Reviews of Katsu Burger & Bar

I got the Miso Honey Tofu burger and it was great, however, there’s only so much you can do with tofu. The sauce on the outside was great! Creamy, sweet, and tangy, but I wish there was more to the the tofu itself outside of the Pablo breading. Everything else was perfect, the nice, big bun, thinly sliced cabbage, and spicy red onion made for delicious bites. I just wish the flavor of the tofu rose to the level of everything else.

I thought the burger, fries and Katsu bites were all really good. Admittedly, it's a little strange eating a deep fried burger, but I liked it. The fries were nice and crispy. The employees were super nice, especially since they were busy on a Holiday and we were there like 45 minutes before closing. So shout out to the whole 4th of July night crew if the owner reads this, they were great.
Michael Kyle
I ordered the Ninja deluxe with beef and did the make it a meal option with fries and a green tea shake. Food was ready when it was supposed to be and they made the shake when I got there so it wouldn’t melt and would be fresh. Cost was $22, including tax and tip. All in all, it was a good amount of food, probably more than enough. The burger was tasty, but not exceptional. I really enjoyed the shake and fries with the nori ranch.

We follow Mike Chen on YouTube and knew had to try this place after his review. It was so worth it! I had the Ninja with 12 spice seasoned fries and my hubby had the waygu with Coleslaw and a milkshake! The atmosphere was nice, there is a public parking garage right next to the establishment- nice because we struggled to find on the street parking. The music was great as well as the service!
Alyxandria Watts
The fries were super good (12 spice fries) but the burger was mediocre at best. The bun was a little stale, the burger itself wasn't really katsu or a burger and it was missing the seasoning imo. Come for the fries though, they were amazing.
Ritika Rao
The flavor is good, not exceptional, but good. They don't hold back on the wasabi which I liked. What I really liked were the prices for the quantity of food, and the amount of tofu in one burger! Half a block of tofu as one burger patty. Would love vegan options and non soy options.
Mackenzie S
The burger was really great, but I expected the curry fries to have a liquid rather than a powdered form of curry, and wasn't really a fan. Would get a different seasoning next time but overall very good!
M
The food here is so good!! The Katsu crispy breading is sooo good. I got the Godzilla Attack burger which was great, can't wait to try the other flavors too. Big portions. Tip: get the Nori fries with the Nori ranch sauce, amazing combo!!
There's indoor seating and also a bar, though the bar wasn't open when we went. I do wish this location carried the Hawaiian Sun juices like the south Seattle location. Besides that, highly recommend!
Michael Turner
Very cool place with great service. The Tokyo burger was exceptionally good. There were many different flavors, but they meshed well and were delicious.
Kylene
Huge portions and delicious food. I really loved the curry burger and croquettes. Defintely stopping by next time I’m in seattle!
Chetan Motamarri
Tried Godzilla Attack burger here. Tastes very good. Especially Curry Mayo sauce is mouth watering and yummy.

I was happily surprised with Katsu Burger tonight. The staff were SUPER friendly and patient with us. They took their time in explaining what everything was. The burgers were huge and hard to fit in your mouth. The fried katsu patty was deliciously crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I had the Godzilla and was happy with the spicy level of it. The fries were also flavorful.
Gina
BOMB AF! I have dreams about Katsu burger. I love this place and I’ve never had a negative experience with my food.
The burgers are so filling, the katsu pork is always crispy and fresh, the nori fries are delicious, and so are all the dipping sauces. I always go for the ninja deluxe, but one of these days I’ll try everything on the menu.
Laura Ingrao
You can’t go wrong with katsu. Quality is always fresh and on point with their flavors. Our favorite is the pork Tokyo classic burger with the 12 spice fries. So good! I’ve been spoiled from ever having regular burgers.
rock nemeth
After becoming a fan of Katsu Chicken Curry dinner at H-Mart I figured a Katsu Burger would have to be pretty good too.
Unfortunately it's not for me.
If you are adventurous - maybe you should give it a try !

Ninja Burger + Curry Fries + Seaweed Salad = A Killer Katsu Kombo
jcq101
All I can say is wow! This is probably one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The pictures are exactly what you get, and the service is fast, and the food is great. 🙂 Two thumbs way up. 👍👍
Laura Morrison
These are the most amazingly flavorful burgers ever. Their curry sauce is absolutely delicious and all the vegetables and flavor that go into everything on the curry burger makes the burger delicious to the last bite
Mason Dumais
Burgers were really good and HUGE. Very tasty and pretty standard prices. The cocktail bar looked like it had been closed for a long time. Couldn't tell why.
Aaron Otterstein
I flew to Seattle for a job interview and I had the opportunity to go here for lunch. This is an amazing restaurant with lots of fun options and menu titles. They also have Jones soda on tap. I loved my food. The only possible negative is that the burger was slightly on the greasy side. I ordered the Samurai burger and loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Gerrit Kruidhof
Amazingly delicious deep fried burger with Japanese flavors. Walked in on good recommendations hoping for the best, but the burger was even better than I expected. I tried the Tokyo Classic with Curry Fries and Spicy Mayo dipping sauce. The burger was amazingly flavorful, crunchy, and moist. The fries were prepared perfectly with a delicious curry powder flavoring and the spicy mayov was perfect as well.
Frank
Passed by randomly on a layover at SeaTac. These burgers were delicious. The fries were also perfectly crispy and the sauces they have were a nice touch. They've got some special drinks available on tap as well. Very nice atmosphere with delicious food. Would recommend
Sean C. Koop
Nice restaurant that offers a mix of the Japanese and American cuisine.
There burgers are amazing. I had the samurai select which is spicy and sweet. I decided to take an menu with the wasabi coleslaw and upgraded the drink to a cheesecake strawberry milkshake.
They have up to 12 beers on tap k including Japanese imports. Unfortunately they were out when I was there.
You should check the place out of you like food fusions.
Shawna Boyd
Absolutely delicious! The miso honey tofu was beyond what I could have wanted. I will say, even the regular sized portion is so hard to eat because it's so big. Definitely recommend the nori fries and get the wasabi mayo for dipping. It's a right amount of spice. We also enjoyed the curry fries with Japanese mayo. As you can see, we ate it all. Unfortunately no bartender on shift so we weren't able to enjoy that.

Solid Japanese comfort food with an American burger twist.
On a recent trip to Seattle, Katsu Burger was on my radar as a place to check with its multiple locations throughout the city. The Capitol Hill was the closest to where I was staying.
For this Japanese burger joint, Katsu and Curry are two of my favorite Japanese comfort foods so I was interested when they were so prominently highlighted in the menu. The combination of the Katsu Curry Burger was something that I wanted to order but I tried to reserve my expectation. Fortunately, I was rewarded with a great burger. They have some larger options but the simple burgers would be my go-to's at this place.
Decor:
The interior design was funky and creative with different Japanese nods of Godzillas and other anime items. There was a lot of space during our early dinner visit.
Food:
We shared the Katsu Curry Burger for $9.25 and Ninja Deluxe Burger for $10.25
The Katsu Curry Burger comes with Japanese Curry Powdered Natural Pork Loin Katsu, American Cheese, Tonkatsu Sauce, and the signature Curry Mayo. The Ninja Deluxe Burger comes with Crispy Natural Pork Loin Katsu, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Tonkatsu Sauce, and Japanese Mayo. This burger is one of their most popular items. We had their Nori flavored fries and 12 Spice Blend flavored Fries for each $3.15. We went with Spicy Mayo which is made with Sriracha and mayo, and Wasabi Mayo for dipping sauce. I enjoyed the burgers, fries and dipping sauce.
Overall:
It's a great Japanese inspire burger joint. I look forward to trying some of their other offerings on my next visit.
Foodlover Girl
One of the first tasty looking spot we found in Seattle was Katsu Burger. We love katsu, and we love burger, so it was marriage made in heaven. The inside was large with a good amount of seating with many tables and chairs.
Their burger offerings looked really good, it was not easy to choose. We ordered Katsu Curry and Ninja Deluxe burgers. We also ordered side of fries, Nori and 12 Spice Blend.
Both burger was quite big, nicely crafted. In Japan, katsu is usually eaten with a side of shredded cabbage, and this one had a good amount of shredded cabbage on top. It added nice fresh flavor and crisp texture. The burgers were really tasty! And with the size, it was filling and satisfying.
It is sad that the fries don’t come with the burgers, making them a bit pricy overall if you want fries with your burger. Both fries were delicious, not overly greasy, soft and potato-y. The dipping sauces were really nice too, we certainly ate them all up!
We had high expectations and they did delivered pretty well. The burgers were high quality and delicious, and the fries were addictive and tasty. Great spot for an easy lunch!
Brittney Keehner
Visited on a slow Tuesday night. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered suggestions that were not disappointing! The burgers are huge and full of flavor. The concept is what drew us in, ans everything was fantastic! (plus there's Jones soda on the fountain, which is awesome!)
Joy N
Super quick friendly service!
Also the burger itself was huge. Nori fries were good and very seasoned.
The miso honey mustard was so good!
Fiona Garrett
Absolutely amazing!! The portions are good sized, the burgers are tasty, and they have Jones soda! My only gripe is the fact that they barely give you any dipping sauce for fries and it costs extra for another one. Otherwise great food.
M
My wife and I love katsu so we had to try this place out. The burgers and slaw were good. The curry fries could have used a bit more curry flavor. Their fountain drinks are mostly Jones Soda and they do serve cocktails at the bar. Overall we enjoyed the meal and would recommend giving Katsu Burger a try.
Hartley Lojik
Loved the food!
Great service and speedy. (We were there around 3pm)
We ordered the two top ordered dishes. (Per the employee) The Ninja Deluxe and Godzilla Attack. I personally had the Ninja and could not put it down it was so good. I usually don’t eat pork, and it was awesome. The Godzilla is killer spicy, I’m not a fan but that’s not the burgers fault, if you like spice get it!
The classic American burger with an mixing pot mix for Americas birthday, what more could you ask for.
(top bun got a little soggy from coleslaw, cheese slide off meat, but my BF said user error 😂)
D XO
Unbelievable burger and bar. The wait staff was amazing and accommodating. Enjoyed myself a lot
HIKING VIKING
Katsu burger is an excellent restaurant with affordable large portions and fun drinks. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable on their wide selection of sake. The atmosphere was super pleasant and ambient, there was a lot of people in the restaurant but I didn't feel overcrowded at all.
Ramon M
Ordered through GrubHub. Delivered on time and the food was packed well and tasted great! The Umami burger was delicious.
Anna Suzuki
I ordered Tokyo classic and Tonkatsu curry burgers.
It comes so huge we couldn't finish but very tasty!
Tokyo classic was beef Katsu but it was like a Menchi katsu.
Dana Cretu
Not bad! I think I still prefer traditional burgers, but the location was great, clean, friendly servers. A bit loud on the music, but it's Friday night in cap hill so makes sense. Fries were crispy and thin, just how I like 'em. Good stuff.
Booyaka Stubbs (ExplorewithStubbs.com)
The line up took forever and it wasn't really packed in there. There were flies all over the restaurant and it was a turn off. Seemed a bit on the pricey side as the cheapest burger we saw was almost $9. There is Jones soda on tap which was cool but in reality I've had better burgers elsewhere. I might give it another try to see if it was just a bad day or maybe a staffing issue.
Juicy Jones
The Wabi Wasabi was so good it was absolutely mind altering. Great strawberry cheesecake milkshake. Fries were crispy and hot, sauce choices were fun. The prices were surprisingly low for this ultra-fashionable neighborhood. Great decor, it feels more like an old school joint.
Merij Kris
What a neat place! I like how the menu looks and the different kinds of burgers. I had ordered the Ohayou Gozaimasu burger and nori fries. Beautiful looking! The fries were tasty and certainly your basic bar fries. The burger however left me disappointed. I really wanted to like it because it looked amazing, sounded amazing, but it wasn't meant to be. Some thing on the burger just wasn't agreeing with me and I gave up half way through.
Still, giving them 4 stars because I really do think it's a great place and I want to come back and try a different burger. Hopefully it'll be to your liking and taste!
Rene Munoz
I've eaten both the Godzilla attack and Ranch special, both really good. They're not expensive and super filling burgers with a ton of flavor. I definitely recommend the spicy mayo with the 12 seasonings fries.
Yazz Atlas
Unique burgers and full of flavor. Dipping sauce for your fires. There is a bar area and normal seating too.
Stev K.
The ninja deluxe burger was delicious! Almost too tall to eat, all the flavors worked together perfectly.
SO had a beef katsu, and we both found that the meat had something mixes in that had too strong of a flavor.
James Dean
Tasty burger, friendly service. Love the crunchy tofu burger, honey mustard sauce is good stuff.
Jared g
Lovely atmosphere. Was 8th on top 50 things to eat in Seattle and def lived up to the hype! Deliciously made, excellent bun. And Jones soda on tap earns a bonus point in my book !
Dustin Enfinger
The burger was delicious (I got the Ninja) and the spicy seasoned fries were really tasty as well. The cabbage mixed with the tonkatsu sauce accented the flavor of the deep fried pork perfectly.
Nick Corcimiglia
Had an awesome lunch delivered by Uber Eats! Loved my Wabi wasabi burger and fries. Thank you for a perfect lunch combo with a twist!
Kalee Quiñones
Godzilla attack burger and nori fries are my favorite. Staff was nice. The space is ok to hang out, I prefer takeout.
t t
It's so good, I have not had a burger I did not like here godzilla attack is my favorite of all
Sam Ling
An interesting fusion of Japanese style convenience food (katsu sandwich) and American burger. There is a wide variety of menu to choose from, and each item is an awesome blend of typical ingredients from the corresponding cuisine.
Ronaldo Barnes
One of the best burgers we have ever had! Nori fries and caramel apple shake were also amazing!
Berwin Xie
Got the katsu curry burger, pretty good, but having a deep fried cutlet on bread tastes very heavy. The curry flavor is also very subtle, wish it was more flavorful.
Steve Kupitz
This place is great. From the taste, to the menu options, to the originality, to the cleanliness, the price - all great. My wife and I didn’t even come here hungry but we ate our chicken teriyaki burgers in under 5 minutes. If we lived in Seattle we’d definitely be coming back.
Aryan mobiny (OneOfYou)
Take out and delivery only. Burgers were super delicious. Will go again tonight lol
Zakkry Endicott
Recently went here to eat. The wasabi flavor was much too weak. I still like the texture but it seems like the flavors have been tamed down. I prefer wasabi flavor to be strong enough to burn my nose. It wasn't as tasty as I remembered it. Still loved the milkshake and fries. Fast service. More spice please.
Kevin Longboy
Burgers are massive! Also like that you can substitute any patty with tofu. Great place to go if you want a burger, but want to try something different. Would also recommend the croquettes.
Beau Johnson
Always a good burger and a good value. The burger is more than enough as a meal, too
Rachel Dougherty
I spent a week in Seattle for vacation and Katsu was so delicious I went back twice! I plan most of my trips around food and this place was good enough to just keep going back. Make sure to try the 12 spice fries with the nori ranch!!
Sam GS
The fries are nothing out of the ordinary.
The taste of the burger is interesting but I wouldn’t try it again.
Susan W
A different experience for a burger place for sure! Fried pork or beef burgers. Great fries and milkshake. Awesome vibe, loved the Studio Ghibli artwork.
Sadek Baroudi
Burgers are wow! Seriously one of the better burgers I've had in a long time. The only complaint I have is the bread. It just didn't taste fresh. Frankly, if not for the bread, easy 5 star burger.
The nori fries were good, but didn't have enough nori flavor! The 12 spice fries, however, were reaaaaalllly great.
I really like that they have Jones soda on tap.
Marissa Romine
Great place to have a burger. A little different than another katsu burger that is near my house. Has a soda fountain, thicker cut fries, and a bar (though it looked closed when I went there). Would recommend the food!
Tejal Raut
Best burger place ever! I love them!! Have tried the godzilla and the katsu curry burger, and they are AMAZING! the burgers are pretty huge for one person to finish. Ofcourse don’t miss out on the all spices fries on the side. :)
Kurt Abe
No vegan items here, but vegetarians can enjoy a Miso Honey Tofu burger. Highlights: Nori fries with Tonkatsu dipping sauce and Jones Soda fountain. I'll be back for sure!
Nikola Andrejevic
Very interesting concept. Basically like a fried burger schnitzel with an bunch of awesome fresh toppings. I really enjoyed the pineapple and the wasabi mayo on the burger though I found that the slaw had too much wasabi. I will definitely come back for a quick bite if I'm around!
Alberto De Agostini
Had one of the besy hamburger of my vacation on the U.S. here... I totally recommend it
Sean Gordon
Katsu (burger) outside, howbowdah??
Tokyo Tower: Double beef, 2 slices of American. Tonkatsu mayo +12 spice fries. Samurai Select: Beef, pineapple, bacon, wasabi mayo, tonkatsu + Nori Fries #TokyoTower #SamuriSelect #KatsuBurger #CapitolHill #mustorder #foodstagram #cleanplateclurb #eatseattle #myfab5 #seattleeats #foodie

Amazing burgers!!!
I had the godzilla with tofu and it was so good !
Zach Martin
Wow katzu burger. I need this in my life more often. Deep fried. Yes please! Taste sauces and toppings, for sure!
Alec Gardner
Basic burger, fries, and coleslaw were admittedly good but $20 for a quick lunch is outrageous. Portions are huge. Please make them smaller and reduce the price, I feel sick to my stomach after eating this.
Brandon Cable
Burger was excellent. Fries good although a little soggy. But tasty. Chicken was good but a little over fried. Burger 5 stars. Fries 4.5 stars. Chicken 3 stars.
S
Fantastic burgers, deep fried , many options. Nice place, clean and comfy.
Brian M. Demkowicz
Not your traditional burger joint. Burgers are gigantic and delicious. Many varieties and items to choose from. Truly friendly staff that appear to enjoy working there. Ample, socially-distanced seating.
Pablo Tapia
Just great ambience with the perfect balance of laid back and easy to hang out. Fast food with non fast food quality
Erik Olsen
The Curry Katsu burger was excellent. Nori Fries were well seasoned but a little overcooked. Chai milkshake was delicious.
Jason “Lee Rooney” Darkman
Great atmosphere but we come here for the burgers not the atmosphere and these burgers are some of the best ive had. I would rate katsu 5 but it takes a really long time to get my burger and i never go during peak hours by anymeans.
Margarita Gonzalez
Yummy hamburgers and friendly staff!!
Laszlo Dudas
Huge Burger! And tasty fried for half the price of of burger spots if your looking for something to fill you up this is it !
Matthew Alldredge
Great place to grab an amazing Burger that is a huge step above the rest for a great price!
Caleb Ohryn
The wasabi coleslaw reminded me of my incident in fourth grade... Oh well.
Omnipotential
Excellent food, quality and cleanliness. Burgers are good but overshadow the banzai bites. They are like chicken nuggets on steroids. An order of banzai bites and 12 spice fries with teriyaki dipping sauce is all I ever order. 10/10
old cyclist
Burgers were very good. Prices are high and food quantity too large to do this often, but overall a good experience. I was not impressed with the fries, but nori ranch dressing was good.
Davis Ng
Tried the original burger. Nothing special, little salty. Great food for drunk people.
Andy L
There's fusion food and then there's this where the only bit of fusion is that it resembles the shape of a hamburger, the rest is 100% Japanese handheld goodness that will make you depressed when it's all over.
Ish
Tokyo burger was more like a meat loaf patty. It was okay, just a little different.
Thomas Coller
The food was an awesome mix of Japanese katsu and fantastic burger. The Black Sesame milkshake was a yummy drink.
Darrell
The burgers were delicious and will definitely be my staple from now on. I do wish the meat was way crunchier.
The cashier was great! I dislike it when cashiers seem to rush you while you are looking over the extensive menu and keep asking if you are ready. This dude, however, was really cool and maintained his distance, allowing us lots of time to browse over the menu.
Service was extremely fast. No indoor dining; take out only. Wasabi mayo is the bomb.
Athen Lucas
Huge burger. Loved the fries and banzai bites!!
Eric Gray
I order this every time I visit Seattle and I'm always impressed. Samurai Burger and the 12 season fries
Michael Park
Wonderfully different and delicious. All the burgers are specialty items with various differences clearly labeled on the blackboard menu. I got the Ohayou Gozaimasu burger which had fried egg and was pleasantly surprised to find that the beef burger was breaded before frying. This was definitely an interesting twist and paired well with the cabbage that came on the burger.
The fries come with a choice of three different seasonings. The 12 spice was good and not particularly spicy, in terms of heat.
There are sauces for .55$ each. I tried the Japanese Mayonnaise, which tasted a little creamier than American mayo and the Tonkatsu Sauce which was compared to BBQ sauce, but isn't quite as bold. There are quite a few other sauces to try.
Their drink selection includes Calpico Japanese beverages, soda, fountain drinks and milkshakes. I had a Calpico White Peach drink which was delicious.
They have a full bar bit this apparently seems closed down due to Covid.
There currently is no inside seating available. Despite this, the place was pretty busy on a Friday night. The food came quickly (between 5 and 10 mins) and was still warm after the walk home to eat it.
Mac Patterson
Honestly just very good food, never disappointed when I go!
violentcupcake
First time having a katsu burger, it was amazing! 😄 …
Tessa Hill
I pick up Doordash orders from here pretty often, they're great! The food looks amazing, the vibe is on point. Super respectful and great prices for the size, I'd definitely recommend bringing my family here once they open up the place to dine-in! 😁 Keep up the great work y'all! Can't wait to try the food. …
Minh
Good. Different. Tried the Ninja Burger, I would've liked a little more sauce. The fries taste like McDonald's fries.
Zheng-Rong Li (Tiger Li)
Every time I visited Seattle I always had burger here. This time we ordered a Classical Tokyo and an Umami Wagyu. First, they were huge. They were made with high-quality meat, vege, and bread. Second, the meat was perfectly seasoned and fried. It had a crispy outside and a very tender, juicy inside. The wasabi coleslaw was a unique side dish (in a good way). It differs from the usual coleslaw made with mustard. It was refreshing, awaking, nicely balancing the greasy burger. Highly recommended.
Yoon Jeong
cool fusion place. the katsu inside the burgers are very good, nori ranch is a genius dipping sauce idea. milkshakes are a little on the pricier side but the green tea one is very tasty. i didn't like the wasabi edamame coleslaw too much
Stacy Hillard
I call these specialty burgers - Godzilla. Come sit and chill, cool place, cool atmosphere.
Michael Arthur
Cool burger joint with a chill vibe. Great selection of different Katsu burgers with varying toppings. Very filling!
Andres Aponte
Firest burgers y’all seriously I’m from Miami and you know that we don’t mess around with our food in the 305 know what I’m sayin’? This place is POPPIN y’all and they even put a fried egg inside your shadizzle bruh. Exquisite, perfect for a tinder date, if yo momma’s in town, live on the east side and wanna bring a side chick, doesn’t really matter. Slide!
Tobias Schwall
delicious, just great!
the mixture of burger and asian fits perfectly!
only the wasabi sauce was not mine.
Long Hoang Nguyen
The nori Fries were not as impressive but the burger was great
Marissa Palacios
I highly recommend the Samurai burger. The sweetness of the pineapple and the punch of wasabi mayo it the perfect flavor combination!
Dillon Phamdo
This place has great modern vibes to it! The burgers are unique and taste delicious. It has hipster vibes and the food is delicious.
Chiranth Hegde
Love this place. Perfect twist on Japanese fried sandwich and a burger. I had the sake cocktails which we're really good. The Godzilla burger wasn't overly spicy for me. The burgers are a bit tall and super filling. Very chill atmosphere.
Kayli Robles
I enjoyed my burger! Of course wish there were more veggie burgers, but not really a complaint. My only complaint is that they didnt really listen to my order when I put it in, like I asked for extra pickles and got like 3 pickle slices (what, instead of 2? 😂). But the lady who took my order was kind which I appreciate! …
Kathryn Dreitzler
Such a unique burger, very, very good! Indoor seating was open, but limited. It seemed like the do a lot of take out order so be patient for your order.
John Bilbo
Nothing bad about the establishment, but the food and restaurant didn't impress me either.
Brian “Diva” Cox
Place: @katsuburger
City: Seattle WA
Food: teriyaki chicken burger (deep fired)
Interesting place.. staff was very friendly, music was fun, food was served super hot , fries were too crunchy not a soft crisp .. tables were clean.. and best part unlimited Jones soda :) their type of ranch has flakes of seaweed so it tastes like fish.. I put it on my burger..and I sad this must be what a crabby Patty taste like haha.. #chefbriandivacoxreview
Woongkee Baek
If you like katsu, or if you like burger, this place is one of the must-goes. Katsu sauce and wasabi sauce are good combination with any katsu burgers.
Kevin j
Katsu burgers are a new thing for me and I'm so glad I went. Staff was very friendly explaining things to me, made suggestions that saved me money and they bring your food to the table. Dark setting, cool blues music, awesome mosaic art, and not very loud. While the fries seem to be just plain frozen fries the 4 different spices you can choose to have in them is amazing! I recommend the spicy or curry fries! Great milkshakes as well.
Caitlin Hanson
The first bite of my burger from Katsu Burger was an, "oooh, this is new... wait is this delicious or just complex" type of bite. Then I had a second and third bite and decided that it was not only complex, but absolutely delicious. And the 12 spice fries, so yummy! I'm new to working in Capitol Hill and exploring the neighborhood in a pandemic is tricky, but I'm so glad I stumbled across this place! Good burger, good fries, good atmosphere and safety precautions for the pickup. My food paired perfectly with a cold Sapporo.
Mari Vel
I've never had a bad meal from here! Their burgers are tasty and unique. Their fries are always prepared to perfection!
Christopher W. Morris
Large selection of craft burgers and different flavors of fries, with dipping sauces. This place is real trendy and cool. I had the Godzilla, which was supposed to be spicy but was very mild to my jalapeno heavy diet. 12 spice fries and their speciality ranch were tasty and the root beer was good too. Overall a good experience.
Ollie
They are so nice! After robotics at my school I always go and get a milkshake and after awhile, they started recognizing me and now we have conversations! I can confirm that the shakes are awesome 👌 …
Albert Baloiu
It was ok. Not sure about the deep fry situation but overall it's...ok. wagyu burger was, again, ok.
Thabata Regiani
We love Katsu, because it is the only place I know that will give you a thick slab of fried tofu in place of your "burger". The flavors are very unique and the portions very generous.
I recommend the curry fries with whatever you order - although the curry burger (with tofu, of course) is a favorite.
Adi
Great fries. Incredible Croquette. But the burger... the meat is great, but the bread to meat ratio is wayyyy too high. Thiccc bread, but thin patty. I expected a ~1 inch thick patty but it's more like 1cm. Fix this one detail and you have reached perfection.
samwise
Great burger variety if you fancy interesting flavors and Japanese inspired infusions. If not, hey, they can make a regular burger for you too! Definitely planning to go back and sample some bites that are a bit more out of my comfort zone.
John Cousart
Great take on Japanese fusion would go again. They also have a Jones soda machine.
Kunal
My daughter love this place and she took us there on our short trip to Seattle. We ordered 3 different burgers with all the sides and we loved each one of them. The fries are as they should be thin cut, yellow fried and crispy. Nice place to eat if you want good food and hungry. The size is big. The price is at par..
Evan Blankenship
I had the Tokyo classic burger, the katsu curry burger, and the godzilla attack burger. All were pretty good - fav was probably godzilla attack burger for the minor kick. Great to pick up here and enjoy at Cal Anderson park. I'd come here again.
Ang G
Here to try all the uniqueness of Seattle. Katsu popped up as a thing that's popular. We all got different items. The curry fries were phenomenal. The Nori fries were also good. We all liked the wasabi sauce. The bread and toppings on the burgers were generous and well out together. They get messy. This is carry out only and online ordering. There's nowhere really to eat in the vicinity. Kind of inconvenient. This place is worth a try. Afterwards I think you'd have to be craving a deep-fried hamburger to go again. Service is fast and efficient. Everything was nicely packaged and put together.
Liz Toff
The black sesame milkshake was the surprise winner of the night. So so good with sort of a peanut buttery taste. My fiancé got the Mt. Fuji burger which is basically everything they put on their burgers combined. I got the Curry Katsu burger which was good but I probably wouldn't get it again if I were to go back. Their dipping sauces were also pretty good and they had a nice variety that could be paired with their fries. Cool casual place with a good amount of seating and a Jones soda fountain.
Ryan Paredez
Came here for lunch and I got the katsu curry with chicken and it was so bomb. It looks big, but the bun is light and was solidly filling.
My boo for the teriyaki burger and while it was good (I tried it) I think the curry won that round.
I'd definitely come back to this place to try out different burgers and proteins.
Tyler R
Had the tofu miso honey mustard. It was huge and the picture doesnt do it justice for size. It was sooo gooood. Wow.
Jeremy Hawkins
I liked it. I think you go through a roller coaster while eating the burger where with the first bite you're like "this so crispy and crazy! What is this?" to "oh man, is there too much going on?" to "this *is* in fact, a hamburger." They're very big, I recommend starting out with their standard/classic burger.
Ang Jiao
We had Fuji Mountain burger, is really good!
Demgphi x
Really fun place for a burger. Nice atmosphere, interesting food, and a Jones soda machine, hell yeah :)
Alexandra Geesman
I had the Godzilla beef Katsu burger which sadly wasn’t that spicy. Fast service and overall delicious. The Katsu patty had the perfect juicy inside and crunchy outside. The wasabi coleslaw also wasn’t /that/ hot. I loved the nori fries! Curry fries not so much though.
Serina Gee
Cute decor, though it's a little dark inside. Burgers are affordable and thick, and the combos with the nori fries are definitely worth it. They come with a variety of sauces you can pick, including spicy mayo and tonkotsu. Overall, I've tried 4 different burgers from here and they've been pretty decent each time.
Rachel F
Always delicious! Very bold flavors, I love the curry fries with nori ranch! All of their shakes are amazing, but the black sesame always wins in my book! As far as the burgers go, their pork and beef Katsu burgers are delicious but too rich for me. The chicken Katsu burger is just right, my go to is the teriyaki chicken Katsu burger - so good!
Roman Kukhotskiy
Burgers taste amazing and the fries are true to their name, best I've ever tried. Fast service, great taste, fair prices.
Also be prepared to pass out after this deep fried monstrosity. Either prepare for a nap or go straight to the coffee shop because it hits hard.

Always enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. When friends visit Seattle, this place is one of the first burger joints we visit. Reason for 4* is when I order to-go, there's usually something off. Asked for chicken, got beef. Another time I asked for no tomatoes, and got tomatoes. Same for the dipping sauce. Sometimes it's not the one you asked for. Do a quick check of your food before you go if you're picky on these things. To-go bag is almost always stapled shut, so ask for it not to be done when you're ordering and if you plan to check your food.
Justin
Katsu Curry burger and the 12 spice fries with miso honey mustard is too good. And the sesame shake is super interesting and tastes great. Highly recommend this place
a hi
They have Jones soda on tap...
Wasn't busy when we went so not a long wait for food. Tofu burger...yes tofu...was really good for it being tofu. A bit thick and really filling. But overall great. Fries were good also with seasoning. Will definitely be back.
Sebastián Godoy
Outstanding. Hands down the best burger I had in Seattle. The beer wasn't behind: really good!
Nicole Solano
BF and I got takeout, the teriyaki burger and the katsu burger. Boyfriend liked the katsu burger but wished it had more of the curry sauce on it. Was a little dry. We both agreed that the teriyaki burger wasn't very good. The chicken was bland and it was pretty overpowered with the taste of pineapple. So, not great but not terrible either overall.
Niti Gupta
Vegetarian Review: I had tofu burger and it was really wholesome and yummy. The sauces make a difference so pick wisely or if you want to try more sauces, get them on the side. There is only one option so if you prefer more than one option as a vegetarian then this place is not for you. If you are craving for a vegetarian burger and don’t mind tofu, then this has all the flavors and you can make it less or more spicy depending on your taste.
Sean Happenny
Delicious burger and good atmosphere for a quick bite or hanging for awhile with friends. Big portions for a good value.
Gyaru Supremacy
I just went to Katsu Burger for the first time recently. The staff were professional and helpful and the restaurant was clean. I had the Ninja Deluxe. It was incredibly tasty as were the sauces and sides that it came with. If you like japanese fusion and good burgers you should definitely check out Katsu Burger
Richard Dizon
Great concept for a Japanese restaurant! Taking that first bite in these massive burgers make for a crazy workout for your mouth. If your appetite is big enough, you'll leave this place quite satisfied. Admittedly, you could easily get away with sharing one of their burgers over a side of fries. Finishing one feels like a chore once you've neared the end of the burger so don't be surprised if you find yourself packing away the leftovers for another meal. I'd recommend getting a variety of the sauces to try with some friends to go with their fries!
rockford faurot
Overall good, but not the tastiest burger you can get. It would be good drunk food.
Thomas Perez
Food was good. The burger was bigger than I anticipated and very tasty. I ordered one with a fried egg, the egg was maybe more well-done than I would have liked but it was probably less messy as a result. One thing, though, is that it would have been really good with a beer. They do serve beer here but I was told that it was "too busy" to serve beer at the time. Is that a Seattle thing?? The worst part was that the cashier who told me this was clearly very frazzled and stressed out, yet the restaurant was easily more than half empty. Two parties, in fact, we're wrapping up (you can see them leaving in my photo). The bar was completely deserted except for one patron. There was a single party behind us in line.
So... Was it too busy or were they short staffed? And, more importantly, why are either of those reasons not sell me beer? I waited a few minutes before my order was taken at the counter. Would it have been that devastating to make the people behind me wait the extra minute or two it would have taken to get a beer from the tap 10 feet away? I don't get it.
The cashier then brought us our food, the order was slightly wrong. I guess they were short staffed then.
Connor J
Kinda expensive but the food and sodas here are pretty good. Expect to spend 15-20 dollars per person for a burger, fries, and a drink.
Kelly Doser
Inventive commercial store with a great selection of 'out of the ordinary' burgers and fries. The burgers were well made and assembled, with a variety of quality proteins available. There were several options for seasoning the fries - all great! There are a lot of choices for burgers in Seattle, and this one just landed in my top 3.
Adam Simpson
Large portions of very tasty Japanese themed burgers, with Jones sodas, Japanese soft drinks, a variety of fries, and unique toppings for a burger. Currently take-out only due to COVID19, but has a bar area that we will have to try out once it's open
Alex Omar
I really want to like this and I really want to give it 5 stars. For the record all my friends love this place. I'm not a picky eater in any sense but the food was.. alright. There's a *ton* to choose from and if you're adventurous you'll love this place. I personally did not like my dish but I will go back to try more things.
Carel Neffenger
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Everything is served Katsu style, which is exactly what I wanted. I had a Tokyo Classic, which is their original burger, with lots of trimmings. The curry fries were excellent, not too overpowering and flavorful. I especially liked that the soda machine (self-serve) was all Jones soda -- the local favorite. Reasonably priced, but just a nightmare of parking. Unfortunately, the off-street parking lots are too expensive to just make this a destination spot. However, if you're headed to the Northwest Film Forum, be sure to eat here, first.
Daniel C Evans
Simply nothing else like it. Perhaps on the expensive side for a burger, yet somehow still value for money. Katsu Burger's unique flavor combination might sound strange on paper, but any reservations vanish after a single bite into these enormous burgers. Other things, like the spiced fries, tasty sauces, and Jones Soda fountain take an already outstanding experience and push it over the edge to transcendent. An easy 5/5
Timothy Christman
Place stopped surviving alcohol due to COVID
You get 4 stars when you start serving alcohol again.
You get 5 stars when you fix your taps
Jonathon Roscoe
Love the burgers, they are just as big as they look on the menu. The couple times I have ordered over Uber eats my burger has come in a box with the toppings all in their own separate containers. Genius idea as it keeps the vegetables crisp and fresh and you can put on everything you want.
Matt Perrone
A good sized menu for food and drinks, an upbeat atmosphere and good service. Their food is a little expensive for what it is in my opinion but is still worth the try. The burgers are definitely huge though which makes up for the price, and they have some good sauces too. The staff is nice and they have ample seating too.
Desmond Saisitthidej
Really good service and shake fries and burgers are really good at an okay price 2 burgers and one order of fries around $30 after tip. The burgers are massive ask them to cut them in half for you! They also sell some import drinks like sake or Asahi/Sapporo Beer. Watched Michigan State ruin my bracket :'(
Clavinohou
Great place to get some lunch. Fries are very good and i reccomend adding nori (which is free). Burgers all cost around $10 and fries are $4 i think
Richard W
The nori fries make the meal. Fun atmosphere. Just try the Tokyo Classic for starters. Yum.
Sion Astra
Most fun we have had at a burger bar since they created patties. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is tremendous amount of positive energy. Katsu style chicken and beef patties were stellar! Definitely coming back here!
Melinda S
It’s the Japanese take on an American classic!
I’ve been to other Katsu burgers before and I have to say aesthetically, this location was the best. It’s way bigger than the Bellevue and Georgetown location, slightly more mature with mood lighting and a bar, and when I went... it was 80’s jams all night, who could pass that up?
Onto the food—I got the wabi wasabi with nori fries and Japanese mayo dipping sauce. I’m trying to cut down on my beef consumption, so I loved that they were able to sub out the standard beef katsu on this burger for chicken katsu with no cost or hassle. I believe they also have a tofu katsu for non meat eaters which is nice. The fries and sauce were delicious! I’m looking forward to trying the curry mayo, wasabi mayo, or spicy mayo next time... so many options.
The burger itself was good, about $9, but it was HUGE. Not a bad thing, but midway through the meal, it was a struggle to keep it from falling apart. Tip: only unwrap half of the burger wrapped to keep your hands clean and your burger together. That was my mistake.
I also got their special caramel apple milkshake for $6. Pricy? Yes. Would I order it again? Also yes.
I docked one star because after I paid, their was no way for me to get my receipt. They have one of those new tablet looking cashiers and usually there is an option for a paper or emailed receipts, however, for all 3 transactions I made, the screen refreshed immediately after so I couldn’t select them. I’m a person who likes to budget and keep track of these things, so it was a little bothersome. Not too big of a deal though.
If I’m ever craving a burger in Capitol Hill again, you know where I’m eating...
Robert Kjemhus
Burger (waygu) was great, fries (with nori) were better
Daniel Loo
Ordered takeout from here - it’s a solid choice if you want to transgress yourself with a greasy, heavy overload of food - but is nothing special. I got the ohayou goziamasu, pork banzai bites, chocolate milkshake, and fries. The milkshake was the best of the meal. The burger was heavy and satisfied my needs but nothing special. Fries were particularly disappointing - they are basically McDonald’s fries - I would expect more for $5.
Curtis Nelson
Very good (monstrous!) burgers... and they have booze, too! Also a very good value in this town.
Their basic burger is $8.50 and it's huge.
Loved this place for years.
Morgan Rilling
Very cool concept and great indulgent food! I got the Tokyo Burger and Green Tea Shake and thoroughly enjoyed. Large chill space as well. Check out Katsu when you’re looking for an indulgent and creative burger joint!
Frankie Godoy
Best place to go when you want a burger, but not like a “burger”. Some of the best chill bites in the neighborhood.
Elora Hoberecht
This place is amazing! There's cool art on the walls, (most of which is available for purchase) Jones soda on tap, quirky commercials advertising their food on the TV screens, and of course the food is incredible! There's a lot of food at a great price, and it's absolutely delicious. The wagyu beef burger is a must-have and I highly encourage everyone to try the nori fries!
Alden Dearborn
I haven't been there myself, but I ordered a gift card from them and they were incredibly helpful, given I am all the way across the country. They stayed in the phone with me to make sure I got it, and that everything worked. I'll definitely be stopping by for a burger when I'm out there! They obviously have amazing customer service and I'm glad I chose them to buy from.
Eva
Katsu burger is a really chill burger & bar joint. I tried the Ninja Deluxe burger and the Bonzai Bites combo. Both were delicious. The pork in the burger was moist and the sauce was light. And the spicy mayo sauce complimented the Bonzai Bites well. Would definitely recommend this place!
Unicorn Coyote
I enjoyed the Miso Honey Tofu burger. The service was excellent and the selection of Jones sodas were fun to try. My husband did not care for the whole concept of the way the patties are made. To each their own!
Zachary Coon
Beautiful chill place.
I come here once a week for my burger cravings.
I often say to surprise me, and the food is always amazing.
Good for singles, couples, groups, and I love them.
Don Chua
Nice people, no indoor dining at this time. Food was good and fresh. The burger is tasty and quite large and nori fries are good.
Maria Delos Reyes
Really great burger - it’s a must to try it :)
Elton c
If you've ever been to a convenience store in Japan and had the opportunity to eat a Katsu sandwich there, this is it, but Americanized and Burgerized for the better!
The Katsu is tender and crisp while the buns are springy. The sauce is flavorful but not overpowering.
Ninja deluxe was dang good, I have to say
Anudeep Jayaram
I had the katsu curry burger here. Got it with the curry fries. The burger was huge lol. I was debating on needing an extra patty but glad I didn’t get one. The taste was awesome!
Maria Raiford
Interesting idea. Fried. Burger. Or chicken or pork or a host of other things. Pictured is the Mt. Fuji that was shared between two people but easily could have been split by more less hungry eaters or as an accompaniment to multiple orders of their very unique fries as it's 3 fried patties (1 chicken, 1 beef, and 1 pork), egg, slaw, cheese, onion, pickles, and sauces. The chicken patty that we had was very tough and almost rubbery as I've discovered some chicken is apt to do when cooked, but I think that was likely a fluke.
Alley Stonestreet
This place was fantastic! We were feeling indecisive and the interesting combo of burgers and Asian flavors drew us in. The teriyaki chicken burger made me want to add pineapple to every burger I eat in the future! And don't get me started on those sauces! The nori ranch was my favorite, because being from the Midwest means one thing: ranch on all the things. Seriously, get that with the curry powder fries--you will not be disappointed. Next time I'm in Seattle, I'll be back for round 2.
Chance Buck
First day of my new job and I wanted to try something new in this part of town. If you’re a burger connoisseur and want an $8-$14 burger that is worth it’s money, this is the place. Super friendly staff as well
Andrew Hopt
I found the Lynnwood location of KB first, but I try to visit the Capitol Hill location as often as possible. My favorite is the Katsu Curry burger :)
Be prepared, you may need to press your burger flat enough to hold in two hands, they stack them gloriously tall in here.
Great flavor contrast between the coleslaw topping and the hot katsu chicken breast, and I love the curry sauce. I haven't found anything like this in another burger place, and if I did I'm sure it wouldn't be as good as KB makes it.
Best with a Jones Soda or your favorite Japanese beer.
osibike4dias
Favorite Japanese Burger place with a twist.like me you'll find yourself coming back over and over for the unique style of these burgers. With names like the Godzilla and Mt. Fuji everyone's appetite will be quenched. The two locations I've visited are in Factoria and recently opened Capitol Hill who offers a bar inside their location. You won't regret your visit.
Chris Wallace
Very unique selection of burgers and fries! You gotta try the Godzilla, it was absolutely delicious. If you are near Seattle University, this needs to be on your to-do list.
Fernando Neuenschwander
They have two locations. As far as Katsu Burgers go, this is legit. I lived in Japan for 3 years and it's spot on. I want to give the Caphill location 5 stars... but the MUSIC they play is torturous. Backstreet boys and the worst of the 90s and early 2000's. I'm sticking to the second location. Still, highly recommend the food at both. Top notch. Honestly, the music borderline ruins it. Get a to-go or carryout.
Melanie Vartanian
The staff was super patient while I was antagonizing over what to get. But, everything on the menu is delicious! I recommend replacing whatever type of meat is in the "standard" order for an tip with the pork katsu. So good! They are giant, so a side isn't really necessary.
E
Hard to not like! Comfort food in comfortable space.
Josh Wiitanen
Amazing in every way. fast courteous service.
The burgers are deep fried katsu style and come.out so moist and delicious i could eat it daily. good atmosphere and great beer top it off.
will come everytime I'm in Seattle
Brian Lee
Love getting burgers from here. Super easy to order online for pick up. They let you customize in many different ways. The milkshakes are also great!
James Liu
A restaurant I wish was in more locations! The food they cook is unique: can't find it anywhere else. Every time I am in Seattle, I always make time to grab some of their savory burgers.
Josie Espindola
Love the burgers but wasn't too much of a Jones drink fan, honestly craved a Dr.Pepper with my burger, not much of a kids variety but its my favorite place to go to when in Seattle!
Brody Willis
Some months ago, owing to some distressing housing circumstances, I began to worry about two things: my physical fitness and my protein intake. Of all the things I had to worry about, protein seemed curiously top of mind. So, somewhere along the way, I started eating meat again. Hell, I was surreptitiously eating cheese, why not...surreptitiously eat meat, too?
There were competing feelings of guilt and satisfaction in doing something I wanted no one to see while I presented myself as the vegan/vegetarian I had actually happily been for many years. But that's the funny thing about housing instability: you have nowhere to cook. When I had a place to live, I could regularly visit the grocery store, and choose the healthiest options, largely because I had a kitchen. Poverty due to bad life choices took care of that, and eventually, I made unfortunate compromises. Explicitly, Taco Bell and Domino's, both of which are awful, because I know how to cook and how to eat healthily.
One day recently, I visited a friend for a gathering of fellow filmmakers, and I had the opportunity to cook for the first time in months. Among the components was chicken. And I ate some. My friend saw this, and remarked on it, but I didn't take it amiss because we know each other, and I knew better than to feel ashamed.
But it made me think: all those occasions when I actually chose to eat meat (and eggs, which precipitated weird, constipated symptoms) began to slowly feel like a forced feeding, which I did not enjoy. Not even one encounter with the legendary Dick's Burgers brightened my mood. I finally came to the realisation that meat (still not off cheese as of this writing) is not for me.
I refuse to make anyone ashamed of their food choices: you want to eat meat and dairy? Go for it. I really don't care. It's legal, and it's your life to live.
But during my time in the abyss, I did make one, last foray into the land of cooked flesh: Katsu Burger.
My financial fortunes (if not my housing ones) began to improve somewhat, so I decided to splurge: why not try the Ohio Gozaymasu burger? Panko-encrusted beef topped with a fried egg and all sorts of other goodies. Surely, this would be heaven! The Honey Miso burger I usually ordered was certainly satisfying and flavourful, how much more so could be this gargantuan monstrosity? (I greedily ordered the tofu burger, anyway, just for good measure, and also got the Sumo Size, with chicken Banzai Bites, 12-spice fried potatoes and wasabi coleslaw - totally decadent!)
And to my surprise, upon sinking my teeth into the Ohio Gozaymasu, I was.....underwhelmed?
The beef and panko combination struck my tongue like a soggy dish sponge, with a similar taste affecting my palate. The egg did not help. It was bland and lacking utterly in character. Honestly, the Banzai Bites were better, despite my growing regret in eating them, too.
All the burgers are cooked medium; you cannot order a specific temperature, which for those of you who are meat connoisseurs, this is sacrosanct in the enjoyment of meat and game. I used to order medium rare, which an even smaller subset of beef devotees might understandably consider sacrilegious. Medium-cooked burgers taste of styrofoam and sadness. Anything more deserves the tar and feather treatment to the offending person.
But the Miso Honey burger was everything I had expected it to be: toothsome, rich, varied in its flavour profile, and satisfyingly crisp to the bite. That and the marvellous 12-spice fried potatoes (yes, I admit to overindulging) made the meal complete.
So, why four stars for Katsu Burger? Their Capitol Hill location is clean and welcoming, with a splendid view of the street (or rather, the Ferrari show-room). Their staff are friendly and warm, without seeming overly-familiar. I like the graffiti murals and the dark lacquered wood tables. And doggonit, I just really love the looping video of a burger being lovingly made. I'm gleefully jealous of the person who made that video - I could tell the Katsu Burger gig was nothing but splendour for them.
Denise Nguyen
It was decent. Was really excited for it but wasn't blown away by the burger I got
Tyler Tetrault
This place gave me a good refresh from my time in Japan. the portions were HUGE, but not overwhelming. The clerk behind the counter was friendly and helpful on recommendations. The artwork on the walls was fun to look at while waiting for your food. i was surprised by the diveristy of items to choose from on the menu, also the selection one could get for your burger. if you do not have an alergy or religous restriction on pork or wheat (all meat is breaded, you can sub the pork for beef or other meat), make the katsu curry burger the first burger you get there, it has curry on the burger, get the curry seasoned fries to go with it, it was a great combo. for the amount of food i got, and timeliness of its arrival to my seat after ordering at the counter, and the quality; I feel like i underpaid. i will definetly go there again when i am in the area.
Kimx Stacy
Trendy modern Burger joint with a Japanese twist. What they do here is take a classic Japanese dish Katsu and put it on a bun. Japanese fusion. Popular with the college students. They have other great burgers and the like with refreshing sauces and trendy names. They offer non GMO and grass fed proteins. You should try their Curry fries. Delivery through Doordash. The place is so "Kawaii" 😄
Elisabeth “Libby” Chapman
I got the Ninja Special, pork katsu burger. Giant Burger, very messy. Be prepared to lick your fingers for the katsu sauce. The Honey Miso Dijon sauce for the fries is where it's at. The Fries are almost shoestring, with fun toppings like nori(dried seaweed). All around good food, not fast service so be prepared to wait a bit. Totally worth the wait though. Take a seat, check out the mural on the back wall. Enjoy the experience.
Pavel Panchekha
Great burger joint. I've found that the pork burgers are superior to their beef burgers, so I'd recommend the Katsu Curry. Also, this place has some hipster soda brand, and it's delicious!
Zane Burton
Delicious burgers. They’re deep fried, so the calorie count has to be off the charts, but they’re a well-deserved treat after a particularly taxing hike or bike ride.
Shinya Takahashi
An authentic Katsu burger! Their fires are great!
Jongseung Lim
If you love katsu and also love burgers, you'll definitely enjoy this place. 🍤🍔 …
Kierra Neher
I have seen perfection, and then eaten it.
I came in for the first time and the man at the cashier was super nice and helpful when I wasn't sure which burger to get. I got the katsu curry burger.
It came out pretty quickly and every single bite was amazing. The pork katsu was perfectly crunchy the whole time. They had the perfect balance between the flavors and amounts of sauce, katsu patty, cabbage, and everything else in there even the pickles! (I'm usually pretty anti-pickle.)
The burger also kept together up to the last two bites, which is always appreciated.
5/5 would katsu burger again
A F (Pochemu2)
The burgers are a giant and fatty comfort food portion neatly wrapped in white paper. Not the most delicious burgers out there but definitely some of the most comfortable.
Lily Kim
Went in on a rainy Tuesday night for some post-brewery chow. Loved katsu sandos in Tokyo so I figured this would be similar. The burger (Tokyo classic burger)is definitely 100% an all American beef patty but deep fried tonkatsu style. I would recommend getting a side of 12 spice fries and curry mayo-the mayo is delicious on the burger. This restaurant sells some Japanese beer, sake, and plum wine as well. All in all a very satisfying meal.
Ren Natividad
This place is amazing! It's not like any other burgers you've ate before - a mixture of Asian and American Diner cultures. I suggest this place if you are a fan of wasabi!
Dennis Cao
Really enjoyed their umami wagyu burger. The breading did really well to stay together with the meat being so juicy and tender. Also had a bite of their Wasabi burger which I also really liked. Their nori fries with nori ranch did well to compliment the big burger.
Ian Hutcheson
Quirky spot, burgers are uniquely great. Weird combinations of flavors that end up working well. Jones Soda on draft, which is fun. Worth the visit!
Daelan Galindo
Burger was very nice, albeit a bit greasy, juicy and crispy. I got the samurai select and it was a very nice contrast in flavors, however the fries were underwhelming and reminded me of McDonald's fries
eamon rasmussen
I'm a huge fan of the franchise, and I've been going to Katsu burger in Georgetown for years, so I was excited to see that there was a new one much closer to me. But when I went here I had to deal with an incredibly rude and condescending employee who treated me and my friend very badly.
Jeff Bennett
I totally thought I ate at plum bistro across the street but Google informed me that I alas actually was eating at Katsu Burger the whole time. I was super confused for a while when I saw my Google notification to leave a review for Katsu, but after much thought - I can only admit that I was wrong and that I did indeed have an amazing portabello mushroom buffalo burger from this place.
HeeroAOD
Great katsu style deep fried burgers. These burgers are delicious and massive. Bring your appetite for taste bud pleasure!
Dan K Chen
What’s a unique take on fusion burger, I love it. You get to taste the American and Japanese fusion burger, with Japanese breading on the Burger patty , and Japanese teriyaki sauce and veggies, it’s very different in a good way.
On-Point Motors LLC
The best burgers ever!! We will for sure take the 3 hour trip again to get one of these in our belly’s!! So so delicious!!
Michael F
Delicious menu. I wish they had spots in southern California.
April Lynn
First off the burger was bigger than my face and that was awesome enough. Second, if you enjoy Japanese style flair on a burger you will love this place. Eclectic combinations for sure.
John Tippins
I love this place! Ive had several of their burgers but the best deal is the chotto snack. Panko nuggets, fried and a drink for under $10
Sebrina Thompson (SerinaSayu)
Ordered the katsu bites, good little dry and also the strawberry cheesecake milkshake super good. Friends ordered burgers which were huge!. Great place to chill.
Kristin Thornton
A crunchy burger, to-go, from Capitol Hill to Interbay...no, it's not madness. After a long day of work and Valentine's Day shopping, the hubby and I decided to split the Tokyo tower (one pork, one beef patty) in the comfort of our own home; first bite, we were astonished to find that both patties were STILL crunchy after the ~20 minute drive home!
Words really can't describe the awe-inspiring deliciousness to be had at Katsu Burger every time we go! (My mouth is even salivating as I write this, a day after partaking in all of it's crispy burgerness.)
The crunch of the patty is worth the trip to any of their locations. Your choice of beef, pork, chicken, or tofu is complimented perfectly by the--somewhat--intimidating amount of cabbage (removal dependant on eater's bite radius); the yet with every bite, **crunchcrunch** never getting soggy, it's AMAZING!
Shabab Rahman
Good burgers (Tokyo Tower) and fries. Their katsu sauce is very good as well. Their staff is friendly with quick service. It a bit pricy but their portion is good
Charlie Liu
By far the best burgers you'll ever have in Seattle. Usually people rave about Dick's burgers just because they've been here since the beginning of time, but Katsu Burgers will take over soon.
Jordan M
The place definitely delivers on the wow factor with a katsu burger and large quantities. The food was good. There are many different burger options with different types of meat or even veggie patties.
Jade Harley
Excellent pumpkin spice shake seemingly all year round, and a very juicy pork katsu "burger". cool sodas in the soda fountain too!
Zach Kissinger
I've had really good things here (chicken terriyaki and the spicy pork). But the beef burgers are just meh. I like the vibe, location, and Jones soda machine. Customer service is okay.
Alicia Love
As a vegetarian, this is one of my favorite places. It's nice to be able to order a giant burger (with tofu) sometimes if only for the experience. And that curry mayo is choice.

Incredibly delicious and totally unique burger experience. Worth going out of your way for. But it is HEAVY so be forewarned. Bring your appetite. A+++
Thomas Tseng
Their katsu by itself is pretty good. Putting it in a burger just makes it better! Nori fries are good. Go for the Mt Fuji if you ain't weak.
Justin Grasse
Great Tofu Katsu burgers for vegetarians! And so many great Asian inspired spices and sauces for all the massive burgers. Definitely great for a weekend lunch in cap hill
Stephan Stetina
Very good burgers, the fries are not so inspiring thought
Phillip B
Omg this place is so good. I would give it more stars if I could. Generous portions and unique, delicious recipes. Various sauces, many made in-house. Friendly staff and great atmosphere!
Ryan Schmit
Must have easy meal while visiting.
Christopher Jones
Great location with the same great food. The Jones Soda fountain is a nice touch. A+ for the atmosphere and food. I always look forward to going to Capitol Hill so I stop by.
Lucas Atencio
Good food. The burgers are big and if you sump size it is enough food to share. Right in Capitol Hill, so close to bars and clubs around. Decent beer menu.
Richard Mailhot
Maybe I just had a bad experience, but I wasn't that impressed. My girlfriends chicken was super dry, the katsu wasn't very crisp, and the sauces were just kinda meh. Wasn't awful, but won't be rushing back.
Joe Prime
Great food and funky atmosphere
Throway Email
I give it a 5/5, everything about this restaurant is amazing. The vibe is super cool and unique, the food and the way that it is served and presented is visually pleasing. The food is also absolutely fantastic too.
Kathleen Buchmeier
LOVE KATSU BURGER!!
Amazing Japanese style burgers and fries with innovative toppings and sauces.
Everyone in Seattle needs to go here!
EK Powell
Fun place great variety of food combinations.
Alexandra Hunter
Katsu burger has a wonderful mix of Japanese and American food for a great price. The decor is really cool as well.
Rueben Otero
They're fast and delicious, the best burgers in town.
Android's Art
the godzilla burger is literally the best burger in the world this place is insanely op when it comes to food. wow X 100
Christopher Gyurnek
The Godzilla Attack was intimidating; I’d never expected such a high pile of cabbage. The 12-season fries and the wasabi cole slaw were such good co-stars that they almost stole the show.
Saket Saurabh
Burger was of great taste and also large in size. Tried the tofu patty and it was very good. Awesome place to eat.
Louis Brewer
burgers, super satisfying. filled me up in no time. the service was sociable and attentive. they have so many good reviews for a reason.
sura kalyan
The best burger I've had in a long time. Delicious and filling. The vibe was very youthful and hip as well!
Patrick Rachford
The portions were huge. I was not expecting the food to come out that big and that good. I had a shake too that was great! Don’t pass this place up.
Tony Yee
It is OK but I don't see what the hype is about. Maybe I'm. Not a good reference for chicken burgers but it is a good value and worth a visit for first time Seattle tourists
Maryanne Stewart
Great taste and atmosphere. Would recommend splitting a burger, or prepare to take home left overs unless you are super hungry since they are humongous 🤣 …
Zachary Olsen
The food was alright. The service here was ok. I would probably go back again. The unagi burger was my favorite. Fries felt a bit over priced.
Kora Randazzo
A bit expensive (burgers are 10-13$ without drink/side) but burgers are definitely unique and worth a try. Fries were quite a bit less special than they wanted you to believe.
David Gunn
I liked the burgers. Very delicious and it is original. I would post a specific recommendation, but it seems like they are all really good.
Gina R-B
Soooo delicious. Even the tofu burger! Burgers are huge and you'll def want fries, so come with an empty stomach. And they have a JONES SODA FOUNTAIN!!!
Jim N.
Really great food. As a vegetarian, I really enjoyed the tofu. You can replace the burger in any of the signature burger options, with tofu. It is worth trying!
Brad Jones
Only knocking this place because they were badly understaffed during the lunch rush. Two people (cook and cashier) working the entire restaurant. Food is awesome but they just need more help to improve service.
Mehmet Vurkaç
So many options! (if you eat meat, which I temporarily do now): So many shakes, so many types of burgers... there are even more soda options than most places. Good stuff!
carl laegreid
If you ever feel like your heart is working too well, come house one of these monster burgers. This place has turned into a Cap Hill staple, and for good reason.
Forest Willard
Some of the best katsu I've had this side of the Pacific. Definitely a full meal, but everything is packed with flavor and a fair price for the portion.
Eric Ardito
Amazing food! Great customer service. Samantha was very knowledgeable of the menu and knew her stuff! Highly recommend this place
Michael Simpson
Great food and atmosphere! Love the Seattle/Japanese cross culture. Try the green tea milkshake, you won't regret.
Chan
I love here!
Reason for 4 stars are the price of sauces.
Their sauce prices are little bit off..
Katsu place should give katsu sauce for free at least...
Dane Wilson
Super tasty and very different from boring burgers. Prices are good too, and they have a jones soda fountain so it's fast becoming a habit for me.
John Thomson
Quick service. Great burger. Warning: Katsu means "fried". Pretty greasy, but very tasty.
Don Dol
First time diner. Fantastic, just as it is called, a katsu meal served in a burger form! Dine out/delivery only.
Wellness Lady
Pretty cool restaurant, lots of variety and interesting food options.
Parking not so easy. Prices reasonable. Alot of people like the food.
Great for college peeps.
Josh Rudis
Food is excellent. I got their only junmai sake and it was too cold. If you get sake, wait for the bottle/glass to warm up a bit.
Lesa Bentley
Teriyaki Chicken Katsu Burger Is AMAZING!!!
Jon Vosper
One of the most delicious meals I've ever eaten. Really want to go back next time I'm in Seattle.

Rich Lazar
Burger was tasty and service was quick. It can get crowded as this is a new location. They have a good selection of beers on tap.
Florin Elena Milea (Floreen)
great service, awesome food, good location, parking nearby.
Thomas Pierce
Pricey for what is basically glorified fast food. Tastes decent, but it's really nothing to write home about. Kinda fun to try, but not exactly a staple.
Jennifer Murphy
I ate the biggest big boy burger and every bite was delicious! Highly recommend (sorry I don't know it's actual name).
Yao
comfort food
Goran
Awesome crispy fried tofu as a meat alternative is amazing! Best burgers in town for sure.
Paul Grosart
I don't suggest getting beef katsu if you do, the katsu itself tends be a bit bland, though there burgers are drowned I'm sauce. The Nori fries are amazing though!
Rebecca Hendrickson
Staff were really kind and thoughtful when kids were having a hard time. Any option can be made with tofu if someone wants vegetarian food.
Heather Skeehan
Super delicious and HUGE sandwiches/burgers. The classics are on point (pork katsu). The Jones soda on tap is AWESOME!
Keith Price
Very creative place with friendly service staff. The lack of a particularly good value keeps this place from being a 5. Quality of food and taste are excellent though and I highly recommend a visit.
Hunter Camfield
This place is great every time I go. It’s super unique and has a very cool shop. Burgers are super good
Jessica Robles
one-of-a-kind burgers, super special and delicious! Get a fun milkshake too (my favorite is black sesame). Not for dieters.

chris meithof
Awesome food! Got the ninja with wagyu... DELICIOUS! Try the spicy mayo and 12 season fries
Ric Flair
First timer here at KatsuBurger. Wait time was less than 2 minutes during lunch rush. Wait time for food was less than 5 minutes. Friendly service.

Pretty good! The burger was messy and the banzai bites a little dry, but overall we enjoyed our food!
Ryan M.
Tasted great and the portions are large. Too expensive though. Pro tip, maybe make your portions a bit smaller and or drop the prices a bit.. until then, I'll pass.
Amanda
Food was delicious, but expensive. I aosp couldn't help but feel mildly annoyed that the girl behind the register was pronouncing food items incorrectly.
Shawn Foreman
Amazing food. A guaranteed stop any time I'm in town.
Y D
Awesome burgers. Can't go wrong with their crispy fries with nori and spicy mayo.

Order a Mt Fuji, you won't regret it.
