Reviews of Windy City Pie
Stanley Wongus
Very very solid deep dish pizza! Great vibes in here. Good selection of pies and there’s a build your own option! Very filling as well so the price is pretty good too. The pies were very nice, and the flavors and taste felt great!
XX Sun
Very nice pizza!!! (Except my dummy friend ordered two pies with same flavor…)
Zach van Schouwen
Good place. As an ex-Chicagoan I would say this passes the authenticity test. Not as good as Pequod's or anything, but as least as good as Delfino's (which isn't bad either).
Prices were good. Our salad was very good. The atmosphere even kinda feels like Chicago.
Order ahead for pizza.
Alex Gromacki
Loved it! Moved here from Chicago 1.5yr ago and haven't been brave enough to go for the deep dish, but my oh my so yummy, yummy sauce, yummy crust, yummy house sausage, wee bit of burnt cheese on the outside a la Pequod's, and such great hospitality while I waited to pick up. Thanks y'all!

Wasn’t really sure what to expect since I haven’t had a Chi style pizza since I was a kid. This was a delicious, dense pie. The crusty edge was awesome and the spicy peppers inside really kicked off the flavor. One pie was enough for 4 adults, just as the website says!

I think this place has concluded my search for quality thick crusted pizza. I had read reviews on another Chicago-style place, which seemed to have a lot of undercooked Pizza occurrences, so that was my main concern.
I loved the sense of humor on their online menu, and I ended up getting my regular favorite which is pepperoni-pineapple-jalapeno. I paired this with the Pink Mathilde wine, and it is right between sweet and dry 👌 (pairs well with the pizza!). Next time I'd like to try the Hot Island which is very similar to my regular choice. The crust has a spongy texture, and the toppings are everything I dreamed of. I haven't had Chicago style pizza in years, and I feel that I definitely got my money's worth. I also thought it was really rad that they sell bottles of liquor!
Thank you guys, I'll see ya again soon.
Emily
Good Chicago deep dish pizza. The crust has good slightly burnt caramelized taste. I like extra sauce.

best Kale Caesar salad I've ever had!! hands down. You have to try it or else you are missing out good. Or fyi- for take outs, they don't provide any bags.

Windy City makes the best Chicago pizza I’ve ever had, including in Chicago. I’m a New Yorker and love my thin crust, but if you’ve always been skeptical of Chicago pizza or just don’t “get” it, this is the place to come.

Ordered pick up - Meatza, Mamma Mia, and kale Caesar salad. Pick up time was meant to be 4.45pm but kitchen forgot to put it in one of the pizzas so ended up waiting another 30 minutes. Wouldn’t mind normally but we had friends waiting, so that was a bit disappointing. I’ve had pizza in Chicago, and I wouldn’t say this is exactly the same but nevertheless it was good. Our friends from Chicago agreed and said it’s the closest thing they’ve found in Seattle. The red sauce is really rich and flavorful. A little more topping would have been great. We liked Meatza more than the Mamma Mia - I think it’s the candied bacon because, you know, bacon. Overall, would recommend, but I think this is one of those foods that you need to eat at the restaurant to get the full experience.

We had heard that they had amazing pies, and were looking forward to stopping in for one. On the day we had planned to go, and showed up they were closed. OUR FAULT! They are not open 7 days a week. At a later date we did a last minute decision on eats and drove over, hungry and tiered.
The restaurant was freezing inside, and I had to wear my jacket the whole time we were there. They had all of their booths open, yet their server seated the 3 of us at one of their tiny tables with their metal chairs that have NO padding! I would have used my down jacket to sit on had it not been so cold inside their restaurant.
The pie took a ridiculous amount of time to come out, and by that time my rear end had had enough of the uber uncomfortable chair, and I was just too tiered to really eat but a few bites of a slice, and just wanted to go home.
It's really too bad so sad, their pie's crust is very good, but I recommend that pies get ordered to go.

I've wanted to come to windy city pie for months and I finally had the chance to today to finish my experience. First time I came it was 30 minutes before they closed and I wasn't able to get a full pie, but what I did get I enjoyed (kale caesar and sourdough plate).
Today I came right as they opened and split the sweet Pete, and let me tell you the wait was more than worth it. First pizza I've had in Seattle that I actually thought could be considered a great pizza. Really well baked, great toppings, and the caramelized crust was incredible. This is what I've been waiting for, and I'm so happy that Seattle has a pizza shop that I can recommend whole heartedly. Must go!!
John M
This pizza place is legit, as a Chicago native, it's better than just about any other spot you can find in Seattle or the west coast for Chicago style pizza.
Larry Hauser
Great pizza, which reminds me of my hometown of Chicago
Ben Jahn
Went to the soft opening tonight. These guys have the best pizza! And for anybody who is leery of the sauce on top approach, you just have to realize their “pizza" is a different thing entirely!
The gooey crust with the crispy outside, the crispy Parmesan laced outer crust layer, the incredibly flavorful sauce and the thoughtfully composed toppings make this pizza an out of world experience!
The place is casual yet thoughtfully decorated. A comfortable family establishment. Can't wait to return.
Sarah
The owner is clearly engaged and working hard for his restaurant. Amazing cheesy crust, very delicious sauce on top style pizza.
We got the Meatza.
Expect a 40 minute wait after ordering for pizza to cook.
Expect to pay between $25-$30 for 1 pizza (tho it’s thick enough to easily feed 3 people).
Create your own is highly discouraged, aka trust the pros ;)
Brian Szuter
Really great, authentic Chicago style pizza. Their order ahead system is great - use it if you can. If you use it, you sit down and your pizza is just there, waiting for you. Delicious food, and friendly staff.
Daniel Au Yeung
Be forewarned as the waitress told us that a pie takes 40 minutes to come to your table from the time you place your order. While the pizza was good, I wouldn’t call it authentic Chicago deep dish since it is more dough than filling. It reminds me more of a NYC’s Sicilian pizza pie.
Daniel Herman
Great deep dish pies, lots of choices. Nice cocktail selection from the bar. Really nice beet salad.
The decor is rustic 'friend's garage style', but at least it's warm inside. The pies take over a half hour to bake. Be prepared to wait, or phone in your order ahead of time!
Farooq Khan
This place is amazing. Pizza on point (great deep dish), and surprisingly good apps (kale Caesar and sourdough with garlic butter were killer). Also had the bar nuts just because. Come here and leave plenty of room in your stomach to enjoy.
Derek Bergey
Excellent deep dish pizza with terrific helpful staff. Cozy atmosphere with access to Batch 206 Distillery. Nice drink menu too! Hint: pizza takes 40mins to cook so order ahead if you are in a hurry.
Terumi Pong
I haven’t been in the actual restaurant yet but I ordered delivery from Caviar and this pizza was so yummy! I love the way they packaged it to make sure it stayed hot. We also ordered a salad with beets and pistachios and it was delicious as well. Again, I liked how they packaged the salad dressing separately so the greens didn’t get soggy. We will be ordering again for sure!
Jessica Sutton
Their deep dish is delicious and the service is friendly. I'm more of a Giordano's person and my husband loves Gino's East so this pan pizza was pretty good but didn't taste as much like home as we'd like. Keep up the great food though and we'll be back for more!
Wellness Lady
Amazing!!! Hard to beat.. very fresh, aromatic, The crust is fluffy ..the care they take in preparing salads and deep dish is so worth the drive..Call ahead to order if take out.
You can dine in too.
5* for Pizza
Michael Natkin
Oh my god. That is the most delicious deep dish pizza I’ve ever had. Actually the only delicious deep dish pizza I’ve ever had. Totally changed my mind about that style. If you like spicy stuff get the four pepper. And pay attention to the slicing demonstration, it matters! This place is great.
Peter Babler
Sets the bar for Chicago-style pizza in Seattle. They got it right. The dine-in location looks just great. Nice atmosphere, albeit noisy. Service is a bit lacking, but I am guessing it is mostly due to the high volume of customers.
Amy A
The pizza was delicious. We got the Brussel Snout pizza which fed four adults perfectly. It takes a while to cook but is so worth it and the service was phenomenal. You could tell the staff was well trained and enthusiastic about both the food and drinks.
Justin Anderson
Have heard many great things about the Chicago pizza served in an industrial nook of Seattle. I write this review attempting to not be a biased NY pizza lover. The Chicago deep dish is here is everything you want from CHICAGO pizza. Mounds of wonderfully sweet and complex red sauce mixed with gooey mozzarella cheese all baked into a crust that is caramelized by the surrounding pan. Can’t say you can find anything close to it on the west coast. Great job. Must visit for all deep dish lovers. Must try for those who have not.
Sajia
Was looking for different pizza for long time and finally got this. It’s almost similar taste like Chicago style pizza. Price is little high but worth it. Too big to eat!
Jon Ross
Came here several weeks ago and had some amazing a-pizza pie (and like 3 too many negronis). Really was surprised by a. how great the pizza was (such a bad rap for the deep dish) and also how much food was in front of me. I had leftovers for several days and was not mad about it. The staff was super friendly and also very helpful in guiding us in how to handle these monsters.
Seriously, there are so many pizza places in Seattle and all of them sort of meld into each other in their product minus a few stand outs. This place is among the stand outs and really is one of a kind in this city.
Also, the smell of the place is amazing.
Richard Davalos
The pizza was phenomenal. I ordered online and set a time for dining in and the pizza was ready when we got there. The restaurant itself was clean and very bright with lots of natural light with a small outdoor patio for eating outside when the weather gets warmer. I will be back to take advantage of that.
Jesse Lieberman
Very good deep dish. Baked fresh on demand so leave a little time for it to be baked, don't complain to the staff. It's not totally traditional deep dish the crust is a little thicker than you'll get in Chicago but the toppings are delish and fresh.
Ryan Curtis
Pics don't do justice to the slice of heaven on that platter. That Meatza pie was better than anything I ate in Chicago. The caramelized cheese crust was absolutely unreal, and no, it's not burnt. Thanks for a great meal!
Gillian Kim
Don't usually like deep dish but really enjoyed this. Sweet Pete was spicy with a slow burn. Great service, great atmosphere.
Adam Das
Firstly, I haven't been to Chicago yet so I can't compare this with the Chicago based deep dish pizza. That being said, as a pizza lover I really like the pizza I had at Windy City pie. Loaded with cheese, meat and toppings, it's really tasty. The burnt cheese crust and the caramelized onions are delish! We had the classic which comes with mushrooms, house sausage and other standard toppings. It was really tasty!
Tegan Tigani
Fun vibe! We were glad we'd ordered ahead online because it was busy-- and these quality pies take time. The Four peppers pizza was spicy but not so spicy that I couldn't enjoy it. (My husband is a 5 heat star fan; I like around 2 stars.) The carmelized cheese held in the saucy cheesy goodness. A pie would feed 4 well. The spinach salad was fresh and well-balanced. We both enjoyed our aromatic old fashioneds from the bar.
Bussing our table was the only part of the experience that wasn't stellar; sometimes I just don't like having to scrape my plate and be around other people's dishes at the end of the night out. But that's probably me just being spoiled.
Heidi Beckett
From out of town and wanted some good pizza. We'll we found it. Incredible atmosphere and friendly staff. Thanks for thengreat 🍕
Jo Pa
Fantastic almost-Chicago style pizza. As a fellow Illinoisan, this is a high bar to meet as I have tried many attempts at deep dish from pizza places, and only one other place in Nashville has come close.
Pizza by the slice is a fantastic option if you dont have at least 4 people to eat a pie. Let me reiterate, you will need a solid 3-4 people! Otherwise, the pie is just too expensive, and way too much food for two.
DISCLAIMER: Wait is long for a pizza BUT, this should be expected when cooking a true Chicago deep dish. It is called a pizza PIE for a reason. 👍
Lucas Duffey
Pretty good deep dish pizza. The dough is extremely thick which I'm not the biggest fan of, but the topping combinations are usually pretty good. The white Hawaiian was probably my favorite so far.
Picking up lunch orders is a little ghetto, since you have to contact them to unlock the door.
Tony Karais
Freaking amazing is how it was/is! First time there. Was in the mood for deep dish style pizza and the menu and reviews looked very good. Didn't disappoint! And it was even better the next day. Service was outstanding as well. Forget the servers name but dude, make that move to NYC while you can! :D
Max Nachlinger
Legit and lovely deep dish Chicago style pizza. I also appreciated that the wine list prices weren't dramatically marked-up. One pizza fed my wife and daughter and we had loads of leftovers. Had a salad as well which was great.
Andrew Revis
Amazing. They were very upfront about the pizza not being traditional deep dish (like Lou Malnatis or Giordano's), I think they get a lot of Chicagoans expecting that. It is more of a pan style deep dish. If you have ever been to Papa Del's in Champaign/Urbana it is almost exactly like that. Regardless, the pizza was outstanding and very reasonably priced. You can get a couple meals out of this thing. We had the Popeye and highly recommend it. Another FYI is these types of pizza take a while to cook (35+min), but the restaurant is very casual and connected to a really cool distillery. Grab a cocktail while you wait for your pizza!
Jennifer Powell
Great pizza! Great booze! What else is there??? Love this place. Chicago-style deep dish pizza, good beer selection and fun innovative cocktails. Great place for larger gatherings or sit at the bar with a friend and check out the distillery...a uniquely fun and delicious experience.
Ken Paterson
Great deep dish pizza. Purely Chicago style. Good staff.
P W
Great deep dish. The caramelized texture of the outer crust is perfect! 4 stars because the pizza was lacking in cheese, and the sauce tasted a little too organic(good, just off from your typical tomato sauce). I will classify this pizza as gourmet food. Not pizza. It's good, but not exactly what I look for in a deep dish.
Nancy Johnson
Haven't had pizza like this since I visited the Chicago area. Highly recommend.
Joshua “Josh” Hagen
The food and drinks were amazing here, we had the seasonal cuban pizza and absolutely loved it. This place was delicious but the pizza is more accurately Detroit style meets Chicago deep dish style.
Sean Gordon
Wow. This spot is DANK! The deep dish is legit!!! Chicago deep dish has more cheese but the Windy City Pie has amazing flavors and is next level!!! A must try again ... again ... and AGAIN! Not the best parking situation, but that is irrelevant once you take your first bite of this delicious treat!
Morgan Welsh
Excellent pizza and super nice employees. My family is visiting from out of town and we happen to be big pizza and beer folks. Conveniently Windy City is located next to a brewery so we were able to satisfy both our local beer craving as well as try some awesome pizza. Would definitely recommend and will come back whenever we visit again!
Will Dabney
They make some seriously good pizza! Chicago style, so go in expecting something different from the pizza at most places. But if you are open to a thicker, heartier and extremely delicious pie you have to try this place out.
Service was really great, very friendly, and the outdoor seating on the side street was a good place to chill and eat. Parking wise, you have to find something on the street, which depending on the time of day can be tricky.
Brianne Burnett
Free delivery in my area which sealed the deal in ordering on a Sunday night. Delivery was ordered a few hours in advance and came exactly in the middle of the thirty minute window. Came warm and well packaged. Enjoyed thoroughly!!
Justin Gallion
I feel like I was lied to as a child. Deep dish pizza that looks too dark isn't, it's pure delicious carmelization of flavors. I was sad that there weren't really options for an appetizer during the long wait for the perfect pie, but the wait was worth.
Iridius Izzarne
Great atmosphere. The pie was amazing, a complex set of flavors with excellent depth. Staff was friendly and down to earth.
Sam Foo
Pretty cool spot where pizza has to be ordered ahead of time. I love the large tables and being able to share with friends.
Elliott Ball (Foxstronaut)
Delicious deep dish pizza in a funky cool Fremont atmosphere!🍕😋 🤤
Kerrin Kua
Friendly staff with cheery attitude that makes ordering and collection of pizza during this strange pandemic times more bearable.
Pizza was ready at the exact time arranged and was plenty yummy!
We got the Sweet Pete which is one of the recommendations for first time patrons and it was amazing! Great balance of ingredients set on a deep crust that was crispy and fluffy, making for a great deep dish pizza (also my first time having deep dish so I might not have the right experiences for comparison just as yet).
Servings were super generous! Great food, great experience!
JP Dodel
Great pizzas, great service, and we’re super vigilant about enforcing proof of vaccination all along in spite of some rogue antivax dimwits lashing out about it. 👍👍 …
Emily Mayor
Best pizza since my visit Chicago! (Sour Dough crust). Nice drinks cozy environment.
Gregory Schilsson
When I come to Seattle, I always make time to visit Windy City Pie. The pizza pies are their best thing about then but all tired for second is the environment, the service, and the drink selection.
Nadia Parker
I have never been to the area, so this place popped up on local recommendations. Stepping inside you have a very kitsch vibe with old school pacific northwest bar/restaurant. Packed on a Saturday, bar sitting was available (Btw Jon you our thee person!!!) The pizza was absolutely worth everything, deep dish crunch, ooey gooey cheese upon cheese, and in house made sausage and candied bacon??? I live near Tacoma and I will most definitely make the drive to Windy City Pie.. Thank you for a memorable end to the night!
Jonah Spool
Picked up a pie from these guys for the first time this week, and was blown away. The Chicago style pie was delicious, and twice the amount of food as most of the other pies in the area (at about $10 less). I think the one we ordered was called the Sweet Pete? Had candied bacon, sausage and spicy vegetables, which my wife and I raved about the whole time. I highly recommend trying this place! It might be our new go-to for pizza in the area!
Tristan Amer
The best Chicago style deep dish pizza in the U.S.! Superb service as well 👏
Saoud
Amazing pizza. Amazing staff. Make sure to preorder pizza, it speeds things up although it may very well still take a while. Well worth it even to go.
Melissa Bird
Very good chicago style pizza. Good price point. We will definitely go back, and hopefully they will have popcorn when we do!
Trina
I have not had a real deep dish pizza since I was visiting Chicago when I was 7 years old. Windy City Pie hands down is the best deep dish pizza available in WA. Absolutely delicious!!! I cannot wait to be able to dine in for the whole experience! Also, love they have in house delivery most 3rd party companies do not care about the restaurants they deliver for. It was refreshing to have the option of in house delivery service
Diego Ramirez
Pickup was really fast and easy, and even though I drove for about 40 minutes before eating the pizza it was still warm and yummy, it's a great pizza for sure just a lot of bread for me (I know that's how deep dish is supposed to be) and I have never eaten pizza in Detroit or Chicago, but if you love pizza in general you will love this. I also tried the kale Cesar salad, that one was more on the meh side of things so I would probably stick with pizza
todd thomas
Love this spot. Worth every penny for just one bite of that crispy cheese crust 🤤
Jeff Becker
I found their deep dish pie to be fantastic. Very authentic. I'd lived in the Midwest for 4.5 years before moving to Seattle and I'm quite familiar with the best offerings from Chicago. This pizza arrived fresh and hot. It was absolutely delicious and I had to use restraint to prevent myself from eating it all. *over the course of a few days* I will gladly order from there again. Looking forward to that cheat meal. The only complaint and a small one at that, is that the pie didn't come sliced and its my own issue but I didn't have a pizza cutter.
David Seider
Our favorite pizza in Seattle. Delicious and decadent, a Chicago-style deep dish like no other! We especially love the "Sweet Pete," with spicy tomato sauce and luscious crust and super yummy sausage and candied bacon and pineapple. Have to try it to believe how good it is!
Orlin Henderson
Prices are competitive for Chicago-style deep dish. Red sauce is heavy in the tomato and not sweet, like you’d expect. Lots of great toppings combination offerings, but watch out—there’s spicy all over the menu. Homemade meatballs are great. The crispy cheese around the outside of the pizza is wonderful. The seasonal fried Brussels sprouts are phenomenal!
But the crust is thick and doughy. Completely ruins the pie for me. If you like classic crispy, flaky crust like at Lou Malnati’s or even Giordano’s, this is not the pizza for you.
To those of you who complain about the wait or time for service, have you had deep dish?! It takes time. No one should complain about the wait—deep dish can be worth the wait. If you like thick doughy crust on your Chicago-style pizza, then this place is for you! It’s just not for me.
NP Mahen
The best Chicago style pizza in seattle area!! Period!!
Scott Gellner
Oh my the Detroit style pizza is to die for. Salads and martinis were great too. Great place to dine in, nice big booths and chill atmosphere.
Thabata Regiani
We had a great evening at Windy City. We wanted deep dish pizza and that is what we got - and we really enjoyed it. It is definitely filling and we ended up with a ton of leftovers.
I love their tables on the sidewalk where you can look at the beautiful neighborhood while you eat.
Jordyn Richey
I love this place. We went before covid, and the space is nice and cute and cozy. The food is delicious! Blows my mind every time. We ordered delivery the other day, and the pizza was just as good as when we weren't to the restaurant. Also, these pies are massive! You'll definitely have leftovers, and they reheat beautifully in the oven.
Brian Bennett
Got the brussels sprouts pizza. I think the white sauce needed more garlic. Overall, the pizza was too sweet for my taste. The crust portion with the crispy cheese was fantastic.
Jason Lam
I love this pizza but I must give it 4 stars only because I don't like the Chicago style pizza sauce, It makes it soggy. It would be great if there was an option for regular for regular pizza tomato spread.
Spencer Lail
The absolute best deep dish you'll find, literally, better than anything I had in Chicago.
Liam Robison
The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. He made great recommendations but wasn't pushy. Being from Chicago, we had high expectations but the food did not disappoint. It's most likely different from any pizza you've had before, but if you have an open mind you will be pleasantly surprised.
KillaGrom
Wow this pizza was amazing, a true Chicago deep dish with the perfect ratio of crust to toppings. AND THE CRUST... I’ve never had a pizza where the crust was my favourite part! Crispy and deliciously cheesy. Our server was awesome, the owner came out to serve the pizza, also awesome. All around a great experience.
Andra Walker
Had the Tuscany Raider (sounds like those dudes from Star Wars), it was pretty good! Also stumbled in on a comedy show! Great for dates or a night out.
Timothy Anderson
Picked up an omnivore and took it home. I had to drive a long way back home and smelled it long the way. It was hard not to eat it right there in the car! Be ready to cut it on your own when you get home if you get takeout.
Mario Cristiani 2
Absolutely amazing. I am not always a huge deep dish fan I like the roman style thin crust pizza, but this place is out of this world. I highly recommend the Meatza or if you're into Alfredo sauce the Tuscany Raider is excellent. The restaurant is inside a whiskey distillery so not a place for the whole family. However, you can take pizzas to go. They are about 30 bucks each, but they easily feed 4 people. A good price for a large pizza. They also reheat in the oven excellently so perfect for lunch the next day. I can't emphasize enough you have to try this place. You won't regret it
JOEY WILLOUGHBY
Extremely impressed. I ordered 2 hours in advance. A pizza, a starter and a bottle of wine.
I arrived and the pizza was done on time, but they were sold out of the wine I ordered. They offered me 2 choices, 1 close to it or an "upgrade". The upgrade was a fantastic Franco Serra and paired very well with our order.
We took our order to Gasworks Park, put out our blanket, and had dinner watching the sunset over downtown.
Thank you for the help making a magical night with my wife!
Jose Mendez
I don't think anything will ever reach the perfection that is deep dish outside of Chicago.
But if you want to eat pizza that gets pretty close, this place is the place. We ordered a deep dish that had pepperoni and mushroom. It was pretty good! I would definitely come back here again.
Bobby Ball
I'll start off with saying I don't even like deep dish pizza. But for some reason, this place is just great. They're always packed, and food takes forever, but that's because these things take forever to cook.
Service is always good though, and staff are friendly. Not much else to say really. Great quality deep dish with crunchy cheese around the edges of the crust. 10/10
Parker Burkett
The pizza here is absolutely amazing, drinks are always good, but I was actually a little unimpressed that I needed a booster shot to get in. I am double Vaxxed and very safe with my Covid protocols, but a booster shot requirement to dine in seems a little bit extreme. I was bringing my girlfriend there since she had never had it and I was super excited to treat her to dinner. She has her booster but I have not been able to get mine yet. Just very disappointing that I was not allowed in. So I took my business to Zeeks next-door.
Venkatesh Moorthy
For someplace so far off, they have a really good Chicago style pizza. Like seriously, we went with a bunch of native Chicagoans and they seemed to not have any complaints. It can almost become nostalgic for some and I love that they carry Chicago style beers, or rather beers famous in Chicago. This place also had a good charm to it and a nice welcoming atmosphere
Victoria Choi
We got our pizzas to go. We ordered the classic meat pizza and the omnivore pizza, I also ordered a slice of veggie. Overall, everyone liked it, I wasn't too impressed with the slice of veggie. I felt the toppings to dough/crust ratio could have been better (I prefer a thicker layer of topping rather than a thicker layer of dough). But I guess thick crust should be expected with deep dish pizza!
Nathan Shelby
Not only the best Chicago style pizza in Seattle, but one definitely the best Chicago Style Pizza places outside of Chicago! Honestly the best pizza place in Seattle for me hands down. For around the cost for a large pizza at other places, you can eat for like a whole week on this!
Jack Palevich
Ordered Sweet Pete and Brussels Snout to go. Very tasty. Nicely packed with aluminum foil to keep things hot and reduce leakage. The crust edge (with the burned / hard baked cheese) is a bit of an acquired taste.
The pizza is provided whole, you have to slice it to taste using a knife or scissors or a pizza cutter.
For what it is worth, my wife (a NYC pizza fan) was sure she would not like this style of pizza, but she says it's great. It reminds her of what she likes from Italian grinder sandwiches. She dislikes the "Pizzaria Uno" style Chicago Pizza, which has a thicker cheese sauce than Windy City Pies do.
Jen D
I would only do take out now. The dine in experience was lacking customer service from beginning to end. The pizza is good if you like Chicago style. It is worth dealing with the front of house staff to dine there but take out is probably a more enjoyable way to experience this cuisine. You'll just have to cut your own pizza or give a small fee to have a pizza cutter included.
Breanne Dawson
Absolutely loved it. I've been deeply suspicious of deep dish pizza for awhile, and this was my first time trying it. Out of this world. The crust, the sauce, the carmelized onions, the house sausage...all out of this world. We got the omnivore pizza and couldn't stop raving. Fair warning to everyone; when it's busy, you'll sit at large tables with other groups, which I'm not used to. It's a seat yourself situation. The location is also a little difficult to find. All worth it for the best pizza I've ever had. Truly, it elevates the genre.
Moo Rah
Love their pies so much!!! The flavors are amazing, the sauce and layering is done very well.
I only knock off one star due to the price but to be honest these pies are filling enough to almost warrent the price.
Customer service has been great pre- and during covid ( pickups )
They send text messages and reminders with nice human touches and their staff has been nothing but welcoming.
The pies are best eaten fresh with a fork and knife and have a very nice balance of flavors. I can't recommend the omnivore enough but I also can't say I would turn down any of their other pies that I have tried this far.
JR Pelkola
We’ve been coming since they were doing takeout only in SoDo. We’re closer to Breezy Town and go there more frequently, but still love to mix it up with Windy City once in awhile. The Omnivore is our go to pizza and never disappoints!
Shae Hurst
Great Pizza! I usually prefer thin crust, but this is a delicous albeit completely different experience. If you love cheese as much as I do I would highly recommend this pizza! You can pack a lot more cheese on this sturdy thick crust. The best part is that the crust has an awesome crispy cheese edge around the rim. Drinks are also great and reasonably priced. Note that they accept cards at both the bar and when you order pizza.

Great food, they were very thorough in explaining how to cut the chicago style pizza, we went for the Pete's and it was delicious. We would definitely come back and try it again, maybe next time with a group so we can finish the pie. Either way, it makes great leftovers, just don't expect to finish one with just 2 people.
Jeremy Young
Great pizza for sure but also surprisingly I got a salad I would actually go back for even if I didn't feel like pizza. Have I ever said that about any restaurant before? Pretty sure I haven't.

As a Seattle native, I've never liked deep dish. Windy City's deep dish pizza is quite possibly the best pizza I've ever had. I'm confused too. I would drive hours just to experience this. I'm not rounding up to 5 stars, this is really 5 stars. My pizza snob beanpole son-in-law Chicago native ate himself sick, fully aware of his fate while eating. I would bring friends here to represent the best of Seattle food. The crust is off the charts, the sauce is amazing, it just comes down to your preferences. By the slice is still excellent. I've never had to wait in line, or wait to be seated, but it'll take a bit to cook a whole deep dish. Enjoy.

I would recommend take out if you come here. The service was extremely poor, and the servers were pretty rude. They initially came over to tell us about the 45-50 minute wait for all pizzas, which we were fine with, especially considering they told us up front. But then the staff proceeded to ignore our table after constant waving and flagging for over 25 minutes. When we finally did get the attention of a server, she was pretty curt and did not apologize for ignoring our table. Then, one of our pizzas (which takes 45-50 minutes) was given to another table by mistake. The pizza was good, not quite Chicago style but very satisfying. The prices were good for what you got. But the service will stop me and my friends from returning to Windy City Pizza.

Hands down this is the best pizza I have had in Seattle since moving from Chicago. The sauce is sweet/fresh and the mozzarella/toppings were amazing. My husband and I tried the Hot Island pizza. The crust is a little softer than other deep dish pizzas I have had, but it in a way that makes the sauce/ingredients stand out more. Overall, this was a great find!
Kami Koyamatsu
Delicious pizza. The beet salad had a decent amount of beets. The staff is great at explaining that the pizza will take a while to cook and to order the pizza first before looking at add ons. They provide boardgames while you wait for your pizza. Very nice touch. Good experience.
Ritu Coleman
Best deep dish pizza in Seattle. The pizza is so delicious and frankly doesn't feel as heavy as some of the other deep dish pizza's I've had on the past. They like to burn/caramelize the cheese on the crust which adds more flavor to the already delicious pizza. Theyve got a bar with a fun drink menu and lots of open space for seating. It's great for big groups. Also, you can always order the pizza ahead of time since it takes 40 min to cook.
Tillman Erb (Zack)
The deep dish pizza and fried brussel sprouts were excellent as was the service. In spite of a busy night, interactions with every staff member were friendly, upbeat and warm. At 6:45 on a Friday there was a wait, but the hostess took our pizza order while we waited, so our food came not long after we were seated (pizzas take 40 mins to prepare). Also the daiquiri on draft was surprisingly tasty--and I'm a beer guy. We'll be back.
Casey Leaf
As a previous Chicago resident, this is as close as you can get in Seattle to the deep dish legends like Pequods. Consistently excellent, a lot of tasty pizza for a very good price, quality ingredients, and to-go packaging is done with thought and care. A real neighborhood gem.

I’m a fan of all pizza styles: Napoletana, Detroit, NYC, Chicago, you name it. If it’s done well, I’m there.
In terms of both objective quality *and* execution towards the style, I firmly believe this is the best pizza in Seattle. I spent two years in Chicago and can honestly say this is the best Chicago-style pizza I’ve had.
Does it take awhile to prepare? Yes. There’s no getting around that. Comparing this place to a brick oven pizza restaurant (where the max wait for food is seldom >20 minutes) is like comparing a noodle bar to a place that exclusively serves lasagna. It’s a fundamentally different product; each pizza needs ~30 minutes in the oven on its own.
We’ve tried many combos of toppings and have one conclusion: the candied bacon does not pair well with this pizza. It’s simply too sweet to pair with a crust that’s this buttery. Best combo of toppings we’ve found is pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms, and caramelized onions. And I’m generally of the “less is more” persuasion when it comes to high-quality pizza.
If you made it this far, do yourself a favor and place a pickup order. One pizza for 3 very hungry adults generally leaves 1-2 slices left over. And those leftovers reheat surprisingly well in the toaster oven. So... go for it! You won’t be disappointed.
Oscar Peterson
I love the board games they have available while we wait since the deep dish takes a little longer. I also felt nostalgia with the vibe and decor, staying true to Chicago with the tin ceiling. It was almost like being home.
The only thing I wish service did was utilize the seating space. We had a tiny table seated next to an empty table 3 inches away. Instead of using one of the many empty tables, he sat the new comers right next to us. We quickly left thereafter.
The burnt cheese around the crust was everything! Thank you for opening this place. I'll be back.
Kristen Allen
We had this pizza last night. I'm born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. We were so excited to have found Chicago pizza finally. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. This is not deep dish stuffed pizza like Chicago's known for. This is more like pan pizza. The sauce was good and the taste was good but not true deep dish pizza. Too much dough, not nearly enough cheese. If you're looking for pan pizza, this is a great option.
Vics
I heard all the hype about this place but was let down because when I think about Chicago style deep dish pizza I expect nothing but beautiful cheese pulls... But alas, I ordered the meatza and little cheese was to be found. It was mainly burnt into to the crust. The pizza looked super burnt too when it came out but I guess that is their style here? Anyway, this place is far for me and I took a special trip just to get a pizza here and I can say it is not worth a special trip.
Michelle Diaz
I always miss deep dish from Chicago, so when I can't go back home to get it, Windy City Pie has my back! If you hate the thick plain doughy crust that usually comes with deep dish pizza, fear not, Windy City's crust is far from that. They make cheesy magic happen with the perfect crispy texture all around the outside and it's not too thick either, making the crust a whole new deep dish experience. I'm not sure it matter what pie you get because all the ones I've had have been amazing. The beet salad is on point and so are the meatballs if you're looking for a side dish recommendation. Check these guys out, you're in for a treat!
nick murray
Love Windy City Pies. I was more 'meh' on the pie that we picked this time ('Brussel Snout' white sauce, brussel sprouts, bacon) I think the red sauce pizzas are better, but that's personal preference.
Jean Macak
Being from Chicago, I was eager to try this out. Crust was wonderful. Too much garlic in sausage or sauce. In Chicago you find very little or no garlic in a traditional Chicago pizza. Pretty darn good if you like garlic. Will be back. Great service, friendly staff
Christian Eaton
The ordering experience is unusual, but well worth it. This guy is eventually going to open a real place, but for now you have to pick it up yourself or request delivery in advance.
(Edit: now open for slices!!! No order ahead and take away required! Also, yummy drinks at Batch 206 all in one place!)
All that being said, this is the best pizza in Seattle. I was never a huge fan of deep dish, turns out I just never had good deep dish. The crust makes me feel like I've died and gone to heaven.
Get this pizza now!
kunal bhandari
Loved the pizza here. Have had the 4 peppers twice now and both times it was great. Has a neat bar and board games while your pie is in the oven. Has a fun and lively atmosphere.
Michael Lounsbery
I didn't think I was a deep dish pizza fan, but this place definitely converted me. Very tasty, with terrific crust. The beer and cocktail menu is quite good as well. We'll be coming back.
Mike Ehmann
The pizza was amazing! Took my dad, who comes from Chicago, and now he does not want pizza from any other place.
Ellen Yalowicki
Excellent pie. I give four stars because I am from Chicago and although the pie was in fact a deep dish, it does not compare to the original. True Chicago style deep dish pies have cornbread as the crust and Windy City Pies serves their pizza with a fluffy bread crust and burnt cheese around the edges (which both my husband and I agreed was our favorite part.) We came hungry and planned our day around the meal. Between the two of us we ate half the pizza and had no appetizer so I would say a pie serves three or four people. It was a fun place to visit, a little hidden, and we will probably go back again .
Chante Glick
Wonderfully flavorful sauce and toppings. We ordered roasted garlic and olives and they appear cooked into the sauce, adding to its amazing flavor. The deep dish is filled with a thick, soft crust, with no more cheese than an ordinary thin crust pizza. Compared to all the other Chicago style pizzas we've had (we were big fans of Kylie's), it felt too bready without enough cheese.
Sarah Eklund
Favorite pizza in the city! Great for takeout. If you are eating in I advise ordering ahead. With COVID the bring the takeout outside to you which I love.
Phoebe Lo
Really good deep dish pizza! Highly recommend!
Juan Sepulveda
It's just been about an hour since I ate here, but I'm concerned that this may be the best pizza I've ever had! Concerned, because as of February 2019, the new location is still not ready for prime time. You'll have to order from the website ahead of time, come up to the door at the pre-scheduled time, and take your pizza to go. This is all well worth it however, because man is it delicious!
So, for pizza aficionados, this is a stuffed pizza that is about 70% Chicago and %30 Detroit. Other stuffed pizza places in the West Coast are Patxi's and Zachery's. This pizza sets itself apart because it has the caramelized buttery crust are the edges, which is the Detroit influence. Like stuffed pizzas from Chicago, it is very thick and the sauce goes on top.
The sauce has such a delicious mixture of spices and is sweet, which is why I like this pizza better than the rest of those. I can't wait until the new location is fully ready for operation. It will be a great place to go after visiting the Woodland Park Zoo, as long as you can find parking somewhere!
Kathryn Rittweger
Great pizza, could be a little cheesier for my taste, best deep dish pizza in Seattle. The front host needs to work on his customer service and approach - almost made me leave with a party of 6, that I had really boasted how awesome Windy City is. Bartender is awesome and saved the day.
Sellenna Zhang
My favorite pizza in Seattle. Fluffy dough, delicious sauce and toppings. The cheezy crust is too good. If I like you, I order windy city if you're in town. Absolute gem that came a long way.
jason pham
Wanted to do something different for a team lunch and no one on the team had tried Chicago deep dish before so after hearing alot of good things about windy city pie, so convinced my supervisor to pay for couple of pies and the delivery.
We got three pies delivered through caviar food delivery, the classic, the omnivore and a extra cheese. All three pizza where great, totally different experience from eating a normal pizza. I probably like the classic the most of the three.
My team seriously underestimated the amount of food we were getting, though the pizza were only 12 inches wide each and there was eight of us, by the end there was still a whole pizza left if you combine the pieces. I want to try there dine in to see how a fresh one taste.
Zane M
amazing. amazing. amazing. If you like deep dish pizza this is the place. 2" thick, crispy crust, savory sauce. great value, 1 slice, maybe 2 if your hungry is a meal in itself.
William Shadbolt
If you like Chicago style deep dish pizza, this is the best place in Seattle (probably the entire Pacific Northwest). In the same part of the building as 206 Distillery (not well signed outside). Garlic brioche bread appetizer is good. One pizza easily feeds two hungry people. Take out available. Drinks ordered from the bar at 206 Distillery (great beer selection and even better cocktail selection). Great happy hour. I wish you could get just a slice any time they are open, you end up taking home most of the pizza and eating the next day (or two).
Matt Cavanaugh
Best Pizza in Seattle, hands down next to a great distillery! The collaboration of Batch 206 and Windy City Pie was a wise decision.
The first time I ordered a pizza from these guys back in 2014, it was a one-man operation. I heard this place had the best pizza in town so I had to try it. I had to email the owner, Dave 4 days in advance and give a two hour delivery window just to order the pizza. It was the most complicated pizza order I've ever had but also some of the best pizza I've ever had.
I'm so proud of where Dave has taken Windy City Pie from where he started back in 2014. It's truly the best pizza you can find in Seattle. There's nothing quite like it out here.
Mike M
We are becoming huge fans. It's a perfect place to hang at the bar after a long week and not feel rushed as the pizza will take 45 minutes anyway. The bartenders are pros yet very humble and entertaining as well. Look forward to going back more.
Blake Martin
Hands down a perfect pizza. The Sweet Pete cant get any better. 🤝Thanks God, we hoped you liked it. I have never had a pizza this good third day, no remorse eat the whole thing dont feel bad emotional or physically. Paula Abdul, straight up. Bravo pizza man. …
Matthew Powell
Amazing pizza! Hard to beat in the area, we got the meatza for two of us and had enough for two full meals!
Levi Knoke
Heard this place was having a soft opening. Drove from Tacoma to check it out. How could I go wrong PIZZA!! Let me say this place was packed when we got here. But that didn’t stop them from providing excellent service. And the pizza well for being the first time having Chicago style (don’t know if it meets their standards) excellent. Hopefully they will have music to drown out other patrons. Highly recommend this place.
Byron Moore
Windy City Pie is fantastic! I eat here everytime I travel to the Seattle area. The pizzas are authentic deep dish and are absolutely loaded and have so much flavor. The salads are great too, especially the ceasar it's a must try!! Lastly the staff are amazing and personable, and the drink selection is spot on!!
Gabe
I’m not from Chicago, but I am very down with pizza, and this pizza is fantastic. Huge fan of the Blue Pig with the added caramelized onions. Their salads are also very good, and the people who work here all seem awesome. I’m stoked that they made the move to Phinney Ridge! Although my waistline isn’t...
Mark Rowe
We had the Omnivore today and it was amazing! The flavors of the carmelized onions, spinach, house sausage and pepperoni blend so we'll together with the red sauce that it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to try it again.
Greg Rajkovic
As a native Chicagolander, I occasionally crave a good hearty deep dish pizza. When I don't make it myself, I go to Windy City Pie. The pizza here is outstanding! And, they feature spirits from the adjacent (and attached) Batch 206 - bonus! They also feature a great beer selection!
Lu Zeng
The pie is good; the service has room to grow! We pre-ordered a pie online for 7:00: the pre-ordering system is awesome, as you don't have to worry about sitting there hungrily for an hour as your pie bakes.
However, we were a party of three, and we arrived ~5 minutes before our pizza time. The server sat us outside at tables that really only fit two: there's simply not enough room for three plates as well as the pizza. The table was not only small but also rickety, making it hard to cut the substantial crust. Worst of all, larger tables inside cleared soon after we'd gotten our drinks, and no offer was made to have us sit inside where we would be more comfortable.
It would have been a much better dining experience had the server just said, "we'll have a table in 10 minutes, thanks guys for being early" -- it's ok to have us wait for a table! We know our pizza's coming! Also, fix the tables outside.
Anyway; it looks like I'm not alone in commenting on the lackluster service, and it also looks like the owners don't reply to these reviews. But if you don't care about service, why bother getting a restaurant at all?
Daniel Collins
If you’re looking for a traditional, flaky pie-crust’ish Chicago deep dish (e.g., Lou’s, Gino’s or Giordano’s) with the dramatic cheese pulls this is not the place. Windy City Pie specializes in a variation of deep dish popularized by the late Burt Katz in Chicago (Pequod’s) that is more of a hybrid between deep dish & a Detroit/Sicilian pan pizza. The defining characteristic is the caramelized cheese that melts & chars into the outside of the crust during baking.
I think Windy City Pie does a pretty fantastic job emulating the Pequod’s style. It’s baked beautifully, the caramelized crust is spot-on, and the toppings are perfect (giardiniera - hell yes!). My only gripe is that I thought the crust itself was a little sweet, which typically isn’t my preference. I was hoping for more of a savory pop. Other than that, the pizza is pretty much perfect for what it sets out to do.
As a born and raised Chicagoan and pizza enthusiast, I salute Windy City Pie!
Mark Davidson
Came in late not realizing they closed in 45 minutes and it takes 30 minutes to make a pizza (Chicago takes awhile be prepared folks). I even offered to take my food to go and the staff was very cool about letting me stay to eat and enjoy it. Just because I came in late doesn’t mean you should. But give these guys a try. They are legit.
Heather Mcduff (she/her)
I want to get all wordy like a lot of reviewers but its pretty simple. BEST AND MOST UNIQUE PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD! Hands down. This is the spot from here on out. Also let me mention I got delivery from in house, tasted just as fresh as if I'd been dining in. Love that I can support Windy City without any 3rd party b.s....again so effin amazing. Yum.
Noel Tiongson
This place is delicious. I'm a New York style pizza guy. But, this pizza is a must. The crispy crust to the bomb marinara. I love it. The only down fall no parking and hard to find. This place is located inside the distillery. And we parked in the back.
Harrison McGuire
Clean place, greeted quickly, pre-ordered our pizza at home before arriving. Was able to sit down get a salad, beer and pizza. We got the Mama Mia pizza. The pizza is Chicago style and really good.
A P
It's a beast of a pie that you get here. Just be patient and don't eat it right away, you will burn your mouth. Let it cool a bit and then cut it and eat. You'll want to use cutlery for this one but it's worth it. It's the thickest, freshest and more delicious pie you'll have.
Parker Duncan
Now as a pizza guy myself, I can not stress enough how pizza this pizza is. I saw the pictures and was like man, this place is legit. I was going to start with a 3 star rating to balance ratings, but I decided to go in to and have a pie and it was a 3000 star experience. I met Dave. He is ight, but the coolest dude there is James. Long live the pie.
Matt Zenick
Is it as good as the best deep dish pizza in Chicago? I have no idea, and I don't really care - this pizza is amazing and by far the best I have had in Washington. Excellent sauce, excellent topping, very well balanced flavors. Thank you!
James Carson
Pretty good take on deep dish pizza.
Staff is awesome and they sell hecking Malört.
Randolph Mckinnon
Long time fan of this place. The pies are great and seriously, the Brussel Snout pizza is my hands down favorite pie, ever.
Ken Wyatt
Loaded pie, with huge chuncks of your favorite toppings. We ordered online during their soft opening on Deep Dish Pie Day and it was busy but we got our order in time no problems. I also love the cheese around the edges.
Jess Gray
Great deep dish pizza. Crust really shines.
Got the impression their liquor license may not allow under 21 year olds in the main dining area, but the bar left a favorable impression on my group.
Good option to take to the brewery next door that allows outside food.
Parking in front is limited, but there's more next to the dog lounge and around bar.
Waleed Khan
This is the best pizza I've had in Seattle so far.
But be careful about their proposed serving sizes: each of their pizzas really only feeds three people, not four like they claim, or fewer if you eat a lot. I recently went in a group of seven people, and we ordered three pizzas and had only one slice remaining at the end.
Jackson Wood
We live in the neighborhood and often get Windy City on the regular. Easily our favorite place in Seattle when it comes to pizza of any variety.
Matt Perrone
I can't speak highly enough of Windy City Pie. They have the coolest back story of how they started, and how they've migrated from the SoDo neighborhood to Interbay. Their pizza is probably the best in Seattle, a wonderful ratio of sauce to cheese to toppings, and a perfectly cooked dough thick enough to be classified as lasagna. The caramelized crust has this crunch that makes you want an entire pizza that way. They have plenty of toppings options, and this should be ordered for a few people per pie, unless you want to go into a food coma since this is a lot of food. You definitely get what you pay for here, and since they know have a physical location, you can even grab a drink and sit down with it.
Qmo Liao
Surprised pizza, I have never eaten this. I think it is like a cake. I will think of it next time in Pike.
Levi Joslin
Damn good pizza. I ordered the Classic, and the sauce had the perfect amount of spiciness. Not the best beer selection, but redeemed by the tasty mixed drinks, due to it being attached to Batch 206 distillery.
Braden Fischer
The pizzas were incredible, so were the cocktails, even the beet salad was superb. Service was friendly and prompt. Try the Sweet Pete. Highly recommend.
Ry Guy
Must stop in your way through Seattle. Great Chicago style pizza. And if you're lucky enough to get Eric as your bartender, you'll get that extra knowledge and service that elevates the cocktail experience to greater heights!
Natalie Lockwood
Their pizzas are amazing! These guys are hard working artisans of their pizza craft, sharing a community kitchen that they run their business out of. A bit tricky to find them as their pickup is down a vravel alley past Atlas, but worth it to get a great pizza!
Rick Carpenter
Wanted to hate it. I really did. Man is this good. So good. No joke Chicago deep dish. A word of advice - follow their instructions and order well ahead. If at all possible, either eat on site (ideal) or make sure your eating destination is within 5-10 minutes of when you get it. This is a moment-of-perfection situation. So legit.
Daniel Marciante
Being from Chicago, I struggled with a 4 or 5 rating, not because the pizza isn't excellent, but because I'm more of a Gino's and Lou's kind of guy. That means my preference is a bit thinner and crunchier crust, with more mozzarella cheese embedded in the pie. But I had to try Windy City. And though their crust is more thick and spongy, the pie was delicious. I will always be a Gino's preferred kind of guy, but I will also frequent Windy City for a taste of Chicago right here in the Emerald City.
Blaine Le Comte
This is the true deep dish pizza that Seattle has been wanting. The crust is a bite that lets you know it is there but then crumbles away with garlic flavor. Simple decor and unpretentiousness, but none of that matters. Eat this pizza where ever they offer it.
John Blue
Probably the best Chicago Style pizza I have ever eaten. Even better than most places in Chicago. Try the candied bacon and pepperoni.. it is phenomenal.
Drinks are good.. but pizza is fantastic
Bao Vang
Not worth the price and wait. Wished pizze was more cooked. Ordered one with meat and spinach and it did not taste good together. I'll have to give it another shot. One thing I did love is the family friendly atmosphere.
Fred Wiesinger
Tasty pies, but I found the crust a bit too thick, compared to most of the chicago style pizzas I've had. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and helpful when I picked up my take-out pies.
Andrew Czernek
Hard to find but it's housed alongside the 206 Distillery. Note too that Windy City Pie takes debit/credit cards but the bar in the distillery takes only cash. Pizzas are very good; we found ours to be better reheated after being frozen (about 35 minutes in 350-degree oven).
Na Tasha
We came in to pick up our order and they sent us home with the wrong pie. We texted them our order receipt and photos of the pie that didn't match up. They made and sent the correct pie to our house in 35 minutes. Thanks for saving our pizza night👍🍕 …
Daniel Park
Adjacent to Batch 206 Distillery, this pizza joint is a great way to start or end a distillery tour.
You place your order at the register and you can drink while you wait. The bar itself is a bit limited as far as I can tell, however they have all of the flagship batch 206 distillery liquors available along with several craft beers on tap. I believe they have cheap canned beers as well, however I'd recommend springing the extra two bucks for a draft beer.
Aside from being busy and the wait time for the food to arrive (which was expected) - the vibe was like some sort of communal beer hall or tavern. There were a few larger tables to share with strangers, which I could be bad or good -depending on happenstance; as well as some smaller tables.
I guess they are known for their deepdish pizza, which I thought was alright. One pizza was more enough for the party of four I went with (two slices left over). Overall worth it, I guess..
Carrie Stelter
Great pizza and friendly staff. Location can get deaffenly loud when packed, but that's the space they're in. Front host seemed a bit brash, but that was refreshing. Pizza takes about 45 mins, but again, that comes with the territory. It was a small piece of home for my transplant husband.
Katie Carl
Great pizza 😍 if doing the current outdoor covid patio dining, id suggest bringing a group of at least 3 people so you get seated off the busy street. But still even on the busy street, great!!!
Bruce Beauchamp
Although my pizza was good, and better than the usual chain/franchise pizzas, I thought it was overrated, very expensive & way over priced; the most expensive pizza I've ever bought ($29 for the Classic). It was smothered with mass quantities of crushed tomatoes that overpowered the other flavors & was skimpy on the sausage.
Evan
It's no Lou Malnati's, but it's probably the best you can find in the Seattle area!
Jessica Bidwell
If there were a sixth star, I'd give it. This pizza is better than the famous deep dish pizza I had IN Chicago. The crust - I can't even begin to tell you how much the crust makes this pizza. It's like eating a flaky, brioche bun covered in crisp caramelized cheese. Now, the toppings. We had the veggie and omg it was heavenly. The red bell pepper, caramelized onions, mushrooms, spinach and tons of mozzarella cheese? It's perfect. The website says "Serves 4 hungry adults", but beware. It is enough for 4 hungry adults, don't get me wrong. But if you're planning on ordering a pizza and starting a Netflix binge night with your hubby, you'll end up eating 3/4 of it and finishing it off for brunch the next day. This pizza leaves you craving more so eat at at your own risk. We are currently trying to be nice and let each other have the last piece, but I'm secretly planning on ordering another tonight. The sickness has started...
Kate Arsenault
Goodness gracious. This is some of the best pizza I've had in Seattle. Try the Tuscany Raider. You won't be dissappointed. One thing to note is pizzas are cooked to order, so it's at least 45 minutes to get food. Totally worth the wait though.
Daniel Gorbunov
Honestly, everything on their main specialty menu that they recommend you have is all spicy and has some version of hot peppers. I didn’t like the deep dish pies, maybe it’s just not for me, the consistency felt weird. The pies take ~30min just to get out of the kitchen
Bil E
sweet pete in a box (you’ll need a knife to go folks), nice mix of toppings, the right amount of cheese. spicy and sweet, i like this sauce. will feed two hungry peeps (and thousands of meeples). i will eat you again, though i’ll need to earn it (holy heck the calories!).
aprameya rao
This is my new indulgence. The pizza is decadent. The sauce is sublime. The cocktails are good. It is highly recommended when you want to Treat Yourself.
Christopher Morgan
Super delicous. The crust is mozzarella folded and slightly burnt. Really good flavor and texture. Wait time was about 20 mins. Worth it for us. Also at 30 dollars seems steep but fed us both 2 times so 4 meals.
John Davies
A simple fun place to get together with friends. Large tables and order at counter.Pizza is the closest to Chicago style I have found. Shares space with a bar with local drinks and beers. 21+ only and pre-order pizza online.
Omar Guzman
My girlfriend and I took an hour walk to get to this location and let me tell you, it was worth it!
The pizza is a bit pricey, but it had an amazing quality and taste. The place is located inside a brewery which allows you to eat some great pizza and order some drinks from the bar.
Keith Cote
The legendary Seattle-based Chicago-style deep dish pizza makers now have their own digs, complete with a bar. The pizza is of course as delicious as always. But now you can get the REAL Chicago experience by having cocktails made with the infamous Jepsen's Malört. Or you can just get shots of it since they actually have Jepsen's on tap.
Joshua Lang
Pretty good pizza. Nice crispy caramelized cheese on sides. Would eat again.
Connie Kent
We visit here Everytime we visit Seattle. Best deep dish pizza I have ever had. Order ahead and they will have it ready when you get there since it takes about 30minutes to cook.
Justin Grasse
as a chicago native, i would NOT recommend this as a replacement for visiting the real Windy City for deep dish, but this unique-spin is worth MANY repeat visits!
With access to craft cocktails and tasty craft beers, this should be a go-to party destination for medium-sized groups with a big appetite for forks-required pizza!
Wes Potter
Easily the best deep dish pizza in Seattle. Their cheese crisped edges are a highlight every time I bring new friends, and the shared space with Batch 206 always makes for an excellent experience.
M Watson
Deep dish pizzas, its own bar, a great atmosphere for communal eating in a distillery-esque space, and sometime host to evening entertainment like comedians or bands make this a great spot for dinner. A little pricey food, but great for the the modern foodie and occasional catch-ups among friends from out of town.
Jessica Turner
Omg love love love this pizza. The wait is long but definitely worth it. It's also great take out, reheats awesome in the oven
Dave S
Visited from Chicago while at holy mountain brewery next door, great pizza reminiscent of Pequod's back home. Great pie with a caramelized crust and friendly staff . Ate next door but the restaurant space was great and shared with a distillery
Kulpreet Rana
Better than I expected. Had gone to Pequod's in Chicago (after which this pizza is based) and was a bit disappointed because the ratios were off - there was too much dough. The ratio at Windy City Pie is definitely better.
Daryl Ducharme
Got two pizzas here during quarantine. They were kind and the pies were great when I got home. Very filling, so I can also say that they test great reheated as well.
Honest RC
This place is like a place a have never seen. The food is good, the staff are great (tip them well) but the layout is odd. The morni doesn't have the basic drinks on there so you have to ask if they have soda. When you order your food you can not order your drinks in the same place, you have to go to the bar to order drinks. The place is kinda small with a small parking lot in front but there is other parking down the road. Since the place is small you have to be respectful and when your done eating you should leave so someone else can sit down and eat their pie. So if you like the bar environment and you like good Chicago style and don't mind small places then you will love this place.

Cannot imagine how there are bad reviews for this pizza. Not only best pizza in Seattle but best pizza in the country. Chicago cannot match this Chicago style pizza place. Went here twice in two days on my honeymoon.
Owen Rogers
I was expecting something truly extraordinary based on the glowing reviews, but our pizza didn't surpass "good." Somehow the sum if the ingredients didn't quite add up... Nothing obviously bad, but also nothing that struck us as amazing.
MsGator2011
Excellent white cheese pizza with lots of veggies including Brussels sprout - not only tasty but sooo filling !! the side beet salad was the most delicious salad I have ever eaten.
All in all a great place to eat.
Eric Ramos
I picked up for take out, but it's a cozy warm space, only for 21+. The pizza is phenomenal!!! I could barely eat a quarter of a 12". I highly recommend. Also a good date place.
John N.
Small shop front with plenty of space inside. Good deep dish pizza with minimal dough crust but plenty of filling and crisped sides.
Lots of board games available and the encourage you to enjoy your time.
Joe Gockowski3
Great pie! Tasty beer. Great atmosphere.
Maricruz Acuna
Excellent pizza and in my top 3 favorites. We came all the way from Oregon just to try this. The only thing that was weird was that the sauce is at the very top lol 😆 …
Jake Lemberg
Literally the best pizza I have ever had. The crust is amazing, and the sauce makes everything other pizza sauce taste like ketchup. Do not hesitate to try this place, amazing.
Robert Voight
Meatza is our usual treat together with the schrute red beets salad. We were running late, arriving around 10:30pm on Saturday night. The restaurant was empty except for the employees. We hoped that they could still accommodate us even though it was 30 minutes before closing time. David the owner welcomed us and it felt like a private event just for us; he had old school hip hop on the playlist - awesome!
Make the time to go and enjoy the delicious food.
John Reese
This place is the real deal. Authentic Chicago style pizza with a killer bar. Any other Illinois natives who relocated to Seattle will be pleased by the quality of the food and the excellent service.
Chris Miller
With Chicago pizza it’s more about the right cheese and sauce. And of course baking it in an oven older than your uncle. Not sure how these guys make these in the PNW but it is delicious. Takes me back!
Nathan Taggart
The pizza is pretty solid and you can eat it there in the Batch Bar, next door at Holy Mountain, or take it to go. Since it's thick Chicago style, make sure you plan for about 30 minutes for it to be prepped.
Timothy Javins
This place smells awesome. The pizza is a great experience. The staff take quality very seriously and put in the effort to make sure every pizza is exactly how it's supposed to be. Ambience is very nice.
Caroline Kim Hulse
The food here is great. The people here are so nice and attentative. They take really good care of people here. :) They have outdoor seating.
Awesome hospitality. Money well spent. Thank you so much!
Julian D
Darn good. I recommend the Popeye. These pizzas taste good and will fill you up right quick. Truly deep dish and the best deep dish I've had in Seattle.
Sarena Meas
I loved it here. I came in as soon as they opened and it took only 30 minutes for the pizza. There was a lot of tomato sauce so it was very savory. I love extra tomato sauce.
Keegan Dunn
This is the real deal guys; soft drinks intentionally labeled "pop", pizza is similar to piquad's but even fresher/more flavorful. The white sauce pizzas also are good!
Matt Pearcy
Never been to Chicago so I can't speak to authenticity, but this is some the best pizza I've ever had.
Erik Schultz
Best Chicago style pizza I've had in Seattle. I spent 5 years in Chicago so I have a good point of reference, and this is really good deep dish.
Jason Brunelle
Very traditional Chicago pie. Great drinks.
Jared McCaslin
An interesting location, looks like a warehouse. Don't be fooled by appearances, their pizza is a must have in their restaurant. Heavy on sauce, which I like, not good for staying in place during transport though no matter how hard you try.
Jack Rasmussen
I’m from Chicago. This is damn good pie. They caramelize the crust like Pequods. Nobody can ever surpass Lous, but I would put this pizza in that category.
Derek Turner
I wanted Chicago style deep dish, I sure got it.. I think this far one of the deliciousos pies that I ate, even thought i bought at 5ish and drove home and put in oven to heat up just a bit and I do say I know where I am get my next pie at....
Michael Priddy
One of my favorite pizzas in Seattle! My only complaint is it's small and the times I have been there the music has been metal and really loud, was hard to have a conversation with someone just sitting across the table.
Yaeka Katsuta
Worth the wait to get this cheesey, delicious, caramelized crust pizza
Cameron Lowell
Huge pizzas and full of flavor. One pizza easily fills 4 people, 5 people could work. Lots of toppings and a nice toasty crust. I'll definitely be back here!
Lori Shaffer
Real (and real good) Chicago-style pizza! Not just another west coast version of Chicago pizza, but the real deal! New prepared for a wait--it's worth it!
Shannon McKenzie
First time ever eating deep.dish pizza and wasn't disappointed. Two and a half slices were more than enough to fill me up. Definitely go for the Meatzza!
Meredith Clarke
By far the best Chicago style pizza in Seattle. The carmelized cheese on the edges is to die for. Get the meatballs while you wait!
Cameron Walker
Great deep dish pizza (like really amazing), and good beer selection. The pies take some time to bake, so plan ahead or get an appetizer.
Joe Lavin
This place is really great and it is the closest thing to an authentic Chicago deep dish pizza I have seen in Seattle. The only negatives are the parking and the wait time were it is busy... But hey, it is Seattle!
Erika Rivas
Definitely worth giving a try, it's something different for Seattle but I personally thinks it's Great & there's whiskey & beer you can't go wrong. Best pizza hands down for me.
Heather Hughes
Great deep dish pizza. Delicious both fresh out of the oven and reheated. Staff are sort friendly and helpful!
Stefa H
What a cool spot with yummy pizza! Highly recommend ordering before you go via their online system. Super easy and your pizza is ready when you get there!
Rohan Thomas
Not really a fan... The deep dish had more flour than stuffing. They also only had deep dish. So kids had a tough time given singular menu
Edgar Van Lieshout
Authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza. And they have cocktails. How cool is that. No parking however - street only.
Kartik Murthy
Best deep dish in Seattle hands down. Their pickup windows make it super easy to order and predictably know when your pie will be ready
Caleb Czimskey
Terrific pizza, even with certain ways to cut into it. Dining room is a little uninviting and parking is almost non-existent. Two businesses in one building so get your drinks with your pizza.
Cory Brubaker
I was really excited to try Windy City after eating at all the hot spots in Chicago with my wife during our honeymoon. Windy City did not disappoint. It was pizza bliss followed by a deep sleep. "I'll be back!"
Gordon Scott
Ordered delivery so cannot speak to restaurant itself but the pizza was delicious. Would definitely go back again if I was looking for deep dish style pizza
Andrew R
We pre ordered our pie for eat in at a specific time. We arrived, took our table, got drinks and the pie was ready and delicious. Definitely recommend.
Max Holmberg
The pizza takes a while but it's worth the wait. Interesting soda selections as well and they have cool cocktails and such as well- even Malort.
Filipe Fortes
Chicago style deep dish that you pick up on a street corner like a drug deal. My pizza toppings and sauce were fantastic, but the crush was a little soft.
Ashwin Chandra
This is as deep dish at it gets, simple and delicious and so fulfilling. Go hungry!
Thom van Tijn
One of the best deep dish spots in the country full stop. The closest you'll get to Pequod's outside of Chicago.
Audri
It wasn’t bad. But it’s regular amount of pizza toppings to incredible amount of bread. Fix the ratio and it’ll be better. I feel like I spent $30 for more than that ratio
William Pittman
Fantastic pizza. What with the Current Situation, I've been trying to do takeout from all the local businesses that I haven't tried before. Windy City is by and far my favorite discovery.
Connor Jackson
Really good pie, transported me back to Chicago, not that I've been but felt like I have lived there and was missing something deep inside me. A hole left by my love of deep dish pizza
Jessica Krucina
The deep dish pizza is fabulous here and we really enjoy getting takeout.
Antonio Aedo
Amazing pizza! You gotta have it!
Briell Thomsen
The pizza was pretty good, it was a little upsetting that I couldn't call in my order or talk to anyone and ask questions about the pies, especially since I had mever been there and ended up getting a pizza without any meat unintentionally.
Morgan Mataya
Amazing deep dish pizza but be prepared for a little bit of a wait. All pizzas made fresh to order.
Luis Daniel Ballesteros
One of a kind deep dish style pizza. Dense with flavor and technique. One pizza can feed 2-3 people
wilson lam
Best deep dish I've had on the west coast so far! It's not quite at the level of Lou Malnati's but it's as close as you'll get in Seattle
Savahna Amaro
Got the Meatza here before a Comedy show at Batch. The pizza was delicious and came much faster than I imagined. Will definitely order again!
Gerard Gousman
I am glad I don't live closer to it cuz I'd eat here everyday. Great ingredients, cool staff, well stocked bar. Crust is nearly perfect.
Stefan Bennett
Amazing pizza! Soft thick dough, delicious sauce, tasty meat. Everything I want a deep dish to be.
Han Xi
Typically I would prefer a naples-style pizza, but this thick one is an exception, and very good value for price.
James Pacyga
Great Chicago style deep dish (and only deep dish). A great Seattle option for a Chicagoan who misses Pequods.
(NOTE: 21 and over in dining only)
Scott Roberts
It's not the traditional stuffed Chicago pizza like Lou Malnati's or Giordanos. It is more like Pequod's, which is a great Chicago thick crust pizza.
Brian Corbett
Amazing flavorful deep dish pizza. Not doughy medium thick crust with incredible amount of fillings and flavor
Rich Thornber
Closest Chicago deep dish in Seattle I've found. Thank you Windy City Pie!
Peggy O'Connor
Windy City Pie delivers phenomenal, huge pizza! Every bite is savory and sooo delicious. I will order again as soon as possible!
Eric Byrnes
This is the best pizza I’ve ever had. It’s been months and I still rave about it. Will be checking out the new location soon!
Chris Smith
Authentic Chicago pizza! Great service! Yummy cocktails!
Jerry Holmes
I really love their mushroom pie. Prices are bearable and service was spot on. Thank god for more pizza selections in Seattle!
Terri Smith
Not exactly Giordanos in Chicago. Tomato sauce a bit to sweet. Otherwise good pizza, very filling.
Joe Drake
Best deep dish pizza in Seattle. The caramelized mozzarella crust is to die for.
Elizabeth Oestreich
Delicious! Love all the choice of toppings. Well worth ordering ahead.
Jeff Almeida
A better Chicago-style pizza than other Seattle alternatives, but it's still not Giordano's.
John Clarke
Great pizza and a fun atmosphere, but I highly recommend ordering ahead as it can take quite a while to get your food.
Chad Wilkerson
Real deep dish! I ate so much I could barely move. If you love pizza you will love this place.
Monica Nelsen
Always amazing pizza and service. Be prepared for a wait, but it's totally worth it. Recommend ordering online first
Skip Johnson
This pizza was fantastic. I'm a huge fan of the cheesy crust. Can't wait for their seating area to open!
Lynn Drake
Great pizza and they support the community by focusing on the health of their customers and staff.
Sophia Fischer
If you haven't been, you're missing out. One of the best (if not THE best) pizza places in town.
P Lenee Hicks
Great flavor and a serious eating experience. It's worth the wait. I wish they had salami though
Mark Brigden
The meatza was the best Meat pizza we ever had! Incredible
Pink Bobsledder
Good pie. Noisy, place could use some acoustic help - a lot of shouting at people next to you - Granted it was Friday night. Nice plants!
Eugene Cho
Tasty but way too much bread in crust, needs to be more pastry like and use ricotta on the cheese to be authentic Chicago style
Eric Ringger
The Omnivore was just about right for four hungry purple. Great order online process and curbside pickup.
Brendan Liu
The Chicago style pizza was really good, the service was even better! Highly recommended!
Ryan Steffen
Good deep dish pie and quality beer. Pick up was straight forward and worth the drive.
Brandon A
Pizza is really filling so be warned, but it's also quite tasty
Constantine Shcherbyna
Super delicious pizza. The place serves only pies and some drinks, but it's the best pizza in Seattle
Michael Knopp
Best Chicago deep dish I've ever had. Period. A bit spendy but the experience is great!
Amelia Burger
If the restaurant is full, they will let you take your pizza to the brewery next door. Great service and very tasty.
Sharon Scoble
First deep dish and it was excellent. Sweet Pete was fantastic...that pineapple and giardiniera!
Benjamyn Johnson
Fantastic food! Staff was great about explaining what was what and made great suggestions! Good beers, good whiskey, had a great dinner:)
Adam Berkeley
Tasty Chicago-style, but lacks the soul necessary for 5 stars. Worth a trip for sure, but to do this right in Seattle, you have to go big. Not sure they are there yet.
Daniel M
Pizza is really amazing. No pizza compares. Bar and atmosphere is also great. All around great experience.
Aaron Farris
Great deep dish pizza. Gresy and full of flavor. Service wasn't too personable.

Chicago style pizza located in the Batch 206 distillery. Great staff.

Shana Gitnick
Mmmm. Best deep dish pizza in Seattle. Yum.
Madelyn McCullough
Amazing deep dish with creative combinations (and classic) of topping with toasted cheese all along the crust. Yum.

Dan Goodman
Excellent Chicago style pizza. Totally not disappointed. We will definitely be back!
Patrick Harding
If I took a picture of the plate would be empty. The food is the good. Plus Batch206 makes great drinks.
Sean Bloomfield
Great drink selection (plus Malort), all the salad names are good puns, the pizza is delicious.
Green Monkey
For Pizza, this is a heart attack. Deep dish and crispy edges. I will be taking heartburn Medicine... But worth it.
Agnes Aberdeen
Their pizza is awesome and the waitresses are super kind! Nothing else to say but go try it for yourself!
eric anderson
Malort on tap. Thats enough for me.
Bonus points for a team that was just killing it on a busy night.
Oh, and that pizza gives chicago a run for its money.
Wendy Van Vechten
Interesting take on Chicago style deep dish pizza. The crust is made with brioche dough.

Meagan Stover
Dining on the patio was lovely and everyone was great. Food was phenomenal!
Charles H
May have been the by-the-slice pizzas that we're available that day, but they weren't nearly as "deep" as I've had at their prior Elliott Ave location.
David Levy
I've eaten at quite a few pizza places in Chicago. Lou malnattis, Leona's, Giordano's etc. This is nothing like it

The only legit Chicago style pizza in Seattle. Try the Tuscany Raider.
