Reviews of Lost Lake Cafe & Lounge
Maggie Kabbeko
I’m posting this because another reviewer took pictures that did not accurately reflect the vibe, atmosphere, and decor of this true diner. It’s warm, cozy, and the people who work here are laid back, and friendly. They work to make your order just what you want (within their ability). We are here every morning we were in Seattle. The food, service, and ambience was excellent, especially when considering the great prices. Do yourself a favor and visit this gem if you are in the neighborhood!

I got the chicken (country?) fried steak and it was top notch. The fried steak breading was phenomenal! The gravy was also killer to top it all off. The hashbrowns had a buttery flavor to them, which was a nice surprise. Scrambled eggs and toast were also great. Our waitress had only been there a few days and did a fantastic job taking care of us. The price was also very fair for the portions we got. This was my first time visiting here.. I'll definitely be making more frequent visits!!!!

Great place to have a cocktail and a bit to eat. The waitress was awesome friendly and offered suggestions. The food was fresh and tasty. Cute outdoor seating available also. Surprised at how busy it was for 1030am on a weekday all the indoor seating was taken we got the last table!

We arrived around 1 pm here for brunch on Saturday. We didn't had any reservations and needed to wait for 5 minutes as the place was full. We ordered their special crust sandwich, vegetarian huevos rancheros and lost lake french toast. I like all of the food except for salt and spicy. It was a bit bland for me even when i told them to make it a bit spicy. Otherwise the prices are nominal and plenty of vegetarian options.

Delicious! Lost lake had some amazing food. I am a southerner and I loved the biscuits and gravy! The service was pretty good and the restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere. A great place to relax for a nice brunch in Seattle. I would definitely recommend!

Charming decor with a lot of character, this place has great ambiance. However, my hash browns, biscuits and gravy arrived barely lukewarm (with the exception of the eggs). This is a red flag and clearly dangerous for any one to consume. Services and prices were on par with what you'd expect. All in all, nothing special and wouldn't go back because they don't follow food safety standards.

Absolutely delicious chilaquiles! Salsa was super flavourful and not too spicy. Eggs were perfect and liked the addition of avocado and quest fresco. Yum!!

The server seems to be helpful. They have a bar-light side and a dine-light side, which is kinda cool. The food might be the least items there. Try other food items if you feel audacious. I was there to try the Thanksgiving dinner. Maybe the regular is better

Not worth the visit. My hotel trended this as a diner. Inside it was kind of bleh, but, guess that's the diner feel. Expected better.
Place was super clean. Employees were constantly cleaning. Service was polite but cold / indifferent. Burger was really boring. Fries were decent, but not great.
You can definitely skip this place. Any other place would have better food and warmer service.
Only the I would eat here again was if everything was closed and it was the last place left.
Portion was a good size.
Nice music.

This is one of my favorite places in Cap Hill. The menu has variety, and also they have specials.
The staff is friendly, and you don't have to wait hours for the food.
I also like the tables out and the cozy ambiance inside.
#petfriendly

Warm mid-century decor and funky music create a very intimate, relaxing diner vibe. Got French toast, bacon, and eggs, and it was excellent. Especially the bacon! Definitely coming back, I want to eat everything on their breakfast menu 😋

Nice place with good food. This was fairly busy but since we sat at the counter, we got a seat pretty fast. The service was prompt and fast and they need vaccination card hard or soft copy works. I took the spicy chicken sandwich with the soup of the day which was tomato soup. The soup was okay not too great and the sandwich was good. It had the right amount of kick. I really like their rosemary baked potatoes. It hit the right note and balance of flavor.

Lost Lake Cafe & Lounge is a great little place to get some fancy breakfast/lunch. Took a while to get seated despite being slow and the coffee wasn’t too bad, but the food was delicious and served quickly. Staff was prompt and friendly, and I appreciated their empathy and caring personalities :) Definitely a place worth trying!

it's one of those meals i sat there eating for like 20 minutes at a steady pace in a trance. it's great the entire time, not just at first. just very safe and pleasant and really, Really good. 👌

I try to make a point of going whenever I am in Seattle, but Lost Lake has really changed since the pandemic. The biggest bummer is that they are no longer open 24 hours.
You used to also be able to upgrade your sides to poutine for a charge, but they don't let you do that anymore. In fact, if you order a special you can't even pick your side. You have to get whatever potato is listed. I ordered the salmon benedict, which I normally love. I was expecting a lox style salmon on the benedict, but it was fully cooked. The flavors clashed so much that I took the salmon off. The whole experience was a huge bummer honestly. We were happy to be seated immediately, but the hostess didn't tell any of the servers about us. She must have been off her shift or something after because it took 40 minutes for a server to come talk to us after she forgot to let them know we were there. The table wasn't wiped down when we sat there, and we were too frustrated by the experience to even ask them to wipe it.
Lost Lake used to be one of my favorite spots, but I'm not sure it's all that worth it anymore. 😢💔

I got the country fried steak to go and its absolutely great food for a great price! My only problem was i ordered extra crispy hash browns and pretty much got raw hash browns i had to throw on my skillet for a 10 minutes longer. Other than thatgreat food amazing service!
Edit: ended up going back and got tatertots instead of hashbrowns absolutely amazing!! 100% recommend
H D
Open early! My mom said they had the best corned beef hash she had ever had. The service was a little slow, but not horrible. Definitely convenient and plenty of options to choose from.
Sally Lin
Came here for brunch. The decor feels retro and very diner-y.
The chicken fried steak with eggs is great comfort food.
The huevos rancheros is okay.
Aly Benoit
Best "diner" type experience I've had in a while. Great brunch, and so many delicious options of the menu it makes you want to go back twice in the same day.
Brooke J. Burns
This place had AMAZING food, drinks and service and for a reasonable price. We went two days in a row! Eggs Benedict - yum, but a little too much lemon for me. Sausage bfast Sammy- yum! Philly cheesesteak Sammy with the best fries ever- yum! Great ranch! Even classic eggs, sausage and toast- amazing. The hubs loved their counter sausage gravy too! They have PINT glasses of mimosas! Ooh, and it’s pet friendly! If I could give them TEN STARS, I would!
Alexander Thomson
I stopped in one morning by myself as I was passing through Seattle. The service was prompt and attentive, and the food was excellent. I got the classic Benedict with avocado, and it was truly one of the best I’ve ever had. The rosemary potatoes on the side were crispy and delicious. I’ll be back next time I’m in Seattle.

I wanted a night out with my friends in Seattle but it was also approaching midnight and I hadn't eaten. That's when we discovered Lost Lake: a place where I can dine late at night while still enjoying the neon city.
The food was spectacular, the drinks were super interesting (I got an alcoholic hot tea?? That's incredible!) and the staff were extremely attentive and kind despite the place being packed. They also seemed to genuinely love their job, showing that the happy mood and smile on my face that I left with is the usual tone in this blessed place.
I'm looking forward to visiting again!
Trinh Nguyen
This place never disappoints. They have large portions, quality drinks and quality food. I almost always order two plates and inhale it in one sitting. Their hashbrowns are crunchy, chicken fried steak - perfectly seasoned and crunchy. Biscuits and gravy sauce is on point and packed with flavors. Definitely a must go. The vibes are great too except we've only been there once in the evening (crowded) and mostly now I come in before 10am.
John Wyss
Retro style with a friendly and attentive service. Portions are extremely generous, especially the tots! I had the vegan Reuben which was outstanding.
Kiarica Wright
The service was amazing ! The food was AMAZING . Everything was wonderful . I love the environment. The music the vibe was everything. Thank you . I came back to back. That’s how much i enjoyed everything . The chief is EVERYTHING!!

Visited with my wife and a friend on a Friday evening. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Bar staff member that took my order had a bad attitude, I tipped well and was very polite when I ordered and this didn't seem to make any difference. Small muscular person, kudos on the pythons, zero points for the customer service. That soured the experience until the kitchen staff member who brought out our food turned it around, they were super polite and seemed genuinely interested in whether we enjoyed our food. Would go back again for this reason but would avoid said member of bar staff if possible. Manners and a smile cost nothing. Positive energy radiates.

I'm new to living on the hill and was walking to the IHOP thinking they were the only place likely to be open on Christmas for an American Breakfast. Glad I decided to detour through Cal Anderson Park and ended up passing by this place. They were open and busy, and I was more than happy to eat at a place that wasn't some big cooperate franchise. I had Pancakes, Eggs, Bacon, and a side of hash browns, all cooked perfectly in my opinion. Will definitely eat here again.
Natasha Light
Food was fantastic! I originally ordered the huevos rancheros and wasn't able to eat them. The description was accurate so it was my fault entirely, but our server was so kind and was able to get me a breakfast sandwich on the fly. SO GOOD. My boyfriend got the brisket breakfast burrito which was amazing as well! Wait times were also very reasonable on a Saturday morning so we got right in!
Christine Bair
The decor is super cute. The service on the cafe side was slow and very disinterested in even the basics of service. The food was standard diner grub....not bad, not great. The drinks were good. It wasn't a bad experience, but nothing that would prompt me to go back.
Adam
The food is amazing especially the buttermilk pancakes and yummy mashed potatoes. Sausage rocks! The French toast is exquisite. The ambience is cool. Wait staff are warm & friendly.
Back again, during busy Sunday brunch time, on Father’s Day, nonetheless, and the wait staff is very friendly and attentive and the food is all you’ve ever wanted it to be. Can’t say how much this place makes me feel like home away from home.
Returned here for lunch one lazy July Saturday. My meal: a perfectly grilled burger and a substitute of the delicious kale salad for fries. Worth every penny.
Brittany Fairchild
Love this place. I usually get their classic eggs benny. Lost Lake seems to be the only place that knows how much hollandaise is needed. Most places barely put a teaspoon on. All the employees are friendly, the prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. Plus the food and drinks are delicious. I highly recommend
MVH
Saturday night; crowded. Outside dining tent, which is great. Ordered shrimp omelet. Came with thick slices of toast and 3 mini, herbed baked potatoes. Very attentive waiter.
Jacki Normand
Got in super fast on a Sunday. Staff was helpful and upbeat. Food was out super fast, and they made sure to bring enough coffee. Would definitely recommend for a brunch spot.
Vinay Chand
Loved the menu! So full of different items that were "try" worthy! Definitely need to plan to come on a weekday and not on a busy weekend. Other than that... Amazing!
Mari Vel
If you go to Lost lake on a Sunday Brunch rush get ready to wait at least 30 mins for a table. But honestly it is worth the wait. They have a great diner vibe going for them, their menu is pricy but it shows through their quality of food. This is one of my favorite brunch/breakfast places. I never had a bad experience here. If you live on the hill and crave yummy-good-ol' American breakfast food this is the place!
P W
These guys are on a roll!!!! I don't go very often, but in my 15 years in seattle, this spot has never let me down. Every time I leave I feel completely satisfied, (sober or drunk). The atmosphere is always positive and I've never seen a restaraunt staff that is this happy. My recommendation.... is get anything on the menu. Boom!
Abraham
This place is like an old school caffetteria with good burgers and fries. Sandwiches are also good, especially the Philly cheese steak. Tater tots are also available and crunchy.
The only downside is that it is a bit pricy for what you get.
Greg Nyssen
legit diner. especially for those keen on an authentic diner experience. and like any authentic diner the food is hot on the plate about 95% of the time. the other 5% maybe eggs or hash browns come out a little late, no bigs. the specialists working this joint are incredibly nice, know their stuff, and take no guff. love them. the specialty dishes and vibe treat you fine. the 60's/70's rock wall, fixtures, and booth decor hit well, as do the TV's playing classic b-movie/shows. connected to the diner side is the lounge with all the mood feels you need to feel like a cocktail. attached is the comet tavern with its old school bar and show vibe. while not the original setup or owner, it's still worth a pop-in. I love the lost lake scene as one of the few 24 hr diners remaining, despite the latest trend of higher diner prices. for me tho I get by on the delish coffee and one pancake or a half order of biscuits and gravy...ooooohhhh the gravy😘
Raphael Puletz
Great service (staff are super chill & helpful with food recommendations), cool outdoor covered space with gas fire warmers. The cheese curds were a great addition for a tasty appetizer (ask for maple syrup, it reminded me of fair food) along with the special chicken alfredo (Not salty, and maybe under seasoned, but a great dish and looked great! I love the broccoli addition *selling point for me).
Nick Hamilton
Visiting Seattle from the Midwest and this place was suggested by a friend who lives here. The food was outstanding, great diner breakfast. The service was good and coffee was strong. The only downside is that the food took a little over 30 minutes to come out. If timing had been a bit faster we would have rated it a 5 star- we will definitely be back.
Michelle Quigley
I was expecting this to be a bit of a run down vintage diner with good but greasy food and my expectations were exceeded enormously! Lost Lake did have a lovely vintage feel but it didn't feel old and dingy it felt like the updated and clean version of your homey classic diner. The furniture had a mid century modern fun and funky feel to it.
We were there mid morning on a Monday and there were plenty of people but it was not busy and we walked right in to a table. The staff were clearly used to a bustling restaurant. They were extremely efficient and speedy but still kind and friendly.
The food was also incredibly delicious! It was so elevated above the greasy diner food that expected. My husband got the carnitas burrito which was huge and so very yummy. I had a kale chorizo hash with two poached eggs that was full of vegetables and enormous flavor. The toast was also fresh and so delicious.
I can't suggest this restaurant enough!
Minh Tran
Was not a big fan. We got seated fairly quickly but we had to wait super long for our foods. We ordered a beer flight and the beers were warm.
My BLT sandwich the bread was so hard that it scratch the top of mouth.
The signature French toast that my friend ordered was okay nothing special but it was cold.
Bryce Lether
My wife and I went on a Sunday morning and sat on the little patio outside. The service was quick and friendly. We got there around 10 and were out around 11. Caroline was an amazing waitress....friendly, attentive and quick! Definitely recommend this little cafe! The French Toast and Burrito were amazing!
Erica Springer
First time here. Quick service. Sat down & had my coffee & food within 10 minutes of ordering. Portions sizes are very gracious. I couldn’t imagine finishing a plate. Good vegetarian/vegan options. Relaxing vibe. Server checked in on me a couple times. Some may say they don’t check on you enough but I prefer eating in peace. Overall a nice place for 24 hour grub.
Justin Anderson
Good place that's open 24hrs. Food was good. I didn't love my breakfast burrito, but my friend's corned beef hash was on point. Definitely homemade and definitely crispy. Two things important to making a good hash. Blood Mary wasn't great but wasn't expecting much. We also ordered the fried cheese curds which I thought were good, but my friend (from Wisconsin) wasn't impressed.
Addendum: Came back for a second visit. Still not super impressed by the food. The best part of this place is the accessibility and long hours, which lead me to keep this a four star review. Had the chicken and biscuits, which was good, but the over easy eggs were overcooked and not runny, and the "bready" biscuits didn't have enough gravy to keep them moist. The service here is also kind of brash. Seems like the staff is a bit grumpy for being there at all hours around the clock. Maybe they just don't like me because I'm not a local/regular.
Back for a third visit. Still a four star type of place. Good hours and friendly service for alcohol at all sorts of hours make this place a local staple. The greasy food is good, but is definitely not the best. There are things giving this place the appeal that it has.
Charlie Boyte
Great experience as usual. The weather was perfect for outdoor seating. Our server, Caroline, was great. We loved the food. I had the double cheeseburger and she had a vegan breakfast. We ordered the fried avocado fingers → AMAZING. We will be coming here every time we visit Seattle.
Nicholas Gangloff
Was slightly disappointed. The service here was very friendly, was able to get a seat relatively quickly, even with the heavy crowd. But, the disappointment came from the beers being warm, the food being cold, and the food taking over 30 mins to come (sandwich and french toast.) Not quite sure if it was an off day, but just too many things that were just disappointing.
Terri Holland
Pretty good food. Open 24 hours. Service isnt the best. Just a cool, local dive.
M G
Stopped in for breakfast and had the Blackstone Benny and I was not disappointed. Friendly prompt service and it was busy for good reason. Diner feel without the drab. I’ll be back next time I’m back through Seattle.
John Q
Poutine with cheese curds and gravy. So good.
The pitcher of pineapple mimosa was delicious too!!
MrKingluke663
The vibes were nice and welcoming and the service was great. The food was also affordable and great!
Jon W
A Twin Peaks / Pacific Northwest themed bar & restaurant that's done so well, you'll think it's been here since the 1960s. The authentic diner food completes the mood, making for a very cozy spot for brunch, dinner, or a late night coffee.
Tony Kilt
A solid spot for a diner burger, coffee, and cider lunch. The poutine was a bit odd this time with a melted cap of a single covering of mozzarella (instead of more separate melted curds) but it was still tasty and the outdoor seating and people watching on the hill were just right.
death by paradox
Awesome place for brunch with the friends while in town! There were like 5 of us total and we all left satisfied! I got the biscuits and sausage gravy with some eggs and bacon! I also got the mimosa, which I’d normally Never do because I Hate orange juice, but their’s was actually pretty amazing. So good, in fact, that I asked our waiter what brand of OJ it was and he was kind enough to tell me. Regrettably, I was too many mimosas in to remember, but I’m still super grateful he did! I’d absolutely come back!
Julia Hustler
Cheesy grits to die for. Need I say more?! Seriously, come and eat the cheesy grits. Who cares what they stack on top of em. In this case, it was a tasty-enough sausage and some Texas toast with an egg cooked over hard. Whatever. Could have been plain and I'd have been just as happy. Dining companion's french toast/bacon/eggs breakfast was just OK. Service could have been more attentive. Didn't receive my hot chocolate until the food arrived. The bill took a while to arrive as well and it wasn't particularly busy. 🤷♀️
Ivan Blanco
I'm torn about the Lost Lake Cafe, because on one hand the food is generally pretty good for diner fare, but I can never justify the ridiculously long wait times both for a table and once you are already seated. Clearly it's a popular spot as I have always had to wait at least 15 minutes for a table no matter what time of day, but diners are a dime a dozen in Seattle, and I just can't justify spending an extra hour of my time waiting around for the same food I can get elsewhere faster.
Helen Ell Tran
Service was ok. One of the server wasn't very patience and it showed. The good was delicious. They either need more servers during the busy time. Our server was very busy and my friend didn't get her coffee to go.
Dan Yamamoto
Casual and relaxed atmoshpere
During our stay here they played gorillaz at a reasonable level. Was able to have a conversation without having to yell at eat other which was nice.
Food was good. Price was reasonable for cap hill.
Only complaint is food took a while to get probably because it was busy, so not really a big problem. But, if you are in a hurry to eat or have starving kids maybe not the place for you.
Dylon J
Service is a little slower but it usually has alot of foot traffic all hours of the day. They warm the pie as you order it. Coffee is drip and the coffee cake is a good serving. Price is a bit high but its Cap hill so not surprising. Staff is chill and everyone is welcome! I come for the eggs and hashbrowns.
Sean Ferguson
Great food, good atmosphere, and random music (who plays a song by the Pogues!?!)
Daniel Tuttle
A great restaurant that truly feels like a roadside diner in the boonies.
Our breakfast was great.
Mikael Grimm
A great place for some good diner type breakfast foods and breakfast drinks for brunch if that's what you are into. If you aren't into brunch then it's a good way to get breakfast for dinner, cause only crazy people say no to pancakes and hashbrowns for dinner!!
Ive gone here quite a bit and have had alot of their breakfast menu. The hotcakes hoedown, think a tastier mcgriddle, is one of my favorites, their hash browns are amazing too, I always get 2 orders.
If you are weird and don't like breakfast foods, they have some pretty great burgers and sandwiches as well.
And if you have never tried deep fried cheese curds, definitely give them a try hear! Little tip, get some honey with them and add it to the garlic aioli it comes with for an awesome dipping combo!!
Alex Grant
Great place. We ate at the bar, service was good and that allowed us to skip the line for a table. Went there twice this past week and food was good both times. Chorizo scramble for a breakfast and philly sandwich for a lunch.
Margaret K
Great vibes, not so great customer service. Staff just always seems tired and over it. But it’s a super chill spot to hang out, intimate little booths. If the line at Molly moons is too big I recommend a milkshake here.
Daniel L
A solid diner with many breakfast options and good food. The service was a bit slow, which was surprising considering the place was not busy at all, but our group was left satisfied.
RYH K
Not an all night diner anymore. No paper menus, you have to look it up on your phone, which sucked because I don't always go out for an evening with my pho r. The bloody Mary didn't have enough tomato juice in it, making it oddly watered down and stuff. The skewered pickled garden they garnish it with evidenced more attention than the poor mixing of the cocktail itself. The strawberry milkshake written on the board along with their specials caught my companion's eye but we were disappointed to be told they were "not doing milkshakes." We left and got street hotdogs. Not the same place it used to be.
Yazz Atlas
I stop in every so often. The portions are large and I feel like I'm paying a fair price for what I've ordered. My preferred time is mornings or a late lunch. If your looking for a weekend brunch they can do that. Just expect it will be a little crowded.
Cody Shaw
Been to Lost Lake quite a few times. It can get real busy here but they have some of the better breakfast and late nite food on the hill and is very close to all the hot spots out here.
Check out the specials first before the menu. They tend to be limited items and sometimes aren't available
The downsides however is the staff is not very empathetic from my experiences. A few times we have had either egg shells left in our food or the food has come out cold. I am not usually one to want refunds or cause issues for staff but none of them seem to say much about errors when they are made.
Overall it's a godsend when you need a good breakfast after a night of drinking or if you need a late night meal. The quality of the food is great most of the time but can be hit or miss.
Rebecca R
I really loved the atmosphere and vibe of this place. Plus the Ruben was delicious! The service was quick and friendly and the portions large. I will definitely be back.
Aidan Dealy
Great late night breakfast. Really kind and super quick service even at 1:30 am on a Friday. Can’t recommend enough!
Brian M. Demkowicz
Love this place! Get the chicken fried steak... it was what I had the first time I went... and every time after! You won't be sorry.
Tomorrow's Man
Best family diner in Seattle, hands down. Bloody Marys are cracking, menu is diverse enough for picky children, staff is always cool.
Mohammed Rangwala
So glad I found a 24 hours open diner conveniently located in Capitol Hill. We ordered the Spicy Jalapeno burger and hot chocolate and it was yummm! Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a late night meal.
Bri Hammons
Food was delicious! Wait staff was accomodating of making modifocations. One star docked because the place was reeeal dark and service/food was kind of slow, but overall a great experience. I got the biscuits and gravy with sausage pattys. Sooo good!
Mark Lucht
Always a favorite on Capitol Hill. I like their outdoor space. Really busy late evenings. Better for lunch time service.
Natalie Garcia
Our server caija was great! And so was the hostess liza! Food was amazing😚🤌🏼 Staff was super friendly! Overall 10/10
Cristina Lee
Best place ever. Open 24 hours, veg friendly options and everything we ate was delicious. We were in town for 4 days and we ate here 1-2x everyday.
Shelly Gilbert
Enjoyed a very tasty Thanksgiving Day dinner with all the trimmings for $22. Asparagus in Bearnaise sauce and delicious pumpkin pie extra. No reservations, but adjacent Comet Tavern eased the long wait. Friendly, skilled and hard-working staff!
Sara Thibadeau
Super good food, great staff, great drinks, and they always put the game on for me!!
clarke bahr
We had an excellent experience. No wait, friendly service, and great burgers! Outdoor seating could use heaters, but its a great set up with lights on quiet road with lots of people watching. Will definitely be back, as long as the outdoor seating stays.
Katherine Foster-Dalmolin
Their corned Beef Hash was clearly homemade! It was incredible.
Phillis Rolli (Phill)
My favorite breakfast food place! Always seems to be hopping. Upbeat atmosphere and great food!!
Jennifer Garza
This place is absolutely great. Good atmosphere and you can get breakfast all day. However, the dark haired server who worked on 5/8 Sunday on cafe side around 830am was an absolute b*****! It takes alot for me to say that especially on a review. If you don't like serving people then don't do it. Don't act all annoyed when customers come in and have a simple request like a booth option. When there's no wait and plenty of seating. As far as food goes, the French toast is my favorite along with the Philly cheese steak if your looking for lunch item. I would absolutely check this place out, just expect much from the young lady with dark hair, she isn't much into customer service.
Spiffy Shindigs
First time coming for a morning treat since before Covid. Food is as amazing as ever, and service was so much quicker!
Steven Cook
Really impressed. Coming back from an appointment, stopped in with my wife. Probably the best Hollandaise sauce ever on the eggs benedict. Hash browns cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the corned beef hash. Nice portions. Prompt friendly service. If I lived closer it would be my new go to for breakfast.
Melissa Gunshon
It was busy but not too busy. We went around 9am on Saturday. Super chill atmosphere. NOT pretentious at all! Baby and kid friendly! It’s open 24hrs.
Alexandra Torero
Vegan hash (I added the ketchup) and scrambled eggs with goat cheese, basil and spinach
Cate Westenhover
I brought my 1 year old here and I don’t know what it is about kids, but staff just wouldn’t even look me in the eye. She wasn’t making a bunch of noise or mess, it wasn’t like it was super quiet either (music was up pretty loud). I think the waiter said 8 words to me total… the food came super fast though. It was a busy Sunday around noon. I just don’t get why places treat you so weird for having kids.
Trishann Couvillion
Open 24 hours a day people! The food is delicious and trust me, order the Mimosa... It literally comes in a 16 oz pint glass! I had the bacon double cheeseburger on warm brioche bun with a crispy onion ring layered in and savored the entire thing!
Xavier Orozco
Food was okay but cold when it finally got to us. Took a long time to get our food. Overall I would choose other places for brunch or breakfast in the future.
Sheri Lea
Went here for brunch with a friend, she got the corned beef hash which was pretty good and definitely made in house like the menu boasts. I got the California eggs Benedict which was at best mediocre, may have been better if the server hadn't left it in the window for too long. The hollandaise was bland, the English muffins were so hard I couldn't cut them with my butter knife, the tomatos were floppy/soggy consistency, and the egg was pretty much cooked through. The bloody Mary's we ordered were acceptable would order one of those again. Average experience, slow service and okay food.
J. Arthur Perry
Didnt have the feel of the space in the past. Drinks were so so. Not sure the bartender was a bartender. More like a manager or accountant filling in. It was still a nice visit. Hot though. AC would have been better.
Metro by Tmobile
Very clean and the food is excellent. Open 24 hours a day for the late night partyers to fill their bellies. The wait staff of one at 3:00AM is the best.
Sharon Anderson
Excellent food, generous portions, great coffee, too. What more could you possibly want?
Chad Miller
Always the best breakfast stop in cap hill... and right next to Elliot Bay books!
get fed!
Jeffrey Henderson
The service was the best part about this lounge. The staff were really nice and we got our food and drinks really fast.
Fiona Garrett
Very casual diner with really good food! I appreciate them being open 24 hours so when everything is closed you can still get a great meal for a good price. I had a delicious fried cod sandwich.
Serina Gee
People complain about the service but I found it perfectly fine. The happy hour menu is cheap and it has a chill atmosphere. Came here on a Friday morning for happy hour after my night shift. Only con is you have to buy a drink with your happy hour menu others order.
Rebecca R
Took some out of town guests here and they absolutely loved the food/atmosphere. Service was fantastic per usual
Laurel Clark
Lost lake is one of my favorite restaurants. Delicious breakfast/diner good with pretty good vegetarian options (like fake bacon!). If it's busy, service isn't spectacular but I think it's worth it. Open 24/7. There is a bar side and restaurant side.
James Gray
Rough and ready. Great servers and even better music. Add that they serve breakfast all day and you have a winner!
Bailey Keeler
2022 edit: used to love this place, but it’s wayyyy to expensive now. $10.50 for a pint of local beer. No thanks!
Love this place. Amazing breakfast food and tator tots. Great beer selection. Really good (and reasonably priced) Bloody Mary. Twin Peaks decor vibes.
Stephanie Feng (sosteph12)
Food was delicious, but it was so packed that it took a little while to get it!
Tiffany Pinkston
I ordered the vegan hash. Very satisfying. Beautiful presentation, great flavors and guilt free. The marionberry jam was a hit.
Michael Zauche
The fish and chips were quite good, but the coleslaw just tasted like unseasoned cabbage
Cory Jones
Open 24 hours, with $3.99 burger &fries, 2.75 deep fried cheese curds, and $1 PBR 4-6pm on happy hour.
Jimmy Cornillez
BMs are overpriced but still delicious. I wish their CFS was consistent. The staff on the other hand is dope AR.
R. William Thompson
Good breakfast food, affordable prices, and a nice experience on Capital Hill.
Kalee Quiñones
Chill place to hang out, tasty classic food, good service. Super busy on the weekends when bars are open.
Christina Bowman
Service, food, & value are always on point here. Their breakfast happy hour is the best way to treat yourself if you happen to be free from 6 to 9am on a weekday 😁 …
Nick Patri
One of the best happy hours in town. $1 PBR and some cheap food options. The regular menu is reasonably priced for the area and has solid classics (breakfast all day) and good rotating specials.
Jamie Rene
Chill atmosphere with good food. I like the remodel they've done to keep guests separate and safe. ♡
Gia Rassier
My partner is in Seattle for six months working as a travel nurse with a 5 a.m. shift start. Whenever I visit, I wake up at 3:30 a.m., drop her off and work and continue my comprehensive tour de coffee shops and 24-hour diners. Maybe TMI for a simple review, but the bottom line is I consider myself an expert on early morning destinations in the Seattle area.
[Note: surprisingly, it's awfully slim pickings for anything open prior to 6 a.m.]
After visiting the majority of the locations recommended by Foursquare (R.I.P.), Google Maps, and Yelp - I can say with confidence that Lost Lake is my favorite. Coffee is bottomless. Tunes are solid. Staff is friendly, but not overly so. Food is cheap and good. It's the kind of place that makes you slightly happier to be awake before the sun comes up. Nab a booth, order or coffee (or hell, a beer!) and enjoy the stellar people-watching.
GG Gallo
The food was great the service was the worst I have ever experienced! The waiter left us sitting for an hour, never came to the table to ask us if we needed anything and it was horrible! The would have been 5 stars if the waiter was not so horrible. seriously lacking in skills and should look for another career.
Ashley Meek
Delicious food. Very large portions, not too long of a wait for weekend lunch with a large group. For picky eaters, note that there is lettuce and tomato on all burgers even if not listed.
Mark Diethelm
When you think "Diner food," this is exactly that and exactly what you want. Quick service and delicious.
Patricia Zavalza
This place has a big variety of food and great breakfast cocktails. I had chilaquiles and they were good. The wait time can be a bit crazy though.
Per Sveen
The atmosphere is a little hectic, especially on the weekends, but the food was great, and so were the portion sizes. Attentive staff as well, even when it's packed
Tay
Breakfast is usually really solid. Came in for dinner recently and both their special chicken sandwiches were way too burnt and had no sauce.
Brian Anderson
The food was tasty but took longer than it should have based on how busy the restaurant was.
Patty B
Excellent place to go on Xmas Eve or Xmas day, open 24/7. Casual, nice low lighting, some booths, Cocktails, good food with good prices. Lots of vegetarian or vegan options too, if that's your thing.
EUGENE HAN (ABCinAround)
Convenient goto for late late night/early early mornings... though wished the food was better.
Freddy Hernandez
24 hours of delicious diner food. Great vegan options. Toni is the BEST!
Essie
I like the sassy service. Fast. Good food. Reasonable prices.
Jeffery Pardue
Lost lake cafe and lounge is a modern diner that also is a good place to get food especially late at night like midnight.
Archisa Guharoy
We got seated at the back near the restroom and it was quite dark so couldn't see my food a lot (almost had to use night sight to take the photo) and it was around 1 PM. Apart from the seating and slow service, the food was good. I got carnitas breakfast burrito which I liked.
James Honey
Pretty cool little spot. Family went here while we were waiting for a concert. Nice staff and good food.
Kodi Kash
Why didn't I know about this? Seriously, everyone should come here with out of towners to impress them with one of Seattles gems ❤ Very nice staff and VERY GOOD FOOD! Plus a full bar 😄 …
Morgan A
We really enjoyed our food. Our waiter was awesome and that always makes it that much better!
S K
The food was very good. Service was great and time to cook was short. Great music selection. A good dinner for a good breakfast meal.
Calvin Thomas
We went here for breakfast. They sat us in a terrible table way in the back by the restrooms that apparently had no waiter assigned to it. We had to ask for all of our service. When we finally got the food for the table it was a different quality for each of us. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. The traditional style eggs and bacon breakfast was OK, but everything was small. The pork breakfast burrito had a hair in it. That, combined with the terrible service, made it an overall poor experience.
Judith M
We were so excited to visit this place, when we got there, we were given a tiny table, despite a larger booth being available right next to the one we got (it was later given to another couple). The server wasn't friendly at all; hot chocolate was basic- the powder was chunked at the bottom, the food was fine, but a little bland. We got the burrito and the huevos rancheros...they were nothing special.
I got a virgin bloody Mary, and that was DELICIOUS! The bartender brought out my drink, because the server was nowhere to be found (they had three tables total in the restaurant). She brought our ticket and never came back for payment, so we went up to the bar to pay and no one came over for solid 10 minutes... I was pretty disappointed, TBH.
Jen Hawkins
Amazing food and huge portions! I always make sure to stop here when I visit! Good gluten free and vegan options.
Ben Flynn
Came for food and left loving the atmosphere. Wonderful service and great staff. Left full and happy. Thanks for the great time!
Alex Kautzky
Love this place, good food, good people! Highly recommend!
Ed Keyes
The goat cheese scramble was so good. 😋
Jason Schriver
Super delicious! Got a table for 5 quickly and everything was out quick.
Jaime Mendez
The vegan hash is on point! I've had it at 3pm and 3am. Same delicious taste. And this place is open 24 hours.
Lauren Pierce
I have to say the food was great but the service was nothing shy of terrible. Firstly, when we arrived, the hostess didn't even greet us, but instead asked "Do you have your vax cards?" I was kind of caught off guard, but we didn't have our cards with us, so I responded, "No" and she abruptly said "Then you can sit outside." The sign on the door only said that we had to show proof of vaccination status or recent negative covid test if we wanted to sit at the bar. It didn't say that we couldn't sit inside at all and she was very rude about it all, almost like we were some sort of diseased heathens. Then, she sat us down and we tried pulling up the menu using the QR code at the table and it wasn't working for any of our phones, so we asked for a copy of a paper menu. The hostess rudely sighed and responded with "I'll see if I can find one". Her attitude towards us was just really uncalled for. Then, the service in general was pretty awful. We ordered drinks and waited about 20 minutes when the waitress finally came back and asked if we wanted anything to drink...? I guess she forgot our drinks entirely. Then after waiting another 20 minutes, we finally had drinks and ordered food. Once the food arrived, we asked for a refill on our fountain sodas and then the waitress was gone for about half an hour or more. Didn't check on us at any point to make sure the food was okay until we were pretty much done eating, which was unfortunate because the breakfast sandwich one of us ordered was missing sausage (it only had three ingredients total: sausage, egg, pancake). When she finally came back to check on us, we had to ask for refills again and told her about the missing sausage. She came back with the check after another chunk of time had passed, still no refill, still no sausage and the check wasn't split like we had asked. I would be totally understanding if the restaurant was super busy or she was handling a lot of tables but that wasn't the case. It was frustrating to have to remind her several times about things and still barely get what we ordered. Again, the food was good and we enjoyed it, but it was an absolute pain to get anything at all when we needed it.
Danielle Sword
Delicious Bloody Mary. Yummy sausage pancake sandwich
Artem Bidnichenko
It is outdated. The place, the menu, everything.
It's a diner with all the staples, but each item is rather poorly executed. You will probably finish your meal, but I doubt you will be eager to come back. The value is not there, the options are not there. Everything is greasier than it should be.
On the plus side, they have all day breakfast and seating available when everything else is packed.
Jessica Anderson
In love with this place!! This is a chill spot cool environment literally anytime. Staff is always amazing this isn’t a normal restaurant you kind of are on your own when your there which is why I love this place. Food is good and HAPPY HOUR IS ON POINT!! plus the location is right in the middle of literally everything!
Irlanda Garcia
Love the service! My dog absolutely loved the fries!! Bob was wonderful!
Alex
If you visit after 1 AM be prepared to be awake for the next 2-3 hours, service won't be the fastest. Another word of advice; the poutine doesn't use real cheese curds (just Mozzarella it seems) but it doesn't taste the worst. .
That said, the classic has never let me down!
Annaliese Hopkins
I had a BLT and side salad pretty good, seating is horrible for how busy the place.
Gustavo Tyler
Delicious breakfast. Not busy at all. Restaurant is separate from the bar area. Plenty of parking on the street. Highly recommended if you don't want to deal with downtown parking.
Ash Thompson
This place is hit and miss, and recently more miss than hit. Last time my chicken wings had a huge clump of feathers sticking out of it, I can understand one little feather but this was a clump the size of my index finger. I'll ask for things like bacon on my burger, and 2 out of 3 times did not get it but got charged for it. Obviously covid has done a number on restaurants and I want to support places that aren't chains, especially ones that serve dinner food in the morning to graveyard workers like myself, but the last few times I've rather had gone to the IHOP down the street (and I don't like IHOP).
Gabriel Stranahan
I like it here but took a star off cuz burger was over cooked, but otherwise a fine burger. Next time I'll tell em medium rare... honestly who wants a hamburger well done.
Alicia Zhang
fun atmosphere, yummy drinks, and delicious brunch foods! sat outside in one of their park benches but service was very disorganized and slow. might have been an off day. cute interior / decor! capital hill parking is always a nightmare though
Valentina Alexis Torres
I’ve never put a bad review but I don’t know I ordered a veggie Ruben and it didn’t have the zucchini or the sauerkraut which are the main ingredients so I just paid quite a lot for two pieces of bread, a slice of cheese n a small bit of oiled veggies with tater tots too greasy too eat.... if you are out of the main ingredients... just don’t make it... The wait staff and environment seemed pleasant but this was only a to-go order. I did call in confusion, but the waitress didn’t understand because meat eater. She definitely needs more communication from the cooks. Anyways, just one of those Im only reviewing because I’m disappointed reviews
Colby Solum
Open late and accommodating of large groups! Thank you for making our night work.
Gwyn Marayne
I was there to pick up a Grub Hub order. It was a nice place.
Josh White
We really enjoyed the food. It had great presentation and the flavors were an awesome combination. The service was a little on the slow side though. This this could be understood if they were busy, but this was a slow point so this is why I give one less star.
Shaleen Miller
Lost Lake was great. Awesome, personable service, and the food was delicious. Drinks were super good. We had outdoor seating, and it was covered and in a nice space and not just crammed on the sidewalk, which was a relief. Also, very reasonable prices for the hill. Will definitely go again.
Jesse Larson
A friend took a group of us that were in town from MT to Lost Lake Cafe and I couldn't be happier that he did. I ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich. This menu item is always a hit or miss so far away from Philadelphia, but at this cafe, it's was definitely a hit! It was amazing. It is the best philly I have ever had (though I've never had a true philly from Philadelphia). The sandwich and included french fries were large enough to share between to people and be plenty full when you have finished eating. I will definitely be back!
Juanjo Cano Sellés
Good Food and very friendly staff.
A friend has an onion intolerance, and they gave us a new dish with the onion on the side.
Will repeat.
Dre
Serving and wait staff was great and super friendly! The food was not so great. My eggs were overcooked (not what I ordered) and the hashbrowns were undercooked. The toast and bacon were also cold. Bummerville.
Coral Kroeker
Absolutely love love the vibe here. The seat yourself, but still get quick service is amazing! The diverse menu is fantastic and something for everyone. A friend and I popped in for breakfast on President’s Day and the place was packed. Although the food was delicious, by the time it got to us, both our breakfasts were barely warm. Would definitely try them out again!
Shandee Hicks
Service was top notch and the food was SO good. The French toast is a must!
n k
For a diner, I think they have decent food and faster service
Jonas Umberger
Very laid back spot . We had a very good breakfast
Michael Foley
I love that this place is open 24 hours, great for late night eats. Came here for some recovery breakfast and it was good, had the chicken strip breakfast with a pitcher of mimosa to split with a friend. One pitcher for 2 people is good for roughly 3 drinks a person. My cup had a small chip on the rim which gave me a teensy cut on my lip. Called it out the waiter and he took care of it right away. Excellent service!
Evan Schreiber
The brunch food and service were great! The restaurant has a fun vibe. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and I like that you have to use a QR code at the table to pull up the menu on your phone. Would recommend for brunch!
Lior Sela
Good music, large portions, too dense pie. It felt like stuffing my mouth with margarine
Sierra Paul
Some of the best corned beef hash I've ever had! The gentleman that was our server on the patio was wonderful and very attentive.
Hollis Hamilton
Service was good and folks working there were friendly. Ordered the Cobb salad and the greens were starting to go limp and a little slimy. Would rather have a smaller portion and fresh greens than the huge plate of lettuce past it's prime.
Robert Buendia
Stopped in for breakfast. Lots to choose from. Breakfast with contemporary jazz.
Tom Mitchell
Got the corned beef hash, one of the best I’ve had. Great place and great service
James Dean
Super friendly staff, glad they got ride of the big bulky dividers. Food is tasty, glad they have a couple vegan options on the menu.
Manny Lata
Food was really good, nice laid back and hip vibe
Angelina Austria
I've been here twice now (both visits were past midnight after hanging out/bar-hopping around cap hill) and I just love love love this place. The chocolate milkshake hit the spot, and I highly recommend the coffee cake here as well! Typical diner fare and setting, but with a hipster Seattle vibe. It can get packed on the weekends but it's well worth the wait! The staff is friendly and attentive! I will definitely return and bring some friends along :)
Dave Baldwin
This is a real "locals" restaurant/bar. We were in Seattle over the Christmas holiday and hadn't booked any reservations for Christmas Eve dinner. So, my son did a little online research and found this Cafe had a special holiday menu that night, including a turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, and cranberries! No reservations needed. We walked in and the "family" restaurant room was full, but we elected to sit in the bar. Great choice! The music was better, service was great and the food was really good (I did have the turkey special). It was a great mix of people too: race, gender, age, orientation...a fun melting pot of a real community. We had hot toddies with dinner and my daughter in law had a peppermint schnapps shake for dessert. It was s blast!
J M
My egg sandwich tasted like a pizza.
Wendel Tse
This is a diner with a comfortable, intimate dining room, like a dimly lit pool hall. Service was efficient and friendly. Portions are generous. We could not finish all the fries that came with our sandwiches. The menu has many vegan options!
Madison Thompson
Great service at the bar/bar side. Was so friendly, they pour their drinks worth whatever you pay and the food is better than any brunch spot I’ve been to in Seattle.
Iris Gatti
Great diner. Affordable prices, and open 24/7 with great breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. I went there twice, once I got the blueberry pancakes and they were so huge! I had to take 2 out of 3 home, and I have a big stomach. Their burgers and sandwiches are also delicious, and it doesn't feel like you're eating fast food at all. If you go, get the poutin, it's to die for!😍
Mimi Nguyen
Great food and attentive staff
Kevin j
Delicious 24 hour diner breakfast menu. I had a brass monkey and the chicken fried steak. Steak was pretty good and gigantic! They have a bar so you could get breakfast and drinks! Prices were very good, seats were comfy, food is awesome, staff was very friendly with a warm smile accompanied the attentiveness.
Mel R.
Food was fresh and some creative takes on diner classics. I had the fried cod sandwich with fries and was impressed by the crispy herbed batter. It would have been better with a pickle spear or two but it tasted fresh and was pleasantly crispy. My friend had the meat lovers skillet and was very happy with it. It's a bustling spot for brunch so not great if you're impatient waiting to be seated, order, or get your check.
Trinidad Zavala
Our server took forever! She was very busy so we had to ask for more drinks from another server passing by. My friend, with whom I was with, said that was the same service she received twice before. Besides that the food was good and our server was nice. She was just super busy and perhaps they were understaffed.
Skyler O'Connor
Cute place, great for a late night stumble out of the bar.
Marc Chamness
Lost lake is a greasy spoon... And that's great by me. I don't know the story behind it (they all have stories) but solid food, normally 24, and drinks whenever it's legal to sell them.
No pretentious menus, no complex all blehblehbleh... Which is kinda nice in a city like Seattle.
Go there, wind down, and enjoy. It's not fancy, but it's not supposed to be
Dalton
Still one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. Their menu has various tasty entrées and wonderful wonderful pies. It’s great to know the staff and get a warm welcome upon entry. They have phenomenal food but my favorite is their classic BLT with avocado.
j s
Bit of a wait on Saturday, but well worth it.
We sat at the bar by the kitchen and dirty dishes drop off point, which was pretty loud.
That said, the food was great. I had the veggie eggs Benedict and one of my friends the French toast. Let's just say that it was a good thing that I had run 8.5mi/13.5km that morning as I helped her finish off her breakfast.
All of us had amazing drinks. I can't remember what it was called but it had lemon and lavender and wasn't that sweet.
The wait staff was snarky and prompt and a lot of fun.
I'll definitely be back the next time I visit my friend in Seattle. Though hopefully we'll end up sitting further away from the dirty dish drop-off.
Jena Evans
The people working were very kind. The bloody mary was decent, the buffalo wings were dry, old, tough, and salty. I wish they'd been fresh with some buffalo sauce. My partner said the pancakes were bitchin and they smelled amazing. The biscuits were very dry and the gravy was mediocre but with a decent amount of sausage. The fries were undercooked, very limp and oily, like the temp wasn't high enough.
Overall: I'm fairly certain most of the food was cooked previously and reheated. It was all given to us within five minutes of ordering. I don't think I'll come back soon. Hopefully things can be different after covid :(
Omer Moghraby
Oh my this was an amazingly laid back and very cool affair. Our delightful Waitress was dressed in Halloween garb and was so friendly to the visiting kids on their treating. Service was v friendly and attentive. Food was delivered in massive portions and delicious too. Well worth the trek up the hill - could almost justify the calories eaten!!
Ian Mortensen
Service was slow, but it was pride weekend so no worries there! Food was excellent and drinks were well made.
Tristan C (TristanBomb)
Just some damn good French Toast! We also got an eggs benedict, which was really good too. Service was pretty good, the food came out quickly, and the place has got a nice atmosphere. The prices definitely aren't bad for the quality, and being open 24hr is a plus! Would definitely recommend.
Steve Greagor
I've been here twice over my short stay here. Really good good, especially the corned beef hash! And the coffee takes nothing like normal cafe coffee-way better. The chicken fried steak is also tasty and huge. Reasonable prices and fast, friendly service. Not much more to ask for!
sterling
tl;dr - Don't sit on the bar side.
The food was pretty good but the service was not. Way too long before someone came over to take my order, they forgot to tell the cook about one of the things that I ordered, then when they finally put the order in they did not ask for it to be cooked the way I asked. On top of that, who serves pancakes, waffles, or French toast without offering syrup?
Sean Enbusk
The breakfast options are delish. Staff is super friendly. Can't miss place!
M Timmy
We stopped in here for breakfast. We were seated in a comfortable booth. The coffee is great. I was happy to see they offered both veggie sausage & veggie bacon. So I ordered the bacon with my French toast. Delicious. Will definitely come back when I'm in Seattle.
Jason Thompson
It’s good but I really wish they could bring back their entrees or add to the menu for dinner stuff. There used to be another page of items before 2020. :)
Jennifer Kercher
Lost Lake has several vegan options! I've tried their burrito and BLT so far. I love it here.
I'm vegan due to allergies, and have had no issues with cross contamination yet.
Jim Williams (Jim)
One of the classic Capitol Hill go-to diners. Though it is known for many early morning meals after a night on the town, the food options are just as delicious during daylight hours! It's a comfortable, cozy place that allows you to be yourself even if it's your first visit. Satisfying menu selections, veggie and vegan options, and warm service make this place a gem.
Chris Mack
The service is good and the servers are friendly. Food is a bit slow and the quality is alright. It's open 24 hours with Breakfast served all day/night which is why I love it. Happy hour burger & fries for $2.50 is awesome.
It gets really really hot and stuffy in the restaurant. There's no circulation or A/C. Other than that, the place has a good feel to it. Especially love the lounge-side bathrooms.
Tom Carmichael
We were there for trivia night, so my experience isn't typical. Food was mostly good, although some specific items could be better. 24 hr breakfast is nice as an option, unusual for a pub type atmosphere. Service was slow, but we weren't in a hurry.
Jake Carroll
Not sure I can say enough good things about this place. Was visiting Seattle for the weekend and just wanted a breakfast spot to hit before heading home. My wife did a quick search on the Google and this place popped up as popular. We were there around noon on a Sunday and there was quite a line. While some would take a star away for that it just shows how good it is. If all those folks, including us, were willing to wait in line that should tell you right there. Staff was super friendly, upbeat, and helpful. Besides being super slammed and packed they were doing great and staying happy. We were eventually seated at the bar, which we were quite content with.
My wife had french toast, eggs, and sausage. It was incredible. As basic of a breakfast as that is the french toast and sausage were just delicious.
I had a carnitas breakfast burrito and it was incredible as well.
If I had to nitpick anything it would simply be that parking was not easy but that should be expected for the area. Not a complaint but just a visitor tip, if you sit near the door it does get a blast of cold wind every time someone opens it, and it will get opened a lot.
All in all I'd gladly go back there for another meal.
Anthony Palazzo
Brought a friend to breakfast we didn't get silverware. Hard to eat pancakes steak and eggs without it. Even after asking for it 10 minutes passed and we starting digging in with our fingers to try enjoy our food while it was warm.
Dustin Brown
For a 24 hour diner, I was not expecting much. I have been in twice and the service was on both sides of the spectrum.. either amazing or .. bad. Drinks are reasonably priced, but the food is surprisingly good. I have been looking for a good wing place, and I didn't want to admit it... but this is a great place for wings and beer. I recommend this as a happy hour style or after drinks diner venue. Nothing fancy, gets the job done.
John Roman Quiles
Really good diner with cheap beer and food. Looks really old school and the service is fast but do not expect the please and thank you fine dining attitude. That is fine for me because I am down to earth and just care about food. If you enjoy being ass-kissed, this isn't for you. However, food is really good and great portions for splitting.
HIKING VIKING
Quick service, kind workers, excellent stop for alt culture folks.
The food comes in large portions and in a timely manner despite how busy the place is every time I come in.
No one is shy about making a nice cocktail upon request either, which is sometimes an issue with a lot of bars around town. Never thought I'd get that kind of experience from a 24 hour diner.
Great place to wind up after all the bars around town close up for the night. Can't beat a good omelette at 3:30 am after drinking or bartending all night.
Harrison Moore
Friendly service and great food. Our party was larger and we did wait on coffee and drink refills for a little bit but overall great food. Fun breakfast brunch or lunch. They're also open super late so a great pitstop if out bar hopping or just out late in the evening. Reasonably priced as paired with portion size.
Ash Sheth
Easily waited 40 minutes for my food, and the hot chocolate tasted like it was made with water. The omelette was not good and was overpriced. However, the tater tots were good and the staff was nice.
Ryan Poole
Love this place, so far everything I've tried has been awesome. Friendly staff and good service even when busy!
Josh Kurnot
Affordable menu for all diets. Just okay drip coffee.
Shantrelle Pitts
Went for breakfast, had a early morning drink and we ordered off the happy hour menu which saved us quite a bit of money. Food was great and our server was awesome. Way better than the last time I ate here a couple of years ago. Will definitely be going back sometime soon.
Aubry Dugan
I was really blown away by the food! Get the pickle fries, my mouth is watering just thinking of them more than a month later. The music was kinda loud but there is patio seating when it's nice out which looked much quieter. Their happy hour menu is an incredible deal. We'll be back again next time we're downtown for sure.
Johnnie R. Johnson
I ordered biscuits and gravy with Scrambled eggs, hash browns and a side of bacon. I was very disappointed with the biscuits and gravy. First of all onions do not belong in the gravy. Second of all you do not toast the biscuits. Otherwise the breakfast was very good.
Gina R-B
Everything here is delicious! Try the beer battered cheese curds. So yummy.
Emma Burrows
We went here the first day we were in Seattle. Our waitress was super nice and accommodating for our large group. I personally had the BLT, which was definitely delicious! Ours in my group had malts and even macaroni, they said all these were delicious. It was also nice and sunny in the restaurant. Yet if you are looking for a good bathroom, this is not it. They are a little dirty and dark. Otherwise it is an awesome place to eat!

In the evening it feels more like a night club than a place to grab a bite to eat. I think it is just a bit too noisy and way too crowded for my preference. The price was a tad high but the food was hot and fresh cooked. The fire was blazing and gave the front corner a nice ambience. And the French fries seemed like they were fresh cut fries. Overall not perfect but a good place to grab a bite. I would just caution against weekends unless you want to hang out with teens and noisy crowds
Tate Heard
Food was pretty tasty, portion sizes were great. Server could have been more attentive but I appreciate the low key environment. Prices were slightly above average but definitely made up by the portion of food involved. Overall a good experience
Blanca Gore
I live for clean, buttery scrambled eggs. Nailed it! They were delicately perched on top of biscuits and gravy, and I had to eat every bite of the eggs before devouring the rest. Thank God we shared..the portions are huge. The biscuit itself had a crunchy bottom, wow, no soggy biscuit thank you very much. The gravy, perfect. Lots of sausage and no greasy taste. Hash browns, you make me happy. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Finished w a side of the rosemary potatoes. Delicate baked potatoes, skin on, smashed and tossed in fresh rosemary. My favorite breakfast in a long long time. Thanks for the happiness you put in my morning!

Visited from New York. Quick, tasty and would definitely recommend. I’m in LOVE with the ginger wings. Definitely will be back

A Capital Hill classic. This dark, well-appointed lounge provides excellent beers and fantastic service any hour of the day. Come for the hardy food, stay all night for the potent drinks and comfortable atmosphere.
Miles Hicks
Loved everything about it. Great breakfast spot, interior is fun, vintage, and well cared for. Seems nice and low key, close to everything. Listened to Johnny Cash and watched old Friends reruns. Good service, personable, timely food prep.
Steve Midas
Not warm & inviting but it's Seattle. The chicken fried steak was chewy but the hashbrowns were good. The best part was the Cafe Ladro.
Jared Persinger
The food is good, the service is just adequate. If you come here in winter, prepare to keep your coat on unless you sit on the bar side, as the frigid breeze from the front door can be startling. Two separate items we initially ordered, the chicken fried steak and the coffee cake, were not available. The highlight for me was the smashed red potatoes.
Kay Gaska
My partner and I can always count on a delicious meal here. Hardly have to wait on brunch days. Staff is super friendly. Seriously one of our favorite go-to places in Seattle.
Laura Scott
I ate at Lost Lake three times last week during my time in Seattle. I was dining alone so it was easy for me to slip onto a stool and hug the counter. But even when I had a whole booth to myself and offered to move, the waitress said it wasn't necessary. The place has a super retro/hip feel to it. The music choices are intriguing. One song came on that I really liked and the waitress was able to find the song and band name and wrote it on a scrap of paper for me. The coffee was good, the sausage patties are as big as a burger patty and so flavorful. I had the chicken fried steak and it was glorious. The sausage gravy, oh my. The breakfast sandwich was filling and cheap at only $6. Hotcake hoedown was a bit weird, not sure pancakes can be used as sandwich ends, but deconstructed everything and it was great. You're gonna wait for food and service when it's busy, accept it. The reason it's busy is because it's good. The diner is open 24 hours and they have seating outside. Big, bright, open windows on the storefront, a great way to read a local rag and fill up before starting your day.
Maria Bareiss
ZOMG, my friend and I absolutely loved this place! Excellent food- I had local mushrooms in my omelette, and my friend had goat milk cheese in hers! The staff are great, and the*opposite* of boring, stuffy, and unfriendly. We really felt welcome there, in yhe very diverse environment! Music was pumping, and the conversations among strangers was fun! Sorry, no pictures because we really dove in face first! We went very late, and since it's open 24/7, it was no worry. We felt very lucky to find Lost Lake Cafe!
Tony Karais
We've only been for breakfast, 4 times now, but love it. Cool vibe - I dig the dive bar feel of the one side and the old lodge side of the other. Lots of veg options as well. And the hardest working restaurant manager in the City! (Don't know her name but she's pretty damn awesome)
James Nunez
Went for breakfast. Good basic fair. They had good pancakes. We sat in the bar area where the music was extremely loud. Usually don't mind loud music but not during breakfast hours.
Great staff. Also great place to stop in a grab a drink while walking around Capital Hill.
Krista
Interesting menu, nice happy hour options. They messed up our order ticket so one of our entrees came 15 minutes later than the others but we're very gracious & took it off the check without being asked, 5/5 service. Nice decor but definitely loud. But almost all the food was slightly off the mark--overcooked, oversalted. Food 3/5. Drinks 4+/5.
corbin talley
Brunch was good. Covid barriers have been removed. The introvert in me liked the Covid barriers, but my extrovert side liked the openess.
Prashant Anand
This is our go to place for late night dinner. Sandwiches are good here. I like the Veggie Reuben Sandwich at this place. 1000 island is a little too strong for me so I order this sandwich with light 1000 island dressing and I love the taste. "Classics" menu items like french toast are decent too. Overall a good place. The best part is that its open 24*7 so we go here late night quite often.
Gabriel Merryfield
I liked the place itself, sat at the bar, and the food was decent. I might go again
Mike Beard
The food tasted pretty good but, no malt vinegar for the fish & chips? And the music is incredibly loud. The service was great, and polite.
Erin Murphy
All the food is great - upscale diner feel and actually stays open late night. Hard to find in Seattle.
Paige Luebbert
We went her twice during our 3 day staying Seattle. The service was generally good. We had the breakfast sandwich both times, on Friday it was on special for morning Happy hour! This is the a great, reasonably priced place to grab breakfast near capitol hill!
Michael Allen Taylor
Loved this place. Will definitely be going back for more. I'll be bringing more people with me too.
David Avalos
The load of tatertots was too much for me 😎 tasty and very delicious 🙌🏻 the outside patio was just right …
Anthony Riek
This place is great. It can get really really busy, especially for brunch but it's worth it. Some of my favorites on the menu are the cheese curds and the sesame ginger wings. The rosemary smashed potatoes that are a side option for brunch in lieu of hash browns are amazing.
Brad Stevenson
1st visit and I will be back. Ordered corn beef hash and eggs. Very pleased with the quality and the portion size. Hand made not out of a can. The 2 young ladies that helped me were very polite and made sure that my coffee and water were always full.
Carmelambition
It’s good solid food. It’s nothing too special, but they have the best sausage gravy in town. Be careful on ordering via delivery apps, sometimes the order isn’t right.
Rosemary Funk
My friend and I had a wonderful breakfast at Lost Lake this morning. It was the breakfast special if you get there before 9 a.m. period our waitress was very friendly. Have had other waitresses that have not been quite as friendly and it's really made the experience unpleasant. We come there regularly and sometimes when we see a particular person we don't want to be serviced by. Lately she has had a little bit more friendliness in her step if you will but honestly it's been challenging cuz we really love the food
Ashley Gould
Pre-COVID, I loved that you could order a milkshake at the bar at 2am. The menu is expansive enough to cover a wide range of late night or early morning cravings (as long as that doesn’t involve fresh veggies).
Nicholas Hale
Good food. Looked all over Seattle for breakfast and they served it very well. Very good milk shakes too.
Tim Glover
Veggie omelette didn't have a lot of taste, but the smashed rosemary potatoes are delish! Very good service too. Busy Sunday morning but I didn't have to wait to get a seat at the bar. Blues music at just the right level, people having a good time.
Steven Watson
I have only been once, but we say at the counter while all the chairs were being put atop the tables and thr floors were being mopped. The place looked closed, smelled like ammonia, and we were 2 of maybe a total of 8 in the restaurant. But it was 4:45 am on a Sunday. The service was good and the food was good as well, and they were the only place around that was open and serving food, and hunger made the decision to stay. But maybe they should consider closing for an hour from 4 to 5 AM daily and do the necessary cleaning. It was not pleasant eating with the smell of cleaning products, bright task lighting, chairs on all the tables, etc., and it seems a better and more efficient job could be done if there weren't a few scattered diners in the dining room and away least one cook and one cooking station still working in the kitchen to work around.
Midori Woodley
My wife and I were fortunate enough to be treated here by family. Really great atmosphere. The food too a little bit but I think that's because the french toast my wife ordered was baked. I had the Reuben which was very tasty, although I want used to the bread being toasted. The french toast my wife got, however, was INSANELY delicious. I don't know how I only managed to have one bite, because it's the best french toast I've eaten, honestly. My only real complaint is that parking can be a little tricky, but that's just Seattle for you. Will definitely go back and get more of that french toast!
Keith Bachman
This place is awesome nostalgia, great food, great wait staff, and the drip coffee is unusually good. The corned beef hash is my fave, and I wouldn't hesitate to take anyone there!
Jo Rainwater
Good beer and the hamburgers are amazing. Not crazy about the fries, but overall great place to hang with friends in outdoor seating and get a good burger, fish n chips or a Reuben.
Rod Thomas
Great food and great staff. There was a little wait but the staff got us in as speedily as they could. The breakfast was awesome and the atmosphere was bustling enough to feel fun, but quiet enough to catch up with friends without shouting. I loved it!
mrsynnn13
This is my new favorite place to eat in Seattle. Kind of hidden but there's a reason this place is packed. A nostalgic Twin Peaks diner like feel. An all-star staff and the food is delicious. I recommend the mushroom Hunter scramble
Andy Greco
Do not get the burgers. They do amazing breakfast food and their specials are on point but twice I’ve ordered a late night burger after several beers. The toppings are fresh and crisp, the bun is so perfectly toasted every time but residing in there is a hard and dry burnt hockey puck that was frozen not minutes before. I ate the whole damn thing both times because drunk burger. Order the cheesesteak or the breakfast but please do not eat the burgers.
Matthew Smith
Went to Lost Cafe around 12 AM one nigh the server was great but I wasn’t a huge fan of the food. I am aware they serve food 24/7 so it can only be so good. I was unable to finish my Philly cheese steak I ordered because of the taste. Would recommend as a late night meal or food when your drunk.
Mary Waterhouse
Went on Christmas Day with a friend for brunch. There was a 30 minutes wait so we sat near the fireplace in the bar until we were called. When we were offered a table, we were also asked if we just wanted to eat where we were sitting. It seemed like the best location, so we stayed there. The staff and the food were beyond our expectations, and I will definitely be going back.
Helena Batchelor
Excellent service food was delicious delightful friendly staff
Sonya Peterson
Hotcake hoedown was bomb! Breakfast sandwich between pancakes with syrup?! Perfect if you like sweet and savory. The tots were also amazing
Arboghast Erebus
Nice place, friendly staff. We had the poutine and a nice plate of fish & chips. The fries were pretty standard but nothing to complain about. Tasty fish, nice and crispy. Excellent raspberry cheesecake milkshake.
Jeremy Leach
5 stars it was REALLY GOOD. I had the breakfast skillet and almost didn't finish it, but I'm no quitter. The service staff were nice and very attentive. Atmosphere is quiet and it would be a nice place to watch a sports game. Plenty of TV's in the right spots.
Wes H
Visiting Seattle from Vancouver my first time , Found this place while hunting for a 330am snack. Great 24/7 joint with a old school diner vibe. Chicken strips and fries were great and milkshake was on point! they have a great selection on menu. Breakfast and dinner, Staff were all friendly and super cool. Even met a new friend at the bar. Price is a little high for chicken strips and fries, but very worth it in the middle of the night.
j spain Greene
All night dining at this diner attached to the Comet Tavern.
The staff is pretty awesome given how busy it is and how energetic the patrons are....they run the gamut: people getting out of a late show or dancing to party people who need a drink and/or a bite.
The food is very basic - diner selections of breakfast, burgers and salads. Cocktails are not very good here. Beer or simple drinks (like a whisky and 7) are best. I would not come here just for the food; I would come here because there is nowhere else to GET food. I will let you read between the lines on that comment...
E Griffin
This spot is great for drunkfood after a night out or place to get drinks. The hours seem to have been shortened, which is understandable but sad.
abigail
Always delicious food with generous serving sides. Smaller selection of cocktails for some people's opinion, but all are great. Sometimes the waitstaff aren't speedy during late night hours, but that's understandable, and I would argue, part of the charm. If the diner's not your taste, lost Lake and the boisterous Comet Tavern are connected on the inside, and the tavern has pool, a skeeball game, and a far less polished Americana feel, instead feeling like a rock and roll beer hall.
Note: there's one or more televisions in both areas (though not in Comet if I remember correctly) which I consider distracting and not delightful.
Madeleine Higgins
The food is so good for a 24 hour joint! Love the atmosphere, pleasantly dark and dingy with great pictures of northwest nature. The crushed rosemary potatoes for a breakfast side are amazingly delicious. The service was a little slow and was friendly enough.
Grace Lindsley
No night out on Capitol Hill is complete without a massive omelette from Lost Lake! They offer typical diner food at a good price with huge portions. It's good eats with a nice atmosphere.
They're open 24 hours, super convenient. They do get pretty busy at times, but that's not surprising. I like the bustling atmosphere anyway.
Andrew Carroll
A classic go-to for Capitol Hill.
Your experience will be different each time you visit, and you just gotta be ok with it! The food is good and cheap! And the staff has always been attentive and decently nice!
Craig Porter
Love the music, the atmosphere, and the menu is pretty good! There's a bar side and a diner side, so you can pick which one you want to sit at depending upon your mood. Diner side is bright; bar side is darker and more moody. Same great service either way!
Jason Knickerbocker
Good food, great service and friendly staff. No complaints at all. Really enjoyed both their breakfast burrito and the Kale and Chorizo Hash. Free black coffee makes this one of my new favorite work spots.
Jonathan Hill
As always delicious and bomb service... I took a new friend there and she loved it but I knew she would!
CEK Poarch
Great brunch, lunch, dinner, second dinner and breakfast. Great bartenders and staff. Reminds me of my grandpa's wreck-room. Fun times!
gadamsetty sneha
We visited Lost Lake Cafe & Lounge for brunch. They currently have outdoor seating available so dine-in option is a yes. We called in for reservation and were told to walk in. There was no wait time and service was good considering I had a flight to catch in a hour.
Cindy Lopez
Being open through 2 am and bringing our food out fast definitely makes lost lake a winner. It's diner food, but it's reasonably good quality if a little pricey. The wait staff took a little too long to get us menus and get our order, but otherwise, you'll enjoy.
Dallas Hodges
This place is a really cool place for a wide variety of needs, with a full bar, and a separate restaurant for food. Not to say you can’t have food in the bar, or a beer in the restaurant, but it helps to have a choice between the two different environments to better fit your intent of the night. Employees are pretty decent, food is good, with a great variety and the option to order food 24 hours a day this just might be a place for you!
Mo Kashmiri
Just okay. Think Denny's with less corporate feel. Staff is friendly but seemed too busy. Large menu but not especially interesting Americana. Open 24 hours a day, so a decent choice when few other options. 🍀🍔 …
Nate Bryce
Wonderful find in Capital Hill. 24 hour diner/cafe/ gem. Reasonably priced with an incredible variety of food and drinks. Specialties that were available today included doughnut breakfast sandwich, chicken fajitas. They also have vegetarian options. We can speak to the Vegan Breakfast Burrito, and the Carnitas breakfast burrito. Both were delicious with incredible portions! Bloody Mary was also good, and the mimosas come in a full sized glass, no flute silliness over there. Highly recommend, look forward to our next visit!
andy luley
The service was good, the food was yummy, the only criticism i have is that we waited for a larger table in the restaurant be cleared for a while so our whole group could be comfortable, and finally took a smaller table in the bar and added a stool to the end. However, the milkshake was yummy, and the grilled cheese was delicious
Christi Hill
I can't knock them for the service, although it took far too long to get our food... Everyone is having a hard time with staffing. The food was so-so. I'd give it a try again in once the staffing has improved.
Tyler Gomez
Great food, friendly staff, and a fun setting.
Nora Casey
I love conning here for brunch and breakfast! The country Benedict is amazing.
Ruth Gabriel
I am happy to find a place where I can get a meal at 3 or 4 a.m. And it's even good! I like the ambience in there at 4 in the morning. It reminds me of the punk/grunge days of my youth. Some interesting characters sitting at the counter, loud music on the jukebox and really strong coffee. Just the thing to get me through the rest of my shift at work.
Zach Garfield
Great atmosphere and really good food!
Serge Lobatch
Delicious comfort and classic diner foods. Delicious fries. Huge menu, and you really can't go wrong. Killer happy hour in the morning and early evening. Service is pretty good. Ambiance is on point -- think 60s Mad Men meets Seattle hipster cool.
Garrett Fuller
Service is pretty slow. Food is pretty good. It's noisy. It's also the best 24 hour joint in Seattle. And one of the only. 5 stars for it being an iconic part of Seattle late night. I am a big fan.
Jacque McNair
It was so busy, we to sit at a bar next to front door, very cold. The food was good, we ordered fish sandwich, Mac n cheese, blt, Cobb salad and fish and chips. All good. Service was a little slow, but the waiter was very nice. Recommend going on a week night cause it's very crowded and noisy on a wknd, bar is on other side of restaurant.
Lucy Fenn
The chicken dinner. The batter on this baby is crispy and so moreish. The mash is creamy and the gravy hot and comforting. Service is always on point and the atmosphere is fun. Plus it's open 24 hours with all day breakfast!
Lauren Hardin
This place is hit or miss for me. They a do a good breakfast when its quiet but I have found that when they are busy, which is a lot of the time on Capitol Hill, the service is slow and not too friendly. The food is only so-so. It is a cool spot to check out and have a drink or an early morning breakfast but there are other places on the hill that are way better to eat at.
Rota Freeman
Even though it took quite a while to get a seat (just that popular!) it was worth the wait. I met with friends there for brunch and shared two pitchers of mimosas! Their brunch menu is excellent.
Zach Corenblum
I loved this place. Great diner with nice American portions. I had two eggs hash browns sausage links and also the custard French toast. Was very hungry. Good area too.
Sydney Blackwell
We just moved to The Hill and we love this place! Nice, laid back vibe. Love the menu. Food was great. These guys are open basically always which is awesome for our late night work schedules. Super fun little diner!
Haley Leshley
It was super good, I got a chicken fried steak Mex style and I over ate and brought some home it was so good! There was a small wait but it's what I expected when going to breakfast on a Sunday morning morning. Definitely work recommending!
Bob De Dea
Decent dinner fare, but nothing to write home about. Their burgers are satisfactory; shakes are pretty good. But their blueberry pancakes are skimpy on the berries. Not a place I would frequent.
Jonathon Loos
Casual and very hip diner setting, always a crowd-pleaser for breakfast (especially after a late evening). Mushroom omelette was awesome, love their rosemary smashed homefries on the side. Service can be a little slow amidst brunch crowd, but easily understandable. Get the pitcher of mimosas, just get it, everything will be fine.
Teague OConnell
Price, service, and overall vibe was good. I love diners, and this is a solid diner. The 4 stars vs 5 is due to the hollandaise sauce, which I found a little lacking in zest and savory flavor. It’s hard for diners to do a solid hollandaise, and they often cut corners to have a sauce that’s ready all the time, which is what I think was the case here. That said, I’ll be back, but won’t be ordering eggs Benedict next time.
Bradley Cason
High quality diner fare with a few twists to keep it interesting. Fantastic staff really embodies the spirit of the neighborhood. Beautiful decor and atmosphere are equally inviting for the mid day beer with friends or the family outing. Go here. Relax, enjoy...
Michael Garrett
Lost Lake Cafe & Lounge offers that authentic diner experience you can always appreciate while also being amongst the times. There’s a variety of menu options, including Vegan and Vegetarian options.
Oh and everything is healthy portioned. Aka A LOT.
Matt Perrone
Lost Lake is one of the staples in Cap Hill that is an easy place to come and go. Being able to get some drinks (and also connected to another bar in the back), it is a great "breakfast" food place at any time during the day. This spot is very popular late night during the weekends when large groups are out on the town, so you may have to wait for seats for a bit, but it's well worth it. French toast is always a good way to go, but to be honest, any breakfast is pretty bomb there.
Ashlyn Wearing
My coworkers and I come here a lot of breakfast. Since we work night shift, we are getting off of work during breakfast happy hour, which is perfect for us! The staff are attentive and quick. Also, the place is open 24/7 which is not common in the city!
J Seig
Always pretty decent eats for comfort food. Service is always good. Plan on a wait on weekends but that is normal here. It's a Seattle favorite for years.
shaleah jones
🤩 awesome 🍽 super 😋 yummy!!! (Shaleah’s daughter)
Selin Tosun
The most recent gem in Capital Hill for brunch. <3
kerry morrison
Lost lake gets a 3 out of 5 stars, not because it's lacking, as it absolutely is not, but because a diner by definition cannot be thought of as great.
A diner has to be accessible, comfortable and with just enough rough edges to feel like home. This is what lost lake is like.
Food is tasty, the portions ample, and the seats are comfortable. What more could you ask for.
Thomas Johnson
Awesome 24 hour spot on Capitol Hill. Typical of bar/diner food, it's not gormet, but it sure hits the spot. Especially the fried pickles...mmm...fried pickles. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Security there is great too, friendly but totally on point. The guy that's usually there, Share, has the patience of a monk and can deescalate any situation. But back to Lost Lake, thank god this place exists, or I would have gone home hungry many a night.
Alan Newman
Mediocre service, standard diner fare with a very extensive menu. Happy hour/reduced cost menus available both morning and afternoon. Definitely comfort food and a nice place to go to hang out with friends for a meal.
Praise Sutton
This place is perfect. I had tator tots and the vegetarian heuvos rancheros. The gauc was so creamy and fresh. The tator tots were so crispy that they were good even after 2 hours of me slowly enjoying my meal and reading my book. The waitress was so kind and respectful, I might call in the future to work there myself because the people were so good to their guests. Also you gotta love that they're open 24/7. I'll be coming back to try breakfast and their pies!
Rocky Muller
Great service and friendly, breakfast was good had carnitas egg burrito thing. Would go back. The option for alcohol in the morning is nice as well.
J Lo
Ok, this place was highly recommended by my beautiful wife. She is like "you have to try this place because it's amazing." I was a bit hesitant at first because I didn't think there would be anything good on Capital Hill as far as eating was concerned, so I said "ok let's go." The place is pretty cool looking. The bar was bumping in all its glory. The dining was popping as well. It has a nice vibe to it. We were taking care of promptly and the service was adequate. Nothing great but nothing bad either. After we ordered, we waited our typical 5-10 minutes for our food. I ordered mashies and some fries. Now I love those carbs with a passion and I hate to say it but I was not impressed by them. After finishing my drink (water) it took awhile to get me my seconds. When I finally got my water, my water was warm. No Ice - No thanks! Really! Warm water does not mix with a place that is warm in itself. My wife ordered a BLT she also wasn't impressed by it either. She told me that the breakfast is better and next time we will get that. Well, I hope next time they have gotten better because I don't want this to be my only experience with this place.
Brittany Rios
Great place for food at any time of day. Their morning happy hour has great prices and you can't go wrong with $5 pint sized mimosas! The food is always delicious and the servers are great.
Tim Abbott
Lost Lake just opened on Cap Hill and seems really nice! The food is fair priced and the place is open 24 hours a day! No complaints there. The wait is usually long but this is bearable during happy hour ($2.50 burger and fries!? Count me in!).
Two weeks ago I went in with a friend for breakfast and we ordered an entree and coffee for ourselves. A couple days later I noticed that for my $8.50 omelette and $2.25 coffee + tip, I had been charged $25.04. At first I had thought maybe I had paid for my friend as well, despite asking the waitress to split our order; however, I asked my friend if he had a charge to his card as well, and to his surprise, he had been charged $33+ for a crab cakes benedict and a coffee, so clearly they had not charged me for both meals. We both tipped $2 that day and it would appear that they had modified the amount we had tipped! An omelette, coffee, and tip, for whatever reason totaled $25+.
We went in a couple days ago to try and talk to a manager about the mishap and had a very difficult time doing so. In fact, the manager wouldn't see us and instead had one of the waitresses take down our information and try to understand the situation. So far no effort has been made by any of the managerial staff to contact us, and the charges are still there on our cards!
So be warned, pay with cash, or expect to be charged an exorbitant amount!
Fennec Nightingale
Always been a kinda difficult place for folks with any dietary restrictions, especially dairy, but their options have improved substantially over time, and the servers/kitchen are really really nice and have always found something they could edit in some way to work within what I or others at my party could eat, even if it takes a bit of finagling and we always really appreciate it. Always tip your servers well!!
Tamasha R
Came for brunch during Pride weekend. Little bit of a wait, but totally expected. Mimosa was nice and strong and the short stack of pancakes was 3 big pancakes, couldn't finish them. Will definitely come again.
Danielle Radic
Lost Lake is definitely a hearty cornerstone of the Capitol Hill community. I hope this institution never goes away because it is one of the few spaces in Seattle open 24/7. The people are always friendly. This place is great for groups because their menu has something for everybody. The bar area leads over to the Comet and has a cool Twin Peaks vibe. There are times where they run out of certain items but this attributes to how busy they get on a Friday or Saturday night.
Hana A.
Food was delish and staff was welcoming and accommodating. we. a party of 3, wanted to sit by the window at the larger table and they seemed hesitant at first but allowed it anyway. they didn’t seem angry when we indecisively chose a booth instead afterwards. food took awhile to come out but i didn’t mind waiting the ambiance and outdoor seating was upper pretty . thank you to patient & kind staff
Debbie Nechiporenko
This place has a rating of 5+. We sat outside. Staff was right there when you needed them. I will definitely go again. Food was awesome and lots of it with your order. To much to say about the place, go check it out for yourself. You won't be sorry.
Timmy Reilly
Such a great place to have on the Hill. In terms of value and convenience, it can't be beat. The $2.50 Happy Hour Hamburger is way better than it ought to be. And a $3.00 local pint to pair creates a perfect post work happy hour. You'll be dead before you eat your way through the menu though... not the healthiest grub on the hill.
