Amazing food with a surprisingly friendly price. This is the first time I've had gnocchi in red sauce but I loved it. The desert was also so flavorful, you definitely shouldn't miss it. The only thing that slightly bothered us: we went on Christmas with a reservation knowing most of the restaurants would be closed. But people just didn't plan ahead and we ended up being surrounded by people standing next to us waiting for a table. It was stressful.

I was expecting a lot more. Arrived here and it was not looking busy but the hostess was nowhere to be find. We reached out to one of the servers and he told we need to wait for a bit and she will be right with us. 15 min later she still hasn't come, so the busser came and sat us down. They did not put in the effort to make the space look nice, poor decor and cheap furniture especially outside. Service was also slow and food was late. Our pasta was very greasy but still delicious. Could not finish the whole portion. The salad was missing something to make it refreshing. Overall very average food and below average service.

What a delightful experience this evening. We had a romantic dinner for two sitting at a lamp-lit table with jazz music playing in the background. My bride absolutely loves Italian cuisine and La Vita E Bella brought us back to Tuscany. Come in, relax, enjoy the music, and savor all they offer.

The service was fast and they accommodated a 5 top quickly this evening. The food was delicious and they served bread with olive oil prior. Nice little place and everything we ordered was delicious. Would def return.

We were Christmas orphans and happened on this spot. Everyone was very nice and the service was great! The dishes also came out very quickly. The Caesar salad was very good (dressing actually tasted like it had anchovies) and the Sicily Salad was very tasty and hearty. The bread was meh but the olive oil to dip it in was good. For mains we had the lasagna, which was very tasty. We also had the spaghetti carbonara which was also meh. The egg had been overcooked (scrambled) and they clearly used whole eggs (or maybe even egg whites) for the sauce rather than mostly yolks, which makes for a richer and more flavorful sauce. There was also not much pork flavor. Four stars rather than three because the experience was great overall. I just wish they would make some adjustments to their carbonara recipe/method.

This is a nice place with good portion size, tasty food, nice decor and friendly staff. I did want to try the tiramisu but they were out of that as we had gone pretty late. I had taken the pollo cacciatore which was very good. The spice level was great with well cooked chicken and side of vegetables. My wife took the pollo picata which was equally tasty. I would recommend the pollo cacciatore between the two. We took the olive bruschetta but that was okay, not too great. My friend took the gnocchi peppirosso which was also very good. All in all , a great experience and would recommend if you want Italian and you are in Seattle downtown area.

The pesto pasta was great, the basil was flavorful, the cream was slightly more (but that’s again a personal preference); the pasta was normal and not par boiled, the beans and potatoes added to the taste.
The staff was very courteous, the place has a nice vibe as well.

La Vita e Bella (Life is beautiful) is a bustling crowded little Italian restaurant, serving genuine, hearty Italian food. Their pasta list is intimidatingly long, but don't be intimidated when your selection appears in front of you; however much of the bread basket you may have eaten beforehand, I guarantee you will find room to fill your stomach. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, a simple classic dish. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente with chew, the sauce was warming and bright, but the meatballs, oh the meatballs were sizeable, tender spheres of slow cooked goodness. Firmly held together and infused with sauce and spices, these moist meatballs will leave you wondering if you can just order a gallon of them to go.

This is a decent restaurant in the Belltown area with a classic Italian menu ranging from the well-known pasta dishes to pizza and some interesting appetizers. Solid wine list and beer selection, and the servers are quite friendly.
I came in here with a friend on a slow weekday night for early dinner (5:45pm) and had no problem getting a table. I got the Montepulciano while my buddy got an IPA, both were fine. We started with a Gamberoni Cipolla (sauteed shrimp appetizer) which came out piping hot and was quite tasty. Our entrees were also good, though my lasagna came out a little on the cool side. Our server took care of it quickly, and in the end I was too full for desert.
I definitely want to come back and try the pizza next time I'm in the area!

This place was wonderful! We were looking for a local hole in the wall Italian place. This fit the bill. My family thought it was the best meal we had in Seattle - and we had some fabulous ones!!! We ate the bruschetta, crab ravioli, chioppino, calzone, lasagna, veal, chicken Parm, and ravioli bolognase. Also the cream puffs. Enjoy!
