Reviews of Daniel's Broiler

Service is super good. We ordered Alaska King Crab, Clam Chowder, Spicy Prawn, and Bacon Wrapped Scallop. I think the Clam Chowder is not as good as the Pike Place Market one, but everything else are excellent. My favorite is the Spicy Prawn, very flavorful and not an item I usually see in seafood restaurants. Had a good experience, would recommend!

Great views of south lake union! I went here with a couple of friends and they all enjoyed the food. Did not expect them to have a vegetarian menu, which was great however the vegetarian item I got tasted average. The cocktails were very innovative and delicious. Lastly, our server was great! Would definitely recommend trying this place!

Not sure about their other locations, but for this one I would say it’s environment > food. Seafood is good (and service is fantastic) but I would have a pretty high expectation because of the price tag😅 The fish was a bit dry, and the veggies on the side way too salty. View is great, though!

Great service and atmosphere!
But if you're looking for a memorable steak, this is not it.
The bacon wrapped scallops were well received by my party, that's the only positive thing I have to say about the food, out of the things we've tried.
Judy McConnell
The roasted chicken was cooked to perfection. It had a wonderful taste and was very moist. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. They give you enough potatoes for 3 people. The staff were very friendly. Our waiter, Curtis gave exceptional service. The restaurant sits on the water and every table has a great view.

(12/30/2021) It should have been a 5 Star rating but unfortunately the service at the bar was lack luster at best. The food arrived hot, which was good, but the attention to detail (ex. offering more wine when a glass was empty for 25 minutes is a MISS in my books). Thus, you will notice we ordered a bottle just to keep that particular situation under "our" control. Other than that, the meal was perfect. From the Filet Mignon Steak Strips to the Seared Ahi Tuna and the Garlic Mashed Potatoes, the servings were perfect for sharing and made for a wonderful meal. Poised on the edge of Lake Union makes for a photo op at every turn. I can see Daniels Broiler being our go-to whenever we are in Seattle, next time we'll just order the bottle of wine from the beginning to save us any concern later.

Really good! Expensive but you get quality. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely come in dressed up. This place has a nice view of Lake Union and Gas works park. Go take out someone special!

This place has always been a Seattle gem. I haven't been there for years and we recently decided to go in on a whim . The location is incredible showcasing downtown & Lake Union. We had an incredible experience . The food and service were exceptional . We had a fantastic shrimp appetizer, and an amazing tomahawk steak cooked to perfection . I would highly recommend this top notch steak house. It does an amazing job showcasing the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer !!! Not for those trying to get by on a tight budget, but you absolutely get what you pay for !!! In this case an exceptional Seattle dining experience!!!

We came for a birthday dinner. The food is decent but Definitely not worth the price. I can cook better salmon than what they have here
Aaron R
Very nice location on the water. I really enjoyed the clam chowder, it was some of the best I've ever had. All my appetizers tasted amazing. Staff is very friendly and professional.

Note: Take into account Covid and staffing. The place is getting dated. The view and venue are very nice. The furnishings are dated and showing ware and tear. The service wasn't that great. Bread came late, not the best. Drinks were expensive and just ok. Took forever to get our food. Claimed our ticket got lost :-( They did adjust our bill and offered Cheese cake to go. But overall not the experience I would expect from an expensive upscale restaurant. Just my two cents check it out yourselves and see what ya think.

This restaurant is a great place if someone is looking for a stellar wine list or a great view of Lake Union. I was especially happy because the service was outstanding and they treated my mother with great respect. All of the spirits I had at my table were wonderful, and the steaks, lobster, and scallops were all good quality.
On the flip side, the place was about triple the cost of what I could get a similar plate for in Montana, and I would get a better steak in Montana. There were spider webs off to the side of my table on the patio, and the 4 very small scallops on crackers for 30 bucks wasn't what I was expecting. The biggest let down was I was expecting a 13 ounce single north Atlantic lobster tail. Finding single tail that large is rare sometimes and I was excited. Instead I was given two small lobster tails that don't compare to a previous lb tail that I used to get often at Cedars in CDA.
Although this place is quality, I just know that it wasn't a cost-efficient option. There is one of the best wine and beverage lists I've seen in that area of Seattle, and I understand that many people pay for exclusivity too. Service was outstanding, but the food could've been better.
In the future I will pick a different option. There are just too many good places to get seafood downtown, and I can get a better steak back home.
Rachelle “Ryka” Basset
Phenomenal service, exceptional food. Had a wonderful experience with our server, Molly. She was quick, attentive, kind, engaging, and had a wonderful sense of humor!
Bernadette Alexander
Always good food. No valet parking at the time but we were able to find free parking at the top. Our waitress was cute but had a fake butt that was kind of funny.
Katia Ortiz
The food doesn't have a lot of flavors, the price is high for what you get; they reduced their plant-based menu by a lot and options are limited, the view is nice and the staff is amazing.
Davis Wu
This place is really pricey. Probably not worth it even though it's really good. Easily a $100-200 meal.
Mary Hornsby
Excellent food and service. My salmon and my husband's steak were prepared perfectly and the mashed potatoes were the best we've ever had at a restaurant. The creme brulee dessert was also excellent.
The only drawback was getting to the downstairs floor, which was available only via a long stairway or going outside and around the side to an entrance to the lower floor, which was not an attractive option in the cold and dark.
The food was well worth it, though.

Obviously this is a nice restaurant. I don't need to tell you that... So let's ignore that for now.
Every year I take my crew out to celebrate another year of working in our industry. I try to take them out to a restaurant that is way beyond our regular eating experiences. Daniel's Broiler is definitely on that list. We get there at 3pm, they open at 3pm, and ask to be seated somewhere with a view. Easy. We were the first people there and had a lot of table options. Our server, Jeanette, was awesome. I'm sure she could tell we were a little rough around the edges and a little out of our element compared to other people there. We weren't too loud...and had a lot of questions. Lol! I should say that customer service and genuine connection with the restaurant waiter at most establishments have really gone down hill over the last 5 or so years. Not our server. Jeanette was great and had no problem answering our questions, making super good recommendations from the menu, joking with us (not disrespectful) and making the experience fun while being an efficient server. Jeanette, thank you. You are awesome! Everyone at Daniel's Broiler, thanks for being there and delivering an experience to remember for myself and my people. We all had a really good time with a great view of the boats in Lake Union. We spent a lot of money but that was the plan!
AND, as you already know, the food was great! We had a bunch of steaks and desserts. Thanks again.
Galen Sather
The food was good, and the service was EXCELLENT. I wasn't super impressed with the drinks (I ordered an old fashioned which was awful, and a Manhattan which was okay). In the end, I was surprised to find a 20% service charge that doesn't go directly to the wait staff, so if you want the excellent servers to take home a tip, you end up having to tip again. Essentially, expect to pay 50% more than the cost of the menu due to tax and tips. Disappointed in Daniel's broiler leadership choices.
Torrey Henderson
Absolutely incredible!! Service - amazing! Drinks - perfect! Food - excellent! We will definitely be coming back whenever we find ourselves back in Seattle. They include gratuity so any additional tip is optional.
Neil Cullen
Customer Service was good from the time we entered the restaurant. Our waitress Maria was great! Very attentive, friendly and accommodating. The halibut was initially a little well done but they corrected and presented a delicious replacement.
Nikita Atkerson
Before getting into the quality of service and food I would rate this place a 5 star but this absolutely ruins it, People need to know to expect to pay a 20% Service charge that DOES NOT go to the employees that are serving to you. It is not a gratuity charge, this charge specifically goes to the owner of the restaurant, so if you’re planning to tip your server or bartender prepare to tip another 20% or whatever you believe they deserve for the service they provided to you. Absolutely ridiculous and greedy of the owner but I know I’ll be paying the extra 20% to make sure employees know their service is appreciated!
Other then that, food is amazing steak is always tender and juicy, service is smooth, my husband and I barley felt that we even waited for our food before it arrived. And the employees are amazing, very professional and have great positive attitudes so that’ll be the only reason I would come back. Side note - if your wondering what appetizer to choose the Bedford bacon wrapped scallops are amazing. Expect to at least spend $500 for 2 people if your ordering the $18 drinks.
Mike Truty
Simple: nail the flavors, service (Kacy), and ambience and people return. My first DB experience was 30 years ago and I’m not that old. Always feels like a special occasion and I just got an app and salad. Good people. Class.
Ian Fink
Absolutely amazing food. I only had a few appetizers and a drink, but they were good enough that I fully plan on returning, despite a trip costing almost what I make in a day.
The steak fries (really small strips of steak in a delicious teriyaki simmer sauce) were cooked to perfection, as expected, and melted in my mouth without being fatty, something even high end places struggle to do.
I've never liked Ahi, but the Ahi here was good enough that I, someone who strongly dislikes almost all fish, would pay the exorbitant price for it again. Flavorful, juicy, and beautiful.
The margarita was punchy enough that you can tell they weren't stingy with the tequila, but the bartender experienced enough to allow the other flavors to shine in their own right (no $20 glass of pure tequila with a suggestion of lime here).
To top it off, the service was absolutely stellar. No empty glass or dish stayed on the table for more than 30 seconds, water never dropped below the halfway mark, and the server came with the cheque unprompted exactly when we mentioned we needed to leave as we sat down.
S Aaron
One of the top steak restaurants in Seattle. Excellent steaks and seafood. Great place to have a private romantic dinner. The prices are some of the most expensive in Seattle but $68 for a filet is worth it because of the quality of the meat. The desert is worth saving room for.
Dushyant Maheshwary
Went here for dinner on Valentine's Day. We had a reservation, but they were running behind, so offered us a seat in the bar area. Service was still pretty good. Ambience is nice. We ordered crispy artichoke hearts for appetizer. It was pretty good. For mains, I ordered kimchi fried grains and rice from the plant based menu. It was incredible! Very flavorful! My wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and she loved it as well. Staff was very friendly. We had a great time! Highly recommend!

Finally got to be back after a break due to the pandemic. Took a while for us to get our food but given us mother's day i guess its ok. Steak got all mixed up as well but we didn't let that dampen our moods.
M.K
All I can say is Wow! Dined in for our anniversary and everyone was so helpful and kind. Steaks were cooked on point, appetizers and sides were all delicious. This place goes above and beyond and we will be back!
John Brugger
The service was great! The prime rib was good, but not great as I would expect from a steak house of this caliber. The bacon wrapped scallops and popcorn shrimp were wonderful!
Ms. Baby
Best steaks around! Great ambience, exceptional service. I live in the Portland metro area and I dined here for several of my bdays. I was so impressed with them for my 40th bday, we were running late for our 10pm reservation. By the time we got there they were close to closing. They still seated us and allowed us to enjoy our meal and take our time. The chef even made me some mushroom gravy for my mashed potatoes even though they did not have that on their menu! They really treated me like a Queen for my 40th! We passed through Seattle today amd we had dinner. It was a little different due to the pandemic. Their menu is a bit different there were things that I always get everytime I go that were not on the menu. Nonetheless I enjoyed my delicious ribeye, with garlic mashed potatoes, and raspberry sorbet for dessert. If you love a good steak dinner I highly recommend Daniel's Broiler - South Lake Union
Darnell Sue
We sat outside this time and it ended up being a little too hot (100% my choice not to sit inside but we just don't get too many amazing warm days on the water so I couldn't resist), so if it were hot out and I sat outside again, I would not sit directly in the sun. Also, we brought our own white wine to uncork; the waiter came and went to and from our table three times before we finally asked if we could have it put on ice. Maybe it was just an oversight but I doubt that would happen in the main dining room. The rest of the service was decent however, and the food is consistent between every Daniel's, ie: you know what you're going to get quality -wise, which is why we keep going back.
Hannah Nelmark
Superb dinner, with superior service and a beautiful view. Thank you to our waiter Jordan for making this such an amazing dining experience. Highly recommend! Oh and try the port flight- I’ve never seen something like that, and absolutely loved it.
Sophia Asing-Yuen
Solid steakhouse with quality meat, classic sides, a great ambience, and excellent service. Great for a swanky date night or more formal dinner- be prepared for a hefty bill. My filet mignon was cooked to medium rare perfection. Definitely recommend Oscar style (topped with crab and bearnaise) if you’re feeling decadent. My only critique is the cocktails were consistently on the sweet side.
TerpsTalk
Delicious food all around, every time yummy. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere, wish there was more desert though.
Lindsey Smith
Omgoodness... So good. All of the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Ambiance was darker than I prefer but still good. Food was excellent. Prime rib Oscar style was possibly the best I've had (and I've tried a lot). I will be back.
Hovo Sepuhyan
This is my favourite restaurant in the whole area. I had the best steak. Bar was great. Fantastic views and location. Service was also great. Definitely looking forward to go back when in town. Also their seafood options are one of the best in town.
Caitey Andersen
Nice restaurant right on Lake Union with great views from both the restaurant and lounge/bar. We had wonderful service during our lunch. There were many vegetarian/vegan options, even though the focus is on steak and seafood. I had a crispy tofu started and a delicious beet salad with a side of jumbo asparagus.
There is also a large dessert menu and happy hour available in the lounge.
There is an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, regarless of party size. This seems to be typical of all restaurants in the area.
Mike
Food was not over the top expected more for the money my ticket for 2 adults and 1 child was over $500 don't like restaurants that put the tip on ticket with only me my wife and child food was average at best view was over the top loved it
Jack Chang
A traditional steak / seafood place with stunning views of Lake Union, Gasworks Park and Queen Anne. Great service, friendly staff and quality food. Amazing selections of wine. Perfect spot for various occasions.
Michael Myint
Great food, great service, and good atmosphere. The prices are high but in line with other steak places and reasonable cslue for the price. Costco sells gift certificates for 20 percent off. A very nice meal for a special occasion.
Rafael Tello-Cabrales
Fantastic service, good job at keeping physical distance while also not feeling isolated. Steak was pretty good, and they split the steak for us. They have a very good wine list, and the markup is fairly reasonable for a place like this.
Jasminka Petrish
Excellent service and great food.
Tony X
Great place for a view and great food as always. They do not have valet anymore, which is a bit disappointing. Also, be prepared for the automatic gratuity of 20% added to your bill. A bit tacky but pretty common in Seattle these days as restaurants have been forced to pay their workers a living wage now and take %100 of the gratuity to make up for doing so.
Melissa harris
Beautiful location, we were planning on eating on the patio, but it was supposed to rain, so we opted to stay indoors. Food was delicious, service was outstanding!
Wendy Love
4.75 stars. My review is the Lobster Bisque. It was overly salted. Could be a one off night for the bisque.
Keith Wellborn
Shout out to Kelci for the exceptional service! The food was, as expected, over the top amazing! Dessert was delicious too! The view was equally as good! Highly recommend this place!
Merritt Mahre
I'm never disappointed when visiting Seattle/or living here, and eating at Daniel's. The view/ ambiance, staff, cocktails, and food is a must do!!! I had a remarkably kind and personable experience with Molly tonight and she made my dinner alone simply wonderful.
Love this place.
Simon Schick
You get comparatively large portions for the money you spend, quality is top notch and service was super nice.
Their ahi tuna is amazing.
Jasmine Myers
Four of us went for a birthday dinner 10/8/22 & were quite disappointed. Our server was inexperienced & clearly nervous the whole time, but very sweet & trying hard. When we go to certain restaurants, like Daniel’s & spend $800, we expect a level of service & food. Service was slow, dirty dishes were left on our table for long periods of time even with our server & busser coming to the table & us stacking & placing the dishes on the side of the table. Two of our four steaks were over cooked. My husband had his remade as it’s expensive & wasn’t served how he ordered it, so he sat without food the entire time the rest of us ate. We understand as we cook steaks often and know it’s easy to sometimes overcook one, but it ruined the experience. I had to ask for the vegetable side he ordered to be brought out warm with his recooked steak. So he had to wait longer for his veggie side once he finally got his steak & potatoes back. Our server did bring him a scoop of sorbet to tide him over while we all ate our dinners 😂 The sorbet was delicious (guava lime), but not what he wanted when he was hungry & watching us eat. They didn’t offer to discount his meal, comp a drink or anything. The toppings for my baked potato didn’t come out with my meal so I had to wait till we were checked on to ask for them. When our sever brought the serving bowls of toppings out, she couldn’t get the butter off the serving spoon so she spread the restaurant serving spoon across my plate, that I’d been eating off for several minutes. She did the same with the sour cream. These spoons and bowls are what they serve the potato toppings from for every table. That’s gross and should be a huge no no now since Covid, c’mon! I wondered how many eaten off plates that spoon had spread across that day!
Then we sat for way too long after dinner & nobody offered us a dessert menu. I asked another server & she brought us the menus. Then our server came out with their complimentary birthday sundae, for our birthday girl, before even asking any of us if we would like to order dessert, or even see a menu. So we all had a few bites of the sundae, but would’ve preferred to order our own desserts.
Two of us ordered Piedmontese filets & they were not as tender or lean as we expected.
I grew up going to Daniel’s at different locations & have appreciated the great food & service for over 20 years of my adult life, but the last two times have been disappointing. Our bill last night did not align with the quality of food or service we received. Sadly, I’m not at all interested in going back again now. We can get better service elsewhere, make better drinks and cook better steaks at home.
Mark Davison
Please note: Daniel's Broiler on Fairview NO LONGER OFFERS HAPPY HOUR!
We were there 12/30/22. Appitizers were great - Ahi is perfect. Lobster bisque right on the edge of being too salty.
Wine Traveler
Great date night spot. Great wine list.
Scott Witherow
4 stars because, well, it's very VERY good. But the prices are above what the experience is worth. Do t get me wrong, I will readily pay for a GOOD steak, which Daniel's delivers... but it's just over the top expensive.
A Smith
Daniel's is my go-to on South Lake Union for an intimate, upscale evening on the waterfront. The food and cocktails are always delicious, views are spectacular, parking (valet) is convenient and the service is always amazing! Daniel's is great for happy hours, business dinners, large groups and special occasions. I highly recommend it!
beau revell
Went to a wedding there. It was a very good experience. The staff was amazing, they went above and beyond for us. I would recommend this place for your next event.
Eric S
First, I want to make a note that the service and restaurant itself are both commendable. It's a good bar area...a lively atmosphere...and great service.
The food, on the other hand...particularly the beef...is subpar. I'm not sitting here telling you that I'm Nolan Ryan (yes, the old pitcher...he's a large cattle rancher in Texas) and can tell you everything you need to know about a cut of steak...but i know a good steak when I get one, and buddy, this wasn't it. At $82 for a rib-eye, I expect a ton better. This was a flavorless, odorless, definitely not from the first cut steak. Maybe this is what passes for a "steakhouse" in Seattle, but not by our standards down here...
I cannot speak to the rest of the menu, and maybe meat is just not the best choice on it. But don't bill yourself as steakhouse with prices like that on what tastes like select grade beef boiled in water with a little butter drizzled on top.
Shad Kerr
Service was good, but they're very heavy handed with the salt. I dont feel the food was worth the price.
Carsten Nielsen
Ordered a stake and mash, glass of wine. All in all really nice, BUT not near worth it, when you can get almost the same at Routh/chris. I have been to Daniels before and it was no longer extra ordinary tender and flavor, and crust was "to burned" and be aware that when they write service fee is included, it really not and is added to tab. Long story short I left feeling robbed.
M Patrick
Absolutely wonderful experience. The food is cooked to perfection, the staff is trained and very proper. They are educated on their food and recommendations. Management is doing a spectacular job. Keep up the good work DB :) The Hoyle's will be back.
Lucy M. Coronel
This was a very Beautiful yet Amazing place.. The food was beyond delicious and the Waiters and guest that works here are so friendly and helpful. Good vibes and everything was Perfect.!
B. F.
Host was not friendly which was really surprising for a place that charges that much. Asked her for the patio but she said it's reserved however we did not see a sole in there the whole time we were there. The waiter was good though.
Koki T.
The restaurant is located in South Lake Union, and it has a great view. You might see seaplanes taking off and landing.
I tried Filet Mignon. It was a good flavor and size.
The inside wasn't so noisy and had a nice atmosphere. So I think you can use this restaurant for a dinner with important guests.
Trey Littell
This is my favorite lunch spot! The steaks are amazing as most dinner diners are already aware of. But they have impressive and well priced lunch options too. I must specifically say the filet mignon chili and link chili dog is the best chili dog I have ever had. Everything on the menu is on point and the drinks are delightful. Spoil yourself; go to Daniel’s 😋🤩🤫.
Daniel Warner
First time in. What a great experience! We came in for lunch. Asked our names and then radioed some one and asked of they could seat us by our names. It's those small things that set you apart. Views, steller, food exceptional. I got an IPA, wish it was a little more hoppy but that's just me. The steak sandwich which was AMAZING. Will def be back.
Daniel Stecker
Spent our first date(and her birthday) in a very very long time here and the food, service, and restaurant as a whole was absolutely perfect. Molly our waitress was amazing and so helpful and attentive. Even getting there at closing do too circumstances they still honored our reservation happily. I'd give more stars if I could! Thank you to the wonderful staff
Aman Shah
Very good selection of whiskey, they have like 8 beers, not that much food. But the whiskey is amazing and is definitely worth the visit.
Maria
You can never go wrong with good steak and seafood + awesome drinks with a view!!! The price is worth admission
Zung Do
The food was good but the service was so slow. We saw our dessert prepped and ready to go but it was sitting there for 10 minutes before it came to our table.
Borf Buppo (Borf_Buppo)
Probably one of the nicest places to eat in Seattle. If you have the budget and really want a memorable meal this spot will rock your world.
Miranda Okleberry
Absolutely fabulous experience! The food could not have been better and Jordan provided excellent service the entire time. We also got a complementary dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary. The view from our table was outstanding as well. This is definitely a pricey place but the whole experience was totally worth it. Jordan also saved my life when a bee landed in my lap during dinner😂
Lance Jacobsen
Excellent food and experience. My wife took me and my family there for my birthday
Michelle Owley
The meal was amazing! The wedge salad was flavorful and not overdressed. The crispy sear on the steaks added a fabulous crunch and smokey flavor. The citrus martini was fresh and delightful. Throughout the entire meal we were in constant appreciation of the fantastic meal that was prepared for us. We're already planning our next visit. Perfect place for a special occasion.
Vera Fuchs
We had a couple of small issues 1st was a dirty plate for bread on our table when we were seated plus bent silverware. While the pork chop I had was delicious the sauce that it came with had broken. The view is beautiful, The service was good, But I'm not sure I would go back again, Still it is a beautiful restaurant and for a special celebration I could see where it would be a very nice location.
Mike Hoswell
Overall dining and serving experience is really a five star review. One of the most amazing presentations and flavors of rosemary / red pepper jelly Lamb Chops that I've had. Very attentive service from the staff. Great service.
Let's talk about the 20% mandatory service charge that many others have mentioned.
I really don't mind paying for the experience. I would probably round up past that %. But the actual allocation of those monies are unacceptable. The restaurant claims: "100% of this service charge is retained by Schwartz Brothers Restaurants" [and] "servers are paid a base wage and commission".
This messaging doesn't jive with what I hear from the staff who indicate that the service charge doesn't trickle down to them.
Now, as a consumer in the middle, I'm left wondering where the monies are *really* going. And I'm left in the awkward position of tipping just the Schwartz Brothers (who did not serve me) and not my excellent server? Or should I tip on top of the tip? AITA for not tipping the excellent staff? No. I tipped some extra.
But it's a parting gift. And it's unfortunate that I won't be back and won't bring any coworkers here.
Sun Angel
Went for happy hour. Classy, intimate setting. Staff is attentive, food is delicious.
Sam Brotherton
The food was outstanding. The view was great even though it was a grayish day. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Adam Goetz
Came for dinner on my partner's birthday. Good view of the lake. Our server Carlos was upbeat, knowledgeable, and very friendly. He took great care of us and was neither overbearing nor absent. The coconut desert was like a Samoa cookie and so good. Had a great dinner as always.
Gary&Rochelle Taber
It's good but expensive, more expensive than good. Great location though.
Peace Love Joy
You have to experience the steak for yourself, pictures wouldn't do it justice. This wine was new to me and superb.
Tiffany Henry
If you have some money to burn for a special occasion, and love great steak, then this is the place in Seattle for you. Not only does it have a stunning view of the Seattle skyline and pier, the ambience inside is wonderfully romantic as well, with a fireplace in each corner of the restaurant. I suggest the glazed ribeye, it is what they are known for. But if you choose to get steak you won't be disappointed either, as this is the first place i'd been to in years that even remotely knew how to do a steak. You must visit this steakhouse immediately!
Michael Holtz
Great location. Unique old school building design. Perfect for steak. Patio is awesome. Good was good, I had the New York and it was cooked perfectly. Service was the weaker spot... It took a while to get service and the service was short and abrupt. Not what you'd expect for a 20% auto gratuity.
Donghee seong
Professional service and high-class steak and food. Quite expensive but we had pretty good experience. Very fine restaurant
Chrystal Helmcke
Excellent service. So thankful for the amazing plant-based menu. Delightful location for a romantic dinner.
Laura Housley
Came for the 4th of July Fireworks. They were of course very busy, and as a result it was about 20 minutes later than our reservation that we got seated, we never got bread, and the fireworks had started by the time we got our food (1 hour 30 minutes after reservation time). Our server was kind and apologetic and it really wasn’t his fault. The food was good, and the fireworks view is pretty great, but I wouldn’t go again. It felt a little artificial watching the fireworks through the big glass windows since you couldn’t really hear them. It would be good for someone who doesn’t like the fireworks noise though!
Dr. Bomb
They have the fanciest packaging! Even the paper towels in the bathroom have a gold insignia. I felt bad just for using one. PS The couple in the picture of the foyer just got married, and could not take their eyes off their brand new rings. It was really sweet.
Aaron Hume
Always delicious food at a great location. You get what you pay for as one would expect
Robert Kittinger
Excellent food, drinks, view and service. No line when I went. It is expensive. 20% gratuity added to all checks no matter party size when I went last week.

Best experience I’ve ever had at a steakhouse being a vegan/vegetarian!! Started with the Kale Protein salad that had a Agave-Mustard Dressing 🤤 Remarkably our waiter, JOHN, was VEGAN 🌱 and recommended the almond ricotta “cheese” raviolis with the bolognese sauce (they have a vegan penne with plant based “meat” sauce)! OMG SOO SOO GOOD! I honestly may come back tomorrow for the same thing! Thank you Daniels for hiring someone who has the ability to recommend items off the Plant Based Menu based on their personal lifestyle choices! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!

The lobster bisque was amazing. We had calamari and that was cooked perfect. The waiter was amazing. They have the best mash potatoes. Amazing views. The steak was good but not amazing. I was slightly disappointed for the price of the steak.

I had just had an outpatient procedure, for which I'd had to fast. We arrived about 6 pm & were greeted with a smile & immediately seated, with a water view. Our server couldn't have been more efficient or kinder-we received our drinks immediately & enjoyed them while our class chowder (the best I've ever had!) & steak strips were prepared. It was a great experience after a tough day.

If you enjoy steak, this is in my top two restaurants in Seattle. Perfect in quality and preparation. . Service was attentive and excellent. View of Lake Union is excellent and the bar is an amazing combination of selection and show. My only complaint is that the calamari appetizer is only average or worse. Too much salt, batter heavy and greasy and over fried, I would not order again. Frankly most restaurants in Seattle including Arnies in Edmonds do a much better job. I gave five stars because with this one exception the steak, sides, service and atmosphere were excellent!
Aaron Brown
Service was great, food was good, not great. Bill came with a 20% service fee that management keeps, server gets a seperate commission. That is management's prerogative, but I don't agree with it so won't be returning.
Danny Sadeh
Great location. Try to come on sunset. Hugh steaks. Cool atmosphere.
Daniel Clement
Delicious dinner, our server Jose was very friendly and we had a great time.
I had the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and the brussel sprouts. We also had the Cajun shrimp which were great. We went at
JoAndBob Barenberg
Would be a solid 5, but it is too expensive and they automatically add a 20% service charge on top of the taxes.
I would normally tip on service before the government involvement.
J Lam
Great steaks, excellent service and the deep dish cookie is just amazing! Must try!
Celeste DaVault
Never disappoints! Took a client and colleagues here, service was excellent food on point and great views to boot

Stopped here while waiting for traffic to clear up. Friendly staff. They make great drinks. Try the jalapeno margarita, with the excellent wagu burger.
Sandy Landy
The steak is great but the side dishes lack so luster
Albee213
Just opened, waited months to try. Fries way undercooked and limp. Fish and oyster also undercooked. Was ok, value was good for what we ordered, will try again. Just make sure you get your fries cooked long enough.

We had a family birthday dinner here. In summary, the ambiance and food were ok but we are not coming back. The details? We started with a bottle of white whine which was not a bit cold and you know.. "Whites need a chill to lift delicate aromas and acidity".. so the flavor was on the flat side. Since the bottle was almost completely served on the first round everyone got an ok glass of wine.
The food was very well presented and served. Unfortunately most of the meats were barely cooked, we asked for medium-well/no pink.. we got medium-rare at best.. the fish was almost raw, and the pork couldn't eat as it was still pink (which is borderline for this meat).
I know I would pay premium for a meal at an exclusive restaurant but this was way over-priced. We had an excellent meal and drinks at another restaurants in Bellevue and Kirkland (by the lake) for a fraction of what I paid.
Last, I ordered an extra glass of wine. Whrn I got it, I mentioned to the server I did not like the flavor, she mentioned it would be ok if I wanted to change it. I even got a wine-taste to choose from. I thanked them and accepted the offer. Big mistake, "change" meant.. select something else we will charge for both glasses. The second glass was $75 dollars + $25 for the one I returned.. Guess what, that is more than what I paid for the first bottle. I wish the server would have been upfront and would have avoided that situation.
The final straw was the gratuity-service policy.. 20% added, no option. Apparently servers get commission for sales which in my book promotes them offering first the most expensive options.
4 people, 1 bottle of chardonnay + a glass, 4 entrées, and 3 desserts for $600
That's the long story on why we are not coming back.

Food portions were on point and delicious..great drinks as well

Daniel's Broiler on Lake Union is a marvelous location on the lake with amazing views of the city, Gasworks park and boat traffic. Prices are OK, food is excellent, staff are always friendly and the Restaurant is very warm and welcoming.
Alex Vasquez
Amazing food and great service. I loved the Delomonico steak. The chocolate coconut sundae is delicious!
Anthony Wiggins
DBs is a great place to stop before the opera or ballet and have some refreshments
Lisa K
The food was decent, but for the prices they charge it should be really good.
The decor is dated, leather on the seats is terribly worn and hasn't been taken care of, the varnish on the handrails of the chairs looks terrible.
Service was good.

Come here every year before the nutcracker. Never disappointed. Stunning staff, food, and drinks.
Richard Velazquez
Tasty surf and turf options, but a bit on the pricey side. Right on Lake Union, so scenic views when the sun is out.
Dan Loyola
Excellent food, great service. Beautiful view.
Jannette Bailey
We were there for a conference. Food is always outstanding, the service attentive and the atmosphere classy. Always a delight to go to Daniel's!
Andre Alston
There really isn't a bad option on the menu! Phenomenal service to go with the experience!
D B
Not worth the price or the hype BUT I will admit I did not have a full steak. Steak tips was the closest I got. Will never order them again. It really was nothing special. Great service though!
Carolyn M Barb
Last minute decision after we both got off long days at work, but soooooo glad we stopped by! Lovely service and the food was phenomenal. Beautiful views and ambiance! We started with the bacon wrapped scallops, then I had the salmon and he had the porterhouse. We loved every aspect of the evening, thank you so much for a wonderful experience.
Daniel Truman
Service and food was great. I would give 5 stars but for the fact that 20% gratuity is automatically charged on your bill without your knowledge in advance. I'm a good tipper, and when I receive good service, I tip according, sometimes 25-30%. I hate establishments that feel they automatically earn 20% and have done nothing to deserve it.
Kathy Jensen
Such a deliciously delightful find!
Great service!
Great food!
With an amazing view of the Lake Union Habor! We will be coming back next time we are in the area!

Came here for dinner between my mom’s treatments at SCCA. She’s on a very restrictive diet, but they were easily able to accommodate us! George was our waiter, and he was cheerful and funny and super-helpful on every front. I plan on coming back with my wife for a nice dinner sometime soon.
This was also the best outdoor dining experience I’ve had in a long time.
Ignacio Cabezudo
I was about to give a 5 star review for excellent food and service (thank you for the wonderful night Molly), but as I pulled my phone out while on the ferry, I noticed a $40 parking ticket on my windshield for parking in the gravel lot in front of the restaurant.
The lot has no signage to indicate it is pay to park and is next to their "valet only" parking spots. After spending over $350 on dinner, getting a ticket for parking in what seems to be their parking lot is insane. What a way to a spoil a lovely evening.

I came here with friends who were visiting from out of town. My friend loves salmon and ordered it. She said it was the best she'd had in a very long time or perhaps ever. Her daughter shared a steak appetizer and had a salad and some asparagus. She said it was delicious and was very happy with it.
I had the 8 ounce filet with roasted brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were very good, the perfect balance of sweet, savory and salty. The inside was a little tough, removing the stem/core might solve that problem - but still delicious. My steak was perfection. I asked for true medium and it was perfect. I shared some with my friend and she too thought it excellent.
Two small issues; first, the bread while good, was not on the level of the rest of the food. It was perfectly acceptable bread but with the quality of the restaurant and food in general, it fell short. The other problem was our seating. We were placed directly across from the door. It was a cold and windy night. A couple decided to sit outside anyway (there are heat lamps outside). Every time their server brought them anything or went to check on them, we got a blast of icy wind right to our table. Every few minutes the door would open and we'd shiver.
I mentioned this to our server, she was surprised anyone had wanted to eat outside, we were too. The issue might have been resolved by moving us but we didn't specifically request it. It affected our dinner but did not ruin it - the food was too good for that.
Overall, an excellent dinner marred only by a couple of small issues. This was not my first time at Daniel's Broiler and it won't be the last.
Michelle g
Great food, well seasoned and excellent customer service.
Jeff Hazelton
I chose the filet steak strips (actually, nuggets) appetizer and it tasted great! I was quite satisfied with the size of it for the price. Service in the lounge was really attentive and friendly.
Borislava Pupaza
Service was exceptional, the environment was perfect for a Christmas party! A stylish restaurant with delicious food!
Raven Weber
Parking was full, so we had to pay for the lot next door. Busy location, food on par with the others in the chain.
tomas padilla
It was good, decent staff but very pricey if your not in the upper middle class.
Circassia Kline
Amazing food but waiter seemed a bit disinterested….
Tsedi
Amazing customer service with a very delicious food. The view is just breath taking.
Chris Free
This place used to be so alive... It's like the remodeling of south lake union killed the culture and it's just not as central to Seattle as)
Piccola Queens
Mmmmm! Known for its seafood outstanding quality. And rightly so.
Marc Breitenstein
Nice place.. great views.. very relaxing and the service is excellent. Appetizers were great.. Too bad the steak wasn't all that. Prime Rib "bone in" was rather bland. Not much seasoning. Was pretty disappointed in what i got for their price point. It was cooked just as i asked.. maybe they want me to experience the flavor of the steak without any salt?? Very odd to me.. but these guys say they are the best.. so what do i know. I do know Jaks in Issaquah has a better and less expensive steak.
Jenny Rojas
Food was spectacular, service was outstanding, view was stunning. The people at the table in our section were loud, they said a couple of off color remarks. But it was a nice night.
Francis Woo
Great ambience and gorgeous view. Gratuity is included but the server does an amazing job so no need to worry about it.
Jono1231
Amazing food, everything was cooked to perfection.
Very expensive but in my opinion was worth it.
derek T
This place has super good food that comes at a price. Still it was worth every penny. The atmosphere is one of a kind.
knute nuttman
From top to bottom the most outstanding meal I have ever had. Caesar salad New York steak cooked perfectly garlic mashed potatoes to die for then a coconut ice cream sundae. Plus two Mac and Jack beers I ask you is there a better meal on the planet? Not that day
Alaks Sevugan
Service and food were awesome. We were there to celebrate our daughters birthday in Jan 2018. We ordered 12oz steak, mashed potatoes, shrimp popcorn and Caesar salad. Shrimp popcorn was served hot and was very tasty. We were surprised by the larger than expected quantity in the starter dish. Steak was juicy and done as per our request. Service was great and they were very attentive. Even the manager stopped by our table to enquire about the food. To top it all they provided a dessert with candle for the birthday girl and it was on the house. We will definitely go back for the location, ambience, service and the food.
Jessica DiPietro
The staff, service, and valet were very nice. The view is incredible. My only complaint was actually the food - everything I tried, aside from the steak, was a bit "too much." The crab soup was way too sweet, the lobster salad had a bit too much mayo/dressing on it, and the mashed potatoes were too salty. Of course, the steak was divine. So as long as you go in with the expectation that it's more about the experience and that you will definitely be over-paying, you'll be good.
Chris Howell
Absolutely delicious food with insane prices
Leticia Berry
I came here for dinner one night while in Seattle for business. Nice atmosphere and wonderful staff. I sat at the bar and was given excellent service the perfect balance of checking on me but still leaving me alone. Good wine selection.
I ordered the ribeye with mashed potatoes it was cooked perfectly and incredibly buttery.
Marcus Lintault
The ambiance is nice, the outdoor seat has great views. Sadly the $78 rib-eye was tough peice of meat and I was not able to even eat half of it. I get a wayyyy better cut of meat for 1/3 the price at the Wedgewood Broiler.
Jack
Always a great experience. Excellent food, excellent hosts and a view to boot.
Bill and Glory Craig
Yesterday my wife and I celebrated our 16th anniversary by eating brunch at Daniel's Broiler at Lake Union. Being from out of town, we have been wanting to eat at Daniel's for more than 10 years. We were not disappointed. The clouds parted and gave us a sunny couple of hours for a good view of the marina. Our steaks were perfect. We shared a lobster salad that was very good. Our server, Savannah, was great! She took good care of us. She suggested a nice sparkling wine with our meal and then brought us a molten chocolate cake with berries and ice cream for dessert as a gift for our special day. Both of these were on the house. We were touched by the surprise and made a great date even sweeter. We hadn't known about the automatic 20 percent gratuity, but Savannah more than earned it. We left very happy and appreciative of the staff taking our desire for a great anniversary meal seriously. We're so thankful.
Joe Furness
There was nothing wrong with the service, meal, the staff or environment. But I literally can get the same experience at half the cost at other restaurants like Emory's on the lake. 5 stars means exceptional. It's not a popularity contest. Usually I don't rate places unless they are exceptional in something. But my wagyu filet mignon was just as good as my filet at above mentioned restaurant, it was also double the price. I'm expecting more if am going to pay more.
Jacob Tally
Great view, great wine list and beautiful view. Very romantic. My french onion soup was excellent -- the crust a perfect contrast to the gooey, rich spoonfuls of onion.
Service was fine too, but I can't get over the poor value offered by this restaurant when it comes to the meat. I got the lamb chops. Each chop was 2 ribs and they were very unevenly cooked. One was perfectly cooked (medium-rare), one was medium or just past, and the last one was medium rare on the inside but overly burnt and charred on the outside.
For what we walked out paying, it was not worth it and I wouldn't go back without a +$200 gift card to take with me.
Nathan Heishman
This was our first time at Daniels Broiler. We were celebrating an engagement and our waitress Jeanette was amazing. We unfortunately sat next to two large parties who were loud and obnoxious but Jeanette and the manager offered to move us to a quieter location. We didn't mind the noise. The food was amazing. Drinks we're awesome and Jeanette's attentiveness and compassion will bring us and our friends back once again. Thank you Jeanette for making our first time a great one!!!
Tony Curry
Great service and great food. I'll admit I did not eat inside the restaurant, my wife and I had a romantic staycation at the Marriott across the street. While there I picked up take out.
Upon entering the atmosphere was very inviting and the hostesses made me feel very welcome, although not knowing I was picking up a take out order for myself.
One if the hostesses recognized my voice from my phone take out order, introduced herself and excused herself to retrieve my order
Sadly once I walked back to our hotel, my wife realized they'd forgotten a small item and made one of the items incorrectly. Frustrated I called and spoke to the manager who apologized sincerely and offered to have a gift certificate mailed to me. I assumed the gift certificate would not arrive which is the case with a couple of restaurants. I'm happy to say, yesterday the gift certificate arrived.
Most importantly, the food which was correct on our take out order was fantastic!
Jason P
I went to brunch at Daniel's Broiler on a Saturday. Bottomless mimosas (I tried orange and grapefruit), Oscar Style Benedict which contained a healthy portion of steak and hash browns on the side, and a tutorial on how to make Bloody Mary's. The food was great, and I really enjoyed the decor, as it was very modern and well decorated. Service was fantastic even though it was a full house. I'm definitely coming back again!
Davon Jones
Was here for a company dinner. Good food and excellent service. The low lighting did make it bit difficult to see if the steak was prepared to my liking, even with the flashlight the server had. Overall though had a great time. The biggest thing I appreciated was the timing of the food. No one person at our table was waiting for more than a minute as plates was being served. Definitely will be back.
Kyle McCausland
Overall opinion was it was a good meal that I enjoyed though no dish was a stand out for me other than the steaks. For me the bread had a slight stale taste, prawn cocktail was good and sauce had a nice amount of spicy kick, and ahi tuna was decent. Obvious standout for the meal was the steak which was seasoned well to complement but not over power the meat and cooked perfectly. I would agree with others though that this place is over priced.
pepperman425
Almost five stars. For the price I did expect a perfect steak (Bone in Ribeye), it was cooked the way I wanted it and they even had me cut into it to make sure it was to my liking. This particular piece of meat had too many tendons in it and was not on par with an $88 steak and potato meal. There is more to this than just my steak however, my wife's lobster tail was excellent and all of the side dishes were superb. Very rarely these days do you get such great service also, which means that they only ask you how everything is once or twice during your meal rather than every few minutes as if you were at Olive Garden or other such restaurants. Water and drink glasses were never empty, filled with minimal interference to our meal. I will most definitely go back, maybe to have the Filet Mignon next time. All in all it was nice to dress up and go out for an Anniversary dinner with my lovely wife.
Penny & Michael Tibbitts
Our Delmonico Steak and John our server were excellent. John was informative about food preparation and wine suggestions.
The restaurant itself is a bit worn out and needs an update. The view of Lake Union is always Wonderful...otherwise a 5 star experience.
Bill Paxson
Daniels Broiler is my go-to place for special occasions. The food and service are absolutely top notch. The filet mignon and crispy brussels sprouts are out of this world!
Yesenia Valencia
Don't tip the waiters.....
The tips go to management and not the waiter and that includes the 20% already included in the bill. But overall, the food was sooo delicious. Best steak I've ever had. Hands down best places for steak. If I can make one request to management.... add dessert wines. The sweetest you had was reisling but that wasn't sweet.
Ryan Hallam
Took my father here for his Birthday. We had great service, an amazing view. My father and I had the New York steak and it was absolutely fantastic!! It is pricey but worth it. What else could I say that has not already been said.
Derek Van De Wege
Still pricey for happy hour. 2 drinks and three small plates set us back $100 for my wife and me. Prawns on happy hour are amazing and worth it. I do like how they include the 20% service fee, however they still give the option to tip, which is a bit excessive.
Kathy Baker
We had delicious flank steak strips and and artichoke appitizers from the bar menu. The server recommended a violet martini to some in our party, which they enjoyed. For others, the iced tea, and happy hour wine selections were perfect. We sat outside in the nice weather. There was a heater above our table to make sure we were comfy. We watched the planes land and take off from Lake Union. A very enjoyable atmosphere for a quick get together with friends.
Megan Michaud
We had such a wonderful experience at the Daniel’s Broiler restaurant in Seattle. The service was kind, accommodating, and consistent. The food was cooked to perfection with vegan options for myself; as well as a marvelous variety of steak for my spouse. We will definitely be coming back to this establishment. Thank you for such a wonderful and unforgettable experience!
Andrew P
Group of around 10 of us for dinner. We had a selection of seafood and beef. Both were absolutely amazing. Everyone was commenting on how tender, tasty and perfectly cooked their food was. They also have a great selection of quality drinks including wine, where Australian wine also makes it to the list!
Paula E
Loved the appetizers and drinks, beautiful day to sit outside and sit. Great waitstaff too all were very friendly.
Sylvia Cunningham
We recently had a private party (Aug 30th) in their downstairs room to celebrate the life of a family member. We brought flowers to arrange and photograph exhibits and so required help from staff with set up. I can't say enough good about the staff who helped us with set up - they were so accommodating and helpful. The service, once the event started was excellent - people were greeted and given drinks right away. The food was excellent as well. Really just outstanding service for the whole event.
Trevor Do
Great steak! came with my company so we were seated in a different area, more private. we had a select menu different from the main menu. this menu only had salmon so I was disappointed that other Seafoods were not available. the staff was wonderful and helpful and the wine selection was adequate for a private group event.
Aida Magana
I loved this place! I’m not a fan of grilled steak but it was pretty good! We had the tuna, filet and the lamb! Would come back!
Kendra Harrison
Excellent customer service, great food and drinks! Awesome views and ambiance!
Deanell Sandoval
The ambiance, location and wine were great. We were disappointed with the service overall and the meal was mediocre. For nearly $350 we expected hot mashed potatoes and they tasted like they were pre-made out of a bag.
Bonnie Madison
The staff were great and attentive.😍
We enjoyed the food and drinks. WONDERFUL!
Even despite the cost it was a great experience so worth the cost.

Tasjaray Komotios-Newton
My first time at Daniels! It was my birthday last night and I had a great experience. We had a party of eight and had a great table by the windows. Stacy was our server and the service was excellent. She Really went out of her way to make me feel special. Really loved the bbq shrimp appetizer!
Michelle Anderson
Came here for girls night. Sat in the bar. The bartenders were super friendly and they actually had a decent happy hour menu. Live piano player was great and added to the lovely ambiance and beautiful views of lake union. The food was delish! Spicy barbecued shrimp, burger and fries and their chocolate coconut ice cream desert was amazing!
Scott
Food is worth the price you pay. I'd give them 5 stars but... Seattle location automatically adds 20% gratuity. Our server did nothing more than deliver our orders. Nothing stood out as 5 star Service. Steve, the manager, did stop by our table and introduced himself. That was a +
Ruthie Bee
We had a small intimate wedding at Daniel's South Lake Union location and had a marvelous time. The food was great, the atmosphere was beautiful and the service was above and beyond our expectations. My daughter and son-in-law did not want to wedding plan and gave us a week to pull together fun wedding. The event planner at Daniel's was wonderful and so helpful. We had food allergies among us and Daniel's Broiler was able to accommodate everyone's needs. The wait staff was unflappable and very helpful. Of course you can't pull off an event without a glitch and I had forgotten to plan music. The waiter pulled out his cell phone pulled up a play list that was perfect and plugged it in to the room's speakers. That is truly above and beyond. I could go on for a long time but I'll leave you with this, I would definitely go back to Daniel's and I would definitely recommend them for your event.
Brock Henderson
We booked reservations on July 4 at 9:45PM to be able to eat and watch the fireworks over Lake Union. When we arrived we were told that the restaurant was overbooked and they could not accommodate us at the time but we were able to watch the fireworks from outside on their waterfront dining area. We were very displeased and upset but we rolled with the punches and dealt with the situation. The manager on duty was very gracious and apologetic. She went as far as giving us a $100 gift card for the inconvenience. We weren’t sure we would be able to make it back as it was our last day. We made reservations for the 5th and decided to go back and give it another shot.
I’m so glad we did. We were graciously welcomed and thanked for deciding to return. We were sat right away and experienced excellent service. Molly was our server and she was so great. Everything we ordered was tasty and delicious. We finished the meal with dessert and coffee. We were not disappointed. At the end of the meal a male manager came over and thanked us for giving them
Another shot. He went as far as to comp our desserts, coffee and a couple other items on top of the $100 gift card we had received. Wow. Blown away and unexpected. I say all this to say they made a bad experience a GREAT one. Kudos to all of your staff and professional attitudes. If you are in the area then go there and you won’t be disappointed. There is a 20% service charge but it is worth every penny for the level of service you get here at Daniel’s Broiler at Lake Union!!!! 5 Stars
Lorenzo Padron
Went for a company dinner. This is the 2nd night at a Daniel's Broiler on this trip to Seattle. The first one was Bellevue and this one. It was pretty much the same experience and service. This time I actually had the wagu steak and it was excellent. There is never a bad mean at Daniel's
Serg
Steaks are really good here. Also very good brunch. Service is also at very high level!
Ehud R.
Good food, but pricey and bad service
Dan Knueve
I hope my initial two star rating didn't go through. I should be more careful when I'm doing reviews. I would give Daniel's Broiler five stars on several accounts. The food was great and the service was beyond anything I've ever experienced! The atmosphere was wonderful and comfortable, we sat and had a nice conversation and a wonderful time.
Missy Anne
The steak was amazing ❤️😍 They have the waterfront view and great sight of Bellevue❣️ It was super beautiful at night 🌃 & the boats all lined up right at the window 🚣♀️. The Service was marvelous, extremely attentive seem their training is based on customer service being #1, which is very impressive. Moved here from NYC which are strict on that rule, I’ve been many restaurants out here so far since but haven’t met too much attentive restaurants like this one. 👍👍👍 def coming back 💕
David Levy
Going to the different steakhouses in Seattle is fun. Going here was really fun. The service is amazing. The portions are big and the steaks are incredible. Porterhouse the strip appetizer the soups... everything was really well done and we will definitely be back. Thanks to the Shwartz brothers
Aleksandar Bujanic
Very nice place

Delicious Steaks and great service as always. Visited yesterday evening for my boyfriend's sister and his birthday celebration. The server had overheard his sister telling me about which bottle of wine they were considering getting for the table before we arrived; not usually much of a wine drinker but pleasantly surprised anyway when he came over with a sample.
Really, the only negative thing I can say about the Lake Union location would have to do with the parking lot which for non-valet customers is mostly gravel. The amount of rocks in our tires, clicking on the pavement with each rotation as we drove home.. 😾
Ann Benedict
We had appetizers and wine and had to rush off to catch the Christmas ship cruise but they were very accommodating. Very nice venue on the water. We will come back when we have more time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Kole Allen
Exceptional service! Friendly and professional employees, valet was quick and courteous. The food is beyond great, steak cooked to perfection and their garlic mashed potatoes are heaven on a plate. Worth the money and the drive, will be dining there again!
Nicholas Walker
Phenomenal good, and exemplary staff. I intend to come here anytime I am in Seattle overnight. Dylan is the man!
PS. They do an auto gratuity of 20% that solely goes to the house, not the staff. Take care of the employees accordingly.
Jordan Hunter
Arguably the best steak in Seattle. Great cocktails as well. All of the staff are industry vets. Some plates reach triple digits in cost, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend the fillet mignon sampler if you can't decide! Great views and atmosphere.
Deb Wear
My husband took me here for a date as we were traveling through to Canada... It was in such a great place, the restaurant is situated so nicely off the pier, beautiful views, I would asked to be seated by a window, so you can see a beautiful city view, along with the very cozy and private sections, they have a wonderful fireplace at most tables. The wait staff were impeccable, very prompt, and friendly, the food they did deliver, was something! I will never forever that is for sure. I have the 5lb lobster tail along with broccoli Rob butter warmed by a small candle . My husband had a bone in prime rib with mashed potato he has been there before and loves coming here and he's never been disappointed this is why he took me. A few of my favorite parts were the views, fireplace, my drink, and my shrimp appetizers with 3 different sauces to dip them in, that was pure Bliss... If you are hesitant to go or are aware of the prices, I will would save up a little or just go because you will get the best food you will get in your life! I was there 3 years ago and now I'm going back again from Colorado just so I can eat there. That's how unforgettable this place will be for you s it was for me.
BetiE KrokkeR
4.7 to 4.8. Chef came out w/staff . They all had flash lights to light up steak(rib eye) that night ,just to make sure it was to quality of my lady's liking. And both of our dishes were fabulous!
Sally Beem
Very nice night out. Every one there made you feel special and important. The food was as good as you can get very top not h. Lobster tails are huge and so are the cuts of steak. Loved it all. A little spendy but the food, service, and ambiance makes it worth it
Aimée Jordan
Beautiful bar right on south Lake Union. Service was fast and elegant but the portions were tiny considering the steep, steep prices. If you aren't hungry and just want to experience a beautiful bar/restaurant then by all means I highly recommend.
Papie G
Delicious meal while visiting Seattle on vacation! Our server, George took really good care of us! Enjoyed Lobster Bisque & Filet Mignon with Baked Potatoe! Wife had hers with Garlic Mashed Potatoes!

Daniel’s is always a good time and the food is fantastic.
randy richardson
They catered a work party and it was great. Really good service. Filet mignon was cooked great and really tender but did not have much flavor.
Michele Grice
Amazing food, service and beautiful view of lake union and marina
Roman Slivka
very nic location next to marina and lake, wonderful to be there at sunset. the serbice and offering at excellent level which is reflected at price
Elizabeth Ronie
This is a very expensive place, just to make that clear if you wonder. Food was good. Husband got wagyu steak and I got salmon. Kitchen was behind, waiter only refilled glasses once without being asked. We were there for 2 hours.
Go for the food and the excellent lake view. Expect to spend some time and some money. Whether or not it's worth it will depend on your individual experience.
Robert Oliver
Great view from some tables. The clam chowder was excellent with lots of clam. Overall, though, overpriced. A simple example is the door handles on the front doors. Chipped and worn.

Great view of Lake Union, dark-set interior with excellent staff. Our party of 3 had the steak bits with Ahi Tuna (happy hour food). I usually don't like fish food but I they prepare it well and I think we had a good tuna - so it tasted like steak meat to me.
I personally had the Floradora, a mixed drink of gin and ginger ale. Tasted very good, and the alcohol was almost unnoticeable when drinking - so be careful with this drink.
If you're looking for a "fancy dinner" of sorts I believe this will do a good job. It can be expensive and a little intimidating (I felt underdressed in my jeans and shirt) but the staff is very nice. We were able to get a seat easily without waiting around 5 on a Friday, perhaps we got lucky though. I imagine this place gets pretty busy as there is a lot of places to sit inside.
They were out of a drink or two, so sometimes you won't be able to order anything you want. However I don't think a stock issue can constitute a lower rating. After all, next time I'm nearby I will go again.

The appetizers were for the part great. We had beet salad, fried artichokes hearts, french onion soup and oysters. The oysters were good but very small. The bread was superb with salted butter. The French onion soup was awesome for the first couple bites but as we went deeper it was a bit rich. Still worth a try. The domaine drouhin pinot noir wine was great. Then the steaks came out. The New York cooked medium was ok. The ribeye was very rich and had good flavor but was a little too rich for me after eating all the rest and the big dinner so far. I usually have the New York so this is probably partly due to my taste but I did want to try something different that night. Both were a bit salty. All in all we rated it about middle of the road.

Everything a top tier restaurant experience should be.
Shelley Sutton
Excellent service & food. Beautiful dining environment. Friendly and attentive staff.
Ray Ray
Always a pleasure eating here. Been coming here for years!!! The oysters Rockefeller is the best!! The Lobster and mashed potatoes are amazing!!! Everything we have ever ordered has always been great. Never any complaints. The staff go above and beyond!!!
Josh B
Delicious bone-in-rib eye, extremely juicy. One of the better steaks I have tried
Christy Minteer
Fantastic service, delicious food. Started with deep fried artichoke hearts. Coconut was the theme for the night. Had the coconut crusted halibut with rice and curry roasted carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. Hubby had the fillet with fantastic peppercorn burgandy sauce over garlic mashed potatoes. Dessert was toasted coconut covered hot fudge Sunday. 20% service fee is built in before tax, but the waiter said that he worked there 20 years and gets 401k, dental, vision, medical so we are happy to support fair wages and benefits.
Justine Tranholt
This was our once in a while fancy over the top date. We had a reservation and we were treated very well. The waiter was informative and polite answered all of our questions. Treated us like family. Food was amazing. Great place to go. Like I said one of our once in a while fancy date locations!!
Hava F
Excellent service and atmosphere, but extremely sub par steak. The salmon was delicious but not sure it's worth the price...
antonio quinonez
Went on a date with my wife. Ordered two steaks (different cuts). The meat came back charred on the outside. The service was pretty lame. I expect smart, professional waiters at a fancy joint like Daniel's and didn't get it. The waiter was very casual. An underwhelming experience. Would not go to Daniel's again.
Edwin Genung
A great restaurant but the parking is a con job. If you choose to park yourself in lieu of valet beware. The virtually empty lot facing the restaurant is run by a scam/hustle outfit. Inadiquat lighting and a hidden kiosk.
No payment box. Payment through app and
You better sit with your car till payment posts, a total scam. Also, the appeal process for the 40$ fine is dis-honest as well.
C Gman
Truly, world class. They treated us like gold, even though we shared our steak(some places judge you). Management stopped by and shared info. Wait staff was amiable and not pretentious. Was a bit surprised that valet was smoking visibly and swearing audibly- not personally offended by it, but this is Seattle.
Jared Allard
Hands down one of the greatest places in Seattle for a steak, for any other dishes -- not so much. Got a Smoked Salmon that was overcooked and dry, sadly not enjoyable and not worth the price of over $60. Still, will always come back for the delicious steak, just won't partake in the other items.
On a side note, their cheesecake is really good as well.
Stephen John
I love Daniel's. I've eaten there on many occasions and always enjoyed it. It's expensive but y'all know that going yet. The service is great and the ambience is wonderful. I like the lake Union location best because of the wonderful sunsets in the view of the water.
Cheryl Hoyt
Used valet parking. Attendant was friendly and professional. We entered the bar and I was steered into back room for ten person surprise bday party. The server Savannah was fantastic keeping both water glasses and drinks full. The table was kept supplied in excellent appetizers. This is my favorite restaurant and again they reminded me why. Filet mignon teriyaki strips, Cajun prawns and popcorn shrimp are my favorite.
Samuel Kim
Hmm where to start. Well, for starters we were seated where it seemed like the air conditioning unit blew chilly air towards our table, good thing I brought my jacket with me or it would have been even more uncomfortable.
Our table had a deep crack from my end to to the other, not to mention quite a bit of salt grains here and there mostly on my side of the table.
And there is the underwhelming service experience where our server was less than professional, for some odd reason she didn't seem to acknowledge me too much as a guest compared to my companion diner. We also got the short shift as she seemed more focused on working the 6-7 person table near us. She didn't even bother to thank us when presenting the check, you would think that a restaurant of this caliber the service would be top notch. Our check came out to approx $230.00, guess we didn't spend enough.
Lastly the food. I had their Ahi tuna special and it wasn't all that special, rather mushy and didn't seem too fresh in my judgment although the seasoning/sauce was pretty good. My fellow diner said the steak was decent but not great compared to Canlis, Brooklyn, El Gaucho etc. My salad was so-so and the dessert was the best part of the meal, go figure.
This was my first time at DB and most likely will not go there again, why would you when there are so many great options available?
David Oziel
Enjoyed a delicious steak dinner at Daniels on Lake Union! Excellent, attentive service by a charming server, Jordan. Lovely way to celebrate a birthday!
Staci Black
Had a wonderful dinner. Very courteous and helpful staff. Was surprised to find a full entree vegan or pescetarian options menu available. My roasted chicken was amazing along with the Giant asparagus served with hollandaise sauce on side.
Brad Benz
Old skool steakhouse vibes at their finest. It's a bit spendy even for just appetizers, but good nonetheless. A good choice of someone else is paying. I've spent less on better.
Nicole Solano
Delicious and great for special occasions. They add a 20% gratuity to the bill and indicates this is for their employees benefits. The bill doesn't have a place for a tip so if you want to tip on top of the gratuity you would need to bring cash.
Suzie
I still very much enjoy Daniel's Broiler even during the pandemic as they have a nice little outdoor setup with heating. The popcorn shrimp alone is worth the visit 😂. Every time I go to Daniel's Broiler, I enjoy myself fully and the food is always on point and delicious. I also love their desserts and cappuccinos. …
Thurston Dangernose
Went here for our anniversary. Sort of on a lark just to try something new within an easy distance from the hotel. Was definitely one of the best steak places I have ever been to. Great ambiance and an excellent selection of scotch. A great place for a classy date.
GLCTraveler
HH was very nice, but hardly the "Best in Seattle"!!! Dinner was good, but not worth the premium you have to pay for the meal....💲💸💰 I've cooked Costco Prime Ribeyes🥩 at home on my Weber that were better than my wife's steak she had last Saturday, especially when it was $60+!!! Just hard to compare.... 😎
We'll go back for HH, but skip dinner!!!
Visceral Reaction
For the cost I expected higher quality. Don't get me wrong it was very good. But things like the topping on the creme brulee. It should be a sugar crust. Instead it hadn't been torched long enough and the sugar was still grainy. Not a huge thing, but for the cost I expect more
Michael Vernon
It's Daniel's Broiler. It's not McDonald's. The name speaks for itself: wonderful views, another time's atmosphere, the rich wood that speaks of importance. Okay, so it's a *bit* pretentious but the staff go out of their way to make you feel special. Even when you wear jeans and the company-logo'd zip-up.
Give it a shot. Even once. It's some of the very best in food, drink, and service that the Northwest has to offer.
Amber Bevacqua
This place is very high end but the food is yummy. We ended up spending over $400 for the 2 of us but we did order some spendy items. I got the filet flight but had to ask someone which meat was which. My husband got the steak and lobster and his steak had an amazing flavor, there was some smoke and spices, it tasted better than my flight.
The crab bisque is smazing... big chunks of crab with an amazing bisque. They brought us a complimentary dessert as we were celebrating our anniversary and although we were stuffed we ate it all.
If you want to impress your other half then this is the place!
Kyle Monteiro
We were here the other night and it was fantastic! Definitely go for the King grilled Salmon! Then for dessert the Deep dish chocolate cookie. 10/10 definitely will be returning.
Robert Holsberry
The ambiance is what you would expect at a high end steak house; the Happy Hour selections of both drinks & food is limited but acceptable; our service was friendly but not very knowledgeable about food service norms. Will likely go back but won't go out of my way to do so.
Kenneth Sikora
The location, the ambiance, the live piano music... It's a pretty seriously swanky place.
For a place whose menu has some entrees priced in the triple-digits, it's surprisingly affordable to enjoy a few snacks at the bar, such as teriyaki and sesame seed filet strips, and bacon-wrapped scallops.
Don't let the dinner menu pricing scare you off of their bar menu.
Michael Newton
Quality food and location! Make sure to bring a wallet stuffed with cash since they charge a premium for that quality.
Lee Stringfield
The resident piano player made this a dinner experience worth remembering. Very special evening for my wife and I. We will be returning for the explicit purpose to see him play again. You can eat ON the piano as the plays. Very intimate experience. The popcorn shrimp is addictive.
Clayton Loges
Excellent service, well presented dishes. Struck us as the menu being a bit pricey
Michael Sasenick
I have now eaten at all the Daniel's and, though they are all excellent, this one was definitely nor as good as the other two. This could be dye to COVID and the quality of our beef these days.
Duane Johnson
Every year, for the past for years, I take my daughter to Daniels for her birthday. She absolutely love their Prime Ribs. This year, when we arrived, I suffered back spasms. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. One, whose name I could not get even helped me to my car.
They made what could have been a disaster of a night a pleasant night.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Brad Walton
The steak was excellent.. everything was pricey but was good.. take a look at the menu prices that I posted..
Charlie bramlett
Got there early and had reservations but still sat 15 minutes late.. Thanks goodness our server Richard was awesome
Robin Ratkie
Company dinner party. Service and food was excellent. No waiting for next course. Drinks were offered promptly. Dessert presentation was superior. I want to go back for dinner with....okay, who wants to go with me to dinner at Daniels?
Jannabeth Bannister
Had the Dungeness Crab Benedict, it was tasty, but the fries were bland.
k pannell
Daniel's Broiler is always amazing when we go. This time I went as a vegan, my diet lifestyle has changed. I was pleased to find a robust vegan menu at a Steak & Seafood restaurant. The vegan dishes were satisfying, tasty and wonderfully priced. Thanks for a memorable evening! Keep up the great work☆☆☆☆
Crys Slade
Location is beautiful, staff is nice, food is good but a little overpriced for the quality. We enjoyed ourselves but made a mistake opting in for the wagyu. We've had it before at other restaurants and this was probably my least favorite time. I got the meat flown in from Japan. It definitely did not taste like a $140 piece of meat. My husband ordered a sampling plate that had three pieces of meat, two American cuts and one a wagyu/American mix. While they tasted different one was not clearly better or more juicy. That has not been my previous experience, usually the wagyu is glaringly obvious because it's flavor and texture is so superior. We spent an endless time debating what had gone wrong with the meat. My husband thinks it is the technique they use of smoking it is a bit with the mesquite wood, I just think maybe their wagyu supplier isn't the best. In the end while we enjoyed ourselves but just didn't feel like we'd eaten $300s worth of meat. The caprese salad was devine, probably the best thing we ate. I'd still be willing to eat here, I'd just stick to your cheaper options so you aren't disappointed.
enohor akpobome
Daniels is an exceptional broiler with delicious steak which is the best I and my fiancé has ever tasted. Friendly and well mannered staff. Beautiful view that made me not to think of going home. Keep up the good work!!!
Nathan Tyler
Valentines success , good food good environment!
Reivyn Apigo
While the dinner menu is a bit out of budget, Daniel's Broiler offers a great happy hour menu. Outdoor seating comes with a great view and a roof over your head (you won't burn in the sun). Don't forget to order the deep dish cookie. It's divine.

What can I say, a professional steak house. Great service. Great steaks. Beautiful location on South lake Union. Wine choices are wonderful. Spendy but worth it. Unlike some other local steak houses where the price does not match the quality and service.
Abdullah Alkhowaiter
It is the best steak house , with nice lake union view
Ian Follett
My wife and I went here for lunch the other day and the food was good but the experience overall was subpar.
This wasn't what bothered me but its relevant to the rest of the story. When I asked what beers they had on tap the waitress listed the brand and type of each beer they had except for a beer from Lagunitas. She didn't know what kind it was, only that it was from Lagunitas. I like Lagunitas but I don't like all varieties of beer so she'd if she could check. I was already starting to feel like I was being persnickety but I was glad I asked because it was a pilsner. I wouldn't kick a pilsner out of bed but it wasn't what I wanted so I went with the Mac and Jack's.
We ordered appetizers and they came but not the beer. So I asked about it and the waitress said it was on it's way. At that point I'm feeling like I'm kind of being one of those customers and you know, maybe I was but I also enough time had passed that I suspected she'd forgotten about the drinks.
Any way, the drinks came a few minutes later and my mild irritation subsided and we ordered our steaks. My wife ordered hers medium and I ordered mine medium rare and we commenced eating our appetizers and drinking our drinks.
The beer didn't taste quite like Mac and Jack's but it was good so I didn't think much of it. Then the waitress brought out our steaks. They looked great and she actually asked us to cut into them to be sure they were cooked as we liked. I cut into mine and it looked over done. This where my heartache started. Whoever cooked my steak is an expert steak cooker. Who am I to question their work? It sounds dumb but kind of pride myself on being an easy customer and on trusting the professionals. I make an effort not to be the kind of person who comes into the doctor's office referencing WebMD. So I let it go. This is where my personal shortcomings really start to come into play because it just keeps eating at me. As I cut into different parts of the steak it becomes more and more clear that it's overcooked and I start to regret not sending it back. Finally my wife gets tired of my indecisiveness and calls the waitress over and a sheepishly ask her if the steak seems a little overdone for medium rare. She doesn't question it at all and says she'll bring me a new one. The new one comes and it's cooked perfectly. I'm a little flustered from the mental trials and tribulations of sending a high end steak back but the food is great otherwise.
Any how, the bill comes and there's a Lagunitas beer on it. Not don't get me wrong. Lagunitas i makes great beer but it wasn't what I ordered. That's when I started to get a little suspicious. Here's what I think happened: the waitress remembered me asking about Lagunitas but forgot I opted for a Mac and Jack's. I think she also forgot my wife ordered her steak medium but I ordered mine medium rare. This is not a big deal except that I felt awful sending my steak back. In part this is a personal failing but if she had just admitted that she'd mixed up the orders I would have felt much more comfortable with my decision. Really this is a minor complaint. The food and beer was great. I just feel like for the kind of money you spend there if kind of like the service to be a little more professional. Mistakes happen. But, I dunno. Just open up to them.
Well, you made the mistake of reading this review to the end so let me apologize for wasting your time.
Jim King
Wow, what a good steak! If you want a good steak experience this is it. Wait staff and chefs treated my friends and I in the same manner that I saw tux wearing guests receive even though we arrived spur of the moment in jeans and tee shirts.
Julianna Gitchell
Food was good, if a little overpriced, and staff was all friendly. However, while they asked us how we wanted our meat cooked they never asked us about the items on the children's menu. Appallingly, they automatically serve the CHILDREN'S fillet bites "medium rare" and my FOUR year old daughter was served meat that was barely even cooked to rare. My medium was nearly well done and hers was almost raw. They fixed it, but didn't seem to understand why I found it unacceptable.
In addition, while the restaurant was crawling with staff redundancy, they were constantly in the weeds. Two people in rapid succession would come by to refill waters when we still had half a glass, but no one in sight when we were down to ice.
Laura White
Delicious food! Great Service. Everyone was very nice and professional. Especially Molly!
Sarabjot Singh
I only like the mocktails. I'm a vegetarian FYI
The service is good, but not great, the speed is slow.
Scott Atherton
It's expensive, but the food is great. Staff was fantastic.
Gregory Burnett
Top 5 most amazing steaks of my lifetime. I say top 5 as there MUST be some others that were this amazing but I simply can't recall which as I'm so stuck on how incredible this experience was. Location is perfect, service is impeccable, food is unreal.
Mark Lassman
I've been coming here for years and took my girlfriend out for her birthday today. (Her first time) and the service and food quality not as good as before. All the younger staff were rude and not professional. When I pay that much for a dining experience I expect alot better. I wont be back.
Tami Moore
Superb customer service by all here! Our waiter Richard was such a delight, we really enjoyed our experience here. The food is amazing and pretty views. Even the valet impressed us!
Stephen Huang
Get a seat at the terrace, you can enjoy the great view of Lake Union with a wide range of options in the menu - yea, I just had beer and chips which weren't expensive. The steak they offered looked very nice too.
Bryce Matthews
You pay a lot, but everything tastes great. Really good steaks and sides. Strong drinks and coffee. Great desserts. We always leave with a good "food high." Good value.
Michael Milirud
Overpriced for what you get. 4 star location, 4 star service, 3 star prices for 3.8 star food. You can get much more for your benjies at other high end restaurants with better ambience and same level service. I can pay, but I don't like being stolen from in daylight.
Daniel H.
Great happy hour! The fillet mignon skewers are delightful. Obviously it is going to be a little pricey, but it is an enjoyable spot. Not worth seeking out, but if you are the neighborhood go for it.
Mike Sirkis
A great occasional meal, with the Sunday lunch service elegant and the meal nicely timed. We enjoyed both the Wagyu beef and the lobster. Service was attentive but not intrusive.
David Berg
Great service but some odd things happened that required more assistance than I would have liked. Our water glasses had some kind of oil in them, and one of the burgers had a burnt bun. Staff was very nice about it but seems like kitchen was running not so smoothly
Brent Mitton
The service was a 5 however the food was good but not great that's why the 4. The one draw back to Daniel's is the prices are to high for what you are given. I truly enjoyed our visit but I can have just as good a time and pay half the price at another restaurant.
David M White
Excellent dinner, service was great! Enjoyed it and will be back again
Russell Gollen
My girlfriend and I rarely treat ourselves to a nice date, so we decided it was finally time and chose Daniel's Broiler.
It was hands down the BEST dining experience we've ever had, period. From the Valet, to being presented the different cuts of meat, to our amazing waiter and all the staff. I give you guys serious kudos, keep up your good work.
We will definitely be back for another date.
Rebecca Boesen
This place is our all time favorite restaurant to enjoy a fantastic steak cooked to perfection. My husband and I always choose this place to have a nice dinner and enjoy each other’s company. We went to Daniels Broiler for our last dinner before my husband deployed and the service and accommodations the server and manager provided was so heartwarming. Needless to say, that will be the first place we have dinner when he comes home. Thank you Daniels Broiler for supporting our troops!
Michael Klozar
Amazing view from the outside deck, delicious unique popcorn shrimp and Ahi Tuna appetizers, nice wine selection, fantastic Martini and Manhatten, and of course, excellent steak. Watching the seaplanes swoop just overhead to land on Lake Union is priceless.
David Loveday
Food was great, as expected. But the lunch staff was slow, inattentive, and less than pleasant. I really expected much more from the staff. And the back deck was closed (on a perfect sunny day), despite being advertised as a great feature for lunch.
Nick Low
Went there in Nov last year. Its a nice place for lunch by the lakeside. Foods are well prepared and served. Had a soup and scallop entree and they were both good. Price is reasonable for lunch.
Zak Kennedy
Great steak. Definitely better than outback. I'm not from Seattle so the prices seemed a bit steep for me but the rest of the group didn't seem to think anything of it. I'd definitely come back for a date night or dinner meeting but not a casual meal.
Jeff Boyles
This is a expensive restaurant which now charges $8 for valet or parking in a very close lot is $18 for 2 hours. 5 for location, interior and service. 1 for parking and 3 for food. A $60 entree NY 12oz steak should not need salt to pop . Nor should the bake potato be less than perfect or the $75 huge Alaska King Crab be not as sweet as it should be. The first bottle of wine special Malbec from Argentina for $48 was undrinkable- sent back no problem. Very expensive Sangiovase was great but... . Been there 3 times over the years first 2 at Christmas time and would despite a hiccup on our last stop give 5 stars. At the price point I will not risk going back. Sad.
Marta Sánchez Calvo
I really loved this place. The treatment was on top of the line and the food was amazingly done and super tasty. I can't wait until someone has a birthday again!
Nicole Baade
This is my favorite restaurant in Seattle. It's a little pricey, so it's a "special occasion" dinner for me, but their happy hour is unbeatable, and I'm there about once a week! With top-notch service, a beautiful location, and the best food around, you really can't go wrong. AND they feature Nebraska beef, which is always a plus!
Brad Jones
When the GM Steve stopped at the table to introduce himself, I felt this place was gonig to hit the mark. That being said, we have never met any GMs at other establishments. The food was excellent. For what its worth, I was told they were out of prime rib (my goto fav) only 90 minutes after opening, meant we will definitely be back. Be sure to leave room for desesrt. So a big shout out to Steve, Jordan and the crew for making my wife's birthday celebration special.
Kathy Snyder
Great food, pricey...but a real treat for a date (we've been married over 50 years, but still "date"). Automatic 20% tip, so no worry about what to give. Valet parking in the evening. #vegetarianfriendly #datenight #healthy
Bunny Jamison
Very loud in the restaurant. Server couldn't hear well and got my order wrong and I got a medium well steak instead of medium rare. Was disappointed. Gave me a free dessert to make up for the error. Service was excellent otherwise.
Jeff Sherman
Delicious food and great service. A bit pricey but it's my favorite steak in all of Seattle. Cool atmosphere too, great for a date night or going out with friends.
Leo Lam, Ph.D.
Another Seattle icon by the Schwartz Brothers (the other being Chandler's Crabhouse). Food is well prepared and service is almost always good. It makes for an exciting evening with the Dueling Piano guys there. Do make it clear to the hostess when you make a reservation if you would prefer a quieter table.
Local tips: You do NOT need to do their valet parking. There are city parking (free after 6pm) immediately to the North of Daniel's entrance.
I have no issue with the 20% service charge, I support it and want to make sure that the servers are well compensated.
Sherry Li
Online reviews say this is more casual than other steakhouses in the city and I guess I can see that, but even so, this place is a hot spot for after work professionals and uppity to dos. Daniel's Broiler definitely has the makings of an upscale steak restaurant, especially with $6 valet (which I find out at the end of the meal can be validated, phew) and $40+ prices. Be prepared to spend at least $50 a person with alcohol, taxes, and tip.
The beautiful views of the lakefront will distract you from the prices, hopefully. But the steaks are legit. Healthy portions and cooked to the proper temperature. You get your choice of mashed potatoes, baked potato (which was very good), broccolini or sliced tomatoes. And if you split your entree, you both get sides and your steaks will be brought out cut in half.
Unless you can eat a lot of meat in one sitting, myself not included, some of the bigger cuts like boneless ribeye is perfectly enough for two people. You can get an appetizer or salad, which will be a nice complement to the meal.
Wines were hit or miss. I'm not familiar with Washington wines but the ones by glass had the same hit/miss rate as California wines in Bay Area restaurants. Sommelier was kind of a douchebag so I would stay away from his recommendations.
All in all, a solid meal if you like meat or seafood. Great place for a special occasion (make sure you ask for a window seat).
Paige Abu-Nawwas
Savannah was our waitress. I cant say enough of the service from helping to select the best bottle of wine, great dinners, loved visiting with her. Everything was A#1. We will return. Thank you Savannah.
David Schanen (musicscene)
Great steaks, seafood, excellent service. Everything you would expect from The legendary steakhouse. Outdoor seating, great views, reserve early!
Allen Reed
1st time here. Food and service is awesome. I can't believe we waited this long to eat here. This is a new favorite. Valet parking is available. The guy who worked the lot was horrible. That is another story.
Eric Young
All prime cuts and superior service. The GM stopped at the table to welcome us and thank us for dining with them.
Andi Anderson
We went for an early dinner, and enjoyed the Ahi Tuna and Salmon. Food was delicious! The setting was wonderful, drinks were just right!
Grace Sullivan
If you are going to eat meat it's the place to do it.
Jim Vahrenwald
I think they are doing as much as possible to service customers during the pandemic. Having said that, our ecperience was 1 star less than our "normal" great experience.
Nici Bissonnette
This place is old school booshie Seattle & the prices match the wealth potential of the city. But you certainly get what you pay for, the most decadent dishes an 🇺🇸🥩🏠 can offer!
The clientele is older (richer) & the layout reflects a formal vibe. So you better arrive on fleek if you find yourself with a gift card to this establishment🙋♀️ However, there’s no escaping the massive big-screens streaming whatever sports nonsense of the season that have infested the seattle bar scene ever since the local sports ball team started performing well. Once tucked away in the ding room, there are enjoyable views of Lake Union.
It goes without saying, the 🥩 is mind blowing & it comes with a respectable drizzle of butter sauce - INTO IT. Additionally, the lobster mashed potatoes can be added as a side to any steak (for a small up-charge). Me & my date split the prime rib, the steak tartare, fillet mignonette bites, & Brussels sprouts. Everything was remarkable. All if that plus two high balls came out just over $200 (they explicitly state that they pay their staff a livable wage, so if you are paying with a card, there is no tip line. If you still want to tip, come armed with 💵)
If you got some 💵 or gift cards to 🔥or just really want to impress a date or really make someone pay for their “sorry”, get yourself all gussied up & head to Daniel’s for some 🥩 💦 you won’t regret!

Great atmosphere, service, nice staff phenomenal food menu, the bacon wrapped scallops,, & lamb chops were delicious.
Jesse Howard
Dinner was overall pretty good. Server was good. We had an espresso after dinner and it tasted like drip coffee in a mini mug.
Diane Jones
We had appetizers. They were delicious, shrimp, scallops, brussel sprouts, wedge salad, cup of clam chowder. Top off by shared ice cream.
John Dye
Great food and location. Excellent assortment of liquor. View of the lake. Pricey but good option for a special event.
Dee Dee Tinkham
Good food. Great water views. Overpriced though. Might return for a night out. Stopped only because I kept seeing it each time I go to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and decided it was to stop and see if it would live up to its reputation. Sadly it didn't. Decent but not OMG good!
Laurie Kealing
What a pleasant surprise - walked over from our hotel for a bite to eat. Ordered from the bar menu - cheeseburger to die for and hubby had a salmon sandwich . They both were delicious- substituted fries with a kale salad 👍👍👌
The view off the porch was beautiful . Wish you had a location in FL near us. …

In my top 3 favorite restarants
Steve Colburn
Great destination for a special occasion. Absolutely delicious steaks, so is everything else on the menu.
Rihana Martinson
Excellent service, and the Jidori Chicken was tender and delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes were some of the best I've had. Wonderful, relaxing ambience.
Mike Dean
Great view. Good appetizers. Not easy to get a drink your preferred way. They have "their way" of making popular drinks. Be sure to confirm what it is you will receive.
Winston C.
The best Daniel's Broiler in Washington state under the leadership and management of Stephen Nogler, the General Manager of this restaurant.
Great culture, staff, diamond standards and better food than the other Broilers around Seattle and Eastside
Highly recommend this as one as I've had my high school, University and engagement dinners here with family and friends over the last twelve years.
Thank you!
Dawn B
Their HH is top notch! Spend the extra $1 and get valet rather than self parking. The filet mignon bites, ahi tuna and Louisiana shrimp are well worth it. Skip the Caeser salad...at $11, it is about the 1/4 of the size it should be but other than that it was a fantastic to meet friends out for a glorious sunset over Lake Union.
Matthew Love
I really prefer not to leave less than Stellar reviews but honestly, when happy hour sliders are so far worse than what you'd expect at Cheesecake Factory or Applebee's that's a sad day for Daniel's. My friend and I wanted to enjoy the view on a summer evening which we did. They've implemented a 20% auto-gratuity, so don't expect stellar service when just going for drinks and appetizers.

Amazing steak and appetizers. Everything about it was amazing. Staff was attentive without being annoying. Atmosphere was pleasant and we had a view of the water. Will go back again.

We dined at the Lake Union location and our server Minh, made the whole experience incredible! He provided amazing service and the food was phenomenal! We will absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!

Great place for a good meal and great staff! I went there today and had the 12oz New York steak and it was mouthwatering! Garlic mashed potatoes were top notch! Definitely going again!

Wonderful location of a Seattle classic! Great dinner with a friend visiting from out of town. UPDATE: Fortunately I heard from the ownership of Daniel's Broiler that they are not leaving this location any time soon. Fantastic news!

A great space for an event or party. Their scallops and tuna are great.

Food was good, but pricey. Drinks were good, but expect to pull out your wallet and go home scratching your head, like what did I just spend $200 on lol 😆😅 …
Paul Rachina
Went in for Sunday brunch. Nice view but the food was aweful and they tack on 20% tip. I don't mind tipping but I should have the choice to choose. Service was good and I would've probably tipped the 20% anyway.

Dinner was great, nice place for big groups, good wine selection, I recommend it...
Josh Miller
One of my favorite places in Seattle.
Kenny Nunez
I ordered the porterhouse steak, it was beyond amazing. Incredible flavor and cooked just like I asked. Good place for a special occasion and to enjoy steak, whiskey, and wine.
Henry Amaya
Great place for cocktails and steak and next to Lake union for awesome sunsets and sightseeing. Parking can be challenging
Shaun Blasi
Went here with chosen family after seeing the theater, beyond delicious, worth every penny spent, but be prepared for a top class experience

Great staff, although I had to ask a couple of times for my drink. Food was good, although I have had just as good if not better at lower cost. View was amazing though!
Daniel Linas
Gerald, the manager absolutely made our night. He was not our server, but has an extensive knowledge of spirits and Whiskey and started us off right. Go in and trust his judgement for your first selection. Amazing job, thank you again for everything. Semper fi.
Greg Gardner
Too expensive, taste not great for each of the 4 guest in my group, waiter was slow or forgetful.

Pros: Good food, Good service, GREAT setting.
Cons: Overpriced, Forced Valet Parking, Mandatory 20% service charge.
Great date or special occasion spot, but probably won't ever be an everyday staple.
Neo Xplores
Had the spicy bbq prawns and the fillet, both were excellent! Wine recommendations could do with some work. Service was great overall.
Paul Rafter
Great location and excellent food and service . Be prepared for a good sized check at the end of your meal though. But as long as you know that before you go there , there's not too much to complain about.
Chad Henry
Consistently excellent service and food. Great views of Lake union!

Great view and food. Bring good company and you've got it made.
Cintia Tavella
Love their Ribeyes more than anything. They also have a great kids menu and fantastic view outdoor of Lake Union
Jason S
Wicked happy hour, the burger was stellar and service was spectacular. Excellent venue to hit before the Key Arena concert. Valet at Daniels, pay them and get your keys back. Uber up to Key Arena, Uber back after the show for a night cap and snack.
Ethan Gross
They no longer have a vegan menu, but they do have an off-menu Beyond Burger which is better than nothing! Bun for the burger is vegan as well.
Gavin H
Best scallop appetizer I have ever had. Grass fed filet was incredible. Drinks, perfect. Buyer beware, very expensive.
Marcus Suniga
The steaks.. my God the steaks, are amazing along with their wine selection, and drink list in general. A true Seattle steakhouse experience, that has to be done at least once, if you can afford it (or get work to pay for it).
Christian S
What is not to like about the atmosphere at Daniel’s Broiler. The view was great and the food was amazing.
Chrieona Willbanks
The food was okay. I gave it 4 stars because of John and his wonderful service. They're lucky to have someone like him working there.
Sarah Danzl
Fish was amazing and the views are spectacular. Great staff too!
Joe Zemel
Great steaks. Excellent service. Attentive servers. Downside was a 20% service charge is included on all checks and valet parking seemed to be required, which cost $8.
Jennifer Cordes
My husband & I had an amazing dinner! Our steaks were perfect and the service outstanding! Can't wait to return!
Robert Hubbard
I've eaten a lot of great steaks, but this filet was on a whole new level. Phenomenal taste and could not have been cooked more perfectly. I'll revisit next time I pass through Seattle.
Chip Barron
Swank, polished, rock-solid dockside Seattle institution. Piano bar is great if you don't mind an older fake tanned hairsprayed blazer wearing crowd, food is top notch, service is good if a touch pretentious (I may have deserved it, not being in a collared shirt!).
