Had great dine in dinner tonight. Only few tables but we were seated pretty quickly. We ordered a Sausage & Peppers pizza, chicken fettuccine Alfredo, cheese tortellini marinara. All came out relatively fast bubbly hot. Super tasty. Our waitress was running & taking care of all the tables. So friendly and checked on us frequently. Great experience & looking forward to coming back.

I've been looking for a good Italian restaurant for a very long time. I have tried many places but wasn't satisfied. Yesterday, I thought I give this place a try and I have to say this place meets my standard. The food is so good and high quality. Looks like they put a lot of passion into their food. It has the homemade vibes. It looks like a family owned restaurant. It's a homey feeling place. Also this place is close to my house so I'll be getting some take outs here often.

The food is great, no table sitting every day anymore is not good and Everyone needs to find someplace else to go. We don't want to buy great hot Italian food then have to take it home to re-heat. I needed a quick lunch for the office, they were a lifesaver!! Pizza was ready when I got there, in and out in less than 5 minutes. Everyone loved the pizza! Great flavors and variety! Highly recommend!

Want a fabulous Friday? Then head to Mangis Italiana for the soup of the day, 4 Pepper Sausage. A cream soup with, sliced Italian sausage and yes, four different peppers. That's just the beginning. The soup is silky and spicy. Not the burn your tastebuds spicy, flavorful with a nice heat. Thinly slice red potatoes that are not overcooked or mushy. The portion size was 12 ounces. A new favorite. Thank you !

Every time I'm in the Omaha area I make sure I stop here to eat. The pizza is awesome, and there's a variety of other entrees to try. The customer service speaks for itself, very hospitable. It is money worth definitely spending. Keep up the great work that you do by treating customer's with respect and treating them like they're apart of the family.

My husband and I were in Omaha for the weekend and were looking for somewhere to eat for dinner. I saw how highly rated it was from other Google reviews and the pictures looked awesome, so we decided to try it out. We were not disappointed! This is a little hidden gem in Northwest Omaha. They have a drive thru window that had nonstop cars when we arrived, which was a telling sign of how good it is! However, we wanted to dine in so we actually were led to their downstairs dining area. We had a fantastic waitress who was very attentive to each table she had. We started with the Bruschetta cheese bread for an appetizer which was just as good as the pictures I had seen looked! We wanted to try a couple different things, so we decided on the Sweet Heat pizza and the baked chicken tortellini. Both were absolutely delicious! The tortellini also had the option of a soup or salad, so I ordered a dinner salad with their homemade Italian dressing. I told my husband that if I could buy their dressing, I would eat salads every day! It was so good! When we were done, we also decided to get a couple of the original flavor Cannoli to go. They also did not disappoint. If you haven’t tried this place, you should! My husband and I can’t wait to return next time we are in Omaha!

We catered through Mangia Italiana for our wedding reception and it was a hit. The planning process with Gina was very smooth. She let us taste test multiple entrees and clearly explained what they offered and what to expect the day of our reception. For entrees, we ordered the penne with meatballs in sugo sauce and the bowtie chicken alfredo; for a late night snack we ordered 12 pizzas (cheese, pep, sausage). Everything was SO GOOD, people are still telling us how much they enjoyed the food at our reception. My mother insists it is the best italian food she has ever eaten in her life. Gina and the servers did an amazing job with making sure trays of food were replaced when empty and that the food was kept warm. They also did a great job cleaning up the buffet without being a distraction (the buffet was in the middle of all the tables and I don't even remember seeing them pack everything up!). Thank you so much Gina and everyone with Mangia that helped out with our food service that night, we really appreciate you!

Ordered take out. Got the supreme without onions. Great flavor. Also got the cheese bread. Amazing. Tried the pasta with surgo and meatballs and pasta with meat sauce. Hard place to find. Use your GPS. Worth the trip.

Omaha’s little Italian secret. Nestled in an inconspicuous place in Irvington, they will blow you away with their timeless classics and new takes on Italian food. Parking and seating can be a challenge but once you’re seated you’ll forget about all of that. One of the best wait staffs in the metro area, reasonable pricing and outrageously great food. You won’t be disappointed.

The pasta sauces are amazing. I've spent two years in Italy and this is the best representation of authentic Italian cuisine I've had in omaha. There a very few tables but there always seems to be a spot available. Most customer seem to get items to go. The pizzas are hot and fresh too.

Very well done! I had the lasagna, a Salad, and canoli. The lasagna is a sweet sauce and is very good if you like sweet sauce (I dig them all). The portions are generous and was brought out in a timely manner. The staff was very friendly!

A problem occurred concerning toppings on our large pizza, but was quickly (& more than fairly) remedied. Mangia Italiana is 1 of our 2 (Sortino's) favorite places for pizza. The staff is very friendly. It's well worth the round trip from La Vista.

Ordered from Mangias for a family birthday party. Picked up the food the day before. It was ready when promised, with complete warming instructions. Food (lasagna and ceaser salad) was delicious. It served 25 people with plenty left over. Reasonably priced. Excellent in every way. Highly recommend it for your next big event.

Food and service were fantastic especially for the price. First time that Nebraska and if I ever find myself in Omaha again I will definitely come back. My wife got the shrimp scampi which was excellent. I highly recommend mixing the red and white sauces. Top notch!

First time there, parking was difficult. Dining room was small and crowded. Line to order lunch was long. You had to guess the food is as good as their reputation, based on what the visual. Minnestrone soup was hot, authentic, and tasted excellent! Lasagna was a hearty portion, hot, and delicious! Sauce is too sweet for me. Added black pepper and parma cheese, and that was solved. Great service, too. Second visit was somewhat disappointing. Service was less friendly. Line was even longer. Ordered soup and pizza lunch special. Pizza had excellent flavor, but was barely warm. Soup was stil good. Inconsistency is everywhere in Omaha restaurants, so it's not a surprise, just...sad.

Love this place. I've been coming here for several years now. I've never had any issues with any of my orders. My favorite is there spinach artichoke dip they do bread instead of chips. So good. I also like getting their grilled marinated chicken sandwich. My kids love their pizza. Really can't go wrong with trying this place out. The pick up window is at an awkward spot and when the parking lot is full it's hard to let ppl out of their spots and stay in line for pick up orders. But the food is totally worth it.

My husband and i were just at the beginning of our romance (Oct-'17) and always remember this place. I'm from Venezuela, b&r in a sicilian family and just 4 months before this place i was in Sicily...so the flavors were still fresh in me. I'm so dissapointed we live in Texas and isn't possible to came back there. Everything was amazing. Cannolis were a little different, but i have to say that ways to cook changes a little by region. So, we were pleased soooo far!!!

I am extremely picky when it comes to food,( I had my own restaurant) Everything was absolutely amazing. The Best chicken alfredo pizza I have ever had, Normally, I do Not like any type of pizza. I will be returning just for Mangia's pizza and I will be trying everything on the menu. I have never had anything here that I haven't liked so far. The portions are large, prices are reasonable, and the staff is always very friendly. This is a small but very busy restaurant, so be prepared to have a bit of a wait at peak hours although, it is well worth it.

Had this place for the first time last night and WOW it's good! Everything tasted really fresh. We were beyond impressed with the cheese tortellini alfredo. Normally baked pastas get so dry, we ordered extra sauce and ended up using it to dip our cheese bread because the pasta was PERFECT exactly as it was. It's a little more expensive than we can usually get and I'm so glad we spent a little more to get such good food. We were not disappointed at all.

In town for a delivery to Amcon down the street. Went there to find they close the dining area early due to lack of staff. Ordered some carryout and picked it up 40 minutes later. Completely worth the wait! It was very good. Had one of their baked dishes. Hot and delicious. When I come back to to town and deliver to Amcon again I will be back.

It was a long wait so we were really excited thinking it was going to be amazing. Our waitress was young, very nice, but forgetful and it took us a really long time to get drinks and other things. Other waitresses seemed to wait on our table more which is fine team work makes the dream work, as i also waitress I understand that our young waitress was probably very overwhelmed. The food breakdown: my kids pizza: was delicious and they definitely enjoyed it. The Spaghetti with Italian sausage: spaghetti was a tad overcooked, flavor of sauce was nice and sweet, sausage was sliced not ground but was decent, the meatballs: definitely tasted flash frozen and then microwaved. Not a lot of flavor and the texture was not great and there was a ton of water in the bottom of my bowl which i hate. The alfredo my husband found comparable to olive gardens. We did enjoy the garlic parmesan rolls though though we wish they were warm. Overall we are glad that we came and had the experience, but we probably wouldn't come back if in town again except for the pizza. We would definitely have the pizza again.

A discount or coupon for next time could have been offered for their mistake but was not. Short staffed like many other Omaha restaurants.

I was looking forward to trying this place. My parents had excellent pasta And the sauce was delicious. I got a salad with chicken since I needed something lighter. The chicken was a prepackaged cold lunch meat chopped chicken. Very disappointed in that. Will try something else next time...

This place is one that I have never heard of before, but is now my new favorite. The service was quick, friendly, and accurate with the order. The food was outstanding. It was one of the most delicious meals I’ve had for a long time. I recommend the lasagna which is what I had. However there’s not one option on the menu that did not look extremely satisfying. The location isn’t the greatest just because it is so far away from where I am. And it was a warm night with a lot of mosquitoes which made it a little uncomfortable to sit outside. Other than that there is nothing negative whatsoever I can say about my new favorite restaurant.

Oh man, I was blown away by this place! The pizza is amazing! The building itself is not much to brag about, there are only a handful of tables if you plan on dining in, but the pizza more than makes up for it! The place is packed! I saw a lot of people come in to pick up their pizza that they called in. We chose to wait the 45 minutes to dine in. We had the all-meat, combo, chicken alfredo, and spicy buffalo chicken. They were all great! My favorite was the spicy buffalo chicken! I highly recommend this place!

The pizza was so delicious. Usually I can eat 3 slices of competitors, but 1 slice was so filling! The seasoning was the best I've ember tasted on a pizza. Down side, we had put our order in and they forgot about us. However once brought to the attention of staff, it was quickly fixed. Definitely would go there again!

The first time I had Mangia Italiana was in 2012. I remembered the amazing taste of their sugo sauce for that long and on Saturday I was lucky enough to be in town and was able to experience that amazing sauce all over again. I also tried a few other of their items and was blown away by the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. My husband loved the Pesto bow-tie chicken as well and said the Italian Creme cake reminded him of his grandmas.

Delicious food! Try the buffalo chicken pizza, you won't regret it! Their cheese raviolis are fantastic as well. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Between the employees, the food and the price, plus a drive-thru for call ahead orders, it's awesome! Be warned, they do not have the room for big parties. I think their dining seats about 20-30 total, very cozy though.

Best lasagna ever !!! Sweet cheesy sauce....large serving. Rolls are great. Dinner salads are very large. Soup was really good with lots of veggies. Had leftovers....yea. Service was good. Server was nice & asked if we had been there before to explain menu. Really good for newcomers. A must stop for Omaha natives & visitors. First place my kids want to visit.

This was a nice little experience in North Central Omaha. I started out with the intent to go to WD Cravings and when I got there I was told they were out of the Beef bolognese, and that was the only reason I drove over there. So I went to the next closest place with pasta and it was a good choice. I enjoyed the Sugo and Meatballs with spaghetti and it was amazing. The sweetness with the little bit of spice to the sauce was wonderful. A perfect pairing of flavors that really made the meal note worthy. The meatballs were firm and flavorful. I very much enjoyed the experience and made sure to bring some of their beef bolognese home to try as well.

You have to love this place. It's a small family run local Italian restaurant with huge flavor! If I had to complain it would be about the long wait times when dining in and the long wait times when carrying out. It's something you expect, but totally worth it when you taste their food. I've never had a bad meal.

Went there today with a couple of co-workers and it was great. The atmosphere was nice and cozy, the food was very tasty and the service was great. I had the lunch special, which was a bowl of soup, slice of supreme pizza and a soda for only $6.99. I was very satisfied and the portions are a good size. I won't need to eat dinner tonight. I suggest getting there closer to 11:30AM to beat the lunch rush. Overall great experience.

Best kept secret in Omaha. This little darling of Irvington that started out as a catering business, expanded several years ago with a small dine-in experience and an enclosed outdoor patio. They also offer an order ahead carryout with a drive up window. They have great Italian fare and outstanding pizza. We have dined here many times and have never been disappointed. Their wine menu for this size restaurant is very good. Some time ago when we ordered a large size appetizer off their catering menu, it wasn't ready when we went to pick it up. Because we were busy with final arrangements for a party at our house that evening, they offered to deliver it. The owner brought it to our house...so very accommodating for what had to be a busy New Years Eve.

Had dinner here on a Monday night. The food is delicious. The only warning I have is the portions are large. Ordered the spinach artichoke dip appetizer, could have had that for my meal. Combining the appetizer with the large salad that comes with your entree...I had plenty of the cheese ravioli left for lunch the next day. Service was fast and friends and was very good about checking on us during our meal.

We had two different pastas, bread, and salad from Mangia for our wedding. Gena was affordable, honest, and flexible! Her prices are so reasonable and the food is delicious! She arrived early and had everything ready to go. We were able to get the reception started a little sooner than planned. We provided plates, silverware, and napkins for our guests but their staff served everyone and stayed around to clear plates from guests tables. She also packaged up the leftovers for our family to take home and share with out of town guests while we honeymooned the next week. I love coming to the restaurant for the buffalo chicken pizza! So delicious!

Delicious! Amazing! I could go on and on about how much we love Mangia Italiana. We had Mangia cater our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made. We met with Gina for a tasting a few months before the wedding and she was so nice. She made the process really easy and stress-free for us. The food was delicious! Neither my husband or I had been here before, but we can't wait to go back. They had great options for us that were way better than anywhere else we had been and at a great price. At our wedding, they were so helpful, quick, and professional. Everyone was really impressed with dinner and we will recommend Mangia to anyone and everyone. Second time we have been here, the food is fantastic. I recommend the brocolli cheddar soup and you can't go wrong with any of their entrees. There may be a tiny wait and it is worth it. Don't be afraid to sit downstairs, the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. Our server was Kim and she was wonderful!

Seriously the best hidden gem in all of Nebraska. We love everything we ever tried here!!!! I love their sweet heat pizza! Seating is limited so try to go not during peak hours and the parking in front is limited as well but soooooo worth it. They do take out too if you can't get a seat!

Small but great food. Hubby really likes their lasagna. The Alfredo is among the best I've ever had. They do a huge pizza take out business. Owned by local family - it is one of a kind.

This is the greatest little secret!! The service was very friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming. The restaurant is a Ma and Pa that has a lot of love in this business. The building was well kept, parking lot new and clean. Inside lots of nice little touches to give you that Italian flair. The food was amazing. We had the Garlic Cheese Bread, This was served on Real bread not just French bread, the marinara sauce was unique and very tasty. Then we had a thin crust pizza, WOW this was really good with the golden cheese and herbs and spices on the top. This place is Over the Top!!! This is not a part of town that we frequent but always looking for something when we are this way, well we found it!

My family orders carry-out from here 2 or 3 times per month. It is very reasonably priced and everything is amazing from their pizza to their pasta dishes. Their minestrone soup is the best I've ever had! They have a drive-thru where you can pick up your carry-out orders. Yes, I've had mistakes on some of my orders, but they've always taken care of me on the next visit.

Small inside but large benefits. You'll probably have to wait for a table but the service is quick once you're seated. Thinner Italian style pizza with a variety of available toppings. The Cannoli are crisp and sweet and there's a good selection of wine and beer. It's cozy and worth a wait.

Small cosy nice place. Always crowded so expect a 30 minutes wait to be seated. The food tastes amazing but full of oil , you don't believe me?! Put some leftovers in the fridge and watch a thick layer or oil get solidified over ur food. Don't I repeat don't sit outside mosquitoes will eat u alive and the hygiene will be compromised. One of Omaha's wonders! This is definitely a bucket list restaurant. My work catered a meal from Mangia italiana and I had to try the restaurant itself. It has a small done in area but it's perfect for two, four, or six people groups. My wife ordered fettuccine Alfredo and I ordered the chicken Diane. Both were absolutely delicious! Most restaurants will skimp on the sauce, not here. The salads were hefty and the bread was delicious! The table behind us ordered pizza and it looked just as amazing. Definitely will be returning and definitely will be telling our friends! Well done!

We ordered Mangia Catering for a retirement event at my workplace and it was fabulous. They had reasonable prices and everyone raved about the lasagna. Better yet, their customer service was top notch. In all the craziness of the party prep, a lasagna was forgotten when we picked up the food. We were in a huge hurry and it just sort of got missed. But we called Mangia right away and they volunteered to have someone deliver it to us and they arrived within 10 minutes. I also appreciated that they called after the fact to make sure we had been happy with our party food. I would definitely suggest Mangia catering!!

Have you heard rave reviews about Mangia Italiana? It's all true! This place is fantastic. I had the Pasta with Sugo - which was sweet and spicy. I loved it. Everyone else in my family loved their dishes: pizza, lasagna, pasta with marinara, garlic cheese bread, chili, salads and minestrone ... all delicious! There's not a ton of dine-in seating, but you can always get take out. The staff is very friendly! I only wish I lived closer : )

I had my wedding catered by these folks and were great to work with. The day before the wedding a snow storm hit my wife's family, and a bunch of guests weren't able to make it. We called and spoke with the owner about the situation; we were looking at having waaaaaaay too much food. they were willing to help us out and we came to an agreement on how we could cut the order. There was a contract in place, and they could said "too bad", but they were very understanding. PS, the food is pretty darn good too!

Chose this place because I was looking for restaurants that served Italian Beef sandwiches and was looking for a fix that I hadn't had since being in Chicago. While the Italian Beef here was a very good sandwich and I would recommend it, Mangia seems to put a little twist on it, serving with a healthy amount of cheese, no gravy, and very few peppers. That being said, it was still delicious and the service was kind and accommodating. The pasta salad served as a side was very good.

Having read some of the other reviews . . . I don't work at this place but I did live near here for many years. We LOVE this pizza! It is one of the things we will really miss about our old stomping grounds. When we visit friends near Mangia this is what we get for dinner. I will say I agree that they need to either move into a bigger space or greatly expand their dining space, but since we mostly get take out or delivery it's not a big deal to us. Maybe we can lobby for a second location in our new neighborhood??

Update: The manager called back and was able to reimburse the purchase, so I’m changing the review up to three stars. Used to love Mangia. Ordered BBQ Chicken Pizza and they put red sauce on the crust. The web menu says “grilled chicken, cheddar & onion on BBQ pizza sauce.” Called and asked to be reimbursed because it was wrong ($20 is a lot for a wrong pizza), and the owner said we should have known it was on red sauce. This is the only type of pizza I eat, and I’ve never heard of anyone making it on red sauce. Their website even says ON BBQ. Aside from saying we should have known better and “no one else has said anything about it,” they only offered 50% off our next pizza - which is useless to us because we won’t be returning.

It was not bad. Similar to Golden Corral alfredo and pizza, or any generic buffet. Parmesan rolls were just generic rolls with a dusting of grated Parmesan cheese with no additional flavor. It was very much like a cafeteria meal from a school.

Fantastic Italian fare in Irvington just off Sorensen Parkway! This ma and pa type restaurant is highly recommended for their take on Italian food. Pastas are delicious. You will love their sauces. Pizza is good too! The minestrone soup is one of the best in Omaha to my taste. Very nice salad selection. Their house dressing is tops! Slowly building customer base, the restaurant is slowly expanding in size. Now there is outdoor patio dining in addition to a rather small indoor dining room. You will love this place. I highly recommend it to you. We recently hosted a going away party for friends at Mangia's...and every one was pleased with the great food and great service. So will you!

Best Italian in omaha, we have tried all and the only that comes close is lo sol Mío. Even then they were only close for nearly double the price. You can tell Mangia is family owned and a great value. I recommend everything but seriously if I had to answer *based on what I have tried so far... get a sausage and pepper pizza, extra sauce if you are like me. Also without question grab some lagsana but definitely some tort w/white sauce and absolutely a piece of tiramisu. Seriously they are the best in omaha/Lincoln/council bluffs. Help small businesses stay in business and drive a bit before giving dominos another $ your tummy will thank you!

I'm sure it was a great place for a quiet dinner with the Mr/Mrs before the pandemic, but with food like this I don't think Mike Tyson himself could knock them out. Their 4-pepper soup is amazingly yummy. I love their pasta dishes that are RED sauce based. I recently had one of their alfredo dishes...was not impressed with the sauce (but I'm picky when it comes to alfredo sauces. It was flavorless and tasted more like flour. However, I'm still giving them a 4 star because they do not skimp on portion. If you are a big eater, their dishes WILL fill you up! And their 4-pepper soup is really the main reason I come here. This place is in an odd location, but worth a stop in.

My husband and I visited Omaha in August 2013. Although they have unconventional ordering practices, we were pleasantly surprised with the food and staff. My wife looked a long time for places to cater our wedding; we were going to end up with HyVee but she happened upon Mangia's somehow. We considered the pricing and menu and were really excited when we decided to pick Mangia's. We loved it and our family and friends asked us where the delicious food came from. I can't believe nobody on here has mentioned the Chicken Diane; it's our favorite. You know when you go to a restaurant and you really don't care how big the menu is because you know that you love that one item? That's how we feel. Granted, we've only been there 3x. We see people buying pizza there often and we haven't tried it yet. It's so hard to expand your horizons when you don't cross town that much and you know the Chicken Diane is waiting ...

We had a bit of wait. On entering it took us a long time to figure out where to order because there was nobody there to tell us how everything worked, but once you've been here a few times, I think that wouldn't be a problem. They generally have long waiting times due to popularity and not a lot of room to wait in. Primavera Sauce was a bit on the sweeter side (which I have read is authentic italian) but may not suit everyone's taste.
