Reviews of Mississippi Pizza

Pizza! Love it. So glad we stopped in, friendly staff, fast service. Very cool little spot. We weren't super hungry, so we just grabbed what they already had made. But some of the specialty pies sound amazing. Very reasonably priced. If ever in Oregon we will stop again.

I chose this place because they had reviews regarding gluten free pizza being safe for those with allergies. They are very aware of gluten allergies and take precautions from seperate ovens to bringing in sealed crusts from Portland gluten free bakery. The only sign visible when we drove by the first time was Mississippi Pub. This is the same building. They have multiple outdoor eating spots (you see a row of wood slats from the road, which is the back of the seating slots) with ambiance, propane fires on the table. I'm not sure how warm they would keep you though. Today was drizzly and chilly, so we ate in the lounge. The pizza was out in less than ten minutes. They do have beer and wine choices behind a chilled glass case as well as four or five choices on tap...one of which is a malty apple cider. Unfortunately all the cider in the case is canned...which makes for a tinny flavor so I just had water. The gluten free pizza had the perfect topping ratio. The carmalized onions were excellent...not soggy at all. The ricotta must be local or in-house. It was fluffy, with a lightly salty, cheese tang a good ricotta has...no sour store-bought bitterness here. The sausage was perfectly balanced and a delicious, light mouth feel with notable, yet not overpowering sage and fennel notes. The basil was fresh and scattered in strips across the top. The sauce was bright red and simple...tomato sauce, salt, pepper, garlic and oil. Each table had dried chili flakes and powdered parm, as most restaurants do. The crust was the only area I would like to see improved. For gluten free, it was good. It wasn't dry, sandy, oily or cracker thin. It was a rolled out, quick bread texture thin crust without being too thin. I am so spoiled by New Cascadia Gluten free Bakery and thier yeasty, stretchy...just like a glutenous hand-tossed crust should be crust. They are the bar and it's a very high bar. If this spot charged even more to let me have New Cascadia as an option, I would very happily pay it. The service was friendly and the two bathrooms are gender nuetral...with an alien saying who cares on the door. The one I used was very clean. The building is dated but has old building character and wall heating units as well as AC. The whole street has a lot of locally owned and run spots with signs letting patrons know LGBTQ+ are welcome and support signs for black lives matter. This place does have live music on a regular basis as well.
Don't throw money at greedy, bloated corps. Give these guys your money and have an excellent pizza pie and great ambiance. Vegan options are here as well. If you feel like desert, check out the vegan, gf ice cream and goodie shop one block west (toward MLK) and across the street. I don't need dairy free but we each had a scoop and it was creamy and delicious! Then slip into Restore back across from Mississippi Pizza and see what inspires you. The whole street is a great day to be had. 🙂

Went here for $6 adult slushy week and tried their Purple Rain slushy. Very very good. Actually, the slushy was served in a bar in the back of the pizza place called Atlantis Lounge. The pizza here is affordable and crazy delicious. We went here 3 times. Third visit, walked into a fabulous drag show going on. Made the spontaneous date night even more memorable

Ordered from here last night. Got the Penelope pie and the real nice pie. For an East Coaster visiting the PNW, Mississippi pizza has definitely had the closest crust to any pizza that I'm use too. Highly recommend it!

Monday night is Bourbon & Bingo night. Bingo starts at about 7:30pm and it feels more like stand up comedy than Bingo. Very fun, definitely recommend checking it out!

Let me just start out by saying this isn't Napoli and this place is a cornerstone of the neighborhood that has been going forever. They hit that perfect point of offering the highest quality pizza that they can while keeping it cheap. It's not super gourmet. But the dough has some stretchiness to it, bubbles when cooked and the toppings can be combined in ways that make it really satisfying. They also support musicians and the arts with their very affordable venue providing an amazingly useful hub of human interaction all day every day. Bless you Mississippi pizza!

Absolutly delicious pizza and great friendly service. Kitchen accidentally made wrong pizza and I was OK with it But our server insisted we get an upgraded size and take the right pizza home. This was so much appreciated. 5 stars all around

This location has amazing pizza and great service. This location often has live bands playing at the restaurant. Great place to have a low key but fun weekend with some friends. There is outdoor sitting 🪑 in case you want to bring your 🐶

Great pizza, fast service, a few beers on tap, there's a lot to like about this place. Plenty of outdoor seating, plenty of slices to choose from, and plenty of whole pies to choose from. Wouldn't mind seeing a few more beers on tap but this place executes pizza and their identity well. We'll come back.

Classic Portland stop! Great pizza 🍕 wonderful service. Great live music as well for many years!

Had the Ultimate Vegetable pizza and a breadstick. Super delicious, I love it. They even re-heat your order in the oven once you order as well. I will try to visit again if I'm in the area.

A solid place to get quick slices of pizzas at a decent price. I liked that they usually have a good assortment out allowing you to have some options to satisfy the mood you are in. The fancy meat is just like a Supreme pizza. Overall, quick and friendly service.
Stevin1888
Pizza was very good, amazing hot sauce collection and very quick. Nice selection of brews. I got a quick 30 min on my laptop for work and drank a beer, ate pizza.
Sarah Welch
Chill environment. Ww went on a Tuesday evening with daughter and granddaughter. Open Music Mic Night began about 7:00. Kid friendly until 9:00. People very kind, a lively warm energy was generated.
Leah
Great pizza, breadsticks and beer. Good atmosphere as well. Also to the employee that asked about my shorts, it was actually a brand that doesn't exist anymore :( not popfit or astoria activewear. It looks like a place called peachlift has the exact same ones though!
Christiaan Colville
Awesome slices of pizza at a great price. Quick and easy, with a nice drink selection. I will absolutely be back.
Ziondweller
Feels like an old school family restaurant with a bar and lounge in the back. Great wine list. Live entertainment in the evenings. Very family friendly by day but night maybe not so much.

My first time at Mississippi pizza was maybe a month ago when with a large 18" pep & saus. Afterward I decided it was the best pizza in the city. Sure it was $30+ for the best pizza in the city, but whatever, you get what you pay for. I decided to go back for round two, and went and got a little technical - same pizza, but specifically asked for the pizza to be "square" cut instead of regular pie cut (i.e. sweet home Chicago style). What they created instead was literally the least functional pizza I have ever gotten, even counting grocery store pizzas that have cracked while frozen but you don't find out until you try to put it in the oven. What they interpreted square cut to mean was just the traditional pie cut with a circle cut into the middle of the pizza. When I picked up the pizza they told me they didn't do it square cut - which I understand - most pizza places forget about the special request because they're in the zone of churning out pizzas, which would have been fine. However, when I got home, I realized they just created an abomination and called it pizza. Puzzled, I decided to give them a call. The guy was nice enough when I called, stating that they cut it into "tiny pieces" for me, to which I was flabbergasted. I, nor google, has apparently heard of pizza being cut into tiny pieces, or little or baby pieces for that matter. In any case, I felt (and still feel) like this was some kind of cosmic shade being thrown at me. Maybe they have a weird sense of humor and just secretly deplore square cut pizza - who knows! When I further questioned the frame of mind of how my request was misinterpreted, he stated that while he'd heard me say square cut, some people make the "tiny pieces" request, and that's what he believed I was asking for. He did offer several times to remake it, to which I said no, because I'd already driven 30 minutes back and forth to get the pizza and wasn't about to do it again (which brings the review from 2 stars up to 3). But seriously, if someone pays $30+ for a pizza, and this is the end product, this feels like some question-the-people-you-love type BS. I don't want to have to not go here, but I like to think I have self-respect - shouldn't I not?

This is a great pizza place. It is a quaint little restaurant tucked out of the way. They have amazing pizza and all of their sauces and topics are Gluten-Free. They even have a Gluten-Free crust along with a Vegan cheese. This place also features live local music every night. I definitely recommend this place!!

The food was really great. I ordered a pizza that came out to me within 10 minutes, I was impressed how fast the food came out.
I took two stars away because of a situation we had before ordering. When we got there, there weren't any lines standing outside to get into the restaurant, everyone was standing inside. There were signs all over saying that there were only 6 customers allowed inside. We saw a woman coming out of the restaurant with a finished order so we went in after her but then we saw that there were 7 people in line inside. While we were waiting in the door for one more person to leave an employee came up to us and said, you need to wait outside. We were really confused and trying to figure out what to do. We tried to tell him that we went in after seeing a lady leave. Then that same woman that left after getting her order came back inside behind us to basically cut in front of us to talk to her boyfriend (who was at the front of the line).
The employee didn't say anything to her but let her cut us and his excuse was, "We normally have someone directing people out here." But there wasn't anyone there right then.
I tried to tell the lady that if she wanted to count herself in as one person with her boyfriend and social distance that way she needs to STAY standing by her boyfriend. The employee told me I was wrong he said Mississippi Pizza doesnt count groups, they count people.
I felt like the employee didnt want to listen to me. He must have gone back into the restaurant and told everyone that I yelled at the lady customer that cut in front of us because when I got to the front of the line I heard the employees laughing at me saying things like, "We're social distancing to cut back on Covid and yelling isn't helping." I felt like they were talking about me.
I was very embarrassed. It ruined my good mood. I wasn't able to enjoy the food because I felt so bad.
I went there with my disabled boss that I caregive for and it ruined her night too. My boss is unable to walk very far and they could see that (she has a brace) but they still didnt let us in as one person, they told us we had to wait for 2 people to leave even though my boss literally physically depends on me to be next to her for things like this. She even told me shes never had this may problems getting food at Mississippi Pizza. She was so stressed that she didn't want to go back inside until the employee said we could. But the employee didnt come back so she waited until all 8 people left the restaurant before going inside. On top of that there were 3 more people that went inside before us to buy pizzas they had called for. They didnt wait in line at all.
We were just trying to have a fun evening. I always try to follow all the rules. I know this was an accident but it wasn't handled well which is why I'm not going back.
I feel like part of what makes a good meal is the experience.

Awesome place.
They have the best gluten free pizzas I have ever had. Great combinations or build your own pizza. And dairy free cheese.
Great beer selection for those who can still drink beer.
Alexis Avery
Literally the best pizza I've ever had! The pizza here can compete (and win) against pizzas I've had in New York and Chicago.
This was also one of the best gluten free (GF) and vegan experiences I've ever had as well.
We actually ended up here (from over an hour drive away) because our kiddo had been begging for gluten free pizza from a restaurant. We had tried our local place but they weren't any good and cross contamination wasn't their concern. My wife jumped on Google and started looking for gluten free pizza and found Mississippi Pizza Pub and off we went.
We found out that they have a crust that is made in a safe facility for gluten free and even have a gluten free/vegan crust if needed. They have a separate oven for gluten free and even use separate ingredients (VERY important if cross contamination is a big issue for you like it is for us) to help keep the pizza safe. While they do also make gluten containing pizza they do everything they can to make this a safe and fun experience.
We have since been back once, and have plans of going back next week. If we lived close to this place we would be broke and severely overweight... but we would be VERY happy about it!
Every day our kiddo begs us to go back to Mississippi Pizza pub!
Also... lets not forget just how LGBTQ friendly this place is. They even have a rainbow flag by the front door and a trans flag in their outside seating area! We couldn't have felt more loved, respected, or welcome than we did here.
I'm literally counting down the days until we go back (9 days... lol) and cannot wait!

Bought pizza by the slice pizza special I.e. two pieces and a fountain drink for $8.00. They were good New York style slices but not super fresh. Fresh made pizza would be better and will try next time. Fancy Vegetarian was our favorite.
Nalani Hennessey
Got two vegan slices with broccoli, olives, Follow Your Heart mozzarella, and vegan field roast Italian (picture is covered in Parmesan, nutritional yeast, red pepper flakes, and oregano), as well as a garlic breadstick (vegan, and not pictured as I scarfed it down immediately), and vegan ranch. All for $6.50! Make sure to peek at the “$2.50” platter for the best deal. Delicious pizza on thin crust, lots of great vegan/vegetarian/meat options.

I showed up for a pick-up from this place and despite my order being delayed the folks here were friendly and treated me like a friend. Cannot recommend enough. Pizza was delicious.
Skip Hatchel
Great place, friendly staff, good food. Second time we've been here. Tough to park in the neighborhood but worth it once you do.
Aaron Cole
Love this space. Great pizza and services. I especially love the shows they've been hosting in the lounge.
Chrys Chabot
Love this place! There is always something going on. The events range from family friendly to wild girls night. The pizza is good and the drinks are great and reasonably priced for the area. Have bought more than one shirt from weird local bands I never would have discovered without this place.
Melanie Calderon
Closest thing to NY style pizza in North or NE Portland. Yummmmm
Can get crazy at night.
Grab a slice too
Chris Leland
This is my favorite American pizza in portland. Their cookies/sweets are super top notch. Love this spot!
Chris Batson
Really good pizza. High quality ingredients, super good crust. Highly recommend.

It was great to get pizza and pints and enjoy some live music here. The pizza crust was crispy and chewy, but the rest of the pizza reminded me of school lunch pizza.
Simion Andreeff
Love the pizza. The guy behind the counter was very nice and helpful. Got tomatoes on the house.
Edgar Ruiz
Been coming here for years. Pizza is always wonderful. One of the best in Portland.
Bar area is full of life. Grab a slice, head through the door, and enjoy a show.
monse camacho
Always love coming to Mississippi and getting pizza from here ! Always friendly and great customer service . Love the energy !
Cassie Kebler
I usually like Mississippi pizza but I ordered a half Margherita pizza and got home to find a cheese pizza with tomato’s but no basil at all. It was a big disappointment as Basil is obviously the best part of Margherita pizza.
Aaron Parish
Always appreciate good quality pizza and service I receive here.
Laurie Horton
Gluten-free pizza best I’ve ever had. Fast service on a Tuesday night. Pleasant outdoor seating.
Code With Me
Excellent gluten free and vegan pizza options, in addition to standard pizza options. Typical order at register, they call your number or bring out food, you bus own table. Parking can be a challenge in this area.
Kayla Hipp
Delicious pizza! There were lots of great pizzas to choose from and the two we tried were delicious.
The website was hard to use to view the menu and place an order but we figured it out.
Mickey Mishra
Honestly I was surprised how good this place was and of course the service was excellent. Please make sure to sit outside before the cold comes. Fred atmosphere and a wonderful place to be.
Jonathan Abbott
Great food . Great atmosphere. You never know what you will run into. We walked in when a local band was playing, once they finished we were ready to leave but then noticed alot new poeple with instruments waking in. Turns out after 7:30 there was a sort of "open mic" classical music session. You never know what you will get!
Aub Driver
This is a cool spot for a slice. It's got a big table area in back where you can hang out and enjoy some pie. There's even a private room that does events. They have a pretty rad rotating tap selection and pitchers are the way to go. Just a heads up, their cheese to sauce ratio weighs heavily on the cheese.
Amber Toropova
Always a delight to grab a slice at Mississippi Pizza. Counter staff was friendly, helpful, and prompt while bustling through a long list of orders. The pizza was tasty, as usual and I love that I can always get a vegan slice and breadsticks here. If you’ve never visited before, be aware that the by the slice pieces are of a limited variety, but they have something to suit almost everybody. If you’re thinking of ordering the Caesar salad, do it! It’s huge and delicious. And while the weather is nice, seating outside in front of the restaurant can’t be beat for Portland ambiance.
William J
From my 7 year old daughter, Talia - I loved the show here and the pizza was off the top! I like the way that you invite anyone that’s different because different is good.
John Willingham
Great pizza, fast slices and I'm a cool little shack on the street. The sauce had a good tang to it, yum yum! It CHEESEY
Nuna Yerbiz
Definitely the best gluten free pizza in the area. Sometimes the staff can be a little forgetful but nothing too serious. Will definitely come back.
Isa Dean
Pizza by the pie or slice. Haven't eaten here because I'm GF other than their fabulous spinach salad (used to be more fabulous 15 years ago - pine nuts). I love to come see a band here on occasion - the local Russian band especially. The GF pizza pie was out of my comfort (over $30) so I sought out frozen pizza for the first time and found satisfaction lol. Today's visit I found the front room had been turned into a wine shop which was a surprise! Is there new ownership? My friend was craving a cookie so he bought one and walked away asking himself if he really just spent $4.50 plus a tip on a cookie!
Nathan Berres
The pizza tasted amazing and was made in a reasonable amount of time when I placed the order (around 30 minutes). The pizza prices are very expensive in my opinion so this would be a place I would buy a whole pie as a treat. Only downside is how expensive it is but if it helps give the workers a livable wage then I'd be all for it!
Gail Lukesh
We had a blast at Monday night's bingo and bourbon! Highly recommend, if you're healthy, you come on down to play. Pizza is awesome, the pours are generous, and the folks are delightful.

Great crust! Best pizza so far on Mississippi Ave.
Ersan Bayindir
This Pizza restaurant is always our number one choice when visiting Portland.
The cheese pizza is our favorite.
If you visit Portland you def have to check out this restaurant.
Clara Edvi
Hands down the best GF/DF pizza I’ve ever eaten!!! Loved the atmosphere and great customer service!!! Highly recommend!!!
Max Peterson
Always a fun place for an intimate show; nice to grab a bottle of wine & a few slices and hang with randomly associated new friends. This was our first mid-pandemic show out, so it took a bit to get used to the close-in experience, kudos to the bar staff, sound person & chill fellow patrons for an enjoyable night out.
Mari Lemar
Been going here for years it never disappoints, the Ceaser salad is amazing asking for extra dressing.
michael mckiernan
Cool atmosphere and pretty solid pizza slices. Slice and a beer is $8.50 which is a great deal for a quick bite.
Gluten dedicated kitchen for those who are not just gluten free but celiac or sensitive. Took my daughter's allergy seriously and gave her a separate plate.
Will be back to some thin New York style slices.
Kevin Doherty
Rich is a gem. Saw my favorite band here last night. I can't believe how cool this place is. Thanks y'all. Holy good gosh darn. Hot Damn Scandal played coming out of Bellingham. Now I have to go to Bellingham for another one. One more!!!
Ashley Kamren
Good place to bring children for music and entertainment while parents can have a beer and socialize. Pizza is decent.
Ali Nabavi (LukeyLuck)
The quality and customer service and delivery seemed excellent.
As a vegan however, I suggest if you place something like Field Roast on your topping selections that you put enough Field Roast on your pizza to make your customer feel like they're actually eating Field Roast. I ordered it because of the Field Roast but I couldn't even taste it. 💜🙂
Bethany Preston
Ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and some delicious garlic breadsticks! This little eatery is delicious.
C Miller
Obviously a fresh pie is the best but we picked up two of the $12 pies to go and it was great! They have multiple options, vegan included, which made it hard to decide on just one. Definitely recommend heating up on a pizza stone or some sort of tray just to get the crust crispy at home. We ended up making both of the pizzas at once and then reheating the next day to finish and they were still good.
Matthew Anderson
Thanks for hosting Talaulah's Daddy's show! It's was a great reason to visit and the pizza was really good
HERCULES TOWING
Food was good service was good I'd eat at this place again great neighborhood!
Dan Nibouar
Great pizza and selection of drinks. We have been here several times for the children's concerts. The performers are always top notch. The kids have so much fun and are given space to express themselves. There is a camaraderie among the parents. Great way to do dinner and let the kids have fun (and tire themselves out).
Charmar Alshe
Super cool environment I had a great time my girlfriend brought me here randomly and I was very impressed
Teddie Teddie
The Philly Fungi for 2021 Pizza Week is so yummy and delightfully chewy, but thankfully not rock hard crispy. The whole chunks of garlic are a nice bonus. Oh, the Chocolate Chip Brownie is yummy. The staff is quite friendly.
Barbara Dean
As someone with CD I was super excited to try this place! The pizza was great and I had no reaction to gluten, so it will definitely be a place to return to. It didn't get 5 stars because I asked for a towel to wash the table and never got it, nor did anyone show up to do it like they offered. So I used my own supplies. Also the music was extremely loud, had it been warmer it would have been worth eating outside just to avoid it. But food and employee wise - phenomenal
Landon Lynch
Great pizza, great environment, solid tap list and a surprisingly great venue. Worth a quick visit or a fun easy night out
Christopher Miller
Any place with a super cool bar tucked away in the back is awesome and they have flippin amazing pizza on top of that
Damon Hughes
Great pizza, lively crowd, good tunes and the drinks aren't bad either!
Amanda Avenue
went with my friend who have celiac disease as she cannot eat anything with gluten. They offer gluten free option food here. I'm able to eat anything so I thought to try her special pizza with no gluten. pizza was amazingly fresh and delicious. it taste just like regular pizza but not as greasy. The staff there were very helpful, moves fast, and kind. the line to order pizza was kinda long but moves fast. They give you option to order pizza from the slice through their display or order a pan size. Prices were reasonable and good vibes there. I would definitely go there again.
Samantha Lindsay
Came here for some pizza and bingo on Monday night. The pizza was great (perfectly crispy on the bottom) and a nice thin crust that we ordered by the slice. We also stayed for the Monday night bingo which was a blast! Playing started around 8pm and we stayed for the first game which took about 40 minutes. I would definitely recommend checking it out!
Crystal M Wyrick
If you haven’t tried the frozen pizzas yet you are missing out. Heat and eat for a pizza fix. The caramelized onion sausage one is the best. So affordable and easy to support my favorite Miss Ave business. Love you miss pizz!
Claire Cettel
Great cheese and vegan pizzas. Online, you can only get the vegan pizzas with the gluten free crust... Not sure why but I would have liked the regular crust.
I'll definitely go back.
Cuarenta Porter
Dinning or take-out, the best pizza and breadsticks; hands down!
Marlo Baker
This is a casual pizza joint with great flavors and a happening event calendar. You can order by the slice or whole pies. Friends said they weren't huge fans of the mixed drinks. I got cider and beer and both were good. The pizza was good, thicker crust than Sizzle Pie. It's a medium crust, very yummy. I went to an event here, a butch magazine event party. The audio kept cutting out and the seating was crowded, but not bad. If you have sensory issues be aware. The music was good and not to loud. The bathroom was clean. I'll be back.
patrick pugh
Didn't realize this place has so many options till after I ordered, but if this pizza is gluten free, I don't care. It's delicious. I think you might have to order it special though. Well worth a stop in for a quick lunch bite, you'll leave satisfied. Thin crispy crust, good amount of jazz on top. Looks like it's fun after hours, too, with lots of stuff going on via window signage.
Debbie Seward
Pizza was great!! Customer service, outstanding. Accommodated us with heaters outdoors and just made sure we were cared for. Nice to have that during trying times. Charming seating area
Blue Maculagh
Super friendly staff and vegan options all over the place.
Has both excellent inside and outside seating and they also have a lot of live music events, some require a small cover.
You know they care about their food when you are getting a refill and the pizza chef asks how it was to make sure you enjoyed it.
mooskies porter blythe
The pizza there are s very filling and has great seats,a very nice restroom, and a space for more seats but with privacy. It does have a stage where people perform music and stuff (which I personally don't like) but overall it's a very nice place! Plus it has bubble crust and thin dough
soriah V
Had a lovely birthday party in the lounge last night, the staff were super accommodating and welcoming. All the guests just went up and ordered their pizza slices from the front and brought them all back. It was a huge success! Pizza was so delicious
Curtis Himel
Pretty good pizza by the pie or slice. We tried the pineapple / ham, and a veggie slice with mushrooms, basil, spinach, mozz, feta, and a light white sauce.
They were both good, but the veggie one really got it right. There was a more-veggie option that added black olives, artichoke, and garlic cloves; but I'm glad we went with the simpler version. My instinct was that would come out better if they nailed the sauce and crust (and they did.) The other more pungent veggies would have overpowered more subtle flavors.
The pineapple / ham wasn't as stand-out, but was still quite tasty.
I don't see myself going out of my way to return, but I wouldn't mind stopping by again if I'm in the neighborhood. Not the best pizza I've had in my life, but far above average.
Nooch
Great pizza joint. Awesome selection of thin crust. My bud and I sat down, visiting from Chicago, very friendly staff cut the slices in half so we could try all the slices (half slice each). Very very good. Try the Secret Aardvark hot sauce on the pizza. Very flavorful, but not hot or lingering, just a few drops.
The caesar salad was extremely fresh and good, salt and pepper to taste. Definitely recommend it for thin crust pizza snobs.
Sit inside or outside in the covered train seating section.
Jake Benson
Fantastic pizza on one of my favorite streets in all of Portland. They have plenty of room to accommodate large groups and outdoor seating. Additionally they have vegetarian and vegan options if that is what you are looking for. The pizza is always fresh and they keep it warm for customers. They also have live music there if that is your thing.
Rachel Fairley
Just not my type of pizza. Very friendly staff and fast service. I also enjoyed their outdoor seating. Unfortunately the food just wasn't what I was expecting.
Yuri
I've been going here forever, and its always amazing.
Daniel Eichler
Great thin pizza by the slice or whole pies. Excellent beer choices and fresh squeezed juice cocktails. They added a bar on their patio with slushy margaritas. Live music changes every day and they have trivia, comedy and Bingo. Music shows for kids, families and late 21 and over shows with a variety of music. Fun place to go!
Arielle O'Brien
This place is a gem. Pizza types for all types. Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, meat lovers, you name it, they have it. Some pizza is by the slice, some is personal size and some is whole pizza. They have a stage and constantly have entertainment. I'll definitely bring my family back.

Great pizza with a great vibe. It has gluten free and vegan options both for pizza and dessert! This street is also a cool little place to walk around. Parking can be interesting, but it is Portland. The staff is really friendly and it seems they have events weekly. Can not wait to go back!
Lexi
Their pizza is excellent! Especially the BBQ chicken with bacon and ricotta! It was even better with it crispy. Available by the slice or whole pie. Great brownies, beer and cider. Wednesday nights they have a trivia night and it's a lot of fun.
Courtney Humbard
Mississippi Pizza is such a fun place! We love to take our kids here for the live kids music. I believe they have it most days Monday-Saturday in the Kate afternoon. Their pizza, bread sticks, and beer are delish! You can order by the slice. The have meat, vegetarian, and vegan options!
K. Ching
Great for family or single scene. Live misic & pizza. Good value
Brandon O
The food we had was good. Of, and ordered for different appetizers, I liked the artichoke dip. The tables were small, but that's what you expect to. They were big enough that we had food and beers, nobody spilled anything. I think the club layout was very well-thought-out, the lighting was good, the wait staff was friendly. I will definitely be back.
Marshall Steeves
Great environment and vibe. But was severely disappointed with the pizza and bread sticks. Both tasted overdone and charred. Strange considering they looked great, however the flavor left much to be desired. I’d give it another go, but if you’re looking for thin crust pizza in Portland, I could recommend plenty of others that top this spot.
paul norberg
I love this place. As a lactoid intolerant person I can get the pizza that I like very easily. Combine that with the live music and events that they have next door in the lounge oh, and you got a win-win place. Service is always knowledgeable and fast, the beer is fresh and the pizza is great.
Dawn Tower
Very good thin crust, New York style pizza. Just blocks from my laundromat, and I enjoy stopping in while washing clothes. Nice selection of craft beer on tap. Quality toppings, excellent crust with the perfect amount of salt (what's up with the west coast not salting it's dough?)
Live music venue next door, I'd love to partake if my dog wasn't always with me. I do love the permanent covered patio.
TJ West
Seriously good food. The pizza is awesome, can be purchased either by the slice or a whole pizza available in several different sizes. Mississippi also has great gluten free pizza crust for people with gluten sensitivity, and it is better than traditional pizza crust from many other pizza joints.
The salad is also dynamite, and one of my wife's favorite salads anywhere.
The building has outdoor seating for nice weather and the inside a neat and comfortable atmosphere. Check out the events they host too.
Adam Rothstein
Decent slices, very nice staff. I appreciate any pizza place in this town with decent crust that serves by the slice. Family and kid friendly, with a number of music events catered to that crowd. I like the bar in the back with a ocean theme... A nice place to go and hide when the rest of the place is a bit crowded and busy. Only complaint is that the slice line could be managed a bit better. When there are families pondering their multi-part orders sometimes it take like 15 minutes to just order a couple slices to-go.
Daniel Bailey
This was my first visit to Mississippi Pizza. I came for the Geoff Berner concert in the lounge area and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff. The bartender in the back, an older gentleman whose name I failed to ask for, was really nice to talk to. I would happily go here for another show. While it's a small venue, the acoustics are good and the enclosed intimate feeling is nice.
Dan Rubado
Quality North Portland pizza staple. I always enjoy coming here although it is generally quite crowded, so you need to be prepared to wait in line at the counter and longer to get your food. But, there's a good selection of craft beer, and it's a nice spot to hang out. Very kid friendly and they even have kid music events every week or two. A number of before and vegan menu items.
Nicole Clarke
Excellent gluten free pizza! Great service. Cool joint. Thank you!
Keir Karson
Still the best place to escape from Portland. The service is excellent. And the bar and the bar food very good -- but overpriced. The main room is showing its age, with at least one chair's fabric ripped. I hope the new owners continue to invest in the Lodge. And keep the relationship with the Forest Service. It remains a cornerstone of the experience.
James Gower
Fantastic place to have food and drinks. Must see for sure
Smartie Pants
The pizza is good, coming from a New York girl. They have a nice kale salad that I added chicken to for additional $3. Mainly came for the entertainment, meaning Mr Ben. My grandson loves him and all the kids have fun singing and dancing to his songs. 1 star deleted because of the political commentary by Mr Ben at the end of the concert. Not into indoctrination of children!!
Mike O'Mahoney
Great pizza in an awesome atmosphere! Sit outside under covered tables, or inside with local and national groups playing live music. Really family friendly, and a bar area for grown-ups. Laid back, fun, good food and drinks, live music or quiet outside tables - seriously, what's not to love?
Jake Green
Great happy hour deal on a vegan slice and a pint!
Ted Wittman
I usually come here for the pizza by the slice but I have also ordered a full pizza. If you order by the slice it comes out almost instantly. They have really unique seating along the shoulder of the road outside of their establishment. Inside are two rooms, one of the two has a stage that features live performances.
I love the warm atmosphere of Mississippi Pizza and their pizza slices are large and delicious. Best pizza on Mississippi Street!
Claire Broderick
Crispy hand tossed crust, fresh sauces and yummy toppings with a great outdoor seating area. Slushie drinks and a Bingo speakeasy :) Hello Atlantis, Miaaiaaipi pizza place. Awesome!
Dava Ellinger (Octopunx)
Delicious pizza, and a great selection of drinks. Service was fast and friendly. Pleasant outdoor seating in front. Would recommend :)
Mehira Lozano
Wonderful spot to grab a slice of pizza for lunch and go, or sit and enjoy a meal with friends. Lots of toppings to choose from, the crust has the perfect crunch. And the prices are great! If you want to a good slice of pizza in the Mississippi area, come here.
Margaret Alba
Went to Mississippi Pizza to meet up with some friends. I got a veggie pizza slice which looked absolutely delicious. However, I felt that it lacked a little flavor. That being said, it wasn't bad. The crust was the perfect balance of soft and crispy.
And I enjoyed the ambience. My friends and I sat in the back lounge area which had its own bar.
I'll probably come in again - it's a favorite spot for my friend group - but I just won't order the veggie pizza.
Rhiannon Knutson
last night, i went to the comedy that they have every wednesday, was blown away! my first comedy show in portland and i wasn’t expecting much. i’m used to mostly experiencing second hand embarrassment for the people on stage, so i was so surprised when all of the comedians were actually so so so funny. i loved the structure— the hosts were hilarious and all of the comedians had me like, gasping for breath laughing. will be coming back & recommending to everyone!
Xess Dx
I hate anything gluten free or vegan. I'll never understand why, unless you had a specific food allergy, why you'd ever eat anything gluten free.
That said, if you have the allergy, gluten can make you really sick, which is why it is kinda awesome that Mississippi pizza goes out of their way to try and make something those sort of folks can eat, and enjoy.
For the rest of us, a surprisingly good, and thankfully full of gluten, pizza. And yes, thankfully, they also have meat!
Seriously, this is a great neighborhood pizza joint, outside seating, inside family friendly seating, and a really awesome bar tucked in the back.
Often live music, which can make the place loud and crowded, but well enjoyed by the patrons.
Decent beers to go with the pies, as well.
As for the bar in back, it's a cool spot if not super busy, but if busy, service due to its small size can be slower than watching dirt. SLOW. so be forewarned.
Parking on Mississippi can at most times, be non existent, but for the bike friendly, you'll be happy.
Ashley LaBauve
Every month the Mississippi Pizza Pub hosts the Temporary Lesbian Bar. I go to this event every month an have a wonderful time! They have a mix of music that keeps the ball rolling. The food is always fresh and the drinks are tasty. The staff are very kind Its a busy place and I really enjoy my time there.
Suzanne Stark
The pizza is good and they also have some nice salads, that you can add chicken or other proteins to. Went there mainly for the entertainment, meaning Mr Ben! My grandson absolutely loves him and the kids like to dance and sing to his songs. I'm minusing 1 star for his political commentary and song about Elizabeth Warren. I really don't think that's necessary for toddlers, even though I know he was really talking to the adults. Not cool with indoctrination!!
elaine akamian
Love love LOVE MISSISSIPPI PIZZA. Vegan options, cheap beer, great music and late night atmosphere. Anywhere that has vegan ranch dressing I'm there. Their regular pizza is super great too. If you're in NE and need a slice of pizza at midnight GO HERE.
Mike Turnauer
Best gluten-free pizza in town and anywhere else I've had it so far. The regular pizza is also among the best in the area. Those longing for New York style pizza should give it a try. There is even a Margherita style on the menu!
Kendra Green
Mississippi Pizza is a dream come true for me since becoming a parent. They have multiple all ages shows and also children’s bands playing often. I love coming here because my kiddo can dance his heart out while I scarf down some delicious pizza and local beer. It’s my piece of heaven.
Don Joling
I’m not sure why you’d eat pizza anywhere else in the Portland metro area. The pizza is always on point. And given how crazy busy it’s been every single time I’ve been there (a LOT), staff is always friendly and efficient. Live music, great bar, pizza and salads. Two thumbs up!
Tressa Gehrke
Great pizza combos, good prices. They have delicious gluten-free options, too. What I enjoy most about their gluten-free pizza is that it doesn't taste GF. Every time I take my sister here (she's GF), she insists on sending it back thinking that they have made it regular and not gluten-free - that's how good it is!
Sloan Lacey Noyes
I love this place—the atmosphere, the food, it’s all good. The crust is some of my favorite in town, and they have really good vegan options. Highly recommend as a spot for a quick bite, lunch meeting, or date night.
Barbara Portwood
I went here to participate in the Beatles sing-along night. Live band All Together Now was quite good, covering the Beatles tunes. It was a happycrowd of mostly Boomer or Millennials and their kids. The pizza was good. The place was jammed so service was understandably slow - but the staff was hard at work, turning out pizza as fast as they could. It was a good time.
Christa Arriaga-Volker
This is one of our favorite places to grab pizza. We even pick up pizza crust to-go so we can make our own pizza at home. Mississippi pizza is a real chill spot, the food doesn't take long, the prices are reasonable and the bar in the back is cool too with great cocktails. I love that they have Anchor steam on tap, for some reason Anchor isn't super easy to find on draft around the city. The vegan pizza is delightful as well and I am not even vegan.
Nyleen M
Been going here for years. The people are always kind and chill. The pizza is always great. The entertainment is entertaining. Sweet little spot!
Doug Wicks
Wife and I are moving, which demands pizza and beer. Ordered a sausage mushroom pie from Mississippi pizza. Enjoyed a sunriver vicious mosquito while it baked. One pint later, a steaming hot pie is in my hands. Life is good. Moving still sucks, bit we have good pizza and beer.
Casey Faubion
I used to take a person with a disability here for music and he looks bed the food the event and the staff. Pizza is good and the staff then was so kind and patient with us.
Toby Welborn
Kid friendly, decent beer selection, and great pizza. There is usually live music throughout the weekends running the gamut from adult to kid focused. Worth the wait when the line is out the door. If your just there for drinks, skip the line and head to the bar in the back room.
Ian Taylor
High quality pizza at decent prices (not cheap, but not the most expensive). Restaurant is a good atmosphere but can be hard to find a place to sit on weekend nights. Bar at the back serves good cocktails and the stage upfront can host some good music.
CASPERZ BEN HERE
Im from California here visiting my auntie, we ordered from Mississippi Pizza via delivery. I have no complaints great food and delivery driver was very nice and professional. I recommend this pizza place very good food, I will order here again for sure. star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ☝️👍 …
Gale Taylor
Not only do they have great pizza and live music but they have the best gluten free and vegan pizzas. Their gluten free is cooked in a separate oven and I've never been cross contaminated eating there.
Nita Rios
Fun place, good food, reasonable prices. Check out their Bingo Mondays
Alec Campbell
Fantastic pizza, they even have gluten free pizza made at a separate venue so as not to cross-contaminate, and awesome bands of all different genres. The most recent was a really colorful and very talented salsa band called Salsa Nova!
zephe
Visited Portland for a few days and went here, it was a great experience! The pizza and breadsticks were amazing, the service was great, the music was awesome, and the atmosphere was chill. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a bite to eat!
Mika L
Needed more flavor, I went to go get the pizza of the week and when I reached home realized that I needed to add seasonings to make it better. The pizza was a little bland, dunno if this is because it was the pizza of the week or not, but they were not slammed at the time.... soooo
Maureen P. H.
My top favorite GLUTEN FREE pizza in PDX, and in the USA is here at Mississippi Pizza. The staff is always amazing, accommodating, kind. The music is always good, and the lighting is warm. I love you Mississippi Pizza!!!
Andrew Schaffer
Seriously good pizza. Nice people. Good shows.
The Galgani's
Great live music. Amazing ambiance and excellent pie!
Matt Wyss
Get the Greek Freak... It's my favorite pizza at Mississippi. When we can go back for live music I'll be so happy. It's one of the best places in town for food and bands.
Ernie Wagaman
Went to have Pizza and beverage with friends. A band had been playing at 4:00 for kids. Place was packed. We found a place to sit as the place was clearing out.
A band named Bellow Bridge started playing. It was fun Celtic music.
The 4 member group played a variety of instruments. Was a good accompaniment to the good pizza.
Jeffrey Reynolds
The stage with lighting and spaces and delicious affordable food and drink within are perfect for live music! This happy house miraculously has both indoor and outdoor seating and is indeed a great friend and host of ongoing wide range of music from salsa and tango dance bands to international music tours, experimental music, original rock & roll, tribute bands, and featuring dozens of high caliber local vintage blues, bluegrass, folk, jazz, swing, and string bands, and even including special kids and family shows!
iris duvall
Built our own, it was made perfectly, and ready within 20 minutes of ordering it from the counter.
Grateful for the vegan options!
Tatjanna Miller
My go to place when I'm in Portland. Whenever I'm in town, I grab a friend who hasn't been here and go. Their Pizzas are amazing and the music is always a great taste of the newest up and coming Portland vibe. I live in Montana and am always excited for my next trip!
Amy Hadden
Nice place, friendly staff, DELICIOUS pizza!
AJ Amr
Best vegan pizza pie in town and for the best value. The lounge in the back is low key and private, good place for a convo if there isn't live music playing (which there usually is). They have Gluten Free pizza and beer which helps if you have some of those allergies.
Mark Hammer
Great pizza. Live music in one room with a bar in the back, and a pizza restaurant on the other side. If you don't want the live music you don't have to see it. Outdoor seating also. They sell slices. They sell beer and soda.
Brett Condit
I have a couple of gluten free pizza places I love here in Iowa, but this place blew them out of the water. I had the fremont and it had the tastiest crust the best ingredients and I had a cider with it. This was an amazing experience for me and if I move to Portland, which now I really want to, I will be a regular at this place. Oh yeah they offer their gluten free dough to go in case you want to make your own at home.
Chris Marshall
Wonderful pizza, great prices, and... A comedy night!?
Deanna Day
Super good pizza! The one we got had cloves of cooked garlic all over it--WHOLE CLOVES. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is casual and friendly. Trivia night was super fun too!
Tim Aguirre
I went here for trivia and loved it. The pizza is wonderful. The staff is great! I think that the location is great! I would definitely try the cheese pizza. It is my favorite. The seating is great and the people the hang out there are super chill.
George Gonzalez
This place always has a variety of slices at the counter for order and a happy hour which gives you $1 off the regular price. Plenty of seating, a stage for performances, and a bar in very back. When I went on a Wednesday night, it was trivia night and I had a great time.
Joel Buchanan
Stumbled in (literally and figuratively) on a Sunday night when I heard a live band playing.
$5 donation for the band (which was local and had a saw and a washboard).
Beer was tasty and about average price for the area. The pizza smelled amazing but I didn't partake.
Melinda Hagen
Love their thin crust pizzas and pitchers of local beers. Plus they offer a great calendar of live music, including family night. Service isn't always with a smile, but I'm finding that Portland isn't known for such.
Stormii Wison
Came for my birthday, belly dancers were amazing! Looking forward to their next show. Perfect food, great staff and atmosphere, can't wait to go back.
Laurence Pollen
At peak hours (ie when there’s a show), have an extra person help the cashier. The cashier should only take orders and deal with money. The helper would put slices in the oven, run orders to the pizza makers, pull beers, pull slices out of the oven and ensure the right slices/salads get to customers. Having a line to the front door is not a good customer experience. The current situation puts too many tasks on the first person the customer deals with (cashier). Generally creates a chaotic experience. Pizza is great so how about providing a great customer experience:)
Paul
Music venue: generally full house for most weekend shows but it's just the right size for traveling bands coming through. There is a back area bar on those nights so you can get good cocktails and service throughout. Doesn't share space with the pizza dining area which is nice to keep disruptions down. Small stage area so for bands with lots of instruments and for changeups, there is an awkwards shuffling of gear from the closet but other than that, love it here. Seen many a great performance
Candice Ray
One of the best family owned resturnats!! Good pizza, great price, great atmosphere and awesome staff. When I'm in the area I generally stop and eat. Missing out if you havent tried it!
Micah Hawkins
I love Mississippi pizza.. super chill staff, family friendly, accommodating for folks with dietary restrictions, live music, bar in the back.. whenever we can't decide what to do for dinner this place always comes up as an option. Grab a slice and throw some spinach salad on top 😋 …
Andrew Pikul
A great local pizza place that offers very, very good pizza. They offer big pies and individual slices with veggie, meat and vegan options. Several local taps as well as some very affordable PBR as well. They also offer some pretty cool weekly events including karaoke and trivia, which is super awesome.
Cary Smith
We love this place. I think it's the best pizza in N. Portland. Tasty beers, yummy bread sticks. They have gluten free pizza and Diaya cheese. Thursdays live music for the kids.
Adrianne Gunn
I love this place as a music venue, but the pizza isn't that great. Or at least the pizza I had tonight wasn't that awesome. Potentially different non meshing flavor profiles which is weird because chicken, bacon, pesto, and spinach works together usually.
Bryna Hayden
Dude. The pizza here rivals that of the famous (well, okay, LOCALLY famous) Skipolini's Pizza in Clayton, CA. This place does pizza very, very well. I'm thrilled with their ambiance (hip, fresh, but friendly, quirky, and laid back) and their beer selection. Live music on Thursdays? Kid friendly until 10pm? Yes, please. This place is a great, eclectic mix of a crowd pleaser.
RobbO
Wicked good pizza, beer, and shows and events almost every night. They are often on the portland mercury editors choice list for concerts and are host to the monthly epic Hungry Hungry Hip Hop. Beautifully lit outdoor seating lounge. Illustrious atmosphere in the restaurant and venue. Grab a brew with your flaky hand tossed pizza pie or head back to the secluded bar room for a smokey low lit experience.
Jeremy Shaw
I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Extremly friendly and happy staff that know the menu very well. Awesome pizzas. Tons of selections. We will be back many times!
JoMarie Farrell
Pizza was delicious. Loved loved the bbq chicken pizza. Pickup in alley is very convenient.
Autumn Barquin
The Simple Veggie with roasted garlic rocked! My meat-lover husband even agreed this was better than the Fancy Meat pizza. Recommend both meat eaters and non-meat eaters come here. Beer was pretty good too.
Ben Sandberg
The best gluten-free pizza I have *ever* had. Delicious. Even if you're not gluten-free, you should try this crust. It's made the transition (to gluten-free) so much easier, and yummier.
Jenni Taylor
Came here for the GF pizza. The pizza was great and the atmosphere was nice. They had live music and multiple seating areas. I have Celiac Disease and they were tossing pizza with flour in the main room where you order. My eyes started itching and I was sneezing before we even sat down. Once I moved to the back room in the bar I felt better. They make their GF pizza in a separate area and I didn't get sick but it was difficult to be in the main area when I walked in. It would be nice if they could have the register away from the non GF pizza prep.
Ryan Castro
This place has a good selection of pizza that they serve all the way up until closing, but that's not the real reason to go. There's so many amazing events at the Atlantis Lounge from the Baby Ketten Karaoke night to Quiz night. Sometimes I'll be walking home exhausted from a long day and hear some rousing music from down the street and I know that I'll feel better going, ordering a slice and a beer and listening to some amazing new band playing.
Will Ander
I go here when I don’t feel like cooking. Their discount slices, even when I don’t like the ingredients (not a big mushroom fan) are still bomb and a steal. Breadsticks slap too and fill you up. Support local business!
Laurie Wood
Gluten Free Pizza at its best. Best GF crust, best gluten free safety practices. Pesto sauce diffrent but great add feta cheese and wow! Lots of other choices and slices. Colorful comfort, come early and avoid the line
Michelle W
Slightly good pizza. They don't seem to put much effort into it, it could be much better. Very good music acts and a fun atmosphere inside and outside, with cool sidewalk seating.
Aaron Roberts Jr. (A.J.)
Their pizza is some of the better pizza that I've had. It's not the typical over the top greasy pizza. The pepperoni and meat lover pizza are great. The dough is thin and very tasty. It was great.
Igor Zadniprovskiy
Been coming here since the place opened, never a dull moment and the best Pizza. Excellent workers and great atmosphere
Ashton J
Simply put, YUM!! I stopped in for a couple slices of the Pizza Week special. (Thanks for making it vegan!) I grabbed a side of vegan ranch and a Pelican IPA while I was at it. It all made for a solid dinner. Chill N Mississippi Ave feel as well.
K S
Mississippi Pizza Pub is great little spot. I go here on Wednesday nights for their trivia quite often. They got decent to good pizza. Very cool atmosphere & nice bar area in the back with a TV to watch my precious Blazers.
Rachel W
Go for the lunch special, stay for the delicious pizza and salads. This is NY style pizza with a midwestern-style doughy outer crust. Delicious sauce, cool venue, they have live music here on evenings.
Linda Sebring
Great music venue called Atlantis Lounge. Nice selection of wine, micro-brew beer on tap and full bar. My friends enjoyed slices of pizza.
Dustin
I don't eat dairy and very few pizza places make a good no-cheese pizza. This place makes tons of delicious non-dairy pizzas and also has the best thin crust I've found in Portland so far.
Wynnifred Buzby
I go to the Atlantis lounge to regularly be in community..but the pizza and staff are wonderful too! Definitely worth a visit
Robert Brown
I stopped in here last night for the first time. The tables in the restaurant were full and there were several people sitting outside (and it was cold out). While my friend stood in line, I took a peek over in the bar and there was lots of seating. After about a 10-minute wait in line, we decided to order a "Portland" pizza: we often order stuff like that ironically just to see what we will get.
We got a pitcher of Pabst (since it was going to be a Portland night) and took a seat in the depths of the Atlantis Lounge. I was surprised by the place: nice and dark with lots of wood panelling. It was pretty quiet except for a guy two tables over who talked incessantly to a young woman who was too attractive for him. At one point he told her "not to say 'absolutely' ever again around him."
Well, this is getting long winded . . . so, when the pizza came out it was fantastic. I may have just been overly hungry but it was better than anything I've had at Apizza Scholls or Ken's (my go to pizza place). The crust was ok, but everything else was delicious: house-made pesto sauce, whole milk mozzarella, roasted red pepper, spinach, red onion, and lots of sheep feta.
I was glad I ordered the largest size: I'm going to be having a slice or two for lunch the next couple days!
Nicole Sauder
Best gf pizza in Portland. I love Mississippi st, its very relaxed. The outside booths here are so cute! Great variety of toppings. Live music and they make theirown ginger syrup for drinks!!
John Acerbi
Tonight, we were here for the music, which was great. Great beer selection. Didn't have the pizza this time, but from previous visits, is always quite good.
kristine moore
Fun fun fun place. Good pizza and lots of fun events to participate in. I have played bingo, danced salsa here, listened to a live band and more. Highly recommend. #localguide
Jill Perucca
Excellent pizza .... just asked the chef to make us his favorite!! Great live music as well !!
Brittany Adams
They have delicious pizza by the slice, and if they don't have what you want then you can add toppings to your slice. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and awesome events.
Alexander Strandlien
Yum yum yum yum yum. When living on Mississippi, I'd go in here all the time and get some slices to go. They have plenty to choose from usually, and have a rack of cheap slices that are a little older. My stoned ass loved those cheap slices. Mmmmmm. I also frequented trivia night on Wednesdays, one of the best trivias around, I hope they still do that!
Clifford Eiffler-Rodriguez
On the whole this is one the better pizza joints in the city. Would give the pizza a 4 out of 5 every time though the price is your standard gourmet pizza fair. Enjoy the small local acts that grace the stage every once in a while.
Amanda Martin-Tully
Do you like pizza? Do you like comedy? If you answered no to either of these, then you're a bad person. Stop reading this. You don't deserve this knowledge I'm sharing.
Their drinks are strong and delicious, their pizza is only rivaled by the bread sticks (personal opinion), and omg - free comedy on Wednesday.
Fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces. Bring your friends, bring your date, bring your nana!
Not all at once though, that's weird
Dom Gallegos
Landmark if Mississippi street. Sorry, messy, and cluttered from late night drinkers get stumble in for cheap food and tunes. Great sauce, amount of cheese and covering of toppings will not disappoint those seeking an inexpensive meal to chase their liquors. Friendly staff deal with a motley Crew of diners. Grab a slice when you're stumbling by and take your toes to the band. This is a must visit at least once.
Roy Levow
Wonderful pizza with a variety of vegetarian and vegan offerings. Standard is thin, crisp crust with ample toppings. Setting is plain and simple.
Gaby Peterson
The pizza is fabulous... Im just sad that eventhough we had been there for a few hours and there was a salsa group coming that we would have loved to see, we were required to pay the cover for the show.
This is the first time I see this practice... in other places if you where there before, there is no reason to pay for the events that would come later that night.
We were eating your pizza and buying drinks, maybe if we liked the band we could have become fans and buy their music.
But we ended up being forced out of the bar for not paying the cover.
Not a very good way to do business...
Dutchgirl Happy
Went here to celebrate my bday. The band Chernova was playing . Great music, fun crowd, good drinks. It was a memorable evening. I'm happy I brought in a new bday year there. Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. We were able to find parking about a block away. I also learned some Russian. Thanks Alma!
Steven Arita
Gluten free options! We loved the pizza. We wish we stayed longer for the live music.
Daniel Calabrese
Great pizza every time. Whether you just grab a slice or get yourself a full pie, it's always delicious!
Tom Marshall
Very good pizza even by my high east coast standards. I've only been for lunch. The best deal around is their Tuesday lunch special: $5.50 for two slices and a soda.
Jeffrey Keddie
Our favorite pizza place in Portland. Big slices and pies. Gluten-free available. Good beer selection. Live music everyday.
Matthew Gantz
Stop #55 for @pizzas365: Mississippi Pizza is a solid spot for classic slices and similar variations. Not the least expensive but very reasonable, with a crunchy dough ending with a slightly boring crust. 3.8 Stars.
Tom Gibson
Excellent pizza by the slice. A decent Caesar salad too. I would be happy to eat there again. Some of the best pizza I've had since leaving PA in 2005.
Daniel Hawthorn
Great pizza. Friendly staff.
I go there every weekday for a slice and a beer.
Shane F
Good pizza, but loud when shows are playing. Very fun night for the Pervian show!
Wife did complain to me about her drink not being strong enough though. I assumed as much for an 8$ drink.
Adam Stacey
Great pizza and beer and I’m very pleased that they use follow your heart as their vegan cheese. They also have outdoor seating.
Elora Romich
One of the best pizzas I've ever had! Three gluten free sizes!
Sara Pittock
Servers were friendly and their outdoor patios are very social distancing friendly. I also loved seeing the pride flags everywhere. And the pizza was delish!
Cleber Baldan Jr
Great lively pizza parlor with an integrated wine lounge. The pizza is great!
James McIntyre
This is a great place.real great food an drink's. Bigger than it looks. Full bar. Everyone was very nice, took care of things right away. And music to.all different . The day I walk in 4pm they was kid's music that every one was enjoying. Nice.fun.filling. Thankyou.1/4/19. We're at it again having a great time at The Mississippy. I realy love this place!
Michael Nied
Fairly good pizza and in fun part of Portland.
darren osburn
Good pizza, not pdx's best, but solid. Nice extra room for parties. If you're around Mississippi Art district and want a slice it's worth going to.
Sherry Hopkins Lattanzi
Made it in about 15 minutes before closing time and workers were beat up a bit as to be expected. They were still nice and food was average. Music was setting good vibes and the place was clean. Nothing to recommend unfortunately. I might try again.
Miguel Miranda
This is one of my favorite pizza places in town. The pizza is delicious and their service is great. They also host a wide rage of events.
Malice2501
It's pretty much my favorite pizza in PDX. It's the most bang for the buck and it's as close to NY pizza that I have gotten in the PNW
Daily events and a super friendly and helpful staff makes it a top pic for me!
Terri Hohl
Crust Soo light !!! Will be back for... not crispy, not chewy, but..that perfect place between crisp and chewy. Toppings delish, a variety of vegan 🍕 and palio 🍕.
Nice patio and they have a children's area/stage and a back bar Atlantis so you can pick where to kick back have a slice and a variety beer while waiting to take a whole pizza home.
They have Activities so
check out their WEBSITE before planning when to go!!
Music, comedy, Trivia, kids shows. CHILDREN HOURS parents you have to bring them here.
Brian K
Fun little neighborhood pizza spot. The pizza is good, staff is friendly. They have a room in the back with a stage that hosts all kinds of fun shows and events.
Daniel
The vegan slice is always on point. Vegan garlic bread sticks with vegan ranch. Definitely eat it there or heat it on a stone at home, that's the only way to do that amazing dough any justice.
Steve Money
Pizzia really good. Pizzia a 5, staff a 1. The guy behind the counter is rude and has the personality of walking dead.
Ordered a couple of slices and a drink. Charges full price when there's a lunch special for it. When I see the special on the board, bring it to his attention, he just stared at us and then finally says that's not what you asked for. I ask him what's the special, he responds any 2 slices and a drink.
Good pizzia brain dead staff. Make sure they charge you correctly
Holly Howard
Some of the best Pizza in town.they also have some of the best dance parties! I love to hear Melao De Cuba at the Atlantic Lounge in Mississippi Pizza. Jujuba is another group that's smoking hot! Come dance with me!
Weldon Miguel Rodriguez
In the mood for a single slice of some dank pizza, or a whole pie... Mississippi is that spot! Location is awesome and service is quick! Good beer too, and outside seating for hot summer nights!
Lorien Newbury
The pizza is awesome! Live music, dancing or other events every night. Kiddo friendly but be prepared to wait in line if it is prime dinner time.
Aaron Milano
Really nice happy hour. The pizza here is pretty good and it's a nice vibe to sit out on Mississippi or back in the depths of the lounge here. They had live music when I stopped in. It was cool.
Joanna Priestley
Absolutely the BEST GF pizza! My husband thinks their regular pizza is the BEST. We love this place!
Katryna Ohryn
Great music venue! Love their vegan pizzas and breadsticks too! They even have vegan ranch! That is rare for most non-vegan pizza places.
Chuck Wilson
My wife and I grabbed a quick slice and sat on the patio. The pizza and people watching was great. I would love to come back and listen to live music. You can't go wrong here.
Shelzey

Came for slushie month, stayed for the pizza. Really good slices and the guava slushie was the best we tried around town!
Angel O'Brien
Mississippi Pizza is fantastic! I love trivia on Wednesday night with Quizissippi. The folks are always friendly, cocktails in the Atlantis are delicious and there is always a good band playing.
Sarah Petersen

Wren the Band was great. The pizza was great and I'm a New Yorker.
Amanda Claypool
Amazing pizza! And they have the little pepperonis which are my favorite! Everything was so fresh!

Probably one of my favorite haunts in portland. I really wish I made it here more often. The pizza is always super good. But the best thing about MIss pizza is the spelling bee which is usually on monday nights. also, every time iv been here there is always some random band playing that is really awesome. gotta love that.
Amelia Phillips
Ehhh. We had a good time, but games were really expensive and some of the lines were long. Enjoyed our time there, but feel no need to go back for a while
Pavel Lutskovsky
I don't always find myself on that end of Mississippi, but when I do... I get some pizza.
Pizza is above average. Beer selection is ok. Prices good. Cool place to catch a local band.
William Reed
Adequate product but you're basically paying for eating in a trendy part of town. Quite honestly the pizza isn't that good but it's a fun place to go to. Terrible Acoustics though-'don't bother going there to see bands if you actually want to hear them
Dan Dehart
Monday night bingo! Drinks ffom Mark are great and pizza from Ryan!
Jacqueline Bell
Super tasty. The crust was perfect - not too thin or thick. We will definitely be back!
Brook Shelley
Decent pizza but awesome events like Temporary Lesbian Bar. Update: no more karaoke. Recent remodel though is pretty chill.
Sean Curtin
One of the best pizzas in town. A little pricey and the service can seem a bit annoyed that you're there, but it's definitely worth a go!
Nandi Pathefinder
I love that they have discounted old slices & the veggie week pizza was super yummy. I also appreciate the wide variety of local music they host.
John Lacey
Really good gluten free pizza
Andrew Dillon
Awesome Pizza and environment!!!
Only small recommendation, one of the guys didn't know the price of a bottle, and it took a long time for the credit card to go through. Should get a real POS.
Peter Palfi
Best pizza I've ever had out in the west coast! Very unique flavors. Would totally go back and try again!
Phillip Morgan
Such good pizza! And i love the local feel
Jonathan James
I am giving em three stars though I had a five star evening. Pizza, wine and live music. You get five stars, when the pizza becomes wood fired. You got the rest covered. Cool vibe.
Kylie Ludahl
Great pizza. A little small and crowded on the weekend but the pizza is really good. Sizes are pretty standard and prices are ok.
Denise Allen

Opal Stayer-Wilburn
Very good pizza, had no wait time for pickup and very affordable, I only wish for more toppings :/

This food was tasty and affordable. The only downside is that their venue is small. Great customer service, very friendly and doing the best they can with the size that they have.
Casey Lange
Pizza is bomb! Beer was delicious. Ambiance was rad. Our son played outside while we hung out and had pizza and beer.

Orlando Benedict
Delicious pizza, and we got some twangy live music!
Robert Leary
Pizza is great and it's one of the few places to get a slice. Plenty of room to sit. Only drawback is the service is a bit aloof and not always welcoming.
Cynthia Vancil
Pizza great, front counter could be better organized/more staff hired to accomadate large crowds as one sits in line for easily a half an hour at times.
Jonathan Leonard
I stopped in with my son to grab some slices and breadsticks during the day. Super tasty pizza!! Would love to go back!
Katy Wolf
I like coming here for trivia, where they give you a free beer ticket. Good pizza and I like that there's a separate bar in the back for cocktails. Divey but clean atmosphere.
Jerry Davis
It's known for great pizza. The covered booths outside are heated! As the bus rolls by the ground shakes... Fun!
Anne
Decent pizza; huge and fairly priced. Good beer on tap. Also live music next door which is fun.
Taylor Rosser
Went there on a Tuesday for $2 slices. Very generous slices and the live music was GREAT! Loved the atmosphere.
Cristal Cadwallader
I love the vegan options, besides the fact the the vegan cheese is so much to add on. I wanted to substitute mozz and they still charged me $3 instead of $1.
Niko Zuellos
Loved Monday night bingo. Brian and Mike were quite funny, and little tchotchkes as prizes is genius.
Vanessa

Jessica More
Really good pizza and fun environment!
Chris James
There's basically the parts to this place: the pizza place, the music venue, and the dark bar. I love all three sections for various reasons: great pizza, awesome bands, delicious mixed drinks!!

VeganSyd Most
They're genuinely friendly and vegan-pizza savvy. They took good care of a sizeable order. Excellent service.

Decent pizza, very soggy crust. Cheese they use is delicious. For the price and I'd rather choose Costco pizza..
Erik Clark
I'm not sure when this area became kid friendly, but all the obnoxious unattended children running amok last time I was there have forced me to go only very late at night. (So many bratty kids, I thought it was free coloring book day or something)

Genifer Wallace
If your gonna have a band to help celebrate St Patty's day, it might be in your best interest to have the makings for a car bomb. No Guinness or Bailey's??? Really!?!

Good pizza, and very expensive. I would rate it higher if the prices weren't so much. $80 to feed a family of 4 pizza and something to drink is a bit much.

Great environment and lots of seating inside, but come summertime, enjoy the great seats outside on Mississippi Ave. I love being able to buy pizza-buy-the-slice and this place does not disappoint.

For a place that has pizza in the name, the pizza is really bad. You can get better stuff at the grocery store.
