Enjoyed the pepperoni and bacon most (the bacon bits were nice) the chicken and pineapple was odd, but so was my companion's decision to get it. Service was very good. A bit slow to receive, but I don't complain when the food comes out hot.(it seemed takeout orders were a priority) half the staff were wearing masks.

I've always thought of the Bay to Bay location as the best, but I have to give it to the Tampa Palms location. Friendly and prompt service. Our order was perfect and not fussy. Not only did out waiter come to check on us, but so did the manager. The pizza was everything I'd expect of a cappy's pizza and arguably the best I've had, although the food is reliably very good whenever I go. The only downside was a really loud party a few tables away combined with the really high ceilings seemed to make a loud group really loud! No complaint against the store, just an observation for informational purposes. Also, they accept cards so I didn't get nailed by the ATM machine! Highly recommended!

Great deep dish Chicago style here. Get the small so it won't be mushy in the middle. Caesar salad was great as well. Wasn't impressed by the breadsticks or dipping sauce. Overall a great spot to put into the rotation

Our waitress was super awesome and friendly! Made the experience that much more worth the visit. We got the calzone and a deep dish veggie. Oh my goodness! Both entrees were HUGE and delicious. Need I say more? Just order those and you'll know what I'm talking about! We also ordered a different type of pizza made with a focaccia like bread as seen on third image from a different visit. It was a margarita pizza. It was very good too!

My girlfriend and I have been here several times the food is always been good with quality ingredients we have a customized Cappy or the Pig with a spinach salad that is a really good combo . Both Sahara and Brian have always taken great care to make the best of our visit. Good place dine/ take out

My wife, mom, and I loved this place! We ordered three small Chicago style pizzas. A cheese, a cappys, and a custom. Me personally, I prefer New York style pizzas but my wife had never had a Chicago style and so I had to educate her! If you eat from here please do yourself a service and dine in! The environment is everything you want in a pizza joint. Memorabilia, low lighting, the smell of pizza. It’s beautiful. The pizza was delicious! I will say unless you are for certain you are hungry, go with a small Chicago. It’s a thiccc with three c’s 9inch. I ate one slice and was full. I am actually oven warming up a piece as I write this review and Im going to top it with a fried egg. If you are in the area and want to try a great pizza place I can’t recommend cappys enough!

Cappy's is the local place to get great pizza and some of the best salads you can get in a restaurant. The greek salad is to die for and the dressing is so good we buy it as they sell it. Staff is friendly and no place gets the food out quicker. Prices are good but it is a great place to eat.

The atmosphere was great. You can play with old trivial pursuit cards while you wait for your food. The menus are made from old vinyl record album covers. They serve New York style pizza as well as Chicago style. We tried both and they were awesome. The service was top notch too. It's a nice, quiet family place for amazing pizza.

Along with the Seminole Heights location, the location at Tampa Palms offers vegan cheese (it's Violife brand, coconut based and it's excellent). They don't have tempeh here like Seminole Heights but the pizza is top notch, vegan or otherwise. Hands down the best Chicago style pizza this side of Chicago, and the staff is great. They even brought us a vegan cheese sample to try and told us all about it. Hopefully, all Cappy's locations will become omnivore and vegan friendly along with the first two and continue making the best pizza in Tampa Bay!

I wasn't sure what to expect when ordering a deep dish from here, I am from IL originally and had high standards. In fairness, they have a really good product, their staff was more than nice, and helpful. My one thing that stopped from the big 5, is I found the sauce a little watery which made the toppings slip and slide and when getting a piece 1/4 of the cheese would slip off. I will order from here again 100%

Cappys pizza has always been my favorite. I just ordered there a few days ago and I don’t know if it’s because it’s carryout but the pizza didn’t taste like it did before. I will try again soon because I honestly have never had an issue before at cappys, the food has always been delicious maybe it was just this time. Best Chicago style pizza that I've found in New Tampa/WesChap area. Good flavorful crust, excellent sauce, thick layer of toppings. Simple combinations that remind me of pizzas that I liked in Louisville. A large "The Cappy" was just shy of $25 and I am stuffed after two slices. Great value for pizza that I really like!

I'm obsessed with this place here. It's very close to the pizza I would have in MA. The servers are really cool and the atmosphere boss very laid back with a little jock vibe to it. But the pizza, omg! Really good with a good balance of sauce and cheese. The crust is nice and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I highly recommend this place for your pizza.

Just made my first-ever visit to Cappy's and I can confidently say that it will not be my last. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The food was good with minimal wait time. The star feature was, without a doubt, the amazing customer service. A very special shout to Savannah, who's warm personality made the whole experience exceptional. This place is absolutely wonderful! They accidentally forgot to put in our order because it got incredibly busy, but it was no problem because the workers here are so kind and handled it very well. Jeremy especially is awesome! And honestly I don't think I have ever been treated so well by servers. Food is absolutely amazing too, had the Chicago style pizza and it was delicious. 10/10 place would definitely recommend.

Pizza was great and service was excellent (Brian was our server)! We got the NY style pizza with just cheese for $9.50 (large-they had a special going on) and a good sized white sangria for $5. Both were excellent tasting and a great value!!

Pizza is good....definitely worth a second trip. I was hoping for a little more on the menu. If you're in the mood for JUST pizza this is the place to be. Loved the music vibes & the atmosphere. We went and got food on a Sunday which was really slow for eat-in customers, but we were never forgotten about despite being the only present guests...and our waiter was super attentive despite the lack of dine in customers.

Have only ordered take out in the past and it has been terrific. Today decided to try the 5.99 lunch special (2 1-topping slices and a fountain drink). Also ordered a side green salad which was additional. Such a delicious and freshly made salad. And their dressing is so good. I think it is now available for sale "to go". And delicious pizza (I had one with pepperoni and another with mushroom). Sometimes when you order slices you expect then to be not as good as a whole our since they may have been made in advance. Not true with these slices. The crust was as delicious and crispy as any take out pie I have ordered. So good!!!

Yummmmm, came after googling "Best pizza in Tampa area" and finding this on top. They have both Chicago style and NY style pizza. And it is so delicious. The place is really nicely decorated. They have a good selection of craft beer. And the staff was great as well.

One of the best New York style pizza in Tampa. The pizza is soft with a crusty outside and the price is fair. (We got a large supreme pizza for around $25.) The atmosphere is like American pickers personally decorated it and there are 1970s trivia questions.

A good variation of Chicago pizza for Florida, not quite up to the standards of the original but still tasty. Personally I think the crust is kind of dry but still overall better than the chains or most other local pizza joints which around this area tend to be more of the New York variety. It takes a long time so if you are in a hurry or are there with younger kids probably a good idea to call ahead with your order.

We went to Cappy's on Father's day and it wasn't bad. The New York style pizza tasted great but the Chicago deep dish was very lacking. Felt like they took a pizza and stuffed it into a deep dish pan to make us think it was a "deep dish" pizza. There was only one server for all the tables in the place. When we asked for lemons for our drinks the waiter told us that he didn't have time to cut lemons for us. He was very nice and helpful...when we could flag him down though.

I don't see how anyone could hate this place or give it less than 4 stars. Been going here for 2 years and the service along with the food is fantastic. The food is definitely fresh and correctly sized. Anyone that complains about either probably expected it to be wine & dine and wanted to get a discount since they are a Google reviewer. All other pizza doesn't compare to this. Jeremy Gloff is an amazing waiter. Check out his music too, it's the BOMB.

Highly recommend this place for anybody who likes New York style pizza. My go-to is 'The Cappy' it's their take on a supreme pizza. I'm not sure if they do delivery or not but I live close enough to where I go pick it up myself. The indoor dining area is also kept very clean and it's very quaint. it's a good spot to take the girlfriend or the kids anytime of the day

I've been to this shopping center countless times and can't believe I didn't see this place sooner. Delicious pizza! We got a Hawaiian pizza (takeout) and it was fingerlickin' good! I was really worried, because pizza sometimes makes me really sick and for the second time in about a year I ate pizza without feeling nauseous. Also, the place is decorated really nicely. Definitely recommend!

One of the few good pizzeria places in New Tampa. The restaurant has a relaxed feel and has a unique decor. Staff is friendly and attentive, the food is good, and the prices are reasonable. The pizza is thin crust. The sauce is on-point, the toppings are great, but the crust is tough to chew.

Only been here once. Got a large pepperoni Chicago style. Kind of a cross between pizza and lasagna. I've never had that style before so I don't know how that compares to what you would get in Chicago. It was decent but I wouldn't get it again from here.

Pizza is why we LIVE here on Earth, and Cappy's is why we LOVE pizza! On my very first visit to Cappy's, I knew I had found Pizza Heaven. You enter the dining room and at once you are enveloped by that intoxicating pizzeria aroma. The booths are comfortable and you can drink beer and/or wine while you enjoy the amazing wall art and anticipate your pizza. I ordered NY-style pizza by the slice (one plain and one pepperoni). The pizza was freshly-made, hot enough to burn the roof of your mouth, and delicious. The crust was thin and sexy. The sauce was tangy and sexy. The cheese was stringy and (you-guessed-it!). This is exactly what I missed most after moving to Tampa from Eastern Massachusetts. Cappy's pizza has similarities to the well-known and beloved New England chain, "Papa Gino's". Try it yourself and oh yeah, in Tampa Palms they are open for lunch with specials.

Food was great! We got a pepperoni pizza and an order of cheesy bread. Only complaint is the small menu. Would have been nice to be able to get some wings. Perhaps it is the lack of a large menu that makes them able to turn out quality food. I’ll definitely be back!
