Absolutely love this restaurant!! It's definitely on the small side, creating sometimes long wait times however they are worth it. It's a 2 hour all you can eat, they have different type of meal packages but honestly I recommend just going with the hot pot and Korean barbecue. It is worth the higher price. They have seafood options, beef, pork, and lamb options, different types of eggs, and chicken. Which is all raw and you cook at your table. Then they have many different sauces and some seasonings to pick from for your broth or meats. There is also a conveyor belt that goes to each table with different kinds of noodles, vegetables, dumplings and other side dishes. Then they also have a few ice creams to pick from as a dessert. However, I do not recommend going with a party over 6 people, they do not exactly have the room, set up or tables to handle a party larger than 6. They still handle it best to their abilities but if you want a shorter wait time and to guarantee your group stays together, stick to 6 or less people. The atmosphere is busy, but not loud making it pretty family friendly and kinda cozy. The service has always been good and efficient. It's a very good place for a really nice meal.

Took the kiddos to a hot pot restaurant. I have been to South Korea many times and this place is pretty good. There are many protein options and the veggies are being run in a conveyor belt. It's actually different from what I have experienced in Seoul. Great place for a Korean BBQ and Hot Pot in Tampa Bay.

I recommend coming here to enjoy some hot boil soup on cold and rainy days in Florida. They give you many soup options and a lot of meat selections if you want to try the korean BBQ. The price is pretty reasonable and there’s a lot of options of meats, fish/octopus/crabs balls, meats, and a lot of noodles/vegetables to choose from. However, some of the meats/seafood balls doesn’t look fresh and looks like it’s been sitting there for a while. The service here is really good because the waitress keep checking up on us. But, they have those conveyor belt which make it easier for us to choose our noodles/vegetables to put in our soups. They also have ice cream for dessert.

My son and I were pleasantly surprised during our visit for lunch today. Cleanliness - 9 out of 10 Food Options - 10 out of 10 Food Quality - 9 out of 10 Service - 8 out of 10 Cost - $$$$(4) out of $$$$$(5) @$79.99 TOTAL for two adults w/drinks and desert w/tip @$90+ It took a second for us to orient ourselves to the environment because there were so many options to include cold bar with meat, seafood, spices and sauces. There was also soup served at table, with rotating vegetables and sides options on a conveyer belt. The soup was amazing, served hot as a base, and options to add spices, sauces and seasoning at your own pace and flavor. The grill and soup burners at the table were intuitive and easy to use, the burners had defaults that made it nearly impossible to burn your food. Overall rating 5 out of 5 STARS. It’s pricey, but worth the dime. We had a GREAT Experience!

Excellent spread for both the hot pot and the bbq. Great array of sauces and condiments. Excellent service. The ONLY reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the tables are a little cramped and the conveyor system for the vegetables/noodles can be a little inconvenient to get to if you aren't sitting right by it. But the food, broth, sauces and service were all excellent. If you like Korean bbq or hot pot, you can't go wrong here.

Went here for my Birthday and it was absolutely amazing. The convaver belt with the sides was fun and convenient. The selection was more than enough. Overall enjoyable time. We did the hot pot and Korean BBQ. You have to try it! Highly recommed.

Really fresh food and good selection of sea food and meats. The reason I rated four stars was because the Korean BBQ was not available due to broken grills. The kimchi was also very good. Highly recommend for hotpot!

You pick your base at the table,then choose your meats and sauces buffet style and throw them in the pot. There's a conveyor belt that goes around the restaurant and you can grab veggies, pastas and other items to add to your boil. There's also a griddle and you can cook your meats on that. Over all it was a good experience. I was nervous bc of the food on the conveyor being out and going around the room, but I figured it's going into a pot to boil, so 🤷🏾‍♀️. Also, everyone was handling the same utensils to grab the items on the buffet made me nervous, but before handling my food I sanitized my hands and kept it moving. My hot pot came out amazing!!!! Even better the next day! The place appeared clean and everyone was nice. The only thing that took a star away is the fact that I had to pay to take my leftovers home after spending $85. They charge you based on how much is left in the pot and I think that's crazy.

My wife is from Beijing and misses having a hot pot experience so we visited Boil Spot in Tampa for her birthday. This all-you-can-eat experience is one of the best since moving here from Austin TX two years ago. Fresh ingredients for bbq and hot pot. The restaurant allows up to two hours of unlimited eating and as hard as we tried we lasted about an hour before tapping out. This is a must-try. One suggestion for management. Please move the ice cream bar to the section that is visible for people dining in the restaurant. We did not see all the wonderful choices of ice cream available until we were leaving…hence the four stars.

Great Hotpot restaurant! The atmosphere is very pleasant and cute! The sauce bar is the best one I've seen in a long time! The meat options for KBBQ was a good amount, which is surprising because usually places focus more on Hotpot and not enough on BBQ. The conveyor belt was a nice touch, but it was a little confusing because there was no labels and some things took a long time to show up. Luckily the servers are fantastic and got everything I didn't see for me. Overall it's a great place to go!

Loved this place! Tom, our waiter, went above and beyond for us! He brought us warm water to make our baby a bottle and even looked after our BBQ while my husband fed her! The lady clearing the tables was super helpful and walked us through the menu! The food, atmosphere, and service were all A+++! We will be back!

I went here for lunch alone, I have only done hotpot once before so I was a little lost but the staff are very polite and helpful! I chose the medium spicy soup base which was delicious and they have a lot of different ingredient options including meats, seafood, veggies, noodles, tofu, and eggs. If you are doing dine-in, you can also get a small serving of ice cream for free which was a nice touch! My meal came out to about $35 after tax and I got to eat plenty of food! Great place and I hope I can go again soon 😁

Had a positive 1st experience, had the hot pot and BBQ grill options. I enjoyed my experience with the server and quality was very good. For first timers I recommend the pork bone soup for broth and trying the beef bulgogi for sure! Overall I recommend this experience for both dates and family gatherings. Will for sure come back again. Money well spent.

It's Asian style, It was 3 of us eating from the hotpot & grill for $32.00 a person. There's this conveyor table, with small plate bowls of every veggie u can think of going by you grab whichever u like. You cook your own food at the table. It's safe u won't get burned on the grill nor the pot. There's scallops,frog legs,head on shrimp,head off shrimp,beef other than steak, beef tripe, pork, fish, chicken too much to mention. It was crowded Sunday, & seats many ppl. lots of friendly waitress. Dress casual & enjoy yourself.

First time here today and was great. Took the advice of another review and asked for rice. Everything was fresh, meat options were good. Vivian was our server and very helpful and explained cooking times and how to's. She kept our soup pots full and our grill fresh. We plan to come back

I stopped by looking to try something new and was pleasantly surprised. There was a refrigerated buffet for various meats, and a conveyor belt kept a steam of vegetables, noodles, and mushrooms passing by. The waitress who assisted me was named Wen. She was attentive at keeping my pot full of broth so that it would not run out. My only suggestion for improvement would be to install a soda fountain so that guests do not need to purchase multiple cans to drink. But in my opinion that is barely a complaint. 10/10 will be going again!

The beginning of the year was better than how it is now. We recently dined here a few days ago and now there’s a sign that says “only 1 1/2 hours”. Although, we did finish in time, it just felt like we had to “rush” or we get kicked out if we didn’t eat in that hour and half. The ingredients on the belt weren’t as fresh as it was before. On the other hand, the service is still good and they upgraded the look of the menu. I believe the price has gone up a few dollars as well.

It was definitely an experience. Not sure that it was exactly worth it for the price that we paid. We ate very little and didn’t even know we could order rice. Told the staff that it was our first time and no real tips or tricks. The staff was kind of cold. Food was ok, my favorite thing was the bulgogi beef. Still disappointed about the rice… it would’ve paired well with my soup!! But essentially you’re paying $35 per person to cook your own food. If you’ve never tried it, give it a shot, you might love it. It fell flat for me!

Food is good. They are a little uptight on policies. I drove with my wife and went inside to get a table and they would not seat us until she was physically in the restaurant, even though I told the hostess we drove together. Kind of stupid if you ask me. The bill has checkbooks for 18, 20, 22% gratuity which seems presumptive as you have to pick up and cook your own food.

If you feel like cooking your own dinner in a fun way with a lot of choices, this is a must do (budget depending). The hot pot ($25 per person) plus Korean table BBQ ($5 adder per person) is all you can eat, raw food buffet. There's a sauce bar and your choices here will determine if your meal is flavorful as the broths have very little flavor, except bland or spicy. Broth refills come around bot are plain and you'll have to continue to add sauces to keep flavor. The moving carousel of veggies and raw noodles are handle but not necessarily sanitary. Make sure to cook everything properly (instruction sheet is provided). We thought the quality of everything was great and the service was fantastic. Several tables had broken BBQ grills and customers were disappointed. Hopefully that's not common.

Hands down my current favorite restaurant. So much so I went for my birthday dinner. The selection of meats is diverse and you don't have to order some obnoxious platter of meats. Also, the conveyor belt is so neat!

Fantastic place! Did the hot pot/bbq combo. I've had the hot pot at another location but here the pot is dug into the table as opposed to being flat on top. The bbq was also great, good options and full of flavor. Hot pot has a bunch of selections of seafood and your typical meat options beef/pork/lamb, and of course you have your selection of sauces and spices.

One of the best all-you-can-eat seafood places around, huge shrimp and crawfish. Can be very intimidating your first time, so recommend going during the week. I wish more things were labeled (vegetables on conveyor belt and some of the side items). But will definitely be back!

I appreciate that this place offers both KBBQ and Hot Pot instead of one or the other. You can order Hot Pot on its own or the combo option. I'm not a big soup person but I used the soup broth to cook the potstickers that came on the conveyer belt before cooking the edges on the grill. They also offer some really good meat selections, and the ribs and bulgogi were my favorite. I like that they had parchment paper on the grill to keep it cleaner and came to change it out when it got to dark and sticky each time, you just have to ask for it. Our service was great and will be returning in the future.

Boil spot is gonna be your go to when you don’t know what to eat! It has a variety of soup base, meat and vegetables options. I bet there’s gonna be one that you want! Overall it’s a very good experience and I will definitely come here again!

I had a good experience here on my last visit. Was a little confused at first but trust me when I tell you get the all you can eat. Pick your soup base and then get your proteins at the buffet bar. All the veggies come on a conveyor belt to which you add to your soup. The BBQ is good as well but if it's your first time it can be difficult trying to manage your soup and BBQ at the same time. I have only four stars as I found the service to be a little lacking.

We have been going to this place since it opened. The variety and selection of food has since decreased. They no longer have blue crabs, enoki mushrooms, and small dessert cakes. I will say their sauces and seasoning is the closest to what I'm used to from China.

With tax and no tip, the BBQ is about $30 per person. Not cheap but the value is good. I was disappointed that they don't give a Military discount, but the quality of the food made up for it. I expect to go again. Get the BBQ. It is well worth it. It is an all you can eat buffet meet Korean BBQ. Even has a conveyor belt the takes your add one right past your table. It also has ice cream for dessert.

Fantastic!!!! Five stars is not enough!!!! I love Boil Spot! They have a great selection of high quality meats for the hot pot and the BBQ. Don't pass on the Korean BBQ if you go, it's only a little bit more and we'll worth it. You must make sure you ask for the short ribs!!! The staff has to bring those out to you. They are worth the price alone. Definitely delicious! The items on the conveyor belt are very good and fresh!!!

First off I love the conveyor belt of food. Is it gimmicky? Maybe. I don't care; I love it. Secondly I've been to at least three hot pot places in the Tampa area and this is my favorite. The food is really fresh, the buffet/sauce area is kept clean, and it seems as if all the BBQ grills and soup stoves are in working order. Great selection of hot pot ingredients and large selection of meats for BBQ. And the sauce selection is extensive!

My favorite all you can eat restaurant in Tampa. You can cook and grill your food on your table. The whole experience is so fun! My husband and I enjoy our meal each time we dine there. Staffs are really sweet and attentive. Highly recommended!

This is a great restaurant to go for a birthday party. They have a lot of food and it’s all fresh it’s a lot of fun to go with your friends and cook together. You can have hot pot or a table with a hot pot and grill. I prefer the hotspot personally. They do have a few ingredients that are definitely for those that are very adventurous like duck blood, Frog legs and tripe. They also have a lot of sauces that are awesome. The grill meat has a Korean seasoning. However do not expect to have Korean food accompaniments as the only thing they have is kimchee as a side item. I’m just making this, and because I’m used to eating an Korean barbecue restaurants overseas.

When we arrived I immediately went to the restroom. When I returned my companion had been seated and our sever was waiting to take my drink order. She stood there glaring at me while I tried to put on my glasses to look at the menu. I felt so rushed I blurted out a soft drink when I really wanted an alcoholic beverage. She proceeds to immediately ask what base for the hot pot. I felt like saying idk give me a freaking minute to look at the menu, but didn't. Instead I blurted out the only option I heard which was bone broth. I still don't know what is on the menu as she snatched it up immedately. If I had time to look and think I would have much preferred the tomato base, which my companion ordered after he had time to look at the menu. There are signs stating you are not allowed to stay more than 1.5 hours and also signs warning of an extra charge for wasted food. The hot pot items were on a rotisserie and there were no labels for each item. I didn't know what a lot of them were so I didn't try them for fear of being charged extra. It was expensive enough for what it was. All in all a cool place to dine once if you are on a time line. Not the place for a relaxed dinner and conversation. They want to get you out asap.

This place is great. I wish there were better options in my town that were like this. The selection was really good, the atmosphere was high energy and we'll organized. At fist the experience was overwhelming, but friends helped guide us through the experience. The service was great, our server helped us with the grill and empty plates did not sit on the table for long! The food was delicious, we went all out and did the grill and hot pot, and it was well worth the per person charge. For two we were out the door for about $70 but I will go back. Shut up and take my money!

Great Vegan option. Absolutely Loved their Mushroom soup (only vegan soup base they have). Many vegetables options and great tofu options too. The two hours limit is more than enough. The sauces bar was great too. Had a blast and will definitely come back to it.

From the ambience, Staff, hygiene and option in their buffet it was a top notch for me. And I have been to other one in St Pete, Dallas, TX and Los Angeles, CA and I would pyt this one near the top. Will definitely return.

Our first hot pot experience but won't be our last. We enjoyed the variety of quality meats, sides and yummy sauces for the hot pot and grill. The only complaints would be the kimchi wasn't to our liking and the only sodas were from a can. We got there early for dinner and the service was good, but as they got busy, we had to hunt down staff to get refills of drinks and soup. Also included an 18% service charge on top of pretty high prices and then asked for a tip as well, so pay attention to your bill. We were a large party, so they may not do that for smaller parties. Visit 3: Only got the Hot pot this time (Although the KBBQ was only a $4 upgrade) and really enjoyed everything. For me I had a better overall experience. The waitress was great, the sides and soup bases were fantastic (love the Pork and Mushroom bases). The kimchi was also much better this time. Some of the best I've had. Loved the combo of mushroom base and pork belly and lamb. It has gotten better, but probably not a 5 yet. But we will be back!

This spot is very well ran and the variety in concept is great. It is a Korean boil restaurant. Very similar to fondue with broth to cook your meats in. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and the wait staff was fast and efficient.

You can’t go wrong with all you can eat especially when you can do hot pot and bbq. You get to pick your own meat by going to the counter and choosing your own cut. Many sauce options and the server is friendly.

This was a great experience. I had the hot pot and the all you can eat BBQ. I only wish the wait staff educated me a little more before getting the meal. There were so many options. I overheard another customer educating her companion which was really helpful. Also, next time I will only take a little meat at a time. It was very filling. Everything was delicious. My daughter and I have always wanted to try hot pot so we made an impromptu stop after hitting up the record store down the road. This place is amazing! It was so clean and so quiet, even though the place quickly became filled. Our waitress was extremely helpful as this was our first time and very attentive. Absolute blast! This is one of the few restaurants that my mom can eat at with her severely restricted diet. Plenty of options for diabetics, ulcer sufferers, vegans, Paleo and more. It's great entertainment being able to cook your own meal to your taste. There's a convenient conveyor belt that dances around the restaurant bringing veggies and noodles to your table. There's a great variety of meats at the buffet with options from healthy to decadent. The sauce bar allows you to mix your own custom blends. Their kimchi is outstanding. I definitely recommend this place for people with picky dieters as your entire meal is fully customizable. It's on the list of one of our favorite places.

So are regular hot pot spot close down for a little bit and we went to the boil spot and it was okay a little confusing although it was a barbecue as well got minimal information didn't really that they cared if you were there or not the person at the podium at the front door seem to be on some kind of power trip as far as the food goes it was all right nothing too terrible or awful

My mother and sister were in town and they love hot pot so we decided to take them here and there were definitely no regrets! They have tables with 6 settings for hot pot and 2 KBBQ grills and there was 5 of us so I really liked that we did not have to sit at separate tables. The conveyor belt wasn't working on our side so we had to order through the waiter but that wasn't really an issue because the service was really good. We opted for the full experience of hot pot and KBBQ which was $28.99. Their meat selection was open so we were able to grab as we pleased and that was nice because the other places we went to did not have it open and they took a long time getting our food to us to cook. Their hot pot burners were deep into the table and I really liked that feature so you're not constantly reaching over into your pot since it's lower. That was a great feature. Overall, this place was very good and I would definitely say that it's a great hot pot alternative to our place that recently closed down. For 5 people, our bill with 20% came to $191 which was a little bit on the more expensive side but we will be opting out of the KBBQ next time and hope that'll help shave down the bill.

Food was good. The soup was absolutely amazing and its an experience thats hard to come by in America. With that being said it is a very unique experience and the severs kinda just watch you mess up or they'll randomly do things for you which isn't a bad thing but it's totally different from what you're probably used to. I loved it but im not a very good cook so cooking your own meat is a bit awkward. Was a bit pricey but it was all you can eat so it was worth it. I plan on going back again soon because it was good... just very awkward

I love the boil spot. They are clean and have a great selection of authentic items and are authentic. This concept of hotpot and grilling and cooking your own meats and vegetables is unique to the culture, so if you come to dine please be open minded. This dining experience is not the typical American style of dining. The servers are attentive each time I have been there and they are good at reminding patrons to keep their masks on while walking around the store.

I've been here a lot and the thing I like about this place compared to other places is that it has an area that goes down for the soup. It's not just a table with a stove to heat the soup. It's a lot more child-friendly. Also, the tomato soup is delicious! the spicy and original soup is tasteless.. and the pork bone and herbal soup is just a little bit better than the 2. Happy eating!

Hot pot and ayce korean bbq Hotpot was delicious, every soup broth was flavorful, dumplings made them so good! Bulgogi was ok, spicy pork wasn't very good. Pork belly lettuce wrap was decent, they didn't have ssamjjang but had a Chinese sauce, I didn't really enjoy it. No sliced garlic, only minced that was sitting there with old flavors. Galbi, beef short ribs, were seasoned with Chinese sauce, not really authentic Korean sauce. It was better than izziban in orlando though. I would go back but bring your own ssamjjang if you want authentic lettuce wraps. Ask for sliced raw garlic maybe.

It was my first time there tonight. I am so happy I decided to come here for my birthday. It is all you can eat for only $30 per person. Our waitress was so patient and helpful. I went with five other people and we were totally clueless. I loved the conveyor belt with different items to add to the grill or soup pot. We didn't have to bother our waitress with getting us some more of certain items. You just wait until it comes around and pick it up. The conveyor belt is situated near all the tables for easy access as far as I can tell. There are areas where you can have just the soup and not the grill. It was also nice to be able to go to the food bar to get all your meat. There was a variety and you could get as much or as little as you wanted to eat. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. It is definitely a great place for a group of friends or family to have fun and eat delicious food. I will definitely come again in the future and tell everyone I know to come try this place out.

Food was ok. It was my 1st time at a Korean BBQ place. Staff was friendly and attentive. My biggest complaint is that there was a fly constantly flying around my table... I HATE bugs/insects of any kind around me.... Especially when I eat. There were also 2 little "crawling bugs" on one of my plates that was set to the side. I showed the waitress and she gave me a free drink... which I honestly did not want.... I was fine with my water. I think there should have been a better compensation considering the situation. For the record.... My friend who took me there said she's never seen bugs there before.

This place is a treasure! Everything is so fresh and the selections are almost overwhelming, but in a good way. From seafood to meats and veggies, noodles and even dumplings, different kinds of tofu, they have everything! The sauce bar has everything you need to make your perfect dipping sauce, don't forget to try the house special sauce, it's sweet and vinegary with a sesame undertone, perfect for meats and udon. GET THE BBQ ADD ON! It's so much worth the $3 extra dollars, and is really a cool experience to grill your meat slowly while you enjoy hot pot. The staff is so friendly and helpful, attentive and refilling your hotpot. My recommendation is the classic pork bone broth, after you add your veggies and meat the broth is a perfect base for cooking ramen as your final dish.

Vegies and dessert cakes were on a conveyor belt that passed the tables which was kind of neat but I couldn't see into dishes and it looked like others couldn't either since I witnessed patrons taking food off the belt and then putting it back on...do I'm not certain how germ free the veggie were. The meats were under sneeze guards at the back serving area. Potatoes for the hot pot weren't available since they ran out but the dumplings were to die for. The traditional bone both was very good, I will most likely return to try another broth flavor even though it was $27 for Hot Pot and there are other cheaper Hot Pot options out there.

I've had hot pot before but not like this. There is a conveyor belt that runs by all the tables and has the veggies, mushrooms, potatoes and such. The meats are plentiful and fresh. I had frog legs, shrimp, octopus, mussels, clams, 3 kinds of mushrooms and veggies galore. The house sauce is delicious with a little heat. If that isnt enough they have cake and ice cream for desert. Our server was amazing. She was knowledgeable and funny. They seemed to be following all the guidelines for covid as well. This is my new favorite place and I'm sure I will be back many times.

Boil spot is a great introduction into what Korean BBQ And Hot pot is. The quality is decent (No A5 wagyu or usda prime). The concept is whats really cool. There's a conveyor belt that wraps around the whole restaurant that brings you several different hot pot items and you just pick and choose which items you like. I also enjoy the extensive sauce counter.

As a hotpot and BBQ buffet, foods there are pretty fresh and some of the foods they provided are excellent. Price is fine consider all these fresh meat and sea foods you can eat. The only thing I worried is the design of tables, a little bit messy at both top and bottom. Please be careful when you. try to stand up if you choos hotpot, because the electric core are in the pipe underneath the table and your knees may knock on it and cause splash.

For the price the quality was ok. The kbbq tasted worse than I thought it would, especially the stuff you cook yourself that you grab from the raw bar. I recommend going with the beef ribs that they grab for you if you're going with the bbq. For the hotpot there was a surprising amount of variety in both the proteins and vegies and the sauce bar is loaded with what you would expect them to have. Would recommend to those that are new to hotpot but for veterans of the cuisine I recommend you keep looking.

Great selection of hotpot options on the conveyor belt with add-ins such as multiple varieties of mushrooms, lotus root, cabbage, dumplings, udon and dried ramen noodles, and so much more in addition to the variety on the meat bar with multiple varieties of fish balls, shrimp, muscles, crab, frog legs, tripe, octopus, quail and chicken eggs, and multiple other options. The barbeque meat options were sparing considering the wide variety of hotpot options, but we were overall extremely satisfied. The pork bone broth was a bit bland when served, but there is also a bar with a wide variety (25+) sauces and garnishes like garlic, scallions, hot oil, sesame oil to name a few, that will personalize your broth to your liking. We had an awesome time and will most likely return. The hefty $30 per person fee is absolutely understandable and very much worth it, but makes this a novelty trip for special occasions. Also, you're going there for the hotpot and bbq, so the dessert isn't key focus. There are about 6 varieties of ice cream, and on the conveyor belt, there are fruits like oranges, honeydew, and cantelope as well as orange cake and tiramisu. Worth every penny.

Hands down the best hot pot restaurant I've been to in Tampa! The broths are amazing and the meats and veggies are actually fresh! Other hot pot restaurants that I've been to here just don't have the quality that Boil Spot does! Definitely will be back!

This was a very pleasant surprise of a restaurant! Slightly pricey and absolutely worth it. For first timers, like us, some instructions on how to work the buffet will be necessary. But, you will enjoy and you will return.

Excellent HotPot restaurant! Good service! The soup bases are comparable to similar establishments from the Sichuan province of China (which is where HoptPot originates from). The selection and quality of meats, seafood,veg, sauces are topnotch. They also provide a chart of cook times so you don't over OR under cook your food. The restaurant also offers decent Korean BBQ. Overall, I would return for the HotPot.
