The fries had a unique taste and flavor that was quite enjoyable. I tried a burger and breakfast burger as well. The normal cheese, lettuce and ketchup burger was also pretty good. The breakfast one with hash brown, cheese and egg needs some improvement. For the taste, the expense was high than expected.

Great State Burger is the decent take-out or dine-in burger spot for those on a time crunch. To start off, the location of this burger joint is great, and I can only imagine that it receives lots of business from Amazon employees and locals alike. Ordering is done through the use of tablets, and the food prepared surprisingly quick. I ended up ordering the Boss Burger, with fries and a drink. This location offers Jones Soda Co., one of the better options out there for sugar-filled beverages. The food was alright but I did notice that the patties didn't seemed all that seasoned. Likewise, the fries definitely could have used a bit more salt. Otherwise, the rest of the meal itself was good. That being said, with so many cheaper and arguably more flavorful burger options nearby, it's difficult to recommend this spot for more than a quick meal during lunchbreak or a casual affair (minus the casual prices).

I have to admit this is a pretty tasty burger. You can order from a tablet when you get there and you don’t even have to talk to anyone. You can put your phone number in and it will text you when your order is ready. I waited for quite a while and wondered if I even entered my phone number in correctly. It doesn’t give you a confirmation or anything. Luckily I did get it right and I got my food. They only have that Jones soda which is only ok. The fries weren’t bad either.

Boss burger+onion met my expectations for a burger, which is the first time that has happened since moving to WA 4 months ago from grease central, the midwest. It was pretty messy, but that didn't ruin it at all. Definitely would not get anything else from here as its all pretty basic and expensive (they charge specialty prices for all of their extras and sides for some reason) along with a lot of complaints that the regular burger is tiny and bland. It looks bland on the kiosk so thats on you and you get what you pick id say, but the boss burger was satisfying, proper size and tasty. Not that expensive given Seattle prices; each patty im guessing was 4oz or a little more, which is what it should be for a fast food place

The servers here are friendly and the service is quick! The burgers are quite tasty too. As is the “great state” sauce. They offer lettuce wrapped burgers instead of bun for the carb conscious! However the problem lines in their Pricing. The single burger is tiny and costs $7.16 with tax. If you want extra toppings like bacon, that comes at an extra charge. This is wayyyy overpriced for the size. I get that their beef is grass fed but there’s no way that tiny burger could justify the pricepoint. There are several better and cheaper burger places in the Belltown-SLU area.

I didn’t even buy my meal here, but I tried some of my husband’s fries and they were perfectly crunchy and salty. So good! He said his burger was excellent, but wasn’t a huge fan of the drink selection. Would recommend!

Nothing to complain about rather than prices were expensive for a burger, fries and a drink. Sodas were all the weird flavors of Jones soda. Burger was good though, typically toppings and cheese. Had an abundance of lettuce. Fries were crisp and fresh too. Perfect amount of salt. The displays were also adorable with the little bags. Service was nice and it was super quiet with the place even though there was about four other sets of couples. Clean and big ceilings so it felt bigger than what it really was.

Amazing food! The burger was so juicy. Bun toasted to perfection. Toppings super fresh. And the fries were amazing too! We’re from Oregon so we were thrown off by the Jones soda but it too was amazing!

fries are chrispy but a but salty, burger is good but single might be too small for a lunch, add bacon is a must. a bit pricy. not a everyday place but will definitely miss it from time to time~

Best fast food burger I've had, and yes I've had In'n'Out a lot since I grew up in SoCal. The crisp vegetables and the sauce complimented the tasty burger perfectly. The bun got pretty soft towards the end and it was a little messy, but that's not really a compliant, just make sure to grab a few napkins. The fries looked cheap, but were expertly fried and perfectly crispy, yet soft on the inside with the exact amount of salt needed, I was surprised but very content. I also love the Jones soda choices and know that I'll be driving out of my way more often to get a bite here.

I read several reviews from good to bad. I'd say if you've been to five guys, it's pretty similar. The fries are pretty good and the vanilla shake is the best. Don't get chocolate.

The name says it all. Ordered the double bacon cheeseburger combo and a Rainier Talbot. Burger was delicious and filling. Five guys has more toppings options but what G.S.B. does have on their burgers goes "great"

Expensive but worth it. Love the pillowy buns, juicy, grass-fed beef, crispy crinkle fries and thick, old-fashioned chocolate milkshake. Really hits the spot every time. We like to watch the ball game at Safeco while eating burgers, fries, and shakes, too. Forget Shake Shack. Go here.

Very good hamburgers. Grass fed beef, local ice cream for the milkshakes. Very friendly staff and very clean. It is pricey for what is is but if everything they were telling me was true I feel it was worth it.

The concept is not bad in my mind, but they need to improve the taste of the vegetarian burger, which was something in between tasteless and ok. The fries were good. I don‘t know, if I would return as there are many other burger shops out there.

Staff was ok and the order was quick and easy. An ok burger and the fries were not soggy. Price were a bit high. Restroom were ok but you get the code after a purchase. Good stop if you don't want to wait in line so much since the other meals nearby such as the seafood or the spicy chicken were also long.

They started doing breakfast sandwiches and the portions are good. Very hearty, lots of bacon. The coffee wasn't bad for a breakfast place. The place uses most ingredients from WA which reduces transport caused pollution and helps support local businesses.

The burgers here are tasty but very messy. I enjoyed the fries a lot but they we're a touch dry. Lastly, the milkshake was a little bland as far as fast food burger joint milkshakes go. I will say this though, the service was super fast and the employees really friendly.

Burger was decent, but how you build it and package is important. They overloaded it with lettuce and "state sauce", as well as wrapping it so it got mushed and lost its structural integrity. How's a toasted bun gets soggy in 2 minutes is an issue as well. Flavor was good, but the mess and bun issue made this burger a disappointment. $15 for a dbl burger requires attention to all the details.

This place has a simple menu. A burger where you choose either a single, double or veggie patty (you can also customize if you don't like, say pickles), an order of crinkle cut fries, a short selection of shakes and drinks. To some, that might be a turn off. But because their menu is so short, they make those items VERY well. I had a single and an order of fries today with their Great State sauce and it was the most pleasant, juicy, tasty burger I've had in a while. Everything about the burger was good. The fries? So crispy, yet soft where it matters. The service was quick and friendly. They give you discs that light up and vibrate when you're order is ready. Stop by sometime.

I've had a lot of burgers, but this place is a strong contender for best burger I've ever had. It's a bit pricey for fast food ($16 for a double cheeseburger combo) but the quality absolutely makes up for it. They do one thing only and they do it well: Simple, high quality hamburgers. Fresh beef, buns grilled to a crisp, fried seasoned to perfection and Jones soda on tap... It's perfection

Excellent "fast food" style burger joint. Think "in-n-out" quality and style, but at a slight premium. Just like the famed California burger joint, great state offers just two options, single or double, by themselves or in a combo. Unlike in-n-out where a double double combo is 6 bucks and change, at great state it's $12, but totally worth it. High quality meat, cheese, and delicious Yukon gold "crinkle" type fries. Jones soda on tap is an added bonus. Haven't tried the shakes yet, but others tell me they're great. I work next door at Amazon and what I like most is the speed of ordering and delivery. Other places have long lines but great state delivers a consistently good product in rapid fashion (it certainly helps to have just a couple items in the menu). Well worth a trip.

No really impressed with the burgers. Actually seemed too lean. Then after being cooked to a well done consistency the burgers ended up tough/chewy. The fries were good. Shakes good. Decent, but bottom line: this is not the place to good to satisfy that burger craving.

Finally!!!! Found a fast food burger in Seattle that was good. Very close to In & Out, even seemed to have copied some of the same ideas; small menu and packaging. I had the double cheese meal that came with fries and a drink. Went with a chocolate shake and it was very good close to Shake Shack quality. So I have found the winner of best fast food burger is Seattle. Price is up there but you won't go away hungry or broke..

I think this is my favorite burger in Seattle (after Dick's). Great ingredients- fresh produce, good fries, great bun. I prefer this way more than shake shack and it reminds me of a smash burger meets in n out. Good smashed burger patties, simple but delicious American cheese, and fresh veggies plus grilled or raw onions. Fries are good and crispy. Remind me of school lunch because they're crinkle cut but taste way better than school!

Burger was very gummy and fatty, though the toppings were fresh. Fries were surprisingly good, especially as someone who usually doesn't care for thicker, crinkle cut-style fries. Their vanilla shake is absolutely amazing, easily the best thing here. The location is great, and there are some neat things here like the Jones Soda fountain and the cute presentation (with burgers served vertically in little paper bags), but the downside is that the burger isn't great, portions are tiny, and for what you're getting, it's just too over-priced. But that's what you can get away with when you're located at the base of Amazon HQ, and an army of hungry developers.

Great burgers, very expensive. Seattle has a food pricing problem and this is a prime example. A cheeseburger, french fries, and a modest size soda should never cost more than $8 (probably less, but I've been here long enough to not remember what reasonable food prices are). The food is tasty and good quality (4.5 star worthy).

I tried their veggie burger combination. To all those vegetarians (and others), if you're tired of finding a decent place to treat yourself with a yummy burger and french fries combination, try the great state burgers. Be aware that they don't have the regular selection of soda, though. For me it wasn't a deal breaker as their alternative offering works for me pretty fine. Finding a nearby parking spot can be a challenge though.

They make a nice, large, messy burger that's pretty darn good. Certainly better than some of the Seattle favorites like Red Mill and Burgermaster on the Eastside. The fries are solid and they have a few beers. Our friend got a milkshake and said it was really good. Not sure what this place is like on a weekday it's easy enough to get a table on the weekends.

Food is decent, but the prices are kind of too high for the quality in my opinion. There are better options in the area, but if you're looking for a quick burger and fries (and Jones fountain soda, which is a nice change) then it's worth stopping in for a bite. Wish I could do 3.5 stars, it food is mediocre, but the place isn't trashy or super boring. Giving it the benefit of the doubt for the Jones fountain soda. I'd love to see more places have something other than just Coke or Pepsi.

Need a quick meal for lunch at work in downtown? Great State offers great basic burgers and crinkly fries almost in a jiffy at fairly decent price. Their seating area can fill up fast depending in how busy but my co workers and I will head here and eat back at the office.

I did not expect my burger to be so tough and chewy. It was like they used 90/10 beef. Gross. I had Jones Cream Soda, which managed to put me in a good mood after the angus assault on my taste buds. In fact, all of the drinks at Great State Burger are Jones, which is pretty cool. The fries were also alright. Not food related, but if after stuffing your face with burgers and fries, you are interested in seeing every blemish and pore on your face, head over the the bathroom, where they have these weird, florescent lights that point directly at you. Yikes!

Decided to drop in for a bite, looks like it's brand new. I had the Buenos Aires sandwich, I was surprised to how flavor packed the sandwich was! Even the side salad was tasty. Only critique from me are the portion sizes, then again I eat a lot so it would take two sandwiches to fill me up. It's a bit pricey, but you're paying for quality. So it's understandable. The front girl who attended me was really friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back

My wife and I really enjoyed this spot today! Everyone was extremely nice and the food was delicious. My wife had the Double Burger and I had the Single. The portions were really good. The Jones Soda option was dope too. The Sour Apple was the absolute best! Great food! Great people!

Every so often you come across a burger that balances its ingredients in a way that is perfect. The ratios are all correct, the temperature compliments the flavor, and burger nirvana is achieved. This burger meets that threshold for greatness. This burger can usually only be found in the moment when your hunger begins to move from gently prodding to insistently knocking. Once you've found it, you think, "This is it! The burger to beat all burgers!" Until you find the next one. This is that burger for me, in this moment. Go. It's so good. So is the other stuff on the menu. You're welcome.

Service at the counter is hideous and extremely slow. Combo meals are an absolute rip off. Shakes are meh and take about 20 minutes to arrive at your table. I only give this place a three because the burger is good and fair priced when purchased on its own. If the burger quality ever slips even slightly then this place quickly becomes a one star.

Finally a burger that you can feel good about! Not dripping with grease, grass fed, organic toppings, and the fries... wow!! Not greasy, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside! Simple menu and that's all that's needed. I hope they expand to many more locations. Maybe the Olympic peninsula!!?

Not sure what the negative veggie burger reviews are about. This veggie is awesome. Not a blackbean burger. True garden burger. If you're a vegetarian and want something that gives you the hamburger feeling, this is the way to go. Not a huge fan of crinkle fries in general but these are more crisp and not soggy like you usually find. 4 stars due to being slightly over-priced but it's not ridiculous for the area considering it's mostly Amazon employees.

Very OK - one step up from a standard fast food burger, decent fries (but not much salt), plastic-cup milkshake. No bacon for burgers. (Update: they now offer bacon as an addon for 2.50) Wasn't impressed by the service - person taking my order was clearly done with the day. Asked for no sauce, got sauce, though it wasn't drenched at least. Wish it were blue moon :/

A place in Seattle with fry sauce?! Yep! It satisfied my cravings after moving here from Utah. The fries were tasty, the burger was delicious, and service was quick even during the lunch rush. The soda is all Jones soda, which I really like and have never seen a restaurant serve exclusively Jones.

I am not lying or even exaggerating when I say this place has not only one of the best tasting burgers I've ever had in my 30 year life, but an amazing breakfast sandwich as well. Everything is freshly cooked, made almost entirely what seems in house with amazing ingredients. Seriously, if you haven't tried them yet please do. You won't regret it. #fatkidstatus

The menu is minimal, which tells me that they focus on one thing to (hopeful) perfection. It's a fine burger, with a lightly toasted bun, and fries are crinkly ones, with nice big flakes of salt, which are darned good. Jones sodas on tap, including my favorite unnatural green Sour Apple. It is, however, a bit on the pricy side. You can get as-good at Five Guys for less money.

Burgers are good. But the real story is their crinkle cut fries. Nice and crispy exterior with a melt in mouth inside. These fries are the real deal. The fountain drinks are all Jones sodas too.

Their State sauce stands out and the Patty is also flavourful and juicy. The crinkle cut cries are also fresh made and aren't greasy or overly salty. Here are some helpful tips/notes: 1. Always order online. They are loacted right next to the Amazon Doppler building and lunch time lines can get really long. However, of you order online, you can skip the line, walk up to the front and get your order like a boss. If you want to dine-in, just tell them you need the dine-in tray as well. 2. They only serve Jones cane sugar soda. If you are a fan of that ( I like the green apple flavor), go for it, else save some money by getting water. 3. You can get caramelized onions on your burger for no additional cost. 4. They are not a sub- $10 option with their standard combos. The combos run into almost $14. Hiwever, I find the two Patties overkill and order the kids combo ( and swap the caprisun with Jones) which comes to $8.5.

Regular burger with grilled onions and bacon is decent. Shakes and Jones cane sugar soda fountain are great. Beer option is helpful. Kids burger was garbage. All too pricey.

Seattle’s best milkshakes by a country mile. So thick that you’re probably expending more calories sucking them up than you get from ingesting them. The crinkle cut fries are a bit average but the meat burgers are pretty tasty, although they are some of the most structurally unsound burgers I’ve ever eaten; they slide apart with every bite creating a giant mess.

Food is great -- burger was a solid patty with fresh veg and a springy bun. Fries were fresh crinkly-cut, very well seasoned. They came in a cute paper origami box. (Cultural comment tho, the sparse, boring, ultra-hygenic atmosphere isn't winning any culture points.... "SLU gentrification" at play. I personally don't really care, but this particular restaurant is so extremely curated, it stood out to me.)

Best place open that didn't need reservations. If its late, And everything else is closed or the waiting time is 1 hour or more. This place has some of the most delicious burgers. The staff is nice, the environment and indoors is fresh and the wall colors are welcoming.

Food was good, we had the vegetarian combo. Everything appears to be made to order. They don't have table service so we had to stand and wait for meal. It was very crowded during a peak weekday lunch hour. Wait time was reasonable, especially considering the crowds. Downside is the acoustic levels were very high and could hardly have a conversation across the table. The constant repetitive "order 123 is ready" got annoying. Table service would bring some relief.

It's a great alternative to places like McDonald's or Burger King. Reasonably priced with simple options (single/double meat burger or veggie burger). Quality of food is also good and prepared as requested. Seating in the restaurant is basic but clean and perfectly serviceable.

No-fuss burgers with all the basics plus fries. Burgers are not heavy or overly greasy. Fries are crinkle cut with seasoned salt and free of excess grease. A quick burger joint. They have single, double, kids or veggie. Simple and delicious.

This is a review for the new shop on Sand Point Way - parking was difficult. No real place to sit down - a counter that was occupied by people waiting for their orders. There was nothing about the $7 burger and $2 fries that distinguishes it from a Double at Dick's (which is pretty tough to beat). Nothing special. And, shocker - NO BACON was available. I'll move this review when the Google Maps goes up for the Sandpoint store.
