were more than happy to share their favorite menu recommendations. Tried the Pretzel Sticks; warm, chewy and soft, served with beer cheese sauce and spicy mustard. So yummy. Fish and Chips; crisp, flavorful batter surrounding a flaky, white fish. Cooked so expertly there was absolutely no oil in or on the basket. Fantastic! The Classic Chicken Sandwich, ordered grilled; tender, juicy and simply amazing. Added a pound of Steamed Shrimp and couldn't believe how huge the shrimp were or the portion size. Plump, steamed perfectly and seasoned well. This was most definitely a stellar addition to our meal. Had a few cocktails that were a great pour and a deal. Dead Bob's Too is a diamond in the rough.

Visiting Tampa over the weekend. We prefer locally owned pubs. We were drawn in by the sign out front. Dead Bob’s too. This has got to be good. It was awesome. Friendly bartenders, especially Kayla. Food was terrific, prices fair and we had a ball. Definitely will return.

UPDATE: Just 2 weeks later, my meal was dismal. Once again got blackened salmon dish med-rare. Got rice this time. Rice was a little bland, broccoli limp and undercooked, and salmon ASSASSINATED: A thin, flat hockey puck (thinner, really) that was EXTRA-WELL. A "salmon cracker." Partner got fish and chips, two HUGE pieces. But when I got it last week, ONE huge piece and one 1/3rd piece. 😔 Service still great, but have to take off 2 solid stars for such food inconsistencies! First time today going on a Saturday nite, so they were busy... but *this* level of meal inconsistency is unreasonable still. Plus, they never (ever) seem to answer the phone. So I can't get this right til tomorrow. I trust that the WONDERFUL people there will redo - and get it perfect like the first time! ORIGINAL: Got the blackened salmon medium-rare with broccoli and fries. DELICIOUS and cooked just right. Nice and sizable salmon fillet, cooked surprisingly well for what looks to be a dive. Nice, helpful bartenders/servers, great drink made (white Russian), though I should've asked for an extra splash of Bailey's and two extra splashes of kahlua. Fish and chips is GREAT, and fish is HUGE. Great deal for $10. The yellow rice is surprisingly tasty! I'll have to get it next time. Usually rice sides are a bit bland. But they ASSASSINATED my partner's red snapper. EXTREMELY TOUGH hunk of "meat" that definitely would've been sent back for a redo if we'd eaten in. Definitely wouldn't get that again, even with special cooking instructions. The canned beer was also thoroughly lackluster (blonde ale and coffee porter), although our server described the sugar and cream porter as "delicious." 😏 Giving them a solid 4.5 stars.

I really wanted to give it five stars but one thing keeps me from it. The food and service were great but those blue led lights on the patio are awful. We ate there last night and my eyes still hurt this morning. And a big part of enjoying food is how it looks. When you have blue lights it sucks the color out of everything. The cheese that came with the pretzels looks like chocolate pudding under those lights. The mustard looks grey and pretty much everything else did too. So as much as we enjoyed the food and the vibe I couldn't go back there. I'd seriously consider replacing those.

This is our favorite place to grab a quick and delicious meal. Sarah literally knows our order by heart and greets us with a huge smile every time she takes care of us. Amazing prices, huge portions and exceptional service. This is our favorite local spot in South Tampa. We always bring friends and family here when they visit too! 10/10 👍

Been to Dead Bob's many times in St. Petersburg many time so was happy to see a location in Tampa. Always great food with unbeatable prices. Generally get food here once or twice a week. Definitely recommend to locals or if you're in town for a few days.

Absolutely one of the BEST chicken Philly sandwiches! The Philly egg rolls are a 10/10!! The service is great and there's plenty of parking. This is the same as the location in St Pete. They have plenty of parking and plenty of seating! Kristi and Kelly are the absolute best!!! Ask for them!! They will treat you great!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly highly recommend!!!

Wonderful neighborhood local restaurant and bar with both inside and outside hightop seating. A vast menu is nice and there are daily specials. The food is remarkably great for a small grill & bar! Went on a busy Sunday afternoon, yet we were seated right away and the food and service were quick! Food was solid. The fish in the fish n chips is breaded and even though I prefer fish battered it was made well and very yummy. The fries are crispy and seasoned. Cauli bites are 👌🏻Great rum runners. Very Florida feel. Tons of TVs with a bunch of different games on. Perfect place to chill.

Went for the first time on April 9, 2022. The food was excellent. I had the salmon dinner. It came with yellow rice and broccoli. They even managed to make broccoli taste good. My husband had the Big Bob with fries. For the appetizer I chose the fried pot roast, we loved it. We will definitely be back.

I think it’s about time I leave this place a review. I always take friends, family and clients to Dead Bob’s. The atmosphere is always great vibes and they always put on the local games or current sports you’re expecting to watch. Staff is super welcoming and very friendly. Not bad. Good ambiance, friendly bartenders, Shannon definitely great. Got the Philly beef cheesesteak, says Amoroso roll (been a while since I had a fresh one from the bakery), but was actually pretty good. The fries I got were so hot that I have never gotten fries that hot anywhere, ever, so kudos to the kitchen staff. Reasonably priced and easy to get to. Parking can be a challenge but if you have 2 feet you should be ok. Nice outside seating to as well as small inside long bar and a couple high tops.

I'd say this is a place to come watch games with a good crowd, however, they don't really seem setup to be able to accommodate the amount of business they get. Overall sense I got was chaotic and a little disorganized. Food is just meh in my opinion (lacked flavor and inspiration) -prices are pretty great , however. Server was trying her best, but food, drinks and napkins took almost an hour to arrive. I think the buffalo shrimp needs to go back to the drawing board.

I had the meatloaf, which is their Monday special. It came with mashed potatoes with brown gravy and steamed broccoli. It was good, but tore up my stomach an hour later. I wonder if it had MSG in the seasoning... Hubby had grilled salmon with yellow rice and broccoli. It was a nice sized fillet and he really enjoyed it. Service was great, and you can't beat their prices. Meatloaf dinner was $8 and salmon was $11.

A real treat for a touristy place that is down-to-earth in their prices and above the Earth in their menu offerings especially with their seafood it is downright delicious and a hearty portion for what your paying I would recommend it to anybody anytime anywhere. The blackened snapper is what I had today and I would definitely recommend that for anybody they have scallops for less than $10 day out shrimp for less than $10 as was this operate less than $10

Friendly staff. Parking lot entrance can be a little tricky if coming from the south at a busy intersection. The best margarita that I've had in a long, long time. The appetizers were okay (unique but nothing special).

Great BAR, great staff, burgers were way undercooked and the onion rings batter completely fell off the onion as soon as you pick it up.....tricky parking lot..ill give it another try someday as theres no way a place can have this many great reviews and the food be consistantly bad....again great staff and seemingly great watering hole for locals. 3% cash discount is a plus
