Called in an order of calzones to go from the resto one evening on the way home. Hubby had a craving for the pesto, pine nuts and dried tomatoes calzone he used to have regularly from Varlamos - he said it was the best one of all the places he has tried. I ordered a meat calzone for the little kiddo. The calzones both came with a side salad and our preferred dressing in a small container. The calzones were huge (each was good for two small adults) but my kiddo loved his so much he insisted that I give the restaurant 5 stars, and asked if he can have the left over the next day (he devoured 2/3 of the dish). I had the two salads (they were nice and crisp) while hubby guiltily ate all the pine nut calzone. The calzones were made to order so we waited a while for the order but it was worth it. So, five stars for the pizzeria as ordered =)

Absolutely fantastic place! Great little pizzeria, nice decor, super friendly staff, and chill environment. They have a bar as well which is nice. The main draw is the pizza! These pizzas are pan cooked, which means you get a slightly thicker crust. But not like Chicago style pan though, for those of you that remember godfather's from however many years ago, this brings back memories of that, which is a fantastic thing! And definitely a good deal, especially when compared with somewhere like pagliacci's!!

Visiting Seattle & the area from IL, I actually chose this place because I was trying to find the pizza joint my friend went to when he was little. Unfortunately this was not it, but it's the best pizza we have had so far and we have been to 3 local places. So flavorful, the cheese was really good, the pizza bread was delicious, my friends thought it could use more sauce but I like less so I loved it. We got just a regular pepperoni pizza and also some mozzarella sticks which were AMAZING, possibly the best I've ever had. The marinara sauce was delicious too. I wish I could take this place back home with me. 2nd most expensive, but this one has come in 1st place for me.

Great quality Italian-American comfort food. I ordered one of the pan pizzas, and it was extremely delicious - sauce, cheese, dough all right on point. The starter salad was also tasty and very generous. Service was efficient, and the atmosphere/vibe the kind of non-pretentious family-run joint where you dine with friends/family without breaking the bank. Definitely worth a visit.

I like Varlamos. The food is good. The service is good. They have a calzone that's the size of a football. I usually get the mini pizza and salad, its just enough for lunch. The food always comes out on time. They have sports going on the TVs and music going while you eat. Parking in that area is a bit tight but we always manage to find somewhere to park. Looks like they just remodeled and added a bar area as well. Always go back..

Quick service with great pizza, discount if you have a patient at the Children's hospital. Pizza is deep dish style and delicious. I got two of the specialties which were fantastic. They also have a happy hour and bar area open after 4pm.

3 stars for the food. I ordered online & they tried to short me on my food. I paid for mini pizza, spinach fingers, & two juices. The juices they gave me were not the juices I ordered and they told me nothing. Furthermore they forgot to prepare my spinach fingers. The host told me that those were not on the order. I showed him the receipt assuming he actually looked at the order recorded through seamless and he looked confused. He then told me it would be 20 minutes and asked if it was ok. I didn’t have a choice, y’all already took my money of course I’m going to get what I paid for. Terrible customer service experience. If the pizza wasn’t bomb, I would’ve given a 1 star.

I've been going to Varlamos for over a decade, and I'm as big a fan now as a 30-something who's downing my weekly carb intake in one go as I was when I was a college student turning one calzone into lunch, dinner, then breakfast the next day. The food here, all of it, is just GOOD. Quality ingredients, recipes that have been perfected over time, and a quality beer selection to round out your meal. Combine that with a super staff, and you have a pizza joint I'll recommend to anyone who's listening.

I have passed Varlamos everyday for over 6 years, and today we decided to stop in. While it was almost empty, it took several minutes just to be acknowledged by waitstaff. But, once we were seated, the service and food were wonderful! I absolutely loved my dinner and will go back soon.

The pizza was a little salty. The wings were juicy but they were not crisp on the outside and overly caked with seasoning. It wasn't bad but I definitely didn't feel this was their best.

I was invited to dinner at this casual , clean and cute pizza place. It was easy to find, has parking around the corner, tasty cocktails at the quaint little bar, friendly service and great food. The Monday night special of a HUGE calzone & salad for $ 8.95 was unbelievable. I'll be back!!

Pizza so good! I made the mistake of having a slice while walking out with my pickup order. Pizza so good that I couldn't stop eating it hot out the oven. It was burning my lips, tongue, mouth and I believe I burnt my teeth and gums. '-) So good.

In my opinion, the best pizza in Seattle!!! It kind of reminds me of Godfather's way back in the day. The calzones are HUGE! The chicken parmesan is another favorite of mine. The staff is friendly and all the food is excellent! I used to live nearby and went often. I live 100 miles away now, but when I'm in the area I always do my best to eat there. I'll even order and extra meal for my lunch the next day! Great place to go if you're in town to watch the Dawgs - it's super close to the stadium!

We were here on vacation and this restaurant was right down the road from us. We got take out by ordering online which was quick and easy. The portions you get are huge and it was some of the best Italian food I've had! If you're in the area I would definitely recommend stopping by!

This is a great pizza place. Very flavorful! Huge Calzones that are literally the size of a football. They are local and support those in the local community too- including the elementary school and Children's Hospital. Those go above and beyond with hospital families even giving everyone staying at the hospital a discount. Once in a while we will see the UW basketball team there or UW football players. This is by far my family and kids favorite restaurant.

Went here because I was nearby and looking for food with my family. At first it seemed pricey but the portion turned out to be about 3 meals worth for someone my size, so it was actually pretty great! The sub was tasty

Pizza was awesome. One tip if you can help it do not sit in a seat facing the kitchen. I spent all night looking at all the awesome looking food come out and questioning my order. In the end I was very happy that I did get the pizza.
