Reviews of Serious Pie Downtown
Every pizza at this place is really good. We had six in our party and everyone ordered something different and each person got to try a slide of different flavors and we loved them. Everyone had enjoyed our time there. The drink are pretty good as well. The waiter was very nice and very attentive to our needs. I really appreciate that. This will be in my revisit list!
Superiors pizza. Especially because of their crust. The crust is not only cooked well and has a good consistency as dough, but it has a subtly flavor to it! I was not expecting this as it is so rare to find a pizza with a solid crust that also has flavor as contributes to the dish on its own.
In addition to the crust being delicious, the tomato sauce for the margarita pizza was also delicious. It was fresh and had an exceptional refreshing tomato to it. The cheese was solid. But then to top it all off, there was some spice mixture sprinkled on top. I could taste a wee bit of salt and oregano, but there was something else that I couldn’t pin-point. This was was one of my favorite parts of the pizza.
Would highly recommend Serious Pie to anyone else. I look forward to going again the next time I’m in town!
I also got the order to go and even with it being a little cooler by the time I ate it, it was still good. Aka doesn’t need to be super fresh and warm to enjoy.
Went here for dinner on Wednesday night. The place is full even though we went 30 minutes before closing. The service is nice although a bit slow, but the pizzas are delicious. We ordered Tomato mozzarella pizza and roasted oyster mushroom pizza. The crust is perfect, I liked mushroom pizza better than tomato mozzarella one. This place served one of the best pizzas I had in Seattle area.
Fantastic! Great, friendly service! This was one of the best thin crust pizzas I have ever had! The sausage is slightly sweet, wonderful flavor. The roasted peppers were excellent. Perfect cheese to sauce ratio. The crust was crunchy and light. Plus rugby on the TV!!! Thanks guys! My first trip here. I will definitely be back.
Great time to come is during happy hour 3 pm- 5 pm Monday thought Friday. They have $7 half sized pizzas and $7 glasses of wine. The service was excellent! Great dining experience! If you like focaccia bread, then you will like the pizzas here. I like the more traditional Italian style pizza, so the pizza crust too rich for my taste. I thought is was fried, but the waiter reassured me that the pizza was only baked. The crust was amazing on its own! Come in with an open mind on what pizza can taste like and you will be happy!
Stopped in for a quick bite during a mini three stop pizza crawl. By far the best pizza we had along our journey. Definitely would recommend this place to any pizza lover. If you stop in for happy hour they have minis which you could order to try multiple pies. Wish we did that but loved our pie! Will definitely be back next time we’re in Seattle.
This is the best pizza I've had in Seattle, hands down. The service was excellent & unobtrusive, letting the food speak for itself. Actually I haven't had pizza this good in a very long time, and I've traveled quite a lot and I love pizza... Really love pizza. Also, the Chicory Chop salad was 🔥
Pizzas reviewed & pictured here:
- Clam & pancetta
- Roasted morel mushroom
Based on some of the other reviews here, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this pizza. The crust is thicker than I would typically choose, however this pizza was incredible. The crust was so tasty, not just a flavorless vessel for the high quality ingredients that topped the pies. Furthermore , the kale salad we split was beyond all expectations I could have for a salad. Our server, Keni, was knowledgeable, funny, and welcoming. I'd recommend Serious Pie to anyone in the area.
Had a sweet fennel sausage pizza here with the family, it was great. Loved the style and crunch of the crust, toppings were delicious.
Service was great too and really enjoyed our visit. Could recommend to all and we would come back!
Had the asparagus Cesar salad and the clam pizza. The asparagus was grilled to perfection. Honestly never had better. The pizza was good. Finally a pizza with enough parmesan! Also had cocktails and beer. They are good, but the wine list could use more local wines. Service was great. There was a 30 minute wait but they let us sit on the bakery side and order drinks while we waited for a table. Atmosphere is fantastic. You can see the pizza oven and the hard working staff in the back!
Solid pizza spot with awesome crust and elevated toppings. This place gets PACKED so definitely get a reservation or plan to carry out. We tried a couple pies and thought they were delicious but definitely wouldn't go out of my way to get it again.
Decent and cheap street parking in this area.
Great food.. service can be a little slow if they are full. $21 for a 1-2 person pizza is steep but their ingredients are fresh and tastes amazing. Not an every week pie place, but once in a month, will go for the taste.
It’s such a beautiful spot. As soon you enter there’s great vibes just by looking at the interior. It’s rustic, it’s modern, it’s lit and everyone in there seems to have fun. The staff was very very polite.
This place was busy on a weekday.
They have a gorgeous bar inside.
Let’s talk pizza - it was delicious. It felt like you’re in Italy having a pizza at a local place. It was just amazingly delicious. It’s was out of the world.
Highly recommend this place.
Excellent pizza choices. Outstanding salads that are easy to share. Generous wine pours with very tasty options. It’s a bit loud, but who cares? Festive pkace and get food. There’s some construction nearby, but don’t let that stop you!
Delicious pizza. Kudos to the staff for being great on a busy night. Definitely worth a visit! This location has lots of space but will sometimes not have enough for larger groups.
Service on point. Everyone is so nice. Pizza is good but not $25 for 8 little slice good, in my opinion. Layout of restaurant and furniture all very nice, parking can be challenging.
There is no better place to celebrate Pi Day than Serious Pie. Actually, any day is the perfect day to go to this yummy place. The pizzas are so great, and the drinks are amazing. The staff are phenomenal!!!
Serious pie team
I have some serious recommendations for you.LOL
First of al thank you for great hosting team
Friday and kind
Green salad : 2/5 why? The cucumber and radish was frozen and taste bad the dressing was not enough portion was good 11$
Pizza was sweet sausage 20$
Mushroom 19$
Pizza : hands down I give you 20 out of 5 if I could. Very light crunchy crust fresh ingredients amazing taste
I haven’t had a pizza like it since I came back from Newyork
55$ total no drinks
Thanks
Delicious thin crust pizza pies. Also some side dishes that are quite tasty as well. Good value pricing when we went as a large group for lunch.
Yukon gold potato pizza was a standout like butter crispy baked potatoes on a pizza. Mushroom pizza was quite unique with multiple types of mushrooms.
The food was veru good, but to me the servings was small. I'm glad I ordered salad and didn't depend on the pizza to feel me up. Overall great and the mock tail was wonderful
Reasonably priced pizza joint. A great spot for lunch. The menu is limited to some salads and pies, but they are pretty delicious. The only complaint is my pizza was pretty close to burnt on the bottom. A little crunch is expected with a stone fired pizza, but mine definitely had some charred taste to it from the crust being over cooked.
An excellent example of wood fired pizza. We had the mushroom and green tomato pizzas, both of which were excellent. I would have preferred a little more truffle oil.
The crust used here is light and delicious, and complemented the pies very well.
Our server helped guide our decision and we were so glad she did!
Great pizzeria, they only have pizzas (thin) and salads (and desserts) on the menu. The service was pleasant, the atmosphere very good. Highly recommended.
Outrageously good pizza. The mushroom truffle pizza....hands down one of the best things I have ever eaten.....pizza or otherwise.
Ultra nice and friendly staff that clearly cares about their product and your dining experience.
Excellent pizza as always.
Expect a flavorful, light pizza with delightful toppings and a well composed profile. It is not a neopolitan pizza, but it is thin crust, and a treat to eat throughout - including the crust.
The wait time for sitting can vary between 5-10m and 1 hour, and they don't take reservations unless you're a party of 6 or more.
The thin crust pizza here was delicious. Arrived early at around 6 pm. It was a bit busy and the only seating available was near the bar. We ordered the prosciutto pizza, mushroom pizza, and the sausage pizzas. All were tasty. My favorite was the prosciutto. Pizzas are ~$20-25.
Amazing fire baked pizza. The touch of olive oil and flakey salt on top was great. Sweet fennel sausage with peppers was a balanced meaty and flavor packed pizza. Mushroom and truffle was hearty and meaty as well, with a light truffle taste that was not overpowering. Some of the best pizza, crust was perfectly chewy and crispy as well.
This is not a normal pizza experience. In fact I do not rate serious pie when talking about best pizza I've eaten.
I have lived in Seattle twice after a 5 year break and this place has not ever disappointed!!. The crust is so perfect, salty, crunchy world of amazingness. The toppings all just work, from the sausage to the potato and I had the ham special. Just heaven.
Truly chef inspired pizza. Thank you Tom Douglas. Deserves to be on any pizza pilgrimage. If you are a foodie you are required to try the clam pizza and the mushroom truffle pizza. The normal pizzas are also stellar. You cannot order pizza takeout/delivery and still rate it. Ever.
The famous Dahlia Bakery CCP (Coconut Cream Pie) is available on site. At $12 a slice it's priced fairly.
But the real steal (do you even deserve this info?) is the $7 happy hour half pizzas. I ordered 3 half pizzas. I am king.
The pizza selection is small but intriguing. I enjoyed the sausage pizza with roasted pepper and provolone. They also have a good selection of beers.
This place was good, but not $40+ for one pizza and a single nonalcoholic drink good. There is not a lot to choose from menu wise. The waitress spent A LOT of time talking to customers and we finally had to ask for our ticket because we were going to be late for our conference. She was very kind but not very attentive. She said she'd be right back with our check and then stopped to talk to other customers again. We then had to ask once again for our check because we were now late. As an as we paid she went back over to the table she was previously at to continue casual conversation. I get being social but during a lunch rush just wasn't a good time for it. I'm happy to pay well for my food but this seemed a bit high for what I got. Probably won't be back but the food was made well and tasty.
a pizza place i have to visit every time i visit Seattle! honestly lost count of how many times i’ve visited now. my go to is definitely the clam pizza. followed by the mushroom one. the crust of the pizza is always so thin and crispy! (PS the washroom requires a code so be sure to check in with a server before going!)
Not so serious pie.
Came here during restaurant week and pizza was alright.. more of a tourist trap. Salad was disappointing, wet, and flaccid. Dessert was actually not bad but it was kinda expensive so meh. If you want good pizza go to Roccos.
Great service in a busy happy atmosphere. The crust is thin and toasty from the wood fired oven.everything was delicious! Easy walk right around the corner from the lovely Mayflower hotel.
Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Must try the truffle pizza. The tomato soup and kale salad were great.
This is a chain pizzeria in Seattle. It is a bit more expensive than other pizzerias but it has higher quality. I got margherita pizza and draft beer. Beer was locally brewed and delicious. Pizza was crispy, fresh and delicious. I paid total 26 USD. Service is good and professional.
Seriously - the best pizza ever. And such yummy tomato soup. Exquisite and delectable! Fine dining and classy ambiance and professional servers.
The service was welcoming, helpful and fast. We were seated right away and our food and drinks came out not too long after. I had the sweet fennel sausage pizza with pepperoni and my fiancé had the ferndale farms pizza. We were both satisfied and would return if back in the Seattle area and craving pizza.
Serious Pie is definitely a different pizza spot. It was the opposite of what I expected. This is a sit down restaurant. You’re meant to dine in, enjoy the vibe and experience the atmosphere. It’s not the quick grab-and-go pizza parlor I wanted but it was literally one of five places opened in downtown Seattle on the 4th of July so I settled for it.
They’ve got a selection of brewed crafts form around the PNW. I enjoyed a Made Marion cider from 2 Towns Ciderhouse. For food, my husband and I shared a pizza made of penn cove clams, chili flakes, pancetta, lemon thyme and parmesan ($22.00). It was okay. I found the lemon thyme overused and too potent for my liking. There were t many clams and that’s probably a good thing because I didn’t really like them. The presentation wasn’t the best. I thought it was a pretty ugly sight but I never judge a book by its cover. It just wasn’t a really good combo. The dough was really good!
Service was okay. Our poor waitress was definitely stressed and maybe overworked so I didn’t take it personally.
From their bakery to the pizza Serious pie is a must place to eat. It caters to everyone meat, vegan etc Very calm environment. Matt the hostess was amazing and our server Joseph the best you have to try this💯✅ …
Yes, the pies are serious. Seriously good. Thursday at 6:30 was a busy time, but a 15 minute wait isn't bad and exactly what was quoted. Our server was friendly and full of personality, and she definitely sold me on trying the guava lemonade which was an unfamiliar combination. Each sip started with lemon and finished with guava, quite a unique experience. I ordered the sausage/pepper pizza, and here's my four point pizza review.
-Crust: Good dough, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with the perfect amount of chewiness. Great char on the bottom - just enough to give it that brick oven flavor without tasting burnt.
-Sauce: Sllightly sweet, tangy, and not overly herbed. The perfect amount contributing to overall moisture.
-Toppings: Quality of sausage was good, and it had just the right amount of fennel which can be overpowering if not balanced right. Peppers were sliced thinly and had very nice flavor. When the pizza was first served I thought it seemed a light on the cheese, but after the first few bites I realized it was just the right amount to maintain a serious ratio of ingredients.
-Preparation: Crust was stretched well, toppings evenly distrubuted, and overall doneness and color was perfect. Oval, and just the right size for one person. Slices were fully cut all the way through.
I happily consumed every bite down to the last remnant of crust. My friend ordered the mushroom pizza, made with a cream sauce. The mushrooms were quite flavorful and good, but I preferred the extra emphasis from the red sauce on mine. Overall a very good pizza in a nice (albeit slightly noisy) environment, and good folks working there. Serious yum, serious bravo!
Visiting Seattle for the first time and heard good things about this place. Our first visit on a Tuesday did not disappoint. The staff were extremely friendly and brought us beverages while we ordered the "Clams, chili flakes, pancetta, lemon thyme, parmesan" to go. Though the toppings are a little sparse on some pieces — the crust is awesome! Great crunch, fantastic flavor, and the seasoning is spot on.
Second visit – this time on a Thursday, again the staff are super friendly and attentive. We debated about going with the same exact pizza as the first time and instead decided to try the "yukon gold potato, pecorino romano, rosemary" pizza and opted for an additional meat topping. The flavors were great, but once again the toppings were not spread evenly, and sadly both the potatoes and the crust were not cooked in a way you'd want to eat it. Edges of the crust were done, heading towards the center extremely floppy and the potatoes were al dente.
Just like the first visit, we immediately walked back to where we were staying and threw it in the oven to reheat it a little. I think the difference was the day we went in. The first time it wasn't very busy, but the second time they were slammed with customers. Regardless it's absolutely worth it.
This is not just Serious Pie. This is KILLER Pie! I have eaten pizza all over the world and only one other time have I tasted a pie this good. I’m not going to describe it because I can’t, it’s that good.
Mine had EVOO sauce, a layer of prosciutto, onions, baby asparagus and scamorza (smoked mozzarella).
Wow. So delicious. It pays off trying something new. The mushroom pizza was amazing. Great friendly service too
Every pizza at this place is really good. We had six in our party and everyone ordered something different and each person got to try a slide of different flavors and we loved them. Everyone had enjoyed our time there. The drink are pretty good as well. The waiter was very nice and very attentive to our needs. I really appreciate that. This will be in my revisit list!
Came in for quick late night dinner. Had kale salad with two pies (why is it called pie vs just a pizza or open faced flatbread 🤷🏻♂️)
Appetizer salad : marinated lacinato kale 8/10. It’s kale covered in parm.
Pie 1 : penn cove clams 9/10. First experience with clams on a thin crusted bread. Pleasantly surprised.
Pie 2: cotechino sausage, delicata squash, 4/10. Think sweet and spicy. The flavor is palatable but not enjoyable. Emphasis on sweet.
Service was quick and kind. No wait / seated to meal was 20~25 minutes after ordering.
Would be back to try more. Will not get the cotechino sausage squash. Do not get.
A bit disappointing. The dough was burnt (can see from the pictures), it was burnt enough to have a strong burnt taste in multiple areas. A little bit of more well cooked areas is okay, but you can see from crust that it was almost all overdone and hard. The bottom was also a bit charred as well.
The cheese did not seem like quality fresh mozzarella. This might be more of a preference area, but good mozzarella tends to look whiter and have a more stretchy consistency.
Rest of the pizza was good, but burnt crust and mediocre cheese was quite disappointing.
— Edited my review to add a star because of the thorough and caring response, if I’m in town again I would give this place another chance.
4 options for vegetarian pizza. Potato pizza was kinda hyped I felt. Very bland. Tomato mozzarella pizza was good, but nothing you won't find elsewhere. Good service. Friendly staff.
We only tried the mushroom and truffle cheese pizza. Me and my 9 year old daughter thought it was really really good. My 6 year old thought it was decent. We got there at 8:45 pm and the kitchen closed at 9. My older daughter thought it was nice that they asked us if we wanted anything else before the kitchen closed for the night and thought the service was good. I've had their other pizzas before and thought all of them were unique and excellent.
Great place for some serious pizza. Thinner crust pizza with super topping combinations. We tried 3 different varieties. Honestly can say any choice would be a great choice. Something for everyone. We'll be back. Lots of parking nearby ( none cheap, though). Great eating environment with a nice wine selection.
Cute pizza joint near downtown Seattle. The atmosphere was nice and a good place for conversation. Reasonable wine selection as well as both innovative and classic pizzas. I got the classic Margherita which was quite tasty.
The food was amazing! We had a salad to start, fennel sausage pizza for the main course, and the chocolate budino and coconut cream pie to finish. Everything exceeded our expectations and left us feeling full and satisfied. But what stood out even more was the waitress, Emily. She was the only one on the floor, but she was handling everything super calmly and was incredibly helpful. She was also insanely friendly and you could tell she was in love with the food that they served, by the way she recommended and talked about the items there. Definitely recommend stopping in for some pizza, and the superb service!
Excellent experience! My wife and I shared a roasted oyster mushrooms, crimini, truffle cheese pizza. It was amazing. The staff was pretty quick and attentive. To wrap it up, I especially loved the convenience of scanning the receipt and paying with Apple Pay.
Great food and wonderful service! Their artichoke starter and their clam pizza were amazing! Their craft beer and cider were wonderful as well
Very tasty Pizza, great dough, great sauce. Nice staff, although we felt a bit rushed!
The tomato soup is just fantastic, very easy to split with a date or significant other and the same goes for the delicious pizza, calm lighting.
Great place to pop in for a beer and a pie. I had tge roasted mushroom pizza and it was amazing! Crust is perfect and the flavors were perfect.
I has the sweet sausage pizza which was very good. The guava lemonade was also good. Conveniently located. Nice staff.
I never thought I'd have a life changing pizza but here we are. We stopped in on our honeymoon after seeing the Space Needle, and I though my life would be measured from my wedding day forward, but no... we're living in a post Serious Pizza era.
The Yukon potatoe pizza with the house ranch sauce blew our minds with every bite. The squash starter was just as amazing as the service was kind.
Highly recommend a stop if you're in the downtown area.
Best pizza at Seattle, hands down, the only reason that I cannot visit on a weekly basis is the distance. Well they do not have a long menu with mediocre stuff since they focus on Pizza.
The first two (or ask waiter) are most popular and technically you just need to order them and enjoy. The salads are good as appetizers, but Pros usually skip them.
I loved the pizzas and gin drink, great food, great service. Love the creativity with potato pizza :)
Amazing. The pizza was out this world . It was very good. If you are looking for some ZA i would SERIOUSly recommend this place. The drinks are good 2
Many pizzas here are an olive oil/alternative base, which is a no go for me. They will gladly add sauce to accommodate but the flavor profiles aren't made for it. The crust is stellar and the ingredients are very high quality.
Cramped/brisk atmosphere.
Loved this place so much and ate there several times during my short stay. Their pizza is delicious and loved their salad as well. Staff is so friendly and will make an excellent suggestion on their menu and choices that you like to try out.
Excellent pie! We want during the happy hour and it was completely worth the pizzas and drinks.
Cute Restaurant, nice bar but wish they had a few more pizza options. All flatbreads were decent size and good for sharing. The menu was a little limited. We did really enjoy our pie.
Pizza is fantastic. Service was excellent. Out waiter was friendly and knowledgable as well as attentive. Had a few tasty beers and the wife had a glass of wine. Not crowded, although we went around 3 pm on a Friday, missing the lunch and happy hour/ dinner rush. This place was recommended to us by a friend and he hit the mark.
My son, his fiance and I spent a couple of days in Seattle in July after an Alaskan cruise. I asked the Hilton hotel staff for a recommendation about where to eat, and they mentioned Serious Pie. My son does not really like pizza and wanted to go to Iron Hill Brewery, which is not top of my list. Luckily, they were closed. We walked over to Serious Pie, and I ordered a Margherita pizza, not called that but same idea, and had to fight my "so not a fan of pizza" son for the last slice. It was the best tasting pizza I ever ate. I asked the gal who served us why couldn't I get a pizza this good in Delaware, and she told me that the owner was from Delaware! I asked her to tell him that he was needed at home! My only regret is that I didn't try the coconut cream pie, which they are known for making. My son had the chocolate budino, and it was very good. The atmosphere is cozy, and I can imagine hanging out and eating and talking with friends and family. This restaurant experience is not to be missed.
The prosciutto and wild nettle pizza was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. So fresh and delightful.
This place is average for this price range (hence the 3 stars). The cauliflower appetizer was pretty nice, all be it too oily, and the salad was fine as well. The pizza was on par with any midrange generic place. The crust itself has a pleasant texture but was let down by not having much flavor except a large amount of flour stuck to the bottom. The tomato sauce was too sweet and tasted like over reduced canned tomatoes. The oyster mushroom pizza came with only crimini mushrooms (ew) and the fennel sausage pizza just tasted of meat and sweet tomato... Probably the saddest of all was their cheese, which was clearly pre-grated as it didn't really melt and added no complexity. Definitely would not go here again
Must say, after I was given toasted bread when ordered focaccia, I was very fearful for the rest of my dining experience. But the pizza… phenomenal! Definitely coming back! Would have been 5 stars if not for the “toasted bread” lol. Seriously though, focaccia is more like pizza bread, not table bread.
yummy as hell. and the service was excellent, the two of us ordered the tomato soup (which tasted great) and they thoughtfully split it up into two separate bowls, as well as offered great advice on the pizza choices!
Omg best pizza experience in recent memory! We've been twice in the last month, can't wait to go back. I recommend the kale salad and mushroom pizza.
My first time trying it. I got the standard Margherita pizza. It took more than 15-20 mins though for the pizza to come. The pizza tasted good so I finished it in 5 mins. Overall, I'd come here during happy hour where the slice of a pizza is cheap.
Went with my team during lunch. We waited for 5-6mims before we got a table. It's a small place with very limited food options. If you are a vegan or of you don't eat pork you will have to ask them to remove the meat from the pizza or the starters. We had the kale salad and we asked recommendation from our server. It was not that good I would say! Just regular kale! Maybe the server should recommend something according to the taste of his customer. Anyway, the pizzas were okay, they were of medium size and baked too much that it hurt the insides of my mouth while eating! It was okay on a whole to try out pizzas other than the popular ones, but I'm not sure if I'll be back again. But again if you are into pizza definitely try their menu.
Delicious meal, fast service, great atmosphere, reasonable pricing.
Oh, my goodness this pizza is outstanding! The crust is so light. The staff are amazing, helpfull and so friendly! The management should be proud.
Delicious starters and pizza. The prices are somewhat high, but for the amazing service (quick, polite, personable) and food it was worth it. I had the baby lettuces salad starter, focaccia starter, the traditional pizza and the asparagus and egg pizza. Focaccia is probably in the top 5 foods I've ever eaten, absolutely recommend.
The food was top notch. Jessica (bartender) was by far the best server I experienced in Seattle. I will be coming back next time I’m in town. Highly recommend.
They only serve pizza at dinner. I hear they have a different menu for lunch, which includes biscuits as well. A woodfired pizza is an excellent choice at any time though, particularly when the crust is seasoned well, unlike other pizza. I do not generally finish the crust because of the dull taste, so I usually think of it as a handle, but Serious Pie’s crust is delicious!
$20 pizza (sweet fennel sausage) is not enough for two, unfortunately.
Tips: They do charge 20% as a tip already - no need to pay extra.
Came for happy hour. Had $7 half sized pizza and $4.50 for a can of beer. The pizza was very dry and lacking (I eat LOTS of pizza). Beer was fine.
Overall was a bit disappointed due to the abundance of positive reviews. I'm thinking this is one of those situations where quality suffers because of promotional pricing (Happy Hour).
Cool atmosphere, reasonably friendly service. 20% required gratuity did not make me happy. I'm all for fair wages but if it's mandatory 20% then just add the 20% to the price and say that no tipping is required.
Tried all pizzas and liked most of them; my favorites being the mushroom and sausage ones. The thin crust is great and the serving size was perfect. Would definitely recommend, mainly for group gatherings to try various pizzas.
Pro tip: bar is open seating if you have a small party. Food tastes like quality and the servers are very kind.
Best pizza and cocktails I had I Seattle! And attached to a bakery....oh my guuudness! Went 3 times before I left Seattle and will be back every time I visit!
I came across this place while searching for the best food in Seattle. They serve the best pizza! The crust is thin and the edges were blistered and crispy. We were a group of 4 and tried three different vegetarian pies, all three were such a bliss! Everyone should try their mushroom/ truffle oil pie and rosemary potato pie for sure. The appetizers did not have much veggie options but we tried their marinated artichokes which were amazing! Had an amazing experience here and will come back whenever we visit Seattle. The place is small and usually full in the evenings, be prepared for some wait time. A bit on expensive side as well.
My pizza was burnt on the ends and gooy in the middle the stools where tall and hard.covid restrictions where observed.yet the people working there made it a good meal and a great experience
My husband, 15 month old, and I stopped by here for a late lunch on a Friday during happy hour (3-5pm weekdays). Service was fast and friendly and they had a high chair available for our little one, as well as a colouring sheet. We had 3 half sized pizzas; seasonal mushroom, fennel sausage, and the one with the soft egg. All the pizzas were delicious. Note they include a 20% service change instead of tipping and share that it say with the organization and they support their employees with health care and continuing education - seemed fair to us.
We ordered a bourbon and two pizzas. Potato crisp pizza was okay but Treehugger was what we cherished in Vegetarian items.
Great pies. But be prepared for a 20-40 minutes wait.
Good place to dine in. Limited menu and crust is super thin.
Staff are friendly..
Prices are high as this is in seattle DT, can't expect less
The coconut Cream Pie is a perfect dessert!!! Great unique flatbread type pizza.
While the pizza was really good, I felt it was a bit overrated. We tried the margarita and the fungi and was really nice. The dough looked burned on the sides but tasted perfect. Fantastic service from the staff and nice ambiance. No fountain drinks though which was disappointing in a pizza place where I think is an absolute must!
Good place for a quick bite near Pike street. They have only a few items but all are delicious. However they do have a lot of wine options which is great for wine lovers. The service is good as well but not excellent.
The food here is amazing. The dining area is a bit small so if you go during rush hours, there might be a bit of a wait.
Their menu is small enough that you don’t have to spend a tons of time to decide what to eat. The pizza is thin crust with vegetarian option. I am taking one star off because the portion is a bit small for its price.
Delicious! The pizza was the perfect size to share for lunch along with a salad. Love that they do a 20% service charge instead of tipping so they can take better care of their employees! Mostly communal seating. Cozy. Very quick and friendly service!
Really good pizza. Nice and crisp and hot with plenty of sauce and herbs. Definitely would want to come here again. 1 pizza is big enough for 2 people for 1 person if they are hungry.
We got here during the happy hour so drinks were quite affordable. The pizza was delicious and the waiter was quite friendly and showed concern. The only downside is that a mandatory 20% is imposed on all bills for service. Didn't see this anywhere else except here. We were informed upfront about the 20% so it didn't come as a surprise
Great home made pizza. There is also a wonderful bakery (Dhalia) in the same address.
The pizzas (pies) here are seriously good and seriously diverse. A range of bases, from tomato sauce to olive oil, and variety of ingredients from artichoke to sausage to squash. My favorite was the Cotechino sausage with delicate squash - olive oil base, but the sausage is spicy (for those who don't like that).
Nice pizza joint with jolly staff. Choices of pizza are surprisingly limited for a pizza place. Food is alright, good place for hanging out with friends.
You will find absolutely incredible pizzas at Serious Pie. We’ve had the margherita and the truffle cheese one (see photo attached). The tomato base for example is one of the best ones we‘ve ever tried and the truffle cheese was outstanding. There is free water served and a 20 per cent service charge is included from the beginning, which is retained by the company and goes back to the service team. We will come back for sure!
A group of us came for pizza and drinks and no one was disappointed! The small pizzas are perfectly portioned for a personal size! The staff were very friendly and the overall atmosphere was nice and casual. Overall they had great food and a great vibe. I’d come again!
I visited Serious Pie on a trip to Seattle a few years ago, and was super excited to try it again recently. It was even better than I remembered.
Serious Pie has a refreshing atmosphere. It’s a nice restaurant—perfect for a date night or birthday—without being overly fancy. The staff are all nice and seem to enjoy being there. I like how the tip is pre-included in the bill to support the staff, and I really wish that more places did this.
The pizza here is awesome. The crust is thin without being burnt, and the ingredients are fresh and interesting. I’m not normally a big fan of thin crust pizza, but Serious Pie does a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend splitting multiple pizzas with friends, so that you can try as many flavors as possible.
Amazing Pizza, hands down the best in Seattle. Not only the crust is crispy, but just the taste is enough to start the party. Valerie was an amazing waitress.
Visiting Seattle for a couple of days with work. Was recommended this place. I arrived at 4:30pm ish (jet lagged). Had the best service and the pizza was to die for (I chose mushroom, cheese and truffle). Yum. Quirky larger selection too 👏. Would recommend …
Too damned good, and now that this location branched over into the adjacent space even the restaurant itself is very nice and not too crowded. Definitely go at happy hour Monday through Friday, 3-5 and a personal sized portion of every variety of pizza you arent allergic to for 7 bucks each, it's absolutely the best way to find out what you like. You'll start planning your trips to Seattle around serious Pi, hands down the best pizza in the state, even the inlaws from New York put it in their top 3 in the country!
Great pizza and drink selections! We split a salad and had a classic margarita pizza, plenty for two people to share. Be prepared to show proof of vaccination when you arrive
Wow! Service and food were excellent at a reasonable price. Best pizza in the PNW!
Smallish pizzas but awesome flavors and the crust is perfect. We had the roasted oyster mushrooms with crimini, truffle cheese and added pepperoni. Smashing baby! The Jellyfish Brewing Pilsner was excellent too. Wifey had the Chianti which she thought was very good. Recommended.
Food was great! We got the mushroom pizza and the kid's pizza. We also got the baby romaine salad. It's a small menu so not tons of selection. The service was also great. We took 2 of our kids with us (age 4&5) but I wouldn't call it the most kid friendly place. Most of their seating is counter height and they seated our party of 4 at a table with 2 other strangers... It is a like cramped in there too. But since the food was so good, it didn't bother me too much.
Haven’t had such a perfect pizza in years. Will definitely go back to try out the other flavors.
Best pizza in downtown. We had the Special of the day suggested by our waitress. Service was great and the pizza was delicious.
The very delicious 😋 Clam and Panchetta pizza by Serious Pie is always one of my favs when I'm in Seattle, and they did not disappoint this time 😃
Was too busy enjoying the delicious pizza to take photo, so the box will have to do for this review. 😅
The pie here is so good that it made getting lost in downtown Seattle with nothing but a tourist map worth it.
The clam pizza here would solidified clam's place as a pizza toping for anyone who tastes it. It was wonderfully marinated and complimented by the shredded cheese on top. Every bite was a deliciously savory of happiness. The crust a joy to crunch through almost like the best garlic bread you've ever had in crisp form.
Really looking forward to taking my special other to this restaurant in future visits.
Thank God, I visited on a Tuesday, I can definitely see this place lined up around the corner like Lucali's on the weekend.
Great food and service. The pizza is not traditional, but still delicious.
You must try the olive oil based pizzas. Simply amazing.
Pie (pizza) was DELICIOUS! Great staff, nice atmosphere, clean. Definitely will be back!
Great thin crust pizza. Make sure to ask for the code before using the restroom.
Great service and great pies. We got the seasonal mushroom this time around and were not disappointed. The pies are thin crust but still remain doughy somehow, downright tasty. The mushrooms and cheese come together to create a savory creamy creation that leaves your taste buds wanting more. 20% is added on so you can tip more if you feel inclined but not necessary. Also a good selection of beers for those with some thirst.
All the pies are personal size but you could easily split between 2 people.
Got a pizza to go and it came out fast (roughly 15 min). The pizza itself was amazing. Very fulfilling and the sweet fennel sausage, roasted peppers, provolone ingredients on the pizza were very complimentary of each other. It was a bit greasy and some of the crust was a bit burnt, but that wasn't too much of a problem. I was highly satisfied and would come back again!
SERIOUSLY good salads! Kale salad and Italian chopped salad were to die for @addsomeglamour
This is a great little spot for a wood fired flatbread pizza. Great beer selection and yummy deserts (Coconut cream pie). There is an automatic 20% gratuity applied to your bill but we felt the service warrants it. Would definitely go back next time we are in town.
We knew when we came to Seattle we had to come to Serious Pie, which was on Thrillist.com's Best Pizza in Every State list. We went in on a Thursday and there wasn't too long of a wait - they had benches to sit on, which I appreciate. The staff was super nice, attentive, and created a great atmosphere. It's an intimate place with shared European-style tables and romantic lighting. They had a good selection of drinks, including a berry cider that was there to support Pride month that was pretty good. To start, we ordered the asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with an egg sauce - it was incredible. The asparagus was presented well and cooked perfectly, seared, and the sauce was divine - gingery and mustardy. I wanted to lick the sauce from the plate. For pizza we got the sweet fennel sausage with the red sauce, along with roasted peppers and onions and cheese. Their marinara sauce is really really good - hearty, not too sweet, and obviously homemade. The pizza was a little pricey for the size, but two people could split it, and it was wood fired and so good. The crust was perfect, thin but crispy, and very well flavored. For dessert we had the chocolate bundino, which was a perfect end to the meal. It was like a rich chocolate custard served with biscotti and some salt on top. They also had the option to take many of their alcoholic drinks and turn them into floats, which I really wish I had done. Also, they have a 20% service charge they add to every bill, which I'm a big fan of, because it's nice knowing that their staff is guaranteed a good wage. 10/10 worth a visit for lunch or dinner!!
Good pizza and salads in a small dining area with group tables. No reservations taken, you need to come and wait. Pretty good wine list and a 20% service charge is automatically added. It is a little on the expensive side: 2 pizzas, a salad and a moderate bottle of wine was $130 with service charge but the pizzas had a nice crisp crust and fresh toppings.
The pizza at the Serious Pie is not bad, but really nothing to write home about. The short menu is a good thing, but it doesn't seem to change ever. The 20% service charge seems fair until you read the statement that it's distributed to the team in the form of wages. I always perceived the tips as a gratitude for great service and not as a way to make the menu items look less expensive.
Friends recommended me this place, and it did NOT disappoint! Probably one of the best hand made pizzas I've ever had :) Highly recommended!
The pizza here is good, but at ~$25 a pie I consider it to be a bit too expensive since it only feeds 1 - 1.5 people. Quite honestly given the great reviews I'd expected my mushroom pizza to be tastier than I found it.
What I did absolutely love though was the Tom Douglas coconut cream pie. If you visit this place save room for dessert because that pie does not disappoint!
Loved this place! Cozy atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, and delicious food. The pizzas had the BEST crust and just the right amount of sauce and toppings. I wish this was my neighborhood pizza joint!
I stopped in early, 5:30 pm, for dinner, alone and sat at one of the six place hightops in front. Soon afterward, three other diner were seated with me. I'm OK with community tables. The restaurant was very busy, which is always a good sign!
I ordered the special--olive oil based, apple, pancetta, roasted garlic and mustard greens--and a glass of the house red wine. The service was great, the pizza was delicious and I loved how light the crust was.
I love suitable pizza. There are endless places promoting it but so few that definitely do a great job. I turned into exploring the location taking walks and whilst it got here time for lunch this location got here up
This place is amazing. It's extremely busy and it's no wonder as the food is just amazing. Wait staff are super friendly and very accommodating. Pizza has the right amount of toppings and good size meat chunks. I would recommend this place for anyone who is going to visit Seattle.
Serious Pie kitchen table. Had lunch with the family at Serious Pie. They graciously seated us at the kitchen table where we could watch the dough being kneaded and then tossed. We liked it all. Especially loved the grilled shishito peppers. Favorite pizzas were the potato pizza and the crimini mushroom pizza. The service for our group of nine, including a cranky six year old, was spot on.
The pizza here is seriously good. I had the oyster mushroom pizza and the hubby had the sausage fennel pizza. Pricey but worth it. Definitely recommend.
There was a wait on a Sunday afternoon and boy was it worth the wait. The crust was a perfect balance of crisp and chewy, with seasoning that made it tasty but not overly salty. We had a margarita—great but a little light on cheese—a potato pie (meh) and a pepperoni and sausage which my meal-mates report was outstanding. The servers are friendly and prompt. It’s pricey but worth it.
Super friendly staff and delicious (vegan) pizza options for a great price! I am in the neighborhood pretty often, but this was my first visit. It will not be my last!
Small but decent pizza place with limited seats, food is good, great for family. My kids love the mushroom pizza 🍕 …
love this place... pizza dough is fresh and nice... and like the thin style.... shared table concept is good too....on top of that good local beer selection as well...
An incredible different pizza in a pleasant atmosphere
We were visiting from Chicago and decided to stop in for dinner as many locals recommended we try it. We are picky when it comes to pizza and this was honestly a lot different than what we're used to in a good way. We shared the fennel sausage, roasted peppers and provolone pizza. We loved the crust because it was thin and charred around the edges and had good flavor. The sausage was flavorful and the peppers on the pizza had a seasoning that brought out their flavor. I would recommend if you're hungry to order your own. We wanted something light and with such a thin crust it was perfect to share. Had we been starving we would have left hungry.
Pizza taste was all good and fresh. Price to portion ratio was moderate even for a “nicer” pizza place. Small but intimate setting. There aren’t a lot of tables, but it works. Good ambiance with big windows to the street makes the space feel nice.
They have some pretty creative pizzas here, and are reasonably priced. The wait staff was attentive and the food was delicious.
Went to Serious Pie for a food tasting. The pizza oven was very interesting. A giant Boulder with a hole cut in the center of it to make a great pizza. I tried the Margherita pizza and the mushroom pizza with truffle cheese. Both were good, the mushroom pizza had the edge with a very delicious salt on the crust. Down one star as we didn't get any plates and were eating off napkins.
Really nice place! We ordered the classic margarita pizza and it was an absolute delight. The customer service is also really good. Would definitely recommend!
Was with my boyfriend for a quick lunch, was actually the best pizza I've eaten in Washington state, it's amazing, even if it is like pretty pricey
Highly recommend coming here if you want some great classic pizza in Seattle. The pizza is amazing! By "classic" I mean thinner crust, and fired in a stone oven. The prices are a little steep for a pizza that feeds one person, but the quality far exceeds the quantity here. Each pizza is oval shaped and about 12" by 6". I had the fennel sausage, roasted peppers, and provolone pizza; that was some of the best sausage I have ever had. Then menu is small but concise (seven or eight pizzas to choose from). There's only about 10 tables inside, but the wait at peak time wasn't long for our group of four.
Over-priced & over-rated IMO. Although I loved the thin, crispy crust with a miraculously airy edge, the variety of pizzas is quite limited & there"s only 3 vegetarian options. No doubt the ingredients are fresh & local but you may not get a private table and a 20% tip will be automatically added. For 2 sodas, 1 shared appy and 1 shared pizza, the bill was over $50. If authentic thin-crust is what you're after, save yourself some time & $ and order it to go.
Great wood fired pizza place. The traditional marinara/mozzarella/basil pizza is delicious and light and the mushroom pizza is pack heavy flavors. They also have $7 pizzas during happy hours (M-F 3-5)
Drinks were on point, pizza was fantastic, then dessert, wow! Great service too, what an enjoyable meal.
Great service, great pizza.
Maybe a little too much crust for my liking, but it was still pretty great.
Delicious wood fired pizza. Friendly, quick and attentive service. The limoncello collins cocktail is delightful.
The service here was great, and the pizza was also pretty good. The only minor complaint is that there wasn't much consistency with how well cooked the pizzas are. Mine seemed slightly overcooked, while my brother's was almost burnt. They were very busy, so I don't really fault them.
Still dreaming about this delicious beauty. Can’t wait to come back!!
Pizza are great here. The roasted mushroom and truffle cheese is my fav. A must visit place if you're in town here in Seattle.
A 20% tip is required and included into your bill. The customer service is also good. Refills is not free (that's my only small complaint). Price is sorta on the high
OMG! I never ate a pizza that good in my life. The best ever, try the salad too, it a winner.
The pizza options were not your run of the mill but both pizzas we ordered were fantastic! The cocktails are very good with interesting flavor combinations. Very nice ambiance. Cute date spot and family friendly.
Having lived in Chicago for 50 years I had my doubts. Boy was I wrong, had cheese with pepperoni. Crust perfect and right amount of sauce and veghies.
Variety of tasty personal pizzas on the menu. The dough is less chewy than I would like for Neapolitan pizza, but other than that, it’s pretty good! The place got quite busy when we went on a Friday night, so if you have a plan, you should probably reserve online
Holy moly, did this place ever blow our minds!
Pizzas were obviously delicious. Happy Hour menu was full of great options at super cheap prices. And our server Emily was such a sweetheart.
What I’m really here to tell you about though is the ranch. This isn’t your average dip; you must ask for a side of it! Made in-house, it’s packed with fresh herbs for a powerful punch of flavor. I promise you’ll want to lick the dish clean! (We just may have…)
Probably the best pizza in town. A cozy place with good service. It seems to get pretty busy at times but if you’ve got the time it’s worth joining the waiting list. Of course you could also order for takeaway.
The pizza was amazing, simple but tasty would recommend to anyone visiting downtown Seattle.
Pizza, drinks, and service were great. Loved the pizza crust. Too many places using a strong flavored sourdough base now but Serious does not. Their base compliments the toppings without overwhelming them.
Love the expanded Serious Pie! This time we had the pizza with thin sliced potato. Yummy 😋
Absolutely Delightful! The crust was thin, crunchy and have the perfect chew to it. The thin sauce paired perfectly with the lightly salted crust. We can't wait to dine.
Everything about my visit here was perfect! The wait was 30 minutes shorter than anticipated, the pizza was delicious and the staff was so nice. The waitress actually gave us a free pie at the end of our dinner, my friends and I were so happy she did that!
Great pizza, dessert, and service. Definitely recommend the cannoli's. It is important to show up to the restaurant in time or else they will give up your spot in line for a table.
Great pizza and beer. Friendly service. Pizza is crusty, not Napoli Style.
best thin crust pizzas I have ever had! Great, friendly service!
Amazing thin crust pizza. Unique. Original. Highly recommended.
Fantastic pizza and service. My friend and I visited while we were in town for a conference and couldn't wait to dive into our pies. We only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, which was entirely worth it. If you're into pizza this place is a must visit while you're in town.
Good tasting pizza and salads. Famous around here for good tasting pie, popular for the locals, many branches here, this is a prime location for downtown shoppers.
The food had good flavor, but after eating my pie I left hungry. Not really worth the price. Also once we were sat down, the person behind the bar apologized for never checking back on us, until we were ready for our bill. The restaurant wasn’t busy (no more than 20 people) so I see it as a lack of hospitality. I’d probably wouldn’t come back next time I’m in town. My rating is based on my overall experience. Wasn’t the worst place I’ve been to nor the best.
We had three different pizzas. Each one was unique and delicious. We got to sit in the back which was nice and our server was excellent. I would have given it 5 stats but it was expensive.
This is one of my favorite shops when I'm downtown Seattle
I love the happy hour appetizer menu
And the drinks are always on the point
Very crisp, thin dough. Last few bites where slightly worse due to cooling down from being so thin. But absolutely delicious still!
Not your average pizza place. Definitely worth your time. Take a group, Seriously!
This place is amazing, pizza is delicious we got the Fresh Mozzarella Pizza with a salad. Jellyfish Smack IPA was a great suggestion! Emily gave us an outstanding service! We will need to comeback Seattle to eat at this place again, really nice, delicious and friendly!
Stopped in for a pizza after having another small meal. Good stuff albiet a little expensive. Tips are embedded in the price though so what you see is what you pay. Oh and they have home made ice cream too.
Best pizza I’ve ever had.
I’m a pizza connoisseur and try to find the best pizza in every town I travel to. I’ve been to New York, and have had outstanding pizza in many places. Serious Pie topped everything I’ve ever had.
We made the mistake of showing up starving and had to deal with quite a long wait. I’d normally not have stayed but we didn’t have a backup plan. Very rarely is any good so good that waiting over an hour while you’re hungry is worth it. This was the one instance where it was. I really can’t give a higher recommendation than that.
We started with a salad to get something into our bellies while we waited for our pizzas. It was delicious, perfectly layered flavors in the salad paired with a perfect homemade vinaigrette that complemented the veggies. It was a lentil salad with a citrus vinaigrette but I know this place uses seasonal, local ingredients so your mileage may vary.
My wife went with the Margherita and I went with a seasonal selection for the pizza. The sizes are just right that you can get two pizzas to try different tastes as a couple and not have a huge amount of leftovers.
My wife’s was perfect, the right blend of creamy fresh mozzarella paired with the bright tomatoes and tasty basil. Everything tasted right out of the garden and the crust would have been tasty as an appetizer on it’s own. It has that perfect blend of crunchiness to chewiness ratio. Cooked a perfect slightly more than golden brown.
My pizza was a seasonal selection with caramelized onion, soprasetta, and hot peppers with honey. It was to die for. My wife doesn’t like most veggies or processed meats. She wolfed down her slice that I shared with her. The service was good and the atmosphere was comfortable if a little cramped. But this really isn’t the place you go to if you’re worried about the atmosphere. The food is really the star of the show here.
This place was recommended by a local and the chicken potpie was to die for. Full of flavor and just enough to get you through a chilly day!
Maybe the mushroom pizza just wasn't the one to go with, but I wasn't impressed overall. The crust wasn't my favorite. It was just an ok $25 personal pizza without much flavor.
Server was lovely and pizza was really good; a small menu but everything on it sounded nice. My only complaint is that we didn’t have any napkins or the option for dip for our crusts.
When you walk down the street and can smell the oven baked pizza baking, it's a good sign. It's even a better sign when every single place setting is filled, people are smiling, and just happy. The wait was 45 minutes. There are no reservations. They do take your number and text you. When they do text, you have five minutes or they will give your reservation away. You don't want to miss it! It's worth the wait!
Beet salad with the whiskey cheese was great. It's definitely big enough to share for two. Fresh ingredients with great flavor. Didn't have a strong vinegar or sugar taste. Light and crisp.
The mushroom and truffle pizza was amazing with the local mozzarella! The flavors were amazing. The couples around me all had the same pizza. The dough was chewy and soft in the inside and crunchy on the out. They rolled it out so perfectly that it was never soft. You can taste the wood that they use.
The chocolate desert was a perfect ending. They put a little olive oil and sea salt on it. Mix it all up and crumble the biscotti on top. You won't regret it. Licked that bowl clean! Smooth, dark, and light chocolate mousse will melt in your mouth!
This place is awesome and the pizza and tomato soup omg they are amazing must go and eat there when I seattle
Amazing Mushroom and Truffle Cheese. Had several types. Went during Happy Hour. They do seasonal ingredients. $7.00 for a Happy Hour Pie. Must go👍🌻 …
Their potato pizza was very unique in taste and also the mushroom pizza was perfectly creamy and tasty! The non alcoholic margerita wasn't too good and I regretted ordering that although it looked really aesthetic
We came from El Paso, Texas to visit Seattle in mid May; and as usual we just had to stop somewhere to fill our empty stomachs after a day of sightseeing.
Fortunately for us, being the pizza lovers that we are, we discovered Serious Pie after an uphill walk from Pier 54.
We ordered a pizza margarita and it was definitely the best pizza ever! Flavorful, scrumptious, and simply beautiful even just to look at it! We'll definitely return for more!! 😋😋😋😋😋
Really really good pizza, the buffalo mozzarella was amazing. The mushroom pizza was good, but mozzarella was better
Best pizza around, only downside is rhe price. I would eat this pizza all the time if it wasn't $$$. However you get what you pay for, it is quality delicious pizza!
Staying at the Andra across and easily ordered online. Pie was ready and hot as promised. Great staff! Highly recommend. Coco pie is scrumptious, but $12 steep. Your food cost is 20% at best.
A very good experience. Great pizza.
Save room for coconut cream pie.
Very good pizza, I ordered the mushroom with truffles cheese and it exceed my expectations. They do add a 20% gratuity and most tables are communal sitting.
Fabulous pizza!!! The ingredients were fresh! Great service!! Cute vibe, I loved every minute of our visit! 100% recommend!
This is the best review I have ever given any place in my whole entire life. This review is going to be so good and biased that Serious Pie should highly consider putting this in a magazine. This pizza is heaven.
Your journey has finally ended in the search for the worlds best pizza. Say and think no further, you are at your destination. If you must attempt to find better pizza, you will fail at every attempt in your life. Yes, you are here. You have made it. The best pizza. Some Serious Pie.
My mouth was watering by the mere sight of the sign outside. The smells of the pizza oven made my arm hairs rise. This pizza is 100% magic. I want to know how to make this pizza. The artistry is magnificent. If they cooked the pizza 5 seconds longer, it would not be good; but this is not the case. People, this pizza...oh my...this pizza...I want to BE this pizza.
You need some Serious Pie. Just get it.
**UPDATE: I called to see if they did reservations; sad news is they don't, good news is the lady answered the phone so quick that my phone didn't even get past the first ring. Continually impressed with this place.**
It was a 30 minute wait but was worth it because the pizza and soup were great. The cocktails were yummy too!
Egg and prosciutto pizza was pretty good, but I think I have a slight preference for the margherita pizza.
Very expensive, but the 3-5pm weekday happy hour is $7 for half-size pizza.
We had the morel mushroom pizza. It was absolutely delicious!!! Our waitress was super. So nice and helpful in our ordering!
Seriously amazing. I was skeptical about paying $20 for a smallish pizza, but it was 1000% worth it. I got the mushroom pizza and it was full of intense, rich flavors. Loved it.
I was told by many people to make a stop at this pizza place. We ordered the heirloom tomato & burrata appetizer and then a sausage and roasted red pepper pizza. Both items were delicious and just what we needed after our flight.
If you like crispy thin pizza, this is the place to be. Wait time is usually 10-15 minutes. Order the kale salad or lettuce salad to balance off the meaty pizzas. :) There is a mandatory 20% gratuity.
Waitress and Barman exceptional. Huge salad and delicious interpretation of pizza .
Ordered from the Seattle Restaurant Week menu. Got the Mushroom pizza with the Kale salad & a slice of Coconut cream pie. Kale salad was fresh, pizza had few mushrooms (could definitely have more) Coconut cream pie was soft and sweet. Service was efficient & polite. My pickup was ready on time.
Can I tell you. Emily. Emily was our server and she was FABULOUS!!! She made our experience magical like a Disney princess movie. I knew from the minute we walked in, our experience was gunna be bomb. And she did not disappoint! The food also did not disappoint! Nor did the alcohol! What a fantastic night!
Sat at the bar due to a wait for a table. Great service and pizza!
My second time here and it does not disappoint!!!! The fennel sausage pizza is the best!!! Great service for parents with a 3 year old!
This pizza was tasty, but it really could have been bigger, 12" pizza if it is an oval, is missing some vital surface area, especially at the rates you're charging. The restaurant was so busy when I turned up to order my takeaway, so it is obviously popular. I finished my pizza, with the distinct feeling I had been short changed.
Insane tomato basil pizza! Nostrana, PDX, (Also James beard award chef/owner) serves wood fired pizzas, but apparently ‘magic’ is better delivered here. Not sure if their dough is 48 Hrs aged, anyway, but apart from being over priced at 17$ a pop + 20% gratuity, no qualms!
PS. Nostrana, Pdx is priced at 9$ no tax, tip optional.
So this is easy 65% markup.
Had good pizza, the Margherita pizza and mushroom pizza. Overall though, $20 for a pizza is a bit much, although this is a higher end downtown Seattle restaurant. Based on the atmosphere and taste, I would give it 4 stars. It was missing the wow factor of what would make me amazed. If you want some fancy homemade pizza and have the money to spend, come here for a medium-upper-scale dinner. Otherwise, if you want a pizza night, order the online stuff for a bigger pizza and watch a movie!
Pizza, not bad. Kale salad, way too much cheese but otherwise good. Got the feeling the waitress was trying to hurry us out even though there were tables open but she was nice at least. It's a fine place if you're just trying to grab a bite but I wouldn't particularly recommend this place over others to visiting friends. It's connected to dahlias bakery.
Best crust I've ever eaten. Crunchewy-thin, crunchy, and chewy all at once. Just amazing. Really quick service as well.
Great downtown pizza joint. They make a pretty tasty pizza. Its not a “build your own giant pie” kinda place. You can call Dominos for that. Good and friendly service when I’ve been there.
Hard to get into at certain times as its popular and busy so plan accordingly. Lunch can be tough starting around 11:30
Recommended checking it out at least once!
Tasty pizza, exceptional service, clean and comfortable interior. I shared a fennel sausage pizza with my mom. Is came it hot and prefect shareable size for a quick lunch. Highly recommend.
My wife & I were spending the weekend in Seattle, & after a long night we were anxious to find some decent pizza to take back to our hotel room. Thank god for Serious pie. My wife is from southern Italy and this pizza met her incredibly high standards. The crust was fantastic & the mozzarella was real.
Ordering was easy, pickup took a lil bit longer, but once we got home with the pie & the salad it proved well worth it. Do yourself a favor and order two of these seriously delicious pies.
To add some context to my rating:
I found the pizzas (I ordered 2) to be underwhelming. They were average, but I came in because I wanted some amazing pizza. I tried 4 cocktails and I found all of them to be way too sweet. The staff was very nice though.
This a unique spot that shares a building with a bakery. It was a little confusing upon entering. There was a group of six of us and we were seated at a larger table. Service could have been better. As far as servers go, they didn’t seem understaffed. It just seemed as though the servers were slow and sluggish. We waited about 20 mins before getting a drink order in and then about 20 more mins before getting our drinks (one mixed drink and one bottle of champagne). The pizza took about 40 mins. The pizza was good, but unsure if it was good enough to bring us back in.
Simply Fantastic, made a visit here and was welcomed to friendly fast service and perfect pizza. Nice restaurant to sit and enjoy.
Amazing place you must visit. I think it would be great for date dinner bring your girl here.
The food was really good (one of the best pizza I've ever had) but the service was bad, the waiter kept ignoring us and not once did they ask us about the food or if we needed anything.
The service was great and the cheese pizza with pepperoni was awesome. The coconut cream pie was a real treat and not super sweet, just the right amount. But the best part was the Moscow mule I'd go back just for the drink.
Great service and great food! The prices aren't bad either especially considering the pizzas are fancy and the taste backs it up! I wouldn't make this my go to destination for pizza if I was with a really large group!
MUST TRY THIS PIZZA!! We have eaten pizza all over the U.S. even ask over Italy and this pizza is one of the best we've ever had. We got it takeout to eat at our hotel and it was so delicious and still hot when we came to the upstairs terrace.
The employees were super friendly and we even got a courtesy call that our pizza was running only 10 minutes late than promised! THIS CREW NEEDS A RAISE! THEY WERE SO AMAZING!
THANK YOU!
Nice atmosphere. Great food with a nice beverage selection. Friendly service.
Happy hour is totally worth it. You can try multiple pies!
Ordered to go, sunday night. Place was very busy but food came out right on time.
Its a really good pizza. I was suspect of the provolone cheese idea, but it really works.
Verdict, its as good, but different, from what you'll get on Arthur Ave in the Bronx.
Cool pizza and pie place. The coconut pie was awesome but the whip cream was unnecessary. The pizza was different and soooo mushroomy
Good thin crust pizzas. Seating is comfortable and lighting sets a good mood.
Pizza is great!!!! I like the mushroom one very much!! The happy hour is in good value, $6for half size pizza.
Great atmosphere nice and warm inside on these cold nights. Just a little over priced for the size of pizza you get.
I went while travelling alone, and the staff did not judge me one bit hahaha Plus the pie was great! Perfectly made and paired with a lovely wine.
Seattle's best pizza!
Fresh ingredients, great ambience and friendly service.
Yummy buffalo mozzarella pizza! Loved the house made pepperoni! Their house made grape soda was very tasty!!! So glad we stopped in on a rainy evening for dinner!
The Sweet Fennel Sausage was out of this world! 10/10 would eat here again!!!! Service was ask amazing!
Fresh, delicious ingredients that make for a fantastic pizza. The salads are also good. Serious Pie is definitely worth a visit.
Delicious, definitely one of the freshest pizzas I've ever eaten.
This pizza is super!!! Good price for high quality and everything with the best ingredients! Buonissima!!
Very kind staff and delicious pizza. There are few community tables, so you might have to wait to get seated in rush hours.
Food was delicious. I chose the weirdest sounding pizza I could find, and I was not disappointed. Be prepared for small sizes when ordering appetizers.
It is a very popular place in downtown Seattle. We had to wait for ~30 mins to get pizza. Great quality pizza and worth trying different varieties of it. Overall I was satisfied with customer service.
The communal seating is unusual at first, and the pizzas are not standard, but they are great! I forget which one I had, but it was one of the tastiest pizzas I've had in a long time.
Very nice thin crust and wood fired pizzas. Toppings were perfect.
For me, this pizza restaurant was lit. I’m pretty much delighted in tasting every flavor of pizzas they served. All of it was delicious. It made me feel so honored that I tasted their specialty. Besides, the crews were nice, kind, and decent. They were showing the smiles on their faces as they served their customers. Because of their outstanding service, they made me reflect on myself that I should keep on coming back for more. Thank you. Till next time!
Sat at the bar (first come first serve) had great service and our food came out very quickly. You can not make reservations for small groups (under 6) and must do so at open table for larger parties. We got two pizzas and two apps for three people and had enough food. Pizzas come in one size.
Really good Neapolitan Pizza Margherita!
Wow! Best pizza in Seattle! Everything on the pizza, including the buttery crust is seriously delicious and savory. The pizza really starts the party in my taste buds. Thank you Valerie for the great service! I highly recommend it, y'all!
We stoped because we thought that with their name the pizza must be good . And we were right. They are also awesome people. My wife didn't want to sit indoor so they set up our own table outside. It was so nice and we loved our night out.
Thanks everyone at SERIOUS PIE
Neno and Leah
We came here on a rainy evening. There was a line up but we got in quickly. The pizzas were the best thing we ate on our Washington/Oregon road trip. Highly recommend!
I had the daily special pizza and coconut pie. Both were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is intimate and the staff is wonderful. I would happily eat here again to try all their pizza creations!
Very yummy pizza and it is a different experience. They make sure veggies from the farm are put in the pizza and aroma is just right. Would like to come back again
Really different crust on the flat bread pizza. Tasty and kind of flakey.
Great pizza and salads. Really enjoyed it!
Definitely LOVE the Tom Douglas pizzas! Yes they're a bit expensive, but they're SO well made with frequently changing fresh ingredients (often from their OWN farm) that it's SUPER worth it. The pie crusts are very light, yet still have just the right amount of chewy-ness, instead of just being a super crunchy dry dough. You KNOW that you're going to get a consistently WELL made and well cooked pizza pie when you come here, they definitely pay attention to their quality and details and cook you a great pie! If you're a local and haven't been, you gotta try - and if you're a visitor you gotta come in for a great pizza from our iconic Seattle chef.
These are more artisanal pizzas with interesting toppings. Read the menu in advance. They will make adjustments if needed if there is a topping you don't want or can't have. The crust is thin and crunchy which I love. I could eat the crust by itself with some marinara for dipping.
So good! The pizzas were amazing. Had to take a pizza to go for later! Had a few cocktails bartender was great. Wait staff attentive and funny. Absolutely recommend this spot for some good pizza.
Delicious, crispy crust thin pizza. I had the sausage, seasoned well but not overboard. But the best thing was the coconut cream pie for dessert. Literally the best I’ve ever had.
Real good cocktails and pizza. The staff was super friendly and attentive.
Good decent pizza.
Ohhhhhh man this place has the best crust. Just like straight up. I don't even know what to recommend because it's all amazing. Even just the simple cheese pizza is on a different level. I got an appetizer which to be honest I was skeptical about: green garbanzo beans. As a cook this dish inspired me to thin about salads differently. What an experience. I'll be sure to come here whenever I'm in Seattle.
Margarita (add on cherry pepper) and Mushroom pie are delicious
Here is my European/Italian perspective: Great Pizza and freakingly good coffee/espresso
Great to get this quality of pizza outside Italy. Prosciutto and asparagus pizza was a perfect lunch, great friendly and helpful service, and top rating as a consequence.
Fantastic hand made pizza pies, happy hour made prices even better, but they are excellent anytime. Good house brew beer to match pizza as well. 👍👍 …
Excellent pizza good for vegetarians and meat eaters. Try the edamame salad and the chocolate budino desert. They also have the famous Dahlia bakery coconut cream pie.
Desserts are really good.. and only dessert open in downtown by 2 am. But always full so if you are looking to dine in u are going to have to wait for long time.
Really good pizza! I would recommend this pizza joint!
Best pizza pie ever!!! The service, the ingredients, the atmosphere was amazing. Very intimate, high seating, accommodates children as well. I never knew what real pizza tasted like, until I came here...I can never go back to mediocre pizza. My husband and I had the mixed greens as a starter and the mushroom/ truffle cheese as a main. Worth every cent.
The most Balanced Tasty Pizza I have ever had.
Best pizza I've had outside of NY. Very thin but crispy crust. Try the fennel sausage pie.
Never not delicious. Each each pizza is a bit unique and outside traditional offerings, but all are absolutely fantastic I highly recommend the fennel sausage or seasonal brussel sprout pizzas.
Great location in the heart of the downtown hotel district. Very nice atmosphere with fabulous pizza and plenty of drink choices.
One of the best pizza spots in Seattle! My only problem eating here is that I my stomach can only handle so much, but I wanted more. I highly recommend trying this place with a few friends to try all the different choices. Each one is unique, flavorful, and leaves you wanting more.
The pizza in this restaurant was excellent. I love my first visit to your shop, for I had found out that the place was a very nice, clean, and beautiful view. The waiter also served me with respect and confidence. Besides, my overall experience with this restaurant was remarkable and amazing. I do love it with all of my heart. Till next time!
Was excited to try the new larger space. (8/15/22) Overall, pretty good but if I'm being honest, the pizza was a disappointment from previous visits. Both of ours were smaller than usual, slightly underdone, and missing whatever magic they add to the edge of the crust (oil/spice?) And the pizzas took a LONG time. It seems as if the new kitchen wasn't keeping up with the larger demand, and things were rushed. Hopefully it was a fluke! Pretty sure if Tom were to examine what we were served last night, he wouldn't have been proud of those pies. Regardless, we're rooting for you.
We went to Serious Pie for my husband's work celebration. They did not disappoint! The crust was homemade, thin & crispy. We shared five different pizzas & the flavors of each were delicious! They also had a nice selection of beer. Try the coconut pie for dessert...you will be so happy you did! We will definitely return to Serious Pie for pizza.
Very good pizza, the crust is amazing. Highly recommend the mushroom & truffle pizza. Take out order was quick, just seemed a little pricey.
Incredible pizza and very friendly staff. Not a ton of options, but everything is so good that you don't even need it. Would recommend making reservations if planning on going Friday or Saturday evening.
Pizza is just tasty! No need of any dipping sauces... The flavors are so satisfying! Strongly recommend!
A fantastic pizza place on the west coast! I bring all my friends here. Seasonal dishes that tempt and treat the palate. The service is great, and the food is excellent. Beautifully cooked pizzas every time. Such creative toppings that keep us coming back to try more! I had one of my first shrubs here. It is a drinking vinegar. So delicious! Now every restaurant I go to I ask if they have shrubs. The desserts look amazing, and I have heard that they are fantastic, especially the cream pies. If you love pizza, please do yourself a favor and head over to Serious Pie!
I liked the pizza but a little oily.
Serious pie is a hip little pizza shop. We stopped by after our walk from the Space Needle and saw it had good reviews. The menu is a one pager with about 10 different pizzas available for purchase. All the pizza are one size which feeds about 1 to 2 people. There is an automatic 20% surcharge when you receive the bill. We ordered the buffalo mozzarella. I would also recommend getting some house made pepperoni added to the pizza. The service was excellent and food was really good. The establishment was really clean. The only downfall is the the cost of the pizza and drinks. Our bill came to 40.00 with tip when we ordered a pizza and a beer. Overall the experience was pleasant and would recommend it to our friends but with a warning.
Great place for a bite to eat. Delicious speciality wood fire pizza
Good happy hour! Small portion pizzas to try and good drinks
One of the best tasting pizza I ever had. They added some secret sauce that made it incredible delicious.
And the best was the guy - I guess the chief of staff. Actually they already had closed, but he managed it to still serve us, thank you so much 😄
One of the best pizza pies that I ever had.
The dough is crunchy on the edges with perfext thickness in the middle.
Try the pizza with potatos!
Delicious flatbread type pizza. Mozzarella one was on point
The mushroom pizza was great, highly recommended.
This place is very cozy and accommodating. The pizza is delectable.
Just want to share what a great experience me and my friends had at Serious Pie tonight. Erin served our table of ten with grace and efficiency,! Food was delicious and I really appreciated Erin’s patience with our.group ordering drinks sporadically and her ability to keep everything straight.
The pizza dough is the best I've ever had! This is a very good pizza place, but very expensive. The place is packed and has had good reviews. I ordered the margarita pizza which is the first pizza on the menu. It was good, although they didn't put on enough cheese. That was a little disappointing. The thing I noticed about the pizza is the dough. It is so light, almost airy and delicious. It's not chewy or tough to bite, but is perfect. This is probably the thing that stood out the most. The dough/crust is really amazing. The service is pretty good and they add a 20% service charge to every meal. This 20% goes to the employees and their benefits. This pizza, the house made ginger ale, which was really good, cost $33 for just me.
Serious Pie may not need another review but it's my favorite pizza place, and one of my top 5 restaurants in Seattle, so I'm putting finger-to-keyboard.
Serious Pie makes artisan pizzas in a wood-fire brick-oven that creates charred, thin crust dough that is light, crispy, and delicious. The toppings are simple, unexpected, and delightful. I've never had a pie I didn't like though some can be a bit saltier than others. My hands-down favorite is what old timers know as the Cherry Bomb, know known as the Sweet Fennel Sausage.
Light eaters can get away with one pizza for two with a side but most folks will want their own. Besides, multiple pies means sharing and there are lots of great flavors to try. Don't let the ingredients intimidate you. Never had clams on a pizza? Trust Tom. Just do it. Also, because their pizzas are are smaller and lighter than the typical doughy disaster, you won't find them too filling. The side dishes are always fresh and seasonal, and the desserts are flavorful without being too sweet or heavy.
Back when things were normal, this place offered a more European, communal dining experience. Large tables seated 8 people but were usually split among smaller parties and wasn’t uncommon for one table to have group of four and two parties of two seated together. Not anymore of course. It’s takeout for the foreseeable future. But even so, Serious Pie is fantastic. So go and get some pie!
Very good! Serious pie has many interesting flavors to try. It's good for groups, their service is good.
The clam pizza is not for everyone, but 3/4 of our group liked it. The sausage& red bell pepper pizza is a must. Often times there's a wait. Loved it!
Best pizza in the Seattle area. I’m a pizza fanatic and this is my favorite place to grab a pie. The quality of ingredients is exceptional. The selection is relatively small but covers everything from traditional to experimental. I bring all out of town guests here because you’re guaranteed a great experience.
I absolutely LOVE Serious Pie. They're pizza is so good. The Margherita is hands down the best one.
Enjoyed a couple cold drafts and pizza. Good service and food right across from Hotel Andra
Got the egg and prosciutto. Wonderful pie. Thin and crispy crust and they had it ready in less than 10 minutes.
Great food. We ordered the buffalo mozzarella, the mushroom, and the sausage. Everything was delicious and the server was very attentive. They were super busy when we arrived but it was totally worth the wait. If you like a good wood fired pizza, I'd highly recommend this place. Good local beer selection too!
If you're serious about pizza, this is worth the stop. The Sweet Fennel Sausage pizza was seriously delicious. And in all seriousness, they have a decent selection of beer and wine, too.
Great pizza, good service. Recommend
Really delicious!! Haven’t ate this delicious pizza before~~will come back soon
Delicious! Great crust. Simple & Tasty ingredients
My wife said the absolute best pizza she ever had.
Good red wines. Perfect crust. Music selection okay but not too loud. Cozy atmosphere. Every bite was pure enjoyment. Dessert was great. Appetizer was great. The smell when you walk in - mmmmmm. It was he best Pizza I ever had too ;-)
Great server - Scott
Roasted oyster mushroom pizza, pepperoni pizza, beet salad, mixed salad--ALL great. Wish they had serious pie in my hometown.
My family's favorite. Great place to gather with friends. So many pizzas to try. The salads are unique too. Last time I was there we tried the chianti, which was wonderful.
Really good pizzas and decent prices for them
Really loved my experience. The crust is awesome with some extra sea salt sprinkled on top. The pizzas are meant for one person and you can add the house pepperoni to any pie. Great flavor through the sauce, not too much cheese, fresh topings... this play is wonderful.
Great service and great food!! The prices aren't bad either especially considering the pissas are fancy and the taste backs it up. I wouldn't make this my go to destination for Pie if I was with a really large group tho!
Great atmosphere and incredible food. Shared three pizzas between our group and loved all three of them. Our favourite was definitely the sausage...so much so that we ordered a second to keep us going. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Can honestly say it is near the top of my list now for pizza restaurants.
Very kind and friendly people and the pizza is even better.
Great place, a little small, but quite cozy with high wooden tables that can be used to be shared with others. The pizzas are great, nice, thin, with a little chew. The classical margherita is available but so are some other great options. Friendly service, but what gets me is the mandatory 20% tip. What if the service was terrible? You shouldn't be forced to pay, it's a tip, not a fee!
Great atmosphere, it feels very cozy, quite and warming. The menu is different, if you're looking for a slice of pepperoni pizza, you've come to the wrong place. They seem to have taken care with their menu to make sure that the ingredients are far out there, yet they work together very well. If you are the adventures sort, just have whatever the special is, it won't disappoint.
The front desk at our hotel recommended this place and we are so very glad they did! We popped in for some late night dinner and drinks. The restaurant was cozy and busy, but we didn't have to wait too long for a table. We ordered the margherita pizza and added salami, as well as the fennel sausage pizza. Both were wonderful, the crust was the best I've ever had and the toppings were fantastic. Quality ingredients make a huge difference, this is not your typical cheap doughy pizza! We enjoyed some tap beer and ciders as well that were delicious. 10/10
Wham bam, thanks for the clam (pie). Super crisp crust, great toppings, excellent service.
Expensive place! Casual ambiance, good for catching up with friends or a date.
Their pizzas are tasty though. Thin crust so you don't feel guilty. I especially like their potato pizza. Two pizzas are sufficient for 3 people with average diets.
During peak hours, they are very busy. They might have long wait times so plan well. They also make you sit next to other guests on a long table, so it might feel a bit awkward for example if you are sitting next to a couple on a date!
Worth trying once, but slightly expensive to make it my go-to place.
Amazing. Was a busy night, hostess made accommodations to get us in. We where celebrating our daughters birthday and Ariel made her night. Pizza was fantastic and so was the corn. Great service and great food.
Stopped in here to try some local Seattle pizza. This is not the traditional pizza I'm used to. I guess it was more thin crust style. We tried a mushroom pizza thing. I also had a beer. The pizza and beer went very well together. The pizza was good, just not the traditional pizza I'm used to. The ambience of the restaurant was nice and chill. Service was nice and welcoming.
The service here is always great and is one of my favorite pizza places in Seattle. There is a great vibe with the almost cabin like feel.
I stopped in after the lunch hour - not at all busy. I had the sausage and pepper pizza, which was excellent. Very tasty crust as well. One of the better thin crust pizzas I've had. Not cheap but you do usually get what you pay for. Recommend.
Excellent pizza but I may have enjoyed the starters and desserts even more? Nah. I normally don't go for untraditional pizzas but other than the egg pizza everything we ordered awesome. They are light on the sauce but so much flavor in all the ingredients and the crust was cooked perfectly.
We got to Serious Pie as a party of 6 with no reservation on a Saturday night, but the staff was very nice and made effort to take care of us anyway. the place is nice and chill, and Service was A+ in terms of speed, sympathy and patience. We shared 2 appetizers and 4 pizzas and the overall amount of food was perfect. Pizzas are unique and tasteful and the price seemed absolutely appropriate (18-20$/pizza). We really liked this place!
Pizza was delicious! Wish they were a bit bigger tho for the price but definitely worth it. We got tomato basil cheese pizza which had the tastiest red sauce I have ever tasted (and I eat a lot of pizza) and we got a mushroom pizza with a garlic oil base. Both delicious! Also try their desserts. You will not be disappointed
Wonderful pizza and very nice and cozy place. pizza prices vary between 20 , and the service is wonderful.
Love this place! The pizza is incredible. You could eat the crust plain and enjoy it. The menu remains largely static for years yet still feels adventurous. Beer selection is great and the appetizers I've tried have all been great. The South Lake Union location is larger and much easier to get into than the original. The happy hour half pizza is a great value if you're not starving and need an early bite.
Delicious pizza! This places has an awesome pizza happy hour. My small group of friends were able to taste all the different specialty pizzas and fell in love with the quality and great variety. Truffle cheese will blow your mind.
Delicious. The crust was bubbly and just a little salty, nice, and the olive oil had a great taste. We ordered two pies for 3 & it was the perfect amount. Nice beer and wine list. Good service. Had to wait for a table on a Tues. Call ahead.
Pizza was good, could have used more cheese. Hard pass on the float though. Wasnt a fan of the ice cream used
I ate here YEARS ago, I think it was 2018 and the pizza was so good I still remember it. So good.
The pizza here is amazing! Eaten here many times since moving to Seattle and have never been disappointed. It's one of the first places I take people visiting from out of town. My personal favorite is the sweet fennel sausage pizza, but you really can't go wrong with anything off the menu.
I've been to alot of pizza place's. Pizza is my favorite food, so when I tell you they have some of the best pizza I've EVER had, I mean it!! So flavorful, sauce is amazing, crust is delicious. Apparently they import the cheese from Italy, it tastes it! Just tastes so fancy and fresh!! Highly recommend!! Alittle pricey, but I'd go at happy hour, Its a pretty good deal!
Serious Pie knocked it outta the park! We did have a rather long wait, not at the fault of Serious Pie, it was just a busy weekend night. They have a great local beer selection and the pizzas are the perfect size - just enough that each person can order their own and not feel too stuffed. the Flavor/ingredients are out of this world. If this is the ONLY place I go to next time I visit Seattle, I would sleep happy.
Enjoy that this pizza actually has flavor, including the sauce, which is atypical for Seattle. It still lacks traditional qualities in pizza 🍕 like the shape and crust is odd but still good. …
I used to love this place but the quality and portion sizes have definitely decreased over the years. For $20, what used to fill 2 people hardly fills 1. The pizza is about 30% crust. They also charge a mandatory 20% on all charges. It is also REALLY loud in here, so don't bother coming here for a meeting. Not my favorite pizza place by a long shot.
The first pizza place I went after moving to Seattle, allegedly the best pizza place in town. I really like the fennel sausage pizza, have had it for multiple times, cozy and convenient. The wait time is around 15 minutes, so either call ahead or take advantage of closeby places and take a walk. ;)
I'm not a big fan of thin crust pizza so thats why the 4 stars but the service and the structure are amazing! 5 stars service!
I love this place. We were a party of 8 for Saturday lunch.
All the dishes were fine, the pizzas good but a couple of dishes had an overabundance of sliced onion which put two diners off trying the side dishes. I am OK with onion and enjoyed the dishes. We only drank water and had no desserts yet the cheque was around $240 which for a pizza each and sharing three starters , no wine or desserts I thought was expensive.
I love every bite of my Margherita pizza at Serious Pie! The crust is thin yet it has an awesome crunch in it. The cheesiness and sauce are just right and they added spiced seasoning to the pizza. Price for the pizza is expensive but I believe it is worth giving a try.
Just ate here and loved it! The carrot app was great and my girlfriend and I both enjoyed our pizzas (sausage and potato ones). But that coconut cream pie is next level!
There pizza is delicious. It tastes very fresh and well-made. I personally prefer there margarita, but most of there other pizzas are pretty good too. One thing though, they don't put enough cheese on their pizza, so its mostly just sauce.
Fresh hot wood fire 🍕 PIZZA ! Tasty salads & apps, sit down indoor/outdoor dining. Friendly staff, wonderful & warm aesthetic in space known as Dahlia Lounge. Attached to bakery, ask about coco pie & espresso drinks ☕
Decent pizza. Portions are sparse for both appetizers and pizzas. Service and decor is like a casual diner but the prices belonged to a more upscale joint. I am probably used to better food, nicer decor and service at similarly priced local joints. For my taste, I would consider this place if I was looking for a pizza fix and was here at the time. I would not come here looking for the pizza fix.
Good food, great atmosphere good people will be back again....
Pizza is great here! If this is your first time they could give recommendation (try the margarita and the mushrooms, both are great!).
This place could get crowded so it’s better to make a reservation (or wait from 10 to 40 minutes).
They charge you for the 20% of gratitude (no questions).
We came here because of the great reviews and found it to be just okay. The price doesn't match the quality of the pizza unfortunately. The pizza was good, just not as good as the cost was. The crust is great but the toppings are so few that a slice might not even have all of them on it. The root beer was good but super spendy for a soda. The whole experience was just okay.
Great place for rustic wood fired pizza. They have classic pizzas like the fennel sausage and peppers, as well as for adventurous pizzas like the eggs & prosciutto. Service a pretty quick. Like the shared tables. You never know who who will sit next to. Nice to to go is between lunch and dinner time. Usually minimal to no wait.
Good food, fast service. Busy at lunch time, but at 11:30 am, it was quiet and ideal. Server was super friendly, and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. 11"-ish pizza was hot and fresh, good ingredients, cheesy, but not overly so, and cut into small pieces for easy eating or sharing. 2 or 3 people can split a pizza as served for snacks, but with the thin crispy crust, one hungry person can polish one pretty easily. Enjoy it!
Very nice place to eat!! I lived in Italy for two years and since I had been back I hadn’t found a pizza that was even close to that of the Italians until today. Cooked to perfection. Fun staff, very personable. The smell will almost knock you over as you come in the door. Delicious!!!
Awesome pizza. Have always loved a rosemary and potato pairing but wanted meat as well so added sausage. Yum!!
Service was a little slow, we had a group of 10 so that was part of it, but seemed to have a single server for the entire upstairs.
Good stuff though. Will definitely come back.
Very limited menu and a bit pricey. Pizza was ok.
Delicious mushroom pizza! Very delicious. Waitress was really nice and attentive. Had good kid's menu. Atmosphere was good. Seemed very popular as we had to wait for a table, but not too long. A little pricey, but seems reflected in quality.
The pizza is pretty good, be advised that the crust is extremely thin and crispy.
The happy hour offers 6 inch pizzas for 7 dollars. Please keep in mind that you get about three times the amount of pizza if you order the standard size. The price to pizza ratio is much, much better if you just get a standard pie. Though the happy hour sizes can be good value if you are just interested in trying multiple types of pizza.
I went here with four kids aged 8-13. After arriving around 5:30 and putting our name on the list, we were seated 20 mins later.
They have communal tables, and so we were seated with someone else. This was a cool experience for us, but my not be what everyone is looking for.
We ordered two pizzas, one margarita, and one with mushroom and mozzarella. The mushroom pizza may have been the best pizza I've ever eaten.
Seriously, this pizza was amazing. The mushrooms had a great flavor, and were perfectly cooked. The crust was thin and crunchy, and the cheese and sauce complemented the mushrooms wonderfully.
Based on the reviews, I had high expectations on the quality of the pizza here. I was completely blown away.
Highly recommended.
We got the sweet fennel sausage pizza and Buffalo mozerella pizza. Both were pretty good but I had to add a bunch of red pepper to get the taste profile I enjoy. Be careful when you get to the crust as they put a healthy dusting of salt. A normal person should be able to eat an entire pizza on their own. I can't recommend the ginger ale or cherry soda as they tasted very watered down.
We are quite serious about pizza, but these folks take it to another level. Incredible pizza and incredible service. Accommodating and friendly. A great restaurant experience. Will be back! (Maybe tomorrow!)
We stopped here for some shade during the pride parade. Very friendly bar staff. Food looked good, we just didn't eat
Certainly no complaints of Serious Pie. It may not be the best pizza ever eaten but it was unsurprisingly delicious and I ate every bite. Their salads are all delicious but small so don't expect to share...unless you get two. I would say each pizza serves 2 people with a salad. The crust is chewy yet has that crunch and smoky wood fire flavor you want. The topping are the right portions and they have some very interesting flavor combinations as well as traditional toppings. We tried the sausage and pepper and the egg and arugula and I have to say that I loved the egg pizza. Both were delicious though. The staff were friendly but fairly hands off, allowing us to socialize and eat. The tables are long communal tables and the dining room is small, both I was not expecting but were not a drawback at all in my opinion.
Wonderful food. We had the fennel sausage pizza and it was glorious. Their homemade ginger ale was also great. Probably the best soft drink I have ever had. Environment was a little loud but that's no biggy. Community table type setting.
Delicious and very inventive pizzas. Don't come here expecting your average meat lovers or Hawaiian pizza, but every option on their menu is great. I recommend trying the rosemary potato pizza (it sounds odd, but it's great).
The restaurant is small and very crowded. We were seated in the middle of 2 other parties where the small tables were pushed in together; we weren't told prior that we had to share a table. It was really awkward and unpleasant experience. Ordered the $20 sweet funnel sausage pizza. The pizza was a medium size, crust was thin and burnt. The sauce was good but they were really stingy on the amount of sausage they put on the pizza. If you want pepperoni, its additional $4. No tipping, 20% service charge is automatically added to the bill.
Really great flavor on the mushroom pizza. The buffalo mozzarella was really great too. Not usually a fan of places that go to far out of the way to be fancy. I think this hits the right marks for someone looking for an elevated pizza.
They have very delicious pizzas but im sorry to say it depends on who makes them. Some really make your pie with love and you can so taste it in your pie! Others not so much and makes it feel not worth the price.
Visited this place while in Seattle for business. It was pretty busy on a Saturday evening. Modest sized dining room and small waiting area, enough for six. Service was prompt, pizza was excellent. We had the sausage pizza and it had a nice spicy taste, crispy crust, and slight smoky hint. Very good all around.
Service good... pizza good... coconut pie Good... A great friendly place to eat great pizza and finish it off with a triple coconut cream pie...
It takes serious crust to claim you have serious pie, and that's what they deliver to your table 😋 Jokes aside, it's the best pizza in the downtown area.
Tried the squash pizza, which was great (would have liked a little more goat cheese). Chocolate peanut butter tart was yummy. Serveice was friendly and quick.
Very good spot for thin crusted pizza with light toppings and bold flavor. The salad was unique as it lacked any traditional greens and a little small but certainly worth sharing and the pizza's should be shared as well. One pizza could do for an individual, but with their variety and quality, it would be a shame to not try a couple. I would recommend the spicy fennel sausage, the mushroom, and the buffalo mozzarella. It was a bit pricey, but for good food in a unique spot it was worth it. They include tip into the meal as well which was appreciated. Sitting at the long tables could be annoying to some customers who would prefer a private experience, but we were able to swap stories with some tourists next to us and it added to the experience.
My friend and I shared a Yukon Gold and a Margarita pizza and they were both incredibly delicious. The crust was perfect - thin, doughy and crisp at the same time. The Yukon Gold pizza sounds weird, but is actually delicious and is always on the menu here.Seating is almost at communal tables - if you come in as a couple you are almost guaranteed to be sitting next to strangers.
Another great place! We happened to 'stumble' upon on our way back to the train. It was late and we just wanted a 'slice' of pizza when we found Serious Pie.
We ordered the roasted seasonal mushroom with truffle cheese pizza. It was the perfect size for two people, and absolutely delicious!
This place is a must try!
I think this place is a bit over hyped. I think that if you're a bit more explorative with pizza flavors then it's great but sometimes it's hit or miss. Either the cheese is too strong or overwhelms the pizza or the appetizers aren't worth the price. But their regular menu is worth a shot. They have a fennel and sausage pizza that I really enjoy
We stopped here on our last night in Seattle and it was a perfect low key spot. They have several local beers on tap and creative pizzas on the menu. The service was wonderful and very helpful! The wait was about 15 minutes and well worth it!
Okay, this is two places in one that share a common thread of awesomeness...their bases. The dough for the pizzas and the biscuits for their sandwiches in plain form are worth the trip alone. Adding cheese and the variety of toppings just makes a good thing better. I would caution that if you are looking for the usual pizza and beer laid back vibe, this isn't the place. The price points are a little high and the atmosphere elevated.
At the recommendation of a good friend, this was my first stop in Seattle. This spot is a gem! I had a great view of the kitchen, watching the pizzas bake in the wood-fired oven added to the experience. These pizzas are delicious, handmade, and generously topped. The variety of cheeses used on each pizza was a great surprise! Not the typical mozzarella or Parmesan you are use to, but delicious artisan goat, sheep, and cow milk cheeses. I was also excited by a great selection of beer, not a massive intimidating list, but a well selected assortment.
I can't wait to return and try out the whole menu!
I was in town for the week for vacation, and I walked by this place to give it a try. Their morel, cremini, and truffle pizza intrigued me, so I decided to get it that night. Best pizza I have ever had! It was simply an incredible mix of flavors with plenty of delicious morels. I came back two more nights just to order it again!
Walked in late, ~40 minute before closing time, on a Monday evening for a quick dinner. I expected the pizza to be good. It is really, really good. But what made the experience even better was the professional, engaging and downright friendly person taking my order and taking care of me while I was there. I was the last person to leave, so I closed the place. But I did not feel rushed or uncomfortable at all. I strongly recommend this place for the food, but also for the all too uncommon customer focused service model
Pizza so good we ordered a second.
It's seriously unbelievable. The crust was hearty and not just some flimsy layer of dough like most wood fired pizzas. The flavor of the crust and buffalo mozzarella was divine. 5 stars is the easiest decision I've made all day.
For ten years now, any time I've visited Seattle I've been sure to stop in to Serious Pie. They serve up my favorite pizza in the Pacific Northwest, and that's coming from someone who's done a five year stretch making great pizza elsewhere. There's not a bad choice on the menu. Great for dinner, fantastic experience bringing in newbies as well.
A great little restaurant on our last night in Seattle....pizza was perfect. The staff were great and it's a place where you can share your table with others ...if you are happy to. Wow... to the lovely couple from Vegas who we shared with....who so kindly paid for our pizza! You are very generous. We thank you and hope we can return the favour when you visit NZ.
The best pie I have EVER had. The toppings are good, but it is the crust that elevates it to a celestial level. Best crust ever, and has ruined me for any other pizza crust for the rest of my life. I am a fanatic for great crust, and Serious Pie's IS. Crisp on the outside, chewy and bubbly on the inside. And even the middle is crisp, so you can actually pick it up! (Unlike some gourmet pizzas in town). Our server Joseph was wonderful too. Service was fast and friendly! My husband had the sausage & pepper pizza, and I had the clam. Both delicious! Kale salad starter was good too.
Unique pizzas with light crispy crust. Stone oven baked. You have to select from standard pizzas. Can't customize other than adding pepperoni. Happy hour $7 half-sized pizzas. You can mix and match and try a few types.
