Reviews of Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar
Andrew Todtenkopf
The food was delicious. I thought the happy hour menu was too small, and the deals/discounts weren't that special. But the drinks and food were good, so I'm glad we tried it.

Everything we had here was excellent. Oysters were wonderful and so fresh. It was expensive with the tax and service charge but u should try it.

It was busy, but there were several seats available. It took a long time to be seated, and we weren't sure why the person who greeted us didn't seat us at the empty tables. Turns out they were her section. Food was delicious and fair priced. We especially liked the oysters, and thought it had a wide selection. Our server wasn't friendly, but other staff were. Overall the experience would have been 4* but there was a sneaky 18.9% service charge to a party of two that wasn't posted, as far as we could tell. I think it's unfair for staff and shady to not clearly post to customers before they dine. I would have preferred to pay higher prices than add on the service charge, which would result in a bigger tip for staff.

Came here while visiting Seattle for a few days. It was a Thursday evening, but it was only about half full. Dawn immediately greeted me and said to pick any table. She was extremely helpful in understanding the menu, giving recommendations, explaining the different oysters, and some insider tips. After hearing so many good recommendations, started off with the Chowder and Baguette while looking over the menu. Both came out within 5 minutes. As simple as both sound, they were both very good. The Chowder was full of thick pieces of the local Clams and vegetables. The broth had a very rich and creamy consistency.
For the meal, ordered the Shucker's Dozen as wanted to try a variety of their oysters. Also, ordered the Whole Dungeness Crab after Dawn gave a very thorough description from them cracking the shells in all the right places for you and using the body shell for their "OMG" sauce. When the oysters came out first, she explained the 4 different types of oysters and what to expect with each type. They're also presented in the recommended order of eating them for the best experience. All the oysters were extremely fresh and looked great. I tried them with their different house vinegar & lemon sauce, house cocktail, and fresh horseradish. They were all good, but I preferred the combination of horseradish and cocktail sauce.
The Dungeness crab came out and looked amazing. It was presented and plated perfectly, but also prepared just as described. Having it cracked in the right places made it so easy and more enjoyable to eat. Dawn also gave some additional tips on how to get the most crab with the least amount of mess. Large pieces of crab just slid out and tasted perfectly dipped in the sauce. Combining that with the baguette was a nice mix of tastes and textures. The sauce was good just dipping some bread in it and eating it like that.
Overall, all the seafood was very fresh and tasty. Dawn's service skills were outstanding. It wasn't just the service with the food, but little extra things such as bringing a warm towel to take a break and cleanup during the meal, and even offering a hot cup of water just to keep my hands warm. She truly believed in the restaurant and the customer experience.
Next time I'm in Seattle, will definitely come back.

The oysters here are SO GOOD. Our server, Dawn, was incredible. Very knowledgeable about the food and the farm–she walked us through each type of oyster, where it came from, the flavors, and the process of harvesting the oysters from Taylor Farm. Definitely get their signature Olympia! Incredible dining experience and food. A new fav.

My friends and I had a really lovely time here. The staff were friendly. The food was great - we had the fish & chips, baked oysters, and a geoduck chowder. Everything tasted delicious!
Joshoah Dahl
Happy hour is where it's at. Deals on oysters and appetizers. All the seafood is as fresh as could be. The drinks were cold and refined. Great service and chats with the staff. Try the chowder.
Susan Guth
Dawn (bartender) is awesome! She’s fun, makes great menu recommendations (see: how to best eat geoduck), and she’s a fantastic bartender! We’re definitely coming back.
Chase Esteves
This is a highlight of Seattle! The oysters were incredibly fresh and house made clam chowder was just the right consistency with perfectly diced vegetables and clams. I'll be back every time I visit Seattle.
Stella Wei
The oysters were so good. Also my first time trying geoduck. It was delicious!
Gina Neeler
Amazing service and great tasting food. If you mostly like fresh, raw, and/or chilled shellfish then this is the place to go. We had 2 dozen oysters, a couple oyster shooters with mezcal (smokey and delicious), and the Dungeness Crab. We didn't leave a single bite unfinished!
Marcel Wurms
Came in for dinner before a Yankee game (sorry Mariner fans) based on yelp reviews. Place was full with only a few high tops left. Took a while to get service because it was so busy.
I had the baked oysters and clam chowder. Oysters were delicious. Clam chowder was one of the best I've ever had. My wife had the steamed clams, which were good. They don't come with bread to sop up the sauce, so if you ask for bread, it's an up-charge.
Unlimited refills on soda was a nice touch though.
Wait staff was very pleasant and more attentive as they caught up with the crowd.
Prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a stop

Taylor shellfish is the restaurant attached to the Taylor shellfish farm, and the quality of seafood here is amazing. The space near pioneer square is classic Seattle, tree lined street with exposed brick and a big comfortable bar. The menu focuses on oysters, clams, and small bites. All fantastic. We had the geoduck sashimi and the shrimp cocktail. If you have not tried the geoduck in the Pacific Northwest this is the place to try it. Cut fresh to order and they give you two different parts of the geoduck that have different textures. The sauce and garnishes go really well with the crunchy salty geoduck. Decent wine selection, but the cocktail list is the star here. Try something different, too many to even review. Easy walk to either sports stadium, and if you get there before 4pm you can easily find parking and walk to the ballpark!
Ricky K
Very great service and very good oysters. The sun seeker was amazing. If you are there at happy hour, try to baked oyster.
Tony Dolan
Excellent fresh oysters, love the fresh radish too. Get the deviled eggs with the oysters on top, sounds strange but works well! Smoked oyster dip was awesome. Clams and brother go well with the baguette. Would come back for sure!
Robert D'Souza
Great food. Fresh. Clean. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Bourdain was right. You have to go here.
Jack Liu
Decent option for seafood, kinda pricey for what you get. Clam steamer is tasty. The fish in fish and chips is moist and flakey, however lacking in flavor, really needs the tartar sauce. The oyster plate has a good variety of oysters, but only the local one stands out. The geoduck chowder is delicious because it's a great chowder, can't really taste the geoduck.
Devin Mathias
Far and away the best oysters I’ve ever had. Great service too. Wow. Can’t wait to return to the PNW to visit again.
Cali Hawk
Omfg Shuckers choice dozen oysters were so diverse and creamy, Buffalo oysters deviled eggs were bomb af, service and knowledge was exceptional...even ordered fish n chips so i dont have to go anywhere else tonight
Caitlin Jane
Taylor Shellfish is the greatest dining experience you could have in Seattle. The cocktail selection thoroughly compliments the shellfish menu. The geoduck chowder will leave you rethinking your understanding of the phallic creature. Try to get there early if it’s a game night. 10/10 would recommend.
Srinivas Narne
We get the Oysters and Shrimp Po’boy almost every time we visit the place. Love the food and service.
Gim “GimmyPoo” Pooh
Came here for my prebirthday celebration. Boi! The server was amazing and she was very helpful with the recommendations. The foods were soooo yummmy and delicious. So worth it. You have to go check. 😉😉

Solid place for oysters, seafood, and drinks. Several locations around Seattle and caters to both locals and tourists alike. I found the oysters to be very fresh, and the fish and chips to be well made and not soggy or oily. Is this place popular? Yes. Is it well deserved? Yes to that as well.
Rebecca Kintzley
The service and knowledge of the staff on the food/oysters were impeccable. Kevin was great in helping us pair our cocktails with oysters. He was a great listener and made us feel welcomed. The Kumamoto oysters are my favorite in Asia, and these were even better—right from the bay in WA. Super fresh, sweet, petite, and succulent. They do charge $1 for cocktail sauce and horseradish but it’s a must with raw oysters. The horseradish is fresh. It is not the typical diced or purée but freshly grated. We tried another type of oyster which was pretty good too—I think north bay? They were slightly larger than the Kumamoto’s. The clam chowder is a must. It isn’t as thick as most clam chowders but it was spot on with taste and clam bits. The prawns (cocktail) were large with the shell on but easy to peel. I though the temperature was good but tasted a little tough than I’m used to. Everything was great so we decided to try the crab meat on a brioche with fries and my partner ordered fish and chips. As he is from England, he ended up not eating the fish pollock due to the batter being soaked in oil. They also did not have the traditional malt vinegar which you dip the fish in. The fries were very brown and limp...a little too much oil in my fries too. Almost like the oil was burnt. The crab meat salad was very very good. It tasted healthy and light; it wasn’t filled with mayonnaise but very nice fresh meaty crab. I didn’t eat much of the brioche as I didn’t want to fill up on starch but it was tasty as well.
You can also watch them shuck the oysters at the bar if that interest you. Highly recommend going at happy hour. Will definitely come again. They also automatically add ~18% service charge to the bill. No dessert menu.
Kaitlin Kramer
Stopped for a quick drink and oyster after exploring the city. Joel was great helper and delicious cava and oysters. The chargrilled were amazing!
Victoria Wagner
The food was delicious and service was excellent. We came here on a football game night and it was surprisingly mellow. The menu is extremely limited but its focus allowed everything to be prepared to perfection and shine. We ordered a dozen oysters, Caesar salad, fish & chips, the white wine + shallot steamed clams, and a bottle of cava which was all delicious.
Only reason for taking one star off was bc all the menus posted show oyster prices as =<$3 but in fact they are $3+. Now I see that those menus are 2+ old, so yes- inflation, BUT I would argue that a chain establishment of this stature has no excuse for not having their current menu w updated pricing as the first result in Google maps/reviews. Anywho, would 100% still recommend as a solid spot for delicious shellfish and excellent wine to accompany with an updated vibe and attentive + friendly service.
Vivian Cao
The oysters were so fresh! We had the shuckers dozen and it was so cool trying the different varieties. If you get Dawn as your server , your time here at Taylor’s would be 10x more enjoyable. Overall great time and great food!
Michael Harper
Second time here as the first time we only had time for a beer before a Mariners game. The oysters were really fantastic this time and the service (we sat at the bar) was great and the bartender was friendly. Will definitely be back!
Ritesh Sharan
What a fantastic place to have Oysters. The oysters just melt in your mouth. Tried the large oyster plate which had oysters from different regions of the US. Also had crabs with an amazing sauce served in the crab shell. Fantastic place and will be back for more.
YZ Pham
The happy hour menu is small and the discount is not worth looking at, the server really tried hard to discourage us from ordering from it. The main menu is pretty lame as well. We didn’t appreciate the automatic 18% gratuity added for 2 people either.
Elio Galo
Being back In Seattle and had to stop by to get some oysters! The happy hour is chef's kiss and can't beat a discounted beer. Staff was great and welcoming.
Avery Hotaling
If you're an oyster enthusiast, this is the place you want to be. Friendly, knowledgeable staff complete the wonderful atmosphere. Definitely come during happy hour. $3.5/oyster regular versus $2.25/oyster. Can't miss it!
Michele McWilliams
My 2 nieces and I went out for dinner at Taylor's our waiter was Paul and the food, the service and atmosphere was awesome!! I read the reviews prior to going and they were terrific so had to see for myself. Taylor's on Occidental Way is the place!!!
Greg McEntyre
Great place to settle in for good food and drink. Restaurant is only a small portion of their business, they ship shellfish all over the world, so their selection and quality is top notch.
Keith The Transformer
I really enjoyed eating here. It’s nothing like having some fresh oysters from different places in Puget Sound. Quality control is very high.
Alexander Taffe
Amazing sea food! 🔥 I don’t like oysters or, I didn’t like oysters until I tried them again here. The service is really good too! It was an hour from closing and they made us feel very welcomed! …
Alex Rollin
The Oysters were succulent, the cider was dry, and the atmosphere is chill in all the right ways. This is now officially my after work happy hour spot!
Andrea
If you love oysters, come here, we got 6 different types and they are all quite fresh, and you can have them fried as well. The geoduck with salmon roe is quite special, they give you the belly part and the edge parts, quite well flavored, but it's very little for $18. I also recommend the mussels with butter shallot sauce. However, do not get the Dungeness crab, it's way over priced despite it is fresh, and the crab roe mayo sauce has way too much mayo in it, there's basically no crab roe flavor.
Max Soi
Taylor Shellfish owns the farm where they produce these delicious bivalves so of course they have some of the finest oysters and shellfish around. The menu is mostly limited to shellfish. Drinks were pretty good. Service was friendly. I usually get a variety dozen of fresh oysters, the shellfish stew, and some broiled oysters with bread. It gets too busy during games though.
M. L.
I really love that this company has added more locations, I usually go out to the farm but it is nice to be able to enjoy all my favorite oysters and seafood so close to the city.
Justin Anderson
Taylor shellfish is the oyster capital of the west coast and America. They are the kings of producing high quality oysters. This restaurant is the place to go for experiencing their product. Albeit expensive, but good. All you need here is raw shellfish and good wine or craft beer. Add on some fresh crusty bread and a cooked plate, and you have a solid happy hour or mid afternoon meal. Take a chance to speak to your oyster shucker or bartender. They’re all very knowledgeable about their craft and can teach you a thing or two about the food you’re eating.

Finally getting out and about after the snow, we were again in search of a Po Boy!
We checked the area and found Taylor Shellfish and Oyster Bar and on the menu there were two Po Boy options, oyster and fried prawns.....I'm in!
We walked in and were immediately greeted by an upbeat staff and although it was a lazy Sunday, there was a good vibe flowing through the place.
We were immediately offered seating in the dining area or the bar and we chose the bar because that's usually where you find the pulse.
Before we were fully seated we were greeted by Becky, who was working the bar and the whole joint! Becky's energy, enthusiasm, attention to detail and knowledge of the oyster world were simply fantastic! Becky took the time to explain and educate those who were interested about the oysters they were consuming and while doing this, still provided top notch service.
The crew that was with her also held their own when it came to service.....as a patron I never felt like I was bothering them. It seemed as though they were excited to answer any question or execute any request I might have! I overheard one of the servers refer to the raw oysters he was serving as "my oysters." This symbolized to me the pride the servers have in their product....can't beat that!
The service at this location was impeccable!
The food matched the service as it was obviously very fresh and exploding with flavors! The fried prawn Po Boy had perfectly seasoned prawns in every bite along with lettuce, tomato and a thinly sliced pickle that added more flavor.
The fried oyster Po Boy was equally as good, having the oysters deep fried to perfection leaving it crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside!
The seafood soup and spicy steamed clams were also chart toppers!
I was disappointed that they were all out of clam chowder, but that doesn't change my opinion.
This place rocks! I will definitely return to this location.
This is a definite go to!!
J L
Fresh oysters!! My fav dish was the fried oysters. So yummy!! I love the decoration of the restaurant, very cozy and friendly. Great place for friends gathering!
Marcus Bachelder
Great food we went back 2 nights in a row its so good
Nathan Wasner
Best fish 'n chips I've had. Our waitress was super nice and gave us great service despite how busy they were. A word of caution: the "ginger" slaw has a strong wasabi flavor, so be careful if you don't go for that sort of spicy. The Red Ale was good too. Will return!
Miranda Romero
I normally don't write reviews but I had to take the time to share my experience at this location. The workers are incredibly helpful and kind. As a small family from Arizona we felt a bit out of our element but the workers at Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar made us feel welcomed and appreciated. They catered to our every request with a smile and showed immense amounts of patience throughout our delectable dinner. A specific thank you to Josh, our waiter, for an experience we won't ever forget. Please know your kindness and helpfulness is incredibly appreciated. You are one of a kind!
Highly recommend this restaurant! High quality food and high quality service.
apoorv bhatia
Its a nice seafood place, a little expensive though. But food is fresh. Oysters and mussels were the highlight.
Mia Rodriguez
Expect amazing seafood. We tried a variety of oysters, the dungeon crab, and the shrimp cocktail. Everything was amazing including the service! From the manager to the entire staff. We sat at the bar and chatted with 3 different guys who shucked our oysters, prepped our crab and shrimp, and chatted with our waitress. All very informative and friendly. Will return!
Kevin Casasola
If you are at pikes place the aquarium inspired you to eat some seafood, take a beat and head over to pioneer square for some fresh oyesters. It's a 20 minute walk from pikes, or a 10 minute lime bike or scooter. Tucked away in pioneer square, this shellfish bar is a hit for fresh seafood. The ambience is serving cute bar on a Saturday. I spent a solo trip their and couldn't finish the whole shuckers dozen, where they handchoose a set of oyesters for you to try.
I asked the bartender to cut the dozen in half and paid around $25 including tax, tip, and gratuity. The oyesters varied in terms of sweetness, savoriness, and saltiness. I'm no oyester connoisseur so I can't distinguish the difference between the oyesters, but I was satisfied in looking for a somewhat affordable oyester experience.
Everything is fresh and served fast. I was in and out of the oyester bar within 30 minutes. It's a great place to take a beat off the pikes place, and you can walk back to exercise off all the great food here. Definitely ask for their specials. It's a great place for a 1-person snack or to take a date or a group of people.
Louie Amurao
Low key shellfish bar with delicious oysters and super friendly staff!
Nicole Keicher
Great food, great drinks, and an absolutely great staff! My server was very attentive from the beginning until we left. We we're there over 3 hours. Tried geoduck for the first time. Got a lesson on how they grow and watched them get prepared and plated. I will return with more friends to polish off another few dozen oysters!
Stanley L
Fresh and cheap oysters!
There are happy hours 3-5pm on weekdays.
Fresh Oysters are only $2 and huge! It tastes fresh and awesome.
The baked oysters are $5 for 2 oysters. Not as recommend but still great.
A recommended oyster bar!
Heather Dubois
Dawn was the best! Fantastic food, delicious drinks, and wonderful team working there. Highly recommend!
Lucky Blackwell
Good food and service but I went by the old menus on their Google maps Post it was much more expensive...
The Bartender said that the Bloody Mary's were about $7.00 + Tax and they were $9.00 + Tax on Happy Hour and I was eating Oysters and they turned out to be $27.00.
Clam chowder was very good but they didn't offer any Crackers or bread, It was $10.00
Then I was eating solo and I was charged 18 percent gratuity.
Christie Lee
We came specifically for the oysters. First off the area (pioneer square) isn't the greatest at night. I can see why most places close at 8. We ordered the Sunokomo oysters, geoduck sashimi and geoduck chowder. We also got Cesar salad, fried oysters, and steam mussels and clams. My favorite was the geoduck chowder and raw oysters. I found the mussels and clams great but the bRoth in the salty side. Would come back, but wish there were later dining options.
Walter Miranda
1) the oysters are super delicious 2) the tequila oysters with roasted corn and cheese are super tasteful 3) the mezcal margarita full of flavor and most importantly 4) the staff was nothing short of miraculous (we had Tina, she works hard and makes it happen).
Tiberiu Hrihorciuc
Very good dozen oysters and decent beer
If the bread was fresh I would have given this place 5 stars
Topher Cavanaugh
Staff are friendly, and the spot is unique. We got the dungeness crab, which was amazing, as well as some geoduck sashimi and drinks. Highly recommend this spot.
June Yon
Super delicious. We had the spread of oysters, each had their own unique flavor. Make sure to put the sauce and lemon on them.
Caleb
Nice shellfish. Pushy and or grumpy staff. Probably a nice place to dine in, but the table waiter isn’t a good person to talk to if you’re dining out.
Joseph DiRenzo
This! Place! Was! INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
The shuckers dozen was sooooooooo good! T’was a gem!
The Geoduck chowder was to die for! We got 2…. Paired nicely with the baguette!
Also, the steamed mussels are phenomenal! Also with the baguette!
John Deodato
Stopped in here before a Mariner game to avoid the stadium food. The raw oysters and the fried oysters were both really good, and the bartender pours a healthy drink. Service was good, considering how busy they were. Just fell a wee bit short of five stars, but will definitely return.
J. Oles
I got the shuckers dozen. Oysters are out of season but these were great anyway. We sat at the bar and watched the team work. The shuckers were very particular about what they would serve. I must have watched them dump 1 out of every 3 as sub par. Yeah you pay a little more than some other places but the quality was great. Will have to bring guests here and will definitely come back.
Josiah Clagett
Oysters on ice, steamed clams and mussels, fries with cheese and garlic aioli... this was an unforgettable meal. Shellfish so good I can’t wait to go back.
Kimberly Person
This is our favorite place to go to satiate an oyster craving. Of course, the clams with wine and butter and bread are inescapable once you're there. We love Taylor Shellfish so much we had them live shucking at our wedding. Shout out to our girl, Ahi!
As wedding and event photographers, it's always a hit at an event and we had an equally great time with Drew as she did her thing at a client's wedding and again at an industry party. Taking time to explain the whole process of "tide to table" to curious patrons.
Highly recommend the restaurant, the quality, the experience, and the great employees!
teresa Fernandes
The food is amazing. fresh and delicious. Was visiting Seattle for 3 days and 3 days in a row came to this place. And the team is so friendly. So worth it.😉😉
Tobias D
These were without a doubt the beat oysters I have ever had. Also had a bowl of seafood soup and it was very tasty. Very friendly service. I know this is petty but they did charge an extra dollar for horse radish but at least it was freshly grated.
Isabelle Williams
The sea food was super good, however the fries were way too salty. To the point they were kinda inedible!
Katherine Franklin
Great pre-game before a Sounders game. Oysters were fresh and cold. Mussels perfectly cooked and flavorful.
Darnell Kebo
1/12/19: Stopped in for a late snack. Ordered a shuckers dozen, sea urchin (uni), and geoduck. It paired nicely with a French Sauvignon Blanc.
Everything fresh and prepared to order. Service fun, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Eli Komenski
Twenty Dozzen Oysters later. Yes, we ordered 20 dozzen. Staff handled our large group without a problem.
lellieu
Awesome happy hour with delicious oysters, mussels and geoduck
Lindsay Coulter
Had a great experience here. Our server Dawn was amazing. First time trying geoduck sashimi, and wasn't disappointed. Will be back!
Christina Szirmai
Great service with excellent food. The mussels are not to be missed. No one in our group walked out without a happy tummy.
Nick Reagan
Staff made for really great experience, especially on a Sunday! Tasty oysters, fries, smoked oyster spread. Caught the game too. :0) ordered a second round of oysters. Yum.
christiana hanes
Their mussle dish is so good, so is the po' boy and oysters. They offer different kinds of oysters and they are all so wonderful. I got a champagne sherbet that taste just like drinking champagne and it was delicious. I go to this place often, even though it's on the expensive side. But what else would you expect.
Herb Aton
Heading back to Charleston, SC from a trip to Craig, AK, we stopped in for a bite. What a great spot with really fantastic seafood and a wait staff that was over the top.
Our server Alex was extremely attentive. Jessica served the a selection of Oysters and knew everything to know about the those succulent Bi-Valves. The Shucker, Ian, did the real deal on the Dungies and our Bartendress, Dawn stirred up some serious libations that put everything in good perspective. Check the place out. You won't be disappointed.
Jered Perez
Even on the day of The MLS Final, the staff is stellar, the food amazing, and the drinks sublime. Oyster Po Boy, a few shigokus on the side, and a bright mezcal cocktail were across the board wonderful. The cole slaw has... PICKLED GINGER!! Dig it!
Meijun Cai
Solid seafood option. Oysters were great. Clams and mussels were delish too.
nellynosibor1998
We always love the oyster here
Andrea Higgins
Very good and very fresh. Our oysters were shucked right before they came to our table. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The prices are expensive but worth it for farm to table.
Daniel Hammett
One of my favorites in all of Pioneer Square. Great atmosphere, impeccable service, and easy dinning for some of the greatest seafood. Would give 6 stars if I could.
Chris Schnee
Awesome experience. I worked there in the recent past for several years and loved it. And it is safe to say this overdue visit was great. As always great community style heartfelt atmosphere, communication is by no means an issue with the very personable employees. From server to cook, shuckers, bartender, dish maintenance, and manager. A joy! ;)
Aaron
On point! The freshest oysters bar none. I like the daily menu. Be sure to try the Olympia oysters if they are available. Bar tender Michael does a nice job too.
Larry Custodio
Fresh & well seasoned seafood coupled with a wide selection of local brews. Coupled with great and friendly service, would highly recommend!
Jen X
The oysters are always fresh and amazing. My favorite are the Kumamotos. The raw scallops are also sublime. The drinks are strong, and they have the best fries and tartar sauce around!!
Claya Chu
Always a pleasure visit this Taylor shellfish. Oysters are the best!
Garrett N.
Had a perfect experience with ordering online, curbside pickup, and shucking our oysters at home! Taylor shellfish provided a bag of ice and some of their classic mignonette with the oysters and everything was fresh and delicious. 🦪🦪🦪 …
Elizabeth Schuster
The oyster vatiety was fun to try. There was absolutely a difference when comparing taste to different oysters. The real winner was the clam chowder. It was better than dukes.
Phillip Ardoin
Amazing oysters. Wow. We were in Seattle for 4 nights and after eating there on Friday decided to return Sunday.
Lisa Porter (Parsley & Parm)
We had a great time here last night! We popped in for a meal before a 9 pm concert, and just really loved the staff and the food. Our server/bartender was kind enough to let us hang around until 8:30 so we had a place to sit until the concert, and even made me a custom cocktail that somehow combined pomegranate, peppermint, lavender and cardamom into something super yummy and wonderful. We especially loved the deviled eggs, and I devoured my cioppino (the $30+ a bowl price is a little questionable, but I paid it happily last night and it really hit the spot). Thanks for a lovely start to our evening!
Kendyl
First time having west coast oysters and Taylor shellfish bar didn't disappoint. Great cocktails, awesome oysters. Really knowledgeable staff who could tell us all about the different types and the farming it took to get them to us. Would definitely recommend.
Andrew Karetas
Super friendly staff. Amazing oysters. Definitely will go back
Carole Sharber
I don't know where to start. This place was amazing. It's the 1st place we hit after we got off the plane and got our rental car. Not sure how we found it, but it was a great find. Oysters, stuff with cavier, all the things! Guey duck! It was all soooooo good. I can't even remember all of it. I just know that it was all delicious!
Virna Fratt
We stopped on our way to the airport on our last day in Seattle. Amazing food and awesome atmosphere! Next time we visit Seattle we will be going back!!
Charlene Brown
Great location. Yummy oysters. Try the deviled eggs. Spencer was our server and he was fantastic!
Freaky Norm
We stopped at this place for a early snack before dinner and it was a great experience.
We had some kumamoto oysters, buffalo deviled eggs, and smoked oyster dip. Everything was super tasty. The oysters were extremely fresh. The deviled eggs were an odd combo topped with a buffalo sauce fried oyster, but the combo works perfectly. The smoked oyster dip was very flavorful and rich. Not too smoky and not too spicy.
The wait staff was awesome, especially Dawn. Sassy, funny and beautiful is a great combo in my opinion.
The only downside to the place is they did not have air conditioning. So if you're heading there and are dressed up a bit, it can be a tad too warm. Other than that, I would highly recommend stopping by. All of the food plates going by our table looked amazing as did the cocktails.
Evan Carey
Great location and seafood. The prices were responsible and selection was decent. The seafood will rotate with the seasons.
Paul S
Hands down best oysters in the world! I took my wife in and she is not a raw oyster fan and she loved them! No joke...best oysters in the world!
Kelly Kay
Pretty good happy hour specials, absolutely delicious chowder and very friendly staff.
Mel Mendiola
Sweet live prawns, Dungeness crabs, oysters, very friendly waiter.
Elyssa Looney
This place was amazing! Our family got muscles in spicy sauce, my dish dairy free. Clams and fish and chips. It was all very well done. They also got a Cesar salad and crab Mac n cheese, which was also super amazing, so the family says. The service, cost, atmosphere and bathroom facilities were great! I would totally come back here again and would recommend this place to others.
TCPUDPATM PORTS
The food was great, even if a tad bit expensive. Can definitely recommend it.
Ethan Meyer
First time eating oysters and the staff was really knowledgeable in helping me pick which to try first and how to eat them. Good experience and worth going back.
Michael Paul
Had a wonderful dinner including oysters, great tasting and presented well, great waitstaff.
Brian Dougherty
Absolutely epic chowder! The raw bar isn't far behind that. Service was great!
Small digs, but don't let that scare you off.
Andres Leon
The food was amazing 🦀 a few great options really quick after you order, the staff is really nice and kind.
Yao Shi
Highly recommend this bar. The oysters are so fresh and tasty. They have different kinds of oysters for you to try and you do taste the differences between them. A very nice try there.
Marie Perry
Mu husband and I always love to come to Taylor! The staff is amazing, the food is always spectacular, and we leave is a great mood! No better place to go!
Cookie Jarmon
If you’re looking for great quality and service Taylor’s is the place for you. Every bite was delicious and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants good seafood!
James Lin
Mother shucking good! Sumo kumos are the most delicious oysters in America!!
Matthew Wei
Geoduck sashimi is on point.
Great dungeness crab. Get it. Always get it
Tiffany Stuart
First time in Seattle and my husband wanted to try oysters!
The atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable, great drinks and food.
Friendly staff and great service. Our waiter was well versed in the food and the city.
Gary Bondoc
Visiting from Nor cal. Oysters, geoduck, lox, server, chef were all awesome. Loved everything about the place. Will come back when in town.
Caly Czarnecki
Wow this place was amazing!!!! Incredible service and the oysters were SO delicious!!! Highly recommend!!
George A Lopez
Oysters were fresh. Service was good. I sat at the bar. Atmosphere was cool and low key.
Arnon Cahen
Best mussels I have ever had!! Seriously, if you like mussels that's what you need to get here as an appetizer. The rest of the food was also awesome and the ambiance and waiters were all excellent and fun, but those mussels will not be soon forgotten 😁
Barbara Dufek
Ask our server for beer recommendations on beers after telling her what I usually enjoy. She recommended a great beer. Also gave recommendations on oysters that was spot on. She truly knew her stuff. Shout out to Erica C! Great place. Highly recommend
Kat Sam
Fresh amazing oysters, friendly staff, simple no nonsense menu, and a full bar! What's not to love?
Harry Lee
Oysters were on point, super fresh, great mignonette and very tasty. Definite 5/5. The Geoduck sashimi was great too, kind of reminded me of raw abalone but just a little less crunchy. Also had the clams which were good. Skip the crab, that was super disappointing. The crab was so tiny that there was hardly any meat. I kept on wondering if the thing was even legal to harvest since it was so small. I guess if you've never had crab in your life and didn't know what to expect it would be alright but if you're a crab lover don't get it for sure.
If I were to come back I'd double up on the oysters and skip the crab.
TallPole
Great friendly staff but oysters were nothing special
Julio Lamar
Great experience!! First time having oysters and I loved it
Christopher Abbott
Came here just for oysters and I was not disappointed. I got an assorted dozen and they were clean, fresh and they serve you real horseradish shaved from the root. They don't give you cocktail sauce or offer you hot sauce. You have to pay extra from the horseradish but it's alright because everything is really good. They give you some vinegar and lemons with as it turns out is more that enough. Had a good time here and can't wait to be back in Seattle.
Dale Steinke
One of the top oyster bars in Seattle and definitely the best one to hit before a Seattle Sounders game. Had an amazing oyster po boy too.
Andrew Baker
The oyster were alright. Kinda sandy and I didn't really taste a difference between their selection of oysters. But they were fresh, I'll give them that. The drinks were pretty good (although pricier)
Jon Zack
Fresh fresh seafood especially oysters. The fried oysters are one of the best I ever had I highly recommend them. They are lightly fried with just a hint of coating which allows the fresh oyster taste to stand out yum. Their cocktails are very good as well. Only issue was no need wine provided yet their beer made up for that. Very attentive staff. Great place
Jennifer
This place is phenomenal. You can tell they really care about the oysters they serve and are passionate about seafood! Their wine selection is also great and all the food was excellent. Very kind and fun staff also. The interior is also awesome with exposed brick and hardwood floors.
yujiman9990
Absolutely fantastic! We ordered the oyster sampler and every single one was 100% delicious. Highly recommend this place. I will visit again in the future. Well worth the 1 hour drive and prices.
Matt Osmoe
Excellent oysters, good variety, friendly staff.
Ryan R
Great dishes, great service. The buffalo soldiers are an interesting dish. Tons of local oysters.
Paul Schulze
First of all, excellent service, Joel was fantastic.
Pricey, but it’s seafood, what do you expect
I’m not a big oyster fan, but my mom is and she claims they’re fantastic, we got the shucker’s dozen and it was cool to try different varieties. If you’re trying raw oysters for the first time like I am, the crab Mac & cheese was nice to have as a comfort food.
We also tried geoduck. It sure is sashimi. Kinda fun texture, but ymmv
They also know how to make a Shirley temple, which is good :)
Joel St John
Seriously great place! Food was incredible, I highly suggest the crab roll, staff was even more amazing! Even though it was busy, the servers were still attentive and extremely knowledgeable! Will definitely be going back!
Missy Cates
Happy hour was a great time! We ordered 3 bowls of mussels, and it was very good. One mussel entree was undercooked so the wine was so strong you could get drunk! But Dawn our server was so amazing that we didnt care! Thank you Dawn!
Alison
3.5 Love the space - much more ambiance than the Cap Hill location. Staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The menu is limited but they have a great selection of PNW oysters. My biggest issue is it's freaking expensive. And they OWN THE OYSTER FARM!! They sell oysters for the same price (or more) as other restaurants who are likely their customers! Shouldn't they pass along some savings?! A dozen oysters and 2 glasses of bubbles were $90 (a service charge is automatically added & we left a small tip). Maybe they overcharged us or maybe the bubbles were way more than I thought they were. We dined elsewhere after and it was a little less for an appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert, 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers.
Andy Au
Happy Hour
Oysters $2.25 instead of $3 each
jose bueno
The fresh oysters were awesome. The deviled eggs with fried oysters were the fams favorite. The service was exceptional made us feel right at home. Definitely coming back on our next trip.
Gala Desonne
It's ok, nothing special, overpriced. Paid $90 for 2 appetizers, beer and bloody mary.
Alina M.
Great happy hour deals here on oysters and drinks, highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area during that time! It's right by the train station so we were able to quickly have some oysters before our train to Portland. It wasn't too busy so you can get your order right away and be out in time to catch a train. This spot was recommended to us by a local so that's when you know it has to be good.
Robyn Porras
Food was delicious and our server was fantastic! Gave us great recommendations and was a ray of sunshine. Oysters were tasty and the geoduck chowder was delightful.
Lisel Ayers
Best oysters I have had in a long while. Staff is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, it was a pleasure dining there.
Igby Montag
Happy hour. Had great items and good oysters
Cherie Joy
The food, ambiance and service was incredible. A very memorable meal here. The crab was fresh and the recipe well crafted. No wait in the afternoon for a table. Great beer selection and amazing sides. Will certainly be back again, as soon as possible!
randal cobb
Personally, this is the best, freshest, and tastiest seafood I've had in Seattle! The oysters are the freshest I've ever had, aside from harvesting them by hand myself. The geoduck sashimi is absolutely fantastic and worth the trip in and of itself. I will be spending lots of happy hours here consuming and having a taste of their various wines (although, they don't have any reds, they do a fantastic job of pairing whites, rose, and sparkling wines to compliment their super fresh seafood!). I would rate it higher than 5 stars, if I could.
Nancy Clarke
Great cocktails, fantastic oysters and Caesar salad!
Olivia Leung
Amazing seafood. Great service. Totally will return and recommend to friends/family
TJ Rosenberg
If you give this place less than a 5, you need to work out your issues. It's the perfect restaurant, don't be an idiot.
Smittyz Smittyz
That Champagne vinegar dipping sauce is to die for!!! Must stop when in Seattle
Vanessa Ostler
So delicious! The oysters are always super fresh! I could eat the oyster topped deviled eggs every day! And the manager makes a killer old fashion!
Jonathan Beauford
Oyster and crab were incredibly fresh and delicious. Had the raw scallops which were...different...but amazing. Buffalo oysters on deviled eggs were tasty but a little heavy. Next time will stick to the fresh/raw stuff! Not a fancy place but a comfortable atmosphere and had TV's with sports on.
Trina Miller
We found this while walking downtown and tried it without any expectations. We had great food and drinks and a fun evening. We tried the broiled oysters, steamed mussels with arugula almond pesto and the smoked oyster dip. The steamed mussels were our favourite, but everything was great. We would definitely go back.
Micheil Stewart
Some of the best Oysters I have ever had in the PNW and the caviar couldn’t pair better with the two I had on them. Mary G was one of the best waitresses I’ve had. She was super knowledgeable about the oysters, super friendly, and she absolutely loves her customers.
Jessica B
High quality, delicious food! Best oysters around. Great drinks! AMAZING, fun, attentive staff! We had a great afternoon hanging with Dawn at the bar top. She took great care of us. Thank you!!!
Jared Uraine
Every time we visit Seattle, we look forward to the wide options of oysters. We asked our bike cabi where we need to be or to be seen and where we can get some great oysters. He dropped us off here and told us that nothing is Frozen everything is Absolutely Fresh here. He said it was worth the visit and he was absolutely correct. Absolutely delicious fresh oysters. Highly recommend.
Su Neato
Excellent food, service, and a fun atmosphere. Oysters are always good but all food and drinks are wonderful. Service is perfect.
Harlan Smith
The selection of oysters was fantastic! Thanks to our server for making it an event and evening we won't forget. Nice bar with a comfortable, friendly ambiance.
Kay Tomlinson
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our waiter knew the history and farming technique for every type of oyster on the menu. She even knew what each oyster ate which was very cool for this tourist! Food was also spot on. My favorite was the Olympia oyster but we also enjoyed trying all of the other oysters, fried house oysters, salmon and locks, and their fries.
John Ozcan
We just had dinner here, and i can't express how amazing this place was. They spaced their tables appropriately, so they are only serving 4-5 tables at a time. Dawn was our server, and she was absolutely amazing. Food was amazing. Glad we tried this place out!
Christina Hoffpauir
While on a work trip to Seattle for three weeks, coworkers and I were trying to find somewhere to eat raw oysters. After trying Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar, we went back 3 times during our stay. They had a great selection of oysters and we tried just about every meal on the menu. Everything was FANTASTIC. The waitress knew exactly what she was talking about when it came to describing the oysters and the menu. I was very impressed with the service, food, and the environment. Can't wait to go back to Seattle to eat there again!
Lynn Romero
We came in late just before closing. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Of course we had the shucker's dozen and the prawn cocktail. Both were so fresh and delicious. Our favorite oyster bar.
Alicia Watson
Spent the week in Seattle for a work trip and this was the BEST food I had all week. Our server was amazing, and I loved hearing all about how the same species of oyster could he raised to produce different flavor profiles. The Dungeness crab was one of the top 10 things I’ve ever eaten in my life. 10/10 if you’re looking for a taste of Seattle this is a great bet.
Micah Armijo
Simply outstanding! Soooo fresh and perfectly delicious! Had variety of oysters, bowl of chowder, deviled eggs. Unbelievable tasting and service was impeccable! A must stop for quality seafood lovers!
Brandon Parsons
This has been one of the best dinning experience I have had in years!!! I cannot speak more highly of the food and service. Dawn and her team care deeply about their product and the customer experience. Despite only ordering a few oysters I was treated like a king. Five stars! Wish I could give more.
Joey Schooley
Always a good experience. Great happy hour. Delicious oysters-- it's all about the mignonette and condiments for the oysters. If a restaurant doesn't offer these or just offers horse radish alone or God forbid cocktail sauce, I'm OUT. Taylor Shellfish never disappoints.
Tarruthai Thamvongsin
One of the best oyster bar in Seattle.
They have over 10+ species of oyster to try, plus other kinds of shellfish. Super good we ordered 2 rounds so we can try them all 😊 The elephant trunk shellfish also gooooood 🥂

Very cozy and good place for oysters next to stadium. Never disappoint at any Taylor Shellfish Oyster bar. Staff is friendly and nice.
Michelle Natale
Service was great! It's all about the Oysters. Joel was a very attentive server. Fun place to go for pre- or post-game light dining.
Morice Martinez
Try their oyster dozen. You can taste all the different flavor profiles and see the different sizes as well. Everything is consistently fresh and the wait staff is pleasant and very knowledgeable about their menu. Only downside is the hours but it’s worth it if you can make it in, especially on their happy hour.
Linda Flake
Seek this restaurant out!! It was fabulous 🤩
Presentation portions are perfect. Tried nine menu items decatant. Staff very thoughtful and efficient. Follow with Van Gogh experience
Mike Recinto
The setting is what I love in the Pioneer Square location. It's a small brick interior with long booths on the wall and one large booth in the back. There is a small bar area on the right and a standing area in front. I've always had great oysters here and the service is great. The wait staff is friendly and ours recommended the wine and beer with perfect descriptions. The Oyster stew is my favorite. It's a creamy celery broth with tender cooked oysters in it. The beet and wedge salads were fantastic. I want to check out the other locations.
Jordan Calderon
Oysters were so fresh and the staff was incredibly friendly.
Roman Brent
Wow!! Yeeeeesss! We Loved it. In & out & on our way top The Game. We always eat up North at The actual Farm & here in Seattle we were just as satisfied. Thank you & GOD BLESS YOU
Denny deBruyn
Highly recommend the crab dinner. The Dungeness Crab and Oysters were excellent. Get a bottle of wine to pair with dinner. Great date night spot. Excellent service and recommendations by the wait staff.
Isa Pagani
Freshest oysters I've ever had. They were delicious.
I split the sampler platter, so my boyfriend and I got to try one of each. It was delicious!
Definitely worth checking out if you want to try raw oysters for the first time. You can't get any fresher - they are picked out of a saltwater tanked and shucked right on site.
Stephanie Morge
Food was pretty good, but service could be better
Taylor Armstrong
Had the most amazing evening with some of the most amazing staff and dungeness crab and oysters. 10/10 would recommend!
François Surcin
Oysters are outstanding. I put 4 stars as the food is expensive ($18 3oz salmon toast) and $20 for about 3oz Tuna tartar. At that price, it may be fair to expect a more satisfying portion... The chowder was to fall for. Automatic gratuity at 18.9%
Nathan Christopher
Variety of Fresh oysters that taste spectacular!
Mark B.
Taylor's has, perhaps, the best oysters in Seattle. Always fresh, always amazing! Prices are good too considering the quality. Aside from the oysters there are many other wonderful dishes. Expect to wait for a table unless you can find a spot at the bar (especially on game days), but the wait is worth it.
nik s
Taylor shellfish is amazing in its own right. I've been to the Samish Bay farm many times however never to there restaurant. This was the best shellfish meal I've ever had and one of the best overall meals I've had. The oysters are unbeatable no question. I don't like oysters but I would've eaten a dozen myself...I had 6. The chowder was unbelievable and they also have geoduck which came in third for me but was still excellent. I highly recommend this if you want to truly experience NW shellfish.
Stephen Gillie
Amazing raw oysters! Delicious appetizers and you sandwiches. Excellent service in a classy venue with great ambiance. Friends said the drinks were wonderful. Say hi to Tyrone if you can.
Henry Darnell
We visited Taylor Shellfish as out-of-towners that don't eat shellfish, and our waiter was really friendly and explained the different flavor profiles between raw oysters sourced in different areas, and then cooked clams vs mussels. Very friendly and the food was delicious, we had a great variety dozen of oysters and they were really tasty.
Anelita Torres
Friendly service. Arrived right before happy hour. Had their prawn cocktail at $11 for 4 average size shrimp was a little overpriced. Also tried their Ceasar salad, which was great along w a cocktail.
Howard Sewell
Lively atmosphere and expertly shucked oysters on the perimeter of Pioneer Square. Just don't expect much in the way of a dinner menu - this is more a place for beer, wine, and shellfish. But service is attentive and if you're not super hungry this is a great place to chill before or after the game.
Bailey Keeler
Good oysters, but beware, happy hour only covers one oyster type and that information isn’t on the menu. We also got charged for something we didn’t order. Server offered us (4 of us) we could ‘split a beer’ as a condolence...
Barb Wild
Well we went a little crazy with a dozen raw and a bottle of Krug followed up with a charcuterie board. The service rocked it and we enjoyed ourselves as we worked out way through the oysters and champagne. I love this energy. We sat at the bar and just enjoyed the late afternoon vibe. Was it worth $400US...I though so. Tax and tip are included on the bill. Nice.
Kylie Neale
Super good!!! They were so busy when we went, and you'd think they had never been busy before with how stressed everyone was. Since this was the case, the expectations were low, but it was so good!!
Fast service, good atmosphere, attentive server. 100% would have again. Daaaaaaank oysters.
R. Moore
We didn't have a full meal, but I felt compelled to write a review because there were many tips that said there was bad service. This was not at all what we experienced.
We came here on a cold Wednesday night and were immediately met with the fragrance of oyster hanging in the air. Delicious. It was pretty empty when we walked in and were seated immediately.
I had a 4 dollar happy hour beer. Then we proceeded to order the oyster dip, amd half dozen oysters. Both were great! Then we began to slowly look over the menu for our next victim. We were not in any rush. The waitress returned time and time again to ask us if we needed anything. She was very polite and courteous. Eventually we decided to get the red oyster muscle combo which was awesome. The spicy miso paired well with the ginger in the sauce, which in turn paired well with the muscles and clams. Finally, the war was won and we asked for the check before we left with a full belly and a happy heart.
P.s. we also nailed it by finding a parking spot right out front, but there were plenty of cars circling so I wouldn't count on this strategy.
Jerome Lauret
Amazingly fresh seafood, the oyster choice was great and so was their quality. The staff / waiter was awesome as well: friendly and with good suggestion as well as detailing what we had. An overall good experience I can only recommend ...
Dan Yan
Got a dozen oysters and 4-5 of them were tiny one to two inch in diameter. For $33 I expected better selection. I prefer the Queen Ann Taylor and ordering individual oysters, each was plump and tasty.
Bob Yu
Good seafood joint with fresh food. The geoduck was not my thing, but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. Oysters were phenomenal, as was everything else. The restaurant itself is very charming, and in a place that has a lot of character.
David Canales
Went here for oysters, among the best eva!
Find good seafood in Seattle and it's just the best. Even our waitress was gorgeous. Not cheap but for the best it ain't cheap is it?
Next time I am there I am going back.
Mike Ferguson
Best food I've had in a long time!! I highly recommend their crab legs. I had to order a second plate. They were delicious.
Eric Nguyen
Great Happy Hour!
Allison Corner
I'm from out of town, here visiting my Aunt. She highly recommended your oysters and they were fantastic. Justin thank you for your help! Delicious ❤
Nikita Lukyanov
Easily the number one choice for oysters in Seattle.
My personal favorite is Virginica, they are not always on the menu but you can order a plate with a dozen of different oysters and find out which ones do you want tonight.
Try their Bloody Mary, first of all it's really great and secondly it helps with digesting raw seafood in case if you are not accustomed to such things.
Special thanks goes to their clam chowder. Ask for black pepper!
Paige Wallace
Oysters were outstanding! great white wine and beer selection, prompt friendly service. Somewhat limited menu but it is a strictly shellfish bar and what they have is amazing!
Justin Waldon
Friggin awesome. First time having geoduck it was excellent. Hadn't had oysters since I was a kid but decided to try em again and I'm glad I did they were so fresh and oh so good. Had the clams and clam chowder which were some of the best we've ever had. The staff was awesome and on point I'd recommend this place to anybody and everybody. I will definitely be back everytime I visit the seattle area.
Rachel Buchanan
The food was spectacular. The service was lacking. We would have tipped more than the surprise 18.6% they tacked on my party of three. When did house Chardonnay cost $15 a pour?
India A
The food was good, but the service was lackluster. The menu for lunch is fairly limited and priced rather high for the neighborhood, especially considering the service. Everything we ordered, grilled cheese panini, gravlox platter, baguette, etc. were well made and presented beautifully. I suggest happy hour or dinner would likely be better, as I think the wait staff just wasn't focused on lunch.
John Palmieri
I loved this place.
Yep, I used the "L" word in a sentence,
When in a new town, my fall back for getting a good restaurant recommendation is to ask the door guys at my hotel..."where would your grandfather go to eat ________"?
Here is where they recommended!
So I guess Taylor Shellfish has been a oyster supplier, since like before the war and then decided to open a restaurant or two.
I would ask, what the heck took you so long?
The waitstaff are friendly as heck and wicked knowledgeable - seriously!
The oysters are great, the atmosphere is place where you want to spend time, maybe make some friends.
Bonus for having both Campari AND Amaro behind the bar.
I mean there is so much to like here, just go already.
Richard Carpenter
The manager and servers are so friendly and professional. I had my first raw oysters there a few years back and they were great. I always visit when I come to Seattle.
Reggie Pyatt
Love everything about This place !
vincent trouboul
Best seafood i have ever had in my entire life, the experience was fantastic ! Oyster, crabs, lobsters everything is fresh and lovely... I don't have the words to describe it. You HAVE to come and try if you are in Seattle :)
Kira Rowe
Best raw oyster bar I’ve found thus far in Seattle! Day-of fresh oysters with accompanying cold and hot options, plus fresh crab and clam dishes. Delicious with accompanying lovely service.
Max Holmberg
Pricey, but some of the most well curated and carefully prepared and oysters on the shell you'll get in town, plus other light seafood offerings and drinks.
Kate Lottman
As unsure Minnesotans, this was the place to go to ensure fantastic and fresh seafood. We ordered the shucker's dozen in hopes for the best and our waitress even took an oyster away and replaced it because of wasn't up to her standards. What an amazing place to try the local best and it did not disappoint.
ashley sevadjian
So fresh and delicious! I had the Moqueca
Kirk Arnold
The happy hour is the time to go if you want to eat alot. 4-6 Mon-friday They have good beer . only one at happy hour. German bitbuger. you only save a little on the beer. just get the beer you want.. The oysters are fresh. And good. service is effencent. I would for sure try it. do happy hour and get the best deal and less people.
Megan Torkildson
Always delicious seafood! Shared the prawn cocktail and ordered oyster stew for the perfect lunch (with a side of bread of course!). Would definitely stop by if in the area.
This location is also the largest so they have other food options compared to Melrose market / cap Hill (such as the oyster po' boy) and more seating.
Tso “Chucky Cheese” Pigu
The taste is good, but the menu is a bit thin. Well, the restaurant does say it's a shellfish restaurant. So don't hope for salmon or cod or fish and chips. Only clams, oysters, mussels, and shellfish.
That being said, they do well for what they advertise. For that matter, it's a worthwhile place to visit for serious shellfish and oysters.
Ibrahim Mimou
Oysters are great but I was disappointed with the rest of the menu, there isn’t a whole lot of cooked entree’s or appetizers to pair with your oysters.
Ming-Chi Kuo
everything solid. oysters were arranged in a nice spiral by type/size. tomato fish stew was hearty, salad was simple but tasty. tall ceilings, comfy space, big tvs for games. really appreciated our server going over all 7 types of oysters too!
Stephen
Taylor's Shellfish has good food and while it is a nice place to get oysters other restaurants in Seattle offer a better product at the same rate. I visited Taylor's in July which admittedly is not the best time of year for shellfish. I also found that there was a fishy smell noticeable immediately upon entry, admittedly the heat plays a factor, but cleanliness is paramount when dealing with shellfish and should be maintained to the highest standards.
collin foster
Some of the tastiest, freshest oysters I've ever had. They also had so many varieties at such a low cost. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Marin Solace
I cannot remember the last time I had a better dining experience! Dawn was a badass(the only word I could think of because she was so awesome!). It felt like I was at a friends house for dinner. Being an industry person having a good experience is so rewarding. We will be back to see her!
Seriously dawn you are one of a kind and we loved your style!
❤️❤️❤️
Dee K
Great staff!! Fabulous oysters!!
Andrea Klair
Food is great and the oysters are very fresh. It was sooooo loud in there, I had to raise my voice when talking to my seat mate. Servers were attentive and nice. A must try when in Seattle.
Todd Schwiesow
Great service.... Great oysters! Fresh and delicious... Cocktail sauce was really good... Not sweet at all, nice and spicy.... Bartenders were fun... Nice work!
A'Channa Kichiwa Valle
Wow! So glad I found this spot. Had to wait for a train and its right around the corner. Oysters on the half shell and a great glass of wine. Attentive and knowledgeable servers. Relaxed, fun atmosphere. Just about perfect!!
Valeria Boesch Neira
Good oyster selection but the star of the show was the crab Mac and cheese which was amazing. Service is great and very helpful!
Moonpie Wagonwheel
Amazing! Came here with my wife on a road trip to Seattle. As two people who don’t eat much shellfish the waitress was very helpful and understanding of our “Prairie” tastes. Worth a trip here if your in Seattle.
Giles Beilby
Third trip here. If you want oysters in Seattle, this is where to go. Even if you're a San Jose Earthquakes fan. Seriously good menu, good atmosphere, good service.
Michael Struck
Great oysters. The lunch menu is a little light; if you are looking for anything other than oysters and salad you only other options are po boys. However, the food and salad were very fresh and tasty.
Richard Osterholtz
Fresh seafood prepared well excellent service and an inviting ambiance, but a little pricey.
Matthew Carlson
Running around Portland at lunch looking for oysters? This is a solid choice to sample the regions best on the half shell. Friendly staff and an accessible menu. Worth the stop.
Lisa Wilson
Super fresh, high quality seafood!
We came for happy hour and had oysters on the half shell. Service was great! I love this place!
Dariul Darkstar
Great atmosphere and awesome service. These guys work hard for you and want you to have a great experience. Fantastic Oysters as well!!!
tri tip chuck
Try the Buffalo deviled eggs, there's a fried oyster on top, really yummy and only $10 for 5
David Li
Happy hour oysters is the best on the planet
Hale Cesar
The food was spectacular and the service was amazing! Spent over $400 and they gave us a free whiskey on the house 😍😍
Shelby Frank
Everytime I go the staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic, and most importantly, the food is delicious. Highly recommend trying each of the oysters they have in the restaurant that day.
Jessica Durney
Fresh and tasty food, cool cocktails, and a lovely staff make this place my go-to when friends come into town.
Eric H
This is an excellent place to stop in for amazing oysters and a good beer. Nice casual experience that feels a little bit upscale.
Michael Calhoun
The oysters were very tasty and the chili mussels top notch. Our service was friendly and attentive. We tried a little of everything and it was all good
Shaun
Great place to eat Staff is friendly, professional.
At Taylor shellfish company you will get the best Shellfish in the northwest Taylor shellfish company takes pride in everything they do from Farm to Table. Here in Seattle and Bellevue you can enjoy Taylor shellfish oysters and other unique cool food Geoduck, Dungeness Crab fresh shucked oysters cooked oysters etc...
Sheldon White
Went here with a group before a Mariner's game and was impressed. Food quality was top notch and service was generally good. A little pricey for what you get, but I would go back. Definitely a solid option for any pre-game or pre-concert event in that area.
Amber Kalish
Such a great place! Watch them shuck your oysters right in front of you. Super friendly staff and fun, upbeat environment. Will return on future trips through Seattle.
Matt Kindig
I had a perfect half-hour before the game at the fresh oyster counter. Split off from the pack real quick, walked up and had a round of Viginica and Sunseekers fresh, with some Drum neat. Then the broiled House oysters came out. Perfect.
Sara Reagan
Thank you to the waitress that helped this Texas gal navigate the wonders of Pacific Northwest shellfish! I had no idea how different it would taste from the gulf coast. Absolutely fantastic food and an absolutely fantastic experience.
Slade Sinak
We went when this place was just opening up in the morning and grabbed seats at the bar. You can order oysters one by one if you'd like a tasting, and their fried oysters are also delicious if you're looking for a snack or a meal.
Steve Wong
Happy hour oysters a good deal
Aur Merin
Great oysters, clams, mussels, grilled cheese and fries. The serves know so much about every single shellfish and the selection is so large! I would definitely recommend it.
Cougfan#93 Rod
The food was good and the service was great. The one downside is that it is a little bit pricey. Great location as it is right next to Lumen Field.
Matthew Cacophony
May actually be the best crab I've ever had, and I'm from everywhere on the east coast Georgia up to Maine. Just amazing. And less than a block from the Embassy Suites!
Andrew Allison
Excellent people (especially Dawn) and food! My girlfriend and I visited from New York after seeing this place featured on Parts Unknown. You can't go wrong with some local Oysters and Rosé.
Austin Wakely
Went to Elliot's earlier and the oysters don't even compare. Best oysters in town, great service. I would come back here everyday if possible. Try the sumo kumo oysters!!
Matthew Love
Our time there was. Really enjoyable and I particularly enjoy the beautifully redesigned classic old space. A nice place where old meets new. A little less crowded and frenetic than Melrose Place Capitol Hill.
Douglas James
Great oysters for happy hour and some tasty beers on tap. Try the Gooey Duck, it was perfect.
The Dude
Tourists... Take note! This place is legit! Get the Geoduck... Pronounced "gooey duck", and the Tuna Tartar is rediculous. There is nothing on this menu, that I would pass up. And their milk stout is stupid good! Don't hit the fancy names, don't waste your time go here!
DON
The best experience I've ever had in seattle thus far. Fantastic service and fantastic food. I was so shocked at how amazing everything tasted. Absolutely perfect
Ellis Sit
Went around 2PM. No waiting for table. Parked right outside the restaurant at meters. Very fresh oyster. One star taken off was the shrimp are a bit small and not quite fresh for the price.
Gamal Hernandez
Delicious and the best service in Seattle.
Joseph Raczynski
Went here for their happy hour. Perhaps it was an off day, but it felt kind of dead. The oysters were okay, very meaty - local veriety.
glenn austerfield
Very good selection of very fresh shellfish, with a knowledgeable staff to explain what you are eating. Also a good selection of craft beers. A bit pricey, but well worth it.
Tiffany-Ashton Gatsby
Best oyster deals in the city. They farm 's so they're the freshest, too! Happy hour drinks are an extreme value.
Carlos Gr
Server is fantastic, and the tuna tostada and good variety of oysters
Kyrstin K (KSalt)
The staff was awesome and the oysters were even better! Not disappointed AT ALL! pretty decent price for the location too!
Jacob Pankanin
Amazing happy hour. Great staff. Great non-alcoholic options. Try the marinated mussels!
Susan Suh
Fresh oysters for the season but limited seatings. Do not take reservations unless big party. Food is good.
Sherryl Manalo
Great seafood! I really enjoyed deviled eggs, fried oysters, mussels, and fresh oysters. Casual place and nice service.
FC F
A great selection of the freshest oysters in town and excellent presentation - the cooked oysters are also great - wish they had caviar and served it Russian style (could be local caviar though).
Samantha Murphy
Good place to go if you want local seafood. Oysters we're great, prawns amazing. Our salad was so so.
Kathy Ward
Be sure to try at least 4 different menu items! Best place in Seattle for oysters. Terrific wait staff.
Alan Burggren
best crab I've ever had
Christopher Wolstenholme
Get here if you are ever in Seattle!! Loved it!!
Brian Johnson
Who doesn't come here pre-funk, before the game? Beers on tap are great. Clam chowder is proper...but could use three/four clams...but proper for jump off
Michael Rensing
Fresh seafood well prepared. Great attention to taste combinations. Friendly, helpful staff. Loved it: we had a great evening.
Arthur Kim
If you're looking for a good happy hour, be sure to stop by Taylor Shellfish. They have awesome oysters for a great price. For the more adventurous, get the geoduck.
Katshot
Service was the high point for me. Food was good but not great. Cocktails were good!
Nikki Armstrong
Friendly staff, great location and most importantly the best oysters in the PNW.
Ryan Arch
It is not gratuity if it is not optional. They are smart in that they label it 'service charge' on the receipt but the menu and the server explained it as gratuity at 19%. Then they have the gall to put an additional tip field in the store reciept.
It is offputting to so brazenly tell your customer that a specific charge, above the already high price of materials and service, will be doled out to supplement the employees' benefits.
Dr. Yahya Radwan
Amazing friendly quick service.
Oysters were perfect. Really hit the spot.
The host made our visit perfect.
Josey Knackstedt
Always fantastic with great staff. The prices are decent, all things considered. Cocktails are great too!

Jenn C
Great oyster!! Love it!! And awesome staff!! I will give six stars if I can.
Tyler J
There are many Taylors in Seattle. This is the best one. They don't keep the oysters in water and have great staff. Don't go to the others. Waste of money.
Brent Bobsein
Delicious oysters and geoduck. Farm and restaurant aligned under the same ownership enables the freshest experience possible. Friendly and accessible wait staff.
Jacqueline Gaw
Dungeness crab but at market price and they have this "oh my god" sauce. The dress fries are kinda soggy though. But overall a yummy place.
Justin J.
These oysters hit the spot. Don't remember all the names, but they were all uniquely delicious and fresh. Can't beat it, the service and staff was extremely knowledgeable as well.
Kevin Hubert
Expensive oysters but the best I've ever had. Very knowledgeable waiter who explained the differences in types of oysters and paired them with a delicious IPA.

The seafood here is top notch and the oyster po' boy is one of the best I've had. Nice drinks list and they are well made.
Mr. 2 (E)
Great selection of oysters
Barry Popma
If you are passionate about oysters, this is the place. Taylor Farms controls every step in the process and the rewards are worth your time and dollars. We sat at the bar and learned a bucket-load from bar tender about the process and background of clams, oysters and Geoduck. This is the first I've run into fresh geoduck and I'd say it's worth the tip to Washington alone.
Camille S
This place is great! I would recommend this place for you if you enjoy seafood and are interested in trying new ways to eat it. This place is best for small groups of 1 to 4.
Cari Morales
Bestest, freshest seafood. I love the crab! And oysters. And geoduck. Staff is knowledgeable and I feel like I learn something every time I visit.

Mandatory 18% service charge explains the ragged moods and stoic eyes. The oysters were delicious, though.
Chelsea
The oysters were fantastic! I would definitely come back for a full meal as every dish leaving the counter looked amazing.
Patricia Stuart
Food is great. Having NO RED WINE offering on the menu seems like a mistake. My 3rd visit here. One red offering seems sensible.
andrew243022
Love the “Buffalo Soldiers”. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu though. Some decent happy hour oyster options as well.
Stosh Kowalski
Excellent selection, great food, reasonable prices, and the owner is a subject matter expert on everything about oysters!
Charles Roper
Nice meal but grumpy server, seemed to be put off that we were there, but won't let a bad server attitude ruin my review of good food.
Cherish Frazier
Shout out to Dan Jacob with Taylor shellfish... Dan's been the face of Taylor Shellfish for us over the last 3 years we've seen him in action in Seattle + it was great to see him in action at SLURP 2019 too ( Dan is seriously the reason we are continued customers of Taylor Shellfish)

This place is amazing. I wish I had our servers name but she knew her stuff... We had 2 of each of the 5boyaters and they were out of this world.
