What a classic All American Diner. This Classic has been here for 50 years. The food is made fresh, as well as, service with a smile. There are so many chain diners out there the lack the feeling and smell when you walk in this place, you know what I mean. I will post a couple of photos, and one will include the menu. I wanted to get a burger but settled for the Texas French toast instead of catching the good old itis. Definitely recommend this spot 🖐5️⃣

THIS restaurant is a hidden gem! If you are hungry for fresh food, friendly and family atmosphere, and cups always filled to the brim with good hot coffee, then this is for you. I always make it a plan to come here every so often for breakfast. I can see why this family restaurant has so many 5-star reviews, they honestly deserve it!

Another choice we made based on Google reviews and 301 did not disappoint! Our server was very nice and kept my husband’s coffee cup full! Food was hot and delicious. Definitely a locals hangout and glad we stopped in as future Tampa transplants.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! Classic American diner! Outstanding breakfast. Especially the rye toast and coffee. Everything was hot and delicious. Super friendly service too. All around great choice for breakfast.

Skillet bowl and Vegetable omelet were incredible. White gravy and biscuits recommended 100%. Great service and prices are cheaper than the breakfast chains. Don’t think about it this should be your first choice.

I was visiting the Tampa area. I found the Restaurant on Google. I read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. I'm glad I did. The food was amazing. It was hot and fresh. Plus they make homemade buscuit. The waitress was very friendly and had great customer service. Next time I'm in the Tampa area again. I will definitely go to this restaurant again. Thank you for the great food.

Our first time here. The blonde waitress today needs a raise!!! She wasn't even our waitress but did everything for us. Our waitress stood behind the counter feeding her face. Even when we stood at the cash register she didn't even do anything. Had to wait for the other lady to pay our bill. That girl was clearly there to do nothing today. And again thanks to the blonde lady we will come back again. The coleslaw was excellent!

If you looking for that mom and pop shop with the love and taste to a real country breakfast, don’t hesitate 301 Family Restaurant is the place to go to! Never been to this side of town and I was happy to find this place. The food is freshly made with great ingredients and very delicious. The customer service was great too and the setting is nice and cozy.

Me and hubby went for breakfast. We tried a couple of items to get a taste of their breakfast. Food came out fast and it was good. We order the steak and eggs with cheese grits, Texas French toast with bacon and a side of Texas toast and corn beef hash.

Great Local favorite. Friendly people, clean restaurant and reasonably priced food. I got the 301 skillet, eggs, ham, home fries, cheese, onions and some perfectly cooked bacon. The Rye toast was nice too. I might have ordered too soon, because I found out they have A Monty Cristo sandwich.... maybe next time. If you are around and want a good breakfast, stop on in.

I just have to say that this place restored my faith in humanity and all that is right in the world. I tend to get judged everywhere I go and I don’t know why even where I live, but when I walked in they were beyond (not fake) friendly and the food was really good. We now live in a world where you are judged on your skin color, tattoos, demeanor, attitude etc… but not here, all of the staff was professional, kind, funny and welcoming (which is hard to find). I’m from Michigan and I wish we had 10% of the hospitality this company has. I hope you excel and prosper, I truly believe there are still good people in this world. One person ( my waitress)Does make a difference (tattoo lady July 30th)! Thank you staff!

Good food. Got the chicken sandwich which was big and yummy. We came in a little before closing and we were unaware of that. The waitresses were very nice and accommodating in spite of trying to close down the restaurant. The reason I give a 3 star is because the sides were extra, I find it annoying that restaurants feel the need to charge for every little thing. It would be less irritating if it would all be included in the price.

I always love getting breafast or lunch here. Food is VERY GOOD and the servers are SAWEEEET! I would give them 6 stars if they put a tiki bar on that patio with Touch Tunes. Open until 2am... LOL I'm a dreamer I guess. Ha

1 and only family breakfast while on Florida vacation. Our son accidentally "stole" the cup he was drinking water in. Food is typical comfort food. Fresh and yummy. Our server was tipped 50 percent.

This place was excellent but it's only open till 2:00 p.m. 7 days a week so you got like less than an hour to get there but I think it opens at 7:00 a.m. 7 days a week too I'm not 100% sure of that but I think that's what they said I would just Google if you're interested in but definitely closes at 2:00 everyday

I had chicken fried steak for the 1st time and it was fantastic. The wait staff is super friendly and always helpful. In appearance the restaurant seems to have been there since the beginning of time which adds to its appeal. In all this restaurant had a good Hometown home cook meal feel, highly recommended

I've lived in Tampa my entire life and have never been here. I love to try small business mom and pop style restaurants. The price wasn't terrible so the value alone earns it more stars in my opinion. The food was typical cafe style breakfast and not bad. This will most likely be a one and done visit though.

We Googled restaurants while staying nearby. This quaint, clean accessible place came up. We got great service from Ashley. The prices were good. The home fried potatoes were the best I've had anywhere. Golden brown, seasoned well. The western omelet was perfect. Good flavored coffee. Family atmosphere. My husband liked his steak and eggs.

Was in town to visit family. We found this ace by accident. The food was good and so was the service. The only down side was another customer was not happy and was talking really loud and using fowl language. Had nothing g to do with the restaurant itself. I felt bad for the girl who had to take care of him but she handled things way better than I would have.

Very good.They know how to fry an egg over easy there.You may think that's funny but you'd be surprised @ how many restaurants can't fry an egg.They use nice size eggs too with huge yolks not those little pigeon eggs like most restaurants serve.Their home fries are the best. Cooked to perfection. Most restaurants can't get that right either. Most serve them undercooked and hard.Their link sausage is excellent too.All at a fair price ! Get u some !

The place is not great with social distancing, not horrible, but maybe cause it's more of a local spot. The breakfast here was delicious, everything you'd expect from a good ol American breakfast, a lot better than a place I went to the day before who had better ratings. The grits were 10 times better, the pancakes didn't taste like they were sweetened, the corned beef was delicious. Basically according to my two brothers, my girlfriend, and I, this place serves delicious breakfast. I'll definitely go by again if I'm in the area.

Like..do you want business or not? Always call ahead to make sure they're open, as it's obvious they don't update google with their ACTUAL hours...

Was looking for a place to have breakfast and saw that the review was decent. When we walked in the lady behind the serving area said we could sit down anywhere. We'll the tables were in need of a wipe down so I asked if I could get a napkin to wipe down. She responded to me in frustration and said I can't help you we are swamped right now. (I'm not sitting at a dirty table) at this point I was going to walk out and give 1 star review, Gratefully our waitress came apologized and wiped the table off for us. If it wasn't for her kindness and hospitality we would have went to another place. I hope this is not how servers (lady with thick blond hair) responds to new customers when things get hectic. Sorry I don't know her name. To our waitress thank you!!

Great food, Great price, Great portions They are open now 6:00 am to 6:00pm for dine in. I had the special Western country fried steak instead of white gravy it was brown gravy and It was delicious. My husband had the 8oz chopped steak dinner with Both you get Choice of 2 sides and bread. Go check them out.

This place is much better than I thought it would be. Since I tried this restaurant, I've been meeting friends there for lunch almost every Wednesday. The food is always good and the servers are very friendly and efficient. Usually we either have Dawn or Fawn serve us and they have never let us down. They have daily lunch specials on a whiteboard that I usually order from and they have a good selection of items on their menu. I've never had the breakfast here but I've been told by others that it is very good also. I highly recommend trying them out if you're in the area.

If you have read my other reviews you will pick up on the fact that I have a love for places that remind me of an earlier simpler time. This is another good one. The food is cooked with what tastes like farm sourced ingredients, not the usual factory preprogrameg garbage loaded into the kitchen from a semi-truck. Give it a try.

My family and I enjoy going to the 301 family restaurant very much! It's very family oriented, and the customers are as friendly as the staff, it's like going home to eat there!! We know the waitresses by name and are treated just like the name of the restaurant.....like Family!!! My only complaint is the grilled tuna sandwich has been removed from the menu.

Dennis, Bob and Fawn are definitely worth stopping and seeing. From the awesome waitress and customer service to the amazing cooks who go above and beyond to make your meal perfect and exactly as you ask no matter how much of a pain in arse it is. Good family setting where I can bring my little ones and be relaxed and comfortable. They have a patio where you can get some air and eat. Even buy a beer in the evening after a long day. Totally worth checking out.

It was very simple and old school feeling. 301 Family restaurant offers southern country comfort food, all of which tasted fresh. The prices were fair in some areas and a tad bit higher in other places. I felt like for a 3.50$ side I would've gotten more quantity, but what suffers from quantity makes up in quality. It's a great place to fill up on any free time! No doubt coming back for more.

I don't go to this restaurant often but have done so every once in a while for a few years and I have never had anything bad. Today the food was no different, food was nice and hot, good sized and good priced. The coffee on the other hand could have been a little hotter but I am very picky when it comes to my coffee. If you want good food, mom and pop atmosphere, country music low in the background, reasonably priced, check this place out.

The waitress was super efficient and delightful. There was 15 of us. Prices great, food was very good except our pancakes were ice cold. Butter just sat on the cakes. We NEVER send food back, no matter where we are, because of what we have seen on tv. Would recommend to everyone and we will come back. This was my husband and my first time at the 301. Great breakfast spot. This is what breakfast should be; great waitresses, good food and great price. I always feel at home. If you want potatoes, order the hash browns crispy; otherwise you’ll get a semi cooked patty of shredded potatoes. Also, I’d also like larger coffee cups, the current ones are way too small.

I've been coming here for years. I just had the best fish and chips I've ever had in Florida period being from Seattle I know my fish. The food is always piping-hot and tons of it! The service is fasting friendly can get in and out in 20 minutes perfect for lunch. Very inexpensive compared to most restaurants the breakfast is the bomb! What a great country diner! The decor is southern country with barn-red walls & lots of homey accents. Howard B has been coming here for years, so when we took Madeline to her graduation rehearsal on an early Sunday morning at the fairgrounds, he knew just the place for breakfast. Service was excellent, and the food was even better. And their coffee was outstanding! I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here, and hope I'm in the area again soon for another meal.

I love this restaurant and all the servers here with smiling faces. They take their time to become like part of your family, yet still serve in a very fast time. My son loves ordering a Mickey Mouse pancake, and they always manage to take the time out to make it extra special for him. Come here aLL the time seeing we live on the same street. Been ordering take out throughout COVID. Only disappointment I have.. I was told this week that the tuna sandwich was taken off the menu :( that was my favorite. Please bring it back!

Exactly what you'd expect for a family diner. Service was fast and friendly. Specials were offered and at a good price. I ordered the grilled ham and cheese and soup special for $5.95. The sandwich was extra buttery (which I love) and served piping hot, along with my beef veggie soup. Overall menu pricing is great and good selection too. The building is older and the bathroom was a bit dark, but clean. I'll be back for sure!

Good ole country cooking that I'm use too. Hard to find places like this in a big city. All the food that I had was great and prices wasn't that bad. Staff is friendly. Reccomend and definitely will eat here again.

While in town, instead of stopping at Denny's, Waffle House, or even McDonald's, I decided to give this nice family restaurant a try. Upon entering in, I was immediately acknowledged by all staff member which you will rarely find in a chain like IHOP, etc. Even the cooks made eye contact with me! I asked for a menu and was also shown the specials of the day. I like to observe the foods that are coming out of the kitchen and they looked rather tasty. Though I was only coming for breakfast at 11:30 a.m., I originally had an order of 3 eggs, hashbrown, wheat toast and sausage. I browsed the menu thereafter and then noticed a combo deluxe where I can add pancakes. I asked the Ashley, my waitress if I can upgrade my meal and normally they would not do this because of the timeframe, she kindly asked and the cooks looked at me again and allowed me to have pancakes! That was AWESOME! Breakfast truly can only be judged by if the eggs were correct and if everything was cooked to perfection. IT WAS! Checking out, a gentleman took my payment and kindly had a nice conversation and gave me a brief history of the establishment. In this day, private small owners struggle due to the economic boom of fast food and chain restaurants, but 301 Family Restaurant perserve! I can see why. The SERVICE was the best and that's all that matters these days! I will definitely come back anytime while in this area! Highly recommended!

Weekday staff Doreen and Kathy are absolutely amazing and go out of their way to make you feel like family. The food feels like home, and the service was quick and fast for my stop and go on the way to work.However the weekend staff left me turned off, and as much as I love the fact it was on my way to work, and gave me and my sisters that quick meeting spot to catch up before we started our workday, I wont be coming back. Loraine and Lackey are the worst waitresses and they completly ignore you if you and walk past you and for that I can take my money elsewhere. Alright so if you are looking for somewhere affordable but still taste like you're not completely poor this is your place. The most expensive thing on the menu is still affordable and the portions are very generous. Service is great and for going at 10 am on Wednesday we didn't have to wait for more than a few minutes on our food. 10/10 would eat here again.
