Reviews of El Borracho Pike Place Market
Sav H
The food was good and the bartender was quite nice. But the place could use some cleaning. The tables were so gross and sticky. How you order and get food is unclear. As a celiac I wouldn't trust their mutual fridge of sauces. The food was good and I didn't get glutened so that was nice. I wasn't sure though cause the whole restaurant and service seems a little sketch.
Karley
Food is all plant based.
Food was amazing.
The service was not.
The Food was all fresh and hot though.
Although the bartender was not welcoming.
And the server actually told me what I ordered was not a good idea and I should've ordered something else. Except what I ordered was perfect!
Do not order a hibiscus Margehertia.
We paid $30 for drinks we couldn't finish cause they were not good at all. Won't be back here.

Best vegan Mexican food ever. Loved it. The staff was also nice. My non-vegetarian friend couldn’t tell the difference that it’s vegan. Definitely going again.
Viral Jogani
Only ordered nachos which tasted great and filled me up! They were served really quickly so that’s a bonus. There’s no service so don’t expect anyone to seat you or explain how to order. Ordering requires scanning a QR code and selecting your items.
Kelly Klaes
We were pleasantly surprised by this place. You have to order off your phone and it wouldn’t work for us but they were super helpful in getting our order in at the bad. The chipotle potato burrito was pretty good when covered with salsa! The cheapo margarita was also pretty good.
Jeff Schonacher
The food was fantastic and the service was top notch.
The combination of tacos we were able to choose was almost overhwhelming and our eyes were too big for our stomachs.
10/10 - Will come back there again when we visit Seattle.

I’m not vegan, but I love fresh food of any kind. This is the best food I ever had when it comes to tacos and burritos and bowls. You can tell they make an extra effort to prepare everything, is not just simple cheap tofu everything, they have so many options of meat replacement. Everything tastes so fresh and full full of flavor. The customer service was amazing, super friendly, polite, and attentive. Their salsa bar is amazing. Everything is simply the best.

Okay where to begin!! First off i only took one photo cause the food was so phenomenal i didn’t even have a chance to snap a photo!! Hand painted signs and a real eye catcher for me. The attention to personal detail is KEY. QR code menus make ordering a breeze extremely fast service. had multiple conversations with employees and customers, all who are superb, friendly, knowledgeable.
We Ordered 3 different kinds of tacos that blew my tastebuds out of my mouth!! Had to reassure ourselves they were all plant based!!! The nachos are out of this world, amazing till the last crumb, home made salsa that oozes with fresh flavor, my only regret is i didn’t order another meal to go!! Takes the top fir vegan plant based Seattle foods!! Well done!!

Yummy vegan place to stop near Pike place market. Offers quite a few options - tacos, nachos, burritos, bowls with different "proteins". Had seitan barbacoa taco - good flavor and packed. Also can grab choice of sauce. Chips good, salsa okay. Enjoyed the margarita (pink cheap-o)! Staff super friendly and order available quick.

If you are vegan/vegetarian and visiting pike place market, then definitely do yourself a favor and stop by El Borracho! The service is great and orders are ready in 5 minutes or less 🙂 I really enjoyed the barbacoa taco with green rice and black beans on the side. I also ordered the the Al pastor taco but wasn’t a huge fan because the sauce lacked flavor. The next time that I visit, I look forward to trying other tacos on the menu 🌮

We were so happy to find a 100% vegan restaurant so close to Pike Place Market. They had a a variety of gluten-free options, and given the locations, reasonable prices.
The food tasted great, and came out quickly (when we were there they had contactless ordering on our phones).
We also appreciated that El Borracho is focused on sustainability. In addition to all their food being 100% plant-based, food was served in compostable containers. Always happy to support forward-thinking restaurants like this one.

Good spot for vegan Mexican food. I've been here twice and unfortunately both times they've been out of the shrymp. The nachos were amazing, but the tacos were a bit cold. Service also took a while, but the staff was friendly.
Mateah Kittle
Delicious food! The guy who brought it to us was very friendly and upbeat. You scan the QR code at the table to order from your phone which was something to get used to. Would love to go back!
Greyson Strzelczyk
The food was super yummy and filling. The horchata was to DIE FOR. I see a lot of negativity (from the boomers…) about the order online system, but it’s really convenient. Gives you time to look around and go back and forth a million times without pestering the wait staff 😂 I will say the system is a little funky, but it’s technology. Absolutely worth a visit.
Sarang Rakhecha
Complete vegan place in the heart of downtown. Best part, open until 11pm. Tried the tofu al pastor bowl and horchata. Both were decent. Friendly service. You can dine in as well. Parking on street

Recommend? Yes.
I love that it's a stand alone yet very close to Pike Place so very easy to do your touristy things and then have a nice sit down meal without having to look for seating.
I ordered 3 tacos and the horchata. The tacos were jackfruit cochinitas, seitan barbacoa, and tajin shrymp.
My favorite was definitely the tajin shrymp. Very well seasoned and the texture was on point. I personally think it's better seasoned than the regular shrimp tacos I've had in the past. It would really take it to the next level if they put a little bit of char on it.
I didn't like the horchata here very much because it's not as thick and creamy as I personally like. A bit more watery, but it was definitely loaded with cinnamon. If you've never had horchata before, it tastes similar to cinnamon toast crunch cereal milk after you've eaten the cereal but better.
Rick K
Do yourself a favor, forgo the tacos and just get the nachos. The tacos were quite disappointing. Lack of flavor and the weirdest jackfruit ever. Was it even jackfruit? However oddly enough the nachos were really good. I'd go back for nachos and maybe be daring to try a burrito in hopes it's good. However I'm guessing similar to the tacos. I would say to the owners that spices are ok to use oh and salt is ok too.

Plant based vegan Mexican food and bar. Nachos were the best thing on the menu. All flavors seemed to have a bit of spice to them. Was slightly confused at first how to go about things. Order drinks at bar. Order food via app- barcode is on tables. They’ll bring it out to you. Lots of outdoor seating, although loud Pike Place area, but good people watching. Staff was friendly.
ABoricuaLifeinUSA! “Cars Vlog!!”
Check my YouTube channel aboricualifeinusa and Instagram. The ordering is from a qrcode.you check the menu u order and they bring the food to you. Tacos were decent but on the small side. Price wise for the area was affordable . I was only in the area for the day so I didn't think I'll miss it. Give it a try .

This place was absolutely amazing! All these vegan food options were delicious. We had the nachos with barbacoa seitan and the impossible burger burrito plus a horchata. Absolutely loved all of the options and the flavors and smells were so good! The servers were really nice, sitting on the sidewalk patio was enjoyable for people watching, and the refrigerator fresh made salsas were excellent too! Nachos were not just a pile of chips with stuff on top, the toppings were integrated into all the chips so every chip had a lot of stuff with it. Will definitely eat here again next time we visit Seattle.
RY Martin
Super chill place with fast service : your food comes out fast 💨 and tasty tasty. It’s got this divey vibe + vegan = fun place to visit to get out of pikes place tourist chaos, esp during the holidays 🎄 …
Kayli Robles
Menu is completely different from takeout menu. Staff got annoyed with us when we had issues ordering and no way to order water from takeout menu either. Menu should be consistent and they should have a better ordering process. The restaurant has a bit of a stressful environment overall in general. The food is good but a bit pricey and they completely mixed up our order.
Darian Richter
100% vegan restaurant incredible ! Serve yourself , order yourself … very different service but worked! The food no joke took two minutes to show up , worked for us we were very hungry!! Nachos are simple yet delicious , tacos are simple but full of flavour. Great experience , always supporting our vegan community !! Only thing is the price point is too high for the quality you get. Nachos really hit the spot though !
Matt Roberts
Had lunch with a friend, the food was completely delicious and the staff was kind and gracious. Love that this establishment is 100% plant based and vegan. Tacos were delicious, the 4 different sauce flavor options made the difference and really elevated the flavor. Highly recommend for anyone who wants awesome service, tacos/burritos, and amazing flavor. Will come back again and again.
Skyebleu Fool
Kudos to a wholly plant-based venue! Awesome flavors and quality and we Ol fa*ts even navigated the QR code ordering.
I tried the three tacos that were GF and would say skip the faux shrimp - we’ve had better alternatives (like hearts of palm) the Al Pastor taco was very good, the tofu chorizo almost as good. My partner had the Chipotle potato bowl and was impressed! I don’t think that was GF but it sure looked good! Next time I’d order black beans, rice, guacamole and one taco. Woo hoo GO PLANTS!
Robby Daigle
This is hard because I really want to love this place as I've been a vegan for years and have celiac.
The bowls are pretty tasty and pretty good value. The tofu is a little little dry and doesn't have much flavor. I would avoid it.
I think the tacos need a little bit of work though. The tacos don't come with limes which would help (used my own limes) the flavor profile a lot b/c there is a distinct lack of acid. The hot sauce isn't very spicy, and the fermented onions are mild, so... maybe include in your order that you want some on the side.
The corn tortillas they use are on the thick side, and lightly steamed. If they want to use these tortillas, they should sear them on a pan or use two thinner tortillas instead.
Jennifer Allen
Easy, accessible, delicious, all plant-based. One of my favorite tried and true places for consistently good vegan options.
Benjamin
LOVE this local restaurant. Great location, something on the menu for everyone, friendly staff, decent prices for the area. All vegan, I haven’t tried any alcohol here but their nonalcoholic drinks are very tasty and unique. Many different types of salsas and they’re all delicious. I love that they have big and small burritos because I’m not always hungry enough for a full sized one (or I eat a little too much of their amazing chips). There’s also a location in Ballard, haven’t tried that one yet but they seem to be the same. 10/10, would recommend for vegans and non-vegans alike.
James Gasbarro
Best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Not “the best vegan Mexican food” I said the BEST MEXICAN FOOD. Full stop.
Also not sure if it was the owner making rounds but the guy working on the floor had the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Please eat here if only just to give back to an amazing community location.
Lady HAKA
Love that everything is 100% plant-based!!! I had the Chipotle potato taco, side of rice and beans, oh and the house margarita! Very yummy 😋
Faeryndipity
One of my favorite restaurants. The food is just okay (except for the "shrimp" tacos which are amazing) but it is entirely plant based, in a great location, and the staff is always super friendly. I try to support them often because I want to encourage more plant based restaurants 💚
Emily Weaver
The best all vegan Mexican restaurant around! My first time in Seattle and I stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant and needless to say, wanting to go back already. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our questions about the area. The chips and salsa were perfection and the chipotle potato burrito was to die for. They also had a help yourself salsa station which I found very convenient. If you’re in the area, even if you’re not vegan or vegetarian, definitely check this place out! Worth every penny
Jennifer Larsen
3 This is more of a walk up to the counter or scan the QR code type of place for service. Not full service, more like 3/4 service. They have a little cooler where you can get some salsas for your dishes (self serve). The food comes out quickly. My friend who's vegan really loved this place and would give it four stars. Personally, my favorite thing was the extra salsa options.
Laralyn Ellsworth
Delicious burritos, super amazing vegan queso, and really nice people! Brave of them to convert to all-vegan, so I am honored to support them. Also a serve yourself salsa fridge with four delicious flavors that are homemade everyday! Will definitely be back!
anita O
Great place for a quick bite and drink. They have a variety of tequila and mescaline. Their tacos are good. The atmosphere is nice, happy, and cheerful. It's definitely a place to hang out and enjoy.
Juliet Springsteen
Super yummy! Food was delicious. Great people watching on the patio too. You order online once you sit down rather than the server checking in with you. That took us a while to figure out lol. Went there twice on our trip. Highly recommend.
Monica Bacca
Chill and low key. Just stopped in here killing time waiting for my dinner reservation, So we didn’t get to try any food which all looked pretty good too. The tequila/mezcal cocktails were fire and the bartender making them was the coolest and friendliest bar keep in all of Seattle. Thanks guys!!!
Mandy Gillis
Great services and delicious salsa! Taco flavors weren't for me, but I'm definitely planning to return to try some other items on the menu. Worth the trip!
Emmanuel Carrera Ruedas
Cool atmosphere, they have a bar. Menus are all online. I got a togo order, i spent 15 with one salsa add on.
Im a big quantity guy myself and this did not satisfy that. Small portion for the price. So dont come here if you are hungry, come here if u want a good vibe. In terms of good mexican food... It was pretty average
Dany Lapierre
Incredible vegan food! Everything is allergy-considerate, no nuts, gluten-free. Soooo delicious, I don't know where to start on the menu from the house made chips and fully loaded nachos to the queso...had to come back after sampling the jalapeño pineapple Margaritas we tried during a Pike Place vegan food tour.
Des KF
Someone recommended me to go to this spot so I gave it a try. When we arrived there was no parking on the street so we had to park in the lot across the street and it was a little expensive. We walked in and was greeted by the server/bartender. So we had to order and pay then sit on the patio. There is no indoor dining and no real table service. I ordered tacos and a margarita and my friend ordered tacos and whiskey sour and it came to about $60.
The food was made very quick and the bartender made the drinks quick too. I was not too fond of the food. It could of been seasoned better and I did not like tortillas they used. The drinks were ok. Would I come back? Probably not.
Dede Bessey
I was excited to try all the many vegan options. They had a “good” not “excellent” rating in the window though, so I was a bit trepidatious to begin. The food took a long while. It was tasty, but they forgot my rice and beans I ordered/paid for. I had to wait another while for them. Overall, it was somewhere I would want to try again but not somewhere I am dying to try again.
Olivia
Great margaritas, great food. Bartender was really nice and helpful
Abishek Ganesh
Amazing vegan food. Ive been multiple times and every time I come to downtown i make sure to visit for some nachos and a cocktail. Highly recommend!

Neighborhood Feeling Restaurant.
I was in town for just one day from San Francisco .
Affordable and Fresh Vegan Options.
Not a fancy place but good food.
I absolutely love Kameron working the Front Counter and Bartending . Personality Plus !
Kameron made me feel Welcome.( I am a Woman of a Certain Age in there with the Younger Crowd.)
—He is Authentic .
—He Carries a good Message.

absolute highlight of our seattle trip! delightful service from Christopher, who was friendly and helpful the whole time! absolutely incredible vegan texmex faves!! (chipotle potato was to die for! and loaded nachos with vegan queso is yes yes)
Abhijat Saraswat
Delicious food, reasonably priced at a great location.
This is perfect for locals and tourist alike. Situated at the Pike Place Market, it makes for a great spot for dinner (or any other meal).
The burritos are delicious and plentiful. For a special treat try and come here for their happy hour. During the happy hour they serve $1 and $2 tacos when purchased with a beverage ($4).
Amy Thomas
Very yummy! Ordered the nachos to eat right away and a burrito to save for later. Both were excellent! Online order and pick up process was easy, person who handed off the order was friendly.
Bryan Karsh
Used to go here regularly for lunch and gatherings when I worked down the street. Like everyone says, really really good. The ambiance is great. The location is great (note… these memories are pre-Covid). Hopefully they are doing great still.
Dana S.
Service can sometimes take a bit, but the food arrival is fast after ordering. Delicious vegan options!!! Easy, convenient location close to Pike Place Market. Be aware it becomes 21+ after 5pm.
Henry Spurgeon
Chips with guacamole and spicy salsa to start, followed by two vegan burritos with black beans and red rice! Fast and friendly service and great tasting food. Would loved to have tried other options on the menu but we were full to the brim! 👍 …
Sara Saavedra
We were looking for a place close to our hostel for dinner, and this was the only place we could really find open after 7pm on a Thursday night. But I’m glad we did! The seitan barbacoa taco was delicious and the guacamole and salsa were flavorful. The server was also so friendly and we had a great time our first visit to Seattle.
Grace Horvath
Super tasty food and cocktails. I loved the nachos and spicy marg
Brian King
I just recently moved (31st of October) from Chicago with my wife and haven't had a chance to check out any tacos in Seattle as of yet, until today. I had the Al Pastor & Chorizo Tacos and taco platter (refried beans & rice) for a late lunch along with chips and salsa. The food arrived super quickly which was good and was demolished with similar speed. Definitely tasty and will be returning.
Unfortunately, we arrived around 3:15 or 3:30 and were very hungry and didn't want to wait for Happy Hour (4-7 M-F). Happy Hour seems to be a tremendous deal (tacos ranging from $1.15 to $2.17 / each). The $2.17 Happy Hour price is for Pescado, barbacoa, & soyrizo (vegan chorizo). The prices aren't bad by any means for the normal menu, it's just the happy hour prices are exceptionally nice. The only catches on the Happy Hour pricing it seems are as follows: no to go orders, no separate cheques (can split with multiple payment methods), and you must order a drink (assuming this means alcoholic or soda).
Either way -- food was tasty and arrived quickly. Will be back.

Finding vegan food at Pike Place Market can be difficult. Luckily, El Borracho has dedicated vegan options to help us get our grub on.
Although a small space, El Borracho feels cozy. The atmosphere is inviting, so much so that people even brought their kids.
Let me say that this restaurant has some of the best vegan Nachos you will find almost anywhere. A generous helping of guacamole (included), beans, and sour cream, you'll never have a bite of tortilla that lacks the goods. These Nachos come "fully loaded". The jalapeño peppers give a nice kick that rounds everything out.
If you're in Pike Place Market and craving some nachos, El Borracho is your place!
H Brown
Awesome vegan taco options - potato and poblanos, mushroom, and soyrizo. Giant burritos. Great vegan queso. Super delicious guacamole. Awesome salsa selection. $5 margs.
Julianne D.
Visited out of state from California, this restaurant had good reviews so I was looking forward to eating here but I wasn't impressed. There's no customer service, one of the "servers" didn't seem to be in a good mood. The food was plant based which was amazing! The overall taste was underwhelming. I felt like it was a step up from taco bell.
Cody Jordan
Waitress was nice, food was great. Check out the soyrizo con papas burrito (with the green rice)-- a huge burrito that can feed two hungry people. Lots of vegan options, tasty sauces, and $4 margaritas. 🌯 …
Malana Giustina
Super nice staff and very yummy vegan tacos 💛
Vita Lusty
Pros: Good Location for when you are on foot
Food is pretty good
Prices aren't terrible
Cons:
Bad location if you are traveling by car
No utensils
No napkins
Everything is automated through the phone so you order through the phone, food is brought to table and never interact with another human again. I couldn't even retrieve a person for a mop or broom.
You throw away everything but your glass of water. Not very easy on Mother E.
utkarsh bhatia
Nothing exceptional about this place. Seems like your usual chips and salsa restaurant, and soon sadly turns out to be even less than that. Tacos are very small, however the saving grace is that the meat is delicious. The rice and beans were very bland, nothing to boast about there. The salsa was serve yourself and maybe the most delicious item on the menu. The staff is kind and courteous even though it’s a busy place
Mike Patrick (MetlOtter)
Great vegan tacos. The seitan was top notch, and the queso was probably the best vegan cheese I've had.
Chris M
Worth the trip. Was good. Downside is they don't make their own chips. Guac was good. Tacos are pricey but good.
Owen Jones
Good! I tried the rabbit, lamb, and pork tacos. Although I dont really know which taco was which, they all tasted good. They also have a variety of salsas to try in a mini fidge by the door. I would describe this place as a good stop for any foodie in Seattle.
Shawna Boyd
WOW this food is so delicious. Do not miss out on the massive plate of nachos. I appreciate the variety of vegan options. I had the vegan nachos. There were several optional add ons (I didn't choose any). But these are packed with flavor, and tasted just like nacho cheese. I will continue to dream about these nachos.
Andrea Falling
Great place for more authentic mexican food! Their tacos are amazing, and they have great options for vegans AND vegetarians! Looking for a cheap drink? Go for a double El-Cheapo (made with fresh lime juice). This place fills up quick, so expect to wait outside if they are full - or grab a table on the patio (great people watching)! Last thing to note is the entry area is the bar (21+), but the side/back enterance leads you into an all ages dining area.
Marvi Darling
Good food for a hungry Mexican in Seattle. The tamarindo water tastes just like that....water. Kinda clear In color so you can tell it ain’t gonna taste like it. Chill place. Friendly staff.
Shambhavi Balasubramanian
Good food, lots of vegetarian options. Quick service. Mushroom taco is really good! Outdoor patio seating is nice on a sunny day.
MarkandStephanie Garza
We had tacos, barbacoa burritos, queso and margaritas, and we wished we could take this place home to Fort Worth with us! The BEST Mexican food.
Ruthie Kataoka
100% PLANT BASED FOOD!!! There maybe older menus circulation online but when I was in there May 2022 they are completely plant based!
They have really good nachos and chips and salsa but the salsa is on the spicy side for a wimp like me. I didn't try a burrito myself but they looked so good. We often stop in here for drinks and chips and salsa. It's so hard to find chips and salsa anymore it seems like!
The staff is really nice, you'll feel at home. It's a casual restaurant where you seat yourself and order at the bar or you can can the menu at your table. They have a variety of hot sauces you can choose from in a little mini fridge accessible to customers.
It's a great place to meet up with friends or stop in after checking out the market.
Christopher Krona
Even though it was packed, the food arrived quickly. The food was tasty and the prices were not outrageous for Ballard. The service was good, but not exemplary. A few members of our party waited with empty drinks. I would return again, but not when they are so busy. It was quite loud.
Noah Rouleau
Tacos are tasty and easy. Could be more heavily spiced + salted. Vegan friend liked the soyrizo tacos.
Patricia Rangel
I loved the food!! I went to visit Seattle and went there twice, I tried two different meals and they were amazing. They need to open a Portland OR location!!!!!!
Jason Mattingly
Was lucky to be both neighbor, and industry friend to this space. Carnitas anything, and shrimp tacos are great. Staff works hard and cares about being a Market staple. Great house sauces and the bar treats you right.
Nelly De La Cruz
Walked in here and we were sat down within 2 minutes. Vegan options and a pretty good tequila selection. Service is great and friendly and food didn’t take long to come to us to devour.
Sydney Miller
El borracho is one of our top restaurants in Seattle! Their menu is so good, amazing flavor, delicious cocktails (especially the hibiscus and tamarind margaritas). Since going all vegan, it’s only better! All my omnivore family loves it too. Cannot recommend enough!
Marlene Ascencio
Great atmosphere. Food arrived fast. Tacos were good, specially the hongos(mushrooms). Tortillas are homemade, unfortunately my tortillas were cold. Price for tacos is a bit too overpriced.
Garrett King
Great dinner here tonight! I’m a big fan of the vegan nachos!!! I’ll be back for those. Also the lemon limeade paired well with tacos and nachos! We had wonderful service tonight as well. I felt like the value for food and service was fantastic!
Hannah Landkammer
I cannot rave about this place enough. Coming from rural Idaho, going to El Borracho was like getting a big hug from a missed favorite relative at an uncomfortable family gathering. I've never been to a restaurant where I don't have to hunt through the menu for something I want to eat as everything is vegan. It was such a nice experience.
The food was delicious, the people were so amazingly friendly, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was so welcoming.
I went with 3 non-vegan friends and they all loved it.
Between us we got al pastor tacos, barbacoa burritos, queso and salsa with chips, and their fresh limeade. 10/10 on everything.
The limeade is a work of art.
J K Jhaveri
Great place for vegan food, very decent and acceptable.
Carissa Marsh
Amazing happy hour food!
1/2 dollar tacos can't be beat. 5 dollar margaritas and tequilla shots
Alexander Schesser
Might take a moment to get used to ordering online while in the restaurant but totally worth it. Staff are still friendly and helpful, service is good, food is great.
Gregory Burton
Amazing food! Amazing drinks and hella cheap....you get much more than u pay for
Neeves B
El Borracho was amazing!! Visiting Seattle and stopped here for lunch based on HappyCow reviews. It did not disappoint!! It's so hard to come by vegan/vegetarian Mexican food and even harder to find REALLY GOOD vegan/veg Mexican food. We ordered the nachos, Pastor bowl, Chipotle potato taco, and the Tamarind agua fresca, plus a flour tortilla on the side. The nachos were the absolute best!! But everything was really good. The non dairy cheese and sour cream were amazing and totally passable even for a non-veg. The taco definitely had some heat (as advertised). The agua fresca was really refreshing as was the pastor bowl. I highly recommend getting the extra tortilla to wipe up the leftovers in the bottom of the nachos/bowl.
Logistics:
Outdoor seating specifies no children and we had to show IDs even though not ordering alcohol (NBD for us, just FYI).
You also order food from your phone outside using the QR code on the table. Easy just make sure you have a working smart phone. You also can't use Google pay or any wallet features; you must input a credit card for payment.
Caleb Sander
Not eating meat or dairy, finding Mexican options is usually a challenge. El Borracho had a large, delicious selection and wasn't pricey either. Would highly recommend, not just for vegans. Appreciated the outdoor seating, which is very uncrowded during the winter!
Rio Hindami
Great 100% plant based restaurant in downtown! Cheap prices especially with happy hour and good quality food
Christopher DeGance
We are visiting Seattle, on our way to an Alaskan cruise. We stumbled on to this place and Crystal our bartender was an absolute delight. She made great drinks for the 4 of us, margaritas, whiskey sours and an old fashioned. She is a wizard of the bottles. I highly recommend stopping in for a very pleasant experience.
Matthew Henry
Amazing food, people, and quick service! My non-vegan brother in law loved the food!
Siddie Friar
Went here on a date night before a show and everything was INCREDIBLE! Jeremiah and Christopher were very welcoming and explained how everything worked and what the menu was about. They offered solid food and drink recommendations and we enjoyed everything we tried. Had the nachos, jalapeño pineapple margarita, and one of every taco - my life is changed for the better. Finally found my perfect Taco Tuesday spot!
Marcel Moran
Great healthy food, lots of choices with and excellent staff. The best drinks yummy
The B.I.STANDER Podcast
Vegan spot. Good jackfruit 🌮 taco, but this place seems to have lost whatever made it special. …
Justin Gallant
So glad this place is 100% plant-based now. Absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. I moved a few years ago, but will be stopping in everytime I come back.
Yvonne Hawley-Wall
My husband and I stopped in for lunch. We were so happy to find a 100% plant-based Mexican food restaurant in Pike Place. The salsa and chips were excellent. The burritos were great, too! Very happy we tried this place. We will definitely visit again.
We went back and brought our son. He loves it as much as we do! Our order was excellent!
New family favorite!
Update to review no families after five here. I had to wait outside with our son who really wanted his vegan nachos, while my husband ordered our meals to go. I have to say when the food is vastly superior to the alcoholic drinks, you might want to refocus. We will only go for lunch now.
Joao Jardim
Lovely plant based Mexican style restaurant! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the staff is very attentive. The jackfruit tacos were my favorite.
saurabh gagpalliwar
Nice tacos and nachos, unique vegan options
Yvette Nakashima
Unfortunately the food wasn't as good as the first time we went which was a year ago. Service was great though and my horchata was delicious!
shivam negi
It’s one of the awesomest Mexican restaurants in downtown area. Their menu has happy hour section and has got 2 $ tacos which is tough to find in seattle downtown .
It gets fairly crowded during weekends and it is kind of nice to go during afternoon.
Ian Morales Gaskin
Nachos were pretty good. The horchata was so insanely sweet I could barely drink it. Staff were nice. It was a bit pricey.
Rashmi Prakash
My first time in Seattle, my husband took me out and brought me here. I'm vegetarian and this place is perfect for me as it's 100% plant based food. I loved the food and the service. Cosy ambience, a nice place to hang with friends. 10/10 would recommend
Marty Murphy
Not a big fan of vegan cuisine. Stopped by with family. Tacos were very good. I couldn't tell they were vegetarian. Jeremiah is a great host. I will visit them again.
Chris Schutte (Shopping Bag)
This is another of my favorite Seattle spots, and I always make it a point to come here. Delicious and authentic Mexican tacos and burritos, dive-y atmosphere, great drinks, and open late. Super vegetarian friendly!
Jamie Allen
Went here today with a friend and her young son and it was fantastic! I had the potato tacos and my friend had the impossible burrito. We also ordered chips and salsa, everything was so delicious and fresh! Staff were really nice and the place was clean. Extremely fast service as well. I would definitely visit again soon!
John Mulliner
The nachos were delicious and they have a nice selection of beer from Mexico, including Bohemia, and Don Julio tequila! Good service and a good location.
T. Scott Brandon
We walked by one morning, before they were open, and saw the sign that the restaurant is 100% plant-based. We changed our lunch plans so we could try it out. Non-contact QR code menu and ordering was easy and fast. We shared a huge plate of nachos--easily enough for 2. We'll definitely be back next time we go to Pike Place.
Danielle Wapnowski
Went there for my first time last night and had a really wonderful experience. The entire staff were all super friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was so fun and tasty with the new plant based menu! The margaritas really hit the spot too!
I can't wait to come back!
Tara Miller
Pleasantly surprised! Went in not realizing 100% vegan but their queso, chips, guacamole, and potato burrito were amazing! Their drinks were good too. We will be back!
Charlie Jones
What a delightful surprise! Ordered a jackfruit bowl which was delicious. Vegan and easy order at the table.
Padma Polepeddi
The food was great!!!!! Vegan heaven! Their Chipotle Potato bowl was very tasty, with nice blend of spice and tasty flavors. Very friendly and helpful staff. Their customer service and appreciation they show to the customers is so genuine. I highly recommend this place and their late evening open hours is also a bonus

sorry, but thank goodness i ordered the guacamole, rice and beans with the not so good vegan shrimp they make in house. i literally couldn’t get past the texture of that vegan shrimp and i’ve been vegan for six years. i had to call quits on it. lol. the other sides were good. i’d say possibly go back to the drawing board for the shrimp and refine it. make it taste better. that was my first time consuming vegan shrimp and i didn’t miss a thing going this long without it. lmao. overall good bar-like atmosphere which i am not really around much but it was nice to experience a new atmosphere. when in again, i will go back and get something else off the menu.
Angelyn Burk
Love this 100% plant based restaurant. Great food.
Jacob Brill
WOW…my fiancé and I were on a weekend vacay in Seattle, walking around Pikes Place looking for a quick lunch. We didn’t even realize that this place was vegan until we sat down and looked at the menu. We decided to roll with it and ordered the nachos. Food arrived super fast and I must say…as someone who has lived all over California and the southwest, and truly appreciates the holy trinity of burritos, tacos, and nachos… these were EASILY top three best nachos I’ve ever had. We were blown away. Perfect amount for 2 people to split a lunch quick, cheap, and delicious!
Matthew Laur
This place is awesome - they recently changed their menu to 100% plant-based and evening is super yummy. I had the impossible burrito last time and the jackfruit enchiladas before that - both excellent. Pro tip - get a house margarita with a mezcal float. Chefs kiss!
John Ball
Delicious vegan food, communication on how to order happy hour menu items could be improved.
Ofri Livneh
Great drinks and great food! Loved every bite and sip !!
Martin Gramatke
Tasty Mexican food with vegan options, reasonably priced. Nice location. Very friendly people. Cozy. Music. Drinks. This combination is rare.
Brian Scott
Best Nachos and great service!!! And im not even Vegan..
Carlos Pérez Araujo
Made the stupid mistake of coming here. I want my real mexican restaurant!! Chingaramadrecompare! …
Mitchell Morley
I LOVE restaurants which are 100% plant-based, because it makes ordering stress-free for vegan eating. This place really was above & beyond in specially-crafted tacos & burritos that we tried. They didn't feel like someone had tried to simply substitute out the meat for something else—it felt like someone had built these things from scratch via experimentation. And it WORKS.
Definitely intend to come back! So far have tried and will vouch for:
- chipotle potato taco
- al pastor taco
- seitan barbacoa taco
- impossible burg'r burrito
Reedel Tilleth
I guess I came in a couple days after they reopened as a fully vegan restaurant not knowing that. Their micheladas were amazing but disappointed in the strictly vegan options. I was really craving some authentic Mexican food but didn't get that here. Got a soft taco with some rice and beans which was ok. Service was good. I'd come back for drinks but pass for food since I'm an omnivore.
MB
Awesome plant based Mexican restaurant. Burrito and tacos were bursting at the seams and full of flavour. Always happy when eating healthy plant based meals!
Laura Roman Yoga
Amazing food and service, we will be back whenever we come back
Ravi Ravishankar
Simple, tasty vegan food! We got two kinds of shorties and both were excellent! There's a nice bar too! Recommended!

EL BORRACHO IS PIKE'S MARKET BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. VIVA EL BORRACHO !!!
Michael Slaughter
Excellent food. Perfect small atmosphere. The service was great. The bartender could probably use a little bit more help, but overall an excellent time
Erin Zoss
Stopped by for a quick lunch as we explored the market. I ordered 3 tacos, and all were very good. The tacos are small (tacos made with corn tortillas usually are) so I knew to order at least 2-3. The chips and salsa were good and my boyfriend ordered a burrito which was great. They also have tons of salsas to choose from to add to your taco/burrito. I’m not vegan, but they had a lot of options to choose from if you are. This place is not like your traditional American Mexican restaurant. Their options are extensive for what type of taco or burrito they have but don’t expect fajitas or a menu with 5 pages of options. But trust me, whatever you order you can’t go wrong.
Debbie Girton
Delicious plant based food! Loved the nacho "cheese" and the shrymp taco was yummy!
Teddi Worrock
Even if you’re not vegan, go here STAT. The staff are incredibly kind. The food and margaritas were impeccable. I got the pineapple jalapeño Margarita and the shrymp bowl Friday, august 6th, 2021 immediately when they opened up at noon. The food came out within ten minutes and was full of flavor. I’ve never had vegan food that good. I will definitely revisit on my next trip to Seattle! Thank you!
Kent Milholland
Jalapeno margarita had good flavor but wasn't that spicy.
Their carnitas burrito was excellent. The pork was super tender, juicy, and flavorful.
Their chips had a light texture and were very good. The salsa was average and should be spicier. The guacamole wasn't bad but had been made earlier and pulled from the refrigerator which decreases flavor.
Great place to people watch!
Kajol Verma
Never have I ever had nachos this good in my life! Theyre vegan and sooooo much better than regular nachos! The cheese sauce is to die for
juliana ocampo
Unfortunately I couldn’t even get pictures because I had a bite and could not stop. This is some amazing vegan food. The queso is to die for you cannot even tell the difference. The salsas are also freakin delicious especially the chipotle one. Plus fast service !!! What a win !
Prerak Pradhan
Great spot for Vegans and vegetarians..Can't miss it when you visit Seattle!!
Just don't go when they are closing. The guy closing the place is a certified decorated major a**hole!!
Andrew Schepers
Vegan burritos for the win! This is one of the only totally plant-based restaurants near Pike Place. So good!
Martin Mhoussen
Fantastic food, served up quick at a great price. Just what I needed after a long haul flight for work traveling on my own.
Katie Steeb
Waitstaff was awesome and friendly. Everything tasted great. Had chips and salsa, guacamole and the vegan queso (more like a savory gravy, but the vegan friend loved). I tried three different tacos and they were all delicious. Affordable. Would recommend.
Ageran
Yummy little tacos! Hit the spot reasonably priced and full of flavor. The guacamole was fresh and de-lish!
irene chavez
We were in Seattle on a layover from Chicago and stumbled upon this gem. We were greeted at the door and immediately felt welcomed. Its was a warm day and we were thirsty, why not it was 5 o'clock somewhere. We sat at the bar, it was the lunch hour so it was pretty busy. We ordered some tacos and chips and salsa. The food came quick and was amazing, seasoned to perfection. The chips were light and salsa was delicious. Pricing is on point, no complaints when the check arrived. We spoke with the owner Scott who told us they were branching out to CA, Pasadena, we couldn't be happier. I'll gladly visit in Seattle but cant wait for El Borracho in Cali
Suzie
I come here often with my colleagues for lunch. The service is always quick, delicious, fresh and oh so authentic and you get to self serve their little fridge where they have an array of different salsas stored inside that are also very yummy. The service is always friendly and timely where they get you in and out in 1 hour. I usually order the nachos or burritos. Thank you for the impeccable service every time El Borracho!
Captain Guy Herman
Super friendly. You wouldn't know it's plant based! Fantastic!
Jamie Giblett
Perfect for vegans and carnivores alike. Ask for Kristoffer. What a legend.
Matt Sly
Plant based tacos and burritos - whole family loved them. I wish we could have sat along the street, but 21+ is required to be along 1st Street.
William Ngo
I was visiting Seattle for the first time and went to the Pike Place Market for dinner, not realizing most of the restaurants in the area close early, which was upsetting. I walked up and down the block and finally decided on giving this place a try since I had never seen a all-vegan taco restaurant. This is one of those places where you have to scan a code to get the menu on your phone and order from your phone, which seems to be the popular thing to do in Seattle. So it's like ordering on the kiosk at McDonald's. The restroom was tiny and had a weird design. There were no paper towels in there, so I had to open the door with my bare hand after washing, which I really do not like. The tacos were okay, but the chips and salsa were really good and really spicy.
Brandon Arkell
Extremely friendly service. A lovely lady called
me Hon, which was lovely, and gave me my online order with such friendliness. I’ll definitely order again from here.
Priscilla Kreger
The service was really nice and the online ordering system was a breeze!! I got the jackfruit burrito and the Jamaica drink and it was lovely <3
Jack Meier
Vegetarian mexican food reasonably priced and made fast. The guacamole is great and they have horchata 😋 …
Daniel Castillo
They offer vegan options which is rare for a Mexican cuisine but a huge bonus for their patrons. Prices are moderate considering the type of food but their Happy Hour makes certain items on their menu very affordable. The one area that needs improvement is the flavor and seasoning of their tacos and salsas. I grew up eating Mexican food on a consistent basis. It is little bland for my taste. However, the it's a good environment to eat with friends.
Jacob Schmitt
We wanted to get away from the hectic crowds of the market. We walked up to 1st and found this place for lunch. My daughter had a quesadilla and I had vegan tacos. The service was excellent, the food came out quickly and was great! Easy choices for those who are gluten free and vegan (or dairy free). We were attracted by the sign for $ drinks. Plenty of outside seating just to watch the world go by. Side plates of nachos and salsa dip were great addition to really good value drinks.
Alice Toth
I really wanted to love this place because they offer vegan items but it was just okay. Chips and salsa were bland, poblano & potato taco was disappointing and the house margarita was just so so. Service was average and I got salt on my margarita when I asked for it without. My husband liked the mushroom taco and my son thought the vegan cheese in his burrito was good. Kids are NOT allowed after 5pm and limited seating in the restaurant for kids during the day.
Alex Belfki
The covid regulations confuse a lot of people. I would add a big poster by the entrance with the rules or tape a note to each table next to the menu code. During our visit I've seen a few confused people walk out or struggle with ordering.
Staff is really friendly and polite. The house margarita is delicioso.
The food is hit or miss. The al pastor is not meant for tofu. It's too soft and flavorless. The queso is amazing but you can't enjoy it because the chips are made from sweet corn and are too sweet and take away from the spice in the queso. Beyond taco is amazing. The shrimp taco and burrito would highly recommend.
Amber S.
Awesome happy hour menu has tacos for 1.15-2.50/each. They are small so you'll want to order 4-5 or get the rice and beans for $3. Happy hour requires the purchase of a drink, but it doesn't have to be alcoholic. The horchata comes with 1 free refill. If ordering tacos they come out of the kitchen quickly. They have salsa in a fridge at the front of the restaurant that you an get, but no one told us (we ended up waiting for someone to leave and too the bottles off their table).
Only downside was the waiter seemed stretched thin. It took a long time for him to come to the table to take orders. He also didn't think to mention the salsa fridge. They could have used another waiter to balance the load (note they had at least 2 busboys, but we only saw 1 waiter).
Tiffany Oh
I would only recommend coming here during their happy hour, but even those hours are limited to weekdays only and can usually get crowded around then, so there's usually a long wait to get a table. The salsa bar is great, so you can pick whatever you want. I usually like the green salsa. Since it gets so busy during happy hours, it gets difficult to order multiple rounds from the happy hour menu by the time you get a table and before it ends, so make sure to order as much as you can and want when they first take your order.
Julie McLeod
Very friendly, efficient staff. Explained how to easily order and pay online. Awesome to have such a selection of vegan Mexican food, even including "shyrmp"! Also has puerco pibil, barbacoa, chicken - all vegan. Uses Just Egg (vegan egg replacement).
If this information was helpful, I would appreciate a quick like. Thank you!
Cody Sharp
For me, it's all about the happy hour specials here. They have extremely cheap but amazingly good tacos during happy hour as well as good drink specials. The barbacoa tacos are my favorite. The happy hour tacos are on the small side, like street tacos. I think I ate 13 in one sitting. Coming from Texas, it's good to find a place that can make quality margaritas, tacos, and has a decent tequila selection.
JinSki13
Great service. Amazing food. And a fantastic pineapple jalapeño margarita! Their queso is quite delicious and I recommend it on its own and the nachos!
Shawna Smith
I was soooooooo impressed with this place, it was recommended to me on happy cow and I was not disappointed. A lot of the time, when you go to a restaurant that has vegan options there is no thought put into it, it's just kind of thrown together to give the vegan friends in a group an option. But El Borracho was not like this, their vegan menu has had time spent on it and the food is incredible! We got the nachos with soyrizo add on, we also got one of every nacho. I can confidently say these are the best nachos I've ever had, vegan or not. The drinks were cheap as well, and I was impressed with the quality of the Margarita, considering it was only $5. The service was great too! We were greeted by a man who was presumably the owner and he made us feel welcomed and sat us very quickly, considering how busy it was. Would 100% return here again!
Lisa Taylor
On vacation in Seattle (my old hometown) I Wanted take out, (later in the night). Living in San Diego now all I could think about was Mexican food. I went on Google and found this little gem, It was a block from my hotel. Love, love, love this place!! The salsa, the chips.. so good. I ordered a shrimp burrito with chips and salsa on the side to go. The staff was great, friendly and attentive. Three people asked me if I needed a menu, if I was ready to order. I asked if the salsa spicy and I was told (by Fabian) it depends on what you like, so I was given a spicy orange hot sauce and let me tell you.... it was amazing and not too spicy for me, thank you Fabian and the rest of the staff.
Clark Hickman
Amazing flavors on all the dishes. Highly recommend for vegans and non vegans.
Ally Stillwell
I love this place! Whenever I have family visiting, or am taking a friend around Seattle, this is one of the first places we stop to eat. The selection of tacos is great, from standard tacos to more adventurous. The drink pours are appropriate for the foods, and the staff is always friendly. Right next to Pike Place, the location is perfect for a meal before, during, or after an excursion through the market!
Devin Swift
I am very hesitant to try plant based foods, but Holy moly this place is unbelievable. The food, the people, the service, their attention to detail regarding plant based foods and earth conscious serving bowls, the entire facility is an experience to behold. 110% recommend this place.
Heather C
On business solo & was craving Mexican... Totally busy at 6pm but it was just me so I luckily got a bar seat with no wait. Really great guacamole... & possibly the best carnitas I've had in a long time. Tried the beef tongue & loved it. Really really reasonably priced. . Would definitely recommend... Lots of groups... Eating or just hanging after work. Exhaustive Margarita menu & tequila list.
Lisa Williams
My boyfriend and I stopped in after a show last night and they have amazing vegan burritos. They are huge and they also have a salsa bar. Good drinks, in a nice atmosphere. Good music playing. Will definitely be returning.
Eli Z.
Vegan Mexican food! It's food, easy to find staff is great, and menu has a lot of variety. I was pleasantly surprised to find this vegan Mexican place while wandering around downtown.
LaVon Davis
Love this area of Seattle, and adventure lots to see, and a lot of eatery!
Steffan Tucker
Been multiple times, everything so far has been delicious. Highly recommend the hibiscus margarita
Helen M.
Love this place. It's 21+ only so keep that in mind. The waitresses are so nice and welcoming. I got a vegan burrito and nachos and they were ah-mazing. My friend got a rabbit taco and he loved it. Definitely recommend it to anyone wanting some good tacos in a relaxed atmosphere.
Justine Brakefield
The tacos here are so delicious, this is one of our favorite places in all Seattle. Great guacamole as well if you are really hungry. I would give 5 stars if the service were more friendly to diners who are sitting in the back (you sometimes feel forgotten).
Kittie Davidovich
This place is amazing! I've been coming here since they opened in 2012. I come here a couple days/week. The menu offerings are unique and my server informed me most everything is cooked from scratch. They make 7 different salsas and even prepare their corn tortillas in house. The staff is fabulous....they are always super busy and still keep a smile on their face. Don't pay any attention to the notsogood reviews.....those folks just dont get the awesomeness that is El Borracho!
Israel Yahuaca
Great food and service. The Al Pastor tacos are the best, house made tortillas made tortillas and salsa were key.
John Forrest
The food was great, but I was displeased with the service. Our server was pretty non-existent and mixed up our orders. I had to track down some napkins from the bar since we weren't provided any, and despite asking for water, we only got our margaritas. Normally I'd understand these issues if a place is busy, but the restaurant was only at half capacity. I'm sure this isn't normal, but this wasn't a pleasant experience for me.
Becky Chill
The vegan nachos with soyrizo was messy but tasty; they definitely don't hold back with the toppings. A good size for sharing. Our food came quick even though the place was full. Took awhile to get the bill but our server was very friendly; just very busy.
deana elgeziry
Nice variety of tasty vegan tacos and drinks. Don't miss the salsa fridge.
Nikki A
We tried all the tacos ! All good the carnitas was our favorite and omgosh the nachos were amazing !!!
Robby Hlady
Oh man, the food is so good here! And they have really good drink specials, though I'm from Canada so any drinks are a better deal in the US lol. Service was good, but it did take a while to get service, so my friend and I almost left. I'm glad we stayed though because the food was fantastic!
Rohith Nandagiri
Average tacos. It’s a bar with Mexican food. Service is great and if you’re out late night in Seattle downtown, this is a good spot to satisfy your taco craving. I am from Texas so tacos have to be perfect in terms of shell, filling to salsa ratio etc. This place is unique in the area so for that reason alone it’s worth a shot. It’s inexpensive and they sell canned beer.
Dylan Mednicoff
Been here twice so far. Fully vegan Mexican menu. Strong drinks and amazing vegan food. This place has become one of my favorite places in the US.
Nicole White
We have made it a requirement to come here each time we come up from Portland. The tacos or inexpensive and packed full of flavor. The quesadillas are SO creamy, cheesy and good! The gauc is perfect and the drinks are just strong enough to get you feeling good. Highly recommend!
Alberto Campos
Sample their tacos. They are very authentic! Because they are tiny, you can try a good variety. Also, I normally wouldn't eat chips that are broken into smaller pieces but theirs are delicious. So, order chips and salsa as soon as you order your drink.
Gray Griswold
Small Mexican food restaurant which serves a great happy hour. I occasionally go here after work specifically for their "El Cheapo" margarita for a great price! Their tacos I've had have been tasty and they provide a good selection of hot sauces for you you enjoy. I'll be back!
Bruce Elgin
Had lunch here after visiting the aquarium and had a great meal. I had the soyrizo burrito and my wife had the mushroom tacos. Great chips and guacamole too! Lots of vegan options. We would definitely visit again.
Jon K
Rough around the edges, Happy hour tacos weren’t warm but were flavorful. Draft beer tasted flat and mentally. Need to clean the heads more often. Service is sweet, but scarce. Tacos are only a buck or two so...
Barbie O
El Borracho has the best vegan queso sauce I have every had! Even my non vegan friend enjoyed it. I ended up getting a taco plate with one of each vegan filling (3) and the beans and rice. It was so good I ended up going two days in a row.
Scott Jordan
Great place for happy hour! I got a beer, chips & guac, and 2 tacos for $9! And everything was delicious. The guac was scrape-the-bowl good.
Other reviewers have mentioned issues with the service, but I had no problem. I arrived at the tail end of happy hour and the place was packed. But I was seated quickly and the service was fast and friendly despite the crowd.
I'll definitely be back!
Jarrett Graham
How many props can you give to a company that closed to re-open as fully vegan?! Love this place, the food was amazing before the change and just as amazing after. And those frozen margaritas!!
Jeni Magana
Super delicious plant based Mexican food with a chill patio for outdoor dining
Paranjay Srivastava
Great food. great location. Amazing options for my vegan friends. The tamarindo drink is good, if you're looking for something which is not too sweet but still has some flavor. Would recommend the conejo burrito. Get it without rice if you are worried about it being too much food.
Cheez Man
Great vegan menu with tacos, nachos, and burritos. All of which are amazing. The Nachos come highly recommended with the vegan queso that is so delightfully cheezy. Make sure to check out the hotsauce fridge too and they even have vegan sour cream to boot! Love this place!
Matt Perrone
Decent prices for a place basically inside the tourist trap that is Pike Place, but their food is actually pretty good. Drink selection is not bad as well, and they have a good happy hour. Service is always a little iffy here, sometimes you have to wait a little bit to get served, and sometimes you get some servers with a little less character than normal.
Shelley Steinhorst
I didn't go in here for a long time because it didn't seem that appealing from the outside (and I was so sad that they replaced the delicious Ethiopian restaurant that used to be my favorite...) - I finally let curiosity get the best of me and went in to try some guac, chips, salsa and some spicy soup. The soup was great - never had anything like that before, the salsa and guac were great too. The chips did not seem home made to me (I'm a chips snob) but they were adequate. So all in all, I will come back because it's close to where I live and I believe the others who say the tacos (not really my thing) and other food is delicious. It's delicious enough considering this expensive location and the prices are okay considering the good quality ingredients. My waiting staff (at busy lunch time) were a bit slow (but the place was packed!) but absolutely friendly - perhaps because I was friendly (and patient) too?
Belen Herrera
Great price and flavor for happy hour! On a nice sunny day (like today!) you can sit outside on their patio. Best price so far I've found for tacos under $2!
Sara k
The place was packed but the staff were really cool and friendly, and service was still pretty quick. The vegan nachos are unbelievable, I've been craving another plate ever since I went. So delicious and a great vibe
Abdullah Alshalabi
Food is ok, I think the place should be more clean. Overall, just ok.
Greg Dennler
In Seattle, neat Pike Place, and rave reviews! I am, or was excited! That excitement was short lived. For me, the food was bland, small portions *the burrito*, you have to pay for chips and salsa and ordering chicken nachos will cost you $3.69 extra with no warning! I get that they have a location in a prime location and for that there has to be higher prices, but to charge for some bagged chips, Juanita's chip boxes are in the hallway and up on the racks of the ceiling for storage, and salsa that failed flat. Ask for a side of sour cream you get a little 2 oz. cup, which most places give you a small bowl; however, again, the location is costly so I can somewhat get it.
When you walk in there are a few tables by the bar. Kids can't go up there or enter that door. I thought that was pretty cool. Walk through the bar and walk down two or three stairs and there is another sitting area with a door that leads to Pike Place Market. The room is small as well, but they do well with the space.
In Sum, I love Mexican food and rarely have a complaint. I need to have small portions, but when I was on vacation and saw that I was paying close to $13.00 for something half the price as everywhere else, I am not a fan. I won't visit this location again that I can think and it really has nothing to do with a horrid story, but rather that there is so many different places to try and this one really didn't do anything that wanted me to come back again
Brandon Young
Amazing food! Everything is so flavorful. Staff is very friendly. I really hope this place sticks around. Definitely my favorite food near Pike Place as a vegetarian
varun joshi
The host was kind and provided good service. Although there were couple of hiccups like one of the hosts took away my friend's plate before he was done.
The ambience was friendly and not loud. Food was good. I liked the quesadilla especially. They had good vegetarian options. Will visit again.
Carmen Escamilla
We waited to be seated about 30 min, which was fine as we walked around while we waited for table of 6. Came back & waited more than 10/15 min to get drink order and after ordering I had to leave to let kids walk and play as after 20 minutes they were restless. our food arrived after over 45 minutes for 3 tacos, a burrito, and 2 nachos😢 disappointed as I do LOVE the food here but it was way too long to get our food.
Ghost Toast 904
Crazy good. Don't be afraid of the more unique items on the menu I had the beef cheek taco and it was to die for and the nachos... oh my goodness, probably the best Mexican dish in existence. Please drink a Margarita, they make their mixers in house and they are incredible.
badger bloodthunder
Food is good but service on a Wednesday afternoon sucks. We asked for salt and got silverware, forks and knives for the nachos and tacos we ordered. We were asked if we wanted refills on our cokes. I said yes, My wife didn't answer cause hers was half full. Hers was taken when the new drinks were delivered. They were diet not regular coke. There were less than 10 tables with customers so it wasn't that busy. Our server must have been high as a kite
Aub Driver
Hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint with rockin' cocktails and some pretty decent eats! Definitely a great happy hour spot for those traveling downtown in need of sustenance.
Terence Bonsey
Ran into an old customer of mine and we caught up for over an hour. I love this place. I love the food, the employee's, the drinks, and the music.
10/10 for everything. I recommend the carnitas burrito. Make sure you get the sour cream and guacamole. If you don't, you're living your life wrong.
Andrew Brosman
Went for happy hour which had really good deals ($1 tacos!). That being said I like the chips, salsa, guac a lot more than the tacos. If I went back I'd go for drinks and chips/salsa/guac as the tacos are small and not very flavorful. Wasn't too impressed by the meat.
Riddhi Merwana
Like all restaurants around Pike place market, El Borracho is cozy and different in it's own way.
The food is really yummy, with decent portion size and reasonable cost.
The restaurant is overlooking the main road so it's really great to have an aftenoon meal and couple of drinks.
I really enjoyed the place and the food, however the service was really slow and not at all friendly.
A. Burkhardt
Burrito was great, staff was super nice, plus a salsa fridge of different options. Solid lunch.
Christymarie Jackson
Not one of my favorite places in downtown Seattle. I wasnt impressed by the food, but the staff was great. I do like that they have a very unique menu with diverse Mexican fare offerings and its close to pikes market if you are craving Mexican.
H C-W
I've tried vegan burritos from all over Seattle, and El Borracho wins hands down every time! This is one of the first places I visit when I'm in town. The food is reasonably priced (visit during happy hour for even better deals), portions are HUGE and delicious; I recommend the burrito potato y poblano with refried beans and red rice. Make sure to slather in their homemade sauce. This isn't the place if you want a fancy sit down meal, but it has a chilled bar vibe and I can't complain about the service - but remember to bring valid ID or you won't be able to eat/drink in.

I've eaten a lot of tacos in my time, let me tell you, but El Borracho just topped them all! Great food, amazing prices, margaritas were generous and tasty. I can't say the service was super fast, but they were very friendly and also suuuuper busy, so I'm sure that was most of the cause. I will definitely be adding this to my list of recommendations!
Suparna Chaudhry
Their taco plates is one of my favorites! Comes with a side of rice and beans and the pinto beans and green rice are absolutely delicious. This is also a great place for vegetarians and the potato and poblano tacos are one of my favorites! Guac portions are pretty small though so not worth it in my opinion. And a great spot for happy hour when most tacos are just a little over a $1!
Angela Ard
I love tacos! So of course I had to try vegan ones and they did not disappoint. Very tasty!
Ryan Olson
I have been to this place 3 times now and every time I go in, it is super busy. The food is pretty good although most dishes are really spicy, which doesn't fit everyone's diet. Love the vegetarian options but I wish they had more that weren't so spicy.
Joseph Chen
Interesting variety of tacos and salsas. The chips are fantastic. The jamaica drink is delicious and refreshing. They do sugar on the rim of the glass that just adds an extra touch!
Tim Hunt
Interesting food and people watching - want a rabbit burrito? Maybe some goat tacos? Have that incredibly annoying VEGAN friend (yes you've told us you're vegan)... This place is great. a block or so from Pike Place, so at most times there are all kinds of interesting people to watch from the patio.
Jackie Ivy
Rabbit tacos were awesome. Tender, juicy, and flavorful. Nice bar with a decent sized TV. My server was very sweet and attentive and was knowledgeable about the food and drinks they serve.
Lauryn Stathem
Best chips and salsa around. I really enoyed my potato tacos, and my friend loved her nachos. The margs are great, too! Great vegan spot0!
Chonna. Me
So happy we found this place. Their vegan menu is bomb 🖤 …
David Inglish
The only star off just for the sheer cramped feeling of the restaurant-- their vegan burritos are glorious, their cheap margs are tasty (and cheap!), and their guac is delicious. Would recommend the Ballard location just so you don't feel like you're shoved in a closet. Enjoy!
Wayne Oeming
Very friendly staff. Good food. Have some of the basic Mexican food (tacos, burritos, nachos) along with a few different meats (duck, lamb, rabbit and others). 21 and over for the upper seating and all ages down below however it isn't very big. $4 margarita all day.
Amanda Carson
One of our favorite plant based restaurants ❤️
george chavarria
Great little cantina, cozy, warm and friendly. Cachete burrito was tasty enough. Plenty of vegan options, not just one potatoe dish. Full salsa bar provides plenty of flavoring options. Full bar and beer. Our service was great.
Melissa Jean Krigbaum
I love their tacos and the varieties of options they have. Killer flavors. But the service is a tad on the slow side/informal because they get pretty swamped (was there on a Friday night) and the tacos that you get for a dollar are prettttty small. And I dont think you get more chips - we ordered chips, then ate them, and never was even asked if we wanted more.
Bartis Hawley-Wall
Modern QR-code ordering for minimal COVID exposure, married with a vegan take on traditional Mexican cuisine, made for a truly enjoyable experience. The chips were outstanding, and the pink lemon-lime aid was divine after the press of Pike Place.
Laura Bensona
At a recommendation we went to the Ballard Sunday Farmers Market. Too cold of a day for us to eat outside. Saw a Mexican place and in we went. We’re not huge eaters so my husband ordered a lamb taco, I had the fish taco, both with a side of beans and rice. Extra advocado. Crispy warm chips and housemade salsa. One margarita. $30 plus tip. The best mexican food we’ve had in a very very long time. Highly recommend this place!
Wayne Marcy
Loved the vegan options on the menu. And there were quite a few people ordering. Service was great. I tried all three vegan tacos, the potato ones were the best.
Kendall Lily
The tacos are amazing! You can mix and match different flavors.. Highly recommend the camarones tacos or the BARBACOA. GREAT SERVICE very sweet attentive and polite .. Cheap alcohol and decent "cheapo" margaritas
Wyatt Seybold
Met up with some friends here while visiting Seattle. Happy hour from 4 - 7pm which I recommend. $4 Margaritas. Tacos for $1 - $2 (although small) and their guac is addicting. The tab for 4 people with plenty of drinks, food and appetizers was under $60.
Earlene Laguna
This is a fun, funky little place. A group of us visiting stopped by, and we're happy we did. Good food, decent service, and a really nice selection of hot sauces. I'd visit again when I'm Seattle.
Jeff Bianchi
Fantastic food! I had the carnitas burrito with guac and sour cream. Wow! More flavor than I expected. I also tried the pollo a la tinga burrito. A tiny bit on the spicy side, but another flavor journey well worth it. I would have given this place a full 5 stars except for the sign on the front in bold print stating that 'absolutely no knives or guns' were allowed. I'm fundamentally opposed to someone I don't know preaching to me which of my constitutional rights I have to give up in order to enter. Strangely, even though knives are prohibited on your person, a very nice serrated knife, that could do some serious damage, was provided to me to cut my burrito. So assuming I was predisposed to commit some heinous act with a knife, they'll provide the weapon!
Teagan LaPointe
Food is amazing! Love everything I have had.
Leah Gold
Service is great. The drinks are great! But I wouldn't order anything beyond a taco. I've had burritos that were mostly rice or nachos that were way too salty. Cocktails are the best bet there.
Natalia De Los Rellez
I absolutely love El Borracho! Their happy hour is great, but the tacos are small and I inevitably overeat and overdrink and then wonder how 2 people could spend over $50 when they were just going to happy hour. The Hibiscus margaritas are my favorite. The carnitas tacos and al pastor tacos are the best, but I'm probably not the best person to ask, because I loved them so much the first time, I never tried anything else.
Denebola
This is the Best Vegan Restaurant Near Pike Place Market ! ! !
Youthika Chauhan
The jackfruit cochinitas are great! Avocado was a little disappointing, but the other sauces made up for it. My friends who eat meat loved it too!
Nirlep Padda
The dishes they serve in weren't very clean but overall food was great and they have so many vegan options too
Sarah Uys
Great food, friendly service. They only had outdoor seating because of The Rona and it was freezing and windy but the food made up for it. I was disappointed to find that they had removed their exotic meats from the menu though.
Rene Munoz
Their tequilas are really good and I really enjoy the tamarindo margarita, HOWEVER they're pretty expensive ($9.5 per margarita). The food is really good, I usually order the shrimp nachos and use a ton of the salsas from their salsa bar.
Rory Jones
Great guac, pretty good vegan cheese, and delicious rice and beans. I tried one of each of the vegan tacos. Enjoyed the slightly spicy soyrizo and the potato more than the mushroom but the mushroom has a good marinade. Get a double margarita - they are pretty weak but not too sweet.
Sarah Ryan Hudson
We got frozen margs from a dispenser and were told since it was the bottom of the batch they weren’t actually frozen. Ok...well then I dont actually want it. The tacos were over stuffed and so hard to eat and mediocre. I would say for a drink with chips and salsa, and if you don’t get bottom of the batch, 5 stars. But for our experience I had to knock off a couple.
Shaun Robinson
Vegan taco lovers dream. Hot afternoon? Try a few of their smokey vegan tacos and a margarita. Beer with lime sure. Very personable. Good tacos.
Jordan Sweat
Best quick vegan Mexican food in Seattle. Life on Mars (also all vegan) has them beat on tacos though ;)
Erin Mccann
Really great, good was very good had burrito and nachos both awesome. We also had the cheap stuff margarita and they were also great. Reasonably priced considering there location, $40 total, Win-win here!
Nathan
Really fast service. Very attentive staff. We were asked multiple times if everything was alright, if we needed anything else, and where the salsa bar was if we wanted to Jazz up our food. At the same time the staff didn't camp at our table and "over" serve us.
Eddie van de Pol
Had a wonderful lunch here. We had to wait 30+ to be seated but it was worth it. They are under staffed so the service could be improved. I had the ensalada de la casa (a salad), and soyrizo con papas taco. I enjoyed the salad but while good I would not order the taco again (I would try a different one). I would like to visit again when on Seattle.
Reggie Parker
This place is awesome. Reasonably priced drinks and some damn good tacos.
Mark Burress
Great vegan options (I had the nachos and they were great) and very good service. Non vegan menu was a little hard to understand and the 90's R&B music didn't really match the Mexican cantina vibe of the decor.
Anne Marcus
El Borracho is a great place to stop in for lunch or a fun happy hour. Their all day $4 margaritas are not bad for $4.
I enjoy their wide range of street tacos and their giant plates of nachos. Make sure you have many napkins handy for either one! The tacos are saucy and juicy and the nachos are cheesy good.
They have house made salsas from chipotle to habanjero.
The prices are reasonable so you can try out the variety of tacos they do offer.
Ward Starbird
It's hard to forget this place is 100% Vegan. always a great meal!
Robert Towne
The Taco plate is delicious, I had the red rice and refried beans as my sides. The wait staff is courteous and assisted with explanation of menu items with good detail. I recommend eating here, I will most certainly visit this establishment in the future.
Lucas Vidana
Decent for a quick bite. Not a destination type place. More like a I'm stuck in Pike Place and need substance and a drink type place. They do have sports on many Big televisions. More like a sports bar. Watch your step getting in and out of the bathroom.
Nicodemus Paradiso
Delicious vegan burritos. Don't miss the salsa fridge.
Eddy Adams
El Borracho is everything you would expect by looking at it. The service was quick and friendly. The food came quickly and satisfied our hunger. It was definitely a little dirty in there though. The menus could use a solid scrub down or reprinting.
Lia Grace
the BEST nachos!!!! great prices and also bomb limeaid
Carolyn Manning
incredible food and best margaritas in Seattle
Michael Duncan
This is a must visit if you are into Mexican food and near Pike's Place. They have a great variety of meats and vegetarian fillings. Their chips are amazingly light and crispy, an perfect delivery mechanism to complement a variety of salsas. It's always a treat especially while cooling off with an El Ceapo or two.
Isabela Kienle
Great burritos, good tequila, tasty guac, wonderful staff and good vibes. This will definitely become a regular stop. Only thing I found lacking was the salsa, but honestly the burritos speak for themselves.
Jame Witzel
Awesome food and staff. Potato taco was amazing. Honeydew cucumber margaritas were unique and delicious. Waiters were very attentive and friendly. We will be back!
Nick Levai
This place has amazing food and homemade sauces to top off your burritos. My wife and I love that they have delicious vegan options. We will go back without a doubt.
Diana Gonzalez
The $5.00 Margaritas are awsome and the nachos are definitely a 3 or maybe 4 people serving size.
But when it comes to taste, they are on point.
Sarah B
Stumbled upon this place at Happy Hour... yay! Taco's were priced so well, we tried one of everything and they were all great! Good eats and cheap drinks, can't go wrong with that!
Sarah Mosqueda
Vegan Mexican food and margs what more can I ask for! Plus our servers were very helpful and amazing!
Chris Howard
Excellent and fast service. The food and drinks were perfect. The staff was extremely friendly.
Sean Lafountain
Food was okay but I felt it was kind of bland. Needed more spice. Impossible beef burrito had a tiny amount of impossible beef and a ton of rice
Leia Fontenot
Being from Texas where Mexican food is king, I was a little excited to try it in Seattle. IT WAS FABULOUS. The street tacos the quesadillas the burritos...we tried it all. My Favorite is the guacamole and crema, or as we say sour cream. A must visit!
Jay Flatt
Been here a couple of times now, gets crowded, and loud but the food is amazing. My only complaint is they don't offer fish or shrimp options right now. Staff is friendly and it is located near to Pikes Place.
Linz Y
Coming from LA, I'm a pretty harsh judge when it comes to tacos. But Barraco is some legit el pastor tacos. While a purist at heart, I can't deny that their addition to sweet, sweet pork is nothing short of genius. Their mushroom tacos are an excellent vegetarian option, but as a carnivore, I am all about that el pastor. <3
Dreagn Bennett
Great drinks, friendly staff, and fast service. Not to mention some of the best plant based food I've had here in Seattle!
Rachel Dekman
So good. Very authentic hole in the wall feel. Even when packed service is quick and nice. There is a small patio outside which is nice. Just as a warning there is only one bathroom and its pretty tiny
Tiffany Chou
Delicious vegan burrito! I'm dairy-intolerant, and I can't eat Mexican food stuffed with cheese and sour cream. But I can fill that void here! The potato y poblano vegan burrito is amazing. I went with non-vegan friends and they loved their burritos too! Tacos aren't bad either!
eddie c
The spicy margaritas, tortillas and guacamole were great.
Gratitude Attracts Blessings - Sam
Awesome Mexican restaurant with all the traditional options and for those who are vegan, with a vegan flavor. The chips are awesome. The guacamole is delicious. Everything was delicious.
Two areas of seating and a bar. The drinks ate strong.
Very clean restaurant.
Bridget was awesome. Made several recommendations.
Rik kern
This place is just great. From the chips and salsa to the guacamole and great asortment of tacos. This hole in the wall is decked with Mexican themed items and has a dia de los muertos type of them. But the food is awesome. I'm seriously impressed. Highly recommended. Only down side to this place is the restroom situation. And a very small bar area. But I think even that only adds to the esthetic.
Chad Isnor
Food was delicious, ingredients were fresh. Our servers were really nice and checked on us frequently. The restroom had a very "unique" setup but was well-maintained.
Chuck Reisinger
A damn fine dive mexican joint. Mama's gets a lot of praise but this joint offers a great happy hour and food. For just couple of bucks you can down a varirty of street tacos!
Try the purple drink of the Double El Cheap Margarita!
Iris D
Cesar salad and vegan tacos were delicious! Nice people and good service. But a little pricey. 2 tacos n a salad were $20.
Durell Durham
100% Plant Based, Very tasteful, fresh, and great price. Extremely nice staff... pleasingly surprised. Really enjoyed it. Would go back!!
Devin Reever
Good drinks, tacos could be a bit more tasty. Service not that great. Only a couple servers really acknowledge you and serve the customer. The rest seem to wander around.
Adam Rothstein
Decent offering of vegetarian and vegan options. I had the soyrizo, and while it was good, it wasn't the best I've had. Nice place to stop for drinks and a snack though, and although it is right on Pike Place, it wasn't nearly as expensive as I thought it might be.
Darren Laberee
Terrific and serving later than most other restaurants we tried. Not very expensive, and more authentic SW fare than I was expecting. Try the pineapple infused tequila, most delicious.
Emily Gafari
Excellent price for happy hour! Tiny tacos, but they’re (almost) a dollar each so I think they’re a fair size for the price. SUPER strong margs! Get the double!
Troy Martin
Tasty tacos and margaritas. Great location for a quick bite at the Market.
John Williams
Best tacos in downtown Seattle! Awesome sauces and flavors. Service is a bit hit or miss. Getting refills is hard, the tables are tiny.
Nathan Hobbs
I had the soyritzo borrito and my partner had the potato one (the vegan ones). They tasted pretty good but they were 90% rice, you could barely see any potato or soyritzo inside the tortilla. I wouldn't go back I'm afraid.
Kyle S
Had a tinga de pollo burrito and the El cheapo margherita. They were both awesome! The staff was super friendly as well! Awesome salsa bar to eat with your chips or main course!
cristian tapia
pretty good mexican food the birria burrito was delicious !!! service it's ok...
Matteo Bertolotti
Awesome Seitan bowl with very good flavor. Must have definitely.
Excellent service from the staff. Definitely recommended.
Kurt Abe
El Borracho can get crowded expect to wait if you're party is larger than 2 or 3 people. Vegans you're in luck, El Borracho offers vegan nachos, quesadillas, and soyrizo tacos. Go for happy hour and enjoy the cheap tacos and "el cheapo" margaritas. You won't regret it.
Venkat Akkinepally
The burritos were very filling and tasted good.
Aaron Hammill
The served a burrito that was bigger than my head. I was there on Sunday afternoon after an epic Saturday night. Cheap margaritas and monsterous, delicious burritos brought me back to life. I owe you my life El Borracho!
JonathanFG21
Happy hour was ok, order a few different tacos papa's y pablano was the best. Was disappointed when I ordered a fish taco and was told they didn't have any then asked for another kind and was also told they were sold out.
Ryan
Tasty Mexican food with good veggie options and a nice atmosphere! Quesadilla and tacos, both with soyrizo, were great! Vegan cheese on the vegan nachos was just ok.
Josh Cech
Happened to chat with a cook here who had such passion for vegan methods, despite the menu not being exclusively vegan. I was impressed by his creativity and execution. The food was fantastic, fresh, and full of flavor.
Aaron Shaver
Delicious vegan food! Friendly staff. Food came to out pretty fast. Impossible Burger taco is tasty.
Ashley Silver
Vegan nachos were out of this world and I have eaten a lot of vegan nachos. Only reason I am giving this a 3 star and not 4 is because the staff is a little cold and slow with waiting tables, however I will return again.... simply for dem nachos!
W S
Food is a little too nontraditional for me tortilla chips included. No burrito offerings.
Fine for the price, which is around $10-12.
P Perez
Some of the best, juiciest tacos I've had. Price was really good especially for the area and service was lightning quick. Amazing place and highly recommend it
Galina Gedz
Happy hour menu is great. Little tacos are delicious. The staff is friendly. The place is always packed and a bit dirty. Overall I like this place.
Art Gola
Great little Mexican place. The tacos are delicious and they have an assortment of self service sauces. There is limited outdoor seating.
Beth Behr
I'll be dreaming of those barbacoa nachos until we meet again. The drinks were delicious, service was outstanding, and prices were fair. Totally recommend!
Tori Turner
After a poor experience at a place down the street we decided to give this place a try on cinco de mayo. Their $5 margarita was good and the chips and salsa were good too. The service was great.
John Knuth
Good food and margaritas [pineapple habanero was my flavor of choice]. Love the variety in proteins for the more adventurous eaters [ex. rabbit, beef tongue, beef cheek, goat]
Lili de Oliveira
Fantastic tacos, $ 4 margaritas, and house made hot sauce fridge!
Galen Wahlmeier
You will like it. You won't be disappointed. Only I will be disappointed because I won't be able to find a table. Yes it's that good. And in the heart of the city. Right in a tourist spot. The food comes out fast and is really good so eat up and let the rest of us have a seat.
Matt Beyea
Been here twice now. Best burritos I've had. Lots of different salsas to choose from , great guacamole. Can't go wrong with this place !
Camilo Gomez
Can’t speak for the food, stop by the $4 margaritas and got a $8 drink they are amazing, must stop by for a drink or a bite, service is fast and food comes out fast
Kevin Stuart
Just here for drinks and the margaritas were awesome!
Brad S
Busy place, tacos are awesome. My suggestion don't order too many at once, they are bigger than you expect. Great hot sauce selection.
Connie Hsu
Amazing food, we had been waiting for them to open up for about a month now!! They’re 100% plant based and 100% delicious.
Jeremiah Martinez
Service was ok waited awhile just to get water and a menu had to go online and look before they got to me. Once I got my food it was not disappointing excellent food and drink. It would get a full 5 stars if service was a little faster.
PK carson
Guy in the duck shirt is amazing. Not sure his name. He is adorable tho!! Service is quick. "Street tacos" were ok. Not enough flavor in the tacos. Good choice here
Andrea
Yummy vegan food! We live close by and we hit this place up once a week. Friendly staff and good vibes.
cam baker
Best burrito I've ever had. So much choice on the menu, awesome friendly staff, awesome tasty food! $4 margaritas!
Yash Bhatt
Amazing vegan options! They have soyrizo and potatoes and a mushroom melange option for vegans. Very well flavored and large portions for the nachos and burrito.
Rodrigo “El totopo” Orozco
Good tasting Mexican food at a reasonable price. They have many great vegetarian and vegan options and many traditional Mexican dishes that are hard to find elsewhere.
Phil Shanygin
Fantastic food, I will go again. My burrito was so good I got a second to take home!
Danielle Nguyen
Homemade tortillas! A little too thick for me, but very delicious!
Haven't been to their happy hour, but I hear good things about it! Check it ouuuut~
Roberto Nieves
Open late WITH food, which is a HUGE plus. Some bars don't serve food past a certain time. These guys gave me an absolutely amazing beef and cheese quesadilla at 1130 at night on a Saturday. That's a win in my book.
Nick
Good place for a drink and some tacos & chips and salsa. Happy hour tacos were pretty small and the margarita was a bit weak, but we'll give the place another shot because we live nearby.
Susan Zurek
The tacos are amazing, try the beef marinated in coca cola. The prices are great and the service is fine. Don't forget to help yourself to the salsa refrigerator!
Caroline DeJong
Very good vegan Mexican food! Try the al pastor taco and burrito! Friendly staff and convenient downtown location.
Priscilla Flores
All they have is tacos and burritos. And none of the protein options are just old school mex. Like, say, carne asada tacos. I feel like they tried too hard. Not for me but my friends like it. One of them loves the vegan tacos.
Sam Yang
Conclusion: very close to authentic Mexican tacos I've had while living in Merida Yucatan. Recommend cochinita pibil and camarón!
This was the second restaurant closest to what I had at the taquerias in Mexico. I lived in Merida Yucatan for nearly 9 years, and had many opportunities to try tacos de cochinita pibil, al pastor, mariscos, etc. So far, the best taqueria in the US, in my opinion, is the one in Sausalito, CA (refer to my other review) and I'll give this restaurant the second place. The only downside was orchata and jamaica.
* This was a review based on my personal experience; I acknowledge that every person has unique preferences and taste buds.
Juan Andrés Espinosa Torres
We had one al pastor bowl and two pastor burritos. Food is average and ok, but the waitstaff is rude and this dampens the experience
Regina Celeste Gebken
Quesadilla was only made with mozzarella, so it turned firm and chewy very quickly. A Pacifico costs $5. This a 3 because waitstaff was great.
Anthony Ochoa
Great spot for locals and tourists alike. Personally, I go for the tacos de al pastor y de carnitas. It's a busy area, so don't expect a quite time there. Grab a beer, grab a taco, have a good time.
Mark Jordan
Good happy hour beer and food menu. Dollar tacos were the best. Good quality food. Nice casual atmosphere a block away from Pike's Place market
Logan Long
Great food in the iconic market area. I can't get enough of their red pumpkin seed sauce they have in their "puerco con pipian rojo" tacos. The all day $4 margaritas helps too haha
Rebecca Hamilton
Love the pork tacos here. To beef was a bit dry though. They also make decent margaritas. Love how friendly the servers are.
Chris Sorokan
I agree with other reviewers that the tacos could be tastier and the servers could be a little more attentive but the atmosphere was great here and prices were excellent, especially during happy hour.
Adriana Evette Hernandez Torres
Visited Seattle with my best friend in 2015 and I still dream about their Horchata and their papas y poblano tacos!! Mind you I live in Denver where there’s so much Mexican food variety and I’m also mexican myself but their food was really good in our opinion
Jennifer Brandon
Great little place with options for vegans, veggies, or carnivores. Menu has per taco ordering options so you can try more than one kind - which I recommend!
Joseph Sebast
Great burritos and tacos, friendly staff, and clean. My favorite Mexican food in downtown Seattle! Lunch hour can get pretty hectic, so get there before noon for lunch.
Dave White
Great food and reasonable prices! Plus, the have $4 margaritas!
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful also. Would highly recommend!
Carlos Chavez
Cool hipster spot with awesome nachos albeit a bit pricey. If you are vegan, definitely check this place out. One of very few places that stock vegan cheese.
Zach Etahiri
Marg I ordered was very meh, service was sparse and inattentive. The kid who was a support staff that might was rude and pushy The guacamole was pretty good but that’s all I can really say for positives.
Ken Bergmann
The tacos are simply a delight. Pair with tourist-grade margaritas and friendly, gorgeous staff, and you have an excellent combination of which Seattle can be proud.
M H
Small but great lunch and happy hour. Wet burritos and el cheapo margs are where its at. Always friendly service, great place to bring visitors or hit up for work day lunch and happy hour.
Jerry England
Great food and amazing service!!!
Christina Raether
Amazing food and service.
Carolyn Manning (The Thoughtful Chef)
Great food, best margaritas
Carlos Sanchez
best michelada in town.. great food. great prices..
Divine Will
Vegan Mexican Food!! Wish they had a better tap list and bloody Mary mix to accompany it
Paige Crouse
Came here for margaritas and vegan fare and it was all deliciousness! Intimate indoor setting with open patio seating on the sidewalk for people watching views.
Mark Fraser
Great food! Great margaritas!! Great and friendly service. Take a window seat people watching is amazing in Seattle. Try the guacamole and chips too!
Nick Setten
some of my favorite tacos in Seattle. Not to mention the El Cheapo. Go for happy hour. Mexican Coca-Cola-braised Carnitas and killer Al Pastor!
