The taste of the burger and fries here is pretty good. The portion size is not as large as I'd expect but was still enough for me. Some may find it to be relatively too small. The prices are high though unfortunately or I'd frequently visit this place. I got one of the veggie burgers which had a good taste and curly fries which were super oily but tasty. Overall, would recommend.

First time here, and I immediately noticed the only guy working in the restaurant is in a pretty low spirit. Being one man and he has to handle everything happening in the place, the management should have hired more people to help running the business. I ordered the Bulgogi burger. It is obviously an Asian fusion. However it is not the kind of Bulgogi you would expect from a typical Korean restaurant. The meat is burnt, tasteless, and the sauce is overly sweet. There are food fusion done right, this is not the case here. The last issue, and probably the biggest for a lot of people, is the price. For $14 (tax and tips not included), the burger is really small. As a matter of fact, it is the smallest burger you can find among all the fast food restaurants in the neighborhood. It is literally the same size as my fist. I am not a big eater, yet I still felt hungry after finishing that burger. If you expect to have a decent meal (burger and fries, or two burger), expect to spend at least twenty bucks here. It is more expensive than any other fast food store I am aware of.

Edible but wouldn’t eat here again only the fries were good. Meat was over cooked, dry and flavorless. The ranch tastes nothing like ranch. The banana shake is made with artificial flavor. The bun is dense and firm. Not sure how you can get simple things so wrong.

First encounter ever. Loved loved LOVED my burger. They guy prepping my burger looked at me kinda funny when I asked for some mustard & ketchup. Little did I know those things were NOT necessary. The sauce is so so so yummy. Packaging/presentation was quite elevated for a "burger". Fries were good too. It's contactless so can't use cash. Was the best meal I had during my visit to Seattle. I'll go back if I get the chance.

I was in the U-District with my cousin today and we decided to have some burgers. We saw this place from across the street and decided to check it out. It was a little unusual in that you had to use a order kiosk to select what you wanted. It wasn't very user friendly, I was not able to figure out how to ask for no onions. Once we made our order we sat down and chatted. I am glad we came in, the burgers we so juicy and flavorful. The fries were so crispy and just the right amount of salty. I do wish they had a better soft drink selection. Overall I would come back again soon

The bulgogi burger is amazing!! One of the best burgers I've had. So delicious! The fries are also good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Was very happy with my experience, it was my first time here. The only concerning thing is directed towards management - why is there only one employee working? I know it's a staffing shortage everywhere but higher wages and other things are needed to retain staff. I felt really bad for the guy, he was running the whole place by himself and there were a lot of takeout orders and ppl walking in. UPDATE: tried the California burger and it is SO GOOD, this is actually the best burger I've had. It's AMAZING! Fries were meh though, stick with the burger. Happy to see more staff to help this time instead of just one person managing alone!

I loved the burgers and the sauce they use of them, I just wish they were bigger. The waffle fries are huge and very filling. There was a bit of a wait to get the food but the staff were friendly.

Just Burgers U District. I came in here a couple of times for dine in this week. I had to come rewrite my review from over a year ago. The variety of food and time/prep put into the food is visible from the seats, and you can taste it in each bite. YOU MUST CHECK IT OUT! They have a limited time bulgogi bahn mi burger that is #beastmode.

Having tried maaany burgers around the world and thinking this was a fast food chain, I was surprised with very decent burgers, perhaps the portion was not so big as I expected but quick service, very tasty house sauce and spot on meat, made up for it, the only man working in the kitchen seemed a bit overwhelmed but other than that it was great.

No exaggeration, best burger place I have ever been to. Ordered the California burger and garlic fries, and oh man was that an experience. Best burger I have had, and best fries I have had in my life. The avocado and meat in the burger were especially fresh and amazing. And they put real garlic on the fires, which is a first for me. Got the chicken katsu, excellent burger but the pricing is way off. Even after getting a $7 off coupon from grubhub I found it expensive, considering the portion size is roughly half a meal for me as a man with a lower than average appetite. Undoubtedly good quality though, and very fresh tasting

GROUNDHOG DAY! I'll do this again and again. We dropped in on a late Sunday night and bigtime over-ordered. I had the bacon cheeseburger and fry combo. My wife had the teriyaki burger and waffle-fry combo. I need to tell you that the burger sizes are generous...but...the...fries! Saying too many fries is like saying "Too much bacon". WHAT?!...Theres no such thing. But, they do serve you tons of fries, and we love fries. Both burgers were really good. They had fresh ingredients and were cooked right in front of us. My burger could have used a bit more seasoning. We also had a really good banana shake made with Umpqua ice cream. Their menu is large. See attached pic. "Just Burgers" is on the Ave in the U District right off 45th. Street parking only. Seating inside and some good music playing, I think from an employees music list. I give JB 4 out of 5 stars Like I said, we'll do this again. And again And again. And again

I really liked this place. They take mobile pay, have a lot of good Carb-y food. It’s definitely pricey but I was still having trouble figuring out just which one of their plates I would try first. Went with the coffee milkshake, burger and waffle fries. I didn’t regret it one but. I highly recommend those items. Next time I would like to try the cod. The fries are probably enough for two regular sized people. I didn’t finish more than 1/4 of them even though they were awesome. I gave them to my friend and she said they were really good.

12/12/19: Popped in really quick before a show at Neptune. Ordered the pork katsu burger, grilled mushrooms, and curly fries. Wow really big. Mushroom burger has really great flavor with the aioli and onions but was really messy. Katsu burger came with 3 slices of pork! The katsu sauce was a bit too sweet.

Been here twice so far. Food has been nothing but impeccable both times. Not a $25 burger but that's not what you're going there for. Simple burgers made right with really tasty ingredients. Can't choose wellness of your burger but have found both times that patties have been cooked medium / medium well towards the outside. Really good.

Menu selection for burgers is plentiful, as are the portions. I would totally give them 5 stars but they refused to cook the burger anything less than well done. Other than that, it was our second visit and it was better than the first. Get the waffle fries!!

The UW burger was extremely flavorful, fries were generous, and the sauces were sweet & savory at the same time! Also food was made really quickly. Kinda expensive, but if ya gotta treat someone to a good burger joint, this is the place!

These guys have no idea how to make a lettuce wrap - kind of embarrassing. EVERY other burger place I have been to knows how to use lettuce as a substitute and create it into an actual wrap that holds, without needing a fork and knife. The ranch burger was just a regular cheeseburger with ranch on the side, I thought it would be inside. Might as well buy a regular burger and ask for a side of ranch. Curly fries were great and the ingredients were okay so I’ll give them that. All this was $14, overpriced, still not good as shake shack even.

Cool place with good burgers and a large menu so don't worry about trying to find something you'll like because they have something for everyone. Personally I went with the bulgogi burger and did not regret it one bit. The marinade was melt in your mouth and the waffle fries were fresh and crispy.

Got a delicious burger with pico de gallo and nacho cheese and probably the most fries I’ve ever gotten with a combo. Pretty comparable prices to most burger places, burgers around 10 with a combo costing an extra 4, but with the amount of food you get it’s a good value, and it came out fast.

Probably the best burger in town. Their quality is pretty consistent; their burger tasted good every time I visited. If you love Swiss cheese you should definitely try out their Swiss cheese mushroom burger. Their house special fries is really flavorful and you can tell their ingredients are fresh from the taste.

The text I got after placing my order said it would be ready between 7:25-7:30 and made it seem like it wouldn’t be earlier then that. It was about 35-40 minutes from when I placed the order so I decided to run an errand beforehand thinking it would be awhile. And on the way there around 7:25 I realized I got a text at 7:11 saying my order was ready for pickup. When I picked up the food I noticed how light the bag was and thought something was missing from my order. When I opened the bag later there was nothing missing the portion sizes were just really small. For $35 for two burgers and onion rings I was expecting more. The burgers were small and the onion rings were in a small cup and there weren’t many. It felt like a snack not a meal. Everything was eaten in less then 10 minutes. The food we did get was great though! I understand prices have gone up but I felt tricked especially after the pictures on their website when you’re ordering make you think you’re getting more. The portions were about half of what the pictures showed. Wish I would have known before ordering but at least the food was good.

The atmosphere they’ve fostered here was spectacular. I really enjoyed the festive decorations they put towards the back of the restaurant. When it came to the burgers, I got a bacon cheeseburger. The burger was great and very meaty. When I took my first bite I felt satisfied. 5/5 :).

EJs holds a special place in my heart for personal reasons, but I played a fool recently and ordered seafood at EJs and that is why they get a 4 star. Call it a cautionary tale. Their burgers, fries, and shakes are all praise worthy. But the seafood is just not right. More fried than anything.

This was my first time in Just Burgers and it was amazing! So I had the chicken tenders and curly fries and I was in heaven! The new cook as it was his first day was great! They were playing hip hop music in the background and I said, Hey get boo...you playing the cuts! He started shaking it...it was so cute...lol! But the food was excellent and I am sure to go back for that Vegan burger that looked tasty, also. Thank you!!!!

Excellent Bulgolgi burger! Prices are insane though - $36 for two burgers and an italian soda. No fries. They also don't know how to make italian sodas, but they were busy and I didn't want to complain.

Ordered for take outs. Their sweet potato fries is really good. Curly fries is ok, I feel like it's lacking some flavors. The bulgogi sandwich definitely tastes like bulgogi if you were to order it from some Korean restaurant. It's a nice one. The Tenessee is just a mashup of messiness. It's good, but the regrets of eating it might come later. We were doing family style, sharing everything. I only took a small bite, it was really good, and I knew that I would regret it if I were to eat one whole thing.

Self order and pay. Cooked to order. 2 person staff so if there is a line, it will take time to cook your food. In door dining available. Cozy place. U burger and katsu burger are great. French fries are good. Pricier than other burger joints.

I got a takeout veggie burger and some regular fries on the side. The fries were pretty good, the burger however, was not worth $12. Not to mention they don't even include the fries, you have to buy them separately. Most of the ingredients on the burger seemed okay, but the lettuce could have been a little more fresh. I did find brown on the lettuce. Call me picky, but I don't exactly like my lettuce brown. Their ingredients could be fresher, and when somebody says they want a toasted bun they probably don't want it really hard, which mine was a little bit. The house sauce is really the part I think that is tasting that I wasn't enjoying too much, but maybe that's just my pinky taste buds. I think overall it was okay, but it was not worth $17. Part way through the burger I found myself crunching on something, don't know what, but I tried not to think about it too much. Hopefully it doesn't give me covid!

The bacon cheeseburger is the best burger I've ever had. Their portion and presentation is fantastic. They have fast service for such a high quality burger. Their chef is awesome and professional. Went here for a quality burger on my birthday and received just that. Highly recommend eating flaming hot Doritos with their cheeseburger. Went together nicely. Thank you for the good burger. Very fresh veggies on top. The meat like other reviewers said could be a tad bit more flavorful. However, I will be back.

One of the best burgers I've had in Seattle. The ingredients are all fresh and you're able to see them prepare the food. Ample seating. Employees are very friendly. They have a kiosk now where you can enter your order yourself, which I really like. They will help you if you need help but it's very straightforward and easy to use the system. They have THE BEST house sauce I've ever had. I'm not sure what all the ingredients are since it's a secret. It's great on fries. I've even considered getting extra things of house sauce, so that I can use it at home. Their fries hold up well, even if you get them delivered. But dining in, when you can, is the best experience.

Cute little restaurant. Out of the way for us but the food is good. I highly recommend The Tennessee and the onion rings. The onion rings are tempura, which is my preferred. The staff was nice. The older gentleman was funny and interesting to watch. 10/10

Definitely a fine burger and any place that overloads it a bit with the fries is a sure favorite for me. I had the double cheeseburger twice now and both times I wasn't disappointed. However, the place isn't kept very clean and I never sit in the back because of it. The straws are black and there's little light next to the soda machine. I was able to find it but I see people asking for straws a lot. The staff is friendly I really liked this place minus the messiness in the back.

This place seriously has the BEST burgers in Seattle! I've been ordering from here through Uber Eats since the beginning of the stay at home/quarantine began and I am obsessed with this place. I've had both the beef burgers and the chicken burgers and they're equally delicious. The curly fries, waffle fries and onion rings are super yummy too. I can't wait to visit this place in person to get the full experience but bottom line, it should be called Best Burgers instead of Just Burgers!

Great burgers and selections + open late! I prefer the California burger and it just melts in your mouth with delicious flavor. Alternative burger patties are great - though no Impossible Burger - and nice beer selection (including a hefeweizen!) Would love to give 5-stars, but the fries can be a bit weak/limp and the tables tend to always be a bit dirty.

Very clean place, great variety to choose from. The burgers are super juicy and never disappoint. The surf and turf burger is probably one of my top burgers from anywhere. Disclaimer: the burgers are big and they give you a lot of fries if you order them, but that is a good thing in my opinion. Just don't be surprised when you feel full without even touching the fries, especially if you get a shake. They get their orders out reasonably quickly, so totally doable as a quick bite. The the shakes are really good, and they have many different types of fries which I like. If you are deciding this place and Caliburger, go here every time. Caliburger is over-priced in n out, Just burgers is quality. They are open late too so that's another bonus about this place.

This was a really great place to grab a burger. The food was made quickly, and the fries and burger ended up just like I wanted. The fries aren't greasy and it tasted really fresh. I moved here from NC and we have a place called cook out whose shakes rival anyone's but good lord... this thing was fantastic. Their California burgers are, in my opinion, the best burgers in Seattle. They are beautiful, they look like burgers you only see in staged pictures in commercials. They are delicious. The ingredients are wonderfully distributed so that each bite is a perfect mouthful of lightly toasted buns, sweet sauce, tasty beef, and savory bacon with hints of tomato, lettuce, avocado, and cheese. Their waffle fries are also hard to beat, and the Oreo shakes are awesome. Staff is always professional and friendly. Five years ago it was our favorite food place for a drunk night on the Ave and it's only gotten better over time!

This place does so many things right (double fried fries, real ice cream milk shakes, good bun, fair pricing) but they mix up something into the beef that gives it the flavor and texture of a meatball instead of a burger. If this wasn't a burger place that wouldn't be so important, but it is. I'll get a chicken sandwich next time.

Super greasy, Super delicious burgers that Absolutely Crush. This is not a hipster spot, but definitely a college after drinking spot, so be prepared for mild shenanigans. That being said, the quality and taste of their burgers is Phenomenal. Truly one of the Best dive burger joints I've ever been to!

Ordered here for the first time tonight (via Caviar). I got the ultimate vegan burger and my son got the bulgogi burger. Both were delicious. The vegan burger has a fried rice patty on it that’s got some dulce flakes (something seaweed) tastes like spam musibi without the spam. It was amazing. I will order again for sure. Also they were perfectly sized; not overly gigantic but definitely filling!

I have had burgers from Texas to Seattle and Just Burgers have the real premium burger of all of them! A friend introduced me to them a year ago and burgers elsewhere are a disappointment in comparison. The staff is outstanding and the prices reasonable for the product delivered. I visit every time I'm in Seattle, which isn't often enough! Highly recommended.

Burgers are still delicious even through several changes of management. Patties are fatter and better seasoned than EJ's. Definitely missing some of the delicious house sauce that EJ's slammed their burgers with. I got it on the side and filled it myself. Manager is like a big boy Gordon Ramsay. All my friends were in the mood for noodles across the street and I wasn't. The sign outside"handmade burgers" caught my eye. So, I had to try it out. I asked what the most popular burger was and they said California Burger. Oh my Gosh! It was definitely sooo delicious! It is now my MOST favorite burger place in all of Seattle! The beef was juicy, the buns were soft, the overall flavor was amazing! I came back the next day with a friend and ordered a double stack Cali. People were definitely nice and the service was quick even as they were cooking and prepping it in front of me. I love this place!

Fries are perfectly soft and as soon as I saw how many were in the bag I knew I was getting diabetes. Soda machine only has 6 flavors so no root beer :-/. Such a delicious and filling meal makes this 5/5.

Only minor annoyance was the special is cash only but it's probably marketed towards college students so it's not a big deal. Would definitely recommend.

I had the cod & chips. The fish was cooked pretty well. the fries were not. The worst part was the tartar sauce, which was very sweet and not thick at all. Not worth eating. I just got done eating at this place, and it blew me away. If you're from out of town like me, let me give you an idea of their menu and pricing. This is by no means the cheapest burger joint. Most burgers on their menu cost around $8-$10, and then fries and drinks are extra. So you're definitely looking at a more premium price point than a typical fast food joint. However, unlike many other "upscale" burger places which charge more but then give you a burger that isn't anything to write home about and expect you to tip them for bringing it to you, this one backs up those prices with seriously good burgers and large portions. You do not want to come here if you're on a strict diet. I'm a pretty big eater, and this is one of the few burgers I've ever struggled to finish because I was so full. Which is exactly what I wanted after spending most of the day traveling without food. More importantly, the food tasted fantastic. The beef was excellent without being extremely greasy, it was loaded with premium ingredients like large onion rings, avocado, and thick slices of Swiss cheese, and the fries were really crispy in a good but not burnt way. They also have Fuze raspberry iced tea as a drink option, which I strongly believe should be mandatory at any establishment wishing to accommodate those of us who prefer our drinks without carbonation. On the hierarchy of common burger chains, I tend to put Wendy's at the very top. Their combos are not the cheapest among fast food chains, but they always leave you full and satisfied, and the beef tastes significantly better than most other chains. A close second for me would be In N' Out, largely because Wendy's burgers are the definition of American excess and greasiness, so In N' Out offers a more reasonably sized (and priced) burger. If I were comparing Just Burgers to those, I'd seriously consider ranking it as my new #1. The meal was definitely on the bigger side like a typical Wendy's combo, but for only marginally higher cost, you get those unique combinations of premium ingredients which elevate the burger to a higher tier than what you can even find in a place like Wendy's or In N' Out. They have options like salmon, interesting sauces, surf n' turf that comes topped with shrimp, etc. I'm not sure how widespread the chain The Counter is, as I've only seen a couple of locations in the South SF Bay Area, but that's easily the closest direct comparison I've tried, and it's typically even more expensive once you start adding all the options. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, if you're looking to spend a little more than typical fast food prices on a burger that justifies the price, you can't go wrong with this place. It's way better than a lot of the more restaurant-ish burger places like Red Robin or, Heaven forbid, Smashburger. If I'm ever in the area again for work or pleasure, I'll make sure to come back.

There are *five* different types of fries, all equally delicious, to choose from and a variety of free sauces to dip them in. Curly, waffle, sweet potato, shoestring, garlic... do yourself a favor and go with a big group so you have an excuse to try them all! Now on to their main attraction, burgers: dont let the name"Just Burger" deceive you, because there is far more on the menu than your average beef burger. You can get fried chicken, grilled chicken, portobello, or veggie patties in place of the usual beef to create a custom sandwich of your liking. Prices are very reasonable and from what I've heard, the milkshakes and italian sodas are an excellent addition to your meal. There is lots of seating for large groups because there is an entire upstairs balcony section to sit at if the smaller tables below are full. Service is prompt and you are bound to be stuffed after eating here.

I came to Seattle in October, and this is my favorite place to get a burger. So far I've tried the teriyaki, cowboy, UW, Mushroom, and Cali Burger, and they've all got their own unique flavor. My favorite is probably either the mushroom or teriyaki burger. The staff is always cool, there's plenty varieties to choose from and try, and they've got a great milkshake! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good burger! :)

It seemed that they were irritated that we asked for a thing of sauce that we had ordered beforehand and was just simply forgotten. It was disappointing, because the cashier was nice and the food was good, but we received intense glares from cooks over asking for a simple sauce packet that was already supposed to come with our meal. The only thing I might hope would be different is the staff attitude. Tipping before receiving the food seemed to be a mistake.
