Reviews of The Pink Door

So excited that I finally got to try this restaurant and it definitely lived up to the hype! Hidden in an alley near Pike Market and only identifiable by their signature pink door, this restaurant feels like stepping into an old vaudeville theater. When we went, there was a live band with an amazing vocalist playing blues/Americana music.
They have an awesome wine selection and very knowledgeable staff. My favorite dish was the lasagna which was decadent and creamy with these delicious spinach noodles that didn't overpower the dish. Such an enjoyable experience - I can't wait to come again!
I recommend making a reservation. Decent parking garage options in the area as well as some lots/street parking if you're willing to walk a bit further.

I've been wanting to go to The Pink Door for years so I took a few coworkers from out of town here and we enjoyed it. For some reason I thought their food was going to be over the top delicious. Don't get me wrong it's good but nothing from the hype that everyone puts into it. I would say it's average but the atmosphere and the live music is on point and it's a great vibe. I've been wanting to find a perfect arancini ever since I went to Italy and this is the spot to get it! It was amazing! I'll be back just to get these! The pasta was good but the dishes could've used more sauce that was a consensus from all. The prices are affordable that's for sure. We stayed for a few hours, enjoyed the food, atmosphere, jazz band and company. The service could've been quicker but the waitress was extremely nice and knowledgeable. There's no reason why I wouldn't go back.

I cannot recommend this place enough. As much as I’d like to keep it to ourselves this restaurant is one of my all time favorites. Perfect spot for a date night, celebration, or just a good eat. The steak was seared and cooked to perfection topped with perfection. The ambience is great and the drinks are amazing as well. The bartender was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The pasta is to die for and the pictures I’ve posted don’t do enough justice.

An extremely posh place to have italian cuisine. Good to have reservations for this place. It had good vegetarian options as well as a good selection of drinks to choose from. I had the corn of the cob and lasagna. I would recommend the place to anyone. It is a bit of road and can be difficult to spot but worth the vibe, ambience and experience.

I happened across an article about this restaurant while in Seattle and had to try it, based on the photo of the lasagna. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It was superb. So delicious, filling and I left sad I would probably never have it again. My friend felt the same way and we spoke of it often during the rest of our trip. On our last day in Seattle we stopped in again to see if we could get a table. We got lucky with a seat at the bar. Unfortunately, you can have too much of a good thing. The second time around just didn't hit the spot like the first time. But, if you do visit the Pink Door, I'd definitely recommend the lasagne. Just pace yourself! The decor was also nice and the staff were all cheerful and welcoming.

The food and drinks are great. The clam pasta and grilled whole fish were amazing. Green salad and antipasto were great. Service was friendly and we were well treated. The only thing that didn't meet my expectation was the chairs. They were too high for the tables so you tend to bend your back while having food.

Fantastic food and a fun atmosphere. On the pricier side but we’ll within reason and totally justified once you taste the food. The pasta dishes are our favorites but it’s hard to go wrong with the menu.
Always a stop for us when we’re in Seattle!

A place without a name tag.. you have to find the pink door to enter! Food will not disappoint. Quality is superb from the apps to desserts. So delicious but not too filling. I hope the vongole pasta portion is a bit bigger though for the price they charge. The decor is also nice and the staff are all cheerful and welcoming.

Top notch, class act establishment in every way... the food, drinks, service, entertainment and atmosphere are all outstanding. Of the many restaurants my wife and I visited during our five day trip to Seattle, this is the place we enjoyed the most. And we kind of stumbled upon it. There is no sign outside, just a pink door and pink trim on the windows in an alley of sorts. Heck, it was dark when we arrived and we couldn't even detect the pink on the door. We happened to see people going in and out, looked in the windows, thought it looked great, and didn't know where we were until we actually went in and asked. It was all thumbs up from there. Don't miss it. Highly recommended!

Main deduction: Food portion is small.
The winter risotto is great. The flavor is very special and the hazelnut on top is a huge plus to the dish. However, the duck leg actually has a smell.
The other seafood broth entree is okay. But the portion is still too small, and the taste is just like how it looks like, the taste that you can easy imagine:( glad they have bread though.
Booked the reservation a month before, but in my opinion it is overrated. The oysters are okay, too. I’m not surprised or too pleasant by this restaurant this time. Maybe it was because i have high expectations before coming in.
The service is also not very high-end. One waitress dropped the plate. The host who answered my phone calls were a little impatient.
3 stars is for the risotto.
I wouldn’t say it’s a must visit restaurant when coming to Seattle.
